NEVER STOP BLOWING UP SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 7: DANG DANG REVOLUTION
picture for me: you are olivia skyler. you inhabit the body of a large gangster man due to being sucked into a vhs tape with people you've grown to see as more than just your co-workers. these people have become your family- better family than your own. they let you have control of your actions. they support you when you need it most.
and one of them is being taken over by the body she inhabits. and you are so incredibly scared- you don't want to lose her. you cannot lose her. so you have a crazy idea.
your once-infatuation, now friend slaps you hard across the face. you place your hands on her head. gently, now. your family takes your hands and guides them- wendell, and his friendship- paula, and her sisterhood- russell, and dang, and your large hands feel something click.
she opens her eyes. she shouts, "what the hell is code??" as you and your family are near tears. you nearly lost her. it would've killed you to lose her.
but they helped you save her. your familia. your alpha squad, riding into the fbi offices on boars to save you. your friends.
and you finally feel at home. safe, supported- you have a good life. this is the best it's been.

the Never Stop Blowing up premiere was fantastic! (SPOILERS AHEAD)
All the PCs were fantastic!! JACOB’S DOME DEBUT AAAAAAH he was so funny. Liv Skyler you will always be famous
I love the inclusion of the storyboards. I love true genuine reactions of fear, panic, or bewilderment in the characters faces/actions because OBVIOUSLY!! Wendell’s “heavy breathing”, Liv covering her face, Paula’s everything, Usha. It’s so great.

The implication brought by Ify’s choice to have Vic speak is something I really have been mulling over. And the thoughts @spiralsublime brought on how Paula may change Jack Manhatten really touches on one of the main things I’ve been thinking of.
The characters and the pcs are all on this journey together. Just like the pcs will change from this experience, it makes sense that so would the characters, I really hope they touch on that.
Being the driving force is something they all have in common.
They go out and do stuff, create an empire, stop a terrorist attack, hack into an enemy’s system, you name, rather than quiet support, giving advice, or standing on the sidelines.
But now, these incredibly proactive people, are forced to be in the passenger seat for this journey.
They have to watch someone with a wildly different personality, skillset, and experiences inhabit their space and life, making different choices and approaching the issues and details of their life with brand-new eyes and perspective.
They have to watch this perspective play out.
Vic looking out for the scared, confused teen he saw, whose tossed into the wild life of Vic with no experience, and being unable to take the driver’s seat himself, has to instead be a guide.
G13, a guy whose been said to be “angry as hell”, has to watch over the oldest lady ever, going through his high-speed, high-stress life, tackling issues entirely different (and at times, entirely wrong), who requires patience and calm ("yelling...").
Watching someone inept at technology handle an important issue, while you know how to do it, can be infuriating but watching over this with pride instead of anger. (And also, she keeps insulting him. That’s not the point but I love that choice from Rekha)
Kingskin is going to watch this perfect-height teen girl stumble her way through his tasks. This ruthless guy whose inspired such deep fear in his men, watching a much kinder teen possibly bonding with one of these men, forming bonds of trust with a group.
And, if my reading of Liv isn’t totally off, the dynamic of watching a teen who is this valedictorian that got into Stanford and is seen as someone who can “escape this town”, who might feel a lack of control in her own life, trying to reclaim some power through shoplifting, suddenly in a position of complete power and control.
How it must be to watch Ms. Liv “I guess I feel fantastic” Skyler, Navigating through having actual agency and control in her life for the first time, as someone who’s always been very authoritative as Kingskin.
Maybe even someone as morally bankrupt as Kingskin can end up guiding Liv, in taking reigns of her own life.
Okay, this is already way too long (Alex’s characters always make me have so many thoughts lol), and I didn’t even go into the others, like Dang and Russel have so much going on there, just know that I am going to think obsessively about all of this.

Note
42-48 for the get to know your characters ask game please! Use anyone you want, surprise me!
hahaaaaaaaaaaaa this is going to get long! Ten is in normal text and Concerned is in italics.
42. Is there anything in your character’s past that they regret, haunts them, or they wish they could change?
Kai wants to have been less of a jerk in the beginning.
Riley kind of regrets being a dick to his adoptive moms in the beginning of their adoption.
Bayleigh wishes she could have saved her mentor, Eryn, and that she was still around.
Haeun is haunted by the time she lost control of her powers and accidentally hurt her older sister
Dakota is haunted by the things that was done to him during his experimentation--doesn't regret it, but has nightmares about it and is scared a lot
43. Does your character have a switch that changes aspects of their personality whether they are around friends, family, etc. Is there someone who gets to see their true self?
Bayleigh is hecking PR queen. One minute she'll be ready to absolutely destroy someone and then reporters come up and she flips a switch to "nice sweet PR girl"
Imani definitely is different in a psych session than she is with Liv. And when around the kids.
Riley's personality is super different when they're trying to get something they want.
44. Is there a particular event that would emotionally devastate your character?
Riley's is probably their little sister getting severely injured, or losing Dakota.
Hakim wouldn't be able to deal with someone on the team getting severely hurt bc of a bad call he made.
Bayleigh's... Ha. haha. hahahaha. Um. I may or may not have done that to Bayleigh. I may or may not have killed off the one adult who cared about her. But now for Bayleigh it would be losing anyone else on her team.
Siham would not be able to handle losing their family or their found family. They bond themselves so tightly that if they lose that, they'll be inconsolable
Dakota is perpetually afraid of hurting Riley with his strength. He couldn't deal with that.
Ace could not lose Skyler or Schott. (which. Will happen but they'll get strong enough to deal with them dying of old age)
Haeun couldn't handle losing control and hurting someone again.
45. Is your character the kind to hide their true emotions or do they wear their heart on their sleeve?
Kira shows her emotions on her sleeve, well more like how her hair moves with her emotions. Kai tends to hide his emotions.Hakim is an open book.Skyler hides their emotions.Riley is uh...Riley.
Bay is the queen of stonewalling about emotions.Haeun hides some and shows others, but is a bit more private.Dakota, Ace, and Siham are all very open.
46. What is some random affectionate thing that your character always does to their lover?
Dakota will lift Riley up a lot when he's super happy/when he needs Riley to get some hecking sleep
Bayleigh (more in private) likes to tap Hakim's butt. It seems like. Sexual. But for her it's more like a little expression of affection that doesn't overwhelm her.
Hakim does little touches, like hand-holds, constantly.
Riley's are all sexual lol
47. Is your character outgoing? Would they be the leader of the friend group, or the quiet one that gets dragged along?
Kira: She's homeschooled, and due to being called a 'freak', is very shy. She'd be the quiet one that is dragged along, unless it's Kai. Kai is the one getting dragged around by Kira.
Kai: Kai doesn't have any friends until the team (and that's only after he gets nicer), so he's the one who is dragged around cause he doesn't know what to do really.
Hakim: Though he is the leader of the group, he is actually a follower most of the time. He likes to listen to others before making decisions.
Riley: Leader. Hands down they lead. Not well, but they don't care.
Skyler: Follower. All the way.
Bayleigh and Siham are more leaders. Ace, Dakota, and Haeun are followers. Siham and Ace are very outgoing.
48. Is there anything in particular that would ignite your character’s jealousy? Or does your character not get envious?
The only jealous character I have is Bay, and even then she's not THAT jealous. But she gets a little bit possessive when Hakim gets super deep with someone that isn't her. She's also jealous of people's normal, happy families.
Kai in the beginning, is jealous of everyone having (to his knowledge) a nice, happy family.
Kira is sometimes jealous that other people look "normal."
Riley had some jealousy with Haeun, because Haeun and Dakota were pretty close (they have the whole "I'm terrified of killing my loved ones with power I don't know how to control" thing in common) and Riley wanted the emotional intimacy that Dakota and Haeun had.

FCKIT:THEEND
Now on to the biggest one! Because I’m bringing all my muses to this verse since it’s my jam!! Personalities are the same, again, bios will be changed probably.
Tumblr media
Ookkkk so, everything that happened during childhood/teenage years remains the same. Aka moved a lot and his parents left after he graduated highschool.
Same goes for his job, trained to become a cop and all.
As for alcoholism, it was definitely there. But once the virus broke out, it was like an instant cure for it. He wanted to keep everyone safe, and he obviously couldn’t do it while under the influence.
Anyway, he was already in Kola when it happened, so he helped build up the safe haven. He knows his way around quite well.
He now acts around the place as kind of a fighter, or a guard. If someone’s going out on a mission, he’ll propose his help and be the one to protect them.
Tumblr media
Ok so in this verse, I’m going to change her around a little.
So she was born in Russia, with a twin, criminal daddy, that doesn’t change.
But her mother never got them to leave the country. So when the virus appeared, they were still in Russia. It was only later on, through her dad’s connections, that they heard about Kola.
Getting there was hard, since the virus was everywhere, but there were a group of still clean people and working together, they managed to make their way to the safe haven, much, much later.
So she’s still ALL about books and boys, that ain’t ever gonna change. But she uses it to cheer up people. Despite the situation, she tries to see the best and try to help people feel better.
But I mean, obviously it’s not all rainbows and butterflies all the time, but she tries.
Tumblr media
Oh God ok now this might be a mess.
But his parents never discovered he was gay here, since it happened when he was about 20-21. And so, never became a thief either.
Anyway, when the virus appeared, Elliott was at the top of the food chain in high school. Hella into sports, dated tons of girls(he was still not exactly aware of his sexuality back then), so when it all started, people in his class looked up to him in a way.
But he kind of just... let them down. Ran as fast as he could to go back home to make sure his parents and brother were fine. But his parents weren’t there, neither was his brother. He stayed there for a while, but they never came home, and during that time, the virus just spread.
So after some time, he decided to venture out, try to find other survivors. Literally, despite the huge manor he had, all he could find to defend himself was a baseball bat.
So he did find a small group of people, they told him they were heading to Kola.
Then started the long way from Detroit to Kola. During which they found more people, but also lost many people.
They were only five when they got to Kola. But in the end, he was the only one to make it safely inside. They got surrounded, they couldn’t fight them all off, so they ran. But they couldn’t keep up with him. When he reached the wall and looked back, they were all gone.
Anyway, that got him to be called the Runner, because he outran quite a lot of those zombies. But apart from that, Elliott doesn’t go out much. Unless needed, he’ll stay within the walls and help there.
Tumblr media
Ok so, backstory mostly remains unchanged. Aka rich and wealthy family but he got disowned because he went into arts instead of becoming a lawyer.
When the virus came, he was just graduating college so that didn’t impact on his passion.
So he was in Kola, and helped building up the walls. But he was better at drawing and painting what was happening.
The place he resides in currently has a humonguous amount of sketch books full of drawings of the safe haven and the effects of the virus. It’s like a big encyclopedia of sort, retelling, in a sense, the happenings of this apocalypse.
He prefers not going outside the walls, but a few occasions he will, but only if they remain close. When he does, you bet he definitely carries a sketchbook and doodles what he sees.
Tumblr media
Ok this is the one that probably changes the most? Because hi, he’s not in a mob this time!!
Ok partial lie, he was in a mob. See, his backstory is similar, in terms of he got shipped off to the US and familial problems. But he was about 24 when he got to the US, and was not settled in Kola. He was actually in New York.
So he was in that mob for about two years, until the virus appeared. Then, he just used the chaos of it all to disappear from them.
So he heard about Kola being a safe haven, and he found a small group of people that were heading there. They were mostly civilians who’d never held a gun before, so he kind of took the lead for them. He actually planned their way so well, they only lost one of them.
When they arrived in Kola, he decided it was the perfect opportunity to turn his life around. So far, he’d only been killing people, now he was going to save them.
The group he was in kind of praised him for his ability to get them(mostly) safely there, so he decided to kind of become a planner? He just hellped by giving people directions of what to do and stuff like that when they were going out of the walls.
And he used his knowledge of forensic pathology to help advance with a cure but... yeah he doesn’t particularly like that, so he prefers helping those going out, or going out himself.
Tumblr media
So since she was still in France in 2011, I’m going to change it a little bit. And say her mother had just married an american man and moved them to the US when the virus spread.
Still, Lavinia was always kind of a queen bee, privileged princess kind of girl, with big dreams.
When they arrived to the US, they were actually in Los Angeles, so getting to Kola took no time at all. And when they arrived, Lavinia made sure to get special treatments. Perhaps not from older people, but those her age? She owned them.
She kind of became a privileged girl there, prefers to stay within the walls in the quite big house they got(shared with another small family), doesn’t raise a finger to help anyone.
But even if she acts like it’s not affecting her, she’s definitely scared of what is going on, scared the virus will spread within the walls. She just doesn’t tell anyone and keeps it to herself.
Tumblr media
Ok so still an adopted kid, family wise that doesn’t change. But since the virus appeared just as she was graduating high school, Maureen never became a nurse.
She was already in Kola though, and since she loved helping people, she tried to help every place she could.
Definitely going to headcanon that during the years, she did learn a lot of nursing theories by helping those who were already nurses before it all happened.
Definitely, she goes out a few times to help some groups, or if a group is coming back and they have injured people she goes out to help them.
Definitely, if you need help or anything, PLEASE GO TO HER.
Tumblr media
Olivia was still raised alone by her hunter father. While they didn’t live in Kola, they lived in a small house located pretty much in the forest around Kola.
So they didn’t actually realize at first when the virus spread, but they heard it on the radio. And when they did, there were already some zombies around their house.
Her dad sacrificed himself so she could get a chance at running all the way to Kola. Which she did.
Since she’d always been quite solitary, Liv kind of did things her own way. She was still quite solitary within the walls, didn’t take help from no one.
And would often venture out, alone, either to go find other survivors or find some medicine or things like that.
In short, she wants to help, but she doesn’t trust people enough to let them help her.
Tumblr media
Ok so backstory wise, Skyler is pretty much the same. When the virus appeared, she was 20ish, so she was working on getting her mother’s brand back on tracks.
She was actually in New York when it happened, on a travel trip to get some investors back. Skyler had a room in a hotel, and that’s how she found a group of people who planned on going to Kola, since they called it a safe haven.
But they were all untrained, neither having any training with weapons. So in short, they were done for. At least, until they stumbled on a man who clearly had more experience they than did. And yes, that man was Kieran.
She kind of felt safer now that he was there? And will forever be grateful for how he got them all to Kola.
But now she’s here, she feels a little lost. No traces of her mother anywhere, can’t find any of her friends, and she’s scared. She’s frightened, and so she mostly stays locked inside.
She has better days when she tries to go to others, but she really can’t do much except be frozen in place out of fear.

Doce episodios. Estreno: 5 de febrero
A favor: Marca consolidada, intentan repetir el éxito de The X-Files.
En contra: No es un revival. Seguimos con la moda de estirar sellos.
youtube
The Good Karma Hospital (ITV)

Completan el reparto George Basil (Flaked, No Tomorrow), Artie Lange (MADtv, The Norm Show), T.J. Miller (Silicon Valley, Cloverfield) y Henry Zebrowski (Heroes Reborn, A To Z). Incluye cameo de Sarah Silverman (Masters of Sex). Escrita y protagonizada por Pete Holmes y producida por Judd Apatow (Girls, Love). Ocho episodios. Estreno: 19 de febrero

17. Early Morning Cuddling
Ten here: This is super short and has zero (0) plot but I need y’all to understand how in love Imani is with her girlfriend mmkay. Please ask about Liv she’s Amazing
Imani loved her job.
It was incredibly fulfilling and she loved seeing the kids she was around grow. Seeing Kai slowly make friends, seeing Haeun come into her own, seeing Riley and Bay learn slowly that they didn’t have to keep themselves closed off, watching Skyler give themselves time to breathe, and so so much more. Every time Kira did a session without stuttering or Ace mastered another “human” thing or Hakim showed that he was learning to trust himself...she couldn’t imagine too much that would have been more rewarding as a job. But there were challenges, and one of them was being away from Liv every weekend.
Naturally, Liv couldn’t be at the base with Imani. For one, it was a heavy security risk, and for another, Liv just had different things to do. Sure, she occasionally helped work with the security at the base, but she always came and worked in the common area, and that was if she was even allowed back where the kids were. And sometimes she did help Riley and Kira, but Imani didn’t interact with her much aside from a smile or two or a hello. She didn’t think PDA was professional, and was always paranoid about revealing that she was with Liv in a work setting. Again, it could spell danger for her.
But that didn’t make the distance easier.
Then again, the weekends with distance made Imani treasure everything even more when she did get to be with Liv. Like now, for example, waking up next to a very sleepy Liv. Imani took a moment to revel in how beautiful her girlfriend was, even sprawled out over the bed and with the loose bun she put her hair in completely askew and half knotted-up. They’d been together for almost two years, and though it hadn’t always been easy, Imani was just as in love with her as she’d been in the beginning, if not more so.
“Morning, beautiful,” Imani murmured as she looked adoringly at her girlfriend. Liv made a sleepy moaning sound and reached in Imani’s general direction, patting around and missing entirely. Chuckling to herself, Imani moved closer, and when Liv’s hand made contact, Imani was pulled into Liv’s embrace. “I love you too,” Imani giggled, looking up to press a kiss to Liv’s jawline. Usually Imani hated how short she was, but she couldn’t deny that she was the perfect spoon for Liv, and she loved how snugly she fit into Liv’s hold. “Babe, you know I’m gonna have to get up.”
“Noooo,” Liv mumbled sleepily into Imani’s hair, squeezing her a little more tightly. “Y’re warm.”
“Unlike you, I can’t work until two in the morning. I have to get up eventually.”
Liv groaned. “Fifteen minutes for cuddles,” she sleepily insisted.
“Alright. I suppose I could spare fifteen minutes.” There was no uncertainty in her voice--Imani deliberately woke up early so she could savor these moments. Having such different schedules meant that Imani was usually fully asleep before Liv went to bed, and Imani was usually up before Liv, and not by a small margin. Every little moment was special.
Imani practically glowed as she snuggled back into Liv and pressed a couple feathery kisses to her cheek, neck, chin. She’d never imagined she could be this happy.
