He sounded...Disappointed? He expected someone higher up on the rankings, someone truly horrible to inflict his vengeance on...Not some G-Rank amateur. But, it was at least a lead for no-

He was thankful that he aimed just for the arm, as Ironhand panicked suddenly, flailing him arm around as the acid tore through the metal. If it got through the metal, and reacted with the gun’s ice source...

Ironhand rushed to disconnect the arm from his shoulder, grunting in frustration until finally he unplugged the damn thing. Without hesitation, he lobbed it away from himself, only for it to explode at a thankfully safe distance in the air. Chunks of ice and metal rained down from the debris, leaving a very confused, frantic Ironhand literally...Armless.

He kept the palm aimed on the Villain, circling them slowly as he watched through narrowed eyes. Villains were cruel, and full of tricks, so he had to expect the worse, and never let down his guard…

“18 MONTHS AGO. TECH LAB DESTROYED IN VILLAIN ATTACK. WHAT VILLAIN?”

Now, why would some two-bit quirkless vigilante want anything to do with one attack out of…How many between then and now?

“That was over a year ago…” He groans, rising to his feet and lifting a hand. “Don’t shoot. I think…I think it was Livewyre. They’re the most likely culprit for tech stuff. I’m…not on speaking terms with other Villains, much less working with em. Now you’re gonna let me go.”   JJ was right to not trust Scalejaw, as the Villain drops his mask again and spits a glob of corrosive bile and mucous at the ice gun to try and burn it out, and maybe inflict some pain so he could get away. The glob sizzles, eating into the upper layer of metal.
