So, I've just finished listening to The Ashes of Prospero and one of the things that surprised me was how the members of the Space Wolves 13th Great Company seemed to show regret at their actions on Prospero after they realized that Horus gave them the order to destroy Prospero and the Thousand Sons legion.
I know that the Emperor had originally ordered Russ to simply bring Magnus back to Terra and that it was Horus who changed the order to destroy the Thousand Sons, but I had thought that the Space Wolves dispised the Thousand Sons enough to not care about whether they exterminated them all or not or who the order came from, but this does not seem to be the case. Bulveye, the 13th Great Company leader even says that Thousand Sons could've been an ally to the loyalists during the Horus Heresy if it were not for Horus' orders.

Okay, hear me out: Some asshole Governor flirts with you in front of your wolf bf Logan Grimnar (like his younger self but if you don't mind his old white wolf self) and you're liking the idea of being a little brat flirt back. When the Governor goes back home, Logan shows you that you only belong to him~

For the ask meme: Azrael/Logan, Chapter Swap AU please?
(Oh now this has chaotic energy, I love it)
The two opponents circled each other like two great beasts after a fresh kill; one a grey lion and the other a black wolf.
"Make your move Space Wolf" Logan snarled, "Be as rash as your genefather."
Morkaison, 'Azrael' as he was better known as simply tilted his head and eyed him as he leveled his blade, "You talk too much weak willed angel, let's see how far your words carry you now-"

Hi! I am SO happy your requests are open again, could I Ask for Logan Grimnar x Reader!Inqusitor where she was sent as punishment to monitor Space Wolves and with time she warms up to them and starts having crush on Logan because of his charisma, and after few months they chill in his chambers as he casually mentions that he knows you are into him bc he can smell arousal of you whenever he is around which leads him to confess that he also has feelings for you and asks if you want to tame the Great Wolf? I'm sorry if its written so wonky but its my first ever request😭
Author's note: Sorry this is so short;;; I'm at my wits end with block and i saw this was your first request and really wanted to make sure you got SOMETHING;;
Relationships: Logan Grimnar/Fem!Reader
Warnings: A bit nsfw, a lime if you will ;3 but nothing else
'For a woman sent here on punishment, you've seemed quite pleased with the arrangement.'
'What do you mean by that?'
Grimnar had gotten a confused and a bit miffed expression thrown at him, after he had caught you alone.
He has a habit of doing it. You've presumed that the lucky foot charm attached to his belt actually has some sort of borderline heretical power; Or perhaps he's actively seeking you out to- with a word unfitting of him- pester you.
The old astartes laughed, a deep bellow that nearly hurt your ears and cast a weight in your belly that you hate to admit even existed. All astartes voices are deeper and heavier than most average men, and much louder. Grimnar however seemed ever heavier, and you could feel the way his voice weighed on your body.
'I think it would only be a dumb pup that wouldn't notice the way you smell when you watch me train my men.'
'Part of my duty involves obsv-'
You crossed your arms tight around your chest, as if trying to use them as an extra layer of armor against his words that's peeling it all away piece by piece far faster than you can withstand.
Heat blossomed on your neck, from anger or embarrassment you weren't sure, and your words came out harsher and less respectful that you perhaps intended.
He laughs again, though this time it's almost more like a snort than a full belly laugh. He was so unafraid to look you in the eyes, smirking down at you through the thick hair of his beard.
'Don't try that lie on me, little one.'
He took a step closer, lodging himself firmly in your personal space. You held firm and didn't give him an inch, attempting to hold together your cracking exterior. Your skin felt like it was on fire, boiling in your veins as your guts twisted in your stomach.
Grimnar reached up and with his gargantuan gauntlet grasped your jaw with a practiced gentleness, looking at you as if he could read your mind.
'If you want to tame a wolf, you can sure try. You're a smart girl.'
'I might be an old wolf, But I'm sure you'll be plenty satisfied once I'm finished.'
You've hated that he always calls you girl since first sight; It demeaned your stature, your position, your acomplishments. You also hate the way it hits you where it feels far too good and makes your knees want to buckle beneath you. Your gut felt like it's full of lead, count clenching around nothing as if already disobeying you and yearning for him like a bitch in heat.

Let’s fuck that character. Logan Grimnar
Let’s play “Let’s fuck that character.”
There's a pause. Contemplation. "I have never considered that they may 'fuck' before," she admitted, the slang sounding somewhat awkward coming from her. Did Astartes reproduce? She shrugged?

The Wolftime
A Dawn of Fire Novel
Book 3
By Gav Thorpe
Book three in the Dawn of Fires series continues the time line of the Indomitus Crusade whilst focusing on the Space Wolves as Logan Grimnar faces a decision that will impact the future of the Space Wolves chapter.
What's it about:
Depleted by ever-greater demands on their warriors, called upon by Guilliman, Grimnar and his counsellors must choose whether their fate is to ally themselves with an ancient rival and risk all that makes them the Vlka Fenryka or to accept their demise and wait for the return of their own primarch and the coming of the Wolftime.
Why read it:
If you don't know much about the Space Wolves, but always been curious, this is not a bad place to start. A huge part of the story is told from the point of view of one of the new Primaris Marine as he discovers Fenris and what it is to be one of the Wolves of Fenris.
What could have been better:
There could have been more time given to progressing the Indomitus Crusade story, the crusade feels like an afterthought while the majority of the story is focused on the Space Wolves. The Space Wolves themselves could have been portrayed better. I feel you walk a fine line between comedy parody and convincing characters when you write about the Space Wolves. It felt too often the writing strayed into an uncomfortable parody that left me questioning would battle hardened warriors actually act like that. Too often the answer felt like a no, even a little cringe in places.
Favourite bit:
There was some great bits though! As an Ultramarines fan, I love the battle early on in the book where Guilliman shows up and just butchers a horde of World Eaters as they assault an Imperial hold-out on a fallen world. It's a fantastic moment that really shows how powerful the Avenging Son can be in combat. There are also a few other really great moments in this book. Sadly, not enough, and with a huge drift in the story away from the Indomitus Crusade it has to be the weaker of the 3 Dawn of Fire books I've read so far.

11/??? The wolftime This book is my favorite so far of the dawn of fire series, I don't like the chapter master of the space wolves, logan grimnar BUT I most of everything else, except how it felt like Ghazghkull should've been in the book and not just what felt like a cameo the orkz felt less like The Eminent Threat to the indomitus crusade and more like a weird fly buzzing around fenris while grimnar seethed about primaris marines being offered to him, kjarg was a great protagonist and I wish we could see more primaris get accepted

So... how was Logan Grimnar able to fucking sprint in terminator armor? That shouldn't he possible. And yet he managed to do so.
It is a matter of momentum.
He starts slow, but builds speed.
Also, he is normally riding a rocket powered sleigh.
So he doesn't run often.

Wolftime Chapter 3
It's WOLFING TIME
No, seriously, we go from a little Primaris pup to the Space Wolves First Company (?).
hearthegn is tripping me up so much. "Thegn" is clear, that's just thane. But "hear" just seems to miss a letter? Like there should be a d or t to finish the word.
But yeah, Space Wolf Termis clear out Ork Space Hulk.
Do Orks cause mushrooms to grow that much...? Was the same in Ravenwing. I mean, I know they are fungi and procreate by spores but would it be really that shroomy?
Anyway, Arjac is technically the bodyguard of Logan Grimnar but is leading a squad seperately from him.
I mean, makes sense to actually define what is what in a space that has no technical directions. Never thought about it, huh.
Do I need to say it?
How many times is that now, like the fifth?
(also, Arjac is our sole POV character for this chapter)
The flashback discusses the current situation, the Rift, the Orks seemingly trying to head to Fenris? Also, something is sketchy with the Hulk - they suspect the Orks looted something that stabilizes the Hulk from jumping in and out of the warp.
Poor guy.
I think it might be the first time I heard of that kind of geneseed rejection. Like, sure, heard of aspirants washing out but not what consequences are - aside from servitorization or straight-up death.
Arjac and Co. fight through Orks to join up with Logan.
Arjac is pretty worry throughout the whole chapter about Logan, and that the Great Wolf will be killed by an Ork.
