thor and loki both spent thor 1 trying to be worthy
#thor had a way to validate his worthiness while loki did not#which was atrocious planning on odin's part considering the hammer didn't have the whole 'worthy' curse on it before#which means he handed over a super powerful weapon of mass destruction to one of his sons and didn't do the same for the other#even though they both would've been able to use it before#he couldn't have just told them both to share the responsibility or something?#at what age did odin give thor the hammer because that's a clear bias manifesting itself in the physical form of a hammer#loki literally spent 90% of his time in thor 1 either crying or on the brink of tears#just because odin clearly favoured thor but it wasn't enough for anyone to point it out apparently#or for anyone to do anything about it#isn't there an interview where tom or someone said that thor 1 would've been avoided if someone told loki they loved them?#thor 1 isn't an action/fantasy as the government would have you believe - its a tragedy/fantasy movie#loki is the tragedy#the fantasy part is where thor recklessly starts a war and his punishment is 2 days of enjoying a new culture with his love interest#thor started a war and odin literally gave him a vacation#he didn't even define 'worthy' he just kinda tossed it around and made a salad from it#he basically implies that thor as a mortal is more worthy than loki was as he stood right there next to him#with recently gained knowledge loki now knows why
