See to me the umbro shirt is like the Olivia tattoo - could it be the exact same vintage shirt in a slightly different color worn just a few months apart from some man he “hasn’t been in the same room with for x # of years?” Could that tattoo say Olina or be a tribute to a dead cat? tmz billionaire bruce wayne spotted with rumored girlfriend, y/n l/n, in monaco this last week.

according to inside information, the two met at wayne’s latest charity gala where they were introduced by the head of gotham university’s bioengineering department. y/n l/n was brought as a guest of the head of department and is studying for her phd in bioengineering. she also has a masters in biotechnology.

apparently, the conversation was first about finding new ways to turn waste products into a more sustainable energy source as wayne had shown interest in this topic a while back however, the conversation quickly turned more flirtatious and number were exchanged.

actually after adding this story to another post i got so mad i'm making it a separate post

when i was a kid in a musical production of Peter Pan I got a largish role which was awesome, but i was already self conscious about my voice and during rehearsals for one of the songs the director came up onto the stage squinting like he had a mouth full of lemon juice and stalked up and down in front of us until finally he zeroed in on me and had us all stop singing and then had just me alone sing a couple lines and nodded and said "yeah, you don't sing anymore, just mouth the words silently" and then told the kids on either side of me to sing a little louder to cover it...

and no amount of knowing logically that he was wrong for doing that has helped me overcome my fear of singing in front of people after that

and there have been some other times people (looking at you, mother) have said things to similar effect

the real hell of it is, i'm like... i have a lot of songs in me. i'm constantly writing original songs that i'm too afraid to sing for anyone

here are a few. they each have a specific melody.. I wish you could hear them

i don't feel like complainin' 'bout my life today and i ain't got a lot to brag about so i'm just usin' this music to keep movin' and i don't mind if i'm a part of your show so look at life all over and it can be rough if gettin' is your goal you won't get enough but i got me and i'm free an' warm spinnin' and grinnin' in the eye of the storm

I have a Yuu that has really bad PTSD, trust issues and depression as a result of the overblots. They want absolutely nothing to do with the Octavinelle trio, the students of Scarabia and Rook and Vil (those three chapters are the ones that I am the most salty about).

Since Azul made them homeless, took away the only family and comfort they had in twst (Ramshackle and its ghosts) and sent the twins to terrorize them when Yuu tried to get their home back, Yuu doesn't trust a single cell in that octopus' body and whenever they see the octovinelle trio they just look the other way and try to escape without saying a word (it literally filled them with disgust when they had no choice but ask them for help with the Scarabia incident but it was that or suffer through getting kidnapped and locked up against their will)

I've read a few fics where Yuu collapses due to heat stroke when they were forced to take part in the sand marches and as someone with anemia that has fainted quite a few times in their life (and let me tell you, the first time I woke up after fainting and my eyes were wide open but all I could see was black for like five minutes - like I could hear and understand perfectly well but my body was limp and weak and I was surrounded by complete darkness even though the room was very well lit and it was a bright morning - I was terrified out of my mind) the idea of that happening in a place where you've been locked up and isolated in a hostile environment and knowing that you can't contact anyone because Jamil has isolated you from your friends would make their trauma even worse.

They can't step foot into Scarabia because every time they do, all they can remember was when they had a panic attack and bruised their hands as they banged on the door and begged and cried for someone to let them out - it's also the reason that they are now scared of the dark.

The worst part of it though - the day they had collapsed and was then locked up again was their birthday, a day that they had planned on spending with their Ramshackle family because they had no other family.

The basic guist of this Yuu is that they are so traumatised that they have zero trust in everyone because they don't know when other people would drop their mask and betray them the same way Jamil did. They know that the only reason the dorm leaders and dorm members are nice/respect them is because they are the ones that saved them from the overblots and they're kind of bitter that it took them nearly dying for them to be treated like a person and not some magicless nobody.

The only people they can stand to be next to are Ace and Deuce because they are the only people that actually stood up for them only because they liked them and not because they had to prove themselves (Deuce stood up for them during the grocery run and then Ace when Riddle insulted Yuu, Yuu's behaviour, Yuu's family and upbringing)

Also, sidenote, I really loved Ace in that scene. Riddle was taunting and insulting him and Ace was relatively calm about it but the second Riddle says a word about Yuu, he starts swinging. Also, notice how everyone blames Ace for throwing a punch for Yuu and how no one even cared that Yuu's feelings were hurt for no reason at all other than Riddle was on a power high - like Trey, buddy, this is what Ace meant when he said you were responsible for everything.

This Yuu is so broken that they can't sleep without having nightmares unless Adeuce are with them (they're like the human version of emotional support animals), that they break down sobbing when they see all of the scars that were caused by the overblots, that they feel phantom pains whenever they move, that they don't even go to adults because they can't be sure that they won't turn on them.

I just want Adeuceyuu and Grim just living in their own little bubble, living their us vs the rest of the school life, and just trying to help Yuu the best they can because NRC doesn't deserve them

YUU AND ADEUCE IN THEIR LITTLE BUBBLE GIVES ME IDEAS.

Maybe some power is awakened in Yuu and theyre kinda like Malleus where they do exactly that. Deuce Grim and Ace all taken away in their safe little haven as the rest of the world is shut out. Maybe Yuu kinda creates their own real./dimension in TWST in order to escape reality

Alright this has gotten VERILY out of hand so i am gonna have an absolute YAP SESH under the cut about my latest girl. Her name is Millicent, goes by Misery.

Inspired by the latest Diteline Kids lore dump (have some small doodles of those kiddos on paper somewhere), this is gonna be my VERY unofficial BlackIce kid. Very hypothetical and literally just made for funsies but she's really grown on me so let me tell you about her.

So she, is a spooky little angsty teen. Her voice has zero tone indicators, she has one (1) deadpan facial expression, and she is very crow themed.

(Her little shawl is probably enchanted to transform into real wings)

And the most hypothetical thing about her is her creation because I don't know anything about that lol. All I know is that she forms somehow completely alone and as a whole teenager.

NOBODY knows how she came into existence, not even herself as she's never met her bio fathers.

So, she goes around wandering for a bit before being found by Griffin who serves as "prime" parent for a time and helps her decide on a name! Befana also helps him out in this endeavor, also being attributed to only mother figure she has.

They teach her the basics of livin' life and getting a hold on her powers, being 95% shadowmancer. But after a while she decides to leave "home" and go in search of more expert magic training, really wanting to hone in on her craft.

This is when she meets one forest dwelling warlock, Fino Frost who is open to the idea of an apprentice. This however is very short lived as she quickly gets bored with the basics and starts jumping into curses and hexes, whipping about dark magic with little caution.

And when Fino tries to warn her about it and lead her in a different direction, she straight up tells him "You can't tell me what to do" and leaves him like:

So, she bums around Crystal Springs for a while causing a boat load of trouble for just about anyone she comes in contact with (because apparently that seems to be genetically dictated).

A couple major things about her is that her personality and magic are 100% Killian, but her LOOKS are 1000% Frost. She is a DEAD RINGER for a Frost kid.

So Fino, in their short apprenticeship (and while keeping an eye out for her chaos making on the continent) is already raising an eyebrow (smart guy) but doesn't have nearly enough to go off of yet.

It's only when she encounters the Diteline kids that things kinda take a turn.

She has been going around the springs and (like the angsty teen that she is) has been going by Misery and causing such in saturated amounts. Which will sometime put a damper on Joy's joy.

Misery is a real Wednesday Addams/Lydia Deetz kinda vibe, so she's been snuffing out whatever joy she comes across.

This eventually turns into a cartoon villain/protag set up where there's a strange almost one-sided rivalry between them as Misery kinda acts as the "villain of the week". Sometimes her siblings will join in whenever Joy goes on a mission to undo whatever Misery has caused.

And its only during one of these that Misery accidently finds out she has a little bit of ice magic! Not any more than Joy herself probably, but all four of them see it and confront it because there's only ONE family on the entire continent that has any winter magic, so this is WEIRD.

So the ditleine kids combine their one braincell each and come to the correct conclusion, which means absolutely nothing to Misery considering that she only knows who these potential birth parents are by word of mouth, so she doesn't really care lol.

But the kiddos go and try to look into this more, running into Uncle Fins who then corroborates on their story and gets fully filled in and now has A LOT of questions that need answering.

But I'd like for this secret to go nowhere further than that. Nobody else but the Diteline kids and Fino ever find out about Misery's parents.

The conclusion that they come to is that Jack and Kills are perfectly happy right now without kids, they've never wanted their own kids, and Misery doesn't seem like she's in any emotional distress and is taking decent care of herself, so they decide not to tell anyone else.

He offers her a place to stay again but she ultimately declines.

She goes around causing more trouble and eventually gets the attention of the aging Grand Witch of the Dark Arts, sensing the influx of reckless dark magic usage that's causing all kinds of problems.

So, SHE ends up taking a liking to this kid and takes her under her wing, herself in need of someone to take over for her, and trains her in the effective use of dark magic, which Misery actually enjoys so it does mellow her out a bit.

She is filled in on the parental situation and thinks her conception/existence is extremely funny but promises to keep the secret.

I think she keeps some contact with the Diteline kids (who DO call her cousin in private) as they grow up and I think she ends up being the closest with Robyn out of all of them. Being that they eventually become the Govenor and she the Grand Witch (where she starts using her given name Millicent again), id imagine they work closer in the beurocracy of sorts.

She will briefly come around in tiny family gatherings as a "friend" but nobody else will ever really know.

HiMERU: Oukawa fell asleep, possibly due to the program being so uninteresting.

Niki: His sleeping face's sooo cute~♪

HiMERU: Agreed. Moreover, since JoyLife requires absolutely no effort, Oukawa seems to have an abundance of energy to spare.

So, during his free time, he has apparently taken on various individual jobs.

And these are more proper, "idol-like" activities—dramas, magazine photoshoots, handshake events, autograph signings, and even some promotional appearances...

Niki: Kohaku-chan may be tiny, but he's full of energy, huh?

HiMERU: He likely only has the stamina suitable for his age and build. Yet, he pushes himself beyond his limits, which is why he ends up dozing off like this.

Niki: He's like a kid who plays 'til his energy levels drop to zero!

HiMERU: Hehe, indeed. It's rather enviable, and stunningly bright.

At what point did we lose this kind of "earnestness"?

Niki: I'm still the same way, though! Go, go, go, until I've got nothin' left in the tank! I'm always an elementary schooler at heart~!

HiMERU: ...That's more likely to be a result of your physical constitution.

Fufu. HiMERU is already an adult, so he tends to prioritize efficiency.

As it stands, there's no real need to stray beyond JoyLife. Its immense success alone brings both the fame and the wealth required.

In fact, some are even suggesting that we avoid additional activities and focus exclusively on JoyLife.

Niki: Man, the people who eat are pretty selfish, huh? We put all this thought into the nutritional balance when we cook, but then they're like, "I want curry rice every day!"

But if we actually give them curry every day, they start whining that they're sick of it.

HiMERU: That's an unusually nuanced remark.

Niki: It's pretty much how Rinne-kun was. He's basically just a tall kid, that guy.

HiMERU: Fufu. Parenting is no easy feat for either of us, is it?

Niki: Huh? I thought Kohaku-chan was the one taking care of you, though~?

HiMERU: Despite HiMERU being the one constantly supporting everyone from an adult's standpoint? Even this current project was brought in by HiMERU, was it not?

Niki: Nah, I meant emotionally.

Kohaku: Nn... Ah, shoot~ I nodded off.

HiMERU: Good morning, Oukawa ♪

Kohaku: Mm. I'd like to make an excuse, but I know it ain't proper for the actors to go criticizin' their own show. Still—this JoyLife's just plain too dull.

HiMERU: We are the performers, after all. Since we already know what's coming, it's bound to feel more monotonous to us than to the audience.

Kohaku: That's true, too. And I get that it's supposed to be the show's gimmick, but it's so uninspired it just makes me sleepier and sleepier...

-I don't think Taki has ever thought about what age he wanted to be, tbh? He's always been a very survival-driven, in-the-moment sort of dragon, not thinking of anything about needing to please his mother and when his next meal may be. It's part of why he was in such disarray when he was exiled; he went from only ever thinking about needing to be stronger, faster, better, and full to having zero structure in his life and zero idea what to do about it

Once he's hitting his 300s, though, then the answer is 'anything but when he was 17', lmfao. He ages into quite a lazy son of a bitch after a few centuries of easy seaside livin' with his mate XD

29. What recurring dreams do they have?

-I think that he had a few that he'd cycle through continuously when he was young: the first, that he was hunting a gazelle but grew weaker and weaker the longer the hunt went on, until he could fly no longer and Verada's claws snapped down on his neck. The second, that he was feasting on a carcass, but for every bite he tried to take, more and more would atrophy away before he could swallow it, until there was nothing but rotting meat and petrified hide between his fangs. The third would be him fighting endlessly through a bunch of snarling dragons, killing them in waves, and then fighting and killing all of his hatchmates until he reached Verada herself, upon which she would defeat him and tear him limb from limb, and the fourth was failing her outright and her being disgusted by him (which was what happened to him in canon). Very rarely it would be of him slowly losing his fire and growing colder and weaker the longer that he flew into the headwinds of a storm, but that's something that a lot of the Khazari experienced during the little ice age of Takhanobou's time

Lots of food dreams. Lots of dreams of killing other dragons before being killed by Verada. Growing up in a famine under a cold, totalitarian mother tends to do that to ya. The Verada ones would fade eventually, but even after he breaks free of her and finds solace in Theo, I don't think the dreams of food would subside. They'd just go to bigger targets, like spineback boars and ashland grazers (massive porcupine-quilled boars the size of mammoths and megafauna eland, respectively. As it takes a full court to take down a spikeback boar [a court is the name for a breeding Khazari queen and her male entorage], and he was hatched into a famine where only the high queen and her kin held the lands where the boars bred, Takhanobou never had freshly-killed spineback boar.)

Abigail often ordered me to get her a coffee from the cafe around ten minutes from the farm. Despite being the oldest by two whole minutes, she has zero respect for me. Sometimes I just want to tell her: ‘Go get it yourself’, but then she throws some logistical terms at me and how I should arrange it all by myself and then it’s checkmate.

So… Here I am, getting her coffee. 

As I near the only cafe in town, I already see Livia sitting next to the window. Her back ever so straight as she types away behind her laptop. I tap on the window and she looks up, breaking out in a wide smile, waving enthusiastically at me. The familiar bell announces my presence and I hold up my hand to the barista, before I make my way to her table.

I’ve had many drinks with Livia before she left and it was always nice. Back then I used to sit next to her, because she liked that, but now I decide to go for the safe option and sit across from her.

‘You know,’ Livia says, closing her laptop, ‘I have to say, there is a certain charm in bumping into the same faces all the time here Sapphire Falls. Especially when that same face is yours. You’re really not a punishment to look at.’

I place my hand on my chest, only to feel my heart pounding because of the compliment. ‘I’m touched, Liv. What were you doing?’

‘I was writing.’

‘You found inspiration?’

‘Yeah, I did, actually.’ Livia grabs her cup and brings it to her lips. After taking a sip, she says: ‘It’s just a short story, but I am hoping that I am able to create a full novel out of it.’

‘What is it about?’

‘Just a small-town girl, livin’ in a lonely world,’ she softly sings, terribly off key.

I cock an eyebrow. ‘Seriously.’

‘You’re no fun,’ she jokes, placing down the cup and leaning over the table. ‘It’s about an Indonesian girl growing up in a little town.’

‘So, it’s about you?’

‘Based off of me.’ She smiles and says: ‘I’ve always written about things I didn't know everything about. Writing about this, it’s therapeutic.’

‘So, there’s also a big handsome farmer in this story, I suppose?’ I ask with a smile.

Livia pretends to vomit. ‘Ew no.’

‘Ouch.’

She chuckles and admits: ‘I really enjoy writing this. I guess I just missed Sapphire Falls more than I thought.’

‘You did?’

She nods. ‘Yeah, the people, nature, your farm of course. It brings back so many memories. It’s… I… I don’t think I’ve made many fun memories in my time in New York, as opposed to here.’

‘Do you like it in New York?’ I carefully ask.

‘I do, but… I don’t really have friends. It was mostly me and my ex Ian and his friends. Other authors too, but they usually have their own personal lives and I don’t fit in there. It’s hard making new friends.’

There is so much I want to say to her, because I wonder if her life in New York was as glamorous as I always thought it would be. But her phone rings and she looks at her screen, before placing the phone on the table again. 

‘Ian,’ she clarifies.

‘He’s been calling a lot?’ I ask.

‘Non stop.’

‘He doesn’t take no for an answer, huh?’

She shakes her head. ‘He thinks this is just one of our many break ups, but to me it feels more… Definite. I’m really over him.’

And then I see it again. The pain in her eyes. She thinks she hides it well by staring at her hands, but I know better than that. She is hurting. That son of a bitch hurt her deeply. ‘Liv,’ I say, ‘look at me.’

She averts her eyes from her hands to me. ‘What?’

‘You’re better off without him,’ I tell her, despite not even knowing the guy, but it’s true. She is better off without him. No man is good enough for her. 

‘Sy, do you think I’ll ever be truly happy?’

Nothing changed with Livia. She always asked these incredibly deep questions back in high school at the most random moments. I wonder if she does it with everybody or if she reserves it solely for me. I’m kinda hoping for the latter. ‘Weren’t you ever truly happy?’

She shakes her head. ‘I don’t know,’ she then says. ‘I guess maybe when I was here, with you, Abigail, Chris, Bernard and Dottie. Maybe that was the only tiny taste of happiness I truly experienced.’

‘Want to further expound about it?’ I ask.

‘Are you asking me this because it makes you uncomfortable?’

I shake my head. ‘No, because then I know whether or not I should order a small or a large coffee.’

Livia smiles. ‘Maybe I want to, but I would also really like it if you just sit here with me.’

I walk up to the counter and wait until it’s my turn. I look at Livia, who stares out of the window. In these years,I’ve read her books. I’ve been meaning to tell her about how much I love her books, but every time something stops me. I want to tell her how it took me weeks to finish her book, not because it was dull, but because I’m a slow reader and I want to devour every bit she wrote.  

Her books were my only connection to her. 

After I ordered my coffee, I sit across from her again. She has pushed the laptop to the side and takes another sip of her coffee. 

‘Sy…’

‘Yes?’

‘Are you mad at me for missing Dottie’s funeral?’

I shake my head. ‘No, of course not. How can I be mad when you didn’t even know what had happened?’

‘I don’t know. I mean, I wouldn’t blame you for holding a grudge, I suppose. It was your mother after all.’

‘I can take you to her grave. It’s right next to my pops.’

‘I would really like that.’ 

Time goes by slowly, but it’s nice to just take my time and to talk to Livia. Hearing about her missing my mom, maybe even more so than I do. But perhaps that’s because Livia just learned about it and I had many years to mourn.

‘We’re still friends, right?’ Livia asks.

‘Liv, come on,’ I say. ‘You know we’re still friends. I don’t think I’ve been happier ever since you arrived here.’ 

‘I’m sorry for everything,’ she says. ‘I know you don’t want to hear it, but I just want you to know I apologize for everything.’

‘You’re right, I don’t want to hear it.’ I let out a chuckle. ‘Remember when we finally saw that shooting star?’

She nods. ‘Yeah, and you wished for me. Forever. Guess your wish didn’t come true.’

‘That is true, because I had to miss you for eleven years, but remember: now that you’re here, I want to be part of your life forever. Even when you go back to New York, I will make sure you and I keep in contact. Maybe… One day, you can show this hillbilly around in the big city.’

She starts to laugh. ‘I would like that. All of what you just suggested.’ Livia reaches over the table and places her hand on my arm. ‘Thank you, Sy. For everything.’

With a smile permanently plastered on my face, I walk back to the ranch and by the time I enter through the front door, I hear Abigail say: ‘Took you long enough.’

I think I totally forgot something. ‘Yeah…’ I hesitantly mutter, as I approach the kitchen table to see her sitting there. 

Her eyes darken when she looks at me. ‘Caleb Syverson, tell me you brought me back my chai latte.’

I clear my throat. ‘Oops.’

She groans. ‘What the hell did you do all this time?’

‘I was talking to Livia. She was at the cafe.’

Abigail barks out a laugh. ‘For fuck’s sake, Sy. It’s quite unbelievable she still has that effect on you.’

‘Shut up,’ I grumble. 

‘You still love her loads, don’t you?’

‘I thought I told you to shut up?’

She nods. ‘True, but I am deciding to ignore that. Come on, it’s obvious she’s not over you.’
