At first Vox and Alastir were Just Friends, maybe first few years, but then Vox got crush on Al and Alastor suddenly started to feel uncomfortable around him. Rosie noticed that and understood what was happening to Vox (maybe even earlier that him vfdkjfjhdhhkfg) and told him that she and Alastor are married, just to protect Alastor from Vox's unwanted attention (and she still kinda hoped to rizz Alastor and make this lie a reality)

But in the end (when Vox discovered that it was a lie) she let Alastor to deal with Vox himself (i'm sure if Rosie handled that, they wouldn't hate each other now at least)

Hey hey this is kinda random but yall do know how easy it is to get Japanese games(or Chinese or korean) on ur phone right? I saw a bunch of ppl talking about how they're sad they can't play haikyuu touch the dream cuz it's not global but like u totally can and it's super easy

Android: just download qooapp u just gotta look up qooapp and if u want download their app and boom jp games galore! Qooapp is what I use but the caveat is its not for ios

Apple: okay ur getting this info second hand so if someone has more than I do that would be very helpful. From what I've heard u just have to make a Japanese apple ID and I don't have an apple phone so I don't know how it works sorry!

Japanese IP bypass: some Japanese games check if you have a Japanese IP address which makes them harder to download however u can work around it with a VPN. I used tunnelbear when I downloaded magireco and it Def worked. All I did was change my location to Japan and then make a Japanese IP email acc and sign in to the googleplay store. Make sure to set the app to auto update tho so u don't have to deal with it later. Luckily it's only a few games you'll have to do do this for

In conclusion:downloading Asian games is very easy and the only issue is language and u could easily look up translations for story and mission and stuff though I wouldn't recommend story heavy or games where you feel like you would need to be able to read I know some people use like apps that translate in real time but idk how to do that lmao

Hello! I hope you’re doing well! I was wondering if you could give me some advice when it comes to furthering my language learning. I’ve been learning Norwegian on Duolingo for almost 5 years now but I feel like I’ve barely made any progress into actually learning the language. I’ve seen you mention that Duolingo isn’t the best way to learn a language, just on its own. What more can I be doing to actually learn Norwegian? I appreciate any insight you might be able to give. Thank you!

Hi there!

I actually think Norwegian Duo's not that bad, especially compared to other courses. It got me to A2 level without my really using any other resources! But of course, A2 is still only the top of beginner level, and from thereon out it's pretty ineffective on its own (although I still used it even at B2 level as a way to refresh vocab I'd forgotten or just do a little practice every day when I didn't have the time or energy to do anything else).

There are a lot of different ways you can study Norwegian. Here are some things I did (it's an essay lmao I'm so sorry):

1) Listen to Norwegian radio. You'll probably think I'm mad when you first try it because you'll probably understand very little other than the odd word here and there, but I promise it gets easier and you'll get used to the rhythm of the language in a way Duolingo doesn't prepare you for. Try to shadow the speakers (repeat what they say just after they say it. You don't have to know the words they're actually saying; just approximate the phonemes and the melody and the stress patterns. I promise you your pronunciation is gonna get SO good)

2) Take to Youtube. Check my resources list here for some links to channels that teach Norwegian.

3) Norwegian podcasts! I made a list of some beginner/intermediate-friendly ones (check the link in point 2). The plus with podcasts is you can slow the speed down to half-speed too. Again, don't be discouraged if it's difficult at first; just focus on the rhythm and stress of the language

4) Norwegian TV. You're gonna struggle at first but you need to struggle to improve, so don't be discouraged even if several months pass without you feeling like there's any improvement. Intermediate level sucks I'm afraid. Some shows I like that don't require a VPN (as of the time I'm posting this) are Fra bølle til bestevenn (it's got dogs in it), Hva feiler det deg (game show where normal people with internet compete against doctors to guess a patient's diagnosis), 113 (documentary following paramedics in Trondheim - try not to cry at the dialects), Klassequizen (quiz show with 10th graders, pretty A2/B1-friendly), Side Om Side (popular sitcom, sometimes the second-hand embarrassment kills me but mostly it's pretty funny) and Superkrim (did you know that crime stories around Easter time are a Thing in Norway? They make a new season of this one every year but it's accessible year-round, and the language is a lot simpler than a lot of shows, and it's pretty fun and a bit silly)

Note: subtitles are in Norwegian only, and half the time they match the nuance but not the actual words being said. I recommend trying to listen without them first, then listen with them, then listen without them again and see if you can catch a few more words.

5) Textbooks, if that's your jam. I recommend The Mystery Of Nils (you can jump straight to book 2: Mysteriet om Nils if you think you're ready. It's a bit of a jump but no point wasting money/time on something that you won't enjoy) and Norwegian Tutor (from the Teach Yourself series. The first few chapters will seem pretty basic but it's great at explaining nuances and prepositions in later chapters).

6) Read things in Norwegian. You can get short stories for beginner/intermediate level online, as well as read news articles (even if you can't read the whole article, just try the first paragraph). When I was about A2 level I would print things out and go through them just translating them, highlighting new words, words I'd encountered before but couldn't remember, words I could work out from context, particular grammar patterns and words I couldn't figure out and needed the help of a native speaker to work out.

7) Follow Norwegian accounts on social media. Here's a list I made earlier.

8) If you have some extra cash, investing in an italki tutor can be helpful. I've had lessons with a number of tutors so feel free to send me a message if you want help deciding which one to go with.

9) Keep a journal in Norwegian. Look up words you don't know and write them in a different colour. Maybe try to use words you learned that day and write them in a different colour too (even if by using them you're literally just writing "jeg lærte ordet «______» i dag. Det betyr ______")

10) You can also try creative writing. I started out by writing fiction largely in English but with Norwegian dialogue. I then moved on to writing short articles and then essays, then short stories and fan fiction.

11) You can try apps like HiNative and HelloTalk to find native speakers for language exchange. If you only know English though it might be difficult to find people because Norwegians typically speak really good English and aren't looking to learn/practice.

12) Listen to Norwegian music. Get on spotify and search "norsk (music genre of your choice)" and find some songs you like. Listen to them and pay attention to the lyrics. Then find the lyrics online and listen with the lyrics. Then try to translate the lyrics on your own. Finally, look up someone else's translation and see how close they are. Then try to learn the song and visualise meaning it with your whole heart as you sing along.

13) Practise speaking to yourself. It feels super awkward when you first start, but I always manage to get into the flow pretty quickly. You can have GT in front of you so you can look up things if you need to, or you can just write down words you don't know/couldn't think of as you go along, then look them up once you're done (I prefer this method; having GT in front of you encourages your brain to be lazy and not try to actively recall the information you need). 14) Flashcards. I put this one last because really flashcards are only useful as a supplement to learning through other methods. They help to keep vocab fresh in your mind until you see it in context again (and it's the seeing words in context that's gonna cement the meaning in your brain. I've never heard anyone say "oh, I know that word because it was in my flashcard deck that I reviewed every night before bed", but I hear people say things like "oh, I know that obscure word because I watched cooking shows in my TL and the host said it aaaall the time" or "it's in a line from one of my favourite songs" a LOT).

just a quickish thing I whipped up for a staticmate of mine in FFXIV, as a return gift for him going out of his way to win me one of the battle challenge shirts at PAX a few weekends ago!

we ended up meeting in-person and hanging out the weekend after when I went on a solo trip to Sydney for the KH: World of Tres orchestra, so it was also a way of saying thank-you for showing me around, and for being a familiar face to rely on somewhere I’m not overly familiar with too :’)

so. wanted to go to bed at like 1 am. saw on insta that the copa america final was going to be tonight (yesterdays night tonight), not todays tonight as i thought. checked the time and it was already to begin 2 am (CET) so i thought my god what is another hour, it's the final! what if colombia wins?! so i managed to find a vpn and tuned into caracol (colombian tv channel) to check if it was working. it was! and they were already pre game reporting - nice! i listened to them a little... halftime is going to be 25 mins so shakira can perform??? first of all what gringo fuckery is this why are they forcefully trying to convert actual football into their football?? and secondly - is that allowed?!?? how did argentina not protest against this lmao 😭😭. SHAKIRA is performing at the COLOMBIA - argentina final??? what?? they should've at least allowed argentina to bring some national hero to perform as well but ok. ok. also: there seems to be a problem at the entrance?! people aren't being let in? the game is being delayed half an hour?? i was so tired at that point i just calculated at which time the first half would be almost over so i could tune in again then, set a timer, turned off my tablet and went to sleep. HARD CUT timer goes off, i'm confused for a second. ah right, football! i turn the tablet on again. restart the live stream. they're still not playing?!?? what. okay so the game has been delayed over an hour? at least they're about to sing the hymns now. i listen to that, watch the first 20 mins of the game but by god i couldn't do it, i was SO tired. so i calculated again. rest of this half. 25 mins "halftime show" (...), 30 more mins. okay. back to sleep. argentina leads by 1 goal, then colombia scores one, the stadium explodes, the match ends 1-1, they go into penalties, it goes well at first for both teams, but then colombia loses by one missed penalty. argentinian fans storm the field, colombians are devestated, i'm in some kind of common room?? of the building where i live, watching the match there with other colombian families, they're all sad too... HARD CUT the timer goes off, i'm confused for a second. oh, so the game is still on?! that was a dream? colombia can still win? i turn the stream back on. it's 0-0 actually, not many more minutes to play. game over. okay then, penalties, let's do this. wait what, NOW we're having extra time?! omg please no i am so tired, it's already getting light outside again. but okay. extra time, no goals, looks like penalties again (what if my dream was semi prophetic?!), but then, of course, argentina scores shortly before the game is over, i see colombia lose FOR THE SECOND TIME tonight, turn the tablet back off. my alarm is set to 7:52 because i have to urgently reschedule a dentist appointment ✌🏻

PHEW, what a mixed bag of an experience!

So, I finished my first living ship and lemme tell ya

This was relatively annoying all things considered lol, though not wholly negative by any means.

The catch this post up to speed, this quest is Basically "4 entire days of waiting" and that's not great!

That's not exactly what I consider worthwhile gameplay, or gameplay at all!

But, to give some leeway, it isn't like you can't play the rest of the game during that time- but to counter that leeway, there's not a single good reason for this quest to be formatted this way lmao

Good parts though:

I like how a couple of the early parts of the quest (before telling you "Alright, wait 24 hours before the next step 🙂") play off slight remixes of the basic mining and terrain manipulation loop.

I genuinely appreciate that, it's small, it's something 99% of the game doesn't remix on, and it emphasized how this living ship is "special" because it uses entirely foreign and mystical components using entirely foreign and mystical tools.

I also (almost) REALLY like the final test of the quest (almost) (almost).

The final step being a round about riddle telling you to use a portal and input a special code is COOL AND I WISH MORE THINGS DID THIS.

The final step assigning new names to half the glyphs out of thin air.... not so much.

I wandered for a bit contemplating what the riddle meant, then when I went "A HA!" and rushed to a nearby portal, only to realize "Oh wait, I'm supposed to comprehend what these words equate to?" and it kinda fell apart for me.

I was able to figure some of them, Hunter being the bird made sense, Spiral I got, Star over the water I figured (I think I did at least), but Reflection is the face one because it's symmetrical? Alright, glad someone on the wiki figured that for me. The obscured companion is the fucking ECLIPSE? I mean, I can get the stretched definition in retrospect but at first glance?

The Anomaly is the hexagon instead of the atlas-adjacent shape, hmm. Oh my bad, the atlas-adjacent shape is the "rising sphere" sure sure sure I gotcha okay.

Yeah I figured like half the code then looked it up. ALMOST great and I'm sure some people went "OH HELL YEAH" and figured it out no problem- but I am not of that specific mental frequency and instead found myself annoyed to be handed a code with no prior ledger or hint to help decode it.

ANYWHO, then you have an awkward but apt no man sky moment where you absorb souls- thus damning some past travelers to being the dash of your new slick ride

which was weird but okay. I can't pretend I felt much shock or sparked much interesting thought because it was mostly out of left field- like I thought this was plenty interesting on its own as an ancient attempt of melding flesh and steel- soul and code to create a living ship- one that appeared to struggle to succeed in the prior creators hands as they couldn't resonate with the ship like we seem capable of- but then they are like "Oh and we can make it slightly edgy by saying you steal some souls to power it" like alright, whatever man lmao

And then I got hit by an annoying as hell bug trying to get my ship because my ship spawned in the exact same spot as some other player's attempts at the quest which caused the interact prompt to disable for both of us.

I ended up having to reset to the main menu like 3 times and turn on my VPN just for a chance at finishing the quest and getting my ship- and in the process I was checking the wiki for answers (got none) and disappointed myself by finding out if I was going to be in reset hell like this- if I would have saved a minute prior then I could be resetting for a better looking living ship- but I hadn't planned to save scum AT ALL- the game FORCED me to, but now the possibility was taunting me since I couldn't do it anymore and overall this was just a whole bother of a time.

BUT!

I GOT IT!

My 2 goals this last week or so of playing was to get an exotic I liked and to get my first living ship.

I finished both goals and funnily enough the living ship with its 4 days of mandatory waiting time was the longer goal to achieve :P

Since I'll "Probably" never have another reason to talk about this thing, lemme just say the following:

The quest is kinda bad, I like the portal part though (mostly).

The aesthetic of these things is pretty dang nice :)

And I like how living ships, like Interceptors, use different fuels (it's a small but satisfying shake up!). Between Inty's being fully stocked on all the fuel they could want from a single visit to a dissonance planet and /most/ of a living ships needs being sated by CARBON of all things, they really do give their respective ships a small nudge of identity that you can legitimately feel while piloting :)

-and I like how living ships have unique techs that accomplish what base-line ships require multiple techs to do in a single tech (like the economic + conflict scanner living tech I have :))

It's another small thing, but having unique techs that equate to "What if these 2 techs could be simplified to just 1 as a special bonus to this ship type!" is nice, I wish we saw more of it to give all the different ship types yet more identity and (minute) purpose :)

Also the internals are nice, I appreciate them a lot :)

Anyways, I'm reading now that after the first living ship you just buy following living ships for 10k nanites- thank god for that, if I ever want another that sounds far more reasonable than 4 days of waiting and a final quest step that bugs out if anyone else is doing the same quest lmao

last song: had to check my youtube history because i rarely listen to music and apparently it was precious by depeche mode on July 12th, lol. it's the soundtrack at the end of bones 1x10 and rewatching the episode always makes me want to listen to the song again.

currently watching: of the shows that are still on right now, only what we do in the shadows. (i think how i met your father s2 officially ended, i mean to pick nancy drew back up but i don't remember where in s3 I fell behind) but i'm in a perpetual process of rewatching/watching so many things, just since the beginning of the summer i've rewatched s3-5 of community, the entirety of black books, went back to white collar which i had abandoned after s2 and watched s3-4 in full before getting distracted, i am also in a neverending rewatch of castle and bones that's been going on since like 2016. earlier this year i was rewatching rizzoli&isles, warehouse 13, grimm, etc. did not finish them all. i jump around a lot depending on my mood. also mean to get back to my lucifer and wynonna earp rewatch at some point. i very rare finish shows and then i get back and have to start from the beginning and then i don't finish anyway, it's a vicious circle, i don't like saying goodbye. also i have no attention span. i guess technically i am also in the process of watching hawaii five-0 but i haven't watched any new (for me) episodes in a loooong time because canon is such a drag compared to the happy au land i've been living in. i do also watch some shows that are on hiatus right now but i probably wouldn't even remember them all. i only remember when they come back. suffice to say i watch a lot of tv lol.

currently reading: embarrassingly, nothing. only stuff that comes up on my tumblr dash 🤷🏻‍♀️. i haven't even read fanfic since ao3 was blocked in my country in april of this year. because of how my brain works if you add an extra step to something i am used to doing (aka i have to turn on vpn to open ao3 links) i am just that much less likely to do it. i miss losing myself in a book but my brain is too preoccupied by my blorbos to be able to invest in anything new.

current obsession: probably shocking to no one who follows me, it's mcdanno. this ship ate my brain in november of 2021 and since then its hold on me has not lessened at all, probably got worse, lmao. i found myself unable to gather any feelings about any of my old long time ships because all that space has been eaten up by steve and danny's insane chemistry and frustrating and wonderful epic love story. also within the mcdanno fandom the obsession of recent months has been building/brainstorming aus with aron @emphasisonthehomo (best rp partner one could wish for) . and i guess you can call making mcdanno screencap edits and metas an obsession of its own.

Hi! Hope it's all good, I wanted to ask you what software you use for your edits I've honestly no clue where to start but I've loads of little clips of yours saved :D

hiya!! im so sorry for the delayed answer, i swear tumblr doesnt give me notifs about my inbox im fuming. this is quite long so the answer and some editing tips are under the cut! please feel free to reach out if there's something that doesn't make sense or if you ever need any tips or help!

i personally use adobe after effect 2020 with some plugins! most people would probably use adobe premiere pro for compilations like the ones i do but im WAY WAY WAY more used to after effect due do making daily fancams/edits in the past (i do not recommend doing this btw- got burned out after doing it for about a year LMAO). so for example if you're interested in making edits like this or this i'd go for after effect but if you wanna make stuff like this or this, premiere pro is probably the way to go, even if i use AE for both 😭

adobe products are very expensive and you need quite the computer for it to run it without crashing all the time so if you dont have the resources or want to dedicate some time into researching turrenting + vpn and how to install it properly + the plugins on top of learning a pretty confusing (at first) program i'd recommend capcut! it's a free phone app and ive personally never used it, but ive had a lot of mutuals before use it and it looks great and pretty simple to use once you get the hang of it.

learning after affect is extremely frustrating i wont lie, but it's probably the best software if you want to do complicated stuff or simply just get smooth slow mo that you often use in edits! it's worth it in the end after you get the hang of it! there's a lot of youtube tutorials out there and i'd love to help with settings and keyframes if needed!

using AE can be a little bit of an overkill if you're only looking into trying editing to see if you think it's fun and worth the time it takes, so phone apps is honestly an amazing start to get into it. i just decided to go 120% out of nowhere due to getting a hyperfixiation on deciding to learn how to edit and doing it in a more "professional" way and potentially become an editor in the future -> which did not happen. or well. i did end up having a tiktok account with 45k followers when i posted a lot of my edits of shows that i liked but i was potentially thinking of becoming a yt editor or maybe work in media more. however im a burned out nurse student now LMAO

personal tips when it comes to editing;

i use while editing is to make a mindmap or simply just write down key elements you want in your edit to make it easier and prevents you from having to redo your edit (which is painful).

to make the edit "run more smoothly" make sure to fade the clip to be more dark at the end and start the next coming clip with a fade from dark to light. learning slow mo can be tricky in any app, but if possible i use the same thing with clips where it starts faster, is the slowest in the middle of the clip, and starts to get to normal speed at the end of the clip to make the transition over to another clip seem smoother and not like a raw cut.

this might be more of a editing style preference but i always add a slight zoom (either in or out depending on the transition) at every clip so that it's not as awkwardly still. i also always add a slight shake that you cant really see unless you focus on it for the same reason as the zoom. i found that even if the transitions are extremely simple or not even there at all, these small things make an edit look way more "professional" and less choppy.

next thing is "just" to learn what transitions you like after that and dont be afraid to mess with settings, even if you follow a tutorial. its all about finding your own editing style and what you like more!

i download youtube videos using loader.to but screen recording also works! i download mine to make the fps be correct to match when im slowing down a clip but that might be a bit overkill. youtube4kdownloader.com is a great website to cut clips from youtube videos to download too! just make sure to use adblockers when using the websites!

also: editing takes a lot of time and dont feel discouraged if it takes long to finish one! once you have more of an editing style it becomes more of a routine the more you edit!

these tips can be used on any editing app (with the slow mo being an exception in some apps) but then again, dont feel like you need any of it and just go ham on whatever ideas you have! id love to see any edit of yours :D

so for clarity i am planning to share my webrips for Life's Work with everyone when I have finished this gif series. there's 18 eps total but only 15 are available so like, 8 sets left to go, probably 2-3 weeks? basically because i'll need to process and upload them all (the ripping tool leaves a watermark at the beginning with my name, e-mail & ip to try and prevent 🏴‍☠️ lmao so I need to reclip them to remove it), and will need to figure out where to upload them all safely that won't get them removed immediately / won't cost money for storage.

but also because I don't like, wanna have someone charge in and gif them all before I can finish when I'm having so much fun doing this series. I struggle with enjoying new things (autism!) and giffing it has really helped me to engage with it. I know how feral you all are about stuff LAW appear in/on and I totally support that, I'm feral too. I'd do it too if rips suddenly became available. But because getting ahold of this series has cost me like £30 and I'm a broke bitch so that's a ton of money to me, I do wanna complete my personal coverage for it myself first. When I DO release the files, I look forward to seeing what everyone makes with it.

I absolutely DO want everyone to be able to watch it who wants to. It's one of my new favourite shows and possibly LAW's best role/best creation. And there are means to watch it - I did! I'm outside the region locked zone where it's available legally, and I still go ahold of it via some vpn shenanigans. So it's not like I'm the only way to see it, just the only way to see it for free. If it was as simple as just sharing a link to an existing pirate version, I'd have done that immediately, but that doesn't exist, and it wasn't the easiest process, so. I am sitting on them, temporarily, just til I'm done clipping them and finish giffing them.

Does that all sound reasonable? I hope it's reasonable and not super gatekeepy. I always try to not be gatekeepy and share whatever resources I have and be kind to everyone, and I totally will be sharing these! I know I'm, I think, the only one who has actual rips of it? So. It has been on my mind. There will be rips soon, I promise.

I'm probably overthinking it but I am seeing more and more people in the LAW/LW adjacent tags complaining about not being able to find it and sounding like, truly angry about it. and get at least 3-4 asks per week about it at this point and it's just making me feel very selfish! because I am contributing to the culture that's making people want to watch it, suddenly (which - i'm glad I am, because it's good!) so part of that's on me. I did only have actual rips of it as of today, before today I was having to manually screen record which was what was preventing me from releasing them, so this WILL speed up the process of sharing the files, but. I think these are my terms for now? I hope that's alright.

Ok so assuming you know the allegations I won’t go into all that this is just a summary on the court case (typing this on my laptop makes this feel like a school assignment)

On February 2, 2022, ATL (Alex, Jack, Zack, and Rian) filed a defamation suit against 3 defendants (Jane Doe 1, 2, and 3). You can read the first Rolling Stone article about it here, and it also has the full first filed document available at the bottom of the page.

Jane Doe 1 is the original TikTok allegation (who made the video about them inviting her on their bus), Jane Doe 2 is the ATLStatement Twitter account with the one big allegation, and Jane Doe 3 is the Twitter user (dietsodasage) who claimed to have found 97 allegations.

This initial filing states:

● The social media posts are defamatory and the people posting them knew that and did it with malicious intent

● Because the people are anonymous, they had to take this to court instead of handling it directly

● The allegations tarnished their reputation and caused them to “lose business opportunities and suffer cancellation of scheduled events” and the false accusations “drown out the voices of the real victims of sexual abuse who deserve to be heard”

● The amount of damages exceeds $25,000 and the damages come from “lost or diminished touring opportunities, music publishing, sponsorship opportunities, and loss to reputation.”

● They will donate any proceeds from the lawsuit to charities that support victims of sexual abuse

On February 4, there was a “Case Management Conference” scheduled for June. From my research this appears to be the sort of thing where defendants and prosecutors meet to try and settle things outside of court.

On February 25 and March 1 (as stated by Twitter in one of the later documents) ATL’s legal team served Twitter with subpoenas to identify the people. And on March 31 they said no you didn’t provide the standard info needed to unmask anonymous people. ATL’s lawyers then issued a third subpoena.

On May 17, their lawyer submitted a request to move the Conference to October since they hadn’t been able to yet identify who the defendants were.

On October 3, the same thing happened and they moved the Conference to January 2023.

On November 4, they filed a subpoena to get information from a VPN company in Texas to identify the owner of an IP address.

On November 10, there was a new document on what they’d done to request information on Doe 2 (sending subpoenas to Twitter and TikTok).

● TikTok complied but was only able to give an IP address (presumably which was the catalyst for reaching out to the VPN company) and tell them that they registered for TikTok via the ATLStatement Twitter account.

● Twitter wrote back saying haha no, you did not do X Y and Z first and you need to do so (there’s a lot of legal jargon here that I understand like 50% of so I’m not going to go into detail). They also confirmed that they did notify Doe 2 of the subpoena and their attempts to identify them and so far they have not intervened or objected to the subpoena.

● Another interesting point from this article is that at first, the subpoena was asking for information about two of the defendants (dietsodasage and ATLStatement), but they are now only focusing on only Doe 2.

So then, on November 10, they filed another motion with all of the things Twitter requested in order to comply with the subpoena.

● Lots more legal jargon in this one

● This also included statements from each member of the band stating that:

○ The social post caused damages

○ All allegations are denied

○ The only funny thing to come out of this mess: “None of my bandmates has ever walked in on me engaging in sexual relations with anyone.”

● Also included a statement from Dawn (their fan club manager) who says she never got specific people into meet and greets or did anything that the ATLStatement account alleged.

On November 22, Twitter wrote back and was like “hey court, can you decide if this is legal or not? Like are we good to share this info or does it go against the first amendment? Because their statement and the tweet are contradictory.”

● Twitter and ATL’s lawyers tried to have it out via phone instead of all these documents and that’s where it got narrowed down to only getting identifying information for Doe 2 but because of “the seriousness of the allegations” Twitter is like idk court you gotta decide

● Twitter provided notice to ATLStatement but Twitter does not have any data for dietsodasage so they couldn’t provide notice to them.

Finally, on December 7, the court approved the order for Twitter to disclose the identity of ATLStatement because:

● The plaintiff stated their reasons for needing it

● Twitter was just asking the court to make a decision they didn’t necessarily oppose

● Twitter has already notified ATLStatement and they have not objected to the subpoena

● The one previous case Twitter was citing isn’t “good law” (ok whatever that means) and the plaintiff doesn’t have the information they need to prosecute their case but Twitter does.

So Twitter has ten days from December 7 to provide identifying information for Doe 2 (ATLStatement).

Disclaimer that I am not a lawyer I’ve just read all of these documents extensively so if I’m wrong about anything... no one sue me?

tldr; at the moment, they’re mostly going after ATLStatement. Twitter has to cough up their info in the next seven days. Who knows where we go from here!

Examining How I Use The Internet

Prompted by this page I’ve realised I’m doing a lot of mindless scrolling and procrastinating a lot with the internet. Time to fix that. Mari Kondo’ing this shit.

Reddit: I mindlessly scroll and always gravitate to drama subs like AITA, which just depresses the life out of me and drags me into negativity. 

Solution: Block the bad subreddits with stayfree and use it to put a limit on how much time I spend on there, so I can still access useful and informative subreddits but not doomscroll. Stayfree did heehaw but I found a simple extension that blocked the subreddits and then used Ublock to hide popular posts so basically it’s just my specific feed now. Win!

Tumblr: I also mindlessly scroll here, albeit less. Sometimes on instinct I feel the need to put on a persona or post certain things or overly clarify things to appease spectators I’ve crafted in my head or feel a need to perform. Makes using this site stressful.

Solution: Remind myself this tumblr is my digital journal and while I’m open to making friends this is not something I’m doing to get clout. I am here to collect, learn and explore. 

Twitter: I rarely go on it anymore, and I just don’t like it. The only things that were on it that I liked were cute and cozy aesthetic accounts, but even then nah.

Solution: Delete it. Twitter gone woo crab rave

Discord: I use it the most to talk directly to irl and online friends, have a bookclub and get updates on random stuff. Sometimes it feels like a void.

Solution: ?? Need it to talk to friends. Just meditate or smth. Like tumblr, don’t feel the need to perfom or put on a persona. Vibe only.

Youtube: Also started procrastinating by going on there with the intention to watch this One Specific video and then I’m on the 4th Im Skylar White Yo lego video. 

Solution: See if there’s something that can block the yt homepage and just see subscriptions or smth. ABSOLUTE UBLOCK W HOW IS THIS SO EASY AND I NEVER KNEW?!

Emails: I’m scared to even touch my gmails bc of the amount of spam mail I’ve accumulated since I was 8.

Solution: Buckle up and start unsubscribing to junk mail and clearing them out THEN switch from gmail to literally anything. Done techgirl email

Internet In General: I think I use a decent not centralized browser. I use yt adblock like a champ. But I really need to go over security notes, find a vpn, make sure this browser is cool, download that torrent browser thing sometime. 

Solution: Find vpn, get torrent browser thing, use throw away emails or card info.

I also generally feel like I have to put on a performance. Is this down to that one time I was a microceleb in this one niche shitty instagram community? Maybe. Theres a voice at the back of my head like “Will this get notes? Will people laugh at this? Does this fit? Will this slightly put someone off?” and its exhausting because I’m not here to get clout I’m just wanting to chill!! I do however want to make friends and meet like-minded folks, don’t wanna create an echo chamber for myself. Hm...

Solution: Recognise this behaviour, the thoughts. Listen to them, deconstruct them, let them pass. Do this constantly. Do not engage them or let them influence you. (realising this sounds like some spc lmao)

I sometimes skip posts with hardly any upvotes or notes because unconciously Im only paying attention to bigger posts. This means I miss out on tons.

Solution: Use good ol ublock to hide note and upvote elements.

Spotify: Love music. Like the spotify wrapped thing. Hate spotify, it is evil company. I don’t even pay for it thanks to my bestie. But...

Solution: Compile music elsewhere (where ?)

Instagram: I’m not actually active on it, I just still have it bc it has tons of cool anime edits I’ve saved over the years. But I hate zuckergram.

Solution: Export the sick edits and delete zuckergram. I will do this on my phone.

End Notes

Compared to a year ago I’m much more aware of how I’m using the internet. My phone usage is down to nilch, it’s almost like I never spent 16 hours a day on instagram straight as a kid.

Having a path still ahead to walk down doesn’t negate the mountain I climbed before.

The sites I use most are Reddit, YT, Tumblr, Discord. Thats four I’ve whittled it down to, which is actually an ok number, not too bad. One for solitary reading, one for spooks and funny videos, one for semi solitary blogging, one for communication.

Should come back to this later and re-examine things and not forget to do these things.
