thank you for previous explain. It was so long and detailed. I had now another question. About lady's life in Asgard. Sigyn x Loki for me. And Sigyn is not warrior, but typical lady. Can you write something about it?
Honestly if you're looking for an example of that in canon MCU, much of Frigga's character and especially her surroundings as expressed on screen does have quite a few examples.
In fact, we aren't even given the idea she can still fight until she absolutely has to in The Dark World.
And, it's in Dark World (and a little of both Ragnarok [geh] and Endgame if you take both the premise of the Valkyries and the time travel scenes in it seriously) that we are given those examples.
Remember, whether they are fighters themselves or not: if they're Asgardian, they're still raised as a part of that previously mentioned warmongering imperialist society: and that would be (as also told to us in their dialogue about Jane and Sif, and their King Odin's expectations) even more strictly observed by someone like a lady in that kind of royalist/imperialist hierarchy, rather than a warrior.
That is why I say 'much' of Frigga's character and surroundings.. but not all. It's not the fighting you need to look at, though that can help. It's her mannerisms, her rooms (look at TDW including the fight with Malekith), her maids, and more. Frigga is, as Queen and even without the fight or ability itself: the top and more importantly leading example of what to expect of a lady of the royal court: as she should be in that kin of society.
And that's also VERY probably why she doesn't fight in any of THor 2011 on screen: even when Laufey shows up, regardless of her being nearer to the main palace then, than she was in TDW: where she was shown being in a separate side palace at least a few miles away when Algrim/Kurse broke out of the dungeon: all the way up until her life, and Jane's, are in immediate danger after having left that portion of the palace during the attack that Kurse opened the shields to manage.
(Which side note was REEEEALLY questionable at the time with a human housing an infinity stone in tow at the time, but is neither here nor there with other things taken into account... just a very dangerous for Jane choice, given what enemies they did have even without the elves being taken into account.. but eh, it is canon and it does fit the flavors of Asgard's, Odin's, and Frigga's own arrogance and ignorance in regards to Asgard's 'impervious' mindset state, as far as the upper echelons of their society seems to be concerned as portrayed on screen.)
In a way, it's made pretty clear that while Frigga still retains much of her skills as a fighter and mage/witch (Or the daughter of three witches at least as we also now know through canon dialogue:) the things she does and doesn't do, while also comparing that to someone like Brunhilde (aka Valkyrie) and how they were clearly recieved during and well after their term as an active female-only fighting force, the canon makes it pretty clear that unless they do retain that fighter status, women (perhaps including the queen) either do not tend to hold as much sway or dignity in other pursuits outside the household.
In other words and as an canon example.. even as the other ruler on the throne and his adoptive mother; Frigga is easily able to set aside the throne and any responsibility for doing so even in that situation. Regardless of, the fact that; at that point the situation is that Jotunheim had declared war in response to Thor's treasonous invasion, and regardless of being closest to Loki (we know this through the words of every character in the family: Thor says it repeatedly, Odin goads and attempts to guilt trip him with that close relationship too, and Frigga does the same with her own wierdness during her conversation with him in TDW's dungeon cell scene) knowing full well not only what she was asking of Loki, but also what Loki was going through in having just recently discovered that he wasn't only not of the same species: but on top of that was Laufey's biological son AND Jotunheim's only known of prince. Whom, Odin admitted he had taken to 'forge a permanent peace.'
A peace that, probably wouldn't have happened anyway if he and it had been handled just as poorly as well, it was.
Think about that for a little bit; really think about it: and the fact that she did so, while playing the part and claiming she was closest to him and cared about him the most.
That canonically casts some seriously gross and awkward truths into the realm of how their their relationship actually is versus how Frigga and the rest of them tried to paint it. As well as touching her own guilt evasion there too: and is something that both in the first Thor and the second film both: Frigga absolutely side steps taking any responsibility for, as the mother, the mentor, and the lady who raised him with that lie: regardless of their supposed closeness.
And, why that's important? Is because, under that king, husband and society as it goes: she is not just allowed to do that without complaint from any of the above, their society OR the foster-brother that she raised and lied to right next to him: she's allowed to thrive and remain in her position STILL without that question or any apparent explanation of ANY of those nuances or her part in putting him in charge in taht mental and emotional state; well after the fact and into 2013 two years later.
When she refers to that massive erasure of not just who but WHAT he is? Frigga almost always shifts that blame fully onto Odin in her dialogue; and steers as hard as she can away from words reminding the viewer that, she was Odin's wife and partner: through all of that. Instead, it's always 'your father' or 'he' rather than 'we' or 'he and I.'
Which is very blatantly another portion of Loki's response in this same scene when asked 'And am I not your mother..?' because, he's right in every form of the answer.
youtube
It's -possible- that she was being honest about her relationship with Loki, at least later on? But it's -not- very -probable-, or believable at that stage.. and her lack of self awareness and ownership of her part even when alone with him in Thor 2011 (not to mention carrying that on a year later in Dark World) makes that very hard to miss as a thing in truth: especially with the given facts being that this went on for over a thousand years.. and still over all that time she didn't have enough regard, respect, or love for her supposed favorite son, to even hint at any of his origins even after she taught him to shapeshift or cast illusions herself, to change the outcome.
And again.. no one raised a question as to why. Or held her accountable. No one questioned the one person in the royal family who was capable of taking Loki's place on the throne back in 2011 either.
Given how little we see women in honored fighting positions in Asgardian culture, and are given the very blatant information between the films that it's been literal centuries since even since a female fighting force has been a thing, PLUS the literal views we've been given with Sif as the only woman in the training yard in modern eras...?
It's pretty likely that raised-in bit of social ugly is pretty well dug into their society as well.
Again and that said: figuring out how a lady rather than a fighter might run her life, or fit in at those upper tiers without picking up a weapon: has been put on some display.
Asgard has a very wonky, heavy half ren/medieval approach to their upper heirarchy on display, complete with ladies in waiting (which Tony takes a little off jab at in GROUNDED too lol,) and healers especially seeming to be a majorly female profession.
There wasn't a single dude in that scene with Jane that wasn't either royalty or a guard, if you look at it again. Every single one of the healers is a woman.)
That mentioned, another place to look for examples, are again: Frigga's personal surroundings. And Dark World gives us a good look at those.
One thing to note, is that besides the healers: pretty much every Asgardian lady has armor in some portion of their wardrobe. Whether that's a breastplate, vanbraces (wrist/forearm,) gorgets (neck guard, like Loki's) or something else to accompany their dresses.
Vanbraces (Thor 2011)
Vanbraces and Archer's breastplate (Dark World Dungeon Scene)
Vanbraces, Pauldron, and partial Chestplate (Dark World, final scene)
There are moments when we see her and them without armor pieces (or in some scenes with even fewer of them at least, like teh carefully disguised set in the top gif) but for the most part those outfits are reserved for really important parties that are the equivalent of formal-dress parties: in which case we can see that even Sif doesn't escape from the expectation of wearing a literal dress: though even then.. hers is the odd one out of the others shown/on display in the room as far as style:
Which tells us a couple of things, but first and foremost and something that makes sense in their culture: is that even if they're not mainline fighters, and having been invaded enough to need and upkeep those shields in the first place?
Other than fancy events/celebrations and or coronations? The armor pieces are definitely as much local every day cultural fashion thing, as they are functional in some cases.
It's pretty likely that even the ladies of the court at least know and are expected to upkeep at least minor skills in self defense, if not the defense of their own homes: and are probably taught to do so from a very young age. They're not going to be as good at it outside of their own personal territory, or a territory they know well like say the Valkyrie were supposed to be, as the equivalent of a special forces military task unit: but they probably are expected.
Another side note..? This above, is ultimately; also among the forgiving reasons I don't question why Frigga went to the main palace outside of her taking Jane with her when she went. As Queen and lady of the house under that form of society, it absolutely passes without Jane in tow. However.. without Jane in tow, there's also the bit she couldn't have known at the time; that the writers did of course .. the fact that any of the elves were even alive and kicking. [And gee; thanks for that again Bor, lol! like father like son, I guess? Bor, his son, and said son's wife DO seem to have a habit of -not- telling their kids about world and universe ending enemies being alive after the fact, don't they? coughcoughHELAcoughcough.. XD]
There is one other bit, besides that: that we do get about the society from all that too though. At least about the surviving upper echelons of the ruling class: and that is?
That Odin had a really tight reign on the upper royals and his fighting forces surviving the Great Wars as King.. lips and all: unless amongst the entirety of their armies, council, other generals (besides Hela, which HOO is that a whole conversation unto itself Loki and Laufey related when you look at that timeline with Hela in it omg..) and pretty much every lady in waiting, servants .. or just other lords and ladies? Just didn't notice a surprise baby that the Queen -didn't- give birth to, was randomly being presented as a new baby prince to the Asgardian Empire. Which.. is next to impossible; especially when you take into account that this wasn't another country he took this kid from, or a society unfamiliar with magic: he took Loki from an entirely differing species and PLANET elsewhere in the universe in the middle of the last battle of one of the largest and bloodiest wars in their generation: and forced passing him off as his own.
Even if, he did manage that; maybe sequestering his wife and passing Loki off as a twin or some shizz? Someone if not a whole lot of someones probably knew.. but especially the healer or healers who would have treated any wounds throughout Loki's lifetime.
We could, almost say that they could have presented him as an adopted Asgardian kid.. and maybe he and Frigga did, to some of them on the sly to help keep it under wraps.. but that doesn't fit how their relationship is depicted, shown or talked about prior to or even after the reveal of his species and bloodline at all, either.
And that still wouldn't pass the first time this kid hurt himself, or was injured in battle under the scrutiny of an uninformed healer's ability in that society, with magic and high tech and more very much at their fingertips and in their alliances and enemies too, to be recognized.
Meaning, at least a portion of the populace closest to the crown, and especially those types old enough to have taken part in the last of the Great Wars or tending Loki as he grew and fought and more as a captive prince: were either just as complacent or, shut up by either if not both portions of the crown house really damned fast and really efficiently likely through threat, exile or worse. Keep in mind, the Great Wars and especially that one was still freshly finished, and they made a great show of making sure we knew there would be problems having the future ruler of the enemy they had been killing for an un-foretold length of time next to the crown in how even mention of Jotnar was allowed to form in Asgardian society: through Loki's words, through Thor's reactions and words, through Odin and through Frigga too.
The hate was strong enough even a thousand years plus of Odin's rule with Loki as prince later, that Thor thought it was A-Okay to go ahead and invade the planet and restart that war, against the literal warnings not just from every single person around him before he did it: and not just warned but told outright by his father and the King 'don't you fuckin' dare' well before even that.
That.. is the kind of society and expectations, an Asgardian Lady would have been raised into and led by along with the rest.
All that said, this is getting long; and there are metas rather than canon they come from that I could mention regarding Vanaheim as the most prevalent colony of Asgardians/partial Asgardians too, but.. we don't get a whole lot of them or their off world society other than to know that Odin doesn't care about them NEARLY as much: or at least not enough to even provide them defensive cannons or other defenses that Asgard otherwise VERY clearly has and has had for literal ages as put on display in the Dark World.
Being a woman in that society would probably be a very, well...
Probably, brainwashed to accept a lowered expectation of self worth over all, without the ability to fight on a greater tier than just home and self defense. And those who don't fall into those already asserted social standards would definitely be outliers if not outcasts. We have Loki himself and how Frigga's skills are viewed and worded even by her own family, as example of that.
So.. that's a lot to keep in mind but.. yeah. It is there, and more that; I probably haven't touched or missed while in the process of going on and explaining that.
For Sigyn though, for me: I do have some planned for her but as she doesn't exist in the MCU and adapting her would for me have to take all of that in mind: that is being approached very back burner for late Vestibule 2 (after Mixology) and Vestibule 3 as what ultimately boils down to an OC version of her. In part because I like that character in real life lore, and Skadi's character: and when I do write for them both.. I want to try and convert them to fit into the MCU base in a way that feels right to me.
Which is going to be rough when getting into more detailed versions of stuff like the very brief mentions of Skadi's tale and others I've already done in fics like Simon Says/Bail: given the MCU is twice removed from actual Norse Mythos; being Asgard in the MCU is more loose in being based off of Marvel, which in turn is then just as loose in the comics' basing their characters from that Norse Mythos.
Also, am tired .. is eleven PM lol sorry for not continuing, and getting extra rambly. But will add more pretty pictures to make up for it a lil bit? lol
If you have more questions or want some elaboration on anything, by all means feel free to send me asks just like this one.
I generally try to answer pretty quickly when I see them lol.
#Ladies of Asgard#examples given#it's pretty open#but there are established rules shown and in some rare places told#at least as far as the MCU version is concerned#I am very interested in doing at least two Unis with if not more with Sigyn though#that's always been a plan#Asgard lore#Asgard on screen examples#MCU Asgard#MCU#Lokiverse references#also armor references#blacksmithing study sometimes comes in handy.#editted a bit cause I hate typos#especially overly dumb plabet typos lol

Hehehehehehe here is an idea that has been floating around in my mind:
Loki is king and his queen is Sigyn, they are pretty good friends but Loki feels no real love for her. They only married out of necessity or smth. It turns out sigyn can’t have children so Loki kidnaps a normal midgardian that looks “similar” to sigyn and plans to breed her to have his heirs.
Although Loki feels no real love to Sigyn, he feels bad for it and thus feels bad for the intense attraction he has towards the reader. He explains the situation to her and since Loki is so hot she is fine with him breeding her (not that she’d have a choice lol). This goes on for a week or so until she gets pregnant.
Reader inevitably falls in love with loki despite everything but feels sad for not being able to keep or help raise the baby. Little to her knowledge, however, is the fact that Loki has been falling for her as well. Maybe there can be a scene where the reader has been having some pregnancy blues and breaks down in front of Loki bc he hasn’t been there enough for her; he feels bad and spends the rest of the pregnancy comforting and coddling her.
For the end after the birth, Loki decides to screw the monarchy and end his unhappy marriage with Sigyn and get with the reader instead.
I understand if you don’t want to write this because it’s super lengthy and specific! No worries and have a great night <3
Bloodline (1 of 2)
Rating: R with dark theme! Note: honestly i placed this in two parts and even then i wished it could be longer than a one shot XD only cause its such a heavy plot idea and a lot of ground to cover Lol hope it works for ya though ♥
The sound of pounding boots echoed through the palace halls of Asgard, indicating those in sight to stay out of the way and to not interfere, no matter how important the matter is. Loki’s cape flowed behind him while his helmet rested just above his brow, looking like every inch of power he had while holding the title as king. Yet what could have possibly upset him when he had exactly what he wanted? War? No.
His Wife.
Sigyn has yet again successfully pissed him off and he hated that it wasn’t even her fault. Per-say..
Honestly he would always love her, but his love for her had changed many centuries ago and so for him, unlike for her, he was fond of her as if he had fondness for a close friend. Any piece of affection she tried giving him, he would reciprocate but with an empty heart.
Its gone on for to long and every day he feels like he’s been lying to her, but leaving was not an option. They married for the thrown and Asgard required a queen, for heirs. So they’ve been trying. Trying for no damn reason.
It was clear that she was unable to bear children.
His heart mourned and hardened at the same time, hating he couldn’t provide her, nor his people the bloodline he was required to give. Until the idea sparked in his mind that very moment their latest argument ended.
He would merely find a mortal that resembled his wife and breed her. Their children would look similar as if Sigyn herself bared them and his people would never know the difference.
Mortals were disposable creatures anyway.
Finally reaching his own quarters- his old one anyway until he had to partake in the shared one, he made sure all doors and any openings were sealed with magic. No one would be able to enter or exit unless it would be through him.
his eyes flashed green before he raised his palm and a small mirror appeared before him, but no reflection appeared, just merely darkness.
‘’find me one. One who resembles my goddess, one who is able to bear an heir..’’ he mumbled before the mirror began to shimmer before producing a moving image of a woman who walked the halls of a Midgardian work building of some sort, but that didn’t matter. Loki’s focus was awe stuck at how close in resemblance she was to his wife, and fairly beautiful in her own way. Not bad, for a mortal.
‘’she’ll do.’’ He stated before the mirror grew to his size, stretching to full length before he took a deep breath and stepped through.
‘’fucking let me go!’’
Loki yanked her through the mirror, the mortal stumbling through by his grip strength, still in her short sleep wear- a reminder of where and when he took her, before he released her wrist, the mirror vanishing to prevent escape.
‘’let me intro-‘’
‘’I know exactly who you fucking are, Loki’’ she snapped, the fire in her spirit and eyes already making him like her more and more as she rubbed her wrist. ‘’news flash, you don’t kidnap people in their damn sleep. now return me right-‘’
‘’unfortunately your return will be impossible darling, your assistance is needed here.’’ he sighed, as if he had no choice in the matter as he used his magic to have his armor and cape vanish.
‘’what- I don’t even have any powers.. I’m useless to you-‘’ she stammered, aware of the temperature here and covered herself with her arms.
‘’in battle, yes. But Asgard needs a bloodline continued.’’ He explained, rotating his shoulders and neck as he spoke, his casual state spooking her more as if he was preparing for a fight.
‘’b-bloodline?”
‘’my wife cannot bear children, that has been confirmed. You resemble her likeness almost perfectly, my people will have no question on the child’s features.’’
Her body was shaking as she slowly took steps away from him, Loki not having to advance because the room was secure no matter where she went. ‘’you.. you cant do this- mortals don’t even live that long compared to you-‘’
‘’magic does not make immortality impossible, and will come quite in handy for you as well.’’
The more he spoke, the more her eyes looked on in horror as she breathing picked up, mind racing for excuses. ‘’-so you’ll just fucking show up with a baby??’’
‘’I will merely tell her I found the child and we will adopt. We will keep the information of the child not being blood to ourselves, so he or she shall not feel like they do not truly belong.’’
‘’like what fucking happened to you-‘’ she snapped and so did Loki.
Almost an invisible force had her on her back on the bed, keeping her there. A stream of cuss words began leaving her mouth before he raised his palm again and a silk, green tie wrapped itself to gag her, making her thrash her head to try to free herself while he strolled toward her.
‘’I truly understand your position darling, I really do and I deeply apologize. But aren’t you mortals- or at least those heroes of yours represented the greater good? Helping those who need it or something like that.. think that you will be helping a greater cause.’’ He explained, as if it would help as he got to the edge of the bed but didn’t make a move to free himself yet, to her surprise.
She glared at him, only able to move her head as her muscles tensed, feeling his fingertips move up her legs before gripping her night shorts, his fingers hooking onto her panties as well before pulling them down, causing her to try to fight again.
‘’I know mortals are very delicate things so I don’t wish to break you so soon love. I will do my upmost best to go slow and to make you fit me. Getting you wet would benefit the both of us as well,’’
he explained, his voice gentle as if genuinely trying to care for her and already felt himself hard by the sight of her. Her spirit is what merely attracted him to her first and it was amazing he didn’t take her in her own bed first but here it was much safer for the both of them.
Her legs were shaking, as of the rest of her beautiful body and half of him wanting to say screw the bloodline, but he fought to hard to gain the thrown just to lose it now because his wife wouldn’t get fertile. So with that, he moved forward and laid between her legs, her struggles against his magic doing nothing as he ran his tongue against her cunt.
This made her freeze, her back arch as if her body froze- not knowing what to do. Ignoring her reactions, he focused on his goal as he began to eat her out, his tongue and lips paying close attention to her clit while he now and again tongue fucked her.
She squeezed her eyes shut, her body and mind screaming to different things but she was no match for his skills. He was by far, amazing, and her body thought so to as she held back tears with muffled whimpers, feeling herself get turned on.
Loki held back a slight smirk as he noticed it to but kept going, feeling her legs try to close themselves but he remained between as his hands gently caressed her hips and thighs. When her back began to arch more, he stopped.
This was merely a job, a duty, nothing more. If it was strictly based off pleasure alone, there was a higher chance of either of them getting attached, and a woman’s pleasure was the one thing that Loki loved to give.
Catching her breath, she looked with scared and glassy eyes as Loki crawled up her body and moved his hips between her legs. From her muffled cries, he knew she was pleading but he refused to try to let her stop him, even if seeing her like this made his heart skip slightly.
‘for Asgard’ is what he kept reminding himself and moved his eyes to her chest instead, refusing to look into her eyes any longer as he moved a hand down and freed himself. He’d have to move extremely slow as of to not injure her in the slightest, which is what made foreplay important if she didn’t get pregnant the first time, he’d have to repeat this action.
Her muscles strained against his magical hold, feeling him line up at her entrance and she only struggled more upon guessing how big he was by the mere feeling of his tip. She tried telling herself this all wasn’t real, how the hottest man she ever saw wasn’t the one who attacked New York, her people, who kidnapped her and now attempted to take advantage of her all to create another one of him..
There was no use. His magic was strong and there was no getting out. She could only pray that the child would come out not as cruel as the father as she closed her eyes and tried picturing herself with someone who actually loved her. When she relaxed her muscles, she tried forcing herself to not tense as Loki then began to push himself, inch by inch with a small pause between to try to help her adjust.
She was not a virgin, but he was by far the biggest she had ever seen and had. It hurt, and the foreplay did help, to her slight relief and sadness over the whole thing. She was stretched and the tears allowed themselves to far as her cries came with each time he pushed through. It was almost forever until he stopped moving and she knew he was to his hilt. Baring to look in his eyes, his own were closed while he panted, straining himself from rutting her wild. She hated to admit that despite it all, he was.. beautiful. Caring, even, if this was their first time together and not in a fucked up reality.
Her thoughts were interrupted when he took a deep breath and pulled out to the tip, before slowly moving back in without a pause this time. she gasped, her eyes lifting as her back arched, feeling the stretch again as she took deep breaths. At this point, all she could try to focus on was her breathing while he pulled back and moved forward, slow and steady.
She hated how slowly her body was adjusting to him, how more and more she got slick for him. her own body was betraying her and she wished that it hated him but at the same time, her adjustment was making the pain slowly go away and get replaced with pleasure.
Loki knew her body was adjusting and he began to increase his movement to a faster rhythm, his face contorting to pleasure as his lips parted and his fists gripped the sheets on either side of her. It was strictly a job.. but for a mortal.. she felt.. so.. good… he lost himself- and he fucked her fast, even gripping her leg up against his waist as he panted.
She gripped the sheets, her eyes fluttering as he seemed to stuff her and all she could do was take it. she swore she could almost seem him enlarge her pelvis every time he thrusted into her before it was suddenly- over. Her eyes snapped open as he moaned and felt warm liquid shoot into her cunt in large amounts. His limbs were shaking and he rested his forehead against her chest as he panted, slowing his thrusts to make sure she took all of him before he stilled inside her.
Even she was to exhausted to move- if she could as her limbs shook and felt him soften inside of her but he still made no moves. Not until both their bodies seemed to regulate themselves back to normal before he took a deep breath and slowly slid out of her, feeling his seed slightly trickle down between her legs as he put himself away and stood up. With a slight flash of his eyes, he released his hold on her, tie removed from her mouth as she took careful breaths but made no moves.
Watching her from where he stood, he took a breath and spoke slowly. ‘’I’m sorry little mortal… you will be brought three meals a day and will remain in these quarts. Drapes may be open but my spell prevents any means of escape of any sort. I will be delivering these meals myself and anything you might need. Every day I will fuck you and every day I shall check to see if we have created a child.’’
Through magic, she guessed.
‘’I have my ways of keeping an eye on you so please do not attempt anything stupid. Fight me, and magic will be involved in restraining you. I suggest you rest, I shall return in the morning.’’ He told her, his voice quiet but almost as expressionless as his face as he did not once look in her eyes as she had turned her face to the side to look at him while he had made his way to the door.
It wasn’t until the door was shut was when she then allowed herself to cry.
The past few days carried on like this, how he would show up to deliver meals and leave without a word or a glance at her before he would shortly return to have her stand. Most times he would have to use magic to have her cooperate, keeping her in place as he placed a hand on her tummy with closed eyes and used simple magic to seek out life. With every result coming out negative, he would fuck her.
Never giving her her own pleasure, he told himself he wouldn’t enjoy it either out of the equal rights of them both. Thus, he would fuck, not as so much as touch anywhere else before he would leave her stuffed and alone.
Days became weeks and fear turned to anger, cussing at him and throwing things upon him entering the room and she even tried starving herself. The fear of being under complete mind control by him to force her to comply is what made her cooperate, convincing herself she had at least that in control of herself.
It was pushing a month and that’s when she noticed her period was not on her mental schedule. Fear and relief flooded over her, unsure whether he would let her go if he finally got what he wanted.. it was only a matter of time before he would check her.
Loki came in, not saying a word as he shut the door behind him and strolled towards her before she raised a hand to stop him, causing him to throw an annoyed look but he raised a hand to begin using his magic but he paused.
‘’wait- I’m.. I think I’m..’’ she trailed off, almost afraid to even say the words out loud as his expression changed to almost a.. lightened mood.
‘’well.. we won’t know until we check.’’ He said quietly, the first words he had spoken to her in awhile as he lowered his palm and walked slowly to her. ‘’will you try to strike me today or do you think you can control yourself?’’
She ignored the annoyed feeling by his comment and shook her head. ‘’..i will not strike you.’’ She promised and sat on the bed behind her, resting back on her elbows.
Loki strolled towards her, confident that it wasn’t a lie considering what he was the god of. Standing before her, he leaned down and rested a hand beside her on the bed while the other rested on her stomach while he closed his eyes. Taking a deep breath, he concentrated while she stayed perfectly still.
While he used his magic, she couldn’t help but look at his face- call it her own little routine while his eyes were closed. He was.. beautiful. Cruel and beautiful. Damn him.. damn it all..
what was this feeling.. he was the only one who even gave her attention, as fucked up as it was to admit. She had no friends, no family, no lover.. which is probably why she gave up on being rescued a long time ago. If it wasn’t for his cruel intentions, she could stare of his face a little while longer if only he stayed.
Once Loki opened his eyes, he stayed leaning towards her, not moving as his features seemed to hold a gentleness to them, his eyes soft as well as his eyes. His stare almost made her nervous at the result and she glanced down at her tummy as if something else was wrong as she sat up.
‘’am.. am i-‘’
Loki then leaned forward and pressed his lips against hers, her body freezing from the shocked reaction that overfilled her while he closed his eyes and moaned against her mouth. Before she could even register what was happening, he pulled away and stood with a blank expression once more yet his voice sounded more.. kind.
‘’you are pregnant.’’
Her eyes widened as she looked up at him, a hand immediately resting on her tummy as her lips parted, awe struck as emotions swarmed her, not knowing if she was happy, sad, if she were to cry to rejoice and.. rejoice what? ‘’i.. I am?’’
‘’yes.’’ He said gently and straightened, looking at her with almost an intense expression, she had no choice but to pay attention. ‘’with each meal you will be served, I will be giving you.. think of it as a.. potion. it will help the child grow healthy, for your body to adjust normally and for there to be no pain while you carry an Asgardian.’’ He explained and she slowly nodded, both hands on her tummy now as if she was protecting the child already.
‘’..okay..’’
Loki gave a small nod and turned, walking towards the door before he felt a grip on his cape, causing a brow to raise as he turned to see her eyes darting to the floor, her lip quivering as she slowly released him.
‘’..stay..’’

My attempt to draw Sigyn, or a version of her
Thoughts below the cut:
[poor paraphrasing of Norse Mythology incoming]
Been looking up the Norse myth of Loki and he had two wives - an ice giant who was his secret wife and when Odin found out about her he forbade him from being with her, and a second wife, Sigyn who theres not much on but when he murdered a god and was punished by being burned continuously by a giant snake, she stood over him and caught the venom in a bowl so it wouldn’t burn him but occasionally she had to go and empty it, so it would burn him again. In conclusion, she was a very devoted partner
Anyways I don’t know where they’re heading with the rest of Loki this season, but in my head I’ve decided they’re going to go through all the timelines to defeat that timeline’s version of He Who Remains to hopefully prevent another war
So…what if Loki, Mobius, and co bamf into one of these timelines, are taken captive, and when Loki is brought to the throne room of that timeline’s ruler, bam, it turns out to be Sigyn, his wife in this timeline
Only in this timeline, Loki became a very well-loved king of Asgard with Sigyn as his queen and they had two kids who wouldn’t remember Loki, cuz, gasp, this timeline’s Loki was killed by this timeline’s version of He Who Remains, and they were barely toddlers when it happened (let’s say now they’re fully grown adults)
So I have this reveal scene I can’t get out of my head of Loki, as we know him, and the rest of the gang being brought to the throne room to answer to the person in charge (who are you and why have you attacked my men, etc etc). They’re brought in bound and with hoods over their heads so it’s very dramatic when Loki’s is taken off. Everyone gasps cuz Loki is supposed to be dead in this timeline
This theoretical episode is Sigyn getting to know the Loki we know and Loki getting to know that in one version of himself he had a family and was a beloved ruler of Asgard
Wish I had the patience to write this story so I may just do random drawings if I can muster up the motivation

Chapter Index
Frigga and Astrid were sitting together near a cluster of flowering dogwood trees. The pink and white petals blanketed the stones along the path to where the ladies were seated at a small wrought iron table. An assortment of nuts, cheese, and dates sat on an intricate golden tray. The warm breeze made the petals dance and flutter as the ladies sipped their tea. They had a wonderful conversation until the subject shifted to the wedding.
The Queen set her teacup on the table and asked, “You seem preoccupied, Astrid. Is something the matter?”
“Apologies, Your Majesty. The wedding approaches quickly. I am trying to come to terms with going home without my little girl.”
Frigga placed her hand over Astrid’s and gave it a few little pats. “I understand how difficult that must be.”
“I am happy for my daughter to be getting married and to a prince at that.” She smiled at the queen, “I will miss her terribly. We may not agree on much, but I could always count on seeing her every day. I know I should be grateful for all my years with her.” She sighed, “Why do they have to grow up so fast?”
“It is the cruelty of becoming a mother, I’m afraid. Although eventually, we will be rewarded with grandchildren. Won’t that be wonderful?”
Astrid smiled, “Sigyn has wanted to be a mother for as long as I can remember. She had quite the doll collection. Erik would bring her a new ‘baby’ every time he returned home from a trip, every birthday, anytime she got good marks in school, any opportunity he could.” Her smile fell.
“Then the dolls were eventually replaced with dresses, shoes, and jewelry. We spoiled her, but how could we not?” She shrugged her shoulders, “She is our miracle. My answered prayer.”
“And you believe Loki to be the one who answered your prayer?”
Astrid looked sheepishly at Frigga, “I do not have any other explanation. He remembered my unspoken prayer word for word.”
Frigga took Astrid’s hands in hers, “The golden apples from Idunn’s tree affect each of us differently. Loki can tap into someone’s mind, see their memories and hear their thoughts, but I’ve never seen him heal anyone. Perhaps he heard your prayer because you were holding him? He needs to be touching someone to read their thoughts.”
“Well, yes, I would hold him on my lap, stroke his hair, and hold his chubby little hands as he drifted off to sleep. And I would pray. Over and over, I would pray for another baby of my own. I went to the nursery almost every day that we were here.”
“There is no doubt that Loki heard your mind.” Frigga furrowed her brow and looked off into the distance, pondering. “I will need to do some scrying to see how exactly you were able to conceive.”
She looked at Frigga with wide eyes. “How old was he when you fed him the golden apple?”
“Odin was insistent that the boys got their apples as soon as they had teeth.”
“Oh, goodness. So, they were both babies at the time?”
“Yes, their ceremonies were each quite comical. Thor shrieked after he finished his apple and was not permitted to take another. Loki had just learned to sit up on his own and was more interested in tossing the apple and rolling it around on the dais than eating it.”
“Goodness,” Astrid laughed. “Why so young?”
“As you know, the King is extremely selective. Only those with the strongest elements may receive the gift. He was so proud when the boys were born; he could not wait to bring them into the fold, to start their tutelage. And he wanted them to have the protection of Asgard’s magic as soon as possible.”
“Are you telling me that the King is a big softie? It is hard to picture.”
“That is on purpose,” Frigga smiled. “He must rule with an iron fist, without exception. One whiff of vulnerability and our enemies would pounce. But Odin is a different man behind closed doors. He is gentle, sentimental, and empathetic. Do not let him know I told you that,” she chuckled.
Astrid grinned, “Of course not.”
“He was a good father when he was not being a king. He focused most of his efforts on Thor, obviously; he was the heir to the throne, strong as an ox, and the spitting image of Odin. But he was just as proud of Loki, in his own way.”
Frigga smiled, “We were both shocked when he was born with a head full of black curls and looking almost exactly like my late father. When he started showing a predilection for seiðr, Odin started referring to him as ‘your son.’ So, he had his boy, and I had mine.”
Frigga took a sip from her teacup and set it back down again. “Loki projects an heir of haughty arrogance, but he is a sweet boy under that cool demeanor. He would be the first to throw himself in front of someone he cares about. And I know he cares about Sigyn, not just superficially; he loves that girl.”
“And she him.” Astrid smiled, “She has had a crush on the prince for as long as I can remember. It was always, ‘Prince Loki is so handsome, Mama.’ and ‘Prince Loki can wield seiðr, Mama.’ She would moon over his portrait for hours if I would let her.
“She was such a naughty little thing when she was young. Just picture me trying to raise a proper little lady and her winking and blowing kisses to framed art on the wall!” She clutched her necklace, “Where she even learned such behavior, I could not tell you.”
Frigga held her stomach and laughed, “Oh, that is precious.”
One of Frigga’s ladies approached the table and curtsied, “Excuse me, Your Majesty. The Prince and the Lady Sigyn have just arrived at the garden gate.”
“Ah, very good. Please bring us a fresh pot of tea and two more cups.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.” She curtsied and collected the teapot before she hurried away.
oOXOo
Loki and Sigyn came through the garden gate as one of the Queen’s ladies approached and curtsied. “The Queen and the Lady Anderson are having tea under the dogwood trees, Your Highness.”
Loki nodded, “Thank you.” When they were out of earshot of the maid, he leaned over and whispered in Sigyn’s ear, “I think I will take us there the long way.”
She tightened her grip on his arm, “You will get no complaint from me.”
Loki led her off the stone path to a smaller gravel walkway that wound through an ornate flower bed. “Mother designed this garden herself. She spends most of her free time out here.”
“I can see why. It is stunning.” They followed the meandering path until they came across a small pond. Sigyn stopped to admire some purple irises planted along the water’s edge. “It is very peaceful out here.”
She looked over to Loki and caught him staring at her face with a look that could only be described as adoring. “Oh, Loki.” she stroked his face with her free hand, “I love you so much. When you look at me like that…” she ran her fingertips lightly along his cheekbones, “I feel like my heart could explode right out of my chest.”
Loki touched her neck and stroked her jaw with his thumb. “You are the hidden treasure I never knew I was searching for.”
Tears pricked her eyes. She wrapped her arms around his middle and put her head on his shoulder. He rested his head against hers and stroked her hair.
“I am never going to let you go,” she said through her sniffles. They held each other, swaying in the warm sunlight for several minutes. Each of them not wanting to be the first to let go.
“Riiibbit.” A giant bullfrog croaked as he plopped onto a stone in the pond with a squelch, startling the couple.
“Excuse me. We are trying to have a moment here. Move along.” Loki dismissed the frog with a wave.
“Riiibbit.” The bullfrog responded, staring at Loki.
“Rude!” He glared back at the frog, his lips curling up at the corners. Sigyn giggled. “We will get no more privacy here. Let us go.”
She gave the bullfrog a little wave as Loki led her away.
oOXOo
Frigga heard the pair approach before she could see them. Their heavy footfalls and shouting taunts broke up the peace in the garden. Loki rounded a corner and ran down the path at full speed, Sigyn running a little behind him.
“I won!” he yelled triumphantly at her before stopping to bow to his mother, “Mother.”
“Not fair! I do not know my way around this garden! And I am wearing a dress!” She yelled back, slowing down as she rounded the corner and saw her mother's unmistakable look of displeasure. She quickly walked the last twenty yards to where Loki stood waiting for her.
“You cannot sour my victory with your logic, My Lady. I will still relish your defeat.” He was grinning from ear to ear. He placed his hand on her back as she approached the table.
She tried to catch her breath as she curtsied deeply to the Queen, “Your Majesty.” She gave her mother a peck on the cheek, “Mama.”
Lady Anderson stood and curtsied to the prince, “Your Highness.”
“My Lady.” He helped push her seat back in before sitting Sigyn next to her.
Frigga raised her eyebrows, “Loki, why were you making this poor girl run through the garden?”
“Oh, I was not making her do anything, Mother.” Loki conjured a tall glass of cold water and passed it to Sigyn, “Here you go, sweetling.” She nodded a thank you as she accepted it. “My betrothed wrongly believes that she can outrun me. So, we agreed to a foot race.” He shrugged as he plucked a date from the tray and passed it to Sigyn.
“You did what?!” Lady Anderson moved to the edge of her seat. She leveled Sigyn with a glare. Sigyn dropped her eyes to her lap as she nibbled the date. “How many times must I remind you that you are a Lady, Sigyn.” Her mother said through clenched teeth. “Ladies do not challenge people to foot races! Especially men! Especially in the presence of royalty.”
“Sorry, Mama. We were having a bit of fun.”
Lady Anderson sighed, exasperated, “A bit of fun?” She shook her head in disbelief as she clutched her necklace.
“Honestly, My Lady, I love that Sigyn feels she can challenge me. I love her spirit and her tenacity. I cannot imagine spending the rest of my life with some vapid woman who has trained her whole life to pander to me.” He rubbed Sigyn’s cheek with his knuckle as he smiled at her.
“Yes, of course, you are right, Your Highness,” Lady Anderson replied tightly.
“My case in point.” Loki laced his fingers together and rested his elbows on the arms of the chair as he leaned back.
“Loki, a little more decorum in front of our guest,” the Queen said.
“Apologies, My Lady. I did not mean any offense.” He straightened his posture and reached across the table for her hand.
“Sigyn is fortunate to be betrothed to someone so… accepting of her demeanor.” Lady Anderson placed her hand on Loki’s, and he quickly kissed the back of it. “She has always leaned a little on the boisterous side. I blame her father.”
“Please, I am the lucky one.” Loki passed Sigyn another date.
“Speaking of fortune and luck,” the queen interjected, “I need to clarify something you mentioned at lunch, Sigyn.”
“Yes, Your Majesty.” Sigyn covered her mouth as she chewed.
“You mentioned to me that you felt connected to Loki from an early age. Care to elaborate on that a little more for me, please?”
“Yes,” She cleared her throat, “As I told you the other day at lunch, I have felt drawn to the prince ever since I was tiny.” She smiled at Loki and continued, “One day, his portrait stopped me dead in my tracks. I felt a connection that I cannot explain. I knew, somehow, that I would one day be his wife. And the day we met,” tears pricked her eyes, she shook her head and fought to keep her composure, “the day we met in person…I do not have the words to describe the feeling… a piece of myself that had been missing was returned. I felt complete.” She wiped a tear from her cheek. “I am sorry if that makes no sense. That is the best way that I have to describe it.”
Lady Anderson moved to comfort her daughter, but Loki was already en route to wrapping an arm around her shoulders. He kissed her temple as he dried her cheeks with his thumb. Sigyn looked at him and gave him a sweet smile. Loki took some cheese from the tray and offered it to her. She laughed through her tears, “Thank you, my love,” she whispered as they rested their foreheads together.
“And Loki? Can you tell me more about when you first met Sigyn?” The queen looked pensive.
Loki’s cheeks flushed slightly, “Aside from being completely bowled over by her beauty, grace, and warmth, I would say that my initial reaction was quite… possessive. I felt time come to a screeching halt. My vision blocked out everything but her. All the pain in my body relented briefly. And I knew she was mine and that I would be hers. I tried desperately to deny it. But I knew. Somehow. She was mine. She is mine. She…is…mine.”
Loki looked away from Sigyn to find the other two women staring at him intently. “What? Is that not how everyone falls in love?”
“No.” the Queen said as she went deep in thought. After a moment, she asked, “Sigyn, Astrid, may I have a strand of your hair? Loki, you as well. Root attached, please.” She held out her hand, and Loki, Sigyn, and Lady Anderson each plucked a stand from their scalps and placed it in the queen’s open palm.
Frigga summoned her soapstone smudge bowl to the table and twisted the hairs together. She placed them in the bowl. A heatless yellow flame rose from the bowl as Frigga held her hands over it. She stared into the flame; her eyes took on a yellow glow.
“I see,” she said faintly.
Sigyn reached over and clutched Loki’s arm with both hands. Lady Anderson clutched her necklace with one hand and held her stomach with the other.
Loki scooted to the edge of his seat, “What do you see, Mother?”
“I see the Lady in the nursery. I feel her pain.” Frigga grimaced and clutched her abdomen, not taking her eyes from the flame; she said, “I see the boy toddling over to her with a book.” She smiled briefly before her face shifted. Her eyes widened, “I see the Nornir… they argue… the tapestry… the Lady’s fate… Atropos relents, Lachesis instructs, Clotho weaves… a new pattern emerges… the boy… the girl…”
The flame in her bowl died down. Frigga closed her eyes, “I have been shut out from seeing any further than today.” She took a few deep breaths to center herself. She opened her eyes and took a sip of her tea.
“The Norns intervened on your behalf, Astrid. They heard your prayer, felt your longing, and changed your fate.”
“Oh...” Lady Anderson clutched her heart with both hands, “Oh my stars…”
“They used a small fiber of Loki’s thread to patch what was missing in yours. A small piece of his divine element, his mischief. The piece was so small that it only healed you long enough to conceive Sigyn and carry her to term. It created an irrevocable bond between the two of them as well.”
Frigga looked to Loki, “You see it in her eyes too, do you not?”
“It was one of the first things I noticed about her. It took my breath away.” Loki looked at Sigyn and the unmistakable glint in her eyes. “I had no idea it was part of my own.”
“Excuse me, but I do not understand. How does one see mischief?” Lady Anderson took Sigyn’s chin and looked at her daughter’s face. “All I see are her pretty green eyes.”
“Only the Gods can see the divine elements, My Lady. I am sorry. It is a sight to behold,” Frigga stated.
“I suppose I owe your father an apology, Sigyn. All these years, I believed him to blame for your naughtiness.”
Frigga laughed, “Sigyn is responsible for her own behavior, My Lady. I assure you that her free will has not been tampered with.”
Sigyn blushed and tucked her chin to her shoulder, turning her face away from her mother’s disapproval. “I see.” The Lady picked up her teacup and took a sip.
Loki took Sigyn’s hand and kissed it, “Would you like another snack, my sweet? I could conjure you something else if you like?” he asked her as he noticed that she had finished off the dates.
Sigyn’s eyes lit up and then fell as her mother cleared her throat. “Thank you, Your Highness. But I… should pass. I have my final fitting for my wedding gown tomorrow. I want it to look perfect for you.”
Loki scoffed, “I would not care if you walked down the aisle in a burlap sack. Your happiness is my only concern.” He conjured a small pumpkin muffin and placed it in her hands with a kiss on the forehead.
Heat came to his cheeks as he remembered her nakedness from earlier. The curve of her hips, the fullness of her breasts, the cute little bump of her empty womb that poked out slightly between her hip bones. She was athletic and strong while still having the feminine softness that awoke something feral in him. His eyes dropped from her face to the curve of her breasts at the top of her dress.
“Loki?” Frigga said again as she kicked his boot under the table.
“What? Yes, Mother? Did you say something?” Loki tore his gaze from Sigyn to look at the Queen. He heard Sigyn giggle as she tore off a piece of her muffin.
“I asked if you had decided on the apartment.”
“Oh, yes…” Loki cleared his throat, “Yes, we are taking the corner unit directly south of yours, Mother. We are going to be neighbors.”
“Oh, how wonderful,” Frigga beamed. “I am so pleased for the two of you.”
“Fredrik said he would have our furniture delivered and the changes we want to be completed by the wedding day. Sigyn and her maids can move her clothes to the closet immediately. He even gave her her own set of keys to do so.”
Sigyn reached into the pocket of her dress and pulled out a gold keyring. She jingled them above her head. “I am so excited.” She smiled at her mother, “Would you like to help me organize my things in my new rooms, Mama?”
“I would like that, yes,” she sobbed.
The Queen stood, “That session has drained me, I’m afraid. I need to go lie down before dinner.” Frigga signaled to her ladies.
Everyone bowed and curtsied after she stood. “Are you all right, Mother? Would you like me to escort you back to your chambers?”
“No, I am fine. I just need a little rest.” She waved as she started down the path. “I will see everyone at dinner.”
Loki escorted the ladies back to their chambers, reluctantly bid Sigyn farewell, and then made his way to the training grounds.

"But it is true, you're everything I could ever want." LokixSigyn
"I am now King of Asgard," Loki said, proudly. "Making you, in turn, its Queen."
Sigyn stared, the shock of the statement and confusion after overpowering her ability to speak.
"My love, are you well?" he asked, stepping forward as if to catch her.
She shook her head. "Yes. Yes, I'm well. I simply...the title of Queen is an honor I never expected. To be honest, I never truly wanted it."
He peered at her skeptically. “You married a prince of Asgard, surely you knew it was a possibility."
"In the abstract, perhaps," she admitted. "When we married, my only object was to call you my own."
"And you knew who I was. You cannot expect me to believe titles played no part in that decision."
"They didn't. They never could," she insisted. "You're everything I could ever want. After all these years, is that so strange to hear?"

Some Volva Sigyn ( MCU ) HCs :
. Volva are a Norse Counterpart of Druids and Druidesses in Gaulish and Celtic Communities
. Before Massacre of Valkyrie, she was a valkyrie and volva. After Massacre of Valkyrie, she went from being a lady in waiting of Frigga, to a bodyguard of Odin/Loki, to becoming a Princess of Asgard after she and Loki got married
. Similarly with druids and druidesses, Volvas also sometimes double as teachers, priests and priestesses, healers and several other positions etc in Norse Mythology
. Similarly with druids and druidesses, volvas also feel a strong connection with nature and spirits one way or another
. After the Massacre of Valkyrie, Sigyn struggles to make peace with the voices of the dead valkyrie ( after that horrific event ) - including her mother, who died saving her life in that event - for a time. Luckily, Loki and her survived loved ones then all do whatever they can to help her through it
. Aside from her lady in waiting and bodyguard related duties, Sigyn also sometimes double as a priestess in the Asgardian Royal Temple. Sometimes she is also seen giving tours of the temple to visitors ( including tourists, school students, etc ).
. In Queen Frigga's funeral, Sigyn, Eir and Nanna ( the latter 2 are also volvas ) are amongst the volva who are present to host Frigga's ceremony. All of them tried their best to hold themselves together, yet ALL of them ended up sobbing ( while hosting Frigga's funeral ) when they saw Frigga's dead body 🤯🤯🤯🤯🥺🥺🥺😭
. FYI Eir is a valkyrie and volva before she eventually became a Healer and volva after she and Nepr ( Nanna's dad ) got married. In fact, Eir soon became a lady in waiting of Frigga ( till Frigga's death ) a chief Healer of the Asgardian court till Ragnarok ( where she died of a broken heart after being unable to save Nanna from being tortured to death by Hela, despite her best efforts )
. Nanna becomes a Healer and volva, and later a Princess of Asgard after she and Baldr got married. Baldr sadly is amongst the first slain by Hela in Ragnarok, and after that, Nanna works to try poison Hela multiple times.....and then one night, Hela tortured Hela to death after abducting her from the Vanir cave refuges in her sleep one evening
. The search team for Nanna includes Heimdall, Sigyn, Hnossa and Gersemi ( Hogun's younger sisters who are twins ), Eir, Nepr and Sif. They all painstakingly tried to find her...yet by the time they did. It was too late
. Turns out Hela managed to lure them all to a death trap. And at notice of that, Sigyn screamed for EVERYONE in tow to run. And EVERYONE scrambled to flee as shards began flying towards them left and right. Several of them - including Nepr - didn't make it.
. Sometime soon After that event mentioned above, Eir sadly died of a broken heart
. Connecting with nature proved to be therapeutic for Sigyn especially after all she been through. She takes great pleasure in potion making, tarot cards and healing crystals, and also sometimes likes to infuse magical related matters in her baking ( which is one of her hobbies ) 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
. Frigga is a valkyrie ans volva before she became a Queen of Asgard. And Sigyn definitely can bond with Frigga, Nanna, Eir and several others of Frigga's ladies in waiting over volva related stuff ( yes several others of Frigga's ladies in waiting are volvas )
. Due to being from Alfheim, Sigyn's Alfheimr magic is a totally different animal from Nanna's Aesir magic. Ofc Sigyn and her volva cohorts often love to exchange magic related ideas and such 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
. Gullveig ( Frigga's younger sister and Hogun's mother ) is a Healer and volva before eventually becoming a Queen of Vanaheim. She also came to learn Vanir magic as she is going to be a Queen of Vanaheim.
. Hodr ( Norse God of Darkness, who is also blind ) is Hogun's dad and a King of Vanaheim till Ragnarok btw
🤯🤯🥺🥺🤯🤯

@i-wish-to-rule-this-world
Her father had left Asgard a few days prior, Sigyn however stayed in Asgard with her husband to be, as was expected. She knew that the King of Vanaheim would return when it was their wedding, so for now the Princess tried to settle into life within Odin's Kingdom. She was in the training grounds, bow and arrow in hand, long curls up in an intricate braid to keep out of her face. Sif was stood on the sidelines beside Thor who stood with his arms crossed over his chest. "It's not that hard to point an arrow and shoot" Thor commented. Sigyn had heard the comment, moving quickly and swiftly the arrow planted just above Thor's head making him jump slightly. "No, but precision is" Sigyn commented bluntly, the comment even made Sif smile at the sight of Thor's face.
Frigga stood beside Loki, hands clasped together in front of her. "Beautiful but deadly that one" she commented lightly, feeling the smile form. "She will make a good Queen one day" Sigyn glanced up toward Loki and Frigga giving a gentle smile and a wave. "She has been out here for a while, she is anxious without her father" the Queen noted. Sigyn reached for the arrow removing it from the tree, Thor took a few steps back. "Maybe a walk into the main town will do her some good? Get her away from the palace for a while" Frigga suggested to her son, as Sigyn went to load another arrow onto the string of her bow.

A Surprise For Loki, Part 1
The last few months had been trying for Loki and Sigyn as they had been taking over the reigns as the new King and Queen of Asgard. Their new responsibilities as King and Queen, not to mention the image they were expected to project, was exhausting, but the endless council meetings seemed to be especially tiresome for Loki.
With the help of her ladies in waiting, and some of Loki's trusted advisors, Sigyn had planned a special surprise. Unbeknownst to Loki, Sigyn had been frequenting Midgard in disguise to learn a special type of dance for him that she intended to perform at his surprise party.
Finally the day arrived and Sigyn took Loki to a special place "just the two of them." What started out as a quiet night together quickly turned into a celebration with Sigyn's and Loki's closest friends. But the biggest surprise was when the lights dimmed and the music started. There, in the spotlight next to Loki, his normally reserved wife began her sultry, erotic dance just for him.

Intro & Masterlist
Hallo everyone!! I wanted to assemble my original story concepts on a separate blog to keep myself more organized. My main blog is @scribe-of-monsters and my current main project is a gothic lit-inspired webcomic that I am in the process of scripting, which can be found at @monstersofmancomic.
This blog will be dedicated to my original story ideas. Here's a brief intro/index for them:
"Unfamiliar" is a horror/comedy about two high school students who are unexpectedly thrust into the supernatural when one of them is bitten by a vampire bat. Seeking help with their newfound circumstances, Nic and Velvet run away to a nearby coven to lay low. But the human world isn't done with them just yet- and to make matters worse, the coven is under attack from a mysterious beast: a witch's familiar corrupted by dark magic.
"Entangled" is a Norse mythology-inspired action/adventure series wherein Aster Hodges, the demigod son of Odin, seeks revenge against the Aesir by setting off the events to begin Ragnarok -- starting with freeing Loki and Sigyn from their underground prison. While on the run from the forces of Valhalla, they rescue Myrna, a young elf seer, from the cult Aster was raised in, and the four travel the Nine Worlds in a quest to free Loki's monstrous children and bring Asgard to ruin once and for all.
"Speechless" is a fantasy/drama about Kyran, the heir to the Daemon throne, who secretly hires a band of rebels to assassinate their mother, the queen, in order to stop her from inciting a war with the Faeries. To reinstate peace, Kyran joins forces with the Fae princess Uriel to hunt down the rebels, who kidnapped the Faery king during the assassination. As the manhunt rages on, Kyran finds it increasingly difficult to keep their involvement in the attack hidden-- and the rebels' general gunning for their throne only makes matters worse.

What if Sigyn's stories
Part 26
So many different universes, so many different possibilities. And in some loves Sigyn and their different stories. Pictures and brief information have been written about some of these possibilities. But what is her full story, we don't know. But we can spin them further in our thoughts ^^
The whole project here serves to show the possibilities and potential that Sigyn would have had within the Marvel Universe. How she could have been reintroduced, her story made new and more exciting. #JusticeForSigyn stands for creating Sigyn content because Marvel doesn't give us any.

My Queen
Treason. Destruction. Truth.
He says you can only get up when you've reached the bottom.
Only when you are completely broken can you rise again.
I don't know if there's anything left that can be broken.
I'm running out of time. The enemies are getting closer and closer to me from all directions.
But this time I won't be alone.
A brother swore to protect me. The other person emphasized how much he hates me.
And yet they both want me.
But something dark is unfolding inside me.
A horrific event forces its way into my consciousness.
And even if the situation between us changes, it is these memories that could doom us all.
Loyalty and Mischief by (WIP)MermaidAriel13
When the beautiful Lady Sigyn arrives in Asgard, the Trickster-God, Loki, is determined to use her for his next scheme. But not all is as it seems, and Loki may just get a lot more than he bargained for.
***
What if... Loki had a wife? This is the story of the only woman who ever loved the God of Mischief.
Lady Sigyn arrives in Asgard as the betrothed to the Crown Prince, Thor Odinson. But there is another who seeks her out. Loki, the God of Mischief and Thor's brother, means to use Sigyn in his scheme to shame Thor before all the Nine Realms. But something unexpected happens - Loki finds himself falling in love with his brother's fiancée and sets all in motion to be with her, even going against the King and Allfather himself.
But others fear the immensely destructive force that resides within Sigyn, as well as Loki's influence on her. As she struggles to keep hatred and desire for vengeance out of her heart, the all-consuming fire within her slumbers beneath the surface, waiting for that one fateful day to sprout forth and eradicate the universe... or save it from another certain titanic event.
Tangled Victorious Affair by discocompacto
While Loki is still struggling to wrap his head around the concept of the TVA, he is introduced to someone who, though now a complete stranger, will turn out to be (and, most importantly, to have been) far more significant than he could ever imagine— and yet still deep down remembered.
Be careful what you wish for
She should hate him, betray him, kill him - and under no circumstances fall in love with him!
But the dreams and wishes from childhood are over now!
Don't love me
Chaos lies throughout Asgard. Power struggles and intrigues decide the fate of the Aesir. A true master of manipulation ascends to the throne of Asgard - allying herself with the supernatural powers of the Raven. Above all, the words of a woman cursed to death: "You should never have loved me, Loki."
Gender fluid Sigyn
In the remote village on Midgard near the Veiled Mountains, life is peaceful and uneventful. Although one hears rumors of a war in the West, one pays little attention to them. Only the young farmer's son Sigyn wants to find out more about his world. He is fascinated by the old stories about the Dark One, who wanted to bring eternal night to the world.
He soon learns in a terrible way how much truth there is in these legends: bloodthirsty Trollocs, the elves of darkness, attack the village and burn down Sigyn's family farm. The magician Loki saves the boy at the last minute and travels with him to Asgard. There, Sigyn learns more about the legendary Dragon Reborn and understands how closely his own fate is linked to that of his world...
Verity Willis is Sigyn
Verity Willis would have expected everything, but not that she is a reincarnation: She learns from Lorelei that not only does an ancient magic slumber in her, but that it is also Sigyn's reincarnation - and in order to train it, she is supposed to go to Lorelei accompany. Between witch spells, mystical legends and legendary beings, Verity must now find her way in this new world. In doing so, she repeatedly finds herself in a conflict of interest because she has no memories of her past life. But unfortunately that's not all... Everything that was clear, their fixed goal in mind, is totally turned upside down. Because Verity gets on the track of a dark conspiracy that not only puts her life in danger. Revealing the truth about her identity through Lorelei's actions will reignite an old hatred.
Amora my Love
When Sigyn's parents suddenly die, she is left penniless and alone on the streets of Asgard.
And what makes her already difficult situation even worse: she is half dwarf, i.e. a member of the people who enslaved the Aesir centuries ago.
Outcast and hunted, all she has left is a special coin as a glimmer of hope, which can gain her entry into the famous Magic Academy, the recognized center of magical and martial training in the Asgard.
But her joy is short-lived when she learns that the magicians refuse to teach her. And so their desperate eyes wander down to the ruins at the foot of the Storm Rocks, hoping to find something there and thus a future for themselves...
Caught in her own darkness, she meets a young sorceress who takes care of her. With all the time that passes and stones in their path, they get closer and their adventure and love story together begins.
They lost 3 years by @jonquilclegane
They lost three years
After the battle of Ragnarok, Loki and Sigyn had agreed. No more crowns, or thrones, or Tessaract. Who cared about birthrights, when it was destroying their family and tearing them apart?
So once everyone was safe, they ran away, very, very far. Thor knew, of course, and had given them his blessing. Though they had not needed it, they had appreciated it.
They found refuge on a little watery planet, with lots of sunny islands and beautiful waterfalls, that reminded Sigyn of Vanaheim. What a lovely place to start their lives and raise their children!
But alas, it did not last long. One day, while they were having dinner, Loki felt suddenly sick. Sigyn rushed to his side, asking him what was wrong with him, but he could not answer. Instead, he turned into dust in front of her helpless eyes.
She screamed, cried, begged for him to come back, but it was in vain.
Loki was gone.
She contacted Thor and he explained that Thanos had won and that there was nothing they could do.
Sigyn refused.
She would get him back.
By any means. Had she to force the Norns to change their fates, she would.
Had she to sell her soul to all the demons of Muspell to bring him back, she would.
During three years, she looked for Karmilla, their Queen, but she seemed to have disappeared. All the Norns seemed to have died, vanished into thin air, and she wondered if it was also the design of the Purple monster, or some other dark, unknown threat.
Finally, she arrived at the roots of Yggdrassil and admired its beauty for a long time, before she heard a very familiar voice.
“Oh, what do we have here? Hello little one”
That’s when she saw him.
Loki.
Loki was inside of the tree!
What in Helheim was he doing there?
“My love!”, she called, but he stopped her.
“Not your love, I’m afraid, dear”, he corrected her, “Only one of their variants”
“Variants?”, she asked, confused at the whole situation.
“Your husband will come back in two more years”, he said, “But I can bring him back now, if you’d prefer”
Sigyn let a little cry escape her lips, and she breathe again for the first time in three years.
“Yes, please, my Lord”, she wailed, “I beg you, bring him back to me”
And so the God of stories did.
Loki and Sigyn woke up, in their little house, on the planet they called home, in the arms of each other. Loki did not remember what had happened, but was relieved he was back with his wife, once again. They might have lost three years, but they had the rest of eternity to enjoy their happy ending.
At the end of time
Loki hadn't noticed Sigyn running after him and through the protective door. When he turned around and saw her, he pushed her against the nearest wall with the help of his magic. "I have to do this alone," he said and looked over at Loki and Sylvie, who were standing behind the protective door and giving him worried looks.
Loki opened the floodgate "Finally knows what kind of god I must be, for you" he said and smiled at her and went outside.
While he was still grasping all the threads of fate, a hand fell into his. It was Sigyn who picked herself up shortly after Loki magically threw her against the wall and went after him. He starts it.
"I told you that I would stay with you until the end and if I followed you to the end of all things. "I will stay by your side no matter what happens," she said with a determination and love in her voice that made Loki, who was already very close to tears, now stream down his face. How much he loved the woman, how much he always surprised him and how much he sometimes just drove her stubborn head crazy.
"I'm right behind you," and released Loki's hand and summoned her magical bowl. And they both walked towards the throne where Loki sat down and wove destinies with one another, becoming the god of history. His wife at his side who, with the help of her bowl, let healing and help run through all the threads. United together for all eternity and never alone.

Thank you so much for answering! If you don't mind another question👉👈. Loki in chapter "the Coin", after Tony mentions his kids, thinks this: "The mortal shouldn’t even know about them. No one but Odin should. " but in later chapters it seems that both Gerdr and Helblindi(I think that's the Jutonheim's king's name) know about them, even before Loki says anything about them, and when visiting Titania, Loki freely names Hela as his daughter. Soo.. I'm kinda confused, is it a secret or not?
(Also this bit caught myattention during the reread: "'No’ he hears himself say. ‘Sigyn was not with me. I was alone in that cave.’" will we see this get expanded on? What happened with Sigyn and Loki is still a mystery after all...)
I don't mind at all!
Yes, it is a secret, for many reasons (though for a good part, it's patriarchy and toxic shit). That being said, as it is with secrets, quite a few people know nonetheless. That is either because they were there (Odin and Frigga), or Loki trusted them, or they had other ways of finding out. Gerdr and Helblindi would fall into the last category - Since Gerdr and Frey are together and Frey is Frigga's trusted brother, and both Frey and Gerdr are very good at sniffing out secrets, they eventually discovered the truth. Gerdr evidently decided to tell Helblindi then.
Loki slowly starts to trust the truth with more people, partly because it might be strategically wise but it's also a process of Loki slowly opening up. They also seem to trust the fairies, yes. What helps there is that the Mag Mell fairies don't give a flying fuck about Asgard, toxic masculinity or any of that. They also have no reason to betray Loki and tell anyone (that's not their style of harmful, they'd rather eat Tony instead or trap him forever on Mag Mell), and they're definitely not the first ones Thanos would go to to interrogate. Even Thanos will avoid dealing with fairies if he can, and "interrogating" fairies is even more of a bother than trying to kill them. Let alone that (even with the mind stone) he has not the kind of intelligence that it takes not to be run circles around by the fae.
Of all his children, Hela is the best protected and the most capable of defending herself (she's after all a literal queen and the goddess of the dead), so she's a good choice to introduce first.
The cave: I have the entire story in my head. I just need to see if that is going to be something that will be narrated in the main story arc or in a companion fic. Rest assured that it is suitably whumpy and Loki is suitably BAMF at the same time - my favorite narrative cocktail ❤️🍹.
I'm overjoyed that you read the story so attentively to catch these details ❤️❤️❤️❤️

RELATIONSHIPS
Status: engaged to Edward Hill Siblings: Thor Odinson, Hela Laufeydottir
➝ Loki's the youngest of Odin's three children. He's extremely close and deeply connected to his older brother, despite the historic ups and downs of their relationship. Since Thor saved him from Thanos's control, he and Thor have been almost inseparable. Loki is currently figuring out his relationship with his sister. It's still somewhat strained due to his alliance with Asgard, but he sympathizes with what she's gone through..
Parents: Queen Frigga and King Odin // Heimdall
➝ Loki was adopted by the King and Queen of Asgard after Odin took him from Jötunheim (his birth father is King Laufey.) He's Frigga's baby and one hundred percent a mama's boy. ➝ Eisa is the child Loki had with his late ex, Sigyn. Eisa's mother died in childbirth while Loki was mind-controlled by Thanos. Loki was unaware that she was pregnant and didn't know of Eisa's existence until he came back to Asgard following the Battle of New York. Once his name was cleared due to being under the influence of the mind stone, Loki took his then newborn daughter in. She's the earth equivalent of around three/four years old and ages pretty much on par with other Midgardian children as her mother was half-human. BACKSTORY
Shortly after Thor’s failed coronation, Loki discovered he was adopted. It threw him for a loop, but everything, like how he seemed like he was always second best in his father’s eyes, started to click. A confrontation between himself, Thor, and their father resulted in Loki willingly falling from the Bifrost. Not expecting to survive the fall, Loki fell into the Void and was taken onto Thanos’s ship where, for the next few months, he was placed under the control of the Mind Stone to be a pawn in his plan. When he first arrived on Earth, Loki had been under the Stone’s control, but Thor eventually rescued him, having noticed something was wrong. It wasn’t until then that he was able to break free. Loki and Thor fought alongside the Avengers during the Battle of New York and he remained on Midgard, working as an Avenger. Having maintained his prince title, and as a future co-king of Asgard with his brother, Loki still visits Asgard regularly.

(Pre-Thor to Thor: The Dark World)
This post will cover important key moments for Sigyn in her Marvel verses and go into-depth on the verses. Just think of it as a little more added information than what my brief summaries for the verses give her. And as always, these things can be flexible and adaptable to fit with writing partners. This is just for the people who love the extra added details like me :)
𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 - Marvel/MCU Verse (with Young!Sigyn)
PRE-THOR----
This explores Sigyn's childhood, with her parents working as diplomats for the Royal Asgardian Family, and growing up alongside Thor, Loki and Sif.
After an incident where she almost accidentally burns down her home, her parents realize she has magical abilities and asks Queen Frigga to teach her how to control it.
She grows up with stories of brave heroic warriors who defeat and slay monsters. At first Sigyn believes the stories and is afraid of monsters, but when she becomes a teenager, she starts to question if the monsters are really monsters or just misunderstood or if it depends on whose telling the story.
She thinks of Loki as her best friend, but is also close with Thor and especially Sif since she is the only other female in their friendship circle.
She is usually either with Loki studying magic, reading, playing in nature or with animals, or even more so, trying to keep Thor out of trouble.
She also gets along well with the Warriors Three.
When she becomes a teenager she starts to develop a crush on Loki.
She knows Sif has a crush on Thor and Sif knows Sigyn has one on Loki. They help each other and talk to each other about it. And of course Sigyn is crushed when she finds out Sif has a one-night stand with Loki, but when Sif explains herself and what happened, Sigyn eventually forgives her friend.
Sigyn's mother, Helga, would teach her Floriography and the uses of herbs with healing, sparking her desire to become a healer early on.
Growing up, Sigyn was often the heart and voice of reason, acting like the perfect child. However, she could be rebellious and mischievous at times.
𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲 - Marvel/MCU Verse #1
PRE-THOR----
As an adult, Sigyn works as one of Queen Frigga's handmaidens while studying to become a Healer.
She has become proficient in using magic. However, besides using magic, Sigyn wants to learn basic combat too. Sif helps teach her.
At this point Sigyn has realized she has fallen in love with Loki, and once working up the courage, she confesses her feelings.
They eventually end up marrying each other, and with this, Sigyn becomes Princess of Asgard.
Sigyn learns how to adapt to her new responsibilities as Princess of Asgard, and because she is now a Princess, Queen Frigga dismisses her saying she no longer needs to be a handmaiden.
After all the hard work, Sigyn finally becomes a Healer.
THOR 1---
Sigyn is present for Thor's coronation. She knows of Loki's concerns about his brother not being ready yet with taking on the title as King and shares it, but there is nothing else they can do except trust in Odin's judgement and continue to keep an eye on Thor.
After the intrusion by the Frost Giant's, Sigyn disagrees with her brother-in-law who says they should attack Jotunheim back, even when he tries to convince her otherwise. Sigyn, however, knows she can't stop Thor, nor will she let him endanger the others, so being the only one adapt in healing, decides to join Thor, Loki, Sif and the Warriors Three to Jotunheim.
However, she does warn one of the guards, along with Loki, about them leaving.
Sigyn chooses to follow diplomatic matters and greets King Laufey with warmth, trying to use what she knows from her parents and how they treat diplomatic matters. It seems things are going well since he allows them to leave peacefully. Loki persuades his brother to accept the offer, however...
Thor reacts brashly to a Frost Giant's taunts and it all goes to shit with them battling. When Fandral gets hurt, Sigyn runs to his side, trying to heal him while the others help protect her.
Odin arrives and thankfully intervenes. However, it's too late. War has begun with Jotunheim again. They are returned back home to Asgard.
For the first time in her life, Sigyn is mad at Thor for what has happened. However, it quickly changes when Odin takes it even further, banishing Thor from Asgard and stripping him of his powers. The sight alone makes Sigyn run cold with fear. This is also the first time she has ever seen the truth wrath of King Odin.
Sigyn speaks with her parents about what happened since they come to her concerned. At this moment Loki goes to speak with Odin, confronting him for hiding his true heritage as a Frost Giant.
When Sigyn finds out that Odin is in the Odinsleep and Frigga has made Loki temporary King, she can tell there is something bothering Loki. Something he isn't telling her. She asks him about it, but he brushes her off.
Sigyn is quick to defend Loki when Sif and the Warriors Three come to her thinking that Loki was conspiring for the throne, leading to Thor's banishment. She knows Loki cares about his family and wouldn't do such a thing.
She notices Loki distancing himself from her, only making her worry and asks Frigga what Loki is not telling her. Loki had his mother promise not to tell her, but Frigga tells her the truth about his heritage as a Frost Giant.
Now Sigyn understands it all as to why he suddenly started acting distant. She is surprised to learn of it, but it doesn't change how she feels about Loki. She only worries about him, knowing he isn't handling it well and wants to let him know she loves him regardless if he is a Frost Giant or Asgardian.
However, Asgard is under attack once more by the Frost Giants. Laufey comes to kill Odin, but Loki saves him with Frigga and Sigyn witnessing it. Sigyn tries to tell Loki she knows the truth about who he is now, but the moment is interrupted by Thor's return, who is angry at Loki.
Of course it ends up with the brothers getting in the middle of a fight. Sigyn tries to stop it, but to no avail.
She runs off after them. The bridge shatters with Thor and Loki starting to fall, but luckily, Odin awakes in time to save them. However...Loki lets go. When she questions what happened to Loki, Thor and Odin sadly tell her.
This is the first time Sigyn has been strucken with grief over the loss of Loki...and it won't be the last.
Sigyn mourns the loss of Loki with Thor, Odin and Frigga. During this time, Thor also tells her about what happened to him on Earth and about Jane Foster. She comments on how her brother-in-law has changed and matured and while she is sorry he is separated from the Midgardians, she is happy he is back home safe and sound, especially now.
She starts to spend more time with her brother-in-law, Sif and the Warriors Three, not sure exactly where to go from here.
THE AVENGERS/THOR: THE DARK WORLD---
Sigyn finds out from Queen Frigga that Loki is alive on Midgard and that Thor has been sent to bring him back home. It is the first ray of hope she experiences since mourning. Her parents even note on her sudden difference in becoming cheerful again.
But yet, things won't be the same since Loki returns home as a prisoner and criminal for the crimes he committed on New York City.
Sigyn is present in the throne room when she sees Loki arrive in shackles. She is overjoyed to see him alive again, but shocked by what he has done, wondering if there is something more to this. The Loki she knows wouldn't do the things he's done.
When Odin snaps at Loki, telling him "your birthright was to die", Thor has to literally hold Sigyn back and tell her not to interfere or things could turn out far worse for Loki, and for her (since he knows from personal experience.)
Sigyn settles down, but remains furious with Odin for how he has treated Loki, even when he goes so far as to sentence Loki a life-sentence in prison and refuses to let Frigga or Sigyn ever see Loki again.
Sure, Sigyn is known for following the rules, but you can bet she isn't accepting this bullshit. This is one of the few and rare moments where she will break the rules.
She goes to visit Frigga, hoping she can persuade Odin to at least let them visit Loki. Frigga says she can't, but also tells Sigyn that what Odin doesn't know won't hurt him. They both work up a plan to visit Loki in their own way. Frigga has already started ordering the guards to bring books and comfort to Loki's cell. While Frigga uses illusions to visit her son, Sigyn wants to be there physically.
With the help of her magic, she sneaks down to the Dungeons to visit Loki, making sure to watch out for guards and using certain spells so she is only visible to and can be heard by Loki. She knows the risk she is taking, but she doesn't agree with Odin's ruling and refuses to leave Loki alone, even when he tries to tell her she shouldn't be doing this.
During the times when she goes down to the Dungeons to visit Loki, she tries to ask him about what happened in New York and open up to her. Eventually he does and he tells her about Thanos. Sigyn also spends the time telling Loki that Frigga told her about his true origins as a Frost Giant and that it doesn't change how she feels about him. She loves Loki because he is Loki, not because he is a Prince of Asgard or Jotunheim. Sigyn also informs Loki of some things happening outside the Dungeons.
When she isn't spending her time sneaking down to the Dungeons to speak with Loki, Sigyn is usually with Thor, Frigga, her parents or the Warriors Three. She tends to avoid Odin if she can because she doesn't think she can hold herself back from snapping at the King of Asgard.
When Thor, Sif and the Warriors Three go away to Vanaheim to stop the Marauders, Sigyn arrives after the battle as a healer to help anyone who needs healing.
Sigyn meets Jane Foster alongside Frigga when Thor brings her to Asgard. She can tell Sif isn't happy about it, but warmly welcomes the human. All she wants is for her brother-in-law to be happy.
She helps Eir as they discover the Aether is one with Jane, and keeps quietly glaring at Odin. They work on trying to find a way to remove it from Jane without killing her. She spends this time getting to know her alongside Frigga.
A riot has broken out in the prisons. Thor asks for her to keep an eye on Jane with Frigga. However, Frigga has expected this diversion and instructs the girls to follow her orders, already having a plan in place.
Sigyn, already knowing what she is up to, having practiced such procedures when she was one of Frigga's Handmaidens, attempts to act as a servant once again while Frigga makes a holographic replica of Jane. Sigyn places a protective barrier around Jane who is hiding. When Malekith enters the room, Sigyn arrives at Frigga's side and tries to help her stop Malekith. Frigga is nearly successful in besting him, but Kurse intervenes, grabbing Frigga and demanding she tell him where Jane and the Aether are. When she refuses, all Sigyn can do is watch helplessly as Frigga is wounded, but Thor has also witnessed it too, sending a bolt of lightning towards Malekith as the Dark Elves flee.
Sigyn then quickly grabs Frigga and tries to use healing spells on her, sobbing and shouting with panic, begging her to stay awake. But she is unable to help. The wounds are too deep and she isn't healing fast enough to counteract it. Frigga ends up dying in her arms with Thor and Odin sobbing alongside Sigyn.
She is a wreck knowing she couldn't save her Queen or Mother-in-laws life and it is the first incident that starts making her doubt about her calling as a Healer.
The funeral is held and Sigyn isn't sure what to tell Loki. All she knows is that it will leave him heartbroken too. She ends up sending a guard to tell him before planning to sneak down to the Dungeons to visit him again after the funeral.
However, Thor stops her, knowing exactly what she is up to and asks her to accompany him to see Loki, coming up with a plan to avenge Frigga, but also save Jane since Odin refuses to do so.
This is the first time Sigyn absolutely agrees with Thor's plans without hesitation and joins him.
They help free Loki from his cell and in act their plan. With help from Sif, Fandral, and Volstagg, they hijack a downed Dark Elf ship and make their way out of Asgard and to a hidden portal that teleports them to Svartalfheim. Sigyn notes on how the Aether is starting to drain the life from Jane and they need to hurry. She can't do much else to help her.
When Loki and Thor start fighting, with it seeming as if Loki is betraying Thor, Sigyn can tell it is one of their tricks. After all, she knows what it is like when they are really fighting each other having grown up around them. So she goes along with the act, but it is all revealed to be a ruse.
Just when it seems they might be getting somewhere, however, Loki ends up injured. Sigyn rushes over to help heal her husband, telling him he will be okay, but clearly struggles with healing him, having it be a reminder of how she couldn't save Frigga. At this point Sigyn is starting to think her magic is failing her. She can't save the ones she loves. Loki appears to die.
Sigyn ends up following Thor and Jane to Earth, making this Sigyn's first time visiting Midgard in a long time since she was a little girl centuries ago. She helps to defeat Malekith, knowing it is also what Loki would want.
After their victory, Sigyn returns back to Svartalfheim, searching for Loki's body, but is unable to find it. This leads her to wonder if somehow he was still alive. She should already expect tricks from Loki at this point. She doesn't know whether to feel angry or sad or both if she knew he was still alive and had tricked her like that.
Sigyn and Thor return back to Asgard and greet "Odin", who congratulates them on their victory. However, Thor shocks them both when he reveals he is not ready to bear the weight of the throne and be king. Instead, he has plans to return back to Earth and be with Jane.
When "Odin" asks Sigyn if she has plans of her own as well, she pauses, pondering over his question with deep thought. She replies with tears in her eyes, saying that as a Healer she wasn't able to save the ones she loves. She wasn't able to save Frigga or Loki. And she is now not clear on what her purpose or calling is in life...but she would like to go out there and find it. For the first time in her life, Sigyn chooses to leave Asgard, wanting to go to Earth with Thor and find her purpose so she can eventually return back to Asgard and be a better and stronger Princess for their people.
"Odin" is shocked, but does not stop Thor or Sigyn.

What if... In the King Loki AU, Nari found out the truth about the invasion of the Jotuns? Nobody really questions about that time because Loki is a good king. And I imagine Loki asking him to keep it a secret for the family's sake, especially from his little sister Vali.
It's been a minute since I've written in this verse. I think there's a lot Loki would be struggling with by the time that this would become narratively appropriate, and I find the concept fascinating. >:)
Thank you for the ask!
---
It was the middle of the night, and Nari knew that he shouldn’t have been going down to the weapons vault. But there was something inside his chest that was pulling him there, like someone had tied a string around his heart and was leading him by it. He carefully slipped past guards and servants— more guards than servants these days, ever since the calamity that caused half of Asgard to vanish into dust, including Nari’s mother, the queen. His father seemed to heighten security tenfold every fortnight, and spent more time locked up in his study than ever before.
He could hear footsteps approaching and hid in an alcove behind a tapestry. As the footsteps passed, he heard voices he recognized as his uncles Fandral and Volstagg, and his cousin Hogun.
“…brother says he’s been ready to return for over a decade,” Fandral hissed. “I don’t understand why he wouldn’t bring him home, especially with Sigyn gone.”
“Loki never learned what Odin’s intentions were with Thor,” Hogun said. “And after the havoc Hela brought with her, is it a wonder that he wouldn’t reach out to the man that almost caused yet another war? We had barely recovered by the time the calamity struck.”
“How did Theoric learn of Thor’s whereabouts?” Volstagg asked. “I thought travel to Midgard was forbidden.”
“Travel to Midgard from Asgard is,” Fandral said. “Vanaheim was never given that restriction. Thor is not the same man he once was. He has a wife and children, and he protects Midgard as well as Heimdall protects us. While she still lived, the Queen Mother herself said that Thor’s exile was never meant to be permanent.”
More footsteps approached and the three fell silent. Nari could hear a rotation of guards pass by. After they were out of earshot, Hogun spoke again.
“Fandral, you know Loki better than anyone still living,” he said. “But this kind of talk is why Sif is dead, and you know it.”
“I know, I know,” Fandral said. “But it’s because I know him this well that I brought this to you. My concern for him is great. My concern for Asgard is greater, if he continues to fall into himself like this. It’s getting to the point where he can no longer govern, and you both have seen that.”
There was a pause. Nari could feel the knots in his chest tightening.
“What should we do?” Hogun asked.
“Not here,” Fandral said. “In two days, we leave for Vanaheim with Theoric— my father’s fief has places for the kind of talk this leads to, far from the ears that would hear the worst of us.”
The three left and Nari exhaled. He left the alcove, and continued towards the vault.
Nari could feel a chill as he entered and looked around at the weapons stored there. The tug he had been feeling pulled him towards the Casket of Ancient Winters. He knew it to be an ancient Jotun artifact, why was it calling to the Crown Prince of Asgard?
He put a hand on it, and his skin turned blue.
He staggered back, his skin fading back to its normal color.
“What is this?” he breathed. “What curse could have done this?”
“It is no curse.”
Nari gasped, turning around to see his father descending the stairs into the vault.
“Or, rather,” Loki continued, “it is the most unbreakable curse— that of your true bloodline and heritage.”
Loki put a hand on the casket and his skin shifted to turn blue as well, lines etching themselves on his face. Nari drew his dagger.
“Sorcerer!” he said. “What have you done with my father?”
“I am your father,” Loki said. “This is who I have always been. King Loki of Asgard, son of King Laufey of Jotunheim.”
Nari shook his head. “No. No, that’s not…”
“Your mother wanted to wait until you were older,” Loki said, his skin shifting back to normal. “But I always knew you would learn for yourself.”
Nari’s grip on the dagger wavered.
“Mother knew?” he asked.
“Of course she did,” Loki said. “And there was nothing about it that made her love us any less.”
Loki put a hand on his son’s shoulder.
“She would want you to be proud of this,” he said.
Nari pulled himself away.
“Proud of what?” Nari asked. “You could have told me what I was from the beginning, why didn’t you?”
“You are my son,” Loki said. “My blood. I only wanted to protect you from the truth.”
“Because we are the monsters that parents tell their children about at night?” Nari sneered. He could feel his eyes burn.
Loki stepped back, hearing his son’s voice echo words that he had said himself not too long ago.
“No,” Loki said. “No, you are not a monster. You are a child, you are my son.”
“Does Váli know?” Nari asked.
“No,” Loki said. “And I would not have you tell her. She is even younger than you, allow her the innocence of youth.”
Nari looked back at the Casket.
“What happened?” Nari asked. “How did you become king, keeping this secret?”
Loki looked away, trying to decide how much to tell his son.
“Your Uncle Thor,” Loki started, “is brash, and vainglorious, and destructive. But he was first in line. A band of Jotuns attempted to steal the Casket on the day he was to be crowned, and the ceremony was delayed. Thor in his… wisdom, decided the best response to this was to start a war. Your grandfather disagreed. Thor was stripped of his titles and his power, to be exiled from Asgard. Soon after, due to the strain of these events, Father entered the Odin-sleep. I was the spare. And I was crowned king.”
“You never talk about Thor,” Nari said. “What happened to him, where is he?”
Loki paused, considering what he should tell Nari.
“I don’t know if he’s even alive,” Loki said. “With the calamity that was visited upon us five years ago, that took your mother from us… it seems likely that he might have been taken as well.”
Nari was about to ask another question, but stopped himself.
“If there is anything else you want to know, do not hesitate,” Loki said. “But these are painful memories, to Asgard and to me. Tread lightly, my son, on your poor father’s heart.”
Nari put away his knife and went to embrace his father.
“I’m sorry that happened,” Nari said. “You must miss him very much.” Loki paused at that. “I do.”
He kissed his son’s head and smiled.
“There are three things you should never doubt,” Loki said. “That I love you, that your mother loved you, and that you will be king. All that I do serves to secure your throne. It’s all I have left.”
Nari nodded. “I understand. I love you, too, Father.”
Loki hugged his son.
“Now, back to bed with you,” Loki said.
---
It was early the next morning. Heimdall was at his post as usual. And, as usual, he knew exactly who was coming down the bridge to speak with him.
“Of course, I always appreciate a visit from my grandson,” Heimdall said. “But I might ask why you are prepared to leave.”
Nari walked up beside Heimdall.
“I need to ask you a question,” Nari said. “And I need you to not tell my father that I asked.”
“Your father is the king,” Heimdall said. “I must obey his orders.”
“I am the future king,” Nari said. “What of mine?”
Heimdall nodded. “You can always ask me anything, your highness.”
Nari took a deep breath.
“Is my uncle alive?” he asked.
Heimdall paused.
“Yes,” Heimdall said. “He is on Midgard.”
“Can you send me to him?” Nari asked.
“Travel to Midgard is expressly forbidden,” Heimdall said. “By the order of King Loki.”
“Grandfather, please,” Nari said. “I need to speak with him.”
“Because you just found out you are half-Jotun and you’re all of thirteen years old and very confused about everything you know,” Heimdall said. “Is that about right?”
Nari paused. “Can you at least tell me about him? Mother used to talk about him, before the calamity. Father never does.”
Heimdall nodded. “Right now, he is working with his wife and friends to solve a very difficult problem. They believe they can reverse the calamity.”
Nari blinked. “And then Mother—”
“Would be returned to you, yes,” Heimdall said.
“I must tell Father!”
Nari went to run back to the palace, but Heimdall put a hand on his shoulder.
“I do not tell the king everything I see,” Heimdall said. “I do not believe it would be wise to inform him of this.”
“Why not?” Nari asked. “Don’t you want Mother back?”
“Of course I do,” Heimdall said. “But your uncle is a sensitive topic with your father. If Thor were to return—”
“What would it matter?” Nari asked. “He would have his brother back as well.”
“Thor is, rightfully, king, Nari,” Heimdall said. “If Thor returned, he could challenge your father for the throne.”
Nari paused. “Would he do that?”
“Considering the circumstances in which your father became king, it is not unlikely,” Heimdall said.
“Circumstances?” Nari asked. “He tried to start a war!”
“Yes,” Heimdall said. “Your father tried to start a war.”
Nari paused. “What do you mean?”
“He told you of the Jotuns’ that attacked on the day Thor was to be made king,” Heimdall said. “Who do you think let them into the palace?”
Nari shook his head.
“Why are you telling me this?” Nari asked. “Why are you lying to me?”
“I think you know better than to ask me that,” Heimdall said.
“Father would never—”
“I don’t know that your father realized what he was doing until it was done,” Heimdall said. “But as it stands, it is directly by these actions that your father is king.”
Nari closed his eyes. He could feel the tears rolling down his face.
“Why are you telling me this?” he asked again.
“Because your uncle seeks to set right that which has gone wrong,” Heimdall said. “And your father will do anything to maintain his position and power. Your father has killed people, Nari, to keep this secret.”
“Did Mother know?” Nari asked. “Is that why she’s gone?”
“Your mother is gone because a madman from Titan had not the creativity to think of any other solutions to systemic inequalities than genocide,” Heimdall said. “No, your mother did not know. She had her suspicions, but she loved your father too much to interrogate further. To ask would be to lose him, possibly forever, and she knew she couldn’t bear it.”
Nari took a deep breath.
“But I tell you these things so that you may tell her when she returns,” Heimdall said.
“Why couldn’t you tell her?” Nari asked.
“Because I am sending you to Midgard,” Heimdall said.
He pushed Hofund into the controls and the Bifrost opened up.
“Quickly,” Heimdall said. “Before your father wakes up and sees.”
Nari looked from Heimdall, to the palace, and back.
“Grandfather—”
“Go!”
Nari dashed into the Bifrost and disappeared from Asgard. Heimdall closed the Bifrost, sighing.
“Bring your mother and uncle home,” he said quietly.
