hello!! how are you? i'm reaching out to you because you're the one i keep seeing my dashboard that's related to japanese learning.
i wanted to ask: how do you suggest a beginner should start studying? like, they're N5, and they know hiragana and katakana, but do not know how to move forward from there because it scares them? (it's me, btw, hi hello how are you how are the kids)
thank you so much!! have a good day!!
omg hi!!! im doing ok (im sick rn but it's fine lol) thanks sm for the ask! :3
i think the best thing you can do for yourself is follow your curiosity! at the early stages of learning curiosity will take you much farther than trying to set hard deadlines for yourself - especially when it sounds like moving forward is a bit intimidating at the moment.
so, i'm going to list out things that might be worth checking out. it takes a while for people to figure out what works for them, and since you mentioned you already know hiragana/katakana you're primed to get out there and really explore your options! embrace the feeling of possibility rather than the fear of the unknown :D i say this bc if you get too caught up in making the "right" choice it might just make learning too stressful to want to continue
anyway here's some things that beginners commonly go for when continuing with japanese learning (under the readmore)
find a textbook and work through it there's a bunch out there, I know Genki I is probably the most well-known, but i'm also familiar with Tobira I, Yookoso, and Minna no Nihongo. textbooks are nice because they're literally designed for learners and offer structure to what order you learn kanji, grammar, etc. and come with lots of practice questions. the difficult part is self-teaching through them since they tend to assume youre also using it with a teacher who can correct you and give advice. however they're still pretty good as references imo! if you google "[textbook name] pdf" they're pretty likely to come up
find an app you can use daily there are also a lot of these, and many of them are designed to be used daily so you can better enforce the habit of studying japanese every day. these tend to be simpler and gamefied to make it more appealing and easier to pick up as well. i would just stay away from duolingo as i've heard their japanese curriculum is bad. some other ones i've heard are helpful are Renshuu and Human Japanese.
find an online guide and follow it by "online guide" i mean websites people have compiled of their own guides to learning japanese, such as Tae Kim. these are more accessible and unlike textbooks tend to assume that you are self-studying, so it's easier to follow independently, but usually don't have any practice questions or ways to test yourself. still good as a reference. you can also check out this website that specifies their philosophy on what makes effective japanese learning and what steps to take as a beginner (imo it's very. long. and winds on for a while. but people have said it helps!)
download and use anki anki is an app (both phone and pc) that uses flashcards and that many learners use to retain vocab. their site has decks other people have created, and you can find decks of "core vocab" for example which has flashcards of common japanese vocab. you can also create your own flashcards of words you encounter in the wild to help practice them even after you've read it. i think anki is super useful, but i would probably suggest using it once you have more of a grasp on basic japanese concepts or else you'll just be rote-memorizing things that don't make sense to you yet. but i'm putting it here in case this appeals to you!
take a class or find an online tutor now this one will most likely cost you money, but it offers the most structure and guidance possible which can be extremely helpful starting out since you're able to ask questions and get feedback. you can look into nearby universities who might offer japanese classes, or you can try one of the many language-learning tutor websites out there. i've had some decent success with italki, and there's also JOI (japanese online institute) that i've heard is very helpful too.
watch japanese-learning videos these can be nice bc you can actually hear the japanese and how it's supposed to sound, and it's typically lower effort and easier to get into than actively starting a textbook or class. miku real japanese, japarrot, and 日本語の森 are channels i've watched before and like, but there's plenty others out there too. i'd just steer away from clickbait-y looking ones like "i learned japanese in 30 days and here's how!!" since they tend to not be that helpful.
read simple stories in japanese reading in japanese tends to be the most intimidating step for people, but there's sites that have stories made for beginners that are easy to follow and only use hiragana/katakana. my go-to for my students is usually tadoku since the stories are short, organized by level, and very beginner friendly. a while ago someone showed me natively which lets you look up japanese books, also by level. if you want some good beginner manga, yotsuba and teasing master takagi-san are what i've recommended before
misc. things you can try!
watch anime but intentionally - try to actively listen and pick up on words they say. a long time ago i used animelon, which puts japanese subtitles that you can adjust to show hiragana only
look up jlpt n5/n4 specific materials. they're geared for an exam so it might not be the most natural feeling, but they do tend to be convenient for lists of vocab and grammar. this website has some helpful resources for that
add an extension on your browser that will let you hover over japanese words and see its definition. i use firefox and have 10ten reader to do this, but rikaikun and yomichan are also similar extensions
when you learn the japanese word for something in your house, put a sticky note on it that has the japanse word. like, for "table" you can put a note on it that says 「テーブル」. i heard this can help with retention (i haven't done it myself tbf)
EDIT: ohh i can't believe i forgot this. but join a japanese-learning community! there's discord servers out there, and if you have a friend willing to study with you you can ask them to be your accountability buddy.
anyway, i know that was a lot but i hope that gives you some direction on where you'd like to go next in your japanese learning journey! ^_^ and again, absolutely no pressure to do all of these. the most important thing is letting curiosity be your guide and fostering a positive relationship with learning japanese rather than being afraid. if i can help out some more lmk!!

i’m gonna reel off some (1 or 2 all in all) academic hcs to do with sam winchester bc im literally in my academic weapon (victim) era rn so yars #academia
anyways i feel like the two of u would study separately most times bc when together u guys either make out, have sex, talk, laugh and eat and nothing studying wise actually happens and there’s definitely been times when a piece of work one or the other has got torn because it was either laid on or stood on and there was a lot of movement during.
but the rare occasions you guys do study together he quizzes you on whatever u need quizzing on and he ends up asking how’s that professor bc he promised something to that prof but ur like “stfu sidetracking” and he kisses u every time you get something right. also lowk believe he’d do the classic “if u get something wrong u hv to strip n vice versa” (obvs if ur comfortable with that!!) but yeah it’s funny bc sometimes you or him might get something very obvious wrong and you guys js laugh abt it so yeah.
but yeah he js loves u, ur the love of his life n pitbull doesn’t start singing fireball while ur on the ceiling. but yeah u and him get married in italy where padmé and anakin got married at the end of AOTC (sam loves star wars) and yeah u guys don’t (or do) have lil smarty pants babies and yars (i feel like giving birth to sam’s child would hurt if ur like a lot smaller than him)
anyways true the story the end thanks for listening to my ted talk
-💽
AUGH SORRY IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET TO THIS T^T (finals was an actual bitch to get through)
ughh no i love academic/stanford sam hcs because im in my college era and desperately need standford sam soo badly loll
yeah no you guys need to study separately because NOTHING would get done if the aim is to actually learn and revise what you wrote down during your lectures. LMAO yeah your books and assignments were not safe if you guys were studying on the already small bed and sam so happened wanted to kiss your cheek but then you turned your head and caught his lips with yours and it devolved into a makeout session without any clothes on... oops!
but yes on the rare occasions that you do actually study together, he's very helpful with revisions but does get sidetracked and you have to snap your fingers at him with a small laugh to stop asking you questions that aren't on the flashcards lol. UGH yes to the trope of reward or strip while studying and it becomes a little game for the two of you but then sometimes it ends up with both of your clothes off and studying doesn't resume for the rest of the night >:) but also sam is so silly and would try and get something wrong so he can get out of his shirt and let you stare at him (he won't admit it but he loves it when you get flustered at the sight of him)
no because i love loverboy/lovesick sammy so much it actually hurts me to my core LOL and yes i could see sam eloping with his partner and living out the dream of getting married where anakin and padme did (i wholeheartedly agree with that headcanon of him liking star wars because hes a NERD but my nerd <3) and he dreams of having a family with you but if you don't want kids he respects that but if you guys do have kids and you're smaller than him it would be a harder birth since he's a giant and his kids would get those genes as well LMAO

cait im legit having a mental breakdown rn
so i have this pretty big standardized test TOMORROW and i didn’t study very much because of how busy i was so i took a practice test like an hour ago, got an even worse score than my first one that i took a couple of weeks ago. literally sobbing over this because ik it’s not my entire life if i do bad on a test but it feels like it. especially with my dad telling me how good im going to do on it bc he cares way too much about my grades in life. like i know this test doesn’t define me but it feels like it does and it feels like im failing at what im meant to be good at and i dont know how to fix it
- 🦎
hi!! pls don’t have a mental breakdown!! what kind of test is this? if the questions are repetitive and memorizable, make flashcards and read through them a couple times until you think you remember them a bit then start quizzing yourself. i learned p much everything this way and had hundreds of color coded flashcards for every class and would hand them down to my siblings.
if it’s math or smth like that, equations are just patterns. you do each step of the equation in the same order, so memorize the pattern of the order and you can solve anything!! write out one problem perfectly solved out with every step written out, then practice some underneath it.
just writing things down repetitively also always helped me memorize things and that helps w everything!!

A *lot* of things have happened in my Sims 4 Elisir gameplay. Here we go! This will be divided into 2 parts bc I have way too many screenshots.
Tumblr media
That baby sure is growing well 🥰
Tumblr media
Whee! It's fun to slide! (also unrelated but I wish Sims 4 had a special swing for infants and/or toddlers, you know the kind.)
Tumblr media
A little family trip to the library! As Adina reads up for the Blast From The Past reward event, Isotta sits down to read a picture book, and Nemorino does flashcards with Tristano outside.
Tumblr media
And now, off to the museum to look at some historical displays!
Tumblr media
Aww, I love how even toddlers can get that playful moodlet from watch a horse play with a ball!
Tumblr media
One of last week's quests was asking an elder about shards of time, and quite conveniently, Cougar Scott (the twins' nanny) happened to be here.
Tumblr media
Both the twins and Atalanta are having a bite! (also is that Giannetta's dad in the background??)
Tumblr media
And a bit of impromptu nap time!
Tumblr media
Damn, I love how Tristano is gaining Thinking skills just by by watching Nemorino do flashcards with Isotta!
Tumblr media
Little convo with Sanook!
Tumblr media
I added the little award plaques from this reward event on the wall of Adina and Nemorino's room!
Tumblr media
I don't remember why I took this screenshot of Nemorino fixing the sink. But anyway, I installed one of the twins' old bassinets in the parents' room for the baby!
Tumblr media
I think this is literally the second time Principessa's ghost shows up on the night where Adina goes into labor. (Also please ignore Nemorino's horrible facial hair rn, I have hair growth enabled, and I always shave it to the preferred length as soon as I can.)
Tumblr media
IT'S A BOY!!! (I'll admit that I made Adina eat plenty of carrots throughout her pregnancy.) His name is Adone (the Italian form of Adonis, aka Venus' hot mortal lover; because I thought this would be fitting what with Belcore comparing himself and Adina to Mars and Venus respectively, and her snagging Nemorino instead). And I love that the whole family was present for the birth (the twins needed to use the potty).
Tumblr media
Both twins are overjoyed by the birth of their new baby brother!
Tumblr media
A little bit more reading to do, for that week's quest!
Tumblr media
Nemorino has to train up his logic skill to build that time travel component! I like to imagine that he is motivated to do that for reasons having to do with his father's death.
Tumblr media
OH SHIT, Adina was struck by lightning while getting the mail! At least she's still alive.
Tumblr media
Also, Giannetta called to announce that she and Belcore are having a baby!! To be honest, I don't imagine that opera!Giannetta and Belcore would go as far in their relationship, but Neighborhood Stories be Neighborhood stories in this game.
Tumblr media
And for Rebate Day, I had the family purchase this slidy thing that's most likely never going to be used until the next summer.
Tumblr media
Playing dolls together!!
Tumblr media
Baby Belcore/Giannetta is well on its way to be born!
Tumblr media
Both Adina and Nemorino asked for invitations at Giannetta's wedding. Not sure how it's gonna happen, since I don't think I have any intention of staging it myself. But whatever.
Tumblr media
Atalanta has been sad about "being cooped up for too long", so I had Adina go on an intense ride with her, and even that didn't help! That moodlet just went away on its own.
Tumblr media
lmao not Sanook checking for the trash can's cleanliness 😂
Tumblr media
Nemorino is up bright and early to cook some nice knafeh! (a sort of cake containing cheese that I personally don't really like.) I love making my opera-inspired Sims cook dishes from my country (the other one being manakish zaatar), it makes me feel special 🥰
Tumblr media
I literally only bought this cheap couch in the kitchen so that the twins wouldn't have to go to the bench outside to eat their meals.
Tumblr media
Some playtime with Adina, before the sugar crash happens!
Tumblr media
For some reason, I love the name of this "Doll Drama" moodlet, it constantly makes me think of these stories online about kids (particularly little girls) devising the most contrived, dramatic and horrible stories about their dolls.
Tumblr media
Nemorino being a good dad 🥰
The rest will be continued on another post!

Posting about the app Clozemaster again! Because it's really useful in some ways and if u want to utilize something like it I want u to know it's out there! (I wish clozemaster paid me to promo them cause I really do like their app ToT)
The basic app is free (and has plenty of content to simply be used completely free). It is designed to give you sentences in your target language with a word missing, and then you either figure out the missing word (cloze deletion) in a multiple choice or by typing it in. If you don't know the word or get it wrong, it will then show you the right word (so you can learn it). Each sentence includes audio, shows the translation (either during the cloze test or after you answer), and works much like flashcards on anki or any other SRS flashcard system. It will show you sentences in a spaced repetition schedule again to help you learn the word. You can also mark a sentence to ignore (if you find it useless, don't want it, or it has some error etc), and mark a sentence mastered (if you understand all of it and no longer wish to review it etc). It exposes you to the sentences in order of most common words. The sentence collections aim to teach you 1000 words or more (check the sentence collection title, some collections are based on HSK or JLPT or some specific language test vocabulary) from most common words to less. I believe the original Clozemaster app took its sentences from Tatoeba, i am not sure if since then they've taken from new sources. Because of the source of the sentences, sentence content is varied (content could be anything containing X word being studied), some translations are not direct translations and occasionally sentence translations are incorrect (if you find an incorrect translation you can report it so the app can remove it from their content, or click Ignore it so you don't see it again).
Because a decent amount of translations are not word for word direct translations, I do think the app is best suited to upper beginners or above - because those learners will know enough common words and basic grammar to recognize when it's an indirect translation, ans know enough to generally recognize if a translation is wildly wrong. There are some sentences with incorrect translations, but I find they are not super common, and if using any pre-made learner sentence deck you're likely to run into similar type errors on occasion. So I personally recommend, if you use Clozemaster (or anything pre-made that hasn't been combed multiple times for errors) just remember that while you learn, you may realize later you learned some errors and will need to make minor corrections later. Overall I find Clozemaster sentence collections to have about as many errors as if you were using a pre-made anki deck such as the Core 6k japanese deck, or the original Chinese Spoonfed deck, or one of the many HSK sentences decks I've found. So I think the errors will ultimately not affect learning much, given you are aware that you should not assume each translation is perfect and have a curious mind when noticing things.
What do I recommend you use Clozemaster for?
If you would like to study a language with flashcard sentences, ordered by most common words, pre-made. For the people who want to do sentence flashcards but do not have time to make their own anki decks. If you like anki a lot though, I think some languages have Very Well Made sentence decks ordered by common words with more learner-friendly grammar that gets gradually more complex, so if you like anki you may find anki alternatives better than any of the collections Clozemaster offers! (I personally found Nukemarine's japanese memrise sentence decks to be my favorite content wise, but Clozemasters sentence collections included more grammar similar to dramas/Mangas that I was NOT running into in material curated for learners, so Clozemasters sentences ultimately got me more familiar with more varied grammar).
If you are in the awkward stage of not being able go read material for native speakers yet, but you can read textbook examples and graded readers. Clozemaster is Excellent for giving you generally "graded" reading material. It is in small bite size sentence form so you aren't overwhelmed like you would be with a novel, each sentence usually only has one or a few new elements to teach you, so its fairly comprehensible reading material, and you can usually learn the new word from context. The sentences tend to be varied in content, topic, grammar, complexity, so you get small manageable practice with a variety of things. And the fact sentences are ordered by most common words means you can go in and find where your vocabulary level roughly is, then continue learning from there to Keep building vocabulary until you feel novels etc for natives are manageable. If you have some gaps in common words you know, you can use the sentences to quickly fill in your gaps (and skip sentences you know). If you know plenty of words but just need practice seeing them in different grammar patterns/with varied conjugation, Clozemaster sentences are good for exposing yourself to that variety of presentation. The first time I used Clozemaster was for bridging the gap from being able to read basic nonfiction things in French and graded readers, to being able to read novels. It worked very well. Clozemaster fits very well for upper beginners/lower intermediate learners who no longer need basic curated learner material, but would like some learning supports (translations/graded material difficulty wise) before jumping all the way into only material for native speakers.
If you want pre-made listening material. Especially if you would prefer graded listening material (easier to harder, only a little new info introduced per sentence, ordered from more common words to less), would like to hear your native language then the target language (so audio flashcards) with any kind of order/repetition you want. For this feature you need to pay for Clozemaster (I did because I love this feature, but you could always try it out then cancel if you don't like this feature - also there are free audio flashcard type collections outside of Clozemaster for many languages if you go digging). You just click your sentence collection you want to study, then click Radio Mode. The app will then play sentence audio and play an audio translation if you select for it to, and replay the audio in target language as much as you set it to. The app will keep playing the audio until you stop Radio Mode. So you can listen to it while working, walking, etc. Or you can watch the app while it's in Radio mode - the app will display the sentence text so you can read along. You can set it up so you can use this Radio Mode to do Listening Reading Method, to practice shadowing, to do repetitive listening, or whatever you'd like to do. And of course, you can also just use this mode for extensive listening. This apps Radio Mode is the easiest way I know to Extremely Quickly create a makeshift "audio flashcard" course to listen through. Glossika language courses teach through the audio flashcard method (listening/recognizing/shadowing sentences in your target language, with your native language audio as context), and usually do NOT order the sentences in order of difficulty whereas Clozemaster does. Glossika is not free. Other audio flashcard courses exist for some languages (Japaneseaudiolessons.com is a nice free course for japanese), but Clozemaster can basically do a rough version of this in graded difficulty order for any language on its app. If you want comprehensible audio flashcards FAST, Clozemaster can do it. Or if you want that audio to go up quite a lot of words (some Clozemaster collections have 10k words, 20k words, and many more sentences). Some good free alternatives to Clozemaster that accomplish something similar - search "target-language sentences audio" into YouTube. Find some long video or playlist with X common words in sentences. These video types usually have text (so like clozemaster you can read as you listen if desired), and repeat the sentences in the target language and English (so you can just listen to comprehend and study if you aren't able to read during study time/want to just focus on listening), and are sometimes ordered from more common words to less. For Chinese specifically, if you search Chinese Spoonfed Audio into a websearch there's some great graded difficulty audio flashcard files that cover 8000 words. For japanese, japaneseaudiolessons.com has nice free audio flashcard lessons, and if you websearch core 6k audio you may find the english-japanese audio flashcard files some people have made.
Should you supplement Clozemaster with other stuff?
Yes! ToT
Now, if you're a kind of person who genuinely wants to learn by sentence examples, with pre-made materials, and not study grammar explicitly... yes technically Clozemaster will suit your needs about as well as the average pre-made anki deck. So Clozemaster, in combination with immersion, would eventually get you to a comprehension level where you can generally learn from context during immersion, and then start learning production (which requires new study methods). So like, if you've heard of the Refold (Massive Immersion Approach) and want to learn that way roughly, with pre-made materials rather than making your own anki sentence cards.
If you want to have a bit more explicit study of grammar, pronunciation etc? I would recommend using Clozemaster as a study supplement to other things you're doing. Either: as a sentence flashcard set to pick up common words, a graded reading supplement, a graded listening supplement. This app does not have grammar instruction or explanations - I think some language collections have grammar drills but I have not looked into them so I don't know how good they are, but generally this app is learn by doing (no explanations/lessons). For explicit grammar instruction, explanations etc then some other resources will be needed. Personally, I'd recommend a conventional course (textbook, free website course, grammar guide, class, etc) with Clozemaster as a supplement to get either more reading/listening exposure that's a bit more difficult than learner-oriented material but still easier than native speaker material, or as a supplemental SRS flashcard (or audio flashcard) tool to increase your vocabulary (and some grammar understanding you happen to get from context).
I recommend Clozemaster primarily if you're upper beginner or higher. Because at that stage, it's benefits will be greater and it's downsides will affect you less. And at that learning stage you might be trying to immerse in native content more, and Clozemaster works great as material relatively graded to your comprehension level so you can gradually Raise your comprehension level, which will make immersion easier. If you're an upper beginner, false beginner, or anyone with some prior language knowledge, Clozemaster is going to be easier for you to utilize and quickly learn from.
If you are a total beginner? Clozemaster can be useful too, especially if you remember not to assume everything you see is 100% correct. If you enjoy learning through context then the app may be easier for you to use earlier on. If you're a total beginner I would Really Recommend using other study resources too, to fill in gaps in understanding and clarify things that Clozemaster absolutely won't make clear. (As a beginner, Clozemaster is like being given a bunch of example sentences with usually similar translations next to them then told to Learn a language by context/comparing/problem solving... which is quite a difficult task to do with no outside resources lol). A beginner is going to have to put way more work into understanding the first few hundred sentences. That said - I have seen people who went from beginner to intermediate (as in knowing nothing to being able to immerse in target language materials and understand the material enough to move onto just studying from target language materials) with just the app. So it can be done. For me personally, the steep initial difficulty curve as a beginner means I haven't personally done it. But it's definitely possible to do.
If you don't know anything about the writing system in the target language you are studying... I REALLY Recommend at least bare bones familiarity before using Clozemaster. The will not explain anything to you. I checked out the Korean Clozemaster sentences as a total beginner and realized I NEED to grasp Hangul before I am going to be able to learn much. If you start the chinese course, you wl desperately want to know some highly common hanzi beforehand otherwise the learning curve will be intensely steep at first (and the difficulty curve with Clozemaster is already at its hardest for the first few hundred words since the sentences will have to contain multiple words you don't know yet - whereas later sentences will genuinely be less likely to have as many new words/grammar points per example). You will be in deep water if you're grappling with many new words, new grammar points, and you don't recognize any hanzi at all yet. Same goes for the Japanese sentences - at minimum know hiragana and katakana so you have some context for the sentences you see. Then you may also want to know some common Kanji before starting so you're not brute force trying to memorize all the new common Kanji you see at the start of the sentence collection. Same with Thai or Russian or any language with an unfamiliar writing system - learn Some basics before you use Clozemaster or the initial difficulty curve will be really annoyingly steep. (But hey if you really enjoy that difficulty curve... I've seen people manage it.)
Things I've used Clozemaster successfully for?
1. As an upper beginner in French who could read some non-fiction and graded readers, I used the app for a few months just doing the sentences. I used them as graded reading practice. Afterward, I found reading a bit higher level reading materials like novels much more doable.
2. As a false beginner in Japanese (I knew about ~1000 words roughly, had studied some grammar, had studied some specific points like particles in depth but forgotten, knew roughly ~500 Kanji and knew around ~1200 hanzi in case that vaguely helped my Kanji recognition), I went through the entire 100 most common word collection in Clozemaster. It took 1-2 months. I did not prioritize review, I did some new sentences each day (and some reviews if they happened to pop up). So I primarily tried to get through all the cards at least once, rather than trying to master all cards. I went through 632 sentences (so I got varied examples of those 100 common words, along with exposure to other words in those sentences beyond the 100 most common words). As a false beginner, I was filling in gaps in my basic knowledge and getting some varied graded reading practice. Afterward, I found reading manga much more doable (whereas before I could not grasp many sentence main ideas without a dictionary and only sometimes main chapter ideas without a dictionary), and could start playing Kingdom Hearts 2 in Japanese (so a combo of my prior context knowing the game in English plus grammar/common words I'd gotten more familiar with by doing the Clozemaster sentences), could play Persona 2 and Crisis Core in japanese. It was enough improvement to allow me to immerse in target language materials that previously required much more constant use of a dictionary. It did not make me able to understand things perfectly lol, that will take many many more years of studying. But it let me finally break into reading/engaging with things I previously found too difficult. For both points 1 and 2, pre-made sentence flashcards in anki or memrise or another resource would likely work similarly well. What primarily helped me was that clozemaster could fill gaps in vocabulary I had, and expose me to grammar I wasn't seeing often or at all in my other study materials (like I love Nukemarines resources but they're very learner tailored examples, whereas I think Clozemaster forcing me to see intensely varied grammar and just "figure it out" prepared me better for trying to read and figure things out).
3. As a false beginner in Japanese and upper beginner in Chinese, I used the Radio Mode in Clozemaster for about a month. Just listening to the sentences in english/target language in the background whenever I had time like during work, doing chores, walking, when level grinding in video games etc. To see if it would improve my listening comprehension. It did. And I personally learned from thar experience that: repetitive listening improves my listening comprehension skills a lot - like audio flashcards and audiobooks etc, and I personally can learn new words fairly well from graded difficulty audio flashcards/Clozemaster. So it's ultimately a study method I still use in various ways. Anyway after that Clozemaster Radio Mode experiment: my listening comprehension without any text aids was significantly better (biggest benefit). My listening skill in Chinese got closer to my reading skill (though reading is still somewhat better). My listening skill in Japanese got DECENT for the first time pretty much ever... before this my Japanese reading skill had been weak and listening had been near useless. Specifically I noticed I got better at parsing words in both languages (hearing word/sentence chunks distinctly which even helps with unknown words just so I can isolate what is unknown and look it up easier), interpreting grammar automatically (ALL that Japanese listening really helped me with interpreting Japanese grammar more quickly whereas before I had to rethink everything into English word order whether reading or listening which... took a lot of time and lowered my ability to comprehend things). I do not think Clozemaster itself is needed for this study activity - any repetitive listening of audio flashcard type audio should work as well. Clozemaster is just one quick to access and already pre-made option. Some languages have many good free audio flashcard type resources out there.

Hi!! So sorry for barging into your ask box like this, but I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I was wondering if you had any tips specifically for people about to sit a Norwegian exam? I’ll be taking Norskprøven C1 next month and I am honestly crapping my pants rn. I don’t know how I’m supposed to practice since there seems to be so few resources online, and the test is so expensive I can’t bear the thought of having to take it again… I’m seriously considering signing up for the regular Norskprøven in addition to C1 just in case I happen to actually be at A2 or something💀💀
Hi there! Omg never apologise for coming into my ask box with questions about Norwegian 😅 As for tips: I don't know too much about Norskprøven C1 as I've not taken it and it's very new, so there's limited resources about it (as you've obviously discovered). But it seems to me that some of the sections are similar to the Bergenstest (lmk if you want the past papers), so here are some things I found helpful/things my tutors advised me to do (it's long, so I'm sorry about that):
PREPARING FOR THE EXAM
1) First things first, make sure you're familiar with the marking scheme (which can be found here under retningslinjer og veiledninger - vurdering). This is exam technique 101 - make sure you know what they're looking for. It doesn't matter how good you are; if you don't give the examiners what they want or expect, you will lose marks that you don't need to lose.
2) Listen to things all the time, every day. Radio, podcasts, TV shows, the news. And parrot things. Parrot common phrases, parrot phrases you like and think will be useful, parrot new words, parrot intonation and stress patterns. This is gonna improve your speaking like you will not believe - that muscle memory is gonna be so key to sounding fluent.
3) Make flashcard decks (I use the free rip-off version of the Anki app) for different topics and write new and useful words down along with sample sentences. Please learn from my mistake and don't just throw the words on their own into a flashcard deck because you'll end up with words that you can kinda recognise but can't actually use yourself. Write down the full sentence.
3a) I say new and useful words and not just new words because words you think you know may not actually be in your active vocabulary and will elude you when you actually need to use them. So be sure to practise them.
4) If you have the means: talk to as many different people as possible about a variety of common topics (the housing market, immigration, personal economy, the education system, friluftsliv, healthy lifestyles, public transport etc). Discuss and debate things. If you're asked to give an opinion and defend it, it's a hell of a lot easier if you have some kind of opinions to start with (no joke 90% of the time when I was doing practice essays/speaking I would be like "wow I literally do not have an opinion on this topic and wouldn't know how to express it if I did". So I listened to podcasts and read articles and just borrowed other people's opinions).
5) Read every day. If you don't already, I highly recommend forskning.no for articles (or even better, their sister site forskersonen.no - that's where you'll find opinions and debates) because the C1 test is basically academic-level. Practise skim-reading, practise reading thoroughly without looking up vocabulary, and then make sure you look up vocabulary you think will be useful.
6) Write essays. Write them timed without a dictionary and make a note of the words you wanted to use but didn't know. Look up those words. Find sample sentences with those words. Write them out. (Also idk if Norskprøven is on a computer or handwritten but if it's handwritten please make sure you do your practice essays by hand).
Not sure what to write about? Find anything on forskersonen.no with 'debatt' written across it or watch Debatten for inspiration (I can also send you a list with a tonne of essay ideas or Bergenstest past papers if you want. Obviously it's a different exam, but the writing section sounds basically the same) and make your own yes/no essay question to answer based on that.
6a) In regards to essay structure, this is the structure I saw on a Bergenstest C1 example and one that my tutor recommended to me:
Paragraph one: introduce the topic. Do not include your opinion here; simply state facts (when I say facts, I don't mean statistics! Wishy-washy statements like "many people think" and "it's often reported that" are fine. No one expects you to be able to pull exact numbers out of your ass).
Paragraphs two+: start by introducing your opinion, then go on to explain why you think that. Include as many paragraphs as you like, but remember your essay has to be 300-400 words. It's a good idea to include counter-arguments to your own opinion and then explain why you don't think they're valid. Use your own discretion when dividing things up into paragraphs: are you gonna have one paragraph for each point, which will include counter-arguments regarding that point? Or are you gonna put counter-arguments and your counter-counter-arguments in a separate paragraph?
Final paragraph: conclusion. Sum up what you've said in a nice concise way.
You can also use paragraphs 2+ to discuss advantages and disadvantages and then conclude with your opinion in the final paragraph, HOWEVER, it very specifically asks you to give your opinion and DEFEND IT, which is why I suggest you do it the way I've outlined above.
7) After you've written your essays, give it a day and then go back and correct your mistakes. It won't be long before you become very conscious of the dumb grammatical mistakes you make and stop making them (or at least know what to watch out for when proofreading during the exam). If you have friends willing to help you, ask them to read it and see what they think.
8) Personally, I found the interview report (looks like there's a similar section on Norskprøven C1, although it's a conversation rather than an interview) to be the most difficult part. You can practise by listening to podcasts and taking notes (not for the whole thing, but just the first 5-10 minutes or so). Remember you don't have to write every part of the conversation; just the main points (obviously it's good to get as much information as possible, but don't panic if you miss some details)
9) Practise your strategies! For the reading section: are you gonna take notes and make your summary as you go along? Are you gonna read the whole text first thoroughly and then make notes? For the listening section: are you just gonna listen the first time round and only make notes the second time, or are you gonna take notes the first time and check/add to them the second time? Try things out and see what works for you.
10) This sounds really dumb but practice relaxing and refocusing. You don't want to end up panicking in the exam, because our memory is garbage when we panic. When you start to get panicky, try saying shit to yourself like "that kind of thinking is not helpful. Let's focus on what I can do right now". Come across a word you don't know? "Let's move on for now; the context might help me work it out later." Didn't catch what the speaker was saying? "I don't need to write every detail; just listen to everything else and write what I can." No idea what to write in your essay? "They're marking my language, not my opinions. It's not important if my opinion is garbage as long as I can defend it." And of course the very general ones: "I've got this. I've practised this. I don't have to know every single word. I'm capable of working around what I don't know. It's understandable and normal that I'm nervous; it doesn't mean I can't do it. I am in control."
ON THE DAY OF THE EXAM:
1) Please, for the love of God, remember to take water and snacks with you. I forgot water and felt like I was about to die by the end of the day.
2) Remember that the examiners want to see what you CAN do, not what you can't. Don't panic if you forget words (I forgot some really fucking basic ones in my speaking exam, like å organisere / å integrere) and still got C1 because I just rephrased what I wanted to say and said something else. People do that all the time even when they're native speakers. Just use your filler words.
3) For the writing section: plan your essay first. I recommend writing columns tilted AGREE and DISAGREE and just getting as many ideas as you can down, then work out how to put them into the structure I talked about above. And remember: a shorter, more concise essay with appropriate vocabulary is better than a lengthy essay with fancy words used inappropriately. Yes, you need to showcase a good range of grammatical structures and vocabulary, but that vocabulary should absolutely be used in the right context.
4) USE EVERY SINGLE MINUTE YOU HAVE TO CHECK AND DOUBLE CHECK YOUR WORK. DO NOT LEAVE THE EXAM EARLY. I "finished" the exam about 45 minutes before the time was up. I spent that time checking, double-checking and triple-checking. And then ONE MINUTE before we had to hand our papers in, I saw I'd made a mistake. It could well have been the difference between B2 and C1. So no matter how early you finish, no matter how done you think you are, keep checking things. You never know when that "oh FUCK that is NOT the word I meant to use at all!" moment is going to happen, and if it happens 5 minutes before the exam time is up, you're gonna still want to be in that exam room where you can do something about it.
5) Trust your gut. At this level you should've had enough exposure to the language to just kinda know some things instinctively, even if you've not learned it formally and you're not 100% sure (prepositions, I'm looking at you).
Okay, I think that's all I've got for now. I know it's long, but I hope some of it was useful to you! Best of luck - please let me know how it goes :)

Can you please make JJK boys HCs where their s/o is multilingual? Like they speak several languages and sometimes get asked around in Tokyo by foreigners and they get jealous bc they think it's hot but can't understand a single word at the same time. I just think it'll be cute and funny! ( U can ignore if u like) thank you tho ❤️
HC: S/O IS MULTILINGUAL | JJK
Music Genre: Rock | JJK
Characters: Gojou, Yuuji, Megumi
Warnings: cursing + slightttt suggestive content (if ya squint)
Music Collection | Tip Jar | Requests
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚:
Shop Owner’s Note: Omg how could I ignore this! Thank you so much anon for requesting, this ask is just the cutest! It isn’t very long, so I hope that’s okay-I literally wrote this at like 12 in the morning so if it’s a shit show I’m sorry 😂💀
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚:
Tumblr media
The first time he hears you talk in another language it’s GAME OVER
He is instantly in love with the way you sound in this other language-whether it be English, Spanish, Turkish, Chinese, etc
He just thinks it’s so hot
Keeps asking you to say certain phrases in your language,,,,
It’ll start out simple like “Good morning,” and “How are you?”
But Gojo being Gojo, he’ll progressively make the phrases more intimate and flirtatious, asking you to say his name with your slight accent change from the language, how to say “I love you”,,,,,
The dude Probabaly found a new kink of his tbh 😂💀
Asked you how to say “beautiful” and now that’s your new pet name now
He really loves it when you have any chance to use your language, because you sadly speak in it so rarely even though it sounds so beautiful to him
But what he doesn’t like is when you talk to people for a freaking LONGGGGG time
Gojo is hoenstly really hyper sometimes, so if your helping a tourist in the middle of Tokyo, especially if your on your way to Gojou’s favorite bakery
This dude will do everything in his power to break you away
He tries to be subtle about it at first, like holding your hand and giving it a small squeeze,
But your not even noticing and now your laughing at whatever this random person said and he doesn’t even know what your saying...
it kinda irks him so much of your attention isn’t on him, so his solution to that is wrapping his arms around your waist, encasing you from behind
“Tell then you have to go doll, I’m starving ya know,” he whispered this into you ear, and the way he says it makes you think he’s not starving for food (if ya catch my drift) 👀😳
So with big shocked eyes and teeth biting your lower lip, you quickly bid the stranger farewell and follow Gojo, hands firmly placed in his
Gojo is hoenstly just really good at getting you to do what he wants, it’s kinda scary at this point 💀
Tumblr media
Omg he is just amazeddddddddd
Like whoa he’s s/o is pretty, brave, AND smart?!
Damn he feels so lucky rn 🥺
He’s so excited by this new revelation, with a huge, boyish smile and eyes sparkling
If you ever try to downplay your language speaking skills, like “Oh I’m not very good at it” or “It’s not that big of a deal, a lot of people speak it” he won’t be having any of it!
Yuuji is your biggest hype man, just forcing you to be proud of yourself sometimes
“Cmon y/n you gotta admit it’s pretty cool! Some people can barely speak one language...and you can speak a whole other one!”
Deifnitely begs you to teach him, so whenever you to are out together, you’ll point out objects with your free hand that isn’t holding Yuuji’s, telling him what the objects are called in your language
Yuuji is surprisingly a very quick learner! He has struggles with grammar, but he’s very good at learning the Vocab
Your proudest moment tho was when Yuuji stubbed his toe on his bed and Sukuna must have felt it to,
Cause as Itadori was yelping Sukuna locked through Itadori’s cheek, and cussed in your language 💀
Itadori loves it when you help other people, cause it reminds him of how selfless and kind you are
Yet it just bothers him when other guys talk to you
Especially if they seem to be into you...making you laugh and smile, and they’re giving you that one “look” that kinda hints at their real motives in talking to you
And he’s just like - The hell bro I’m right here.
The worst part is that he really doesn’t know what your saying...sure, he can pick up a few words now but not able to piece the conversation together
Sukuna is calling him a “spineless imbecile” in his head and finding this whole situation hilarious as hell
He doesn’t like looking jealous, but once he knows 100% certain you’re getting hit on he intervenes quick
Usually he knows cause if your body language-you just look less into the cinversation, your body language shrinks in to protect yourself, and you laughs turn to uncomfortable chuckles
He quickly swoops in, loving how relieved you look as he wraps his arms around your shoulder, pulling you against you chest
“Thanks for talking to my girlfriend, but we will be going now,” he states plainly, his voice wounding kind yet eyes shooting our venom at the dude
But the amazing thing he said all that in your language
Proud ass moment 🥺🥺🥺🥺
Tumblr media
He’s gonna act so indifferent
Like language skills? Okay cool to know
Literally so bland about it like-
“Youre bilingual? Cool.”
Don’t let that fool you tho, this guy is kinda freaking out inside
Cause why was he so attracted to you speaking another language? Why does he want to learn it now? Maybe he should, right? Would it be wierd if he didn’t-
Hoenstly, he’s overthinking it 💀
His favorite thing is when you cuss in your language, he hoenstly finds it super funny
But jokes on him cause now he’s cursing in your language too 💀
Likes it when he has his head in your lap as you play with his hair, and hear you practice your language
The dude will literally hold up your phone/flashcards so you can play with his hair and study
Soemtiems he gets too comfy tho and falls asleep
Once he dropped your phone on his face and he a huge bruise right on the bridge of his nose 💀
First time he heard you talk in your language was when you were in Tokyo, in a mission together by yourselves
And this tourist came up to you guys who was obviously lost-
And you just whipped out this new language like it was nothing
Megumi has never been more confused-cause you never told him about knowing another language, like the hell did this come from?
Suddenly his cheeks are getting red cause wait why do you sound so hot?
Like all that shit he told Aoi about liking women with an “unshakable character” went out the damn window
He’s type now is being multilingual 💀

Can I get a ship pls 🥺
I’m about 5’6, I’m a libra and my favorite color is yellow. I’m an active and outgoing person and I always try to make everyone smile and laugh. I’m a mathematics and psychology major in my 3rd year of college rn, so it’s a little stressful at times. I love going outside, cloud watching and hiking, but I also love to stay inside and build blanket forts for cuddling and movie nights.
I ship you with...
Steve Rogers!!
Tumblr media
- now (it's not shown in the movies a lot @russo brothers) but this man has some serious PTSD
- so you're his little ball of sunshine
- and whenever you're stressed he will literally drop everything for you
- bringing you your favorite drink while your studying
- holding you when you get overwhelmed
- this bitch will go through flashcards with you even though he has no idea what they mean
- movie nights are the best
- cause steve rogers is a CUDDLER
- he'll wrap his arms around you and give you soft kisses thinking about how he wouldn't trade this for anything in the world

ATEEZ as students studying
HONGJOONG:
king of self-care! but studies for 15 minutes then take a 2 hour break and calls it self-care (omg he thinks he’s me or smth)
has power naps every single day at least 30 mins because he’s Stressed
always thinking of ways to drop out during the middle of lectures
that one kid that talks to nobody & sits at the back of the class with his hood on to hide his airpods
doesn’t do it anymore bc one time it disconnected and “there’s some whores in this house” blasted out loud & now he’s paranoid
shows up to group studies but lets the group carry him,,, but he puts out One Really good idea to get his name on the paper
only cares about topics he’s interested in, other than that he’s just astral projecting
“yo can you send me your answers so i can compare mine?” but he copies it and says “we got the same answers” (all men do is lie</3)
calculates his marks; “ok so i need at least a 80 on this...oh wait no, a 95...damn okay...”
the type to arrives late with ice coffee
SEONGHWA:
wakes up at 5 am to study instead of staying up
scented candles and lofi music for the ~studying mood~
a linguistic learner
learns best by teaching others so he’ll do group studies often to help other people
teaches people without making them feel dumb
uses grammarly for his emails with 3 paragraphs asking 1 question with a proper greeting and a ‘sincerely, park seonghwa’
professor: ok - sent from iphone
you’ll never see him during exams week, he’s Gone
a loyal user of the outline method
his desk must be cleared at all times! a clean workspace makes it easier to focus
brings extra pencil just in case anyone needs them bc he’s the sweetest person ever (he’s fully aware that he’ll never get them back but it’s okay bc sharing is caring)
does his readings on time (you’ll never catch him slacking)
actually has his shit together for the most part 1/2
YUNHO:
writes “i love you” or “sorry” at the end of his tests (that he bombed)
the type to ask you to print “just one thing real quick” and it’s 15 page and at 2 am
uses emojis like :D & \(^o^)/ when sending emails to his professors
has a bad habit of copying word for word on the slide and he doesn’t actually understand/learn anything
goes to the library bc he thinks that’ll help him be in the ~studying vibe~
it doesn’t. ends up texting or watching youtube gameplay
has never heard of the colour-coding system in his entire life and ends up with a page filled with neon highlight
snacks breaks are the only thing keeping him Normal
leaves himself an encouraging note at the end of the reading page so when he’s finished he feels good !!
friends with all of the professors and uses all office hours
strongest points are his guessing skills in multiple-choice questions (process of elimination ftw!)
he tries his best, doesn’t care about marks that much because he knows it doesn’t determine him (and he’s right!)
YEOSANG:
probably runs a studyblr/gram
has the cutest note ever, his handwriting is so pretty!!
he thinks that buying an ipad pro & apple pencil will make him smarter
likes it bc he can doodle on it then erase them easily :”)
has to wear blue ray glasses because of how he looks at a screen so much
mildliners, muji 0.38 gel pen, 6 ring binder, minimal planner, washi tapes, you name it! he visits muji and daiso every other week
buys wayyy too many planners and notebooks which he never ends up using
only uses pastel mildliners because they’re easy on the eyes. cringes every time he sees yunho’s highlighters v_v
his flaw is that he spends 10 mins writing his header with brush tip pens
mutes the group project gc but gets his part done like the good classmate he is
sweats every time he gets an assignment back, takes a whole ten minute to mentally prepare himself
a visual learner; makes mind maps, flow charts, etc
actually has a working printer that he uses pretty often to prints lessons before class just to be Extra prepare

exclusively uses college ruled paper like the sane person he is
SAN:
uses wide-ruled paper (unfortunately not everyone is perfect</3)
starts off very positive, motivated, and organized
then everything goes downhill by the second week
will definitely set byeol on top of his keyboard, take a picture, and send it to his professor as an ‘excuse’ as why he needs an extension (it works)
can’t sit still for any longer than 30 mins, his legs are always bouncing or fidgeting with pen
flashcard king! spends a lot of time on them but it’s worth it
a utensil chewer (always willing to share his pencil but when ppl saw the bite marks they’re like No Thanks >_>)
can’t study well with groups or himself bc he’ll be distracted,,, so he needs one person that can ground him bc when they’re in the zone, he will too be on his x game mode
sends his assignment at 11:58 pm hoping his professor will take the Hint (plz don’t be afraid to ask for help u_u)
prefers listening to ghibli studio soundtracks but then he either gets emotional or sleepy
sometimes forget to mute his mic and we just hear him groaning in frustration
“haha sorry i just stubbed my toe...”
then mutes his mic and goes back to his mental breakdown
MINGI:
the only person that studies every single day just to get his brain used to the information and running
probably listens to anime op or edm music for that Energy Boost
everyone either hates or love him because...
1. loves him bc he always comes clutched with study guides (and willing to share if he likes you enough)
2. he’s good at everything even if he’s not paying attention/doing it last minute
just naturally good at retaining information and applying them
asks Big Brain question that even the professors are shook
sometimes he gets super into the topic and wants to know Everything
“i’ve never failed an exam in my life” and he’s right! big brain mingi
fetal flaw is that he forgets easily (hence why the last minute) and has to write on his palm as a reminder
clicks his pens All the time so he switched to pens with caps just to keep others from jumping him
takes naps 10 mins before classes
actually has his shit together for the post part 2/2
“if no one got me, i know khan academy and quizlet got me. can i get an amen”
WOOYOUNG:
y’all know that one mf that doesn’t have a pencil?
yea he’s been using the same one someone lend to him before a test and never returned it
it’s been two months and it’s still working well and they’re never going to get it back
a minimalist,,,, but in a bad way</3 bc he carries his stolen pencil and paper that he spilled his energy drink over and that’s about it
just throw loose papers in his bag and forgets about their existence
doesn’t do binders or notebooks, just crumbled up paper
sometimes carries a textbook just to show everyone that he’s got his life together
really noisy for No reason, always wants to know other’s marks
a kinesthetic learner
hides his screen with he gets the kahoot questions wrong (you’ll never catch him slippin)
plays coolmathgames.com during class
doesn’t really know what to study/prioritize so he overwhelms himself with every single topic ever
thinks he’s god by pulling an all-nighter to look at the 60+ slides last minute
Swears he’ll change and do better next semester,,,</3
goes to the cafe, takes pictures of his notes & laptop, post it on his story, then leaves
JONGHO:
thrives off of red bull and ice americanos
gets notes and study guides from his upperclassmen because everyone loves jongho
an audio learner so he’ll probably work out or go on a jog while listening to lessons/audiobook
never pulls all-nighters bc it messes up his sleep schedule and says he’ll do it in the morning but he never does
doesn’t even own a highlighter, he’ll circle or underline stuff with a red or black pen
has never touched a textbook in his life
only the study guides and slides, his textbook is collecting dust rn
his notes are literally Only for him because his handwriting only makes sense to him
has questionable handwriting,,, it’s like decoding
multitasks a lot but it ends up taking a lot longer than he wanted to (bc it’s a myth)
very spontaneous; he’ll grind for 5 hours straight but sometimes he won’t even touch a pencil
works best when he talks about the work in groups and share information with each other, like having a convo about the topic
unmutes his mic Once after the lesson to say “bye”
does his work right after the lessons but then takes a short break & doesn’t even Look back for the rest of the night

hi can i request a lil something where wayv or the dreamies studies with their s/o for a test? having exam season rn and lacking the willpower to study so yea 🥴 thank you so much!! 🥰
hey bubs!! i feel you so much omg. i can’t wait for school to be over and finally be on summer break! i chose wayv for this, i hope that’s okay! thank you for the request! 💞 good luck with your exams!!
Qian Kun
studying with kun is so.... productive
like,,,, he doesn’t allow any joking around?? literally uses a reward system with you so you stop procastinating and doesn’t allow any private talks until you stopped studying ehdhdh you may aswell be studying with your teacher
but !! his reward system is the best. every answer u get right is one free kiss 🥺🥺 also makes sure that you stay hydrated and cooks you food while you’re studying!! where can i find a qian kun
Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul
there’s only two possible outcomes to this. you either get shit done or you’ll literally abandon all your work max 5 mins in HDHHDDBDB
promises to help you but then doesn’t know anything and suggests making out instead of studying. sir ........ i have an algebra test tomorrow . PRIORITIES.
if it goes well though, studying with him can be pretty fun, actually !! he uses little jokes that you use to memorize certain grammar rules for example !! oh yeah this is big brain time
Dong Sicheng
sicheng is as confused as you are. your page is still empty, an hour has passed, and you’re both none the wiser. congrats !!
honestly sicheng is so intelligent but i’d think he’d be the type of student who has no idea how to study with others??? because he learns by writing down and memorizing???????? relatable sicheng
will take care of you tho!!! gives u lots of kisses and encouragement, and he still tries his best to help with anything he can !!
Wong Yukhei
ma’am... sweetheart........... DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN STUDY IN A ROOM WHERE WONG YUKHEI RESIDES??? NOOOOO this mf needs to have all your attention: [all the time]
keeps crawling on your lap even though you’ve told him thousand of times now that he’s a big lanky baby and he’s going to crush you. mans just wants to be held and you know what ? Me Too.
if he’s not distracting you, this sweet and gentle giant is going to fall asleep on you. it’s finally quiet enough for you to actually study, but you’re pretty sure your legs are dying from the lack of blood circulation
Xiao Dejun
i ...... i’m gonna say something so weird and i absolutely cannot explain this but this man has ✨ i n t e l l i g e n t v i b e s ✨ I CANT TELL YOU WHY IT’S JUST A MOOD
he’s the best and worst teacher at the same time. explains everything to you very patiently and i SWEAR you will understand everything and anything if he explains it !! but: gets so easily distracted it’s INSANE
one second he’s explaining math to you and the next he throws your flashcards aside to tackle & cuddle you
Wong Kunhang
listen this man is an enigma i can’t tell you anything for sure. like,,, yes he is ten’s chinese teacher but also ? the amount of energy this man possesses ?????? does he ever ???????? stop and breathe ???????????????
you have to use the reward system on HIM !! like if he explains u how tf to calculate this, you promise you’re gonna kiss him and it helps for like half an hour until he’s bored and decides he’s in the mood for sexy times
you definitely flunked that test but atleast the wong kunghang made out with you 😔✊
Liu Yangyang
my sweet babyboy. my darling prince. love of my life. PLEASE STOP JUMPING UP AND DOWN AND START HELPING US WE’RE GONNA F A I L
needs some convincing to help you study because :////// the things he could do instead... like eat a pizza or sth.... but once he’s convinced, things turn pretty serious/productive.
explains very calmly and never once belittles you, even if you don’t understand it after even the fifth time. kisses you as encouragement 🥺🥺 this man isnt called the most intelligent for nothing, he’s gonna make you ace that test
