Embajador de Catar augura nuevos éxitos a la Academia Aspire y a la Cultural

León (España), 16 nov (EFE).- El embajador Catar en España, Mohammed Al Kuwari, ha asegurado hoy en León que la relación entre la Academia Aspire y la Cultural y Deportiva Leonesa "dará nuevos éxitos en el futuro". El Ayuntamiento de León ha ofrecido esta mañana una recepción oficial a Al Kuwari, desplazado hasta León para recoger el premio 'Negrilla de Oro' que cada año concede el periódico La Nueva Crónica y que en esta edición ha recaído en la Academia Aspire de Catar, en reconocimiento a su apuesta por la Cultural. La recepción ha tenido lugar en salón de Plenos del antiguo Ayuntamiento de San Marcelo y durante su intervención el embajador ha subrayado el "cariño" que siempre ha recibido por parte de los leoneses a pesar de la lejanía con su país de origen. No se ha olvidado Al Kuwari de felicitar a la ciudad por su reciente capitalidad gastronómica y ha destacado la apuesta de Catar por León a través de la Academia Aspire y su intensa y fructífera relación con la Cultural. Una relación basada en el deporte que rompe fronteras y que sirve de vía de entendimiento en un mundo que vive tiempos difíciles, ha destacado el embajador. En su réplica, el alcalde de León, Antonio Silván, ha subrayado la relación entre Catar y León a través del deporte y que ese vínculo hecho realidad a través de la Cultural "se amplíe y proyecte de manera transversal a otras disciplinas en las que juntos podemos alcanzar cimas más altas". Silván ha resaltado los logros del país catarí en materia de Educación y la importancia que se da al deporte, a la vez que ha ensalzado las excelencias de León en materia formativa y la Universidad de León para vender la provincia como lugar idóneo de inversiones.
