Color tips for (I’m not a pro at character design)

Having similar color values can make your art look unfinished and not stand out well. Personally I like to have at least 1 light value 1 dark value and some in between values. This also applies to illustrations

You can see the value of your colors by using the grayscale filter on ibis paint

in drawings and character designs don’t be afraid to use some muted colors sometimes. When used well it can enhance the colors that aren’t muted

If you have trouble picking colors for a character design I suggest looking at your characters personality traits and choosing some colors that respond with those traits, I don’t always do this but I did this with my lirian characters and got some nice color inspiration. Look at already existing color patterns and character designs you like the colors of

Colors can guide the viewers eye to where you want them to look

Dispersing your colors evenly in a character design is important. Yes out of place colors can guide a viewers eyes as stated above but depending on how it’s done it could look bad. If your character has a color palette with more darker colors I suggest using the lighter colors to guide the eyes to where people should look

Try to avoid the same color overlapping itself

Unpopular opinion, but honestly I don't really See Ink as a bad guy more of an antagonist. I mean he was just doing what he was created to, if I remember correctly he's supposed to protect the ink scroll and also make people relive their past mistakes.

Yes he's still bad but hey he's a cool character.

Also hc that he doesn't have a actually form, but likes disguising as Mk cause he feels more comfortable and like themselves when they look like Mk

The Council is a group that is under the control of the Master, who is control of the world. They follow their master’s wishes and orders in order to keep the peace, in hopes that they could bring them back to their worlds. The death au (place holder name) is about mk and the gang finally getting a chance to breathe and get used to the new world after the events of seasons 3 through 5, that is until spirits and humanoid monsters start seeping into the 3 realms and mk starts getting dreams about past events. Mk being the hero he is try’s to deal with the spirits alone but his efforts (and nightmares) don’t go unnoticed for long as macaque agreed to teach him more about spirits and how to not summon 1 that will destroy the city

Shi Qiong and Macaque // LMK Cracked Bone AU

I swear, I just wanted to post a short post with a nice art and sketch, and not describe my AU 😭😭😭

I'm not a fan of the Mystic Mayor and Macaque (ShadowPuppet) ship, but I like their interaction. I have a small AU (Let's call it «Cracked Bone»? Idk-) that revolves around the fact that the Lady Bone Demon brought Macaque: the Mayor is jealous, the Lady forbids being jealous, and Macaque likes to tease the Mayor and ruin his reputation in the eyes of the Lady Bone Demon. 😃

The whole context is: Demon Bull King releases the Lady Bone Demon from her crypt, but Her body didn't turn into bones. She got free, but Sun Wukong quickly defeated her, before she had time to get stronger. Now she has to hide in the apartment of her servant, the Mayor. Shi Qiong really works as a Mayor of the Megapolis and loves his job.

As Chief of War, Shi Qiong was killed by Pilgrims, but the Lady resurrected him, spending her strength not on protect herself, but on his life. This weakened her and allowed the Monk to imprison her in the crypt. In a panic, the resurrection went wrong, changing the Mayor forever. He used to be a serious, stoic warrior, but now he's more like a 14 year old cute, silly boy in love with his goddess (simp).

Yes, I made all this up just to make the Mayor a silly cute boy. I'm a cringe and I proud.🤙😎

Usually, events occur at a time when Icy Lady is sick and sits at home, and the Mayor and Macaque are running around the city and looking for bone fragments. Once all of the bone's fragments is collected, Lady will be able to regain her true form, which Sun Wukong destroyed. That's why AU is called a «Cracked Bone».
