So... if I may ask... If you don't like muffins... why name yourself after them? If this is worded kinda rude, I'm sorry.

No worries! Not rude at all

There is some backstory to this though and the payoff ain't that great

So like, waaay back when I was a young teen kid-brat, my friends and I were super into World of Warcraft, right around with Burning Crusade launched. I was at a sleepover party with the gals and we took turns making characters (only one of us had bought the expansion) and playing around.

When it was my turn, I made the most evil looking little draenei I could think of, and then named her LittleMuffin cause I thought the gap between the mean appearance and cutesy name would piss off my friends (which it did).

Then days later, when I bought the expansion for myself, I made a Horde blood elf. Since draenei and blood elves are on opposite factions, I named my cute little blood elf "MuffinKiller", cause she would probably kill the draenei, you know?

Look it made sense at the time.

Anyways I became the annoying girl child on my server and made a name for myself as "Muffin." Then I became an alt fanatic. This spawned a bit of a theme...

Online I normally go by "Malicemuffin" and when I write my webcomic, that'll be the name for the author and such.

As for Magia Record, I was originally posting on my main tumblr blog but ended up making a new one because I was rapidly becoming super obsessed. What to name the new blog? Muffin Record, naturally!

Anyways! Like I said, lots of backstory but not actually that interesting overall. All of this muffin theme came from a stupid joke to piss of my friends a looong time ago.

Update on Oscar: The vet team said he did pretty well today but was still very sleepy. According to the resident, “He just hung out with us and napped a lot!” 😆 Not surprising since his body is still recovering from the surgery and whole ordeal of the giant stone. He finished day one of two of his fluid treatments, receiving sub-q fluids under his skin. He is urinating but still not defecating, which is important for him to do soon to get his system restarted since the obstruction is now gone. They made him a nice salad, but he still won’t eat, so tomorrow they will sedate him again to place a feeding tube. Once stable in another day or two, he will hopefully be able to come home with the feeding tube in so we can easily administer medication and make sure he’s getting the nutrients he needs while his body recovers. Unlike a bird or mammal, it is nearly impossible to get medication orally into a tortoise who refuses since they can basically lock their jaws and pull their heads in! Thank you to all who have donated toward Oscar’s emergency visit over the weekend and his hospitalization, surgery, and medicine this week at UCD. We also appreciate all the kind messages and everyone who has been checking in on him.
