Epistle, definitely. It was originally a one-shot, but I'm going to continue the story. Hoping for HEA, but that all depends on what Hermione & Draco do.

I hope to finish both my WIPs, so I'm not going to jinx them. Oh! And I forgot I was also going to expand the world of Taking the Plunge because I loved Nadia & her friends so much.

What are your writing strengths?

Narration, witty asides, description & small details, world-building...? I find it difficult to answer this question.

What are your writing weaknesses?

Reading too many others fics instead of making myself sit down to write my own. 😳 I take too long between chapters. I need to write more about how my characters are feeling/sensing, etc., particularly in love scenes. Maybe showing some characters' bad traits?

Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I enjoy it, even if there's not a translation. I don't mind looking it up. If it fits the character, this should be included. I think right now I only have one ESL, and I try to pepper his dialogue with Swedish words and phrases and nicknames. Sweet Henrik.

LITG! First fics I ever read, too.

Uhhh...I think WIDFL, my very first (and a WIP). And I'm very proud of Epistle.

I’m not sure if you’ve been asked this but I was wondering what you think would be the islanders from s2’s Hogwarts houses? Lmao I’ve relapsed and rewatched all the movies recently and I always find myself thinking who would be in which house. And like thinking up random funny scenarios they would get up to at wizarding school. I know a lot of people would say Chelsea would be Hufflepuff which I mean isn’t wrong but I kinda see her as like Luna Lovegood and being in Ravenclaw! Lol idk kwjsksjsjsjsjsns

I grew up being read or reading Harry Potter and vividly remember watching the films too (some of the first I saw in the cinema!). I've even got a small HP tattoo since it was such a huge part of my childhood. I also LOVE thinking about things like which houses each Islander would fit in, and some are definitely easier than others, but here's what I think:

As always, remember that Slytherin isn't bad, and that we appreciate ambition and determination. I've also tried to keep it quite balanced between the houses, as it should be.

Bobby – Hufflepuff

Quite possibly the easiest one, but Bobby is just such a quintessential Hufflepuff, and I love that for him. He's patient to a fault, values loyalty, and is generally rather easygoing. Maybe part of him is a bit Gryffindor, but overall I'd say he's very much a dedicated Hufflepuff whose focus is more on enjoying life rather than ambitions of greatness.

Carl – Slytherin

A tricky one, but I feel like Carl would make a lovely Slytherin. He's calculated and driven, but also very gentle and kind – which is a great combination. He very much seems like someone who hesitates before acting, always wanting to know the potential outcome first, and despite being shy he's confident in his own technical skills... In other words, Slytherin.

Chelsea – Ravenclaw

I actually very much agree with you! Ravenclaw isn't all about "classic" intelligence, but also creativity, originality, and imagination – and Chelsea has plenty. She's maybe not academically driven, but she clearly thrives when she gets to approach things in her own, unconventional way, and can be hard-working and diligent when she's invested in a task.

Elisa – Slytherin

I was torn between Slytherin and Gryffindor for her, but landed on the former due to her focus on achievement and on leaving her mark on the world. Elisa also strikes me as someone who can be quite cynical and cunning when it comes to matters such as social media, and who will do what it takes to get where and what she wants.

Gary – Gryffindor

Gary's definitely someone I immediately put in Gryffindor. He's daring and a bit reckless, but with a softer side to him too. With his courage in daring to deal with and speak about his body issues, while also seeming as someone who'd stand up for their mates no questions asked, I think the hat would quickly sort him into Gryffindor.

Hannah – Hufflepuff

I feel like Hannah is often placed into Ravenclaw, but to me she's not actually that into the whole "learning" part, but rather stories of classical romance where loyalty, modesty, and dedication is a big focus – and what she's so drawn to. It's also what she strives towards herself, with a few missteps along the way of course.

Henrik – Hufflepuff

With his happy-go-lucky vibe, easily earned loyalty and dedication, while also having a strong moral sense, I'd say Henrik is also very much a Hufflepuff. Ravenclaw might also fit, as I think he's similar to Chelsea in his unconventional approach to wit, but I think Hufflepuff with a focus on simply living suits him so well.

Hope – Gryffindor

I think she could also have gone into Slytherin due to her drive and resourcefulness. However, Hope to me is someone who is daring and determined, but not always with the focus being on herself. She's brave and caring, and will stand up for others if she thinks they need so. This may also be why she can be perceived as arrogant at times, but she means well, like most Gryffindors.

Ibrahim – Gryffindor

Rahim was such a tricky one, as it's so tempting to put him in Hufflepuff. However, he struggles with loyalty/dedication and I think his would be one of the cases where his want to be brave and chivalrous would make the hat sort him into Gryffindor.

Jakub – Gryffindor

Yeah, I'm leaning towards Gryffindor for him. Sure, he's goal-oriented and doesn't always consider others in his determination, but he also tries to be noble and brave. Everyone who's done his route will know he's can be chivalrous but also a bit short-tempered, both of which are very much Gryffindor traits.

Jo – Gryffindor

Basically the Cormac McLaggen of the Gryffindor Islanders. Would definitely be way too invested in Quidditch and at being "the best". She's definitely brave and daring, but also reckless in how she acts and speaks without thinking first.

Lottie – Hufflepuff

Yes, I know, I KNOW, but hear me out. Lottie would want to be a Slytherin because she likes to think of herself that way. BUT, her extreme focus on moral codes, loyalty and dedication, even if scewed, makes her a Hufflepuff. Each house has their "bad" members after all, and Hufflepuff is no exception – they can't all be innocent to a fault.

Lucas – Ravenclaw

Somewhere between Ravenclaw and Slytherin, but I think his ambition is largely something that people attribute him based on him coming from a well off family (their ambitions for him does not make him a Slytherin). He may be cunning to some extent, but I think his focus on acceptance and learning about the world to make it better is what would get him sorted into Ravenclaw.

Marisol – Slytherin

So very very nearly a Ravenclaw, yet I have a hunch the way she applies her intelligence and knowledge makes her more of a Slytherin. Marisol is scared of getting hurt, and uses her smarts towards self-preservation and to reach her own goals. In a way, I'd also say she's more Gryffindor than Ravenclaw in how she acts (more Hermione than Luna, basically).

Noah – Ravenclaw

Probably the most "stereotypical" Ravenclaw of the bunch. He's clearly learned and intelligent, with his random bits of knowledge and love of books, as well as witty when he feels like it. I get the impression he's also very accepting of others, although he needs to learn how to accept himself.

Priya – Slytherin

Priya is so good at self-preservation, with a mixture of determination, cunning and ambition that I think would place her in Slytherin. It's something I think especially shines outside of the Villa, where she really is driven to live her best life. I feel like she could also fit in Gryffindor, but she's a bit too self-centred (not always a bad thing).

Shannon – Ravenclaw

Another one that very much is between houses, and she could just as well go into Slytherin due to her cunning and pride. Still, I have a feeling she applies those traits in a way that's focused on learning and observing, and not always for her own gains as I think of her as more altruistic than what we got to see in-game.

Rocco – Ravenclaw

Some would probably have put him in Hufflepuff or Slytherin, but I feel like he's more of a Gilderoy Lockhart with his focus on stories that may be true or not (most likely the latter). We also know he probably did rather well at school, but he simply doesn't search for "classic" knowledge and is definitely creative.

5-since how long do you write?

In general, since I was 8. I wrote this total plagiarism of the little mermaid. Except I changed all of the mermaid's friends. She had a friend that was a starfish, and I think a friend that was a dolphin. Also, she turned into seafoam, just like in the original, because my grandma had the book of fairy stories with the real one in it, so despite seeing the movie 1 million times when I was little, I knew the real ending. And I liked it better. Because it was real. Funnily enough, my favorite Hans Christian Andersen fairytale is actually the snow queen. The little robber princess is my absolute favorite character of all time.

For fandoms, I've been writing fanfic since I was around 12 years old, when I wrote a truly terrible Taran x Eilonwy from the Black Cauldron series. On paper.

I started in Disney fandoms online around age 15, and then worked my way to Harry Potter, after Harry Potter I went for Pirates of the Caribbean, then I took a break for about 12 years, and then I started writing hunger games fanfiction. But I really got back into fanfic by reading HTTYD fanfic... it's awesome.

6-how did writing change you?

i've always been a writer, so I can't really imagine a time when I wasn't writing. I was a really shy introverted kid, and I liked to observe everybody around me, and I used my observations to be a better writer. I also grew up next door to my village public library, so I read voraciously. I wrote mostly ghost stories.

Writing for the choices Fandom and the hunger games fandom really helped me get my confidence back, I was really depressed at the time, and I was in a really bad place in my life. So reading & writing fanfiction really helped me mentally. And I like to think I've grown as a writer after that.

As usual, slight ramble below, but you should know what you’re in for by now, there’s a slight running commentary appearing occasionally. I’m not sure if anyone else tagged me in one of these though!

10) Last movie? - All The Bright Places, yet again need complete silence to watch stuff and need to be focused enough. Both criteria are rarely met.

11) Last show? - Santa Clarita Diet, yes it was the same the last time I did one of these, problem? I’m in a really sarcastic mood currently and think I’m so funny, so yeah. But short answer, attention span is very messed up, most of the time can’t focus without floating off, so most of the time can’t be bothered watching stuff, and need subtitles on all TV, can’t always pick stuff up if there’s background music/extra noise or other people. Need complete silence to watch stuff, which is so rare that I just don’t, or look up spoilers so I know what’s happening.

12) When did you create this blog? - 19th Oct 2018 (That’s probably when I started being more active, did make it before then, but lurked for quite a bit x)

13) What do you post? - LITG, positivity and whatever the heck else I want to dump into the void.

16) Do you get asks? - Yep, it’s mostly @kiki-the-creator @oneflewoverthecuckoos and @hyperspacial along with a couple of others. I don’t get many anons, and asks themselves are usually pretty rare if they’re not from my core group of askers!

17) Why you chose your url? - I had a Lauren Orlando fan account on Instagram in 2017, which went through a lot of name changes. That ended up being lovely.Laurennoelle, then bubblelaureno eventually. Then made another Instagram the same year, called that ultravxlet, then changed to laurelcstillo, then needed another switch, so bubblelaureno it was! Then I just changed nearly all my accs to the same user so I could keep track. Bubble came from the trend at the time of making all users something laureno in the fandom, so I thought of bubblelaureno.

18) Following? - 3362 (Yep, it’s a ridiculous amount, I know, nope I don’t keep up with everything!)

20) Average hours of sleep? - Eh. That varies between 4-8/9. Depending on depressive/anxious spirals, then my sleep amount rockets up.

Hello my dear! I just wanted to say thank you so much for answering my previous ask about which islanders would be in which Harry Potter Hogwarts house! It was so enjoyable to read and I absolutely love how in depth you went with each character, so thank you for that! <3

If it isn’t too much trouble, would would it be alright if I asked which Casa boys houses be? (Minus Carl because you’ve already sorted him). I can kind of see Arjun being a Hufflepuff since although yes he comes on quite strong he really is just a super nice guy. And oh gods Felix would probably be Gryffindor. I can see him being like the Weasley twins but that would be an insult to the Weasley twins lmmaaoooooo jeksjswjjssjssjs. I can also totally see the narrator from the game being the sorting hat and just reading them so hard and they just sit there like 👁👄👁. Especially Lottie. I could totally see her being like Harry and begging the hat to put her in a certain house (Slytherin) only to be put in Hufflepuff instead and shes just like 🧍‍♀️??????? THAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY HAHAHSJSJSDKESJWJSJSJ

I did my best with the Casa boys for you, although I don't feel like I know them as well as the other characters (except Carl 'cause I adore him). Let me know what you think though, and as always everyone's free to come with suggestions 💋

Arjun – Gryffindor

He's direct, confident, and so utterly unafraid, but also not someone who'd put himself first. I can also see him a Hufflepuff, but I think he would be someone who'd definitely go far in protecting others – which is classic Gryffindor.

Elijah – Slytherin

Ambitious, calculating, and perhaps a tiny bit arrogant but with a soft inside. He's the kind and friendly Slytherin we deserved to see in the books, although he's way too busy focusing on his own goals to really care what else is going on at Hogwarts.

Felix – Hufflepuff

Him and Lottie together in Hufflepuff would be quite... something. But his behaviour in CA to me is definitely the sigh of someone who's super loyal and dedicated once he's with someone. He's just super laid back, kind, but also a bit insecure under all his bravado. So yeah, I think Hufflepuff.

Graham – Gryffindor

I know him and Gary would disagree, but when it comes to certain core values they are fairly similar. I'd say Graham is very close to being Slytherin though, due to how he's willing to somewhat ignore others' feelings to get what he wants.

Kassam – Ravenclaw

Not necessarily "wise" in the classical sense of the word (but who cares about that old and problematic way of thinking anyway), but he's focused and creative, which to me makes him a Ravenclaw. He also has a tendency to slightly judge it when people don't know "obvious" things which, again, is a bit Ravenclaw to me.

25. Have you ever daydreamed about side adventures/spin-offs from your fic? Tell us about them!

Ooh. I’ve probably mentioned this before, but I have a side Harry Potter LITG au collab thing. Along with a set of birthdays and a massive doc that hasn’t been updated since this summer. It’s on hiatus currently, but I do occasionally think of stuff from that verse. I also have a couple AU verses, one is a uni au, another one is an AU where Marisol is with Lottie and hasn’t met Alecto at all, and my 3rd one is another AU version of LITG. On top of some possible Marisol/Hope AU stuff I’m toying with.

1: What inspired you to start writing fanfiction?

I bet I’ve told this story before, but anyway, I was writing a collab with an internet friend for LITG and HP. I was feeling so sad about it, because having your writing torn into regularly isn’t pleasant and I was on the verge of giving up on writing. Then I got stuck on a boat with no WiFi for a week, and decided to write, which created LCBC. LCBC itself was nearly parked after I had the same person who tore into me for the collab which I was working on her with, tell me LCBC was awful.

Before LCBC existed, I was writing Hunger Games fanfiction on fanfiction.net when I was 10 or 11. I kept doing that until I was 14 and stopped after dealing with constant criticism. My friends at the time hated fanfiction and thought everything I wrote was too samey and I was a bad writer for writing fanfiction, so I quit and read fanfic in secret from that point. I’m pretty resilient to have dealt with this amount of heavy criticism not once but twice.

2: What fic are you most proud of?

That used to be LCBC without a doubt. But now, I prefer my unpublished long fic All Too Well. It was inspired by CMM, and the wedding, and the aftermath of MC cheating on Marisol with Lottie and how the fall out hits Marisol. The fic itself grew far bigger than I expected. I’ve had two more new long fics that ended up accidentally long fics too, which I’m equally proud of. LCBC will always have a place in my heart, but that’s partly due to the story behind it too. Realising I can write about me and my disabilities through Alecto and not be judged for it was such a big deal. I came from a culture of Harry Potter role play where disabilities were banned and you couldn’t go there, so shaking that off and realising that not everything had those ableist restrictions was great.

21: What one piece of advice would you give to new or aspiring fanfic writers?

Write what sparks your writing brain. If you force yourself to write something you hate for statistics, it’ll hurt more if it flops, because if you wrote it for the readers and the readers hated it, that makes it pointless. Far better to write for yourself or what you want to write. If we all wrote for the most popular characters, the fandom would be a sea of Bobby x MC and Lottie x MC fics. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that, just not my own personal cup of tea to write.
