Unpopular opinion: i don't think that Aegon was a ra**t and an enjoyer of child fighting pits or abuses his wife in the book and i say this a someone who prefer Rhaenyra and team black in general. Helaena and Aegon shared a bed together+ Helaena was said to be a happy and joyful princess+ she has never said or hinted at anything that imply she is being abused like Naerys+ if Aegon ii is an abusive husband Grrm will not shy away from pointing that out, he has pointed out that Aegon iv , Aerys and Robert are shitty husbands.

Aegon was said to be creep with servants in his wedding day which is despicable but not in the same level as a serial p*edo rap**t like in the show. That's come directly from mushroom and he is known for lying alot+ was in dragonstone at that time. So for the showrunners to go with mushrooms testimony about aegon is just weird especially when they talk so much about how they want to portray everyone as grey and sympathetic but then they destroyed Daemon's complexity and "greyness" so who knows 🤷🏻

hi! first of all I also try to be objective with all the characters so don't worry, I complitely understand where you're coming from.

Let's break down a little bit about what you said about Aegon, shall we?

I definitely don't believe he was abusive the way the mad king was with his wife for instance (I've seen this comparison both from anti Aegon + ppl who ship Helaena with other characters). There isn't a single hint that Aegon was abusive or shitty with his wife. infidelity or indifference are not abusive characteristics and in the f&b they end up having 3 children, and as you said grrm doesn't shy away from mentioned how terrible soem marriages are. Both the marriage of Helaena/Aegon and Viserys/Alicent was fine.

I suppose, from another perspective, we could come up with the excuse that since jaehaerys had deformities and jaehaera was reported to be "slow" (+she was a girl) they could have been pushed to try for another "better" child, hence leading to Maelor.

But still, I simply cannot imagine book Aegon II to be raping, and beating his own sister. It's purely a fanon interpretation that lot of fans like going with for their own reasons.

Now, when it comes to him being generally a rapist with his servants/whores I'm very conflicted. Like you, i used to believe that it could be an exaggeration. Mashroom melodramatises everything, and the Septon - while he's technically team green in the story he's still a maester and an anti targaryen like all maesters are so it's not like he's more reliable by any means.

However, I've listenered many arguments from the other side (that does view him as a rapist) and they have some valid points; like him being told he occasionally harassed servants couldn't be a "one time" thing. Sure the word rape isn't used in the context (i suppose in modern terms SA is more appropriate) but who is to say he would only "touch" once and let go? He was a man in a position of power still.

You see, I started thinking about Aegon position's pre-war; he grew up with his mother and grandfather whispering about Rhaneyra who - as a woman - was made heir and was technically in the position that by misogynistic westerosi standards should have been his, his father showed more favoritism to his nephews (Viserys adored Aegon's children too but I imagine Alicent wouldn't point that out). While we're told he was "lazy" it's impossible to not imagine his pride and ego being hurt from being so very obviously casted aside as a firstborn son.

From a course I've done in gender studies, as well as personal research, studies show that rapists have some common characteristics such as:

- a lack of empathy - narcissism - feelings of hostility towards women

There are also several types of rapists:

- opportunistic rapist: who seizes any chance for sexual gratification, such as the loss of self-control on the part of their victim under the influence of alcohol. - sadistic rapist: whose motivation is to humiliate and degrade victims - vindictive rapist: who has anger and aggression focused directly toward women. Such a rapist believes he is permitted to sexually attack women because he feels he has been hurt, rejected or wronged by women in the past

and many more. So with that being said, I did change my mind and started viewing him as a rapist in the book.

Honestly, I think the bigger problem are the feelings of shame the fandom brings to people who continue to like characters like these. Perhaps, a part of myself had originally wanted to come up with reasons to view him as a non-rapist so I wouldn't feel guilty about finding him interesting. At some point I reminded myself that you can like the most angelic character and fandom space will find a way to insult you, so Aegon being a rapist shouldn't be a reason for you to be "forbidden" from liking him. He's not even the worst asoiaf character in terms of crimes. Some people are salty because of the growing fanbase - which I understand, because some stans are delusional.

Now in regards of him being a pedo, it's something I actually don't agree with. It's extremely disappointing how such terms are heavily thrown left & right without thinking of the context and worldbuilding of asoiaf-verse

The pedo accusation comes mainly from this part:

The Testimony of Mushroom claims Ser Criston found the young king-to-be drunk and naked in a Flea Bottom rat pat, where two guttersnipes (<-term for poor/homeless children) with filed teeth were biting and tearing at each other for his amusement whilst a girl who could not have been more than twelve pleasured his member with her mouth

I've seen the take that Aegon gets off from seeing kids fighting one another, but i just think this comes from someone who simply hates him to the core. He was there for entertainment, he was drunk, and had 0 care about being seen in sexual acts at a public place.

The fact that so many people have been surprised at the existence of the fighting pits is a bit shocking because in the books we see fighting pits in the Slaver Cities of Astapor, Meereen, and Yunkai. So it's nothing knew. Sure, the whole thing is disgusting but so are many other things in asoiaf verse so idk what people are expecting.

Now the bigger issue is the girl who we're told by mushroom she's 12 and gives Aegon a blowjob. As you mentioned mushroom is known to be lying and at the time he was in Dragonstone,so how could he even know?

In another ask, I mentioned how I don't side completely with either mashroom or the Septons because I believe the truth is most likely somewhere in the between.

Septon Eustace called what mashroom said an "ugly picture" but admitted that Aegon was in fact found with a "paramour" and he insisted she was a well cared daughter of a wealthy trader.

Now, Septon Eustace's bit is also rather... convenient, wouldn't you say? First of all he doesn't mention the girl's age, makes a reference to her wealth to make the situation seem better, which is very suspicious

As I said, my interpretation is somewhere in the between; maybe the girl could have been a simple daughter of a poor trader and Eustace added the "wealthy" part so the girl wouldn't be seen in a disadvantageous position. Maybe she was 14 or older and Mashroom reduced the number to make it more shocking and worth of gossiping etc

Of course one could say that even if that was the case, 14 is still a child. And to that, I have to remind everyone that while that's the case for our world, asoiaf has more gray areas. Here it's mentioned how technically coming of age is 16,but we've seen many cases both in f&b and in asoiaf of girls having ahd their period much sooner and getting married/having children because of it. So, if that girl had "bloomed" by westerosi standards then she was technically "of age"

As for the show portrayal, I honestly cannot understand what they had in mind with Aegon, because on the one hand they portrayed him as whiny & depressed, abused by Alicent and Otto and ignored by Viserys - which of course makes the audience sympathizes and then they turn it around and he's suddenly a shitty husband according to Helaena and a rapist who his mother covers for.

To me it seems like they couldn't make up with their minds about how his character should be because while you can convey sympathy for a terrible character (perfect example is Viserys, Daenery's brother) it seemed like they couldn't find the connection between the two to make a proper image of him.

As for Daemon I agree with you they destroyed his complexity and made him a piece of crap whose sole focus is his brother and his niece, but I gotta say, while I know the showrunners have mentioned they want to "portray everyone as grey and sympathetic" in the show, i think their result is more "men are evil and women are victims" because they suck big time at writing and have misunderstood completely the themes from f&b

its mari's concept we developed together into a little story

basically its an au that includes, as you mightve guessed, matt and tom, wherein tom is an orphan child living in a village town who meets a forest spirit - matt, and slowly befriends him.

well, thats a Very vague concept of it, but basically matt is a mighty protector of the forest nearby tom's village. despite being a powerful about-800-years-old spirit with many magical qualities and ability to shape-shift, he decides to appear like just some dude. he wonders around the forest occasionally having a chat with eldery and giving them directions where the best mashroom spots are or somethin. everyone who'd meet him would just see him as just some tall dude with a stick. unlike other forest spirits who disguise themselfs as animals or even plants in their own forests, matt being matt he likes the attention and is geniuelly fascinated by humans and their inventions/culture. theres only one thing he was not very fond of from the start - children.

speaking of, tom is a very active kid. he loves to play and wander far away into the woods. hes shy at first but also Very curious and when he takes a notice of a mysterious figure calmly talking to a pack of wolves like its nothing, he cant help but to lurk on the man. so then tom comes back to the forest, and tags on the stranger, who seems to get more and more used to the kid's company.

to be exact, we too the concept of powerful spirit who needs to meditate to remain calm because his mood influences the forest's behavior and we gave him a hyperactive child.

You stayed at your grandma's house for the past cuple of weeks of the summer break. You loved being with her. She lived in the small town and you didn't get to see each other very often, because of the kilometers that were between you.

And altought you loved the time there, spent walking around her garden and catching up on one another, sometimes you would get bored. There wasn't too much to do in the town and your grandma was going to sleep in the early evning, so you would stay alone at night without much to do. When you told her about this she propose to show to how to knit and it become something that occupied you at night.

When you did your first scarf, you wanted to try something more chellanging, so you asked your grandma for patern of a sweater. You planned to suprise your boyfiend with a little present, when you see him. The late night calls didn't stop you from missing him like crazy. After visiting the store and coleccting the colorfull cotton you began to knit.

Turns out it was more dificult then you first thought. And when you looked at the finnish product you notice one of the slaves was longer then the other and the whole thing will probably be too big for Keeho.

He will love it anyway, you thought. He always praised you no matter what you did and the excitment you felt when you were going to the park to meet him, was to intense for you to feel anxious.

After a million of kisses and cuddles he gave you, you lay down on the blanket he brought with him. Being with him after such a long time was very pleasnt and you could tell he tought the same.

"Okay, so what do you have there?" he asked pointing at the paper bag that was laying next to you.

Smile on your lips growed wider and wider as you were telling him about your little plan. When he was holding up your sweater to see the whole thing he started to giggle and sparckles in his eyes told you he did like it, just like you thought.

"It can be a little to big, but you can roll the sleeves..." you said as he was putting it on.

Lately you were really into crafting. Doing an earing stand in the shape of mashrooms and the fearies made you relaxed. You never were a type to do someting more artistic as you always were focusing more on atlethic things. But when you saw some works on the instagram you decited to try it yourself.

Starting with something easy like a figure of a cat, you were getting more precised and by now you could do more demading things. Some time ago you startes to do a vase. It had a pretty round shape and was a big size. You wanted to give it to your boyfriend. You thought he would like something like that and it would look pretty in his room. You loved giving him gifts without any ocasion, you know he knew this way you were loving him and wanted him to be happy.

After it was bourned out, you could began to decorate. Keeping it simple you gave it some blue and light green dots that was condcted with a sting of a red paint. On your way to the dorms you went to a flower shop and chose the pink and purple flowers that mached with the vase.

When Taeyang opened the door, you hide the gift behind your back and waited until you came to the hall to give it to him. He saw it anyway when he was giving you a hug, but he sensed you wanted to told him about it yourself, so he didn't comment.

"You made it all by yourself?" he asked and you cuddled his side, waching him turning around the vase so he could see all of the pattern.

"Well, the flowers are from a flowershop, but the vase is from me " you laught and looked up at him. Cracking into a small gigle, he looked at you and kissed your forehead.

Later, he put it next to the window in his room. You saw him looking at it from time to time as you were sitting on the floor before his bed and were talking

You would gave Jiung gifts very often. Every time you saw something that reminded you of him, you wanted to get it for yourself or for him. And being in this early stage of love, when you would think about him oh so often, made you shower him with presents.

It wasn't nothing weird. Altought he get slighty used to it and wasn't so suprise as in the first few months of your relationship, he still loved it and apreacieded it everytime.

You went on a hike with your friends. When you reached the pointview of the mountain you were looking at the woods and thinking about how the clouds and fog made the treetops looked. It was very beutifull.

On your way back down, you were looking at the stones surrounding you. The air was fresh and the wind was keeping you cool.

Two days later when you and Jiung met, you were telling him all about this slowly getting to the point how you find little rock in the shape of an almound.

"I actually triped over it when I was chatting with the others" you laugh as you were presenting to Jiung green rock. "At first I wasn't sure if it is rock, because look at it's collour! And when you put it into light, it become somewhat glassy!"

Jiung was observing the thing. He roteted it in his fingers and you started to get to the end of your story.

"It really looks preatty in the sunlight" he said and gave you a smile that had you melting. He thanked you and put the rock on his shelf next to the other things you gave him. "I think I will have to get another place for all of your gifts."

Laughing, he pulled you on his lap and told you he loved this rock. Playing with your hair he started to tell you about the stone he saw in the national park he and his classmate went to few years ago.

Intak

Sometimes you had a hard time expressing your fellings. Luckily, Intak was always very understanding towards you and gave you your space when that was neded or was listening when you clumsily were trying to tell him how you felt.

This only made you love him even deeper and you wanted to give him something that could express it. You thought about it for a few days and even scearch the internet for inspirations, but all the ideas were too cringy for your liking.

One night when you were staying all day with Intak at the dorms, doing nothing in partiqullar, just enjoying each other presence. You were checking a newsletter, when something caught your attention. The local ZOO was having a new animal - a small panda.

The idea came to your mind and this day you went back to your home sooner then you were planning to, so you could do all the formalities and do some calls.

Three weeks later you take Intak for a date to ZOO. This day was really lovely - spenting much needed time togheter and laughing almost every second for no reason. You looked at the Intaks reactions, when you were telling him the story of the Panda that was sleeping in the shadow of the tree.

Suprise and happines on his face, when he read the information about the animal and saw the name of the virtual owner, was something you were expecting, but it still flooded your heart with warmth.

"It's you!?" he screamed as he pulled you for a hug. You both laugh and you confirmed it.

If his face was always bright and smiley, the best description on how he looked in that moment was like a sun or birds in the morning. Or maby the happiness was the most accurate description.

Soul

You coudn't wait to give him a bracelet that was maching the one you were wearing. You made them both the day before.

By the blush on your cheeks Keeho could tell you were onto someting, when he opened the door for you. You told him about your little suprise, but said he didn't get to see the bracelet before Shota. Smiling, he told you your boyfriend will probably love it. Laughing, you went to Shota's room in a little bit of jumpy manner.

Walking in, you smiled at your biyfriend, gave him a long hug and a little kiss on the left cheek. You were too occupied in looking at him and petting his hairs to noticed Taeyong on the other side of the room before, so you said hello to him a little later.

The presence of the other boy, held you back and you waited for a moment alone to give Shota the bracelet. But before that, he noticed the one you had on your wirst and asked you about that.

"Well, I have someting for you! I think they are really cute and now we're matching" you said as you gave him the present. He was looking at it for quiet some time whithout saying anyting. "I wanted to wait untill we will be alone, but since you asked, I thought I could gave you this now."

Shota finally looked at you and could tell his silence made you a little woried. But there was nothing to be worried about. He loved this bracelet and in this very moment he made a promise to himself, that he will be wearing it as often as possible.

He told you that, making all of your worries go away and then he went to the rest of the boys to show it to them, making you a little shy and proud.

Jongseob

You liked listening to your boyfriends ranting about all the things. His mind was like a house with countless amount of rooms with ideas and thougths that always made you feel vivid.

But sometimes, Jongseob had problem with formimg his thoughts and feelings into words. It was something normal - they were so fast and always were followed by next thoughts. Your mind were the same and you noticed it when you met for the second time. But you didn't say anything, you didn't wanted to "make things wirde".

Even now, while in reletionship for a few months you didn't say anything about similarities of you thoughts proces. Honestly, you didn't feel like this was needed anymore, you had a feeling Jingseob understood this by himself.

Wanting to help him sort his thought out, you buy him a diary. It wasn't big and the cover was purple. You wrote on the first page your reasons why you wanted him to have it. You hopeed writing things down would calmed him and helped him, just as it helped you.

You finished by drawning small flowers next to your signature at the end of the page and came out of the buss, noticing it was already your stop. You asked your boyfriend out to a little date in his favoritue icecream shop.

After you both order the ice desserts, you gave him a gift with a bright smile. He was slightly suprised, but when he started reading what you wrote, it made sens to him - he really apreacieted your helped and he wanted made sure for you to know it.

egg white pizza is my favourite safe food - it’s quick, yummy and has only about 200 kcal!!!

2 eggs white - 34kcal

tomatoes and tomatoe sauce - 50kcal

mozarella 30g - 86kcal

onion - idk 5 kcal

a little bit of olive oil 30 kcal

✨recipe✨

1. add a little bit of olive oil on the pan and turn the heat on

2. pour in liquid egg whites and let it sit in medium hit

3. after 2-3 minutes use your spatula to expose all egg whites to tej pan and again let it sit for about 2 minutes

4. carefully tap the egg whites crust to check for doneness

5. add tomatoe sauce on

6. spread your cheese (i use 30g of mozarella)

7. you can add your favourite veggies, for example mashrooms, tomatoes or corn

8. sprinkle with favourite spices and thats it!:)

Imagine Beeig Childe sister, a little younger(something around 16-19) and also beeing Fatui, and bullying Scaramouche with Childe, for his heigh but you suddenly feel something for this little angry mashroom

OH BOI YAS. THE DEVIL SIBLINGS that Scaramouce's nickname for you and Childe.

You started as a angel. Like the whole fatui is shocked to see you because you doesn't seem like the type to hurt people, obviously they are wrong, you are chosen for a reason.

When you first join you instantly paired with your older brother, Childe and alongside Scaramouce. Not gonna lie, at first Scaramouce is like 'thank god you're here, An angel' but after you and Scaramouce gets pretty comfortable and Close with eachother you and Childe becomes partner in crime to bully him.

For some reason Scaramouce can tolerate you more than your brother. His cold exterior is crumbling down around you and he didn't even notice until he found himself cannot sleep without thinking about you or how he always looked at you first after and before battle to check on you or when at lunch time he would found himself looking for you, making sure you eat. And THAT'S when he finally realized 'am i falling for her?'.

He freaked out, like he cannot look at you without blushing which made Childe bully him more but you are concerned about Scaramouce, why is he not looking at you? Why is he not talking to you? Why do you even care?! That's when you realize.. you like him.

Once you realize your feelings you also look away from Scaramouce. Like everything is so akward between the both of you it's hurting Childe.

One day Childe just let out all his frustration that he feel between the both of you. Childe is a cool brother he knows Scaramouce, he can keep an eye on Scaramouce so he is not really worried about you.

"JUST CONFESS GOD DAMN IT"

he screech out. You and Scaramouce stopped in your track at the same time while looking at eachother. Childe looks at you both and huff, all it took is for him to spill the beans (not that it was that secretive).

You both talks about it, end up being great couple have happy ending lot's of child- NO

You both get together and is sooo painfully akward around eachother. Childe sometimes help the both of you by started to teased Scaramouce and then you joining in on the reason, causing you and Scaramouce to talk while Childe just smile softly at both Of you.

You should really thank Childe, he helped you with your akward relationship with Scaramouce!!

9.  favorite brand of clothing? I don’t have one, but this is temporary, because I wanted to focus on looking for ethical and ecological brands in 2020 (but since I have a lot clothes I didn’t need to do this yet)

I guess I can say I’m a little into Stravidarius, Carry and Breshka, but it’s more like “I like what is see on display but then I’m thinking about people who made this and environment and buy something really rarely”
