Natsuyuu Anime S7EP11 VS Manga Vol22 Ch.88-89

I cried while watching the live broadcast last night, and I cried again when I did this competition.

Anime deleted the "I'm going out(ittekimasu)" at the beginning.

Anime simplified Natsume's dialogue, completely missing the explanation that the youkai may only appear after hearing about the Yuujinchou, and just jumped into conclusion . As usual, I won't mention all of the simplification of dialogue, only for the important ones.

Deleted Natsume's question about why the youkai's name was written on the book.

Deleted the youkai's first impression of Reiko.

The youkai's thought was also deleted here, and Tsuda-san replaced it with a very cute "eh" LOL

In manga, Souko's book has no title. But in anime, it's "The Mermaid Princess". (or "The Little Mermaid") (The mermaid princess was ultimately unable to express the truth and her feelings to the prince she rescued, and turned into a bubble and disappeared...)

Deleted "you are not the one making noise here"

Deleted "I have no one to chat with"

Added Souko's disappointed expression when Reiko said "No"

Deleted Reiko said "I'm wondering why they are making noise"

Simplify Souko's reason for coming here (in manga, she said she didn't want to stay alone in a home she wasn't used to, and wanted to find a place where she wouldn't run into people)

Deleted various match types between Reiko and Souko.

Souko's dialogue in manga implied that she seemed to be in good health when she was a child, but it was only recently that she became like this, and she seemed to be not resigned to it. Anime simply showed her poor health.

In anime, Souko simply said that she was very happy recently. In manga, she clearly stated that it's fun to spend time with Reiko.

Deleted the youkai thinking the flower field may be the secret place Reiko found while hiding from youkais.

In manga, the youkai sometimes called Reiko as "人の子". But in anime, it's just Reiko.

Because this page was a transition between two chapters, the dialogue is rather lengthy. Therefore, anime Souko did not repeat Reiko's name and what she was like. Anime also deleted the line about Reiko fighting with boys.

Manga contained the usual name returning dialogue when Natsume returned the name. There's no dialogue in anime when the name was returned, but Natsume's monologue later mentioned the name of the youkai (and because this episode has a special ED, the name of the youkai appeared first on the CV list, which I think is interesting)

Deleted youkai's farewell to Natsume.

"I don't understand why you're so mad at me!" Carmen's voice was exhausted, cutting with an edge that had your eyes rolling, brushing your teeth with a new kind of fury, sure the bristles of your toothbrush would fall right off.

"'m not mad." You said around the toothbrush, spitting your mouth full of foam into the sink. "I'm just... fucking over it, Carm."

"Over what?" Carmen sighed, shoulders drooping. "What did I even do?"

"What you always do, Carmen, what do you mean?" You sigh heavily. "You're never around."

"I'm at work." Carmen countered. "You said you were fine rescheduling."

"Yeah, the first time." You rolled your eyes. "I'm sick of bending my relationship around the restaurant."

"Then why didn't you say that?" Carmen yelled, eyes bulging in exasperation.

"Because I shouldn't have to!" You yelled back. "I'm not even asking for a lot, Carm! I just want you home sometimes. I just want to see you."

Carmen ran a hand down his face, shaking his head. "Then why didn't you just say that to me?" He sighed, frowning at you.

"Oh, you mean like how you say stuff to me?" You countered, arms crossing over your chest. "Carmen, you are the king of avoiding."

"Yeah, then guess what that makes you, Princess." Carmen countered, a bite in his tone you were used to. Defensive, just like you were. It was something you were all too familiar with.

You stared, glare vs glare, on opposite ends of the apartment. Neither one of you were breaking first, that was for sure. "I can't even do this with you tonight, just drop it." You huff, throwing your hands out in exhaustion.

"See? But I'm the avoiding one? You don't even want to talk!" Carmen yelled.

"You don't want to listen!" You shot back, slapping the bathroom lights off. "You just want to fucking be right!"

"And what about you? What are you doing?" Carmen countered.

"Trying to tell you that I am not happy with our relationship right now!" You roared, that familiar fire, burning anger and rage bubbling out of your chest.

Carmen flinched, looking at your with wide, blinking eyes. Both your chests heaved, breaths passing between each other from across the room. You could feel it, the instant regret. Sharp words always spilling out to hurt before you were, to win and destroy before the opponent could- opponent. Carmen. Carmen was your opponent here. It was wrong, he was your boyfriend, the love of your life, and yet, you were treating him like he was against you. Like this relationship was a battle to be won.

Your stomach turned, a sharp ache that had your mouth filling with spit, that familiar lurch having your mouth pressing together.

Neither one of you spoke, a stand off between the two. Your cheeks flushed. "I-I didn't mean that." You muttered.

"No? Sounds like you did." Carmen snapped, defensive- you didn't blame him.

"I didn't like that." You sighed, rubbing a hand over your forehead. "I just mean... I want to spend time with you, Carm. I feel like I never see you."

Carmen nodded, just taking in your words for a second. "I wish...wish you would've told me that."

"I wish I didn't have to." You muttered back, flinching at the malice in your tone. "'m sorry. I-I don't know why I'm being so defensive I just... I miss you, Carm. I really fucking miss you."

"I miss you too." Carmen nodded. "I get caught up, ya know?"

"Yeah," You nodded back. "Yeah, I know."

"Tomorrow night." You lifted your gaze to meet his. "I'll make sure Sydney can handle it. It's a Tuesday so I'm sure it'll be fine, but... you get me all to yourself. Whatever you want to do."

You grinned. "That would be nice."

"Yeah, yeah, it would." Carmen nodded, taking a step closer to you. The first move, the first break in your little game. "Are you still mad at me?" He asked, eyes lifting hesitantly.

"No," You whispered. "Are you-are you still mad at me?"

"No, baby." Carmen cooed softly. "I just don't like it when we fight."

"Me either." You pouted lightly. "I'm sorry for not just... just telling you what's wrong with me."

"That's alright." Carmen nodded. He understood, he really fucking did. Knew how your mind worked better than you did sometimes. "I'm sorry for not listening. For deflecting. I've been told that's something I need to work on."

"Yeah? By who? Sugar?" You giggled gently.

"She's one of 'em who says it." Carmen matched your smile, reaching for the edge of the made bed. "Are you ready for bed?" He pulled down the comforter, a soft, pleading look in his eyes. Let's put the fight to rest, please.

You nodded, grabbing your side and turning it down, slipping under the cool sheets with Carmen, legs tanged together, arms pulling each other closer and closer, tiny sighs and soft whispers under the linen.

To tell you guys the truth, I’ve never really been too big on the Mario Tennis games. Don’t get me wrong, they do have their charm, but they just weren’t as exciting to me as the Kart and Party games. But that doesn't mean I dislike them, far from it. My personal favorites are Power Tennis, Tennis Aces, and the subject of today’s art; N64’s Mario Tennis, and this art was made as a (belated) 24th Anniversary to the game, hence Peach and Daisy’s classic designs <3.

Also made this as a (belated) 35th Anniversary to Miss Daisy herself. Wanted to draw her and Peach together because A. It’s been a hot minute since I’ve last drawn her and I’m over the moon that I’m doing it again, and B; last year and this year has just been one big W for both of my girls. Like, I finally get a Mario game where I can play as my fav Princesses that isn’t Kart, Sport, or Party related? Yes please! 💕

I just have a huge love and appreciation for both of these ladies, I’ve always hated the whole Peach vs Daisy rivalry that was so prominent back in the fandom back in the 2010s (not to mention how kinda toxic they quickly get 😬). Thankfully things have calmed down, but I still do see it here and then sometimes. Especially really hate how Daisy is often portrayed as this catty, spiteful, mean girl bully-type character towards Peach in fanart and animations. Ik she’s meant to be sassy and spunky, but having her do unnecessarily violent things like catfighting and throwing things at Peach just feels kinda wrong to me. Nintendo literally describes the two as being, “sisters in arms”, so can we just not make them be toxic towards each other for one damn second 💀

Personally, I think they both rule. They’re not perfect characters and they have their flaws, but that’s what makes them great. Plus I’m a huge sucker for the whole trope of the girly girl and tomboy duo. I was a mix of both as a youngin’, so I immediately related to both princesses. I love Peach’s bubbly, poised, and unapologetically girly personality, and I love Daisy’s boisterous, fun-loving, and sporty personality.

Also had a little bi-crush on both of them as a kid, but that’s a whole subject to talk about for another time 👀👀👀

Akatsuki no Yona chapter 60 magazine vs volume

Hi everyone! I managed to get my hands on the clip out of the magazine version of chapter 60 from Hana to Yume issue 17/2012, and as we don't have much trace from the magazine versions of the chapters from then, i thought it would interesting to share my findings! First, the color page: the editor text says "What will become of Yona and the others? The suspens is agonizing, but?!" (baby trio time!!!!!!) Otherwise it advertizes volume 9 and how well it's been doing. It was the first ever volume to get a special edition and cover with a new drama CD and comments from the seiyuus! Something that I can't help but find a bit ironic is how they really highlight Takuhiro Sakurai as Tae-jun on the bottom right and ah yeah...this didn't age too well.

Behind the color page, it shows that Hana to Yume was (already back then) having a special Yona Crimson Festival campaign. This is when belated Kentaro Miura drew an illustration of the whole main cast that could be win in a lottery, with a reproduction of the special cover of volume 9, autographs of the seiyuus from the drama CD and Kusanagi, and a totebag with Ao that I had never seen before. Miura apparently said that he just ended up drawing the whole cast since it grew a lot (since the time he had only drawn Yona and Hak I assume).

Then to the chapter in itself. I know Kusanagi started really making changes between the magazines and tankoubon(volumes) in relatively recent years so I didn't expect to find any difference here honestly but I found a few! I also find it interesting to see her author's note, the summary of the plot and presentation of the characters etc all around.

So! Page 2 and the first page of the chapter. No change with the manga page from the volume we know of here, but I thought it would be interesting to share for what's below. I honestly am a bit too lazy to translate the whole synopsis as I don't think it says anything novel or specially interesting (I can still do it if someone insist), but I found the characters presentation sweet since it's different from the one we've been getting for every chapter for a while, and it's very cute too since it's specially for this flashback mini-arc.

Yona: Kouka Kingdom's Princess. She is an only child who lost her mother at a young age. She is preciously raised by her father and King Il.

Suwon: Yona's cousin of three years older. He has been gently watching over Yona like a little sister ever since he's little.

Hak: The successor of Mundok, General of the Wind Tribe. Later on, he'll become the servant and bodyguard of his childhood friend Yona.

Now on to page 4: Yona's hair and face were redrawn on the third panel! The movement lines next to her head were erased too. For the text and font, you can also see that the font of the first bubble was changed for the default one, and that they're formated it slightly differently in the last box. We don't often think about the original lettering in manga and how they can also change between raw and volume do we?

Page 7: It's not like this change matter much, but I was so surprised and happy to find out that this iconic page had been modified as well. The third panel that showcases how lively Kuuto is was completely replaced with people playing music. I think the volume version indeed conveys Kuuto's atmosphere much better (like why would Yona be so amazed at two men talking and drinking really), but it's interesting to find out that back then they struggled to find what to put there precisely. From a creative process pov this is so relatable lmao.

Other than these two pages before, I haven't noticed any other change, but I thought I would share Kusanagi's author comment!

"I'm so so happy. I can't believe Miura-sensei drew me an illustration of Yona(and of the whole main cast at that!). This boost me up even more to do my very best! Thank you so much (happiness)."

Nothing special on the last page, but if anyone wondered if there was some editor text here to tease the next chapter...well no there isn't nfjbfhjbg. I so wish I could get my hands on chapter 61 too...

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get my hands on much more of those but I also got chapter 24 with this one, and I noticed a couple of things I'd like to share as well so stay tuned for that :)

Powerpuff girls and Rowdyruff boys relationship in my AU

This is just my headcanon for the PPG and RRB relationship with one another in my AU

Blossom and Brick: Absolutely despise each other. The only reason Blossom hasn't put Brick in the ground permanently is because she's a hero, and Brick could never beat her in a fight.

Buttercup and Butch: Rivals who become friends in the future, but thats late 30's-40's. I Can see Buttercup being the most willing to give the trio a chance but also holding them accountable no matter what. Butch just likes pissing Buttercup off.

Bubbles and Boomer: Rivals, to friends, to lovers, to complicated ex's to acquaintances. Their the only two I can see even becoming friends or romantically involved but not lasting.

Blossom and Butch: Both found each other annoying but interesting. Would have ended up together if they hadn't met their partners first (Blossutch is my second otp)

Buttercup x Boomer: Little sister's ex and to stupid for his own good, vs Ex older sister that has a temper. Could be friends if things were different.

Bubbles x Brick: Brick see's Bubbles as a dumber weaker version of Boomer, and Bubbles see's Brick as a pathetic prick and that Princess and Buttercup deserve better. Also Bubbles could wipe the floor with Brick but chooses not to as she doesn't want to be as violent as him.

Blossom and Boomer: Feels bad for Boomer but blames him for his and Bubbles break up. Boomer actually envies Buttercup and Bubbles for how kindly Blossom treats them.

Buttercup and Brick: Ex's that could have made it if Brick could get over his ego but that never happened. Brick is still bitter as Buttercup did make him happy.

Bubbles and Butch: Enemies only because they don't interact outside of fights. Would be best friends if given the chance though (Butch would be wrapped around Bubbles finger)

"Mai only turned against Azula for Zuko"

Way to prove you don't know shit about the character. Like, even the line "I love Zuko more than I fear you" already shows Mai's problem with Azula isn't all about her boyfriend. It is not healthy or normal to be afraid of your friend.

And Mai HAD been rebelling against any authority figure she didn't like/respect LONG before she started dating Zuko. In "Return To Omashu" we see her being annoyed at the life her parents expect her to have, and then gladly, willingly joining Azula - but before it she said "Please say you're here to kill me." Sure, it's a joke that Azula appreciates, but still demonstrates Mai is aware that her friend is very dangerous and that while Azula is her friend, the princess is not. She also goes out of her way to ask what the hell Ty Lee is doing there since the circus was "her calling", and as a response she gets "Azula called a little louder", once again confirming to Mai that if she, for whatever reason, had decided to stay in Omashu, it would mean trouble with Azula.

We then have "The Drill" in which Mai openly refuses to obey Azula during a military mission that could mean early victory for their nation in a war that has lasted a whole century. She even said "She can shoot all the lightning she wants at me." THAT'S how little fucks Mai gives about putting herself in danger just to prove NOBODY can force her into anything she doesn't want to do.

We also have Mai side-eyeing Azula in "The Headband" when she interrupts her date with Zuko and basically orders her to leave, instead of waiting for their date to be over or just kindly say "Mai, I need to speak with Zuko in private. It's really important, can you give us a moment?" Just zero respect, which obviously bothers her. And let's not forget her yelling at all three of her friends to leave her the fuck alone in "The Beach" - the same episode in which she broke up with Zuko because he started crossing the line.

The Boiling Rock is just the inevitable pay-off to what had been set up since Mai's character was introduced to the audience. She has to pick between her dysfunctional friendship/subservient dynamic with Azula, or save the flawed but still loving boyfriend she loved and that actually corrected some of his bad behavior after their first break up. The choice is OBVIOUS. It's not "Friendship VS Romance" or "What I want VS What my boyfriend wants", it's not even "Selfish love VS Selfless love" because Mai turns on Azula BOTH for her sake and Zuko's.

On Mai not speaking out in defense of Ty Lee

You can't help someone that doesn't want to be helped. Ty Lee had tried to say no to Azula exactly once, and it led to threats of physical violence or even death. Naturally that scares her into keeping quiet - Ty Lee's seeimgly blind support and obedience to Azula was directly shown as a parallel to Mai's acts of rebellion. Once again, even in the first scene of the three of them together, when Mai demonstrates concern for Ty Lee, she basically gets a kind, cheery, bubbly "Sorry, forbidden topic! Talk about something else and pretend everything is fine!"

It's not unlike that Mai believed that, if she tried to defend her friend, all she'd accomplish is have both Azula and Ty Lee herself turn on her. It isn't until Ty Lee has to choose between the two of them in the Boiling Rock that Mai realizes there were still lines her friend would never allow Azula to cross.

"He didn't even consider taking her along when he left the Fire Nation! She could have helped a lot!"

In Zuko's own words as to Sokka as to why he left Mai behind "I couldn't drag her into this." Zuko and the Gaang were not friends, and he literally offered to be Aang's teacher and prisoner. He also knew he'd be hunted down both for his treason to the Fire Lord and because of the people he was no associating with.

He knew Mai could handle almost anything (hell, when she says to a guard that she doesn't need protection, he smiles proudly and AGREES). But that doesn't mean he'd be totally okay with asking her to throw her whole life away for him and potentially be imprisoned or killed if shit went wrong.

And once again, let's get back to the "You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped." Mai CLEARLY didn't have a problem with imperialism and war - again, she joined Azula willingly, and both her and Ty Lee had a lot of fun being the Gaang's worst nightmare during "The Chase." She even argues with Zuko that he is not saving his country, he's betraying it.

Mai changing sides just because she trusted Zuko, even against everything she had been taught to believe her whole life, was not at all something Zuko saw coming - hell, MAI didn't see it coming - of course he did not think that she'd agree to leave him.

On Mai and Ty Lee not escaping the Boiling Rock on their own

Can't believe I have to point out that since that was the main point of that place, but THE BOILING ROCK IS NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO ESCAPE. The Gaang were literally the first to accomplish that, barely. It's not that surreal that Mai and Ty Lee either couldn't do it, or felt they had to wait a little longer to even try since all eyes would be on them since they were the newest prisoners AND one of them was related to the Warden which could make him decide to facilitate their escape somehow.

"Zuko didn't even try to rescue her!"

He was teaching the Avatar firebending. His life-changing field trips with his new friends were not vacations, they were missions. They were VERY close to the day his father was gonna burn the Earth Kingdom down. Aang, their only hope. fucking disappeared during the big day due to spirit shenanigans beyond his control. Zuko then also had to fight his own sister in an Agni Kai and nearly died.

Needless to say, he was a little busy.

"Zuko doesn't even remember she exists when she's not around!"

Oh the irony of a ZUTARA shipper saying that. Literally the only time Zuko remembered Katara was because of water from the spiritual oasis that could have possibly brought Aang back to life - aka it had nothing to do with her as a person because, at that point, even after the Ba Sing Se thing, Zuko saw her as nothing more than another obstacle/enemy on his way to regain his honor.

Meanwhile, in "Zuko Alone", when he has not seen her for at least three whole years, he remembers the prank Azula and Ty Lee pulled on him and Mai as kids because of her crush on him. In Ember Island he is going nuts with jealousy (not healthy at all, but still, proof that he WANTS to be with her). On the day of the eclipse he leaves behind a letter explaining himself to her and even says "I'm sorry, Mai" even though there's no one around to hear him because he just never wanted to leave or hurt her. And on the first part of the Boiling Rock episode he is gushing about how much he loves her - we know they're about to be reunited, but he doesn't.

If that is indifference, I can't even imagine what love looks like.

About the letter and "Mai just taking him back after it"

Definitively not a nice way to be broken up with, but totally understanble given the context. And even with that, Mai still calls him out for it, says she's "saving the jerk who dumped me", and in the finale she brings it up AGAIN as they are reconciliating. Typical Mai stuff: forgiving and understanding, but never taking shit from anyone.

About them only seeing each other again in the finale

THAT was a plot convenience - but it does not apply solely to Maiko. Sokka goes to free his dad, but doesn't remember Suki has ALSO been taken prisoner, and then very next episode Hakoda left him and Katara for really convulted reasons and somehow they didn't go after him. Zuko also didn't think to tell Iroh he was gonna take him out of prison so they could go join the Avatar on the day of the eclipse, and didn't try to go looking for him until the last episode. There's also the random "Katara is confused about her feelings for Aang" plot that is introduced in "Ember Islands Players" and goes nowhere.

It's the typical "forced drama that can only be resolved when the writers feel it'd be epic enough" stuff. We have to take it with a grain of salt.

"Ty Lee joining the Kyoshi Warriors makes no sense, and Mai hated the Fire Nation nobility so she shouldn't have ended up with Zuko"

Ty Lee not wanting to be part of a matched set, then finding true happiness by joining a group and learning that she can still be an individual is the classic "ironic ending" Avatar likes - see Zuko and Aang becoming friends when they started out as mortal enemies. The only problem was the lack of development taking us from point A to point B, but the idea itself was fine.

As for Mai "hating" nobility... WHAT? She didn't like being told what to do, sure, but she never resented the perks that came with being in the "elite" - she and Zuko spend half of "Nightmares and Daydreams" bossing people around while making out on her couch, and she even suggested doing that again as a way to cheer him up when he was sad.

And even if she DID hate everything Fire Nation nobility USED to be about - the whole point of Zuko becoming Fire Lord is that he will change everything. How is Mai supporting him, regardless of their romantic relationship, in anyway a contradiction? It makes perfect thematic sense!

Conclusion

Zutarians, please stop talking about things you clearly don't understand to pretend your OTP is the only thing that would ever make any logical sense.

Pomni- General internet goer and one of those Youtubers that made "day in the life" type vlogs showcasing how much fucking pressure she's under, has a pretty loyal and caring audience for her despite herself, ~100,000 subscribers or so and she *tries* to respond to every comment.

Caine- Not so much an Influencer persay but more so of creator of the popular social media apps and tries to be #hipwiththekids...it does not work very well he's posting Pokémon Go and Harlem shake memes in 2024..bless his heart

Bubble- Caine's social media manager! He's a little better with being hip with the kids, up to date with memes n stuff but he also gets attention in...less than convential ways. Think of what was happening with the Norm of the North Twitter account, just weird..weird shit.

Sun & Moon- They act as a duo of sorts on Tik Tok and they make skits and #unhinged humor that is probably liked by majority of everybody. Nobody can tell if they're dating or just friends, since Sun will say the most unhinged shit and Moon will just sigh dreamily at it while reciting a poem or shit. Moon has to stop Sun from responding to hate comments and going off on them and finding their address n shit.

Gloink Queen & Gloinks: The Gloink Queen is one of those Facebook moms who takes pictures of their children(her Gloinks) every time they do anything, even when they're crying, because she thinks it's "cute". She gets fairly popular at first and even gets to sell merchandise however as her audience grows, so does her criticism but Facebook doesn't do anything about it and she continues to exploit her children for views and attention.

Princess Loolilalu- Tiktok influencer that shows the daily life of a royal. She's fairly unpopular but she was the hot topic for a week because people thought she was flexing and she had to explain she wasn't trying to, she was just trying to show the daily life since some people in her kingdom had inquired about it. She gets very low engagement but she admires every comment she gets. She starts to shift towards more crafty stuff after honestly getting a bit bored filming every second of her life and that grows her audience a little bit.

Gummigoo - Tiktok Influencer that make illegal life hack videos and him just working on a farm(I assume he does cuz he gives off cowboy vibes) and he's unintentionally thirst trapping through those videos, which gives him a pretty large, dedicated and possibly a little too obsessed, audience.

Zooble- Youtuber that talks about the most depraved shit that people do in humanity, think like iceberg videos about shitty people online or the dark corners of Reddit and 4chan. Also probably has a second channel where they play *nothing* but Plants vs. Zombies 2 because idk it's funny and they need to do something else to not get entirely depressed

Kinger- He is a Youtuber, techinally, though he doesn't know how to operate a camera very well. Most of his videos are just snippets from his life, cooking some food, badly singing his favorite songs, and sharing a little too much of his life online. Still, he's regarded as Youtube's grandpa.

Kaufmo- A YouTube "prankster" that would do the worst fucking things imaginable(not illegal but..close to it) and one day he did..something..and he got killed for it as a result, it was all caught on camera. He was criticized a lot for doing what shit he was doing and when he died, it was covered but nobody was suprised.

Ragatha- If Kinger is the grandpa of YouTube, then Ragatha is the grandma because she posts a lot of crochet and stitching how tos while also sprinkling in her personality and some of her other interests, like making a crochet Undertale plushie or something.

Gangle- She's a very famous twitch streamer who is...I don't even know really how to describe it but she's very like "uwu" abt everything as her streamer personality yknow? And..I mean..it works, she gets enough donations in a 1 hour stream to pay her rent for 2 months so..as for her content, it depends, sometimes it's horror games and other times it's just chilling with chat.

Jax- Jax is...also...a streamer. He does snuff streams where he gets donations to torture people and stuff. It's illegal but he makes as much money, if not more, than Gangle.

Wish: The City of Dreams - Concept Soundtrack

I haven't talked about Wish in a while, so let's fix that--

SO I have talked about this project for a little bit now and since I just finished rewriting all of my lyrics, I think it's time to release some info on the soundtrack!

Stronger than Ever Before By: Tangled The Series Cast

So this song is like an alternate "Welcome to Rosas" kinda thing. It introduces the plot, and showed how the kingdom has changed since the end of Wish (how everyone's doing now that Magnifico is gone, etc.)

This song also introduces the events that are to occur later in the film, which is the return of Sophia, or the "Jewel" of Rosas. I've added snippets of Sophia traveling through the kingdom as the song goes on in the screenplay, which I will be sharing soon :)

Princess Rising (Original Title: The Moon Rises) By: Ponyphonic & fritoley

This is the first song that I completely rewrote. This was originally a MLP song, but I changed up the lyrics to fit the story. In this song, Sophia is coming to the realization that no, everything is not better now that Magnifico is gone, and she's going to do something about it.

I'm going to be adding a bunch of magic in this song, as well as a time bubble in which she looks into the past and sees what exactly happened to her beloved father (reminiscent of a certain Disney character with the gift of foresight 🐀).

Good to be Royalty (Original Title: Good to Be King) By: Journey to Bethlehem Cast & fritoley

While in the Wish fandom, I saw a LOT of people talking about this song and how it would be an AMAZING villain Magnifico song, so I thought it would be a really great idea to include it in the film.

However, it's not just Magnifico singing this song. I decided to turn this song into a duet, so it's not a total rewrite, like Princess Rising. I've edited some of the lyrics, as well as rewriting the second pre-chorus (you'll know when you see it).

Let Me Make You Proud By: Tangled The Series Cast

This is the song Asha is going to sing when the "villains" have taken over the kingdom, and she realizes what she must do to save Rosas. Due to Sophia being the "protagonist" of this film, I really wanted to put Asha in a more "antagonist" role, even though she's not evil. I wanted to put her in a tough position where she has to see the errors of her ways in order to move forward, and I think this song is the way to do it.

The Man I Used To Be By: Thomas Borchert

Believe it or not, this is a Magnifico song. I know what you're thinking; wasn't he just a power-hungry supervillain in Good To Be Royalty? Yes, he was, but just like how I saw many people in love with a truly villain Magnifico, we also loved the idea that Magnifico wasn't actually the villain.

So why does he sing this song?

This is meant to be his "redemption" song, where just like how Asha sees where she went wrong, Magnifico comes to realize that the things he did were wrong, and he wants to change for his family. He sees how his mistakes are affecting his daughter, Sophia, and he doesn't want her to follow in his footsteps to defeat.

Ready As I'll Ever Be By: Tangled The Series Cast

This is where all parties come together for the final battle. Sophia is getting ready to unleash her big spell to take total control of the kingdom forever. Asha and The Seven Teens are rallying to fight back. Even Amaya and Magnifico have come together to save their daughter. It's a classic good guys vs. bad guys fight that's sure to have you cheering on your favorites.

Let Me Make You Proud (Reprise) By: Tangled The Series Cast & fritoley

This is a pivotal point in the story, where Asha and Co. finally defeat Sophia. As you can hear, the original does NOT fit the theme I'm going for, so these lyrics were rewritten as well. The way the final notes start as quiet and serene and build up as the tension rises is a great way to portray the difficult choices all the characters made to get to where they are now.

So there you have it! I know I adopted like half of the Tangled series soundtrack but whatever floats our boats yk--

9 chapters left to wrap up everything (based on thumbnail of fastpass episodes and image leeks we have possibility: Blaine VS Frederick, and then with Prez; Prez becomes a were-spider, Maria finally forgives Frederick as she sent along the animals ensemble to help him 'running to the opposite direction of everyone, the reveal of the big bad wolf in Gwen's dream and the giant serpent in Frederick's dream, the stolen portrait be shown and thus relates to the third dying wish of Lilyth, continuation of Lilyth's story as her image still blurred although she's smiling + How Gwen wakes up from the slumber spell while Leland approaching)

Those things really hard to wrap up in merely 9 episodes - but I know LambCat could manage, with likely every episode has new OSTs? That's gonna be so amazing

'One Epilogue Episode' likely gotta be the episode 170 - which uploaded after the wrap up of everything till ep 169. There's so many 'loose ends of plot points along the way' outside the Pastel Palace like: What does Nell see in her vision? What Isolde cooks in Plaid Kingdom? Does the unnamed elderly foot guard that wants to opening up the limoncello gotta be important like deus ex machina? How Jack reacts after seeing everything - and will he brings the Omniscient Clam? The future of relationships between Pastel and Plaid kingdom - especially Gwen and Frederick? What happened to the CPC as the entirety, as they're bursting in the Pastel Palace should already shows 'abnormal' they are to melts the iron barred door etc?

OEE could be anything but I feel it's likely gotta be timeskip - for how long? I somehow can't imagine for years (if that's the case we get Gwen and Frederick wedding, but I feel that's too soon and likely happen later as not in OEE) but in shorter time as the following:

Days: that means the wrap-up and cleaning up of Plaid mess -> we have Jack's reaction properly as his bubble burst out horribly with the worst betrayal by Leland

Weeks: the clean up is already done, then season changes to the winter and everything finally 'return to normalcy and peace' -> I imagine this gotta be the perfect opportunity to welcome Frederick (having him had Slumber Party!) properly as the newest member of the CPC, with Gwen likely that gives him the PANDA keychain and everyone at the CPC gets resolutions (like the hopes of curses could be broken, is not always with the 'cure-it-all' of true love's kiss but other things like self-love w/ hint of romance)

Months: the nice timeskip to shows resolution of things being established, relationships - CPC likely get renovated and established properly as proper instituion to helps the cursed people - Plaid Kingdom had rulership changes as the Plaid King got accountable to his crimes (who'll ruling? or if the rulership changes from monarch to anything else? Whatever it be, I just want the Plaid folks espc Plaid Princes to be happy) - Pastel Kingdom accepting the CPC existence properly and make adjustments for them, and already dealing with portaits stuffs espc Lilyth's. This gotta be the most wide but plausible timeskip to not skipping most of details instead going with years timeskip

A retake of Hansel and Gretel, with Prince Jamie as Hansel, finding a gingerbread house owned by a lonely witch. -> I feel if Jamie meets the witch again, he'll said his thanks to her as Gwen is saved with her info - and he grows closer to Leopold

Prince Frederick dreams about one of his favorite fairytales, about a man stuck in a hole being lifted up by an angel of fortune - but he's the man stuck in a hole, and the angel of fortune is Princess Gwendolyn. Frederick dreams about becoming the hero of the Dogyssey, encountering monsters along the way to reach his angel of fortune.

Frederick is very unique as the character that had two bonus episode with the theme of him as the protagonist of his fave tale and Gwen becomes his angel of the fortune. I predict if we get 'little bonus episode' it's gotta be a retelling of the tiniest prince which shows his journey so he could return to his lover - the rose - the Angel of the Fortune - Gwendolyn

The CPC members that didn't attend Gwendolyn's Dinner Party try to entertain themselves - and Saffron asks the backstory behind Jolie's curse. Jolie's story starts in her homeland, the Lace Kingdom, which was 'saved' by a mysterious dealer... Jolie's curse story is concluded when the mysterious dealer asks for his end of the bargain...

If the Omniscient Clam isn't omnious and won't asks dubious price for being asked, I say it's gotta be deus ex machina that helps the CPC members to breaks their curse. I find it's gotta be interesting little stories as each member has chance to learn more about their curse and how to breaks it. I am stand to belief that every curse could be broken somehow, by learning more about the nature of the curse first - and, the cure isn't always to be "the true love's kiss" but other else...

Curses can be cut short (or lifted or broken) by:

Giving back a stolen item, apologizing, or otherwise setting right the original offense. = meet the curser basically

Completing an Impossible Task.

Dying and coming back, usually as part of finding a loophole in the curse. = only could work if there's time travel element

Passing it on to someone else, like a bad penny.

Killing the curser or otherwise getting them to die. (Not effective in cases of a Dying Curse.)

Beat the Curse Out of Him: A less drastic tactic. Results vary. For a country, putting the rightful king on the throne. (This may or may not fall under the first as well.)

The Power of Love. Sometimes this simply requires actually being loved by someone else, sometimes it requires the person to receive True Love's Kiss to seal the deal. Furthermore, many curses are susceptible to the Power of Love even if it's not supposed to be a condition of the curse
