Oh, sweet Fancy! let her loose; Every thing is spoilt by use: Where’s the cheek that doth not fade, Too much gaz’d at? Where’s the maid Whose lip mature is ever new? Where’s the eye, however blue, Doth not weary? Where’s the face One would meet in every place? Where’s the voice, however soft, One would hear so very oft? At a touch sweet Pleasure melteth Like to bubbles when rain pelteth. Let, then, winged Fancy find Thee a mistress to thy mind: Dulcet-ey’d as Ceres’ daughter, Ere the God of Torment taught her How to frown and how to chide; With a waist and with a side White as Hebe’s, when her zone Slipt its golden clasp, and down Fell her kirtle to her feet, While she held the goblet sweet And Jove grew languid.—Break the mesh Of the Fancy’s silken leash; Quickly break her prison-string And such joys as these she’ll bring.— Let the winged Fancy roam, Pleasure never is at home.

Budha Aadmi Aur Samudra (Hindi Translation of The Old Man And The Sea)
Tumblr media
Buy Now : https://www.amazon.in/Budha-Aadmi-Samudra-Hindi-Translation/dp/9355214626

Romeo and Juliet: Beyond Tragedy, A Tapestry of History and Universal Th... "Romeo and Juliet," written by William Shakespeare, is a globally recognized tragedy that narrates the doomed love of two young lovers against the backdrop of their families' feud. However, there are several intriguing aspects of this story that many might not know: 1. **Real-Life Inspiration:** Before Shakespeare wrote "Romeo and Juliet," stories with similar themes were already popular in Italy. Shakespeare's work was significantly inspired by "The Tragical History of Romeus and Juliet," a poetic story written by Arthur Brooke in 1562. This indicates that Shakespeare retold the story with his unique creative touches. 2. **Juliet's Age:** Early in the play, it's mentioned that Juliet is just 14 years old, which often surprises modern readers. Marriages at a young age were more common then, but Juliet's age highlights her innocence and adds to the story's tragedy. 3. **First Performance:** It is believed that "Romeo and Juliet" was first performed in the 1590s, with the first official record in 1597. This doesn't give a clear indication of how popular the play was at the time. 4. **The Character of Mercutio:** Mercutio is one of the most charismatic characters in the play, often stealing the scene. His character and death significantly deepen the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet. Mercutio's "Queen Mab" monologue is among the most famous speeches Shakespeare wrote. 5. **The Play's Universal Themes:** "Romeo and Juliet" stands out for addressing universal themes such as love, hate, friendship, youth, death, and fate. The story has been retold across different cultures, in musicals, films, and even operas, over centuries. Researching more about "Romeo and Juliet" offers a deeper understanding of Shakespeare's creativity and the historical context of the work. Beyond being just a story about two young lovers, it's a timeless masterpiece that reflects the complexity of human nature and universal emotions. #RomeoAndJuliet, #Shakespeare, #TragicLove, #UniversalThemes, #ElizabethanDrama, #ClassicLiterature, #TimelessTale, #Mercutio, #QueenMab, #LoveAndFate, #FamilyFeud, #YoungLove, #CulturalImpact, #IconicCharacters, #InnocenceAndTragedy, #HumanEmotion, #LiteraryMasterpiece

Rules: Tag 9 people you would like to get to know better
I was tagged to do this by @cityoflamas. Thank you! I really love getting tagged.
Relationship status: I am single.
Pets: I have a cat (her name is Mickey)
Last song I listened to: I heard this song for the first time a few hours ago, but I've also already listened to it about ten times. The song is DNA by Lia Marie Johnson.
Favourite TV-show: I don't think I have one show that's my favourite. I really like Degrassi: Next Class (I bingewatched season 3 yesterday and I really don't want to wait another half year for the next season). I also really like Teen Wolf, even though I'm about two seasons behind on that. If I really had to pick one favourite though, it's probably Modern Family. I love that show and I have loved it for years now. I think it's hilarious, but there are also episodes that ended in me crying. It's just great.
First Fandom: Part of me wants to say Harry Potter, because that's the first serie I read and loved that had an amazing fandom, but when I read the series I had no idea things like fandoms existed. The fandom that made me realise the existence of fandoms is Percy Jackson (this is also the fandom that led to me discovering fanfiction)
Hobbies: This is a question that for some reason I always find difficult to answer. I like reading a lot (obviously). I also like watching shows, I like drawing and painting (even though I rarely do that outside of school), I like hanging out with friends, I actually really like making 3D christmas cards or embroidering (I don't know if that's the right word, I tried to translate it into English and that's what showed up) while watching something on tv.
Books I'm currently reading: I occasionally read a story of 'Vrouwen met autisme' which is a Dutch book and translates into Women with autism. I'm also trying very hard to start reading 'Fried green tomatoes at the whistle stop café' which I have to read for school. If you've read that, please let me know what you thought (it might even encourage me to actually start reading it)
I tag: Mostly everyone who reads this and wants to do it, I’d be interested in getting to know all of you (better). But the rules stated ‘tag 9 people’ so here are my 9 people: @poeticteaholic, @happybibliosaurus, @literarymasterpiece, @stilesdevinski, @b-ookaddict, @siriuslywizard, @maxoniloveyou, @the-reading-flower and @in-a-world-of-books
