A Look at Polo and Essential Equipment
Tumblr media
Polo, a horseback sport with roots tracing over 2000 years to ancient Persia, evolved in 1800s India when British soldiers adapted the local game for cavalry rider training. Upon reaching Britain, standardized rules spurred global expansion. In modern times, the sport requires a set of essential equipment.
The sport aims to outscore opponents by advancing the ball into their halves and scoring through the goal. Teams of four members blend offense and defense, adapting to shifting dynamics. Essential equipment enhances performance and ensures safety, with a few crucial items for players. Safety and strategy are critical in this equestrian sport.
Aside from playing while riding on a fast-moving horse, which has its dangers, a safety helmet protects a rider's head in case of falls, swift-moving polo balls, stray mallets, and other hazards that may expose the head during play.
Polo riders' legs remain highly exposed. Therefore, one should opt for polo-specific knee pads with comfortable leather fronts and secure Velcro straps.
High-quality riding boots are essential in polo. Boots that use robust, high-quality leather provide ample ankle support and protection, and a sturdy sole is ideal.
Polo necessitates using a suitable mallet or stick. Selecting a stick that is appropriately long for a polo pony's height and a mallet with a weight aligning with a rider's playing style is crucial.
Last, it’s always advisable to wear specialist polo jeans to look the part and ensure a rider is comfortable when they ride.

🔘THE PENTAGON SAYS, GOOD MORNING FROM HEZBOLLAH - Real time from Israel
ISRAEL REALTIME - Connecting to Israel in Realtime
✡️Shabbat Parshat Noach (Torah Portion “Noah”) - Genesis 6:9 - G‑d instructs Noah—the only righteous man in a world consumed by violence and corruption—to build a large wooden teivah (“ark”), coated within and without with pitch. A great deluge, says G‑d, will wipe out all life from the face of the earth.
( VIDEO - IDF demolishing Hezbollah town used to launch extensive attacks on Israel - Kfar Kila, street by street. )
💧RAIN tomorrow with strong wind in most of the country.  Prepare for the first rain on Shabbat.  ( For those overseas, Israel receives seasonal rains, for most of the country there has been no rain since last winter - people store things outside that can be water damaged until rainy season. )
▪️NEWSPAPER CEO SEMI-APOLOGIZES.. (Amit Segal) Owner Shoken made a reserved apology. He did not retract his call for sanctions on the State of Israel, does not say to whom did he meant are freedom fighters? Hamas in Judea-Samaria? Islamic Jihad? Shoken read his words from the script. Suddenly he "reconsiders" his words. Amazing what an advertiser and subscriber boycott can do.
▪️NATIONAL BUDGET.. The Minister of Culture and Sports Miki Zohar decided to vote against the state budget: "The treasury decided to delete the cultural bodies and sports support in Israel." ( The budgetary battles over must-have vs. nice-to-have vs. ministers defending their area will go on through the end of the year, due to war finance pressures. )
🔹PENTAGON SAYS.. The Pentagon: American Defense Minister Lloyd Austin talked tonight with Defense Minister Yoav Galant about "opportunities to reduce regional escalation". In a telephone conversation, the two discussed the demand of senior American officials to reach a solution to the situation in Gaza and Lebanon and to prepare for an Iranian response to Israeli attacks in Tehran.
♦️The IDF in an unusual official announcement: "Hezbollah rockets killed 7 civilians yesterday, Hezbollah attacks cannot go unanswered.”
♦️LEBANON - widespread wave of attacks overnight in Beirut, and Nabatia after evacuation warning.
♦️LEBANON - IDF airstrikes and artillery and the firing of more than 20 phosphorus shells in the area of the Al Khayyam village detention center. A Lebanese source explained that the area of the detention center is at a high point that allows fire control in the area.
♦️SYRIA - Syrian report, IDF forces attacked about half an hour ago Iranian militia sites in Kusayr in the western countryside of Homs.
⭕Overnight 2 INTERCEPTIONS OVER EILAT, suicide drones from Shia Militias Iraq.
⭕DRONE FROM IRAQ Shia Militias intercepted over Syria.
⭕HEZBOLLAH says good morning with a ROCKET BARRAGE (at least 20 rockets) at Upper Galilee towns.
⭕JUDEA-SAMARA.. 3 armed terrorist groups claim to have carried out 3 shooting attacks in the last few days in northern Samaria and in the northern Jordan Valley.
.. IDF operating in Kalkilya and Shechem overnight - firefights!
🔸CEASEFIRE NEWS.. Lebanese origin: Great anger at the US envoy Amos Hochstein who did not even contact the decision makers in Lebanon before leaving the region yesterday and returning to the US.

A U.S. nonprofit has taken legal action against the Biden administration over support for Israel’s deadly assault on Gaza.
On Monday the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) filed a lawsuit in Northern District of California against U.S. President Joe Biden, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin for failure to prevent genocide and complicity in genocide.
Plaintiffs include the human rights groups Defense for Children International–Palestine (DCIP) and Al-Haq, Great March of Return founder Ahmed Abu Artema, founder of the 2018 Great March of Return, Nasser Medical Complex physician Dr. Omar Al-Najjar, and DCIP field researcher Mohammed Ahmed Abu Rokbeh.
...
"Genocide, the gravest of crimes under international law, defined in the Genocide Convention and implemented in U.S. domestic law at 18 U.S.C. § 1091 upon ratification, constitutes certain acts ‘committed with the intent to destroy in whole or in part a national ethnical, racial or religious group as such’ by, among other things: (i) killing members of the group, (ii) deliberating inflicting upon the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; and (iii) causing serious bodily or mental harm,” reads the complaint. “For the past 38 days, the world has watched senior Israeli officials use dehumanizing language in connection with their expressed intent to destroy and displace Palestinians in Gaza while imposing an unrelenting siege, and intentionally depriving Palestinians the conditions of life necessary for human survival. The Israeli military has dropped an estimated 25,000 tons of explosives on Palestinians in Gaza – the approximate explosive power of two nuclear bombs.”
“For the last five weeks, President Biden and Secretaries Blinken and Austin have stood shoulder-to-shoulder with an Israeli government that has made clear its intention to destroy the Palestinian population in Gaza. As neighborhood after neighborhood, hospital after hospital, and sheltering displaced Palestinians were bombed, while subject to a total siege and closure that denies 2.2 million people basic necessities for life, they have continued to provide both military and political support for Israel’s unfolding genocidal campaign while imposing no red lines,” said CCR attorney Katherine Gallagher. “The United States has a clear and binding obligation to prevent, not further, genocide. So far, they have failed in both their legal, moral duty and considerable power to end this horror. They must do so.”
In an October piece for Jewish Currents Raz Segal, an associate professor of Holocaust and genocide studies at Stockton University and the endowed professor in the study of modern genocide, called Israel’s assault on Gaza “textbook case” of genocide.
“Israel’s goal is to destroy the Palestinians of Gaza,” wrote Segal. “And those of us watching around the world are derelict in our responsibility to prevent them from doing so.”
William Schabas, the world’s leading legal expert on genocide, wrote in his declaration in the case, “I conclude that there is a serious risk of genocide committed against the Palestinian population of Gaza and that the United States of America is in breach of its obligation, under both the 1948 Genocide Convention to which it is a party as well as customary international law, to use its position of influence with the Government of Israel and to take the best measures within its power to prevent the crime taking place.”

How Real Estate Club works?
Real estate clubs are organizations that bring together individuals interested in real estate investment. These clubs provide a platform for networking, education, and the sharing of resources among members who range from novice to experienced investors. Typically, they operate on the principle of collective knowledge, where various members may share their expertise in different areas of real estate, such as property management, financing, or market analysis.
Membership in a real estate club often includes regular meetings, which can feature guest speakers, market discussions, educational workshops, and property tours. The size and structure of these clubs can vary considerably. Ventura County Real Estate Investors Club is one of the famous one mentored by Lloyd Segal. Some may be small and informal, meeting in local coffee shops or community centers, while others are large entities that host major events in conference halls with hundreds of members.
Tumblr media
The clubs usually charge a membership fee, which helps to cover operational costs and can provide members with access to exclusive deals or discounts on real estate services. A key benefit for members is the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals, which can lead to partnerships, joint ventures, or simply valuable guidance.
Real estate clubs also sometimes facilitate group investment opportunities, allowing members to pool their resources to invest in properties that might be beyond their individual financial capabilities. However, these collective investments typically require a higher level of structure and legal compliance, and not all clubs offer such arrangements.
Participants in these clubs must exercise due diligence, as with any investment-related activity. The value of the club is often directly related to the experience and integrity of its members and leadership. As a result, prospective members are encouraged to research a club's reputation and track record before joining.

Opinion: Here's what the mass violence in Gaza looks like to a scholar of genocide
Opinion: Here's what the mass violence in Gaza looks like to a scholar of genocide
Raz Segal
Tumblr media
I cannot stop thinking about the dozens of Israeli children held in captivity by Hamas and the Islamic Jihad in underground tunnels in Gaza, while above them Israel’s attack has killed, so far, nearly 4,500 Palestinian children. Stopping the violence, and returning the hostages, is urgent for any person who values all lives. That it is very difficult to imagine how this happens tells a terrible truth: Those with the most power to effect change refuse to recognize the humanity of all people.
There is little doubt that the Palestinians who participated in the mass murder of more than 1,200 Israelis and migrant workers on Oct. 7 did not see their victims as humans, and that decades of Israeli military occupation, siege, oppression and repeated attacks motivated this dehumanization. There is also little doubt about the dehumanization of Palestinians in Israeli society well before Oct. 7. Shirts printed by Israeli army units have depicted pregnant Palestinian women and children as military targets; calls of “death to the Arabs” have characterized the annual settler Flag March through the Old City in Jerusalem; and students as young as 13 in Israel sing anti-Palestinian songs, “hoping that your village burns down.”
Now, Israeli politics, society and media are awash with annihilatory language against Palestinians in Gaza, from the dehumanizing language of Defense Minister Yoav Gallant’s “total siege” order, where he referred to Palestinians as “human animals,” and journalists who have called to turn Gaza “into a slaughterhouse,” to banners on bridges in Tel Aviv that call “to annihilate Gaza.” Israeli state leaders, ministers in the war cabinet and senior army officers — people with command authority — have used such language dozens of times since Oct. 7 in a way that constitutes clear “intent to destroy,” according to the United Nations Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide.
On Nov. 13, the Center for Constitutional Rights filed a lawsuit against President Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III for complicity with genocide. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in San Francisco on behalf of Palestinian individuals and organizations. It requests that the defendants stop “providing further arms, money, and diplomatic support to Israel on grounds that there is an unfolding genocide by the State of Israel against the civilian population of Gaza and the U.S. officials have a legal duty to prevent, and not further, this most serious of crimes,” according to the center.
Read more: Opinion: Gaza's health system has collapsed, multiplying the war's toll on children
The submission to the court includes an expert declaration by three leading Holocaust and genocide studies scholars: Victoria Sanford, Barry Trachtenberg and John Cox. Sanford has written extensively on genocide and state violence in Latin America, especially in the case of Guatemala. Trachtenberg and Cox have published widely on the Holocaust. They stress in their report that the “levels of destruction and killings in just over one month, together with the annihilatory language expressed by Israeli state leaders and senior army officers, point not to targeting of individual Hamas militants or Hamas military targets, but to the unleashing of deadly violence against Palestinians in Gaza ‘as such,’ in the language of the UN Genocide Convention.”
The assessment of the three senior Holocaust and genocide studies scholars is accurate. Gaza now resembles Ukrainian cities after Russian bombings and invasions, but with levels of destruction and killings that have surpassed in less than a month what we have seen in Ukraine in nearly two years: Official U.N. figures from early September note that Russian attacks killed slightly fewer than 10,000 civilians since February 2022, and injured just above 17,500. Israel has so far killed more than 11,000 Palestinians, wounding nearly 30,000. It is important that Biden described Russia’s attack on Ukraine as “genocide” on April 12, 2022, commenting that “we’ll let the lawyers decide, internationally, whether or not it qualifies, but it sure seems that way to me.” In the same way, Gallant’s “total siege” policy, together with the forced displacement of more than 1.5 million of the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza, has created what sure seems like genocide.
Indeed, Palestinians in Gaza are facing a “slow death” of hunger and thirst, surviving on two pieces of bread and three liters of water a day per person — as much as 97 liters less than the minimum suggestion of the World Health Organization. The lack of clean water and the severe overcrowding in the southern part of Gaza — where hundreds of thousands of Palestinians from the northern part have fled — have markedly increased the risk of outbreak of infectious diseases. The lack of fuel and medical supplies, coupled with Israeli bombings of hospitals and the Israeli army operation inside Shifa Hospital, has turned hospitals into sites of mass death. And all along, Israel continues bombing the southern part of Gaza. No place in Gaza is safe from Israel’s assault, which is, in the language of Article 2 (c) of the U.N. Genocide Convention, “deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.”
These unfolding horrors render it extremely difficult to imagine possible futures beyond the violence. I spoke about this last weekend at Kol Tzedek, my Jewish congregation in Philadelphia, from my perspective as an Israeli and Jewish Holocaust and genocide studies scholar. I noted that Israel’s mass violence against Palestinians stems from a new Jewish identity, tied to the creation of Israel in 1948: Jewish supremacy. I also noted that white supremacists in Europe and the U.S. find Israeli state practices of Jewish supremacy inspiring  even as they hate Jews in Europe and the U.S. deeply. While Israel and its allies strive to portray any criticism of Israeli policies and violence against Palestinians as antisemitism, some of Israel’s greatest supporters, such as American white supremacist Richard Spencer or Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, are fierce antisemites.
This terrible fact should direct us to the roots of the historical struggle against antisemitism before the creation of Israel in 1948. It was a struggle that aimed to protect a powerless group from powerful states, not to defend a powerful state in its attack against a powerless group. It was a struggle for a people to live in dignity in a society where everyone’s humanity is recognized, not to legitimize a state where leaders, politicians and TV anchors call openly to wipe out places and people.
Imagining possible futures, beyond Israel’s Jewish supremacy, then, is for me a political act rooted in Jewish histories and Jewish identities that are not far removed from us. They point to the urgent need to forefront Palestinian voices and experiences, to humanize Palestinians in the face of attempts to demonize and silence them, to call for a cease-fire and the return of all the hostages held in Gaza and the political prisoners held in Israel and to insist on truth, justice and equality for everyone between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

Vendors Expo Los Angeles
Tumblr media
You'll discover at Basic Training Boot Camp why real estate investing can provide amazing returns while still being enjoyable and difficult. Additionally, you earn your returns in days (for wholesale), months (for fix and flip), or years (for rentals), in contrast to other investment types. Then why aren't there more of them? The reason is straightforward: they are unsure of where to begin. They are clueless about what to do, who to believe, or where to turn. If this describes you, you should attend our upcoming LIVE Vendors Expo Los Angeles in-person boot camp by LAREIC . You will gain all the knowledge required to begin by special mentor Lloyd Segal.

Day 14
Reflections on: The Terminal Man (1974)
This was VERY GOOD!
I liked Coma (1978) so much that I went searching for more 70′s horror movies written by Michael Chrichton that I hadn’t seen yet. This did not disappoint!
George Segal plays a complicated protagonist understatedly, effortlessly switching rapidly from one emotional extreme to another. His character is a computer expert who although paranoid about computers taking over the world is somehow the perfect candidate to have experimental surgery to implant microcomputers into his brain. What could go wrong?
Two doctors played by Richard Dysart and Donald Moffat would later be costars again in The Thing (1982). In one scene their characters hang out together at a party in the Frank Lloyd Wright designed Ennis House that would later go on to be the setting for Deckard’s apartment in Blade Runner (1982).
Simple, striking white on black title cards abruptly indicate the days of the week throughout. A woman hides in a washroom in terror while a homicidal, enraged man breaks a hole in the door and peeks his head in. Stanley Kubrick, who was a noted fan of the movie, directly copied both of these elements six years later in The Shining (1980).
The film looks sterile in a pleasing way. This combined with the minimal Bach piano soundtrack performed by Glenn Gould feels like it perhaps could have been influenced by Kubrick’s earlier works like 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968).
Despite being filmed in colour it appears almost entirely grayscale. The few exceptions to the monochromatic palette really stand out: flashes of red - a rose, or some blood, and all the surgical blue in the hospital scenes. Apparently the director, Mike Hodges, wanted to film it in black and white originally. It looks unlike any other movie I’ve seen.
A very long and mostly silent, yet hypnotic and gripping, brain surgery scene illustrates the weird, ritualistic nature of surgery. It feels almost alien.
Operating theatre. A concept that combines 2 deep fears into one horrific architectural nightmare.
In order to test the “limbic pacing by implanted computer” doctors in a control room press some buttons on a terminal to make George Segal’s character exclaim, “I’ve got to take a terrible leak”. What a great saying!
Fun fact: this is the first film to mention Scientology!
Waterbeds seem so impractical! How were they ever a trend?!
This demonstrates that every single shot of a film can be beautiful.
This seems very influenced by French New Wave films in the same way that Point Blank (1967) does. That’s also a great movie I just watched for the first time. It’s not a horror film but I still recommend it!
It’s a bit mind boggling to realize how this was deemed unsuccessful both commercially and critically in 1974, yet it went on to influence future iconic films. I’ve never heard anyone talk about this movie before!
Watch this!  Talk about it! Tell your friends!

Libro: https://amzn.to/3cF36pK
