In my last post we looked at the metallic eye pigments set released by LMX by Little Mix which for those who don’t know is Little Mixes beauty range sold in Boots in the UK. Previously I’ve reviewed eye pigments, glosses and lip kits so today I wanted to show you the main event with is their eyeshadow palette called Eye Got The Palette. Now before we start this review a lot of people have pointed out that this palette is exceptionally similar to the palette they released and the colours are basically the same which I’m sure has annoyed some people but I never got the palette last year so it didn’t make much difference to me anyway.

Now this palette is a warm toned palette for sure that has a mixture of matte and shimmer shades and what I find quiet clever is you can split the palette into 4 and each quad is a eyeshadow look in itself. Of course you can mix and match if you want but I think it’s quiet a clever design. Now when you look at the palette it does look quiet dark which did put me off at first since we all know how much I like nude lighter eyeshadow shades but after swatching some colours you could see the colour pigments coming through which made a big difference.

When I first read the reviews on this palette there was a real mixture of people who said they weren’t pigmented or they blended into one colour so I decided to have a play and see what I thought. When I switched the colours I was really surprised with the pigment being the bright and yet the formula being very soft on the eye. I decided to have a play with the palette and a create a nude everyday look since some of the colours are quiet dark in the palette. I used the nude shades on my eyes I swatched on the top half of the swatch pic and together they made a gorgeous nude shimmery look. I used my usual eye primer (NYX Proof It) with the look and the colour pay off lasted most of the day when I first applied the shadows a few of them were a little patchy so I had to build up the colour. At the end of the day I noticed that the matte shades were still on my eyes but the shimmer shades started to fade towards the end of the day which I wasn’t too surprised about considering I was wearing this make up between the hours of 10am - 10pm so of course pigment can fade during that time. But blending the colours was so easy to do and I didn’t find they blended into one colour like some of the reviews said.

Personally I think it you’re a fan of warm toned palettes or you are looking for darker warm toned shades to add to your collection they this palette is a great affordable option. I like this palette personally but I think if they added some lighter tones to mix in with the darker shades then some people would prefer this palette more. However saying that as you can see from the look I posted you can use the shadows to make a light warm toned look so I think people shouldn’t be put off by the darker tones in the palette. I do like the fact that there are deeper tones in the palette so all skin types can get great use out of it this palette. My favourite part of the palette is the shimmer shades for sure, they are the most pigmented and creamy in formula and on the eye look glam AF!!
