đđđđđ đđđđđđ' đđđđđđđđđđ đđ đđđđđđ:
johnny utah, neo, jack traven & john wick: 'tragic hero' lovers - they would fight for your love undoubtedly, "sacrificing" themselves for the sake of the relationship
david allen griffin: 'yandere' lover - beguiling, male siren; psychotically obsessed, will literally kill anyone who gets in their way in favour of your love. probably stalk or kidnap you if he had to. he doesn't take no for an answer, he WILL get you and you WILL comply to him and his warped fantasies
ted logan: 'high school sweetheart' lover - innocent, goofy, dorky, neurodivergent boyfriend that cherishes you cutely as the "bodacious babe" you are, gradually growing up with you and marrying later on, solidifying the 'excellence'. childhood sweethearts....
you'll also have a daughter called Billie (i know, just don't ask.)
kevin lomax, donnie barksdale & johnny silverhand: 'toxic' lovers - first two are both dangerous men who will jeopardise the relationship selfishly for themselves. one is a greedy lawyer who sold his soul and one is a hillbilly redneck who's a serial wife-beater & racist. one, however, is just a sleazy foul-mouthed terrorist who holds strong radical, anti-mainstream beliefs. he's not dangerous like the other two but he is not a nice guy
julian mercer: 'the ideal type' lover - this guy is an all-in-one, a dream come true, sent from heaven, everything you'd wish in a man is him. he is perfect. husband material core, the dream man âą
alex wyler: 'soulmate' lover - predestined love wandering aimlessly in an alternate world. your souls are meant for each other but you just don't know yet or you don't exist in the same timeline
john constantine: 'secret' lover - he has a deep crush on you but doesn't tell you, for some reason. probably because of his ego to just maintain that cool guy aura, or he's just a shy guy
scott favour: 'friends with benefits/affair' lover - a short bittersweet romance that was full of deep sensuality & soulful friendship but he'd eventually break it off to go back to his wealthy life. don't be too disheartened, he still misses you
matt & rupert marshetta: 'typical teenage' lover - you guys were best friends but decided to turn that spark into romance. you're both teenagers and most likely aware of the notoriously short expiry dates of young adolescent love but it's nice to live in the moment

logan/veronica <3 i can handle it
I'm sorryyyy I'm gonna let you down but I have no strong lingering emotions about logan. but i mean i think it's okay for veronica to have a pet psychotic jackass as a treat. that said, ideally she would have a boyfriend who at least hates women less than she does so they can balance each other out

One thing I love love love about Audrey and JJ, is their solid love for one another and the care that they have for eachother that trumps all else.
I trust you with handling Rafe in your story, but one thing Iâm scared about is I hope itâs not a toxic relationship. I struggle with a lot of Rafe/love interest stories because right off the bat Rafe is psychotic and/or slightly abusive and I canât get on board with that. So obviously I trust you and I know that Logan and Rafe will have to go through their development to get to a place where they can be together, but I hope we do get to experience a solid, loving relationship for them (and get to experience them being a couple). Anywho, just my thoughts lol.
Love your writing, Kate!!
JJ and Audrey can be a little codependent, and theyâll battle that out in therapy, but overall I want them to be good and have that solid relationship, where nothing else is going right but at the end of the day they still have each other and no matter what happens they always will. I think thatâs why these two get a little hysterical when thereâs a threat of them being separated or one of them could get hurt, because that would ruin everything.
Logan and Rafe are an entirely different type of couple and itâs definitely going to be a challenge writing them. But Iâm excited for it! I think thatâs also why I didnât have any ideas for Rafe until recently, because he is so toxic. Heâs bad and he makes bad choices and he has so few values and he doesnât seem to care about anyone.
But then, when you stop and think about it, Rafe is only nineteen. He has an abusive father, who has pitted Rafe and Sarah against one another probably their whole lives. He doesnât have a mother or mother figure, he has two sisters heâs probably had to begrudgingly look after for years. He has no friends. Kelce and Topper are just acquaintances. Topper is Sarahâs boyfriend and just friendly with Rafe, and Kelce is Topperâs friend. Theyâre both in high school. Rafe should be in college, but heâs not. You canât tell me that Ward didnât make sure Rafe got in somewhere. So why isnât he still there?
Rafe is a product of his environment. Someone who needed some help and some love, who never got it. Heâs spoiled because his dad says he is. He doesnât understand hard work or whatâs important because heâs never had to know either, and then Ward gets mad at him for not knowing any of the lessons that he never taught his son.
And then after looking at all that, it becomes more obvious that Rafe does care. He cares about his dad and he wants his dadâs approval. To the point that he will do anything to get it. Because approval = love and thatâs the only type of love heâs ever known. Itâs conditional, and itâs toxic, and Rafe deserved a lot more.
So Iâm hoping Logan can give that to him and he can do the same for her.
And thank you for reading and enjoying it!!! đ„°

Log Entry XXXXXX - Chapter 7
Summary: A new space station, complete with the most high spec and up to date technology there is to offer, has been set up at the edge of the known universe, a new way point for explorers to keep in contact with the rest of the human race. It has been carefully designed by the best scientists and engineers Earth could offer, and now 7 brave souls are being sent out to ensure everything works perfectly.
However, when Logan wakes from cryosleep from the journey, he is informed that several things are now in need of repair, though everything had been in perfect working condition when the station had been reconstructed before he and his crew had arrived. They will have to solve the problems theyâve been left with before the station is up and running, and yet Logan canât help but feel heâs done this beforeâŠ
Relationships: Intrulogical (Remus/Logan)
Warnings: Blood, Gore, Parasites, Remus having an overactive imagination, Itâs an Among Us crossover so there will be bad stuff afoot.
A/N: Itâs been a while, but I hope you enjoy the update!
For those of you who donât know, this story is based off of a comic by @fangirltothefullest which I HIGHLY recommend you check them out on the link above! Their art is AMAZING.
Note to everyone before we begin; there will be graphic descriptions of gore, dismemberment, possibly torture, and any other awful things that come with the territory of writing a story in an Among Us universe. (No gore in this chapter though!)

Chapter 7: Day 1
Day 1
As Remus was dragged into the waking world, he realised his body felt weird. Not the good kind of weird either -- the kind where you had a deep ache inside you and your skin tingled with the aftermath of gripping fingers and biting teeth -- but an annoying one. It was like he'd been put in a tumble dryer and built up too much static because of all the jumpers, or he'd been squashed under a giant butt (and not the juicy kind) and every part of him had fallen asleep.
It was weird.
He rolled over, trying to find someone to comfort him, but he hit something hard and, without looking or thinking about it, he climbed over it.
He hit the cold floor with no warning, the meat of his arm and leg having taken most of the impact, along with his elbow and knee, and he groaned in pain and annoyance. He loved bruises, how they blossomed into great puddles of browns and purples and greens and blues and yellows under the skin, but he didn't like the cold of the floor. In revenge he spread his body out over it to heat it up as he blinked at the growing brightness. What was he doing again?
"Are you alright?"
Logan! Of course, this was the shuttle to the Sanders Station, and heâd swapped with Virgil so he could be with his boy-toy! How could he have forgotten? He groaned in response and rolled over, pulling himself towards the other cryotube in the room, his muscles feeling tender and uncooperative. When he reached the giant metal dildo he pulled himself up until his nose poked over the edge of the tube.
Logan was lying in reprise, his eyes closed, like a corpse at a wake, but after a few moments of staring at his love Remus could see the lines of tension between his eyes, a stiffness to the set of his shoulders, and the hard set to his jaw.
âBad dream, Ana-Logie?â he asked, reaching out to brush the hair from the manâs brow.
âYou could say that,â his nerdy Wolverine said with a sigh as he leaned into his fingers, opening his eyes. The tension was still there, but he smiled up at Remus with a sad yet fond look. âItâs all a bit of a nightmare.â
It took him a few moments to realise that Logan hadnât been shocked at all by the little switcheroo, but he pushed the thought away. For now.
Remus frowned, wondering why his boyfriend sounded like heâd just sat through one of Romanâs boring movie marathons, only to find out there was another love story lined up, but worse. âDo you want to talk about it?â
Logan shook his head, still smiling. âI just⊠need to find the right words. Maybe over breakfast.â
Remusâs brow furrowed even more, knowing Logan was lying, but nodded as he continued to stroke his fingers through their hair. âAlright then. Iâll be here if you need me.â
âI know you will.â Why did that sound so sad? Logan reached up and held Remusâs cheek, running his thumb over the bone under his eye. âGive me a bit and Iâll join you for breakfast.â
Remus hummed and lay back down on the ground, staring up at the ceiling. He tried to find cracks, lines that were silent promises of doom and distraction, but there was nothing. He huffed and pushed himself up to the edge of the giant dildo and looked down on his whale penis with a pout.
"I didn't get my-" he began, only to get cut off as Logan lunged from his spot to kiss him greedily. Not one to look at the mould and puss in a gift horse's mouth, Remus reciprocated in kind, holding Logan's cheek even as they pulled back, gasping for air. "Wow."
Logan smirked in a way that made Remusâs heart feel like it was going to disintegrate into ashes inside his chest. âI missed you.â
âYeah,â Remus said, staring at Logan for a few more moments before he pulled himself up and over the edge and onto Logan, who had started laughing, probably because Remus was kissing every inch of skin he could find and he had said that his furry nose fiend made him ticklish.
There was soon a lot more skin for him to tickle, and Remus was only too happy to show Logan just how much heâd missed him in return.
When they headed to the small seating area some time later (Remus didnât really know how long they had been, nor did he really care, he just knew that he was feeling the good kind of weird now, and his body ached deliciously) after a quick stint in the refresher, Remus headed straight to the screen in the wall to prepare breakfast.
Logie-Bogie was still acting a bit off, so perhaps a trip down memory lane would help. The meal from their first date sounded like a good idea. He typed in the order for pesto pasta and hummed a little bit of the Jekyll and Hyde musical, wiggling a little to the silent beat as he imagined the psychotic monster wandering the streets for his next victim.
âAlive,â Logan said, bringing Remusâs tune to a quiet halt, âand then youâll move on to Bring On the Men. Youâll give me a bowl of pesto pasta--â The machine in the wall dinged and a steaming bowl slipped out from the slot. â--and call me your Emma and Lucy both before spinning me in your arms and kissing me as you suggest I take you back to bed for a little longer.â
Remus ignored the pasta and sat at Loganâs feet, taking his hands in his as his mind reeled. That was exactly what he was going to do. Probably. He didnât know for sure, but he knew he would have sung Bring On the Men, and it did sound like something he would do. Was Logan a mind reader now? Could he see into the future? Did that mean his brain would end up overloading and exploding and end up leaking out of his nose and ears?
Logan smiled at him. His eyes were sad. âThen, after I tell you this, weâll meet the others, Virgil will be having a panic attack if weâre later than seven on the dot, weâll make a plan of action, and then we will enter the Station. Three hours later, two of us will have fatal encounters with the parasitic aliens that are waiting for us. Over the next few hours, be it through the lack of oxygen, from a reactor meltdown, our own paranoia, or being murdered by imposters in the shape of our friends and family, weâll all be dead.â He chuckled, the laugh dead and limp in the air, and almost desperate. âWhatâs worse is that I donât even remember how many times itâs happened. I tried to keep track but⊠I donât even know why Iâm trying anymore. I can never save you. I canât stop the loop. You⊠You never remember. IâŠâ
Remus climbed up onto his partnerâs lap and held him close, waiting for him to cry but instead finding his chest dry. Logan was just blank, staring at nothing. âLoâŠâ
âIâm all alone,â the man whispered. âYouâre all here, but Iâm so alone. I think Iâm going insane. I have lived this day over and over on a constant loop with almost no reprieve, I have seen your death so much that Iâm almost numb to it. I donât want to feel nothing when I look at you. I donât want to shut off from this, but if I donât, then Iâm going to break... I just want it to end.â
âOh my bleeding heart,â Remus murmured, rocking them both back and forth as he imagined Logan snapping, his brilliant mind shattering into a thousand pieces. Would it leave behind a shell; a husk of what had once been? Would it be a blank face, like the one he was holding to his chest, a robot still working but empty of feeling? Would Logan go in the other direction and feel too much; would he be overwhelmed by everything? That would lead to that shell-like state, but it could also mean acting irrationally, and possibly dangerously. He didnât know enough about mental health to make any real guesses, but if any of those were to happen⊠He held Logan a little tighter to his chest. âWhat do you want me to do?â
Logan let out a stunted laugh, but there was a small smile on his face now. âHold me. Just for a little bit longer.â
âIâd hold you âtil the end of eternity if you asked me,â Remus said, kissing Logan on his temple.
âI know you would,â Logan said with a sigh, finally wrapping his arms around Remusâs back.
For a while they just sat there, holding each other, Remus focusing on the steady breaths of his beloved and swatting away thoughts of death and carnage and broken minds as much as he could in the silence. He started humming again after a while, not thinking about the tune until Logan chuckled, where he realised heâd continued with his rendition of Alive and moved onto Bring On the Men, just as Logan had said he would.
âSorry,â Remus muttered, sure that the tunes werenât helping.
âItâs alright,â Logan replied, and he snuggled into Remusâs chest a little more. âItâs nice.â
âIt is?â
âMmm.â
âGood,â Remus said, brushing at Loganâs hair.
Logan leaned into the touch and Remus continued to hum, but he stopped once he reached the end of the song.
â... Why do you always believe me?â
Remus pulled back a little. âWhy do I always believe you?â
Logan nodded, meeting his eye. âItâs a ridiculous thing, what Iâm saying. Impossible by any logical count, and still you take me by my word. The first time I explained myself you tested me, but nowâŠâ
Remus smiled softly. âBecause itâs impossible, and ridiculous, and you told me about it like you were stating the facts that you found in one of your algorithms or through one of your experiments. I believe you because I know you would never lie to me.â
Somehow, this brought on the tears, and Remus softly wiped at the trail they left on Loganâs cheeks. âBut I have lied to you!â
âWas it during the loop?â Remus asked. âWas it to try and protect me from being killed by a face hugger?â
Logan sniffed. âTheyâre more like the creature from The Thing.â
âWas it to protect me from being killed by the Thing then?â
â... Yes.â
âThen I forgive you.â
Logie-Bogieâs face crumpled and he pressed it to Remusâs shoulder, where he rubbed at his back in some hopeless attempt at comfort.
â... You would also never lie about something like this, so thereâs that too.â
Logan let out a wet laugh. âI love you.â
âI love you too, my snotty love.â
They sat like that, comforting each other, for perhaps a bit too long, though Remus would have stayed there indefinitely to keep Logan happy if he had to; by the time Logan had pushed him through the rest of their morning, eating the pesto pasta despite it having gone a little cold, it had gone seven, and Emo was recovering from a panic attack with help from Prince Perfect and Daddy-kins. It was all exactly as Logan had said it would be, and when each of them headed off to where they had each decided they would be best needed with all the work they had ahead of them, Logan continued to explain the situation in a little more detail.
âYouâre saying that there are videos from past loops?â Remus asked, pulling his tablet out as Logan made quick work of the Oxygen filter.
âYes,â the scientist replied, âbut, for some reason, you can only access them on the screen in Communications. There are some text files that you can access though, once youâve downloaded them from the Station.â
Remus hummed and swiped through the screen a bit to connect before setting the tablet aside as the little man walked from one end of the screen to the other carrying digital files like a fae creature carrying a baby away from its crib in the middle of the night. âAnd we still have a few hours until anything really happens.â
âThatâs correct,â Logan said, slotting the first of the filter boards back in before pulling out the second. âThe air is breathable by the way, though I suggest you keep hold of your helmet in case the creatures decide to turn off the lights again.â
âSo lights, oxygen and reactor,â Remus said with a nod, trying to remember exactly how long it took for a body to deteriorate and decompose when it was exposed to radiation. However long it took, he was sure it would be painful, or at the very least disgusting, considering it probably involved burst blood vessels and the vomiting and so forth. Very messy.
âAnd doors.â
âDoors?â What did doors have to do with anything?
âThey can close doors too. And travel through the vents.â
âOh.â So they could trap you in a room, isolate you, turn off the lights, and murder you while everyone else thought they were in another room. He chuckled, though there was no humour in it; how could there be when it was his Logan who was living through it. âItâs a real life horror movie.â
Logan hummed in agreement as he continued to clean the filter. Remus watched him for a few moments more before sliding on his butt across the floor and hugging him from behind. Logan immediately relaxed into him, though their helmets made the whole process extremely awkward.
âIs there anything I can do to help?â
âI wish there was,â Logan said, his voice quiet, defeated. âI havenât been able to think of anything that could prevent the death of at least two of our crew. Even when we have ejected them into space with five of us still alive and well I have awoken to the start of the day. My efforts result in nothing but disappointment.â
"Maybe you have to keep everyone alive," Remus suggested, watching as Logan slotted the filter back in place.
"It's something I've considered," the scientist admitted, "but I don't see how it would change anything. Besides, no matter what I try I can never catch the parasites before they find their hosts."
Remus hummed, looking at the tablet to check its progress before reaching up to remove his helmet; just a minute more until he could see what Logan had recorded. He breathed in the air, which tasted stale, like bread that had been out for too long, or a freshly dusted room but the cleaner had died before they could open a window so it was still all just sitting there. He gave Logan another squeeze.
âHow often do you take breaks?â he asked, wondering what his booger buddy would look like if his body could reflect what heâd been through. Would there be bags under his eyes? Would he be pale? Would he have lost weight, hair, strength? How many scars would he have? What would a body look like if it had been torn in two and stitched back together again?
âYou tend to make sure I get some sleep when I need it,â Logan replied, and Remus could hear the smirk in his voice. âYou always know. I donât know how you do it.â
Remus chuckled. âI know you too well.â
âYou really do.â
Smiling, Remus rested his head against Loganâs helmet for a moment before pulling away. âSo, are we going to be doing any rescuing? Any daring attempts at fighting off the hordes of hell?â
âNot this time,â Logan said with a sigh, resting the filter in his lap. âIâm tired, Remus. I donât think I could handle anything like that. I canât...â His voice faded and his head drooped down. He looked defeated.
âCanât what?â
â... I canât watch you die again.â
That⊠was a good reason. âIâll stay with you then. For now at least.â
Logan hummed and sent him a smile. âYou can read my notes.â
âYeah.â He looked at the tablet, which had finished downloading all the files. There were over a thousand of them. âI might skip a few.â
âI donât blame you.â
Remus all but cackled and opened the first document.
An hour later he was almost in tears, the content of the files more painful and horrifying than he could ever have thought. He felt the way Logan had been pulling away with each entry, fading from the world as his hope was taken over by despair, like a growing shadow reaching out and blanketing him with its slick and sticky fingers, an oil spill too thick to escape. He saw how exhausted he was from the phrasing of his words, the loss of formality and scientific data, turning this into more of a journal rather than a log book.
âHow could you ever think that this is your fault?â
Logan looked up from his wiring with a puzzled expression. âWhat?â
âYour last entryâŠâ He held out the tablet for him to see. His sexy nerd didnât even look, he just sighed and turned away.
âWhat else am I supposed to think?â
âI donât know!â Remus exclaimed, waving his arms around and almost breaking the tablet against the wall. âThat some weird black hole freak of nature just randomly did this, or maybe some eldritch horror Old One decided to have some fun just to mess with you, or that we got caught in some weird Christmas magic!â
âItâs October.â
âHalloween magic then! The spirits of the damned followed us out here and found some weird space creatures to haunt us with!â
Logan sighed and gave him a fond look, but somehow his eyes looked like deep black pits of despair. Remus dropped the tablet, ignoring the way it clattered to the floor, and removed Loganâs helmet to hold his face.
âThis isnât your fault.â
âI wish I could believe you.â
With those words, it was like every spec of joy inside him had been sucked out of him, and now his body was filled with holes like swiss cheese. He was sure that if he looked down he would find blood leaking out into spots all over his suit, and still he would have been more full than what he could see of the eyes of his heart.
âLo...â he started, rubbing his gloved thumb over a smooth cheek, wishing he could be touching him in truth, but then the moment was interrupted by a blaring alarm.
Logan looked slowly up at the ceiling. âA meetingâs been called.â
âShit,â Remus said, his eyes also drawn skyward (or ceiling-ward, since there was no real atmosphere, just what the Stationâs system along with a nearby giant planet had provided, which made him wonder if the Imposters had ever had the thought to turn off the gravity enhancers, since that would have made travelling through the Station more difficult). âWhat happened?â
âJanus found Orange,â Logan replied, and he pulled himself to his feet, pulling his helmet up with him. âHeâll be dead in Storage.â
âShit,â Remus said again, thinking of the boxes and fuel tank they had passed and imagined them splattered with wet red streaks, or a pool beneath a pile of limbs and body parts. He gathered his own helmet and tablet and scrambled after his partner, who was already heading out the door. âItâll be Roman and Virgil again then.â
âYes,â Logan agreed.
âWhat do we do?â
Logan sighed. Again. âThereâs nothing we can do.â
Remus made to argue, but Patton had caught up with them and he was forced to keep himself in check, though it was like holding back a tsunami with a bucket, and the town was already flooded and filled with bloated corpses. Patton was curious about what the âfuss was all aboutâ, of course, and while Remus did say that someone had died, the peppy man took it as a joke and waved him off. That is, he did until the meeting.
Remus had seen a corpse or two before. Well, heâd seen more than just two, and even made a few thanks to his time in the military (and if he had a dollar for every person who didnât believe him he would have been able to fund his medical training instead of having to sign up -- heâd be a millionaire for every look he got about the fact that he was a certified surgeon), but it was never easy. Sure, he liked to pretend everything was alright, being nonchalant and his usual brand of unsettling, but that body had once been alive and breathing, and now all it was doing was shitting itself and starting to decompose. It didnât help that this was a friend rather than a nameless nobody.
They put Orange in one of the cryo pods, freezing him up like a chicken ready to be put in a microwave, though from the way Roman and Virgil were acting, there wouldnât be a later.
Had he not known, had he been focused solely on the death they had been forced to face, he would not have seen the way Virgil was decidedly not having a panic attack, far too calm for the way his anxiety would play up, and Roman swept all emotions under the rug after a minute or two, after everyone had become more occupied with other things. Well, after Janus and Patton became more occupied, that is.
Logan was almost listless, watching the proceedings blankly, a little pale, but otherwise drifting into a state of ghoulishness that made Remus wonder if he was going to turn around and eat one of them (but then he remembered that the ones who were likely to eat him had already killed someone, and they werenât Logan). That left Remus to watch the pair like a hawk.
There was no other outward sign that they had changed at all, though the personality shift would have been enough in ordinary circumstances. Subtlety wasnât exactly his strong suit though, and he knew that the Roman Imposter had taken note. It was obvious in the way it made his brotherâs body stiffen, and the twitch of those once familiar fingers.
âShouldnât we sti-stick together?â Patton was saying, his voice wobbling as he kept close to the Virgil Imposterâs side (who was taking advantage of the attention by keeping a hold on his arm, ready to drag him off into a dark corner and tear him to pieces no doubt).
âWhat if itâs one of us?â Jany asked, looking between each of them with suspicion, which made Remus love his friend just a little more. Heâd always been a suspicious asshole, but now it was working overtime, and with good reason.
âHow could it be?â Patton asked with a nervous laugh. âWeâre all friends! Weâve known each other for years!â
âAnd yet Orange is still dead.â
Patton gulped and shrunk in on himself.
Janus sighed, a look of guilt passing over him, but it was quickly squashed. âMaybe we donât know each other as well as we thought.â
âThat, or weâve got some imposters among us,â Remus said, glaring in accusation at the thing wearing his brother as a meat suit. It frowned back at him, but he saw the flash of surprise.
âThatâs ridiculous,â the Roman-suit scoffed.
âIs it?â Remus asked.
âYes!â
âWhy donât we just⊠find out if thereâs anyone else here first?â fake-Virgil suggested. âThereâs a way to do that, right?â
âOnly in the terms of being able to see where each of the active suits are in the Station,â Logan replied, and Remus stepped closer to his side when he realised how lifeless he sounded compared to everyone else. How broken. How suspicious.
Janus narrowed his eyes at the both of them, but turned back to the conversation. âThatâs so useful.â
âIs there no other way to check?â Patton asked.
âWe could look,â Roman-suit said.
Remus snorted, hoping his boogers would shoot from his nose and hit the Roman-suit. Maybe theyâd be like a caustic acid to them and burn through their skin and it would scream and die in agony. âThey could also move and stalk us.â
Patton hugged himself, looking daunted. âThen⊠ThenâŠâ
âWhat if we fix everything?â fake-Virgil asked. âWould that help?â
Logan sighed, and Remus knew from that expression that theyâd already had this conversation before. âItâs possible, though unlikely.â
âPossibleâs better than nothing.â
âWe should do that then,â Roman-suit said with a decisive nod, and Remus almost scowled at him, but just barely held himself back.
âSplit up?â he said instead, face twisting in disgust instead which was almost as good as a scowl, but not quite as good since he was regularly disgusted by his brother.
âThe sooner we get things done, the sooner itâll be over,â Roman-suit said (and he really needed to think of a better name than âRoman-suitâ).
âYouâre acting like youâve never watched a horror movie! And I know you have because I made you sit through one until you ran off screaming like a baby,â Remus said, pointing an accusing finger at Roman-suit.
âWell what else would you suggest?!â
âNot this!â
âBoys!â
Remus blinked in surprise as he and the Roman-thing turned to look at Patton, who was looking between them in exasperation. Wow, little pappy Patton had some lungs! How long could he hold his breath for?
The man in cyan blue sighed and looked between them, then at Logan, Janus and not-Virgil in turn. âWe should vote on it.â
Janus snorted but gave a nod. âItâs an even numberâŠâ
âDoesnât matter,â Logan said and his flat tone had Remus back at his side in a second. âNo matter what we choose itâll be wrong.â
âLogan-â Patton started, but Remus touched his belovedâs cheek and shook his head.
âIt could be different this time.â
âThis time?â he heard fake-Virgil ask behind him, but all he could focus on were the voids of Loganâs eyes, where even the despair was beginning to fade.
âYou always say that.â
Remus wanted something to say to that, some way to bring life back to those dying eyes, to fan the flames of passion that had once thrived there, but even had he been able to think of something he was given no chance to.
His head came close to making contact with the floor as the surprise of Loganâs push almost kept him from reacting, but he managed to catch himself with his elbows. But then came the gasp, and the horrifyingly familiar sound of someone choking on blood.
He knew who it was -- how could he not -- and for a brief moment he let grief consume him, chewing precious pieces of him he had never let anyone see into chum and feeding it to the vicious beasts of rage that flooded the spaces that were left. He didnât need to look to know, but he did anyway.
Logan had been pierced by several sharpened tentacle-like appendages, the fleshy weapons leaving a shower of blood scattered across the wall behind the man they had so brutally murdered as the creature they had come from sneered at Remus. Logan, the man of his dreams, his bleeding heart, wheezed. Remus could see that his lungs were likely shredded, his liver punctured, intestines ready to spill out of the hole that would be left behind⊠No, he had to stop looking at that now. Logan was dead, even if he still breathed. There were others who needed help.
âRemusâŠâ the scientist choked, and that was all the additional motivation he needed.
He all but pounced from the floor, dashing past the Roman-suit that was pinning his better half to the wall and tackled Patton, hefting him over his shoulder as fake-Virgilâs body split in two with a wet tearing noise, revealing rows upon rows of teeth.
âJanus!â he cried, and the man in yellow shook himself from his stupor and fled in the opposite direction. Remus hoped that he would be able to survive long enough for them to meet again, but he had other things to worry about; like the horror of a mouth that was reaching out to take a bite of him and the stiff body in his arms.
Logan choked again, the gasps his flooded longs made tempting Remus turn around, but he didnât. He couldnât spare time for the dying, no matter who they were.
âVir-Virgil?â Patton stuttered from his shoulder, even as Remus ran from the scene, trying to remember the rooms without vents.
An inhuman scream of rage followed them, winding through the corridors as he headed for the Oxygen room and dropped Patton unceremoniously on the ground. He could hear the imposters gaining ground on them, and he could only hope that Janus got somewhere safe before he pulled out his tablet. The screen was almost severely damaged, but he somehow managed to get the doors closed, and not a moment too soon.
The entire room shuddered, equipment and all, as one of the somethings collided with the door, and Remus took an instinctive step back, spreading his arms out in a futile attempt to protect Patton.
âCan you deadbolt the door, Pops?â he asked, gaze never leaving the door which was likely moments away from being rent asunder.
âWhat?â came the quiet, fearful voice of their navigator. âI⊠I think so.â
âThen do it,â Remus commanded, eyes remaining on the door.
âO-okay.â
Remus tensed further when the room shook again with another hit, but he exhaled in relief when he heard Patton tap away at his tablet. It would be useless in the end, he knew, but even a little distraction would prevent complete panic, and he couldnât have that.
And then the banging stopped.
Remus blinked in surprise, but he wouldnât be fooled; heâd seen enough horror movies to keep himself from falling for this trick.
âOh brother mine.â
Remus growled. âWhatever you are, youâre not my brother.â
Roman-suit chuckled through the door. âWhy donât you come out here, Dukey--â
âYou donât get to use that name!â
There was a pause, and then the room flashed red as an alarm blared.
âDukey,â the imposter cooed. âItâs time to come out now.â
âThatâs the reactor,â Patton said, tears evident in his voice.
âShit,â Remus muttered, eyes flying everywhere to try to find an out, and the imposter laughed.
âRe-Remus?â Patton said, and all Remus could do was stare at him as all the hope drained from him. Patton crumpled a moment later and started sobbing.
Doing the only thing he could think of, Remus knelt done next to him and cradled him in his arms. As the voice counted down, he tried to pretend that it was Logan in his arms, but even the burn of the oxygen tanks exploding through him couldnât make the lie anymore believable.
_______________________________
Day 2
Remus shot up with a gasp, clutching at the shirt section of his latex jumpsuit as his fingers instinctively clutched at the edge of⊠his cryopod? He blinked, looked from side to side and rubbed at his eyes. He was in the cryochamber, in the shuttle. He was in the giant dildo freezer, he was alive, andâŠ
In his rush to look over to his right he made himself dizzy and, before he knew it, heâd fallen out of his coffin with a breathless âoofâ.
â... You okay?â
Remusâs breath caught in his throat, threatening to choke him, but he pulled himself closer to the second pod with a groan and pulled himself up.
Logan looked up at him, slightly amused but so very exhausted, and very much alive.

Why Veronica Mars Wonât Have a Season 5
My introduction to Veronica Mars came in the midst of my fatherâs death. I watched episodes in hospital waiting rooms before it happened, and holed up in my room afterwards. I found a lot of comfort in the strength that the characters provided. The scene of Logan at his motherâs funeral - maniac and trying to find the humor in it - is exactly what I felt at my fatherâs. I, like Logan, made jokes and tried shrugging it off. I was certain that this was some sort of cosmic joke, and I was on the receiving end. Veronicaâs personality shaped most of who I was in high school - my dad passed away two weeks before I started. Her snark, intelligence, and resilience inspired me so much then. I found a wonderful community with fans of the show, and to this day as a semi-adult I love and adore so many people I met through the show.
When the movie was announced, I was ecstatic. I remember rushing to a bathroom stall at my high school so I could eloquently keyboard-smash about it with my friends, donating to the Kickstarter, wearing my t-shirt, going to the theater with my friend to watch it and livestreaming it the night of its release with my online friends. In a sea of horrible feelings and helplessness, Veronica Mars helped me feel empowered and supported.
Thatâs partly why all of this stings so badly and feels so much like a betrayal.
Logan Echolls fits into a lot of tropes Iâve grown to hate as a self-identified feminist who has zero time for bad boys. Men who âatone for their sinsâ to get with a leading heroine are ones I often find boring - so often theyâre executed poorly and their past mistakes would be absolutely unforgivable in a real context. Chuck Bass, Damon Salvatore, Spike, et. all are characters Iâm tired of seeing in fiction. Logan Echolls organized a bum fight, took out Veronicaâs headlights, burned down a community pool, made a series of racist comments to Weevil, and generally had moments of being the absolute worst. But for some weird reason, I have a massive soft spot for Logan and heâs become one of my favorite fictional characters.
Maybe itâs because weâve seen him go through much, change so much over the course of the show. Maybe itâs because the show actually held him accountable (as well as Veronica) so the redemption didnât feel cheap or unearned. Or maybe itâs because Iâm just a weak heterosexual hypnotized by Jason Dohringâs abs and my feminism only goes so far as who I think is hot. I hope itâs not the last one, but Iâm sure some would argue it is! The point is -- healthy, going-to-therapy Logan feels earned after the deaths of his parents, his abusive dad killing his girlfriend, numerous beatings, and too many near death experiences to count. Logan went from being an obligatory psychotic jackass to a fairly well-adjusted boyfriend in a way that made narrative sense.
His offscreen death right after getting married to the love of his life? Not so much. Â
The thing that stings about Veronica Marsâ final episode is not just Loganâs death - itâs what it means for the show going forward, especially its titular character. What made Veronica lovable was not her toughness as Loganâs final voicemail details. As season 3 Logan reminds us, Veronica isnât invincible and she isnât always right. What made her such a compelling character was what was underneath that toughness, and the people around her that highlighted that warmth buried underneath layers of trauma. In other words, what made her a marshmallow. Burnt on the outside, but gooey on the inside, as Wallace describes her in the pilot.
When we meet Veronica in the pilot, sheâs been through a litany of traumas: her best friendâs death, a breakup, sexual assault and drugging, social ostracization, her motherâs addiction and swift exit from her life, a swift drop in socioeconomic status, and routine humiliation at the hands of her peers. But in spite of all of that, sheâs still the girl that cuts Wallace down from the flag because itâs the right thing to do. Sheâs still the girl that worries about her father, has sympathy for Logan after his motherâs death despite all of his cruelty, defends and comforts Meg Manning after she endures the same bullying Veronica did, cares (often, initially unwillingly) about the people whose cases she takes, and bakes cookies for her friend after his basketball game just because. Even as recently as the books, Veronica bakes a cake for her terrible, abandoning mother on her birthday in spite of her replacing her and Keith with another family. She looks after her half-brother Hunter, even if heâs a painful reminder of her motherâs foibles. Veronica isnât nearly as tough as she pretends to be, and thatâs a good thing. Thatâs what makes her interesting and stops her from being like every other cynical hardboiled detective trope.
The people around Veronica - who support her, evolve with her, and serve as contrasts to her - are what help make her story so compelling. People who can tell her when sheâs wrong (Logan, Keith, Weevil, et. all), who remind her of her soft side (Keith, Wallace, Mac, Logan), who can stop her from turning into a noir stereotype and cement her as Veronica Mars. People arenât tuning in just to see Veronica snark at random side characters. Her personal journey in moving past her trauma and her relationships with other characters are what really makes the character who she is.Â
Her journey, from the pilot episode to the movie, is realizing that she canât just shove down and run away from her trauma. Over the course of her show, we see her form bonds with people in spite of her attempts not to - Wallace, Mac, Logan, and a variety of others. They help her, support her, and challenge her in ways that only serve to make her story more interesting. In the movie, we see Veronica realize she canât keep running and she doesnât want a cushy life as a New York lawyer with a boyfriend who doesnât understand why she cares so much about what happens in her hometown. Neptune, as corrupt and corroded as it is, is her hometown.Â
Thatâs why itâs such a spectacular slap in the face for the end of season 4 to offer the exact opposite. Veronica loses her husband (after finally evolving from the Veronica in the pilot who swore she was never getting married because she was so cynical about relationships) immediately after marriage. She leaves behind Keith, Wallace, and everyone else to chase unknown cases with unknown people in unknown places. As Rob has said, he saw this as the only way for Veronica to continue to be interesting - roaming the world solo as if sheâs Sherlock Holmes.
This is not character progression. This is not driving the plot forward. This is regressing to a character to a point even before the pilot episode - a hardened Veronica who pretends she doesnât care, who uses her trauma as an armour, and keeps people away from her. It undermines the central message of the movie - that Neptune is her home and in spite of her problems, sheâs willing to fight for it. By killing Logan, Rob wanted to kill Veronicaâs ties to Neptune. This isnât an evolution - itâs a devolution.Â
Rob Thomas has offered this option before - a Veronica exit vehicle sans everyone else, including only Kristen Bell snarking at a camera - in the form of the last-ditch FBI pilot. It was not well received by fans nor networks, and unsurprisingly not picked up or seen anywhere other than a reposting on YouTube. I think if he sincerely expects any other result from a similar future attempt, heâs lying to himself.Â
If Rob Thomas wanted the male character-centric P.I. noir he initially planned on writing rather than Veronica Mars, he should have written that rather than allowed it to take over the Veronica Mars universe. Writing a woman with the same elements of toxic masculinity as male characters (a complete disregard for their own feelings, ripping themselves away from personal connections, framing âtoughnessâ as superior and emotional development as a waste of time) is not feminism - itâs just lazy. âStrong female charactersâ donât have to be made strong by undergoing trauma after trauma and shutting down until theyâre a shadow of their former selves. Their male counterparts arenât expected to have to deal with rape, death, ostracization, and every other possible form of trauma - women sure as hell shouldnât.Â
Furthermore, the way that Rob Thomas has framed his fanbase is shameful. Veronica Mars fans arenât just deranged fangirls too obsessed with Jason Dohringâs abs to care about the health of the story. This isnât ânot what we wanted, but what we neededâ - weâre not an audience too stupid to know whatâs good for us. Weâre an intelligent audience when weâre giving the showrunners money, but when weâre disagreeing with the writing choices weâre just too invested in romance to âget itâ. Predictably, these fans (who make up most of Veronica Marsâ fanbase that the showrunners claim to adore so much) are women. For decades, women have been stereotyped as media-consumers that only care about romance and thus canât care about depth as if the two are mutually exclusive. This stereotype is incredibly sexist, especially given what this fanbase in particular has done for this franchise, and the continued insistence that these fans just donât know whatâs good for them or the show is incredibly condescending and transparent.
This fanbase poured $6 million dollars into a Kickstarter for a money, maintained energy for a revival and actively lobbied streaming services and networks for a continuation, and kept the fandom twelve years after the finale episode of its original incarnation aired. As much as some may resent how fan energy encouraged writers to see Logan evolve, or Logan and Veronica to sort out their issues, or anything else - these were choices the writers made and stood by for years. A sudden U-Turn in storytelling to go from âthe fans were right, this dynamic is wonderful and weâre going to base our advertising around it!â to âwell, it was never supposed to be about thatâ is a kick to the teeth to a fanbase that (literally!) gave so much.Â
Itâs not as if this is the first time the fanbase has been disappointed by a writing decision. Speaking for myself, I was heavily disappointed by the way sexual assault was handled on the original incarnation of the show. Veronicaâs rape was handled by at first not framing it as a sexual assault at all in âA Trip to the Dentistâ - Duncan Kane (her ex-boyfriend/potential half-brother at some point in time) having sex with her while she was unconcious was framed as just âfeelings and nature taking overâ because he was under the influence. In season 3, the writers decided that framing women protesting sexual assault on campus as deranged feminists who sexually assault men by inserting them with Easter eggs was a good choice. That Easter egg part was played for laughs by the show, writers, and leading cast member.Â
Even the inclusion of Dick Casablancas for laughs - whose GHB was intended for his girlfriend and ended up in Veronicaâs cup - doesnât feel right. Ryan Hansenâs charm explains a lot of it, but the show seems to place a lot more blame on Madison for Veronicaâs rape despite the fact she narrowly escaped the same fate at Dickâs hands. I was disappointed then, and Iâm still disappointed with it now - far away from any romantic concerns of the show.
And my biggest problem with the ending of season 4 isnât just that Logan is dead. Iâm incredibly crushed and disappointed to see all of that character development be met with an offscreen car-bomb, but it doesnât bode well for Veronicaâs characterization and ultimate arc either. I fell in love with Veronicaâs character first, and I donât even recognize her anymore.
If the movie was a thank you to the marshmallows (both the fans and Veronicaâs inner softness), the ending of the show was a middle finger to both. If the lesson from the series and the film is that you fight for things because theyâre worth it and not because they come easily (whether they be relationships or towns), then the lesson from the revival is that the best thing to do is leave and take your bags. So much of the narrative was set up around Veronica accepting who she was and where sheâs from - and the revivalâs Veronica has finally been traumatized so much sheâs packing her bags and giving up. Thatâs not toughness. Thatâs not strength. Thatâs certainly not saving the show or the character.Â
Thatâs selling a grim story because you think itâs edgy. Thatâs trying to be subversive and failing, too focused on shock value to care about the characters. Thereâs a reason shows like Game of Thrones, Dexter, and How I Met Your Mother got such backlash -- they just donât make narrative sense and the endings are far from satisfying. Making the fans happy isnât a mark of bad storytelling, especially when the survival of your franchise has been so contingent on it. Sometimes, they actually do know what theyâre talking about! And if you want a season five, maybe donât alienate your fans to a point they donât recognize the show anymore. Rob mentioned, â...I will have made a really bad bet if, en masse, the fans turn on the show. That would certainly be a tough lesson to learn.â -- I think he accomplished that!Â
I wish the Veronica Mars that got me through the toughest parts of my life was still around. But Iâd rather say goodbye to her forever than be faced with a cheap imitation.Â

Throughout his life, Logan Echolls was known as many things: son of two movie stars, a brother, âa psychotic jackass,â a three-time murder accused, a concerned on-again off-again boyfriend, a party boy, a US Navy pilot lieutenant, a Naval Intelligence Officer, and briefly, a husband.
There were many things he was, and many things he wasnât, but when it mattered, when it all came down to it, he was loved.
Five reactions to Logan Echolls's death by people who knew different sides of him.

The thing that always drove me crazy about Veronica Mars was how the fandom back in the day always seemed to believe that Veronica âneededâ to be with Logan for forever and ever, and resisted any relationship she had that wasnât with Logan, primarily because her boyfriend was not Logan.
Like... Even before I could articulate it well, my thought process was always âVeronica is a teenager, and in a setting where she doesnât expect to be in life or death situations daily, she has time to try things out and explore her options.â This wasnât Buffy, where she would need to grab love where she found it because tomorrow the worldâs ending. Veronica Mars was a noir show, grounded in our reality, Veronica wasnât the Chosen One to stand against the darkness, she was a teenage girl who solved mysteries.
I mean, the reunion with Duncan, for example, always made sense to me - they were abruptly broken up because of a lie, she felt that there was still something there that she deserved to see through to the end. Would they have gone the distance? Not likely. But Veronica had the time and ability to see that through to when it ended, rather than just say âwell, that ended because of a lie, thatâs where weâll leave that.â She was seventeen at the time, finding her one true love and settling down with them then and there? Hell, she made fun of the people who thought like that.
Now that Iâm older, though, I can also come up with a very good reason why, as passionate and even inevitable that Veronica and Logan are, the fact is... During the series, Logan begins as an obligatory psychotic jackass, and he quickly develops a death wish. Logan spends a lot of his time looking for scenarios where heâll get beaten up or killed. Which, psychology hat on, probably stems from the shitshow of his life, the abuse from Aaron, his motherâs suicide, Lillyâs death, murdered BY his father, who was sleeping with her, and thatâs just season one AND the stuff we know about... Iâm saying I get WHY heâs like that.
But the point is, Logan Echolls, during the series, was in no position to provide any kind of stability or future for himself, let alone anyone he was in a relationship with. He NEEDED the maturation he experienced between the series and the film to be able to be someone Veronica COULD have a future with, not just some passionate rolls in the hay before he got himself killed in a back alley on the wrong side of town.
And donât mistake me, I do love them together. But as he was on the show? There was no future in a relationship with Logan, because he didnât think he had one. Logan was determined to get himself killed at that point. And Veronica? She had no obligation to be party to that. Indeed, she had an obligation TO HERSELF to get away from that, because that version of Logan would only have dragged her down with him, and itâs very clear that she knew it. By the time of the film, heâs gotten his life together, gotten HIMSELF together, is the kind of man that Veronica CAN have a future with. But he wasnât that during the show proper.

Iâve seen more than one viewing fantasy come true in 25 years of writing about television.
In 2001, I wrote a column about the Second Chance Channel. âStill mysteriously unavailable on any cable or satellite system,â it was âthe place to go for all that television you really would have watched or taped if only the dog hadnât eaten your remote.â
Now, I can barely remember a time when we couldnât easily catch up on most shows through a video-on-demand or streaming service, on any screen we choose.
I once dreamed, too, of a TV Critics Channel, a place where the 1994-95 classic My So-Called Life wasnât canceled after just 19 episodes, and where âRoseanne never won the lottery.â
My So-Called Life, whose star, Claire Danes, grew up to play Homelandâs brilliant and unstable Carrie Mathison, never did come back.
But that lottery-free version of Roseanne did return, before its star imploded her big comeback in one racist tweet, leaving behind only ABCâs The Conners. We also got to see how Murphyâs baby, Avery, turned out, in a so-so 11th season of CBSâs Murphy Brown, and to witness the reunion of Will & Grace on NBC.
All those revivals have had their moments, but itâs a trend I think television, and TV viewers, would be better off without. Born of broadcast networksâ desperate need to mine a more successful past, it risks muddying our memories of once-great shows.
And yet now, thanks to Hulu, Veronica Mars is coming back, and I couldnât be happier. Why? Because unlike those shows, which helped define their eras, this is one whose time may finally have come.
Itâs been 12 years since its UPN/CW run ended and five since a crowdfunded movie reunited Veronica (Kristen Bell, The Good Place) with the friends and foes from her years as a teenage private investigator in a California seaside town called Neptune. On Friday, July 26, the streaming service will premiere eight new episodes.
And unlike the movie, which was fun but not nearly as strong as the series that spawned it, this new season is about more than giving longtime fans, including the ones who call themselves âMarshmallows,â what they thought they wanted.
It might even create some new fans, Veronica Mars having never been anything close to a ratings sensation in its first three seasons, which Hulu added to its library on July 1. I like a lot about the new season â including the additions of Patton Oswalt as a pizza delivery guy with a true-crime fixation and J.K. Simmons as an ex-con with big ambitions â but the best reason to watch may be to bring you back to the original, and especially to the first season, which remains its best.
Iâve never quite understood the viewers who resist high school shows even as they tolerate adolescent behavior in, say, the surgeons of Greyâs Anatomy. But I know they exist, because I spent years trying to get them to watch Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Friday Night Lights. Perhaps theyâll feel more comfortable with this older Veronica as she works to get to the bottom of a fatal spring-break bombing in her seaside hometown.
Just donât think of this as Nancy Drew, all grown up. Veronica was never Nancy Drew. And while in some sad ways she was an adult at 17, in others sheâs never quite gotten there.
From the start, the show took on some heavy emotional lifting. Music and a random Paris Hilton sighting aside, its 2004-05 first season feels very much at home in 2019.
Veronica was a rape survivor whose best friend, Lilly Kane (Amanda Seyfried), had been murdered. The case had cost her father, Keith (Enrico Colantoni), both his marriage and his job as sheriff, and had left Duncan (Teddy Dunn), Lillyâs brother â and Veronicaâs ex-boyfriend â a mess. And yet the snappy dialogue seldom flagged as Veronica Mars told stories about the people at every level of Neptuneâs stratified society, from the movie starâs son, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring), to the motorcycle gang leader Eli âWeevilïżœïżœïżœ Navarro (Francis Capra).
That the girl who once said, âYou want to know how I lost my virginity? So do I," is now a woman whose lack of trust â in people and institutions â is baked in can only make more sense when you see where she came from.
Not that everyone in Neptune is doomed to remain the person they were in high school. Veronica wasnât an unreliable narrator when she said, of Logan, long ago, that âevery school has an obligatory psychotic jackass. Heâs ours,â but she didnât then have the full story. Damage takes many forms, and the unpeeling of Logan Echollsâ psyche has always been one of the showâs most compelling story lines.
The Logan reintroduced in the 2014 movie â a naval intelligence officer who needed Veronicaâs sleuthing skills â is now again her boyfriend. More important, heâs a man whoâs been working hard on himself (and not just on the prodigious six-pack he sports in his entrance). What happens when one person in a relationship is trying to change and the other resists? Weâll see.
While itâs good to discover that Wallace Fennel (Percy Daggs III), Veronicaâs extraordinarily sane best friend from high school, is still extraordinarily sane, itâs not so much fun to see how lifeâs treated Weevil, another of Veronicaâs damaged former classmates.
Her father, still struggling with his health years after a car accident, has a story line that contrasts rich peopleâs medical care with everyone elseâs, adding a new and relatable aspect to the showâs exploration of economic inequality, and reminding us how much time really has passed, even if Bell still looks deceptively young.
Does the new Veronica Mars make a case for further adventures in Neptune? Iâm not sure.
But it does make one for going back to the beginning and getting to know, or reacquaint ourselves with, a character who always deserved more attention than she got.
Veronica Mars. Friday, July 26, Hulu.

Angels Don't All Have Wings (edited)
For @your-friendly-neighborhood-enby it's a bit dark and may not be exactly what you wanted, or the best I wrote it a long time ago and tried to fix it
-----------------------------------
A Prinxiety fanfic
3rd person POV
--------------------------------
Virgil was in the corner of his room whimpering, all because it was happening again, another anxiety attack, all because he had been yet again Roman had insulted him. This was only a big deal because he liked Roman, a lot....And Roman always insulted him, partly because he liked Virgil too, he went to far this time, he called him "the embodiment of depression" it wasn't even that mean, it was just too close to home. Virgil just could not take it. He continued scratching his arm anxiously. "Calm down, it'll be alright" said Logan to him. Logan was the only one who knew about his feelings for Roman as he was the most rational and figured it our himself "N-No....its...not...." Virgil replied struggling for breath "Falsehood. everything is going to be fine" answered Logan. Virgil then got up and locked himself in his closet shoving Logan away from him , being to depressed to talk to anyone, and every emotion and sense hitting him all at once. Roman was very affected by this as was Logan and Patton considering they could all feel each others emotions, he wasn't he having a panic attack himself but he was aware that Virgil was. So he went to his room "Virge, can I come in?" He said as he knocked ".....no....." replied Virgil, Roman came in anyway (dramatically of course). "Youre going go be okay, I swear Virgil, I'm so sorry." he said. Virgil just shook his head and continued crying.
---------------------------------
A/N
I wrote this so long ago it's not very good and there is a lot of grammar errors I figured I'd update it, considering it was Tomxiety originally. Also Trigger Warning Dont read, if depression, angst, or low self esteem are bad topics for you. Virgil scratching into his arm, scratching is one of the anxiety tics I have.
---------------------------------
Roman's POV
Roman looked over to Virgil, still sobbing violently. Roman walked over to sit on the bed next to virgil. Virgil backed up flinching away Roman got closer. "Shh its fine virgil, it's fine I just need to check your arm. Logan might have to bandage it, is it okay if he comes in." Virgil nodded slightly "I'll talk to the dad (patton) later, only Logan can come in." Virgil said his crying subsiding somewhat. Almost on cue Logan walked in completely stone faced. He had not known of virgil's anxety, or at least how major it is, or his scratching although he had his suspicions. "They hate you. Hes only here to make fun of you. Logan hates you. Roman will never think about you like that. Your FAT and UGLY and WORTHLESS and NOONE will ever want you." Virgil mentally screamed at himself, believing every word of this silent mantra. This only made him more upset and it visible to the others. He pulled his hoodie tighter around his arms and already thin body. Roman suddenly blurt out being as hot tempered and blunt as ever "Virge, Why? We all care about you? How could you do this to us? To yourself? Roman was practically screaming. Virgil flinched at the sound of his voice. "Can I be alone? For just a minute? I'll be fine. " Virgil said pausing slightly on the last word. "Alright, Virgil, Roman and I will be back soon, Roman come with me I must speak with you." Logan stated matter-of-factly.
----------------------------------
Logan's POV
As soon as Roman and I left Virgils room I immediately lost it, my rage at Roman had been boiling since the first time he insulted Virgil. As I saw that it was affecting him. "Roman, do you have any sense at all?" I said utterly deadpan "What do you mean Logan? He said as clueless as ever "Clearly you have no sense, you can see how broken he is and you start yelling at him? Sensible people don't so that! He's as bad as he is right now because of you Roman!" I yelled my voice escalating with my temper "what do you mean...because of me?" Roman asked "Your insults, your snide remarks, you act like his very existence repulses you. Its been building up, I found his journal. It has multiple notes in it, letters, sketches, mostly about you. Love letters. Roman. This is bad, can't you see you're hurting him? ." I said my voice getting softer. Roman looked gaunt. "On my...I didn't realise it was.....I need to apologize. We both bolted down the hall to virgils room, Roman picked the lock on the door, and swung it open. While I went downstairs to inform Patton of the situation. Things looked bad. This panic attack was major, Virgil's anxiety and depression, shifting majorly.
----------------------------------
Virgils POV
I tried to sit on that bed and stay like I told Roman and Logan I would. I told them I would be fine, I promised them nothing would happen. I can do this I can do this I'll be fine I can do this I'll be fine. I sliently repeated this in my head over and over again, forcing myself to not grab the sword and slice. My mom used to say angels watched over me. Where are they now? Everything was starting to sink in. I hardly heard the door open and Roman yelling. I felt nothing.
-----------------------------------
3rd person POV
Virgil awoke in an hospital room, "hello?" He shouted trying to figure out if he was dead. "Virge, you're awake, you scared me." Roman cried he worried about me? Nonono I should be dead "why were you scared, why do you care whether I'm alive or not." Said virgil with an attempt at sounding rude but sounding scared and sad instead. Roman looked crestfallen "Why wouldn't I care, virgil I care a lot about you, so for the others. I love you. We love you." Roman explained. Virgil had a hard time processing this he loves me....but not like that...no one could love me like that. Roman blinked rapidly at virgils starstuck features. He put a hand on his shoulder "Virge may I ask why you did this?" He asked fearing Logan had been right "y...you Roman. Because of your insults....I couldn't handle it .....because I love you.....Like love love you." Virgil looked at the ground. Roman looked up "I love you virge. Like love love you. I've always had feeling for you I just tried to pretend I didn't care." Roman looked embarrassed. Before virgil could think he slowly pressed his lips to Roman's, they kissed for a while until...."ahem" was the sound that came from Logan, who was with Patton to see their "dark strange son" and by association his new boyfriend. Roman was like virgil's angel, an angel without wings.
Fin.
-----------------------------------
If you didn't get it. I shifted what there was, and edited it to where Virgil has a psychotic break, and broke down, instead of what there originally was.
