Update + Recs

I'm struggling with some crazy burnout at the minute but know I am trying to work on requests in the background when I'm feeling inspired. There's a lot of things I want to work out but my brain just isn't cooperating

I've got requests for characters I've never written about before and I'm looking forward to trying it for the first time

I've got requests for female characters which I'm looking forward to because fem characters just don't get enough love

I've got long form requests that I want to get around to because I do love writing long form works, not just short drabbles

I've still got combo requests sitting and gathering dust in my drafts that I do intend to get around to

I promise I'm still working in the background, I'm just struggling to get my brain to cooperate at the minute, and I'm writing whatever I can manage to so I can still be posting things people will hopefully enjoy

Writing a gender neutral reader/Sanji fic is.. hard. I've never so much as blinked before, it's always been easy, but Sanji is a bitch

He treats men and women so differently, and there's no guessing how he'd treat a non-binary person who he couldn't ascertain the gender of, and then there's the way he treats the okama

I'm working on my part of a fic trade with @fanaticsnail and I haven't even got to the main bulk of the plot, I've just accidentally created a side plot that I'm now committed to

200 followers celebration!

Today I hit 200 followers! I've been preparing for a little while now and I have an event here to say thank you! (Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll to decide which event to do)

Since writing is, in fact, my only skill, this is of course a writing event!

Linked here is my "Logan Masterlist" which is a playlist that is over 80 hours long full of music that I enjoy

To submit a request, go onto that playlist, hit shuffle, and skip until you find a song you like, then send that to me with a pairing and any extra details to form your request. I will then write a ficlet inspired by what you sent

Example:

"Hey, this is for your 200 followers event! Can I get Crocodile x GN!Reader with the song "Kiss with a Fist" by Florence and the Machine? But can the reader also be super tall! Thanks"

Thank you so much for this crazy milestone! I haven't been writing on Tumblr for long, but I've been gaining followers like it's nobody's business and it's just insane

As well as working on these, I'll finish up the combo requests I have so far, but won't start working on any new ones until after this event is over. I'll also continue working on regular requests, but the same system applies, new requests won't start to be worked on until after this event is over (but you can still send new ones! They'll just sit in my inbox for now).

Maybe a controversial opinion but

I do think there's a honeymoon period in relationships, but it's less that you stop loving them as much after it ends and more that the initial novelty of your partner wears off? You want to bask in the joy of something new, and then it becomes a little more normal.

I've never stopped loving my girlfriend, or being excited to see her when she comes home, or feeling blessed to have her, or being happy to dote on her, or whatever

But it's still different to that initial burst of happy chemicals at the very beginning

Road to 200 poll

So I'm slowly creeping up on 200 followers, and I'm thinking of ways to celebrate

But I've had two ideas, and I'm not sure which to use. I'll use both eventually, I'd probably save the other for a future milestone

(I'd be open to writing One Piece, Teen Wolf and maybe Mystreet too for the event)

So you guys get to vote on which you prefer (options explained beneath the poll/cut)

You send a pairing request, and tell me how many times to skip songs to get a prompt.

I'd be using my longest playlist, which is just over 84 hours long. I'd put it on shuffle and start it, then skip the number of times I was told to get a song to use as inspo. Zero skips would be whatever song comes up first

E.g., Benn/Reader, four skips (I'd press play, then press skip four times)

I link the same long ass playlist in the announcement post for the event, and let people pick a song they like to go with their request. This would make sure I know the song I'm using for ideas, and that requesters have a better idea of what they'd be getting

Dating Service

This would be a reader insert only event, whereas random song could also feature canon pairings

Reader works for a dating service in which they are hired to go on dates with customers (either blind or specially selected) either because they're lonely, rusty with dates, they want a date for an event, etc

E.g., Smoker/Reader, blind date, for practice

E.g., Shanks/Reader, specially selected, for a wedding

I used to have just one irl following my blog, and that was my literal best friend ever, and they're not even active

I recently liked up on here with another irl (if you're reading this, hi Cariad) and it's occurring to me that I don't know them that well really and they're going to find out so much about me from this blog
