"Vineyard Valentine" is inarguably the most despised episode of Gilmore Girls, I haven't seen it in years and remember nothing. I'm in the mood for a little Hate Watch.
I've been sufficiently warned. Godspeed, SaltyGilmores.
Minute 10 Update: This show is SO DULL WITHOUT DEAN AND JESS. May the merciful gods of fictional teen dramas forgive me for saying that I miss Dean's shenanigans. Rory insists that Lorelai will "have her wedding". Lorelai Gilmore, did not in fact, have her wedding. I find myself saying eh, Logan is kinda cute I guess? The Logan Slogan: "At Least He's Not Dean" Lorelai says Luke ranted about how Valentine's Day is a corporate greeting card holiday and I'm bummed I did not get to hear the full nuclear rant. Rory's associate at the Yale paper points out that they accidentally printed "S&M" in the paper, and Rory says that's funny, pretending she knows what S&M is. Minute 15 Update: After Lorelai sees this word "spermaceti" in a brochure, she makes like 7 jokes about it over the course of minutes. She also thinks the name "Gay Head" is just deliriously funny. Luke wants to know "where we (he and Lorelai) stand" with his girlfriend's daughter's boyfriend, because that's a normal thing to be concerned about. Luke expresses concern that Rory and Logan might break up during the trip and that their noisy sex (!!!) will keep him awake at night. Some grainy old footage of a seashore that may or may not actually be Martha's Vineyard flashes across the screen, so we feel like we're right there in the middle of the impending shit show with our favorite characters. Minute 20 Update: For the second time, Luke expresses concern that he's going to hear Rory and Logan going at it like wild dogs. Out in the living room, no less. Luke says "okuh" (TWICE!) in a way that would make his nephew proud. Rory tells Lorelai, "its a little weird being in a foursome." Luke makes an incredibly weak pitch to Lorelai about how she's not concerned that Logan "embarrasses Rory". She reacts with a shrug. Luke packed a giant knife in his suitcase, not unlike his nephew before going on one of his killing sprees. Lorelai asks Luke why he packed a "back country" bag full of wilderness supply and he replies "he didn't know what this weekend was". Um? At what point did this show turn Luke into such a drooling moron that he doesn't even know what a beach is? Jesus on crackers and toast. Things Luke is unhappy about: Real estate prices, the temperature, the waves are too loud, the beach smells like sewage. Luke threatens to filet a noisy racoon with his giant murder knife. Minute 25 Update: Rory and Logan like to hit the gym, even though I have no memory of Rory mentioning going to a gym any other time in the entire 7 years this show was on the air and in fact the idea of Rory Gilmore happily and voluntarily working out a a gym is one of the most implausible things I've ever dang heard. However, when we see Lorelai and Rory visit the gym a moment later, it appears that Rory in fact goes to the gym to do nothing except drink cucumber water and look bewildered at the equipment. Lorelai says, "boy, I'm going to be sore in the morning!"
Luke and Logan play basketball. Logan is concerned Luke's shoes don't fit him properly. Luke is suddenly bedecked in head to toe Martha's Vineyard merchandise, and nothing says "Luke Danes" like overpriced merchandise bedecked with logos advertising the name of a town that makes him cranky (Lorelai makes an observation about this). Luke and Logan arrive to find Rory and Lorelai getting shoulder massages from two randos. Lorelai's rando looks like a Dollar Store Luke and Rory's looks like a Dollar Store Hunts Burger. Luke complains that his shoes are smelly after playing sports. Luke goes on an uninspired rant about his shoddily constructed pants and in the vaguest terms, how Logan is sorta annoying. He really needs Jess to show up and raise that blood pressure. Lorelai finds Rory in the kitchen preparing a salad and mashed potatoes. Lorelai says "I don't like to see food being made behind the scenes, yuck!" even though she’s worked at a bed and breakfast for years, her best friend is a chef and she's always in her kitchen getting in her way. Lorelai cannot identify a garlic press, a lemon zester, or a potato masher. Luke says he's never had lobster before. Feels a bit hard to believe. Whatever. He should go on a nuclear rant on the evils of the commercial lobster industry or something and get that blood pressure up. I am so bored. Minute 30 Mark: I am so bored. It's so off putting to see Lorelai being supportive and keeping her nose out of Rory's relationships, and she isn't trying to wiggle into her daughter's boyfriend's pants. I just realized Logan has done nothing in 30 minutes. Luke didn’t buy Lorelai a Valentine's Day gift. Logan bought Rory two pieces of jewelry and offers Luke one to give to Lorelai. He reluctantly accepts the necklace from Logan. The fearsome foursome sit down to dinner where Logan presents Rory with the bracelet. Luke presents Lorelai with the necklace. I make a prediction that Lorelai will notice the identical boxes and realize the necklace and bracelet are from the same store and figure out that Luke forgot VDay and went shopping last minute, then awkwardness will ensue. I am incorrect. Lorelai does remark that the pieces look similar, but Logan covers for Luke and says they went shopping together at the same store. Sure, whatever. The girls appear to fall for the ruse. Luke LOVES lobster. It kick's salmon's ass, it kick's tuna's ass. Luke wants to find a "Good lobster place nears Stars Hollow". Luke begs Lorelai to recommend a place that serves lobster (um. what about the place where she works? probably?) L&L (Luke and Lobster) forever. Lorelai is in bed playing with the necklace. Luke without a hat. Lorelai again laments that their wedding will never come to fruition and Luke assures her it totally will! Blah blah blah, Lorelai sad. Lorelai laments that she lost the deposits that she put down for the wedding. Luke Moneybags Danes says that's okay we'll just pay for everything a second time. Their financial future is bright. Luke and Lorelai saying I love you, kissing and having breakfast in bed? Dang, Season 6 feels so foriegn to me. The next morning in bed after some vigorous lovemaking that kept Logan and Rory up all night, they are discussing a place called Harvey's Beach, it's not clear where this beach is but they've both been there as teenagers, and at this beach Liz smoked someone's used cigarette she found behind a concession stand. That's our Liz. Luke claims to have not visited a beach since he was 18. I was about to hit my MINOR PLOTHOLE ALARM button as Lorelai once said she went swimming with Luke but it turns out she said the lake and not the ocean. I retract my alarm. Minute 35 mark: While Lorelai and Luke are lounging in bed, Mitchum Huntzberger barges through the door. Logan and Mitchum scream at each other. I do not care enough about these characters to care one iota about this. Not even half an iota. I cannot get over Scott's hair here, for some reason. The many varied ways the style team have attempted to disguise his thinning hair, it amuses me.
Four minutes to go. I shall render my verdict shortly. Nothing's happening, nothing's happening, Skip, skip, skip to my loo my darling...
Is Mitchum sending Logan on a top secret spy mission? Maybe. I dont know. Logan's going to London. Eventually. Well, nice knowing ya pal. Logan gives Rory the keys to the Porsche which seems like a pretty terrible idea. Luke returns home in a curiously chipper mood, I guess he and Lorelai snuck in a quickie before they went home. Or during the trip home. Everyone in Stars Hollow would be in a much better mood if they could just get laid once in a while. Lorelai compliments Luke's ass. Emily put a wedding in announcement in the paper. Lorelai just happens to have a copy of that paper sitting next to the answering machine as she plays the message. Salty is ready to render her verdict. Ahem. THIS is the worst episode of the entire series? THIS ONE? REALLY?? REALLY REALLY? Come on, people. I was warned I had to be drunk to watch this episode. Love you @frazzledsoul. Happy birthday. I really think I should be passed out drunk while watching much of the second and third season, to be quite honest. Lost and Found? There's the Rub? Teach me Tonight? Those episodes are where I truly suffer. I finished the episode in one sitting, and at no point was I enraged nor mildly perturbed, distressed, annoyed, peeved or po'd. My blood pressure remained true and steady. Season 6 is a full on shit circus and this is not just the worst episode of the season but the whole SHOW? Damn it that episode was SO DULL AND BORING and downright PLEASANT AND I ENJOYED IT OKAY! Hmmph. Luke was whiny, but it was so minor it didn't even register. (you know who is really a whiny little bitch? Randall Pearson). Where was that bracelet thing going? I was expecting Lorelai to realize that Luke forgot to buy her a Valentine's Day gift. Nothing happened. At all. Ever. Logan contributed nothing. He was perfectly tolerable. Rory didn't annoy me. Lorelai didn't even annoy me! Except for her stupid sperm jokes! All of the drama happened in the last 4 minutes. The ridiculous plot holes and silly details made me smile. The Luke and Logan dopplegangers, Luke saying Okuh and packing a hunting kinfe in his suitcase, some new Liz lore, NO APRIL, god I hate April! I loved it. I give it a B-. Salty out.

It's so frustrating how people want to blame everything on Rory. Everything that went wrong in her relationships people want to fully blame on Rory.
I have literally been seeing people say things like "When Rory said no to Logan I was done with her after that" or when Dean was yelling at Rory in front of Paris saying "She deserved it" and I saw someone blaming Rory for everything that went wrong in her relationship with Dean and how "horrible" she treated him. I've even seen a lot of people say "I hate Rory for saying no to Jess" or will say "Rory actually cheated on Logan and she hurt Jess"
First of all Rory is not obligated to say yes to Logan if she wasn't ready to get married that is perfectly okay and Understandable. She also wasn't obligated to be with Jess I love that boy but he really hurt her and she had every right to say no to to wanting to run away with him. They both needed time to grow and that absolutely was not the right time.
Dean had no right to yell at Rory. He wouldn't even let her explain herself, Dean was always yelling at Rory and never let her explain herself anytime. He completely ignored her wanting space and to have a night to herself and the reason she lied was clearly because she was terrified to make him mad because she was so used to him blowing up on her all the time. That was her literally walking on egg shells around him not because she was trying to cheat on him. I don't care what Rory did his actions were not okay. Y'all Rory anti's let your hatred of her cloud your judgement.
People will say how terrible Rory treated Dean because "she was stringing him along and cheated on him with Jess" if anything she tried to force herself not to have feelings for Jess and when she kissed him it was an impulse she didn't mean to do it have you never been young before and been in a relationship and got feelings for someone else? Like that's totally a normal teenager thing that most teenagers experience. She didn't know how to get out of her first relationship which is so very real for a lot of people, and not to mention how much Lorelai loved Dean. Rory never had any intentions of cheating on Dean but his actions pushed her away with being possessive and explosive all the time!
Don't even get me started on the people that try to say Rory cheated on Logan please he literally slept with an entire bridal party and invalidated her feelings and gaslit her over the whole thing I don't want to hear a word about how she kissed Jess when Logan hooked up with a bunch of girls behind Rory's back and completely disregard how she felt! Rory didn't mean to hurt Jess either she cares so much for him but she also still has feelings for Logan and at least she felt bad about it, Logan didn't even feel bad about what he did or care that he hurt her!
It feels like people put Rory into this box and when she doesn't act in a way that they want her too they get mad and instantly hate her like she's not aloud to make mistakes otherwise she's horrible but if she didn't make mistakes and did everything perfectly people would say she was boring and unrealistic. I don't get it yes Rory made mistakes like all of the characters but she does not deserve the hate she gets from the fandom and I stand by that! I'm so over to Rory hate!

This is just the kind of stuff I despise! When people decide to hate on Rory based on what they would have done differently with their favorite Rory love interest!! This made me so mad! She's not smart because she wasn't ready to get married at 22?!?! How about she's never seen her mother in a marriage at this point other than towards her dad and she JUST saw how that ended. So maybe she had some hesitancy there because she wanted to make sure it was truly RIGHT before getting married?! Maybe she wanted to have more life experiences before getting married?! And I don't know have you seen the Huntsberger family and the way that they treat Rory?! They never wanted her to be in their family anyways and that would make her always tied to them! Do you ever think that maybe she wasn't ready to get married because the year prior he slept with an entire bridal party and she was still hesitant to trust him all the way and how he didn't even allow her to be upset about it he just invalidated her so she just pushed it down after he almost died?! Rory is smart she got into three different IVY LEAGUE schools!! She worked her butt off to get their! Just because someone isn't ready to get married at 22 doesn't mean she isn't smart! They weren't even living together most of the time the last part of their relationship they were long distance so they really didn't live together all that long before they were long distance if you think about it. Also did you not see how Logan was acting after he blew away his daddy's company?! Coming home late and drunk and treating her like crap not communicating with her and instead doing other immature things and have her fix his battles for him?! Logan TOLD her he would factor her in to whatever she wanted to do just PRIOR to this big surprise proposal then all of a sudden he is like what's the point to their relationship?! They never even talked about if they wanted to get married! So does that mean that you think other people who don't accept a proposal at 22 because they aren't ready to get married are stupid too?! 22 is super young, and if she wasn't ready to get married that is that IS okay!! I'm so tired of this Rory hate! They find so many things to hate her for and it's so dumb, and it makes me so upset how harshly they treat her! 😠
can people stop hating on rory? just because she & logan lived together (also let’s remember that half the time he was in london anyway, so it’s not really “living” together, and half of their relationship she even lived in her grandparents pool’s house / her dorms when they just started dating / even came back to paris’s place for a while) doesn’t mean she was ready to get married at 22. “the more i watched this show i realize rory was hardworking & not smart at all” hm sorry idk how that works but i assume that to get into 3 ivy leagues schools you got to be smart, right? she got into harvard! she got into yale! she got into princeton! rory gilmore is smart. “she rejected the love of her life just so she could travel a little” well, she was 22, she is allowed to say no. god forbid’s rory gilmore has opinions of her own, right?

I don't have any other pictures of this tattoos, but here is my Gilmore Girls tattoo.
It's in reference to this episode
This moment always reminds me and inspires me to take changes. Say yes. Do something fun just for the sake of it being fun.
For those who done know,
In Omnia Paratus
Means prepared for all things. This tattoo reminds to be its good for me step out of my comfort zone when I get the chance to, follow my instincts. If I face an experience that seems like it will be fun, go for it. If it turns out to not be fun, be prepared to deal with that.
I got this tattoo was when I was 17 (I think, maybe 18) and although I haven't experience all of the things I wanted to so far, I've done some pretty cool things! And hey! I still have tons of time to keep saying yes and having amazing adventures 😊

Logan Huntsburger x Reader Fluff
A/N Heh, so this is my first fiction on this site. Hope it's okay-ish.
“Logan! Stop hogging the blanket!” I whine, pulling the blanket back to my side of the couch. “Am not!” he says, pulling it towards him. “Yes you are!” I point out, gesturing that more than half the blanket is on his side. “Okay, this is stupid. If you're that cold, than just come here.” he says, holding his arms out.
“What?” I ask. “You heard me.” He wriggles his fingers towards himself and I sigh, moving over and laying my head on his chest. He wraps an arm around my waist and pulls the blanket over both of us.
“Better?”
“Much. Thank you.” I respond, adding, “Now give me the remote.”
“Now way, I'm not gonna watch anymore Grey's Anatomy. Not after what happened to Sheppard.” he complains. “Oh come on, I wasn't gonna watch that anyway!” “Oh yeah, then what were you gonna choose?”
“I figured we could watch The Ring.” I say, casually trying to not look at him. “But you hate scary movies!” “But you love them!” I counter, “And I thought I should start with a classic.”
He opens his mouth to say something, but doesn't, instead sighing and saying,” Alright.” and pressing play.
By the end of the movie, I have concluded that The Ring sucks.
When the girl falls in the well, I jump and hide in Logan's side. My heart has started pounding to concerning rates long ago, but I've ignored that for the most part. Now, I was buried deep in the blanket, and was now starting to burrow into Logan's chest.
I start hyperventilating and Logan shuts off the TV. “Alight. I think that's enough for tonight, don't you?” he asks. I look up and squeak, “Definitely.”
“Let's get you to bed.” he says, helping me up and leading me to the guest room, which I stayed over so much, by now it was basically mine.
I wrap my arms around his torso and beg, “Please! No! I really don't think I-I can sleep alone, the video will somehow pop into the VCR, and-and I'll get up and get water and end up watching the whole thing a-and then next week-” he cuts me off and rolls his eyes.
He grabs my face in his hands to try to calm me and looks into my eyes. “Hey, look at me. It's just a movie. It's okay.” I nod and take a breathe.
I look up at him and say, “Yeah, but I'm still not sleeping in there.” I point into the guest room and Logan sighs, taking my hand and leading me into his room.
“I'll just be a minute,” he says, heading into the bathroom. I nod and flop onto his massive bed and marvel at how the blankets in here are even softer than those in the guest room, and those feel like cotton candy.
He comes out of the bathroom in pajama bottoms and a shirt. He takes one look at me and smiles, chuckling to himself. “Okay, move over.” he says, laying down next to me, moving the blankets. I move and feel very far away from Logan, though he can't be more than 6 inches away. I frown and move under the blanket.
Suddenly, I feel arms around my middle, pulling me closer. I turn my head and smile, seeing Logan asleep next to me. Even though I'm definitely not sleeping tonight, it's nice to know that I'm safe in his arms.

My not worth two cents on Rory's dating habits is this: Rory dated guys that reminded her of Christopher. Dean was that aspect of Christopher who believed that if they had just settled down and married in the beginning, everything would have been fine. Jess was the part that ran away every time things got hard/didn't go his way. Logan was that aspect of Christopher that was the rich boy. Logan is my favorite because he changed for the better WITH Rory and wanted her to be better, too.
Interesting perspective. Oddly enough, Logan was also the most like Lorelai I think. He just choose/got the chance to choose to go up later in life.
I think alot of people get stuck in season 5. Where Logan hasn’t quite started to grow up yet. Jess is starting to, and I’m not sure what’s going on with Dean (But that was 50/50 Rory too, so I shouldn’t be too hard on him).

Why is it people like to say things like Jess was good before and after he dated Rory, but not during in a demeaning sort of way as if Logan and Dean weren't also terrible boyfriends?! There is a long list of things that Dean and Logan did wrong in their relationships with Rory too, all of the relationships where very flawed.
No Jess didn't handle things right in his relationship toward the end, but he didn't handle anything in his life right at the time. He hit rock bottom he was used to handling difficult things on his own, and it all blew up in his face, by the end he figured she wouldn't want him anymore and would want him to leave because he was used to everyone wanting him gone, he probably had a gut feeling it was going to be over. Yes he should have told her he was leaving, but I also understand why he had to leave at the time. Also he wasn't as bad of a boyfriend as people make him out to be either. I've heard some things insinuating how bad of a boyfriend he was like...
"He didn't want to go to the town things with her after they got together he told her he only went because that was when he was trying to get her but after he got her he felt he didn't need to try anymore. He only went to the carnival with her because he was jealous of Dean."
People wildly misinterpret this, he did still do things with her in the same scene they came to a compromise and he said they would meet up after, he just didn't like going specifically to the town things because 1. He was very ostrosized by the town. 2. He had social anxiety 3. He also was more the type that gives her the space to do what she wants and encourages her to do so even if he doesn't quite enjoy those things himself and would come to a compromise. Also Luke hated going to the stupid town things too. He even told Lorelai not to get used to him going to the town things with her, they were the same in that way. That doesn't mean that he stopped trying or that he didn't want to spend time with her that just mean't he didn't like going to the town things. Also yes he did go to the carnival because Dean was there but the way they handled their jealousy, Jess was night and day better.
"He ignored her the whole relationship after he got what he wanted."
He did not ignore her the whole relationship, yes he had communication problems, and he didn't call a few times when he said he was going too, but he did get better and started arranging his schedule to spend time with her, and planning dates. They talked about going on dates, and how when Jess wasn't working or at school he spent his time with Rory on the weekends, and they had movie nights all the time. Context shows that he did NOT ignore her the whole relationship, and that he did make lots of time for her they just didn't show us those things.
"He treated her like shit."
In what ways? Yes he made some mistakes, and handled everything wrong at the end of their relationship but again he was handling everything wrong in his life at that time after he found out he wasn't going to graduate. That doesn't mean he treated her like shit, he just didn't know how to communicate properly with anyone. No he didn't treat her as good as he could have but that was his first real relationship and he was still learning. His relationship with Shane was more of a fling, but Rory was more his first serious relationship.
"He tried to assault her, then got mad at her for it."
Okay this scene was obviously bad, and the worst of Jess, but this scene is also wildly misconstrued. He was obviously in a dissociative state the whole night, and while it wasn't okay, I don't think he was actually hearing her in that moment, and as soon as she got up he didn't push her anymore. He reached for the belt and then she got up. A lot of shows used to use scenarios like that during that time as a means for conflict, and drama similarly Nathan Scott from One Tree Hill did the same exact thing with Haley and people look over it. While I love Nathan too, people don't even talk about what he did, yet want to hold it over Jess' head forever... And yes he did lash out at her but he wasn't mad about that he was mad at himself but in her perspective it may have come off like he was mad at her because he didn't communicate with her, but he was mad about everything else not that she wouldn't sleep with him.
"He just left her without a word."
Yes he did and he absolutely should have told her, but he also had very valid reasons for leaving. That also ties into his poor communication skills that he struggled with in a general sense. Logan also went a while without talking to her basically ghosted her to hook up with a bunch of girls before making any efforts to seeing if he was still in a relationship with Rory or not, and also broke her heart at her college graduation with an ultimatum.
Overall though he was not as bad of a boyfriend as people like to paint him out to be, he made a few big mistakes, but he also learned from them and grew, I'm so tired of people insinuating because Jess was a "terrible" boyfriend as a teen he would still be a terrible one in the future when he is the only one who has shown growth and meanwhile Logan is still being awful, at least Jess had growth! Anyways I'm just ranting sorry for my long rant.
