Warnings: none (for the prologue)
"The more I try to understand Midgard, the more it seems to confuse me." A thunderous voice sounds from behind, startling the young woman. The plate in your hand drops to the floor bursting in tiny pieces. "I did not mean to startle you, my lady." The man chuckled from behind you.
You turn her head slightly in his direction. His golden hair flowed down in waves on his shoulders, his signature red cape replaced by a dark blue hoodie. "Thor! I'm sorry. I was just— deep in thought."
"No need to apologize, my lady. You just stay still, the shards seem to be everywhere."
You nod, following his figure with her eyes as he walks over, broom in hand. Your hands reach out to grab the platic as he hands it to you. The broom bristles hit the floor as you attempt to make a move to sweep the shards into a pile, but Thor holds out a hand to stop you, shaking his head slightly. He then proceeds to sit on his heels and starts picking up the bigger white pieces scattered across the black kitchen tiles carefully gathering them in the palm of his left hand. "How have you been? Asgard treating you well?" You ask as he turns to throw the pieces in the bin hidden behind the cabinet on his right. Eyes falling on your frame after he tilts his head in your direction.
Thor turns back on his heels as he keeps his eyes on yours. "I am jovial that my people have accepted the change so expeditiously. My coronation is set in a weeks time." He stands, dusting off his hands on his jeans and holds out a hand. The gesture makes you raise a brow at him before understanding that he wants you to hand him back the broom. His lips turn up slightly after the corner of his lips as you hand him the plastic back.
"You must be thrilled to finally lead your people as king." You stares at him as his sweeps across the floor, his eyes scanning the pieces as they are swept into a neat pile. How out of place this looks for a future king. He nods as he steps in front of you after disposing of the last shards. "Thank you."
"Not a problem at all, my lady. Oh! Speaking of the coronation in Asg—" Before Thor can finish his sentence another voice interrupts his words.
"There you are! Have you—" Loki strides into the kitchen with his head held up high, demanding a certain type of authority with his prenuptial. He looks from his brother to you as Thor steps away from you to turn to look at Loki. "Oh, never mind. Pardon me, am I interrupting you, dear brother?" He voice holding a tone that could only be described as indifferent as his eyes narrow and a smirk ghosts his lips. He knew exactly what he just had done.
"I was about to ask the Lady." Thor grins in Loki’s direction before turning back to the said woman standing next to him.
"Ask me?" Your eyes swifting between the two brothers in expectation, eyebrow raised. “What Migardian thing can I explain to the two of you today?” You ask the brothers, a small giggle leaving your lips as Thor laughs and Loki looks at her with a disbelieving sneer.
“I will have you know, dear mortal, That I-.”
“Brother.” Thor interrupst him, his tone demanding. "Well, you see, my lady. I was—"
"We. We were wondering." Loki objects and Thor glares in his direction.
"Right. We, we were wondering if you would like to be present." Thor smiles at you with hopefull eyes.
"Present where?" You look at the blond god with confusion in your eyes, your right brow raising slightly again as they knit together on your forehead.
Loki clears his throat as speaks your name and shakes his head with a roll of his green eyes. "What the oaf is trying to say—"
"Oi! I'm not an oaf."
"Of course not." Loki says to his brother with a sarcastic undertone in his voice. "As I was saying. We would like to invite you to join his coronation. To have you, dear pet, present and of course show you the wonders of our phenomenal home, now that father is not present anymore."
Thor glares at his brother. "Loki." He threatens. "He was still our father, have care how you speak of him."
"Oh, well, at least he can't hear it." Loki girns mischievously. “And he was not—; Never you mind.” He sends you a wink as he holds his silver tongue before gesturing his hand to his brother for him to continue.
Thor sighs as he turns back to look you in your eyes. "Don't mind his words, Lady." His voice low, the sound reminding you of rumbling thunder. "But we would be honored to have you join us in Asgard."
"I— I don't know what to say." You stammer. Eyes wide in disbelief, shock sending sparks over your back as excitement fills your blood.
"How about a thank you, your highness, I would be honored."
"Brother." Thor glares at Loki once again before turning back to you. "Think about it? Not too long, we would have to leave tomorrow at noon." He takes your hand in his.
"You will have my answer by tonight." You tell the Asgardian gods. Slowly rescinding your hand from Thor’s.
"I will await your answer in patience." Thor tells you as he steps in the direction of the door. "Don't take too long though." He winks before grabbing his brother by his arm and dragging him out.
"I beg your pardon, unhand me at once, brother." Loki swats at Thor's hand with a scoff and you chuckle at his reaction. "But yes, pet, please don't take too long with your answer." He says over his shoulder, green eyes catching your eyes.
"I won't." And with that your yet again alone in the spacious room. You chuckle to yourself as you continue to unload the dishwasher.
“Will you stop pacing! You are getting on my nerves. More then usual. And that is saying something.” Loki groans as he massages away his worries with two fingers between his brows. “She will accept.”
“And what if she doesn’t, brother? Mmm? What will happen then.” Thor stops his pacing abruptly, hands in fists at his side. His eyes roaming across the room before landing on his brother and he sneers as thunder claps outside. “She is taking a awful long time. Most mortals would be honored to be blessed to see our Asgard.”
“Now, now, brother. Being vain is more up my alley than yours. She WILL accept, not to worry.”
Thor doesn’t answer, he only turns on the balls of his feet and continues his stomping across the room. Slight rumble of thunder is heard outside before the room lights up with the flash of lightning.
“My, my, Thor. She will accept our generous invitation. She is a smart mortal.” Loki tells his brother as he cranes his neck to look at him. He holds back a sigh as he lets the words sink in himself. You are a smart one, right?
Thor growls at his brother and stomps back over. He grabs the front of his black overcoat and hoists him up his feet. “She should have been here by now.”
Loki, unfaced by his brothers anger, grabs his hands and rips them off of him. “Sit down, you oaf, and calm yourself.”
“But she-.”
A knock interrupts Thor’s words. “Am I the one interrupting something now?” There you stand, leaning against the door frame of the common room. “For two Gods, the both of you are hard to find.”
“Lady Y/n.” Thor sighs as he smiles at you, yet it doesn’t quite reach his eyes, the thunder outside now slightly reduced.
“Thor, Loki.” You nod as you step into the room. You eye both brothers curiously before folding your hands infront of you, a habit of nervousness. “I came to tell you of my decision. I’m sorry it took me so long.”
“No apologies needed, pet. Please, would you like to sit down?” Loki gestures to the seat in front of his, the leather fauteuil looks inviting as sitting on the floor.
“I’m okay thank you, after all, I would have to continue packing.” You from the fauteuil at him.
Loki’s eyes narrow as does his brothers. “You’re leaving?” The question is heavy on his tongue.
Your brows knit together and you turn to look at the floor, trykng to hide the smile trying to creep on your lips. “I am.”
Thor steps closer to you, his hand reaching up for you arm but he holds back. “What made you decide that.” His lips are in a tight smile as thunder slowly rumbles again outside.
“I— I mean,” you can’t get words out of your mouth, how could they be so daft. Instead you choose to look Thor in the eyes. You give him a pointed look and it takes him a second before a grin breaks on his face.
“Ah, I see, my lady.” He says as he plays along. You both turn to look at Loki who is trying to hold back a sneer. “It is understandable, isn’t it, brother?”
“Oh, is it now?” Loki glares at his feet as he takes his eyes from his brother to you, taking in the smile on your lips. A cheeky grin appears on you lips and his frown turns into a smirk.
“I would love to join you for Thor’s coronation. I would be honored.”
“I would say so.” Loki says with an undertone you can’t quite explain. He tuns to Thor. “It seems the mortal is smart after all.”
“You thought I wasn’t?” You ask while folding your arms disapprovingly. “How dare you.”
“How dare you trying to trick a trickster.” Loki turns up his chin as Thor laughs. “Well I must take my leave now. Have a good night.” And he walks off without another word. You frown in his direction as he disappears around the corner.
“Well, my lady, I am honored to have you with us in Asgard. But packing would not be necessary though. We can provide you with whatever you need back home.” Thor tells you with a generous smile, his eyes light up when he takes in your smile.
“Oh! I hope you don’t mind, but I’m already nearly finished. I would like to bring my essentials if that’s okay.”
Thor pats your shoulder before sliding his hands down your arm and taking your hand. “Take whatever you need, my lady.”
He squeezes your hand before you rescind it and nod your head. Turning on your heels as you make your leave. “Tomorrow at noon, correct?”
Thor smiles. “Tomorrow at noon.”
Hello darlings,
This is my first time writing on Tumblr and hope the story peaks your interest. I do want to warn you that reading this is at your own risk as it will contain dark elements from now on. This fic is after all a dark one. If your not comfortable with that, please don’t continue reading the rest of the story when posted.
I hope you enjoyed this prologue as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Love That Could Have Been
Pairing: Loki x fem!reader, Sylvie x fem!reader?
Summary: Loki and Sylvie talk about reader on the train
Word Count: 1.3k
Warning: Sad? Reader is just talked about, not present, mostly just angst
A/N: Wrote this a while ago, here you go!
Masterlist
“What about you? Any Princesses? Or perhaps, princes?”
“A little bit of both.” Loki responded, eyebrows furrowed, looking to be deep in thought, seeming with mournful eyes.
Sylvie looked at Loki with a curious gaze, trying to figure out what the variant was thinking. She waited a moment before choosing to change the subject, but before she could open her mouth, she was cut off.
“Well… There was someone..” He mumbled, full of uncertainty and regret.
“Who?” Sylvie gently asked, not wanting to push.
Loki observed how Sylvie tilted her head trying to show her curiosity. He noticed a look in her eyes, a look of hope, love, and… Recognition? He wasn’t sure… Did she know who he was talking about?
“She- She was my everything.”
Something flickered in Sylvie’s eyes as he said that. Her head whipped up so fast he thought she might get whiplash and her eyes went wide, begging him to continue. After a moment of silence due to Loki’s surprise, Sylvie started, eyes pleading him to elaborate.
“She?” Sylvie offered.
“Yeah, She. She was the best thing I had.” He paused and looked at Sylvie, who looked down, reminiscing of something. Her eyes soft, which was new to him considering how she wouldn’t even trust him to stay on guard while she slept.
Now Loki was curious; what or who was she thinking of? Loki continued after receiving an eager nod from Sylvie, beckoning him to keep going.
“She was always there. Always on my side. Other than my mother, and I suppose my brother, she was the only one to truly love me, for me. There were three people in this world, or I guess timeline,”
Sylvie nodded at his recognition.
“that actually loved me. And she loved me the most. Even when she was not there, I felt loved.”
Loki looked up with happy, lovesick eyes and smiled before his expression dropped.
Sylvie had a look of sympathy in her eyes, like she understood; and maybe she did.
“She was an girl from another realm, a princess actually.”
At this Sylvie’s head shot up from looking at the wooden table with wide eyes. If she wasn’t already listening, she was now.
“I knew her ever since we were young. You see, since she was princess, she would often come on Royal business with her mother. So, when both of us weren’t needed we would go off on our own. Even then I had a fascination for her.” Loki boasted.
Sylvie and Loki both smiled at the thought of her.
“And her name was-“
“[Name].” Sylvie sighed, cutting him off. A saddened look plastered upon her pale face. Shock rippled through Loki as she finished his sentence.
“[Name]- Yeah- Wait, hang on. How do you know [Name]?”
Loki asked adamantly, unbelieving that Sylvie, a runaway Loki variant, knew the love of his life.
“Believe it or not, I am still a Loki variant. I knew [Name]. She used to come to Asgard when I was little too. We used to so much together. I often asked for her to stay over and we would have sleepovers…”
Sylvie said, mumbling the last sentence.
Crossing her arms and resting them on the table, she smiled at the table before sighing. Her eyes darting around as if to not keep eye contact. The comfort she once had seemingly left her body; like a criminal leaving a crime site.
Loki was gazing at the table, the corners of his lips quirked upward softly. His chest rose and fell in a calm and steady rhythm, like he was at peace just thinking about the princess.
“I… I asked her to marry me.”
Loki said slowly, eyes flickering between Sylvie and the table. Sylvie gently rested her head on the table over her crossed arms. Sylvie brought her eyes to meet Loki’s, nodding slowly, letting him know to continue.
“She was on Asgard and we had been together for a few years by then…”
Loki let a long breath and softy smiled.
“She had just been talking with Thor regarding Asgard’s allies and I asked if I could pull her away for a moment,”
Loki paused, sighing before continuing.
“When Thor agreed, I took her to the garden. There was just the most beautiful flowers there, it was perfect. She…She looked curious and ever so slightly concerned. She- She really cares about me.”
Loki said smiling, whispering the last part softy, like a well kept secret.
“I told her that she was the best thing that ever happened to me, and that ever since I was young, she was always there for me.”
Sylvie smiled softly, and nodded gently, as a sign she was listening.
“I got down on one knee and pulled out this beautiful gold ring that held an emerald. She looked at me like I was pranking her, but none-the-less, she had tears swelling in her eyes. I said ‘[Name], you have cause me the most joy I have ever had and I hope I can cause you that much joy, forever more…Will you marry me?’” Loki finished.
Sylvie watched Loki closely, waiting for [Name]’s answer.
“Well?” Loki looked at Sylvie and chuckled softly.
“Well… She didn’t believe me at first…” Loki chuckled, a look of fondness in his eyes.
“I don’t blame her,” He continued.
“I am the God of Mischief. After she looked at me like I was pranking her, she pulled me up and kissed me. Saying how if I were lying that she wouldn’t talk to me for a month.” Loki said, chuckling again.
“I said that I would never joke about this. And instantly she said, ‘yes’.” Loki said, beaming at Sylvie
Sylvie smiled back at him, her smile not quite reaching her eyes.
Loki noticed this, tilting his head slightly, he asked, “What’s wrong?”
Sylvie avoided his watchful eye, finding the table in front of her suddenly very interesting.
“Did… Did you… Did you marry her?” Sylvie asked softly,-which was very out of character for her- eyes full of hope and longing.
Loki looked down at the table, the smile once on his face had fallen.
“Yes, I did but…” Loki sighed.
“But?” Sylvie offered again.
“But about two weeks after the wedding, is when Thor was to be crowned king. That’s when my jealousy got the best of me. And when I let the Frost Giants in Asgard.” Loki finished, eyes drowning in regret.
Sylvie opened her mouth like she was going to say something but quickly closed it, deciding against it.
“Shortly after is when I faked my death. I haven’t seen her since.” Loki added, letting out a deep breath, head lowering.
“What happened?” Sylvie asked carefully, leaning closer to make sure she hears everything.
“My nexus event was me escaping with the tesseract during the alien attack on New York.” Loki explained slowly.
“I was supposed to go back to Asgard with Thor. My mother was too die and I was to be in a prison cell. I was to be aloud out to help Thor’s Midgard girl, where I faked my death again. I took on the role of Odin and [Name]was always by my side.” He said smiling.
“I was to meet my sister, Hela, with Thor and help fight her, trying to protect Asgard and [Name].”
Sylvie looked at the table once again, and sighed.
“It looks like happy endings with [Name] are just not in the cards for us.”
“I guess not.” Loki replied dejectedly.
The two were silent for a while after, both reflecting on the choices in their lives. And how in the galaxy did it come to this, being on the run from the TVA for ‘straying’ from their predetermined timelines.
And why could they not be happy.
A/N: Another fic just in my drafts, need to let them out and fly! Hope you like it!

In The Spotlight
Chapter Four
Pairing: Loki x Reader
Word Count: Approx. 1.1k
First Chapter
< Previous Chapter
Next Chapter >
~~~
Your mind couldn’t completely comprehend his words. So instead of forming an intelligent response, you once again spluttered out a weak “Dad?” Then, a question formed in your mind. “How did you know I was here? Did Mom call you?”
“What? No, you know I haven’t heard from your mother in ages. The truth is, I didn’t know you were here. I was just heading into work.”
“You work here?” The query slipped past your lips before you had time to stop it, but instead of looking offended he let out a chuckle.
“Why am I not surprised that your mother didn’t tell you? I own the theatre company. After the divorce I started working here, and eventually worked my way up until I could buy it. That was how your mother won custody, since a starter job at a theatre didn’t seem to be able to provide for a child.”
A shadow passed over his face before he shook his head. “Now it’s my turn to ask, what are you doing here?”
You glanced down, feeling nervous about your response. If you told him you were auditioning, he might be able to help you land a position. But what if he thought you were trying to take advantage of his job? Deciding to answer with a half truth you replied,“Well, I came here for the Romeo and Juliet extra workshop.”
He gave you a meaningful look.“I meant, what are you doing in the city.”
“Mom kicked me out last night for not having a real job, so here I am.” A forced laugh bubbled out of your mouth, but you began to realize the full desperation of your situation.
He looked concerned, before giving you a comforting smile, “Well, you’re my daughter, so I know you’ll do well. I can show around if you’d like. Give you a quick tour of the building.”
“That’d be great,” you beamed. “Thank you so much.”
“It’s the least I can do,” he replied, leading you toward the gleaming glass doors. As you entered the building a gasp left your mouth. It was absolutely gorgeous.
A crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling of the foyer, glinting warm light off the shining marble floor. A grand staircase led to what you presumed to be the auditorium. “This is all yours?”
He nodded as he led you towards the room where auditions were being held. “It took me quite some time to amass the funds to buy it, but thanks to a few, uh, contacts, I was able to acquire it.” He beamed at you, obviously proud of himself. You were proud of him too, but to be quite honest, you were also upset.
After all those you spent, barely making ends meet, he was living in the lap of luxury. Just thinking about all the times you struggled to even open the door to your clunker of a car made you dizzy. All those times you had to stall buying things or skip going out to save money could have been avoided if he had done something.
Apparently you didn’t mask your thoughts as well as you had hoped. “You probably think I’m a terrible dad, huh? Sweetie, I promise you, if there was anything I could have done I would have. But your mom refused to accept any money, she was too proud. Insisted that she could make enough money from her ‘real’ job.”
You felt your chest tightening. It didn’t add up. How many things had she kept from you? But you had to push those thoughts aside. No, now wasn’t the time to worry about it. But once you aced this workshop you would call her and give her a piece of your mind.
“I know it’s a lot to take in,” he continued, “but maybe we can talk after your audition ends. We can work out an arrangement.” He turned to leave, but turned back at the last second. “I’ll be sure to put in a good word for you with the director,” he winked.
You laughed, but replied, “I think I can make it on my own.” With a smile, you turned your attention to the stage, where a few people were milling around.
It took a moment, but you took a deep breath and walked up the steps. Heading towards what seemed to be the woman in charge, you smiled. “Hi, I’m here for the Romeo and Juliet workshop?”
She nodded, “Do you have your identification?” You handed her your driver’s license and she smiled. “Perfect, I’ll put you in the system. We have some time before it starts, so you can go meet the others who are auditioning.”
“Thank you,” you answered, feeling the knot in your chest loosen. It was going well so far. Squaring your shoulders, you went over to a small group of actors. They were excitedly chatting so you hoped to slip into their conversation.
“So then Hamlet slipped and dropped the skull!” Everyone began laughing and you realized you must have come in at the end of a story. One of the girls turned to you and smiled.
“Hey there, new girl.” You blushed, trying to think of a response. “No worries,” she laughed. “Everyone’s welcome to join our little circle. So you’re auditioning?”
“I am,” you smiled, thankful for her warm welcome.
“We are too, although we’ve heard the competition will be cut throat this year. Ever since they spent big bucks on a new up and coming actor to play Romeo the auditions have been getting more difficult.”
“A new actor?”
“No one knows who he is yet. But rumor has it he’s going to be here today, so we may have a chance to meet him. I’m Andrea by the way.”
You introduced yourself, which Andrea responded to with a firm handshake.
“It’s nice to meet you,” she said with a smile. “That’s Sam,” she nodded to the boy to your left. “That’s Kat,” Andrea pointed to the girl on her right. “Oh and here comes the star of the hour,” she chuckled as another girl came over and joined the circle. “This is my girlfriend, April.”
As Andrea caught April up to speed, Sam nodded to you. “Don’t look now, but I think the new actor is here.”
“Where?” You looked around but couldn’t quite place who he was talking about.
“I just said not to look,” laughed Sam. “But he’s over by the door, talking to the owner.”
You turned your head, and your breath caught in your throat. There he was, Loki, the cute jackass from the gas station. Things were about to get really interesting.
The first thing Lillian noticed was the snow. It was like no snow on Earth or Asgard.
Each snowflake looked like a crystalline puzzle piece. When one would fall from the sky, it locked in place with another, drawn to the exact snowflake in which it would fit. There was an indiscernible and spooky quality to it.
It occurred to her that it was like someone collected all of Loki's tears he had ever shed, froze them, and scattered them across an entire realm.
The snow was emotional. But so was Jötunnheim. It wasn't just the snow.
There was an eerie feeling as they walked past the canyons and the cliffs, past the dense thickets of what looked like trees. If the snow made Lillian feel like she was going to cry, then the cliffs made her heart swell. So much so that she had to take extra breaths.
It seemed as if hidden in the clouds were the emotions of endless lifetimes of experiences. Separations, marriages, births, all the wars. Lillian considered that this must be the Jötunn way. If it could be devastating at times for humans to carry their emotions, what had it been like for the Jötunn? What had they discovered about their survival that resulted in such a dramatic evolution? When she went deep into her heart, she felt the truth, Jötunn deemed their bodies unsafe places to feel anything.
To circumvent the consequences of their sensitive, dynamic physiology, they created a way for emotions to exist still, just not in a personal way. Jötunn's choices and their lives were guided by something else. Something far more mysterious and perhaps unknowable to even the most adept Aesir to comprehend.
No wonder they were both drawn to one another and, in the last centuries, at war with one another.
The Aesir were much like humans, driven by the forces of their emotional lives. When Lillian thought about her lover Loki, her child's father, she wondered if his struggles to "do the right thing" often didn't have the same emotional motivation or even sense of right or wrong.
Whatever love he had learned to feel was like the siður Frigga had taught him. If he excelled at using his siður, would he someday excel at love too?
All this sudden revelatory insight was a dizzying experience for the first kilometers of their trek. She mostly endured the disorientation of encountering the emotional ecosystem of Jötunnheim alone, afraid to speak of it to Loki for the moment.
She had gotten so big seemingly overnight, her health stable for the moment, and she had succeeded at keeping herself and the baby alive. Being so far along in her pregnancy made their hike difficult, though. Loki constantly asked Lillian if he needed to carry her, which was kind but unrealistic. She would only ask him if it came to that.
They had been on Jötunnheim for less than an hour, and Lillian's curiosity had already supplanted her fear, as it often did. She remembered Loki calling her brave. She wished she would have corrected him then. She was not courageous, just easily curious.
In this receptive state, she was able to carry them both forward. Loki was practically ghostly.
His pale white skin matched the layers of snow and ice they walked through. The silence he afforded also gave him a spectral aspect. Individual snowflakes landed in the fur of his cold weather cloak. He pulled up the hood and became fixed in his thinking. He just wanted to arrive at their destination as quickly as possible and then leave quickly.
Heimdall had landed them on what Asgardians would call bergkløft, further enough away from being quickly detected, but this meant a long, arduous hike in deep snow to the location most likely to be occupied by what Loki and Lillian hoped were the Jötunn version of healers or doctors. They could be scientists like on Earth for all they both cared. Someone must know how to keep a frost giant child alive inside her body.
The area they were in search of was similar to the entryway to the trans-dimensional portal of the lapis cave on Asgard. This choice made the most sense as a starting place, and Heimdall could see the portal between their worlds enough to use the Bifrost to transport them.
Much of their relationship had been like this, guessing the best course of action and moving forward into the unknown.
It was invigorating to Loki, who was experiencing a new future unfolding for the first time in his life, even if it was harrowing and much more dangerous than his previous course of longing for a throne he would never have and bidding for attentions never given.
He had the attention of Lillian.
He would have the attention of his son, once he was here safely. Yet still, something was eating at him. Even in such a risky situation as they now found themselves in. Even as he watched Lillian walk beside him, her long brown hair framing the face he found arresting to his senses, Loki could not quite picture the happy ending his growing feelings seemed so desperate to discover with her.
He wanted more time with Lillian that he knew for sure. More time as lovers, parents to a young, complicated child, more time to know one another.
Loki mused that some of the previous lovers he had known for centuries. Lukas was with him for decades off and on. More than someone who just warmed his bed. Although bitterness had crept into their connection, Lukas had fallen more deeply in love with Loki than he was capable.
Loki wouldn't let himself imagine being officially tied to Lukas for reasons he could never explain thoroughly enough for Lukas' liking. So, they both moved on. Although they would find themselves in familiar spots, chapters of the lives they thought were closed would re-open, right where they left off…As he was walking, Loki found himself lost in a particular memory-
Trondheim, Norway-Midgard, another century ago…
They were drunk by Midgardian standards.
Shoving their way out of the crowded dining hall. Lukas was careful not to hold Loki's hand amongst the more primitive Nords. They celebrated their help in successfully planting crops and obtaining a viable harvest, a rarity in the rock-laden landscape that would break any metal equipment that dared dig a meter or more to plant any seed.
Odin had sent Loki down to help them. Loki reluctantly went, but only if he could sneak his lover with him. It had been a long time since they had seen one another. Loki was the god of the field and Lukas' bed, as he liked to tease him.
It was midnight, late in the summer, early fall. Seasons on Midgard were such a novelty. They had just finished a swim in the tepid water, also a passing novelty. Norway was not a warm place for long. Water was the first thing to get too cold. Besides Loki's heart, Lukas also liked to say
"L," as Loki called him then, would tease him about these things, but primarily he would tease him about his hair. The way he flipped it around, the way it curled perfectly, and looked greasy and unkept all at once. The way all light sources seemed to be incapable of reflecting off it. The black of Loki's hair simply absorbed the light…
That night, they tumbled around the handmade quilt L had laid out by the lake shore. Jousting, pinching, punching, choking one another until someone called it. It was always sudden when their playfulness became something more.
Without much notice, Loki's pants were off, and he was in L's mouth.
L teased, "you're still so huge."
Loki gasped for breath, trying to find a way to reply, "you're exaggerating, you shouldn't, you don't need to, not with me anyway."
He didn't stop, "you know how big you are."
"Don't the ladies still tell you?" he teased again.
Between lavishly sucking his cock, L said, "they must not notice your hair when staring at your cock. It's a distraction," he laughed more before taking him deeper.
"Fuck you," Loki said, barely audibly.
"Please fuck me," L replied as he pulled Loki onto him, their hands clasped. Loki looked over his shoulder, checking again if they were truly alone. He grabbed him, held his cock roughly, stoking it, then plunging his mouth over the tip. L wasn't so small himself, but Loki could never tell him. He didn't speak to L like that.
So much time had passed since they had last seen one another. Before Trondheim, they had been untraceable to one another. Covering their tracks in the snow.
"Are you going to do this?" L said, now out of breath, fingers laced in his hair.
"Obviously, but you need to shut up first," Loki said as he fumbled, pushing L's legs up.
"Shush."
Loki closed his eyes as he entered him. Then he opened them widely. He wanted to see his face and his laughter. He always laughed so much with him. It was absurd to fuck your best friend. But they did. They always had. For all the women in their lives who didn't understand, there would be one who loved it and ones that wanted to join in… They didn't usually let them. They didn't talk about it either. It was just understood somehow. "Something impossible," according to L.
But wasn't it like that for most people you've known for so long? If it was not love, then it was simply just time. Enough time would make anyone bound to you. At least, that was what Loki reasoned.
He had only known Lillian for eight months.
What more was there to her? She was a brilliant journalist and had a whole life back on Earth. A family and her friends. All of this was seemingly forgotten as the energy of their connection condensed everything into their binary star-Loki and Lillian.
He liked the sound of their names together. What made Lillian different than the countless women and men? He never had a pregnancy scare with any of his other lovers. Why was this happening now, and with a human?
On his best days, he only focused on the task of the moment, but today even in the middle of such danger, he considered her humanness and the additional burden she was bringing.
Their joyful lovemaking in the library. In another dimension, they would have stayed playful lovers, slowly growing either more and more attached or eventually finding themselves annoyed with the inevitable shortcomings of one another—the usual.
Instead, they conceived a baby, on the solstice, in the royal library, and this child revealed his parent's deceit. Despite all his judgment and confusion, he loved her. Or something like that, at least. He knew this in his heart, even if it was getting harder and harder to express. Even if he couldn't see the future, the present drove him to do the noble thing. Stand by Lillian. Make this right.
"Lillian, the cave," Loki pointed to the round, similar basalt structures to the east of them. They had finally arrived.
"We can do this. We are almost there," she spoke back to Loki, although primarily reassuring herself. Loki noticed her fatigue.
"I want to carry you the rest of the way, Lilly. Will you let me? You must be exhausted."
She let him.
He picked her up with his large hands and carried her. Looking up at him with a broad smile, he seemed to struggle slightly.
"Your son is getting big if you haven't noticed," she said, laughing now, folding an errant hair behind her ear.
"Oh, I noticed," Loki replied with a smug smile etching his face.
Moments like this, they felt like a couple, not just two desperate people trekking in a dangerous realm. His strained face made both laugh every few steps until they reached the cave. He gently slid her out of his arms and back onto the frozen landscape.
They were still alone. No Jötunn had detected them. Loki had cast a shield around them, a kind of cloaking device, but Lilly knew it might not work for their son. If he had made his appearance known on Asgard, what were the chances someone on Jötunnheim might also sense him?
From Laufey's perspective, they had two choices. The first was to deploy soldiers to the old cave where they had detected the sign of a lone Jötunn or ignore it, let the Jötunn perish in the blistering cold with no resources. If a Jötunn was that ignorant to be alone and unaccounted for, their death was fitting, even under the current circumstances in Jötunnheim. It was simple.
Usually, he excelled at such simple decisions.
Had Laufey not dreamed of his lost son only a few months ago, he would have just made his decision, but Azira's image haunted him. Something felt out of place in his usual planning and the order of his reconstruction and rule of Jötunnheim.
The only logical conclusion was that perhaps his son had been found, this thought would not leave his mind, and it was not something he could tell anyone else. His son's life had become hidden, forgotten, erased. Only he and Azira knew of him if she was still alive. If this son were still alive, he would be the rightful heir to the throne or worse.
A thousand thoughts complicated Laufey's evening. He should have been attending to the latest challenges his council were appraising him of, yet he could not think well enough to listen to them.
Indeed, Jötunnheim was not a place of abundance.
Not only were frost giants waning in numbers but also food, resources-including anything extra that would bring life meaning. Even their connection to their gods was changing. Many frost giants had lost their faith. Political infighting had worn down the potency of his rule. Under such austerities, every Jötunn was accounted for and known. It was the only way Laufey was holding on to any power.
Although it would not befit a king to travel to a remote area of his realm for one possible Jötunn who was out of place, he could not explain his journey other than it would do him well to get away from the political strife for a little while. This his most trusted allies understood and believed. For the moment.
It would take a few days by foot to reach the cave. He was unfamiliar with a feeling of hope or even the drive propelling him on this journey. Yet, in the darkness of night, he embarked to see what might be waiting for him, even if only his dreams were unaccounted for.
When Laufey finally reached them, the change had already taken place. Lillian exited the cave, her blue legs wobbly, while Loki helped her navigate her large unfamiliar body. He held her hand and looked at her with a gaze of astonishment. The round pregnant belly she displayed was marked with the lines of Laufey's people.
Laufey stared at the seemingly Aesir man and held his breath.
What was left of his feeling heart rattled. He placed his hand over his chest, trying to calm himself, even with his raven hair and eyes the color of Jötunn lakes.
Laufey knew.
He knew he was staring at his son.
Laufey could see Loki's tender concern for the woman, but he could also see a bold countenance behind his supportive appearance. This concerned him, and why had he taken on the appearance of their enemies?
Was he a sorcerer or a mage? Further, Laufey's intuition was highly sensitive since his emotions were not clouding his clarity.
He also knew the woman his son was with was not a frost giant.
They were both concealing their identities, but why?
He lingered his gaze on her.
His son's wife or lover.
Laufey could not tell which she was. His son did not seem betrothed.
Lillian's pregnant belly alighted feelings in him long forgotten. Memories of Azira flashed through his mind. He had been there when she gave birth to Loki and practically delivered the child by himself. The war had devastated their entire realm, and no healers were left.
The known world for Laufey was collapsing, but he stayed hiding in the ice-covered landscape. He knew they had risked their lives and the tentative peace between Jötunnheim and Asgard just being there.
If he made his way towards them, more was at stake than the chance to reclaim his son and investigate what was happening with the woman and their child…
Where had his son been all these years? He asked himself again, shaking his head in disbelief. A long blue hand covered his mouth as if to stop him from calling out to Loki. So many unanswerable questions charged the marginal peace he was clinging to with a strange protective feeling. However, he was unclear about just what he felt protective of.
He wouldn't sleep tonight.
He let them leave. He knew it was best for him to wait this out.
There would be a time when he would make his presence known. Not today.
Loki was stunned. For Lillian to change her body. To willingly transform into the most despised creature, himself.
It had been the only way, according to the Jötunn healer poet Lyra, a woman with no children of her own but with the ability to protect the ones coming into the realms. She was stalwart about their options. Lillian must change into a frost giant body. The child would not live otherwise. There was no other choice.
"She might not be able to turn back. You should know this before we go further," Lyra said briskly, brushing past them both with tall glass bottles in her hands. She proceeded to pour them into a metal cup, preparing the concoction that would turn Lillian. She looked up at them, waiting for a response as she stirred.
Lillian did not need any time to think. She simply said, "I'll do it. I will take the risk of possibly permanently staying a frost giant."
Loki was not sure at all that this was their final option.
"Lillian, where will we live if you change into a frost giant? How will we ever be together? How will our child ever have a family? This might be forever. You cannot risk this. We must simply take the chance and try and deliver our son back to Asgard. We will face it if he's truly a frost giant."
She stared through him, not knowing how to answer his questions so laced with his fears. It was clear, though, what he was actually saying between his breaths and long sentences.
He would not become a frost giant with her, should it come to that.
"You wouldn't change along with me, Loki? If I can't go back?"
"Lillian, how can you ask me this? Isn't this crisis in our child's wellbeing and life enough? Why must I go into this too?"
The wind outside the healer's cave picked up just then. Swirls of snow blew past the dark entrance, some getting inside, landing on Loki's long eyelashes as he paced back and forth.
Lyra was busying herself, but it was clear she was listening. She was a frost giant. This seemingly Aesir man was behaving offensively to even her high tolerance. She dropped one of the smaller glass bottles to the cave floor, shattering, leaving dried flowers strewn.
"My lady, I am so sorry," Lillian offered as she knelled down to help pick them up.
"No, do not help me. Sit down and rest. I am the one who dropped the bottle. Your husband's tongue is sharp and cutting to my nerves."
"He is not my husband," Lillian said, almost in sync with Lyra's growing agitation.
"Well, what is he then to you?"
She looked at Loki, now sitting on an old stool too big for his small Aesir body. It looked like a couch. He looked so sad and innocent. Scared. His life was becoming impossible to ever return to, this was at the heart of his fear.
Finally speaking, "he's the father of my child. I love him dearly, but he doesn't yet know what he wants. Sometimes his fears get in the way of my feelings for him."
Lillian couldn't believe she said that out loud.
Lyra noticed the shock on Lillian's face, "The cave is known for its truth-giving properties. This is also why I also know that this is the only option for you," she said, handing the steaming cup to Lillian.
Loki stepped in between them. He held Lillian's shoulders with his large hands. He turned his head, looking back at Lyra.
"What if she is killed in the process? What if my son is harmed? How can you guarantee they will live!" Loki was hysterical.
"Young man, a frost giant yourself, look deep within for the answer. I have no time for the fears of those who raised you to be something other than who you truly are. I will only answer you when you speak as your true self," Lyra's eyes flashed deep crimson at Loki.
"I can't be here for this. I can't watch," Loki shuddered, almost feeling faint.
While Loki was talking to Lyra, Lillian already drank the potion. She sat the cup down on the table.
Lyra noticed and approved, "Good job, brave girl. Now lay down. I'll cover you up and when you wake, you will be "another yourself," as we say here. We are not afraid of many bodies, many lives, being more than just what we see in the mirror, and soon you won't be either."
Loki was dumbstruck. What little control he felt he had in the situation was utterly gone. Lillian was asleep quickly under many large blankets and furs. They engulfed her body until you could only see the top of her head.
"Son, let her sleep. Come see," Lyra pointed for him to sit with her. She pulled out an old book, like the kind he enjoyed reading back home. He did not know whether to stop looking or keep looking, afraid of what he would see or not see, but he joined Lyra, tired and weary.
"She will be fine," Lyra reassured him.
"Loki-I wonder something, have you thought of names for your son?"
He was amazed at this question. Why was the healer asking him this?
"No. We haven't the chance," he said, running his hands through his long hair.
She flipped the yellowed pages and came to an illustration next to a gilded script. Holding the book up in the dim light, she said, "How about Kasse?"
"Why Kasse?" Loki had rarely heard this name.
He grabbed the book from her and inspected the picture. It was of a handsome man holding a flag, standing next to a slayed Midgard dragon-like creature.
Lyra explained, "Kasse was a great leader, from a city in Midgard, many years ago. You must have been young then, or maybe not yet born. He was part frost giant and part human. One of the first ones. He was a shapeshifter. His life was long and interesting, with the kind of heartbreak that made his heart stronger, not weaker," she continued.
Loki was intrigued but still wrestling with understanding why Lyra chose this particular man.
"Will you consider it at least? Tell your wife."
"She's not my wife. We already told you we aren't married."
"When will you ask her then, young man? How much longer will you wait? Or are you the type to only marry if you can steal her from another, only interested in a prize?"
"Enough," Loki got up.
"I'll consider your name, but you will go no further with your insults to my character."
Lyra smiled and looked over at Lillian. The blankets that once engulfed her were now right-sized for her new body.
She had become a frost giant.
Loki did not expect to feel the way he did. He could not look at her.
Her once beautiful features were now blue, gargantuan, and covered in lines, archaic and tribal. It was what he looked like without his Aesir siður. It disgusted him.
She did what she had to do to save their son, but now she was a walking reminder of all he hated about himself.
While studying Loki's troubling reactions to Lillian, Lyra reached into one of her old desks and pulled out an old tarnished locket. While Lillian was still waking up, she opened Loki's hand and placed it in it, closing his fingers around it.
"You will know what to do with this, but likely not a moment before you have to use it."
This was an unnecessarily vague statement. Loki looked at Lyra with slight disdain but agreed to keep it, even if it seemed to serve no purpose. His regard fit similarly to her suggestion that they name their child Kasse.
When Lillian was roused enough to stand, Lyra gave her the suggestion of relocating immediately to Ostrya.
"Good, you are awake," Lyra said, standing over Lillian, helping her to her feet.
Lillian felt her body, checking to ensure she still had two arms and two legs. She checked her reflection cast from the metal cabinet tucked away in the corner of the healer's cave workshop. She could see her ruby eyes staring back at her. It was distressing yet comforting. She felt her son stirring in her belly. He seemed to approve of his new home for a little bit longer.
Looking at Loki was too much; she knew he must be feeling partially relieved and partially repulsed.
Lyra was reading her thoughts like any good healer is apt to do, something Lillian was slowly growing more comfortable with; she stood next to her and spoke, glancing over at the worried Loki in the corner.
"You don't have a place to go, child. Asgard is not safe. Jötunnheim is not safe. Earth is not safe, except for Ostrya. Please have that kind Heimdall transport you there. Do not return to Asgard. Do you hear me, both of you, don't go back there until after Kasse is born safely."
"Kasse?" Lillian spoke quietly, getting used to the changes in her voice.
Loki stood closer to her side, trying with all his ability to pretend she was still the woman he loved.
"Lyra says we are to name him Kasse," Loki said, looking at her belly, wondering if something had happened to his son or if he still had the same noisy, emotional energy. He stopped himself from touching Lillian's belly and finding his connection to him again. He would wait until later when he could handle the onslaught of tumult raging through him with more grace.
"It's beautiful. I like it. Kasse Lokison, he sounds like a warrior," Lillian said, a proud smile beaming across her face. She glanced at Loki, searching for his approval. Loki smiled weakly back, his mind in other places.
Lyra came and hugged Lillian, "yes, a warrior's name for your son would be fitting."
Lillian hugged Lyra tightly back, feeling the desire to touch her forehead to hers. She followed her instinct and did so. Lyra returned the gesture. Loki intercepted and guided Lillian towards the cave entrance.
"If we are to head to Midgard, then we should leave. We thank you, Lyra, for your help," Loki attempted to wave goodbye to Lyra as he took Lillian's arm and led her out of the cave awkwardly, her new body clumsy and not coordinated.
"Can you let Heimdall know Loki?" Lillian said hesitantly, turning to him, but Heimdall had already heard her. He had been watching and waiting, not missing a second.
Suddenly they were whisked from the cave, leaving a cloud of icicles and aberrant snow in its wake.
It was true. One of the only places they could go was a remote ironwood forest in the mountains of Midgard, Ostrya.
They could not go back to Asgard like this. Loki could not return with Lillian as a frost giant. That all seemed to be true.
Ironwood, made of a particular molecular configuration, stripped visitors of any supernatural powers upon entering. It was dense and hard to navigate, and legends spoke of creatures living there undetected and rarely seen for centuries. This was one of the only places they could go to hide out and wait for the baby to be born.
Since Loki's powers would also be affected by the forest, they had to do a Midgard thing. They rented a cabin.
It was like the cabin she had been living in on Asgard. Lillian felt she could give birth there safely, although that particular thought brought immense fear.
Since they had been gone, her prenatal care had consisted of the limited psychic reading Lyra had done, concluding that the baby was progressing along with a human calendar system and would be born in only weeks. Lyra had given them another small book on Jötunn fertility, but it was written completely in Jötunn. It did contain illustrations, but they were pretty comical. It looked like the frost giants were skiing, not giving birth. Lillian wondered what truly lay ahead for her. She wished she could have Frigga nearby or her own mother. Her girlfriends. A doctor. Anyone really.
Now that her body could safely birth Kasse, the worry about the rest of their lives could come front and center.
Where would they go after he was born? With Loki growing more and more distant, would they even stay together? Would she stay a frost giant and raise her baby hidden away here?
Lillian also struggled to be back on Earth since they arrived. In a frost giant's body, the sensory experience of Earth was alarming and overwhelming. Every bird call was a shiver down her spine. Anytime her emotions would dive deeply into despair, her whole body would cleave and fall. She truly understood Jötunnheim now, the realm's design, the way emotions were kept in the natural world and not in Jötunn's bodies. She would give anything now not to feel so overcome.
So would Loki.
Days passed, and Loki was restless. He was determined to leave under the guise that they needed things; they were unprepared, which was true enough. However, Loki could go into the nearby cities and find what they needed. Instead, he insisted he go back to Asgard and get supplies there. Lillian knew this was too risky. So far, it was unclear if anyone in the royal family knew about their plan, what they had done, or where they might be.
"I promise I'll be back very shortly, Lillian; I know we are down to just a few weeks until Kasse arrives, if that is what we are calling him," Loki said, with a clinical tone, looking around Lillian, not directly at her.
"I think that is his name," Lillian said, with a faraway tone in her voice.
He grabbed his sweater, fastened it up, and put on each boot. There was a methodical slowness to his dressing. He was perhaps stalling, hoping Lillian might tell him not to leave. She knew he was repressing his fear, doubt, and, unfortunately, his love for her, which was still there, a flickering flame beneath the surface, just unreachable.
She could not change how Loki reacted, so she let him leave.
"We will be here, Loki, waiting for you," she finally said, grasping for the right words, patting her belly, and looking at him with as much sincerity as possible.
"I know you'll both be fine," he said as he finally put his cloak around his broad shoulders.
Although he wanted to hold her and reassure her physically. Kiss her. Remember her. Tell her he saw inside the Jötunn body she now resided in. He just couldn't quiet the voices in his head that rejected everything about how she looked and who he was.
His impending fatherhood felt like it was crushing him now. He worried especially that Lillian would ask him to change into a frost giant if she could not indeed turn back into a human.
His answer was clear; he would not do it. He simply could not. She would have to understand that it could mean the end of everything.
He opened the door and left, looking back only once. Only when he had gotten so far away, there was no chance he would run back into her arms with his mind changed.
The Bifrost opened, and Loki found himself arriving back in Asgard.
Prisoner: Loki x Reader - 8
Don't think any warnings apply
-
Jot finished cleaning up and sat down back on her pillow, staring at you.
You were still chained on your back and unable to move.
Frowning sympathetically, Jot shook her head. “I’m not sure he likes you much.”
“Why do you say that?” You snapped irritably, still feeling empty and now quite exposed.
“He never did that to Dot. Then again, he usually just got what he wanted out of her and left.”
“Did he not fuck the others?”
“No, not really.”
You groaned, trying to shift your position, hands going numb. “Bastard.” You muttered through grit teeth.
Jot looked over at Loki’s sleeping form before back at you. “Careful, I don’t know what he hears.”
“he’s sleeping, no?”
“I never trust to talk unless he’s out of the room. Get some rest.”
“How in blazes am I supposed to do that?”
Jot sighed and moved closer, rolling you onto your side.
“Thank you.” You mumbled, blood flow returning.
“If he asks, you did it yourself.” Jot muttered, before laying down back to you.
You lay there, scowling and cursing furiously under your breath.
A gold mist began to fill the room. Relt and Gelt sat down, leaning against their staves and began to sleep. You could hear Jot’s soft snores beside you as she sank into a deep sleep.
You knew this magic. Sleeping magic.
Yet there was a cocoon around you, preventing the sleep from hitting you.
The room became impossible to see through, the gold mist so heavy.
Through the gloom, Loki appeared, crouching down beside you. He smiled softly at you, reaching over and touching your cheek.
Hating yourself for your weakness, you leaned into it, desperate for any touch.
“My, my. How the mighty fall.”
You grit your teeth and glared at him.
“What would you do for relief? Would you give up your family, your people, your kingdom, your freedom?”
You balked at him. Searching for a reply, you landed on, “you’ve already taken those from me. And now you humiliate me.”
Loki winked. “Can’t be showing preferential treatment, pet.”
You looked around exasperated, unable to see through the dense gold mist.
“so you’re just going to leave me like this?” You asked after a long silence.
“I’m debating.” Loki replied after another long silence. He reached over and the cuffs undid themselves, allowing him to put your hands back on your chest, chained together in an X. “Wouldn’t want you getting any ideas now.” Loki winked again.
You sat up, it was more comfortable at least, not stuck on your back or side with your arms behind you. “What are you doing then?”
“You thought that little stint would tire me out? Please.” Loki rolled his eyes. “You’re going to have to work much more to catch up with me, pet. It’s a pity Dot had to leave. She was getting better. Though I imagine if I had both of you, I’d finally get somewhere.”
“I don’t like sharing.” You muttered, pulling your knees up to your chest so you could cover yourself a bit.
Loki pressed down on your knees, forcing yourself to expose your lower half to him, somewhat. “You truly are delightful to look at.”
“Keep this up and you’re going to end up with another bastard.”
Loki frowned. “I could handle that.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“Do you know how many bastards the other generals have running around? They send them off to slave nannies, Asgardian blood after all, but not whole. Mutts really.” Loki shook his head bitterly.
You swallowed hard. “What of the carnage I saw at Yorin’s?”
Loki waved his hand dismissively. “There are far worse fates than Yorin’s. At least you know your death will be soon.”
“The others are worse?” Your eyes widened.
“Asgard has lost her soul.”
“Why are you telling me this?”
Loki looked away. “I told you, I don’t know.”
“You think I can help you save it, don’t you?”
Loki glanced back at you curiously.
“I won’t. This place is built on blood, better to let it burn.”
Loki hummed thoughtfully. “Yes, well until it finds a fire large enough, the war machine continues on. You heard and saw the meeting. I imagine you understood what was happening.”
“Asgard is going after even more realms. There’s very few who would do that.”
“They’re turning their sights on Midgard soon.”
“Midgard?”
“They have a curious amount of skilled and gifted individuals.”
“So what?”
“It will be a long bloody battle. Your people will be used as fodder, among other people. I will be forced to be their tactician. Do you know what they’ll have me do?”
You shook your head. You couldn’t imagine anything at this point. Your ears rang with the screams of your people, nose filled with the scent of their blood.
“I imagine we’ll slaughter a battalion of slaves in front of our enemies. That will break our slaves’ spirits as well as our enemies. It will show how much power we have that we can dismiss such a group, and the cruelty they should expect if they resist.”
“That’s horrible…” You whispered.
“Indeed. I didn’t come up with it.”
“So what are you proposing?”
“Asgard is my home. I will not let it fall. But I’m tired. Tired of this bloodshed. The realms should be free to do as they please. We may step in from time to time if an outer force is attacked, but this?” Loki shook his head. “I can summon suits of armor, command them to attack, and yet…”
“Huh?”
“There is a taint in the air. As if some curse has befallen the land. I had hoped that by uninhibiting your magic you might be able to sense where it is coming from.”
You blinked, thinking hard. “I suspect Yorin, if ever there were such a blight.”
Loki nodded. “Does your personal hatred for him overshadow your wisdom?”
You shook your head. “There’s something about him, something wrong. Does your personal cowardice prevent you from seeing it?”
Loki’s eyes flashed. “Survivor? Yes. Coward? No. You are a sorceress, you of all people should know in battle cheaters win, survivors win by any means necessary.”
“And yet your people defeated mine.”
“You think a magic force so powerful wasn’t battled by a sorcerer equally as powerful? Love, ancient runes can do all sorts of wonders in inhibiting magic.”
“The cuffs.”
He nodded. “My design.”
“They work on you?”
“Heavens no. The magic I do is different than yours, and I would never allow such a weakness to be known.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Did you not just tell me?”
“I told you such a thing exists, not where it is or how to use it.”
“So now what?”
“Well, for one, I like you. And for two, if there’s anything else that I like, it’s making others uncomfortable. Upsetting the status quo.”
“How do you mean?”
“I think I will use you yet. If you are correct that it is Yorin who is the source of the blight, we must force him to show his hand.”
“Use me?” you asked warily.
“I see how the servants look at you, they are loyal to you as ever. Even those who are not from your kingdom, queendom? Were you ever?”
You scowled. “No, I was never married. I took the throne at a young age and have done my best to be a fair ruler since.”
Loki raised an eyebrow. “Your advisers did not seek to marry you off for alliances?”
“I was not of marrying age for a time, and then when such talks began to occur, I shut them down. When I decided such thoughts might be beneficial to my people, birth a few heirs, your lovely kingdom decided to slaughter everyone.”
Loki nodded thoughtfully.
“You’re not my first.” You muttered, cheeks heated despite yourself.
“Pity. It would have been nice to ruin you for any other.”
You looked at him reproachfully. “I think you have succeeded. If you’d actually let me enjoy myself.”
“Start swimming more, you need to learn to operate with less air.”
You scowled. “Surely your harem of women was enough?”
“I do not take that which does not come willingly.”
“I wasn’t particularly willing.”
“Were you not? You approached me first.”
“You brought me to your chambers! What was I to do?”
“Surprisingly enough, bedrooms aren’t always for intimacy. Well, that kind.”
You blinked at him, stunned. “What did you actually want had I… had I not?”
“Conversation mostly. You can’t get that with the others listening. Look even now.” He gestured to the mist.
“Then just now?”
Loki hummed. “Surely you wanted that as much as I?”
“You didn’t have to be such an ass about it.”
Loki grinned. “I imagine I’ll have you kissing that as well, before too long.”
You glared at him.
Loki crouched there silently, almost companionably.
Finally you asked the burning question that had troubled you for so many weeks. “What, what became of the baby? Of Dot?”
Loki looked away.
Your heart leapt to your throat. “You really are a monster.”
Loki’s hand shot out and grabbed your throat. “I told you not to call me that.”
Your eyes narrowed at him as you choked for air.
He slowly let go. “But if it matters, no, I don’t kill infants. Particularly not one of mine even if it...” Loki sighed.
You rubbed at your throat as best as you could. “You, you didn’t kill it? But Yotman?”
“I’ve always despised that as well. You know they spell it with a Y? Jotunheim…” Loki shook his head irritably.
There was more silence between the two of you.
You broke it this time. “I’m sorry for calling you, that.” You hesitated. “It’s true what happened to Jotunheim though, yes?”
“There are truths in every lie.”
You squinted at him, studying his face.
Loki straightened up and walked over to the edge of the pouf that he might use it as a pillow. He reached for Jot who instinctively wrapped herself around him, even in her sleep. “I miss the warmth of so many.” Loki murmured, staring down at her comatose form.
You got to your knees and waddled towards them, unable to crawl or walk. Reaching Loki’s side, you lay down. He moved his arm around your shoulder hesitantly as you nuzzled your face into his chest. “Your warmth is nice.” You muttered.
Loki looked at you sadly but said nothing.
The mist dissolved moments later.
Jot’s eyes opened, seeing she was curled into Loki. Loki breathed deep even breaths. She looked at you, laying opposite her. Your arms were cuffed in a different way, but you looked tired leaning against him. She silently wondered when he had returned to the pouf but did not dare ask.
For your part, you were exhausted, unsatisfied, and spent. You allowed yourself to drift off.
When you woke, Loki would be gone, and your cuffs once more free.
What ifs Sigyn's stories
Part 15
So many different universes, so many different possibilities. And in some loves Sigyn and their different stories. Pictures and brief information have been written about some of these possibilities.
But what is her full story, we don't know. But we can spin them further in our thoughts ^^
The whole project here serves to show the possibilities and potential that Sigyn would have had within the Marvel Universe. How she could have been reintroduced, her story made new and more exciting. #JusticeForSigyn stands for creating Sigyn content because Marvel doesn't give us any.
Inspired by @fauna-and-mythos @dailylogyn @dank-art @jonquilclegane @sigynoffidelity @sigynthevictorious @thewitchysystem @shenanigans-and-imagines @timeladyjamie @therese-lokidottir @puckwritesstuff @sigynappreciation @sigyn-obsessed @ellecaterina
The name of the victory bringer
Born as a girl, she was already a disappointment to her father Vé (Actually Odin's brother in Norse mythology, here in this story they are not siblings!) and was to be cursed by him as four days after her birth her mother died. Vé forbade that his wife's name and daughter's name should never be spoken. And from then on, the little girl who was actually called Sigyn was only called Lumiel (the shadow daughter).
After 8 years, Vé remarries and presents Lumiel as the daughter of a servant who died and was allowed to stay in the house for goodness sake.
Vé new wife Gefion gave birth to 4 sons and Vè overshadowed his new family with appreciation and love. Only for his daughter he had no love and she didn't even know that he was her father. Since, like all servants, she lived and worked in the house.
Until she was old enough and couldn't stand the cold and humiliation anymore and left the house forever. And this is exactly where her journey begins, which in the end should bring her the title Goddess of Victory.
Fairytale Sigyn (Sigyn inspired the Brothers Grimm) Story by @jonquilclegane
While roaming the roads of Midgard in the 19th century, Loki got tired and thirsty, and stopped by a tavern in Germany. His interest got slightly aroused when he saw two men, approximatively the same height, one with blonde hair, the other with brown hair, but with similar features, long noses, small eyes, thin lips… Brothers, probably. What fascinated the God of Mischief was not the two men’s rather common appearance, but the crowd surrounding them. An old lady, with rather fancy clothes, was finishing telling them a story of a princess falling asleep and being awoken by some charming prince. How very unoriginal! Yet, the two brothers were taking notes, hung on her every word.
This strangely annoyed Loki, as he needed to be the center of attention, at all times.
“I have a story!”, the Jotun said, a malicious smile on his lips.
“Do you, Mein Herr?”, the Blonde brother said, “In this case, we would like to hear it”
The crowd agreed, and Loki sat on the most comfortable chair, ready to start his tale…
“Well”, the God began, “It goes like this…”
Once upon a time, in the dwarven kingdom, there was a Princess so beautiful and so sweet even the hardest, gruffest men could not help but love her. Her name was Sigyn. Her father, Iwaldi, was the brother of the King, Eitri, and her mother was Freya, the Goddess of Beauty. Many princes and noblemen asked for her hand, but her mother refused them all, as none were good enough for her daughter.
One day, though, Eitri’s wife died, leaving him without an heir. His subjects all wondered what pained him the most: the death of his spouse or the fact he did not have a son. For weeks, the king was quite depressed, but eventually he came out of his grief. His queen had made him promise he would find another woman, one more beautiful and more accomplished than she was. Did such treasure even exist? His messengers travelled through the Nine realms, looking for their master’s new bride. They came back with paintings of numerous ladies and princesses, from Alfheim, Asgard, Midgard and even Muspelheim, but none seemed to satisfy the king. Freya, however, seemed discontented by her brother-in-law’s quest. With the Queen’s death, she was now the most important lady in the Dwarven realm. She had acquired much more power in Nidavellir than she ever had, and she was not keen on the idea to relinquish it. She could not marry Eitri herself, as Iwaldi still lived. If only she could find some white goose, pure and naïve, that might become her puppet?
Freya smiled as she looked at her daughter. Yes, Sigyn would have to do.
Eitri at first was reluctant to marry his own niece: incest was such a Vanir thing to do, but when he saw the princess, he became hopelessly smitten, and decided she had to become his queen.
Sigyn was sickened at the mere thought of marrying her uncle. She had to find a way to escape before the wedding. However, her mother nagged, and nagged, and nagged, so much that she had to obey her every word.
Seeing Eitri so enamored, Freya demanded from Sigyn she would ask her uncle to grant her any fanciful whims that might cross her mind. The dwarf king was so taken with his niece that he conceded to anything she might ask.
Dresses color of the Sun? Not a problem! Jewels made from his most precious mines? Why of course! Weapons he had forged himself? Well, as his queen, it was only natural …
Sigyn was tired of all of it. The wedding was getting closer, and she did not want it. Yes, of course, his gifts were more than generous… but at a price she refused to pay.
She thought of a way to anger the king, so he would lose interest, and found one, though she felt extremely guilty.
Eitri had this dragon, a gigantic beast, terrifying, man-eating, fire-breathing, “dragons do not sow”, that kept a cave full of his gold.
So she asked for his skin, firmly certain the king would refuse and finally realize she was just some capricious little girl, unworthy of him.
However, the same night, Eitri’s men came to her room, bringing her the dragon’s skin.
He would never let her go… Time to run!
She turned the dragon’s skin into a disguise, making herself unrecognizable. From a princess of two realms, she was now a peasant girl no one would notice. She could not stay in Nidavellir, of course, or go to Vanaheim, as her mother would force her to marry her uncle.
Asgard seemed like the best place to hide. So many people, of all origins, wandered the land of heroes. A sloven like her would not catch the eye of a prince, but she could still have a quiet life, free from her family.
And so, Sigyn started working in a farm, drawing water from the well, cleaning up the stables, under the insults and the despise of the commonfolk. It was not nice, but better than being married to her uncle, she decided.
She lived in a small shed, deep in the forest, which gave her some well-earned privacy. From time to time, she would get out of her disguise and wear one of the many dresses Eitri had given to her, admiring her real appearance in her mirror. Ah, to be herself again! How wonderful! Would she ever been allowed to walk proudly in the sun, as the princess she was born to be? Well, maybe not… But at least, this poor life was incest-free… So that was something to be thankful for.
One morning, as she had not yet dressed into her magical dragon skin, she heard a noise coming from outside. Maybe some beast?
Forgetting her disguise, Sigyn took one of her axes and adventured herself carefully on her threshold. She saw no animal, but a young man, leaning against a tree, watching her with interest.
“I was told a witch was living in this forest, not a beautiful princess”, he mused to himself, with a smile.
Sigyn felt herself blushing at his words, but did not let go of her weapon. Sometimes, monsters took a beautiful appearance to charm you, before devouring you, and looking at her visitor, the princess was not sure what his intentions were.
“I am Loki Odinson, Prince of Asgard, my Lady”, he greeted her, leaving a kiss on her hand, “May I ask for your name?”
Sigyn hesitated a moment. A prince! A very handsome prince, charming and gentle, coming to her door, just like in the tales! If they were in such stories, Prince Loki would fall in love with her, marry her, save her from this unspeakable fate, and they would live happily ever after.
However, this was not a tale, but the real world.
So she fled from the scene, turning herself into a sparrow. It was quite a surprise to her when her prince mirrored her spell, becoming a hawk, ready to swoop down on its prey. But Sigyn was smart and quick. She found a way to escape, and hid in the lowest trees. It was her forest, after all, she knew it by now, while the prince did not, the tick branches protecting her from him.
She could not go back to her shed, so she kept on travelling. A spell had allowed her to take back all her things, including her dresses and dragon skin, however, she had lost one of her rings, and missed it. She also thought more and more of her handsome prince, and how wonderful it would have been to be betrothed to him instead of her uncle.
Yet, this was not to be.
Or was it?
As she reached a new village, she heard some interesting news. Prince Loki had decreed that he would marry the woman whose finger would fit the ring he had found… Her ring! From what she had heard, Thor was the most popular prince and every girl in the Golden realm wanted to marry him. However, many ladies would not refuse a title of princess, and being married to Loki would allow them to be closer to Thor and see him every day.
How shameless! Her prince surely deserved better than those slatterns! He deserved true love, he deserved someone who would truly love him, care for him, be devoted to him… and not to his brother.
Would her prince protect her against her mother and uncle, if she became his bride? Sigyn’s heart was torn and shattered with doubt. She was terrified he would betray her, that it was all a trap to give her back to Eitri…
Still, if she kept on hiding, would she truly ever live? She had to take a risk… after all, her prince was worth it.
She knew no other maiden could wear her ring as it was magical. So she presented herself to King Odin’s palace, wearing her dragon skin, everyone disgusted with her appearance, ready to shoo her away from the throne room.
However, the moment Loki saw her, he smiled, knelt in front of her, while the courtiers gasped in shock and horror. When he slid the ring to her finger, some fainted, other screamed in protestation.
So, Sigyn let down her dragon skin, revealing her brightest, shiniest dress, color of the sun, with green embroideries. Loki smiled at his bride, before introducing her to his parents, and just like in the tales, they both lived happily ever after, Freya and Eitri eventually accepting the match, as one of their sons would become King of Nidavellir.
Loki stopped, and looked at his audience. Some seemed mesmerized by his story, others not all. One man, a giant the size of Thor snickered, and spat, very rudely: “Loki? Sigyn? Freya? Those are forgotten gods from the old days! There are no gods in fairytales, Dummkopf!”
“Yes”, the old lady who had been telling the Sleeping princess story continued, “Also, I know that tale! It’s not a dragon skin! It’s supposed to be a donkey skin!”
“Meh”, Loki sighed, “A dragon skin is much more interesting. And it was a dragon skin in the original story”
“Lies!”, the crowd chanted, while throwing goblets and glasses at the storyteller’s face, so much that he eventually decided to leave the tavern, his beautiful coat now soiled with beer and various kinds of cheap alcohols.
Those Midgardians used to be so much more welcoming, adoring the stories, made-up or not, he told them.
Was this story true?
Well, dear reader, it is up to you to decide.
The woman in the shadow Story by @jonquilclegane
Vanaheim had fallen. King Njord had been executed, and the rest of the royal family sold as slaves. Odin could have used Feyr in his armies, as a soldier, but he was not sure he could trust the son of a traitor with a sword, so he made him work in his farms, his feet and hands deep in the mud and manure. Freya could have become a servant in the palace, but once again, the AllFather did not trust her enough, so he had sold her to some lowly brothel, far from court.
And so, the glorious royal Vanir family lost its power … but not its pride, or its magic. King Njord had cursed Odin before dying, and all his descendants over seven generations. Until now, it did not seem to work, but Sigyn, after seeing her uncle being beaten by some soldiers, as if he was some slave and not the son of a king, decided she had enough.
Enough with the misery, the insults, the humiliation, while Odin sat on his throne, looking at the Vanirs as if they were some puny ants. They were not. They might look weak, but their revenge would swallow him and his House down.
She just needed the right spell to make her grandfather’s curse work. She soon found it: dark blood magic, but it was worth the risk. She would pay any price for Odin to die in the worst agony, after seeing all his children share the same fate. She would be the revenge in the shadows, enjoying their downfall, hoping her grandfather would take pleasure in it too, wherever he was.
It started with Hod. He was a brilliant warrior and Odin could not stop gloating about his archery. However, a terrible accident happened… and the archer lost his sight. How tragic! All of a sudden, he became bitter and enraged. His brother Baldur, one of Odin’s favorites, was betrothed to the beautiful Nanna, whom Hod had loved and craved after for centuries. Hod was blinded by his jealousy so much that he eventually killed Baldur.
Sigyn smiled. Odin cried.
This was going splendidly.
Hermod tried asking the Goddess of Death for his brother’s soul, but it was in vain. He too died on his way back to Asgard. A very foolish fight with a passer-by that could have been easily avoided… but the curse was merciless with Odin’s blood.
Thor was next, but his end was sweeter than most. He fell in love with a mortal from Midgard, Jane, and was exiled by Odin, becoming mortal to live with rest of his days with his beloved. Odin was enraged after losing one of his best warriors.
Vali and Vidur started becoming delusional, losing their minds, crying ‘witches’ and ‘curses’ all around Asgard. The few courtiers who had witnessed Njord’s execution remembered his last words, but said nothing. Odin’s two last sons would not have listened anyway. As far as they were concerned, this had to be the work of the Jotuns, and of their new king, Loki. So they went to the Frozen realm, cries of war following them. However, they were promptly crushed by the enemy, Loki avenging the two brothers he had lost, sending Odin the dismembered corpses of his two sons.
Odin could not move anymore. He was struck by grief, unable to speak, let alone scream. He only longed for the sweet relief of death.
Sigyn granted it to him, slitting his throat, before sending his head as a gift to King Loki.
Her grandfather was now avenged, she could come out of the shadow, and reclaim Vanaheim as her birthright, with the help of her Jotun allies.
Childhood friends who grow up together, until everything changes when one of them notices his feelings. What seemed to be torture, something simply uncomfortable, becomes unshakeable love.
The florist Story by @jonquilclegane
Sigyn was a pretty peasant girl with flowers in her hair
She loved flowers so much she woke at dawn to collect them
And sell them on the market place during the day.
She did not expect much from life, expect to enjoy her flowers:
Their beauty, their sweet perfume, their delicacy.
One day, she met a prince. Handsome, charming, fascinating.
Even more captivating than her flowers.
Instead of spending her days admiring her roses, and lilies, and carnations
She devoted all of her time to her handsome beloved
He took her to his palace, where all the flowers were tamed captive
The King did not welcome her, as she was a commoner, not a princess
He found her unworthy of his son, a simple homely peasant girl
And accused her of distracting him from his glorious purpose.
One day, at dawn, Sigyn received a lovely bouquet
Of roses, lilies, carnations, violets, and daisies.
She smiled happily, thinking this gift came from her lover
Yet, once she smelled their sweet perfume, she fell ill
Her Prince travelled the Nine realms, in search of a cure
He finally found a rare flower that restored her health
The King was enraged, as he was the one who had poisoned her
So the Prince and his beloved flew from the palace, never to return
And lived the rest of their days, happy and free, surrounded by flowers.
Déjà vu by cascadesfiction
Nightmares and dreams haunt her, drenched in sadness and longing. She lies awake, wide awake, and she thinks of her husband. She misses him terribly, missing every minute of each day that passes without him by her side. Every night when she closes her eyes and lets herself fall into slumber, his name is the first one that comes to mind. The dead cannot be brought back to life. But perhaps, someday, she'll find the strength to forgive him for abandoning her, forsaking the gods for her. Perhaps, sometime tomorrow or the day after that, the gods will be merciful enough to make his promise come true.
"I'll wait for you," she whispers. "And find you, where ever you are, even if it was another universe,
even if it were another lifetime..." She smiles sadly to herself in her bed, "...you will always be my love." She waits for him day and night, every moment she sleeps is torture. Her heart aches. Her blood boils. She wants nothing more than for them both to return together. The worst part about living every day alone is that the emptiness is always there, waiting for him, craving his touch.
If love was easy, you were already my wife Story by @jonquilclegane
King Loki was old, yes, but he was not a fool. Karnilla had told him of his terrible fate, of the excruciating punishment that was waiting for him, in all the timelines. She also said that he could not escape it, or he would have to face even worse consequences.
Worse consequences? What could be worse than being chained to a rock, while a snake dripped venom on your face?
No, no, no, no, no! He had to do everything he could to avoid it!
Some wise person might have told him to ditch the plots and intrigues and become some irreproachable citizen. It had worked for Odin, after all. He could marry some Vanir princess, have her bear him two sons, and play the enlightened monarch, everyone suddenly forgetting the faults of his past. Yet, some terror came over Loki’s brain at the thought. The moment he showed an inch of weakness, they would come for his head, wouldn’t they? Yes, they would. They would free Thor and reinstate him and Odin’s line on the throne of Asgard.
And then, Karnilla’s prophecy would become true. He would have to endure such abominable torment, while his “devoted lady” the only one by his side, failing to help him. Useless women, in truth!
He did not need her, if it was to have his face running with poison at some point.
He wondered who she was. He never had anyone “devoted” to him before. Sif had loved Thor. As for Amora… No, not devoted at all. She would leave him to his fate and laugh at him. Maybe it was the Vanir princess he had just thought about marrying… Did Freya have any daughter to marry? Or maybe she could be a daughter of his – whether he had her with one of his mistresses or a potential wife in the future.
Whoever she was, it seemed she was a common feature in this nightmare. Loki paused a moment, smiling to himself. Karnilla had said she was always with him for his punishment…
Well, if he removed the devoted lady, surely, the whole scene would disappear too. If the snake and the rock kept on waiting for him, the lady in question was of flesh and blood – she could very easily cease to exist. And when she did, so would the rest, and he would be free of the whole thing.
Easy, truly! And at such a small cost. He did not need devotion or love. He needed power and obedient subjects.
So, with a spell, he conjured Karnilla’s vision and focused on the hooded form sitting next to him, holding the bowl over his head. Was she so ugly that she hid her face from him? Oh well, it did not matter. Even if she had been the true essence of beauty, she still would have to go. Under no circumstances would he have endured that punishment. Not even for the most beautiful, devoted lady in the Nine realms.
And so, King Loki obliterated the lady from all existence, from all the timelines. He would never meet her, as she would never exist, but if that meant he escaped the rock and the snake, then, good riddance!
King Loki did escape his punishment, as Thor was freed and killed him. However, in other timelines, other Lokis were not so lucky.
With no devoted lady to hold the bowl, they had to endure the poison, all alone, no one caring for them, no one taking pity on them, no one loving them.
In their dreams, there was a lady, beautiful, kind, with a gentle heart and a soft voice. She would jump into their arms, answer the passion in their kiss with all the love in the Nine realms, and shield them from the venom.
Loki did not understand why he could not find her. If she was in his dreams, then, she had to exist… Why was she out of his reach?
Only King Loki could have answered that… By trying to escape his fate, he had erased his wife and his true and only love from the timelines… And now, Loki was all alone…
So I have been trying to read the paper on the destruction of Asgard for days now, and I was hoping to get some input/theories on it. I first wanted to read it because I was curious if Loki actually knew the Hulk was involved in Ragnarok in some way after using him in his salad example (or if he just simply was thinking about getting back at Hulk for what happened in Avengers lol). But the whole thing ended up being more interesting than I thought it would be, and I wanted to share my thoughts and hear from anyone else who would like to share their own.
After much zooming and squinting, here is what it says (anything in [brackets] is my best guess based on font, word length, and sentence structure):
EVENT INQUIRY DESTRUCTION OF ASGARD EVENT DETAILS
Event Analysis: Ragnarok (Class Seven Apocalypse): Total planetary body deletion of (1) Asgard (file: IPB-ASG-001)
Casualties: 9,719 (Entire Civilization Annihilation) (file: IPB-ASG-010)
Cause of Displacement: Codename: Revengers (IPB-SAK-324) (see case file: IPB-ASG-012) see case files: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, IPB-ASG-157, IPB-ASG-892
Event Summary: Full event analysis may be requested. Please see IPB-[TVA-452?]. IPB-ASG-001 fell 000:000:002:162 off [schedule in?] an attack by IPB-ASG-012. IPB-ASG-012 was one of four (4) [possibilities?] for the event [IPB-ASG-893?]. These alternatives can be found on Page 7 of the IPB-ASG-895. Cause of displacement of the event was due to IPB-SAK-324 (see: Revengers), but with the completion of the event, the time variance displacement has been [deemed?] inconsequential by IPB-TVA-001. IPB-ASG-012 of IPB-NIL-001's destruction of IPB-ASG-001 has been deemed in totality. IPB-ASG-895 will be the final file of the IPB-ASG sequence. (Further case files can be found in IPB-ASG-895)
(This gets very long... I’m sorry. XD)
First thing I want to touch on is all the dang CODES in this freaking thing, lol. Here is a (possible) full list of all of them:
IPB-ARK-001 IPB-ASG-001 IPB-ASG-004 IPB-ASG-005 IPB-ASG-010 IPB-ASG-012 IPB-ASG-157 IPB-ASG-892 [IPB-ASG-893?] IPB-ASG-895 IPB-NIL-001 IPB-SAK-324 IPB-TVA-001 [IPB-TVA-452?]
There are two we know for certain what they stand for:
IPB-ASG-001 = Asgard IPB-SAK-324 = Revengers
These are explicitly stated in the document. Knowing this, ASG seems to stand for “Asgard” and SAK would be “Sakaar”, which is where the Revengers were first formed. The other code letters used are ARK, NIL, and TVA. The last one is pretty obvious, and one could guess from context that ARK is likely referring to the Statesmen ship the Asgardians escaped on as it would be likened to an ark taking them to a new home and the fact that the letters have nothing to do with Tønsberg, Norway or New Asgard:
All other files regarding the further events of the people of IPB-ASG-001 can be found in IPB-ARK-001 and onwards.
Another possibility is it standing for “after Ragnarok”, but as ASG was referring to a physical place and not a time, it seems unlikely.
That would leave NIL. Let’s look at the context:
IPB-ASG-012 of IPB-NIL-001's destruction of IPB-ASG-001 has been deemed in totality.
IPB-NIL-001 seems to be another planet, one that IPB-ASG-012 is coming from. But this struck me as strange. The above sentence is talking about who is responsible for destroying Asgard, but the being in question has an ASG designation. Surtur is from Muspelheim, which not only doesn’t match the ASG code but doesn’t match NIL either. You could argue that Loki - who summoned Surtur - would fit ASG, but NIL doesn’t work for Jotunheim either.
Hela - who had long been banished to Niflheim - would, however, be a match on both counts. And to further bolster this theory, look at this line:
Cause of Displacement: Codename: Revengers (IPB-SAK-324) (see case file: IPB-ASG-012)
The Revengers formed because Thor and Valkyrie wanted revenge against Hela, so it would make sense that to get further backstory on the Revengers, you should go look up Hela’s case file. So by this logic, this document is listing Hela as the one who destroyed Asgard, not Surtur or Loki.
I find this very interesting. I was under the assumption that Thor, Loki, etc got all of the remaining survivors out, but the death total of 9,719 made me wonder if that wasn’t the case. However if these are deaths caused by Hela, it could be that she killed over 9,000 people before Loki summoned Surtur to destroy the planet, so my initial assumption could still be true.
As for other unknown codes, IPB-ASG-010 could be referring to either the population of Asgard as a whole or the prophecy of Ragnarok based on these lines:
Casualties: 9,719 (Entire Civilization Annihilation) (file: IPB-ASG-010)
Event Causes: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, IPB-ASG-010
The first use seems to lean towards the population but the second leans more towards the prophecy.
IPB-ASG-895 seems to point to Ragnarok in general as it’s own file as it is the last of the Asgardian files:
IPB-ASG-895 will be the final file of the IPB-ASG sequence.
And on top of that, the file we can read - pertaining specifically to the Hela side of the destruction - says to look through IPB-ASG-895 for further details:
(Further case files can be found in IPB-ASG-895)
And IPB-TVA-001 is pretty obviously either the Timekeepers or the TVA in general. So knowing/guessing all we do of the codes, let’s insert them into the file:
EVENT INQUIRY DESTRUCTION OF ASGARD EVENT DETAILS
Event Analysis: Ragnarok (Class Seven Apocalypse): Total planetary body deletion of (1) Asgard (file: Asgard, planet)
Casualties: 9,719 (Entire Civilization Annihilation) (file: Asgard, prophecy)
Time Status: Displaced by 000:000:002:162
Cause of Displacement: Codename: Revengers (see case file: Hela) see case files: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, IPB-ASG-157, IPB-ASG-892
Event Summary: Full event analysis may be requested. Please see IPB-[TVA-452?]. Asgard fell 000:000:002:162 off [schedule in?] an attack by Hela. Hela was one of four (4) [possibilities?] for the event [IPB-ASG-893?]. These alternatives can be found on Page 7 of the Ragnarok file. Cause of displacement of the event was due to the Revengers, but with the completion of the event, the time variance displacement has been [deemed?] inconsequential by the TVA. Hela of Niflheim's destruction of Asgard has been deemed in totality. Ragnarok will be the final file of the Asgard sequence. All other files regarding the further events of the people of Asgard can be found in the Statesmen files and onwards.
RELATIVE CASE FILES Planetary Body: Asgard, Niflheim Event Causes: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, Asgard, prophecy Displacement Causes: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, IPB-ASG-157, IPB-ASG-892, the Revengers
(Further case files can be found in the Ragnarok file)
---------------
There are still a few file codes we don’t know. I had initially wondered if these codes:
Cause of Displacement: Codename: Revengers (see case file: Hela) see case files: IPB-ASG-004, IPB-ASG-005, IPB-ASG-157, IPB-ASG-892
were meant to be for the members of the Revengers themselves (Thor, Valkyrie, Hulk, and Loki?), but Hulk isn’t Asgardian and therefore shouldn’t have an ASG designation, and Hela is #012, but she was born before Thor and Loki (who might actually have a Jotunheim code rather than an Asgardian code, come to think of it), so it’d be weird if they had lower numbers then she did. I suppose the #004 and #005 could be Odin and Frigga, but other than being Hela’s parents, I don’t see why their files would be listed under the cause of the event and displacement.
Which leads me to what the file is actually saying, which personally I find fascinating! But first off we have to address the elephant in the room:
The “Zero Variance Energy Detected” that is so prominent in close ups is not actually in the document. Obviously this was simply an oversight, and they didn’t want to redo the entire page, so for ease’s sake, we’ll just pretend it’s in there.
So, based on that, it’s easy to see how Loki came to his conclusions about the variant being able to hide in apocalypses as this file directly states that there WAS some amount of time displacement caused by the Revengers during Hela’s attack but that no energy variance was detected. But even more interesting is this line:
Hela was one of four (4) [possibilities?] for the event [IPB-ASG-893?]. These alternatives can be found on Page 7 of the Ragnarok file. Cause of displacement of the event was due to the Revengers, but with the completion of the event, the time variance displacement has been [deemed?] inconsequential by the TVA.
Hela was only one out of four different possibilities to destroy Asgard, so when Mobius says that “it’s more complicated than that” in response to Loki saying that a nexus event is caused by “someone doing something they’re not supposed to do”, he wasn’t kidding! I wonder what the four different possibilities were. Was Surtur considered one? Who else could possibly be in that position to not only cause the destruction of the planet but also have killed all those people? Just how much wiggle room is there in this Sacred Timeline?
And this wasn’t even the 100% “correct” version of events! Remember, the Revengers did something that either brought the event on quicker or caused it to happen later than the Timekeepers planned through their Sacred Timeline. Thor did say that Loki was “late” in showing up, so maybe this is a nod to that line from the film.
Anyway, it is getting quite late, and I have written a lot. I’m not entirely sure it all makes sense anymore, but I have been thinking about this a lot and wanted to put it out there in case anyone else had any differing ideas that made more sense, lol. If you made it this far, have a virtual high five! XD
[I couldn't get the full gif I'll edit when i do]^^
Notice how first Thor confronts Loki, he's angry. "YOU THINK THIS MADNESS WILL END WITH YOUR* RULE!?" Thor then notices Loki, notices Loki's face change as he looks around them. And Thor's gaze softens. He stops fighting/ restraining Loki. "It's too late!" 'Oh', Thor thinks, looking at Loki's face. He observes. 'Loki is scared.' His baby brother, whom he swore to protect (in Thor1), is scared. I don't think Thor bothers with 'who scared him' at that moment, but more to stop Loki from being scared. Like in the vault scene as said in THIS post by @ellena-asg (which i think it's kinda the same situation here) I see this as Thor giving reassurance to Loki: "No, we can. Together!" He has a tiny smile on his face too. Together they will stop the Chitauri! Loki needn't be scared anymore! (Thor tries to protect his brother by keeping Loki with him.) AND, Thor got through the mind control to Loki. Which was the problem, bc from IW we know that Thanos not only knows what Thor looks like but also how important he is to Loki, (which I think is a very private info) and with The Other mind controlling Loki real-time, it was the best decision to save Thor by pushing him away. Oh, these two, always trying to protect each other. __ *I believe Thor was trying to imply something here, prolly a long lengthy dialogue (idk what to make of the emphasis on "your") But then Loki was scared and Protective Brother Instincts TM were activated in turbo speed. ((If you read this post, I think you'll get a better idea of what I'm trying to say.))
#Thor meta..?#Idk#Avengers 1#Sry if there's any mistake/error I'm not good at english lol#Ehehe#Oh look i posted smth
You meet for the first time (part 1)
Tony:
You were on your way to meet Fury when he sent you a text, asking you to meet him in his office instead. You sighed, what could you have done … again ?! You knocked on the door and once inside, you saw Fury but also the well-known Iron Man. After seeing you, Tony started smiling. You read his body language and sighed … You had to leave and quickly, it felt like you’d been ambushed.
« Director Fury ? »
« Ah ! Come on in Agent l/n. I suppose you already know mister Stark ? »
« Only by reputation » You said, noticing that Tony kept watching you.
« I want you to give him a tour of the base, if, as you said you know of his reputation, you understand his need to be chaperoned »
« No one else is available ? I am not exactly a babysitter for billionaires »
Your only wish was to be in your bed, watching TV and eating Ice-cream. Fury gave you the « Do what I said ! » look. You prevented another sighed, put your best poker-face on before asking Tony to follow you :
« Of course Sir » You answered.
You started walking in silence, only talking when necessary, Tony right next to you :
« So what ? That’s all I get ? The silent treatment ? No introduction ? You already know me but I don’t know a thing about you, that’s quite unfair don’t you think ? »
« Fury had already introduced me and according to the alert I received few days ago, you’ve tried to ‘read’ my file … the confidential one, so … »
« Okay I admit it, I am curious but I keep thinking that ‘agent’ isn’t your name »
« y/n »
« Sorry ? »
« My name is y/n » You repeated « Well, you’ve got your tour, I am off now mister Stark. »
« Call me Tony »
« Not a chance »
« Will see » Smiled Tony.
« Don’t count on it »
Clint :
You were in laboratory, thinking about a new armor for the agents, something more resistant which could possibly heal light wounds. You were trying to draw the prototype on your 3D desk when someone knocked on your door. You were surprised by who it was :
« Agent Barton ?! Is everything okay ? »
« Hum yes » Said Clint, shyly.
« Come in, sit down »
Clint sat down in front of you, he couldn’t explain why, but he felt intimidated. He put his bow on your desk :
« Is there something wrong with it ? »
« Oh no ! » Said Clint quickly « I wanted to know if it was possible to improve it even more, some new options or whatever ! It is perfect but … I have some ideas and I wanted to know if it was possible to … »
« You know, agent Barton … »
« Clint »
« Okay Clint, you know, technically it’s not up to me, I invent and create the first models, but then it’s up to my team to improve everything. I created, I give orders and authorized the alterations, that’s all »
« Yes I know that, but you created it, not with a 3D printer, with your hands, my bow is your baby. You created it just … »
« For you ? I know. Fury asked me to. I spent 3 months on the design. »
« If it’s really a bother I can ask someone else »
« Oh no way ! You’re right. My minions are not going to touch this bow ! Over my dead body ! Thank you for reminding of the energy and time I spent on it » You smiled « I need to finish this first, but come back tomorrow, we’ll see what we can do.
« Thank you ! Thank you so much ! »
« By the way, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. I’ve heard so much about you ! »
« Same. I’m glad to finally meet the person who created all the weapons that saved me ! »
« My pleasure. See you tomorrow then »
« Good ! » Said Clint, his heart pounding in his chest.
Steve :
You were patiently waiting for the quinjet to land. You’d been notified that were a few wounded agents on Captain America’s team. You were quite anxious, you were about to meet Captain America ! The quinjet finally landed and some of the agents went directly to the medical bay after noticing you. You were know to be uncompromising about health and wounds. Everyone knew what you did to Fury. You were a legend. You saw Captain America trying to avoid you. Oh not today Satan !
« Captain ? »
Steve turned and froze when he saw you. He wanted to talk to you but couldn’t utter a word. His thoughts were a mess.
« Examination room … now ! » You ordered, using your ‘doctor’ voice.
« I assure you ma'am that … »
« Captain » You cut « From what I can see despite being a super soldier you need stitches. I only want to help you. So don’t be a child and follow me »
« Yes ma’am » He smiled.
You had such a strong personality and he absolutely loved it ! He loved that you weren’t impressed by him. You both entered your office and asked him to sit down while you got your tools.
« nice to meet by the way, it could have been better but … »
« Indeed. Please don’t move, I’m almost done »
« Already ?! »
« Only the best for Captain America »
« Call me Steve, please »
« Only if you call me y/n »
« Good for me »
« What happened to you ? »
« The building fell, with me inside »
« You know you could have been badly hurt »
« People were in danger »
You finished quickly, you removed your gloves and turned toward Steve, a smile on your lips :
« Done. Be careful for a few hours »
« Thank you. I hope we’ll meet again »
« Well, if buildings keep falling on you that should be arrange. But, I won’t be there next week. I have to follow a team »
« Doctors have missions ?! » He asked, worried about you already.
« Yes, especially with teams of new agents »
« Be careful »
« Don’t worry about me, Fury will have my head if something happened to me »
You asked him not to worry about you… How was he supposed to do that ?!
Thor :
« Why do you exist ?! What are you ?! Answer me !! » You yelled « What’s wrong with you ?! Don’t you like me ?! I don’t want to hut you, I swear ! Just tell me what you are !! »
« My lady ? Is everything all right ? » asked a voice behind you.
You quickly turned around, startled by the interruption. You couldn’t utter a word when you saw who was the intruder ! It was Thor !
« I apologize, did I startled you ? »
« Heu … yeah.Well, it’s a bit awkward »
« What are you working on ? » asked the God.
« Few days ago, a team came back with an unknown artefact. My job is to find out what it is, what’s its use . But this bloody thing doesn’t want to cooperate ! »
« go easy on it » Advised Thor, brushing your hand with his (deliberately).
You felt the blood rushing to your cheeks. Disturbed, you followed Thor’s advice and the artefact went on, triggering a shield. Overjoyed, you flung your arms around Thor’s neck before kissing him on the cheek :
« Thank you ! Thank you, thank you, thank you !!! »
« That’s all you, I did nothing » Smiled Thor, happy to have you in his arms.
Suddenly you understood what you did and took a step back :
« Sorry, I was a little to overjoyed »
« Feel free to do it whenever you want ! » Said Thor, but feeling your discomfort he changed the subject « Can I ask you what is your … ‘job’ ? »
« Oh ! I’m an archeologist. I’m in charge of the artefacts the teams found during their missions. I boss people around »
« So you are essential ? »
« I wouldn’t say that, you don’t need an archeologist when someone wants to destroy your planet »
« Don’t. I think you are wonderful, so is your … activity »
« Thank you, but I need to go. I have to run some tests on that thing. I hope I’ll see you again »
« You will » Promised Thor.
Loki :
A new crisis was threatening the SHIELD, again. One of the agent, apparently had the capacity to change his body, his face but no-one knew, until now. So now, everyone was avoiding him or was insulting him. Which wasn’t good AT ALL ! The agent lost his cool and became a threat. Loki was watching the scene with clenched teeth. He knew what rejection could do to someone. The situation changed when you arrived. You got the agent to calm down. Loki couldn’t hear what you said but he was still impressed nonetheless.
You asked your assistant to take the agent to your office before walking to Loki :
« Well done » He said.
« Not thank to you » You answered coldly, which surprised the God.
« I am Loki, I am from Asg… »
« I know who you are » You cut « I know where you come as I know you could have prevented what happened. Several agent have been severely injured and you just sat and watched. »
Loki kept looking at you with a smile, he loved your fired. There was something about you that was incredibly attractive.
« And you are ? »
« Not interested thank you »
« Really ? You meet a god and have no questions to ask ? »
« Not to a self-centered god, sorry, buy yourself a conscious and maybe I will ask you if being an ass-hole is hereditary, otherwise you’ll be a lost cause »
« I don’t have a perfect family and … »
« Shut it ! Do I look I care ? Let me help you, the answer is no » You said, leaving the god dumbfound.
Who were you ?! Your first-meeting could have been better but Loki wasn’t going to complain. He loved women with some fire in them.
Bucky :
Meeting the winter-soldier in these circumstances was not on your to-do list. Steve and you had been on the run, trying to find Barnes before someone else did. You and Steve were the only people capable to help him. And you did found him, to be more precise,you were pointing your gun at him :
« You are quite difficult to find »
Obviously, no answers from. What were you expecting ? Steve told you that his brain was a mess and that you shouldn’t expect too much from him. The Winter-Soldier was silently studying you, at least that was what you thought. You told Steve through the radio that you found him.
« Good ! Be careful, people heavily armed are coming from the south » Answered Steve.
Suddenly, men broke into the place and started shooting at you and Bucky. You were about to take a bullet when Bucky stood in front of you, shielding you with his metal arm. For once, he was happy to have this arm, just this once. You were in the middle of the fight when Bucky finally spoke :
« What’s your name ? »
« Seriously ? You’re speaking now ?! Like, right now ?! »
You took a quick glance at Bucky and saw that you words had hurt him, pushing back into the « winter-soldier mode ». You were feeling guilty and you didn’t like it a bit ! So, to prevent him from shutting himself even more, you decided to answer :
« y/n, and I come in peace » You said, cracking a joke to break the tension. At least, you hoped it would work.
« Delighted » He said, giving you the smile you only saw on old pictures.
« Same. I don’t want to be heartless or anything but I think we should go … right now ! Steve is waiting for us at the meeting point ! »
« How do you want to go ? We could use the roof but you’ll need to jump and … » Said Bucky, worried.
« Fine for me !! »
« Are you sure that … »
« I’ve been working with Steve long enough to say that jumping from roof to roof is as easy as to do a 42km run ! »
« I see » Smiled Bucky before following you in the stairs.
You were more interesting than he thought, and he absolutely loved it.
If I may add my own small list of FF AU ideas:
-A high school AU partially based on the WEBTOON UnOrdinary where a food soul’s status and popularity is based mainly on their Rarity/Rank and power lore-wise(URs are usually elite-tier, SRs high/upper mid-tier, Rs lower mid/upper low-tier, and Ms are low tier). The few humans that do get into the school are at the lowest of the low. A high/elite tier food soul takes notice of a human who recently transferred
-Angel/Demon AU where a demon food soul tries to lure their angel darling into falling with them(the roles can be reversed depending on the food soul)
-Dystopian Steampunk AU. Food soul contracts can only be bought by the richest of the rich so food souls only see the pristine and progressive city that they live in, unaware of the vast and poverty-stricken underbelly that makes up the rest of the State until they catch a human from below stealing food
-AU partially based off of HorrorTale where a virus spreads amongst the food souls that gives them a near unquenchable hunger for flesh. After wiping out the fallen angel population they turn their eyes towards humans, though they aren’t opposed to cannibalizing amongst themselves(for example Gingerbread and Red Wine ganging up on and eating Steak)
-Gods AU where food souls are descended from mythological gods(such as Red Wine from Dionysus, Udon from Loki, Bonito Rice from Bastet, etc) and they fall in love with a human who worships them/their ancestors OR the food souls fall in love with a god/goddess or the descendant of one that they or their Master Attendant worship
-AU similar to the Gods AU except the food souls are mythical creatures/monsters(like mermaids, Kitsune, vampires, etc) that fall in love with a human OR they fall in love with a mythical creature
-Crossover AU with Skullgirls, where the food souls are specially trained as ASGs(Anti-Skullgirls) with the goal of killing the Skullgirl that arises every seven years and locating and destroying the Skull Heart
-AU where the whole plot of FF is just one big DnD campaign
- AU where everything is the same but Steak’s height also includes the top/tips of his horns
ONE MONTH AFTER EARTHLINGS’ LANDINGS:
CAMPSITE ESTABLISHED.
ASGARDIANS & GUARDIANS ARRIVAL / CAMPSITE EXTENDS:
STUDIES IN PLAY, RECORDING PLANET ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES.
SANDSTORM #2.
CAMPSITE ESTABLISHED:
The mission groups and the rescue team went straight to work, building a protective fence around the area they’ve declared as theirs. Thanks to Tony and Reed, they’ve created (prior to their crash landing) seven pods, leaving the Avengers and Xmen to be split up 3 per pod. These pods included four beds (shared bedroom, bunk bed style), a small bathroom, a kitchen and living room – completely furnished. Of course they’re fairly basic, designed only for a temporary purpose as they build more permanent structures here on Orbulite. The outside of them are dome-shaped and reflective and have solar panels on its sides to help run the electronics inside.
ASGARDIANS & GUARDIANS ARRIVAL / CAMPSITE EXTENDS:
The Asgardians reached their campsite first and received a warm welcome! After all Thor is an Avenger despite the company he keeps ( *coughs* Loki *coughs*). The idea of having more people on the campsite felt overwhelming at first but with the extra help, their settlement extended and Reed got to work on creating a larger pod for the Asgardians. Quill’s arrival was less welcoming. Between the Project New Home (PNH) participants and the Asgardians, opinions of the self-proclaimed Guardians of the Galaxy were low to say the least. Nonetheless, the campsite welcomed the newcomers and managed to squeeze them into their pods, dividing the pods amongst the PNH participants and the Guardians. Below is the current pod situation!
Pod #1: Tony, Bruce, Bucky & Charles
Pod #2: Reed, Matt, Steve & Sharon
Pod #3: Jessica, Elektra & Laura
Pod #4: Susan, Calvin, Thor & Loki
Pod #5: Megan, MJ & Jean
Pod #6: Wanda, Pietro & Yelena
Pod #7: Wade, Peter Q, & Rocket
ORBULITE STUDIES / ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES:
While Tony and Reed focused on the building-aspect of the settlement, others like Bruce and Charles were constantly writing down any observations of the new planet. Desert terrain. Pastel yellow and navy blue skies. Maroon-colored sands and of course the orb-like protective layer around the planet. They didn’t know much about it other than it clearly caused electronic malfunctions and quickly fell off their radar as storms began to be their primary focus. The moment the group experienced their first sandstorm on the planet, shifted some people’s attitudes about making Orbulite home. Not only did the sandstorm destroy one of the buildings the group had been working on but also managed to deposit large piles of sand along the settlement’s fence, trapping them inside.
Of course the sand alone wasn’t the cause for the shift in mind. Unfortunately with the storm, came an unexpected element – superpower outage. From Jean to Pietro, nobody was safe from this unexplainable outage and it received mixed reviews. All in all, no matter what each person’s stance was, it became abundantly clear that this planet might be unoccupied for a reason.
Some would say it was inevitable. Some would say the rest should have expected it. Unlike the first time, the second one the group is experiencing is A LOT worse this time around. While the first sandstorm lasted a total of five hours, our heroes are now in deep – eight hours in hiding, trapped by sand and high winds. The winds are as intense as hurricanes, moving and causing destruction with no mercy. And of course, creating new piles of sand all over, further trapping them in their hideaway pods. The winds managed to have knocked out the solar panels of pods #2, 6, & 7 and all electronics are down as the orb-like layer seems to be having an effect on the storm in play.
Characters are split up, some in their designated pods, some not. With the winds high up to 88 mph, stepping outside is ill-advised. Even if it’s for supplies or to escape to the larger pod that is hosting the citizens of Asgard. Our heroes are powerless in every sense of the word and tensions are high. Will they be able to handle the sandstorm? Or will this further prove how unprepared they are?
Pod #1: Pietro, Yelena, Loki, Laura & Calvin
Pod #2: ABANDONED
Pod #3: Susan, Wade, Rocket, Jessica & Wanda
Pod #4: HEAVILY DAMAGED: Charles, Steve & Reed
Pod #5: Elektra, Tony, Matt, Bruce & Megan
Pod #6: Bucky, Thor, Peter Q, Jean, MJ & Sharon
Pod #7: ABANDONED
OUR FIRST EVENT: THE SECOND SANDSTORM
Welcome to our first event!! We will be creating pod channels for those who are craving some team effort into surviving this crazy storm. Right now our heroes are facing potential pod-damage and short supplies on basic needs like water, food, etc. AND they’re not able to contact others as all electronics are down. They are stuck and have to stick together to ride out the storm!
The event will last for a week so be on the lookout for a plot drop or two! 👀 Prepare yourselves as this storm is far from over! Participation for this event is mandatory! And will end on Thursday, April 7th @ 10 pm est / 9 pm cst.
Adventures of Squirrel Girl - N°2
previously on ASG
Ok. It was absolutely not cool to be stuck in Avengers’ new place.
I already knew the building, because of the party, then the meeting, but still got me pretty shocked when Mr. Stark invited me in. He started talking about how thankful he was because of the time when I saved his ass from Thanos. Everything was too cool. I knew something was coming up. Principally because Stark never admitted that I left for him a pretty beaten up Thanos.
And then, out of nowhere, he put me in this cell. How could him?! I mean, of course, I tried going Squirrel-full-mode but it just didn’t work. And he left me here with the words “stop trying, I’m your only way out”.
But, you see, of course, I tried. EVERY SINGLE DAMN DAY. It just wasn’t enough. And I didn’t even know why I was there.
With the days running out, I stopped caring. Stopped washing my hair, stopped wearing makeup. I stopped wearing even my bra, which I burned, right in front of Stark. I was protesting in all ways I knew. How could that “Iron Man” leave me here for one week and a half now?
Stark came every other day, asking the same question: what are my powers.
The first day I answered like a student “I can control squirrels, and my hair can grow and my teeth get stronger, my whole body gets stronger blah blah blah” but it wasn’t enough for him. Now he rarely comes. He gave me some kind of bells so I can ring when I’m ready to tell him the truth. Which makes no sense since my first answer was the true truth about my powers.
So there was me, sitting in my single bed, eating a chocolate pudding when Loki came in my room. You see, I have no doors, only some technological barrier, totally invisible, which I couldn’t walk out of but Loki could just walk in.
“Hello there!” he said, with a smile on his face.
“OMG Loki” I actually screamed, jumping from the bed trying to hide the fact that I was out of makeup and wearing pajamas and without a bra. And guys, do I have breasts! “What are you doing here?!?”
“Well, I see they gave you a better prison than mine. Clearly, they think you are a threat but not as much as I am” his smile was bigger.
“Okay... but they don't think I'm a threat." I said, making him roll his eyes.
“Ready to go?”
“I can’t get out. I guess that’s the whole point of a prison”
“What is this?” he asked, now close to my drawer, holding my bell.
“When I’m ready to give Stark the real talk, I should press it.”
"Great!" he said at the same time he pressed the bell button.
“WTF”
Loki was no longer Loki — I was in his place. Wait, how am I staring at myself and there's no mirror in here?
"Now come here and let me make you invisible, little squirrel"
Scared, but still faithful to Loki, I got close to him.
"Oh wait. We better get you clean up, right?" and he waved at me, making my whole body change. I was now wearing a beautiful black dress with high heels and could feel the makeup being applied to my face. My hair also fell off my shoulders way much more clean and perfumed. "And now, invisible... Hello Stark!!" he ended up saying that with my voice which was completely weird.
"Hi, Doreen." Stark had that suspicious look on his face and he was wearing a t-shirt that said something about the capitalism.
"Please let me out and we can talk about whatever you want"
"That bell is only to use when you know what powers you have"
Loki-me stared at Stark, probably thinking. "My powers are... similar to Loki's?".
"Is that a question?".
"Maybe... Come here and answer me"
And just 'cause I thought he wouldn't, Tony Stark opened the technological door.
I stared at it for some seconds, stared at Tony actually. Look back at Loki and he smiled at me — Loki was the only one that could see me. Then, I walked through the door.
Loki came right behind me, pushing Stark back and making the spells go way — leaving only my new look.
"Bye-bye, Iron Machine!" Loki said at the same time he pulled me into a portal himself created.
