i was rereading the trial scene in sqh bc a post reminded me of it and

ppl talk alot abt how yellowfang told squirrelflight to take in the kits and then was on the trial against them but

she and tallstar were the only cats who consistently defended them ???

sidenote but bluestar and crookedstar seem super out of character here. Bluestar, obviously, was in a halfclan relationship, but even after that she didn't punish graystripe at ALL. her rationale was that he'd suffered enough, and squirrelflight and leafpool both suffered immensely as consequence. furthermore, this is the same cat who believed so strongly in mercy that she kept brokenstar alive under the risk of being attacked by the other clans.

crookedstar's mate's mother was in a crossclan relationship. his brother was in a crossclan relationship. his daughter was in a crossclan relationship. for the latter two he was in a position to do smthn abt it, and chose not to

When I was younger I always thought Littlecloud was implied to be a munchkin cat and was surprised later on when I realized that was never really the case and that he was just generally a small cat. I still like to headcanon he has proportionately short legs
