Manager!Seijoh IWA ROUTE
a/n: uwuwuwuwuwu my mans iwa chan :’)
IM A SIMP FOR IWAIZUMI HAJIME (27) ATHLETE TRAINER
uwu filo!iwa in this :)
and also, listen to lauv while reading this since i wrote this and that song was playing on repeat O_O and also this song
this is my self-request uwu
HES SUCH A POUTY BABIE BLS LOVE ON HIM
onwards we goooo
hihihihihihi yey im so excited for this yall dont even know
ANYWAYS
so,,,,
when iwa first saw you, he thought you were just a cute little thing
your shorter height, your puffy cheeks, and the wide eyes you had whenever you saw someone, or him, do a really cool spiking move
he initially thought of you as a cute little sister hes never had
ehehe that finna change
then the,,,, bullying thing happened
if youd like to read this part, its right here
when he saw you bloodied, all battered,
dear lordie he was finna break some ankles
ONG I WAS JUST TALKING ABOUT SANGWOO YET HERE I AM
like that image of you will probably stay in his memory until he dies of the ripe age of 200
ngl it kinda traumatized him a little bit of how tired and pained you look with the tears rolling down your face and the blood that was escaping your body through your wounds
god you didnt deserve any of that
you deserved the world and the universe yet some people dared to take away your worth
ooo he was so mad
miyo was,,,, hurt??
can i say that??
i dont wanna,,,, explain bara arms iwa hurting a girl so youre gonna have to imagine that for yourselves
but at the end when they said slap, he didnt just ✨S L A P ✨ her
he ✨ B R O K E S O M E A N K L E S ✨
oiks is actually scared of him after that
like oiks had to peel him off of her and towards the infirmary where you and the team were
‘IWAIZUMI HAJIME, STOP!’
oof the first and last time oikawa tooru ever said that full name
he was breathing heavy and he was so ✨ A N G R Y ✨ with what she did to you yet he hears your soft scoldings, telling him off for hurting a girl
he wanted to see you
like right now
iwa tore himself from oikawa’s grasp and ✨ N Y O O M E D ✨ himself to the nurse’s office
there, you sat on the bed with the others scattered either on other beds or on the floor
you smiled at the sight of him and he walked towards you and engulfed you in his arms
‘youre okay now. im here’
he whispered and you buried your face into his chest, breathing in his unique scent
lavender mixed with peppermint
he refused to leave your side so he ✨ M A D E ✨ some room on the bed beside you to sit and he wrapped his arm around your waist, holding you close
you held his hand while oikawa talked to you and as you shamefully bowed your head
but you were forgiven and everything was all good until the third years really got into plan
makki and mattsun promised to handle it all as they had family in the justice field while oikawa would go and get the girl suspended
‘but what about me?! i want-’
‘iwaizumi, you literally hit her. it’d be best if you’re not involved right now as you were the only one who physically touched her in a harmful manner like that’
ong when it come to y/n, the meme team is replaced by the assassin team
he tried to fight but in the end, 3 overpowered 1 and he was forced to sit back and opted to comfort you instead
he made sure you were safe to walk home but that day, you were the one who asked him to spend time with him
just you two
like after seeing him seethingly enter back into the room, you reached out and held his hand in yours, eyes trained on your fingers fiddling with his
‘iwa-san,,,, you said you downloaded the new godzilla movie?’
you whispered but he could still hear you and his heart swelled at your meek voice
‘yea, i did. and my mom bought those chips you like’
your eyes flitted up to meet his eyes and a soft smile spread on your lips and there was this thumping in his heart
maybe that was the first time that iwaizumi hajime felt differently towards you
a smile that seemed to be differently perceived than the rest
and it wasnt for the whole team
it was for him
and him alone
the trek to his house was quiet but you would hum nursery rhymes or the songs you heard earlier in the radio while skipping every few steps and tightly holding on to his hand
iwaizumi’s olive eyes watched you still radiate energy despite being so hurt for a long time
they then trailed to your linked hands and he unintentionally squeezed it, only figuring out he did it when you looked up to him and squeezed it back with a smile
he wanted to do something to make you forget of what happened
he didnt want you to think about the cruelty and pain so he was going to make sure you would continue smiling
thankfully, his parents werent home so he wouldnt have to explain why he has a bandage-covered girl with him
iwa led you upstairs to where his room was and your eyes widened when you saw what was inside
tiny action figurines of animes like bakugo from boku no hero academia or a tiny pikachu on his desk
there was a large country flag that you didnt recognize and a few godzilla posters and volleyball players decorating beside it
however, besides those normal things you wouldve expected,
there were many polaroids
polaroid pictures that were everywhere with no specific layout pattern and just placed anywhere that had room
iwa watched as you dazedly walked forward and entered the room to move towards the wall by his desk that had the most pictures against it
from pictures of him and oikawa to the third years to him and his parents or just the sunrise and human silhouettes
your fingers reached forward and traced the picture of him and the third years when they were still first years and took a spontaneous trip to the beach
‘mattsun stole his dad’s car and drove us to the beach without a license’
iwaizumi’s voice answered your questions and you looked back, shimmering eyes
this room,,, wasnt just a normal, teenage boy’s room
this was a room that represented iwaizumi hajime
from his natural character description like his love for volleyball evident in the volleyball player posters to the underneath description that was hidden like his love for godzilla and his love of taking pictures of the people he cares about the most
it was all that made up iwaizumi hajime
your feet took you to stand in front of him, still standing at the doorway, and you stood on your toes to try and be eye-level with him
‘youre really cool, iwa-san’
you whispered and his ears turned red, not from the compliment, but by the close distance between you two
iwa clearedhis throat and ruffled your hair roughly, pushing you down slightly back to the balls of your feet
‘i already knew that, brat. now go and sit over there and be comfortable or whatever while i go get the food’
he hurriedly turned to hide his growing red face but you stopped him
‘iwa-san,,, ano,,, can,, i borrow a hoodie?’
you mumbled, nervously thinking he might refuse
but he grunted a response, not bothering to turn around
‘take your pick’
you smiled and thanked him before bounding over to the wardrobe that was pushed against the wall across his bed that was against the corner by his window
inside had so many hoodies and there were also shirts that were hung up on the other half
they were all graphic tees that either had american bands or anime or game references
opting for a mint green hoodie that says ‘SONIC NYOOM’, you had an undershirt under your button up and as you slipped the bloodied long sleeve off, he swung the door open, eyes focused on the tray of coke filled glasses
then he looked up and almost dropped it at the sight of you,,, like that
‘OH MY GOD SORRY’
he shrieked and carefully but hurriedly backtracked back to the hallway
ofc you were shocked too but you quickly put the hoodie on and went to get him
iwaizumi’s heart was hammering in his chest and he was VERY red with embarrassment
how could he see you like that?!
a girl who wasnt his shouldnt be seen like that by his eyes!
a touch on his arm reminded him of his position and he was still holding the tray but it was clear from the liquid in the cups that he was shaking slightly
‘iwa-san, its okay. i still had a shirt on so dont misunderstand’
you reasoned and he nodded, still not looking at you
the beginning of the movie was quite awkward as you both were sitting next to each other on the floor, backs against his mattress while the laptop played godzilla in front of yall
but it seems it was just him who was feeling this way bc you were intrigued at this weird monster that was squshing building under its foot and you continued munching on the food
iwa stood up and coughed
‘im going to take a shower’
you paused it and stared up at him, a chip halfway in your mouth
‘oh? you want me to wait for you?’
he agressively shook his head
‘no! its okay i watched it already. just,,,, watch it’
at the end, his words came out jumbled in his hurry to go and calm his heart down
you shrugged and unpaused the movie to continue watching
iwa spent his time in the shower, thinking and trying to think of stupid thoughts like the time oikawa almost choked on a peanut when they were in middle school to distract him of thoughts of how adorable you were
ONG HE WAS JUST SHOWERING AND INNOCENTLY DOING SHOWER THINGS
‘no, i said she was like a sister to me. and a sister she’ll remain’
okay ngl even though theyre not related, im worried yall would be like ‘iNcESt’ but bls a lot of people have tried to sibling-zoned people yet realized they liked them in THAT way
as he wrapped himself with a towel, he then realized
oh my god he didnt bring clothes
LMAO NOOOO IWAAAAA
iwa frantically looked around and he saw his mother’s sakura themed robe and he paused, arguing silently with him if he should wear it
well, it was either that or he went back into the room and showed you,,,,,, this
sucking in a sharp breath, he kept the towel around his waist and slipped his arms through the tight arm holes and he awkwardly tried to keep it tied since he was so much bigger than his tiny mom
what is happening
you saw the door opening and excitedly turned to tell him about this one scene when your voice died down in your throat at the sight of him
here was iwaizumi hajime, ultra muscle buff man who gets abs with a simple glance of the gym, wearing an all too-tight pink, cherry blossom print robe that was so tight the tie around it was shaking to keep it together
‘dont’
he whispered and that snapped your remaining surprise to double over in laughter
‘its so cute! iwa-san, youre so cute!’
you shrieked and he growled and hurriedly went to to grab grey sweatpants and a shirt before running straight back to the bathroom
when he finally came back out, his face was still red and he was pouting as he sat next to you back to his seat
he could feel you staring at him while looking constipated as you held your laugh in and the second your eyes met, your giggles fell out
iwa rolled his eyes
‘yes yes let it out’
‘hehe, iwa-san, i didnt know you had that style’
‘it isnt! i didnt want to walk in here practically naked with you in the room!’
he growled and you nodded, still not quite believing it
‘hai hai. just say you like pink, i wont tell’
you waved and iwa felt offended
‘what do you mean ‘hai hai’?! its really not!’
your lips pursed to keep more giggles in and iwa growled again before lunging to grab your sides and tickling you
of course being careful to not touch your wounds
you shrieked at the ticklish feeling and iwa laughed as you made weak attempts to push him off
‘huh? what was that? whatd you say? cant talk anymore, can ya?’
he teased
‘NO!!!! IWA-SAAAAN!!!!!’
you shouted in between your laughter and he finally let up when you squealed out your apologies and promised to never say it again
you breathed air into your lungs and sat back up to recollect yourselves
iwa saw the strands that escaped your bun and they were scattered everywhere looking messy with your flushed cheeks and teary eyes
oh my god you were beautiful
he was so happy that you still kept that smile despite what happened and he was going to fight to keep it there
forever
it was about nearly the end when you finally realized how different iwaizumi’s hair looked
‘oi, iwa-san, your hair is not naturally spiky?’
he continued eating the chips while still watching the movie
‘what would you expect? even shittykawa’s hair is like this. did ya know that he wakes up extra early to curl it into that shitty mess?’
your jaw dropped
‘EEEHHHH???!!!!!!!’
later, you asked him how he does his hair for school and he blindly reached for the gel that was resting on his desk before tossing it to you
‘here’
you looked at it and flickered over to his hair and then you had the greatest realization
‘GODZILLA-SAMA!’
you pointed and he stopped eating, turning to give you a confused look
‘ha?’
you shrieked in an another round of laughter
‘IWA-SAN LIKES GODZILLA-SAMA SO MUCH HE DOES HIS HAIR AFTER HIM!!!!’
you doubled over to the floor, clutching your stomach and iwaizumi’s flustered expression made you laugh harder
he knew you were smart but,,, not this smart
you figured out his secret
the secret he’s hidden since he was practically a toddler
even his best friend, the guy hes known since he was born, never made the connection
yet here you are, figuring it out not even a year of knowing him
was this part of the many reasons he,, felt his heart beat for you?
oikawa was relieved that you had the bright twinkle in your eyes the next time he saw you and you were actively talking to iwaizumi in that early morning practice
‘oh? y/n-chan, is iwa-chan your best friend now?’
he tried not to sound jealous for his own best friend’s closeness to you and he added a teasing smile for extra measure
okay that hurted me a bit
iwaizumi snarled and blasted the volleyball towards his face before he could even yell or shout
‘iwa-san, dont do that’
you chided softly, small hands wrapping around his muscly arm
but iwa patted your head
‘deserving people deserve things to happen to them’
you rolled your eyes but smiled at him
‘hai hai’
the next week, iwa still kept a close eye on you in case someone else decided to mess with you
but you told him that you swear youd tell him if someone did and he trusts you so he backed off a little
one day, he was eating lunch with the other third years in their classroom when you busted through the door, excitedly holding your phone
‘iwa-san! i figured out what country your flag was!’
he was halfway of shoving rice in his mouth when iwa looked at you
‘oh? you couldve just asked me though?’
you pouted and went to pull a chair from another desk to sit beside him
‘nooo. i wanted to work for that information. so you’re from the philippines, iwa-san?’
he nodded proudly
‘yep’
your eyes shone with interest
‘really?! you look japanese so it must be one of your parents. hey, iwa-san, which island are you from? i read about them and they have like 7641 islands-’
the others watched as you read through the article in your phone and iwa wasnt even following your words, instead staring at you with a dazed look and a lovesick smile
mattsun, makki, and oikawa exchanged looks of surprise because in all the years theyve known him especially oikawa, iwa was never interested in girls and such
he was a straight forward man with goals and straight sight to get them done with no distractions like relationships or love
yet here he was
slowly falling in love with you without even knowing he is
he continued to fall with the simplest things about you
from the perfume that you wore everyday to the way you would tuck your hair behind your ear when you were talking to someone
little quirks he used to miss was now being noticed even if you were right behind him and not in his line of vision
now, the boys were starting to see the difference of their precious ace
it was as if when he started to like you, they knew immediately by how he was acting
then one day during practice, you were late and they were all looking around for you and when they couldnt find you, they met back in the gym with nervous looks
iwa was already pacing around, a scary aura radiating off of him, and kindaichi, who went with him to look around the school, warned the others of iwaizumi’s worry
‘he was slamming doors open and he was walking so fast i had to run to even keep up with him’
then you busted through the gym door
you were actually picking up food for the team and sweets and you were held up when makki’s puffs were still being cooked
they rallied around you to make sure you werent hurt and you assured them but iwa pulled them away like picked them up and threw them off to the side and took you in his arms
iwa thought you were hurt and he was so worried something happened to you again
the hug was bone-crushing with how hard he was squeezing you but you felt his worry though and you freed your arms to wrap them around his neck
‘im okay, iwa-san’
you whispered in his ear and he nodded
‘let me hold you for a second’
he mumbled and you nodded
‘oi, theres food in the bags so make sure you eat it all. coach paid for it all so dont leave behind anything’
the mention of the food distracted them from you and iwa and they piled on top of each other to reach their food first
iwa was grateful that you distracted the others from seeing him being vulnerable towards you
‘i thought-’
‘shh,,, you have me right here, right now. safe and sound’
you knew how much seeing you all battered messed him up and his attempt of making you forget about it has been
and his worry of you being gone without no sign of where you went will forever be there and he will always have that thought in the back ofhis mind
the next time you came over, you actually met his parents
since you went home early before, you didnt catch his parents when they came home around 10 minutes after you left
but this time, they were already home with his mom cooking dinner while his father was sitting on the dining chair reading a newspaper
iwa walked through the door, shouting he was home, and you did the same thing to be customary
oof his parents were surprised
his mom turned around to share a look of surprise with her husband
sure they havent seen tooru in a while but they were pretty sure his voice wasnt that high pitched
right?
‘hajime, did you hit tooru so much you ruined his-’
then his mother stopped talking at the sight of you holding iwa’s hand tightly when yall stepped around the corner
you sheepishly smiled at them and bowed your head in greeting
oh my
so this was why iwaizumi hajime-san was really really really handsome
his parents were freaking good looking
like his mother was aphrodite with her flawless melanin skin and doe shaped eyes with a mole under her left eye
and his father was like ares, so handsome yet still manly and his appearance was a special type of good-looking with his buffness and ruffed appearance
‘iwa-san, i didnt know your parents were gods’
you mumbled, still staring at them
iwaizumi choked and coughed, flustered
‘oh my!’
his mother placed a hand over her mouth
‘hello’
his father stood up to walk in front of you and held his hand out
‘i’m hajime’s father’
you let go of hajime’s hand to shake his own with both of your hands
‘really nice to meet you! i’m l/n y/n! seijoh volleyball manager! first year!’
you introduced then stepped aside to fully bow 90 degrees
iwaizumi thought it was so cute of how flustered you were at meeting his parents
‘ay nako! nak, i didnt know you had such a beautiful girlfriend!’
she squealed and hurriedly went to stand in front of you and gently grasped your arms to stand you back straight and took a good look at you
‘youre so beautiful, iha. nice skin, pretty eyes, ang ganda!’
even with your research of tagalog, you didnt quite understand what she was saying
iwa noticed your slightly confused expression and he laughed, tucking his hands in his pockets
‘sorry, my nay speaks in taganese when she gets excited’
‘t-taganese?’
‘tagalog and japanese’
you nodded in understanding
it was time to put your basic reserach to test
‘hello po’
you greeted her and nervously took her hand and pressed the back of it to your forehead before slowly lowering it down and letting go
her wide eyes made you think you did something bad or even offensive!
‘i-i’
‘HAY NAKO, HAJIMEE~!’
she shrieked
‘YUNG-!!! YUNG-!!!’
okay im terrified
iwa noticed his mother’s malfunction and gently wrapped his arm around her shoulder and veered her back to her kitchen
‘sorry about her, l/n-chan. its just,,,, hajime hasnt brought home a girl before. and you doing that mustve done it in for her’
you worriedly watched hajime calm his mom down with a smile and talking to her hushed
in their perspective,,,
‘shes so nice, nak! marry her, okay? shes very pretty and she made an effort to please your nanay, so go and marry her!’
ohmylord im nervous
initially, iwa only wanted to go and hang out with you and watch a movie
not have a full dinner with his family
lmao i shouldve told you that youve been friends for months now
his mother cooked sinigang and adobo and more filipino dishes, adding even more when she saw you were joining them
the dining table was covered with a large plate full of food and you were so fascinated because this was a side of iwa that you wanted to know more about
‘wow!’
you said, not thinking, at the deep-fried fish that still had its eyeballs intact
iwa genuinely thought you would’ve shyed away from it in disgust but your eyes were glistening with genuine interest
‘iwa-san! youre so lucky you get to eat this stuff!’
you told him, looking over at his direction
while mrs iwaizumi was lading in the soup into the big bowl, mr iwaizumi was sitting at the dining table, watching your interaction and hajime telling you what each food was and your noises of surprise
he watched his son laugh when you said the palabok reminded you of the orange boy hinata
and he also watched his son look at you so lovestruck and exactly like how he looks at his wife
soon, his mother finished and they rounded the table before saying a quick prayer to bless the food and digging in
‘so, what do you want to start with, iha?’
mrs iwaizumi asked and your wide eyes looked around
‘hm, im not sure. whats your favorite iwa-san?’
you looked to your right towards hajime who was busy eating and stopped before pointing his lips towards a direction
‘that one’
‘hah?’
you asked
mrs iwaizumi laughed at her son’s actions
‘sorry, l/n-chan, my son has adapted my traits. he was pointing to this, adobo. do you want some?’
‘yes please’
the smell made your mouth water and you started to tuck in
maybe it was your managerial instincts, but you used your napkin to wipe hajime’s lips and he was also used to this and turned his head to make it easier for you then he went to grab the water jug and re-fill your glass
once it was done, you both silently went back to eating
his parents watched his exchange and it was like watching a married couple taking care of each other
‘so, l/n-chan, you said you were their manager’
mr iwaizumi started and you nodded, wiping your lips
‘yes. i have been for a while now and please, call me y/n’
‘hajime actually told us he had a new manager for his team and tooru told us too. but we didnt know you were a girl. its just so interesting for hajime to bring you home as he has never really had any female friends’
mrs iwaizumi’s comment made you chuckle and iwa’s eyes widened in embarassment
‘nay! of course ive had female friends! ive had friends from all genders!’
he reasoned but you teasingly smiled at him
‘ah, im not really surprised. iwa-san doesnt exactly have the appearance that girls are brave enough to approach’
he sent you a betrayed glance
‘hah?! what’s that supposed to mean?!’
you shrugged, going back to your food
‘im just saying that you always have this intense look in your eyes and youre always frowning. but its cute so its fine. and besides, i dont think theyve seen you laugh since you dont really smile a lot, iwa-san’
‘but you’ve seen me smile!’
‘eung. but its only to me. if they knew the stuff i knew like you being a godzilla fan or your collection of succelents, theyd see you like oikawa-san’
‘HAH?! YOU SEE ME LIKE SHITTYKAWA?!’
mrs iwaizumi held her husband’s hand on the table as they watched you both bicker and tease each other with a smile
hajime has always been on the rougher side of things and he doesnt really have many close friends other than the team and even then, tooru is the only one he can really be himself around
yet here you are, bringing out the boy hajime really is and making him laugh, a sound his parents dont really hear outside the house
and your eyes
god, your eyes held admiration, life,,,, and you might not know this yet,, but love
her eyes trailed her son who teasingly headbutted you and you faking a surprise and doing the same
then you heard his father’s cough which brought you back to where you were and the situation and the people that were there
you felt embarrassment creeping up inside you and you bowed
‘im sorry for acting like that, iwaizumi-san. i-’
‘no, dont apologize, darling. please, dont’
her soft smile made the nerves in you ease and hajime’s father winked at him and he knew exactly what his father was trying to say
after dinner, you volunteered to wash the plates but they veered you away from there and towards the living room
‘oh my god, pops! stop her!’
hajime whined because he knows what his mother was going to do
she was going to show him his baby pictures
you sat on the beige couch and watched as she reached under the coffee table and revealed a few albums that had iwaizumi hajime written on the cover
‘now, y/n-chan, hajime wasnt always this pouty. in fact, he used to always have a smile on his face and laughed at the littlest things! like right here! a leaf fell on him and he-’
stories of his childhood was exchanged throughout the night and you were laughing so hard that tears were falling out of your eyes while hajime wrapped your shoulders with his arm and he would squeeze you tightly whenever you made fun of him
‘oh dear! iwa-san! you-!’
you didnt finished as you continued to laugh and he sighed
‘nay, can we go eat dessert now?’
he asked his mother and she was beginning to feel sorry for him so she smiled and nodded
‘okay. hajime, come help me’
‘iwaizumi-san, i can-’
‘no, y/n-chan. dont you worry your pretty little head about anything and just look through more of these pictures’
hajime followed his mother to their kitchen before she stopped and turned around
his mother’s height was around 5′1 so she had to look up to meet his eyes and her hands were clasped around his biceps
she is definitely beautiful and he cursed at how little he got from his mother other than her skin color
mrs iwaizumi married her husband and immigrated to japan to have a family and your polite action from earlier moved her as she hasnt experienced that in nearly 2 decades
‘nay, shes,,,, just a friend’
he reasoned, a wobbly smile to cover up his want for that title to change
yet mothers def knows best and saw right through it
she gave him a firm look with furrowed eyebrows and pursed lips
‘nak, dont lie to yourself. i raised you to never tell a lie and lying to yourself is considered lying to someone. she’s not your KAibigan, shes your kaIBIGan’
now, hajime knew a little bit of tagalog as his mother made sure he was able to at least speak to his relatives back home
so he got a hint of what she was saying yet was confused
then he realized it
his blush creeped up his neck and he chuckled, ducking his head low to avoid his mother’s eyes
‘nak, listen to me. papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ako. youre still growing and you may be confused right now, but make sure to think wisely and dont live with regrets. nanay doesnt want you to go through it all by yourself since she knows how hard it was. so please, listen to me and pursue her. shes special, hajime. she makes you so, so happy. i see it in your eyes, her eyes, god has fated you together. i feel it’
now if a filipino mother actually tells their son to go after a girl, thats a pretty big thing as its known that mothers are the hardest to convince and are fiercely protective of their sons, especially if its an only son, but mrs iwaizumi literally tells hajime to go court you because she sees how happy you make him and is willing to let hajime go to you
definitely his mother’s words stuck to him and as he walked you home, he was busy thinking that he was quiet and you were worried as he would be talking right now
‘iwa-san? you okay?’
you asked and he blinked, taken back to reality from his daydream
‘hm, yea’
he answered to look at you
hes been pining for months now and he slipped his hand into yours, holding it tightly
uwu if you want to see iwa moments with y/n, read through the seijoh manager series as theres a lot of them in there
he wanted you yet, he knew it would be selfish of him to keep you in the future
he would be a college student while you’re in your 2nd year
would you want to be so far away from him?
could you handle it?
‘yanno, iwa-san, your dad told me something interesting’
you suddenly said, squeezing his hand and kicking rocks while looking up at the night sky
‘what was it? something embarrassing?’
he immediately feared that they told you that story when he was still potty training and he fell straight into the toilet
‘hmm,,, no. he told me that he met your nanay when she was a high school student and he was a in an intern at your lolo’s company’
iwa listened and he had a smile at how you said the tagalog word for grandfather
‘he said she almost ran him over by her bike and she fled but they met again when she visited your lolo. through that, they became friends and then she confessed to him. apparently, he declined because she was younger than him, although just 3 years, and he was leaving for his own country in a few months so he didnt know if she would wait for him’
were,,,, you reading his mind?
iwa knew of his parents story yet with you telling it, it sounded a million times more interesting
‘yet she promised him. thats it, just a promise. that she would remain faithful to him, she would keep herself for him and when she finally graduates, she would go and find him and they could be happy together. he said it was the longest 3 years of his life yet when he saw in the airport, he felt like the wait was worth it. because he gets to hold the embodiment of happiness in his arms for the rest of his life’
you finished and he hummed
‘times have changed, y/n’
‘even you?’
you stopped walking and he naturally stopped too
‘would you wait for me like he did if i promised myself to you? if i promised you that despite the few years of waiting, i would still be yours and remain yours until we’re ready to be together?’
WHAT IS HAPPENING!!!!!!!
iwa’s heart was drumming in his chest and he wanted so desparately to look at you in the eyes but you were making that impossible as your head was bowed and your eyes were fixed on the concrete you both stood on
‘of course, i would’
your head snapped up and e/c clashed with olive eyes
‘i would wait for you. we may,,, be young right now. and they might think we’re,,, being impulsive. but i dont care. because right now, all that matters, is you and me. we can think about the consequences later, but right now, i just want to kiss you’
he admitted, red ears seen by the moonlight
your body shook
‘do it, no balls’
well,,,, he has the balls
and under the moon, at 8:34 pm, iwaizumi hajime kissed you
OML THIS REMINDS ME OF THAT SEIJOH SHORT WHEN HE WAS TALKING TO OIKAWA AND HIS NEIGHBORS ARE LIKE ‘AH SHITE HERE WE GO AGAIN’
it didnt come as a surprise to the team when yall announced your relationship
well,, you both actually didnt tell them outright until like weeks later
what can you say?
you and iwa are very private people and you dont really like to show off in public
even though yall lit rally are stuck to the hip and he does things that he doesnt even think hes doing but he is totally doing
you were only caught by,,, guess who
mrs iwaizumi
it was weeks when she met up with mrs oikawa bc theyre totally best friends and thats why their sons are best friends
she told her of her son’s girlfriend and how sweet you were and how mrs oikawa should be jealous that her son doesnt have a girlfriend like that and the standards for oikawa’s future girlfriend was raised just by that teasing
oikawa literally came into after school practice after a phone call with his mother, fuming
you were talking to kindaichi and yahaba with iwa beside you, arm around your waist totally not obvious guys
and yall just saw an angry oikawa stomping towards yall
‘y/n-chan, iwa-chan, why the hell did my mom just call me and tell me that im not allowed to bring home a girl if she doesnt have h/c with s/c (skin color) and e/c and h/m (height measurement)?’
you shrugged
‘oikawa-san, i’ve never even met your mom before’
but iwa had a hunch
‘ahh,,,, my mom mustve been bragging to your mom. yanno how they are’
oikawa shot him a disbelieving look
‘IWA-CHAN! ITS BAD ENOUGH THAT YOU GOT A GIRLFRIEND AND I DONT! BUT ITS WORSE THAT YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS AFFECTING MY FUTURE ONE!’
he ranted, completely unaware that he just outed your entire relationship to the team
tbh they werent even surprised
like they were all ‘damn now shes taken. but cant say i didnt see that coming’
they took it pretty well too
they know how iwa is and they literally respect this mans and if anything, out of the whole team, he is the best candidate for your boyfriend
dating iwa is totally normal and yall just have increased touches?? like i dont know how to explain like he’s constantly holding your hand or arm around your waist or shoulder etc
literally nothing changed
you still have dinners at his house and iwa also knows your family and all that
and the most important thing is,
he kept that promise
even when he was literally at the other side of the world,
he still remained yours and you kept your own promise and waited patiently for his return
OOOOO TIMESKIP IWAIZUMI HAJIME (27) ATHLETE TRAINER
a little girl with bouncing dark brown hair was giggling as she maneuvered herself around the tall people
a shout from her parents and little sister was only making her run faster until she crashed into the legs of the person she’s been looking for
his blue jersey was similar to hers and she raised her arms up with a bright smile
‘uncle!’
she yelled and he chuckled before hoisting her up to his arms
‘ah, reyna-chan, didnt mom and dad tell you to wait for them? look! tala-chan is crying because you left her’
she followed his finger to her little sister, who was in her father’s arms, crying and reaching out for her
‘nee-chan!’
she screeched
finally, her parents were there and you were scolding her for running off
‘reyna, just dont do that again’
you said and she nodded, pouting and holding her uncle’s thumb
‘thank you, tooru-san. i dont know what i would do if she got lost’
oikawa grinned then gently patted the hat-covered head of the newborn baby girl that was strapped to your chest
‘hehe, its okay, y/n-chan. after all! uncle is always there to save reyna-chan!’
she shrieked when he held her up and hajime shook his head in his antics
‘where’s the others? i saw them in the stands but-’
he was cut off when he heard the shouts and yells from the other side that could only belong to your boys
‘woooo!!!!’
kindaichi’s voice echoed through the place and mattsuhana were rushing to greet their goddaughters
tala shyly accepted the arms of mattsun while makki was squealing quietly when darna was holding his finger tightly as she slept
‘taka-san, wanna hold her? she’s easier to hold when she’s sleeping’
‘oh can i?’
his eyes held the stars as the 11-month-old raised her fist then lowered it back down, sleep still heavy on her
‘waaa~ darna-chan is growing really quickly’
kunimi whispered, peering over his senpai to look at the baby whos eyes kept fluttering
you chuckled while looking at oikawa and him playfully bouncing reyna
‘tooru-san, congratulations on your win. it seems you’ve beaten hajime this time’
you complimented and the brunette smiled brightly at you, adjusting the little girls in his arms
‘ei, y/n-chan, i’ll beat him next time, and next time and the next time!’
every time he said ‘next’ he gave his goddaughter a kiss on her cheek making her giggle
your husband was pouting at the reminder of japan’s loss and you reached over to wrap your arms around him causing hajime to turn his head away from you
‘aww, my 4th baby is sad now’
you cooed and cupped his face delicately on your hands making him sulk and whine
the others, watching the scene, continue to be surprised at this side of their captain that remains to only be caused by you
‘ugh, nearly a decade later and theyre still sappy’
yahaba gagged and watari slapped his back
‘let them be happy’
‘come on! im in the mood for spaghetti! you like spaghetti, tala-chan?’
‘eung!’
mattsun cheered with kindaichi and she raised her hands to share the same energy
once everyone was situated in a restaurant and ordered, small talks were shared around the table of the past
‘haha, spaghetti is how your baba found out about you, tala-chan’
yahaba’s comment made the walking group laugh at the memory of seeing the video you sent in the seijoh group chat
‘i wanted to be creative with my second child since my firstborn was revealed by this loudmouth’
oikawa winced at the indirect diss at him
‘y/n-chan! i was really excited to find out i was going to be an uncle!’
‘youre already an uncle, bakakawa!’
hajime has toned down the insults to keep it pg for the children
‘but-!’
they started to argue, the oldest daughter looking disinterested as she sees this happening or hearing it whenever her dad and uncle video chat
‘it took me forever to find a ‘prego’ pasta sauce in the grocery store like i dont know why. was there a shortage?’
you complained, remembering the frustration
your fellow first years snickered at you and kindaichi prodded fun at you
‘is that why you just outright told him you were pregnant the day you found out?’
you rolled your eyes and watched makki and mattsun and tala watch the youngest as she wiggled her fists in the air and was awake enough to babble ‘makki’ over and over again
that was her first word and although she is now able to say a few words, she still repeats her first word over and over again
‘we had a fight and it just came out so of course i didnt have time to prepare!’
you defended and hajime finished his antics with oikawa just as you said that
‘what-what was your words again? ‘i really want to push you off the roof right now but i want my baby to meet their bastard father first?’‘
you gasped at that regretful statement and punched him in the arm
‘hajime! stop!’
you whined and covered your face with the sleeves of your his hoodie
‘hehe, y/n, you should do that again’
kyotani teased and you glared at him
‘shut up kyotani’
eyebrows were raised
‘eh? are you more hormonal?’
‘do you realize you already have 3 daughters?’
‘iwaizumi-san really wants to have a volleyball team family’
‘at least wait a year and a half, you animals’
‘so,, like hes that good huh?’
hajime growled and leaned over to intimidate but you snarled and jumped on your feet, being held back by the arms by kindaichi and hajime to stop yourself from leaping across the table to kill yahaba
‘keep talking like shite and i’ll make sure none of you become the godfather of this baby’
okay what
one, did you just curse
and two, this baby?!
‘im big sister again?!’
reyna ruined the surprised silence and then chaos ensued
‘WHAT!’
‘BABY?!’
‘THIS BABY?!’
you just realized what you said and smirked at the chaos you created and sat back down, leaning on the back of the chair and smugly taking a sip of your water
‘oh the power i hold in my hands’
you teased and oikawa pointed at you
‘when! how long!’
you looked at hajime who was so shocked that his eyes glazed over and a passerby wouldve thought he was dead
‘apparently 3 months’
oikawa started counting and his eyes widened at that thought
‘you-! you stayed in argentina! in my house! my house-!’
‘yep. both of them created under your house’
what
!!!!!
hajime fainted
oikawa screamed
a/n: okay i admit i got a little too carried away with this one. i just love filo!iwa and this was mostly written in his pov bc cmon we all know we love iwa and fell in love w him the moment we saw him

The Littlest Timelord: The Fall of the Eleventh Chapter 17
TITLE: The Littlest Timelord: The Fall of the Eleventh Chapter 17 PAIRING: No Pairing RATING: T CHAPTER: 17/? SUMMARY: Elise Smith is now a teenaged Timelord. In addition to losing the Ponds, the fields of Trenzalore are calling. But first they have to figure out exactly who Clara Oswald is.
[A/N - We’ve reached the end of the Ponds. Next up, is the Snowmen episode (which I am stoked to write). Big reveal in this chapter!]
Amy joined them outside. “Okay, why did you lie?” she asked.
“Never let him see the damage,” River told her.
Never let him see the damage.
Amy walked over to her and put her arm around her daughter’s shoulder, while Elise wrapped her arm around River’s. They made quiet the group. All three generations of one family. Daughter, mother, and grandmother.
River turned to look at Amy. “And never, ever let him see you age. He doesn't like endings.”
The Doctor came running outside. “Got it. He's at a place called Winter Quay. The car, yes? Let's go.”
The four of them got into the car. They pulled up to the apartment building.
“Why would they send him here? Why not zap him back in time, like they normally do?” River asked.
“We'll know that when we know what this place is,” the Doctor said.
They got out and looked up at the building.
“Winter Quay,” Amy pointed out.
They all ran inside and got inside the lift, except Elise.
“Elise, come on. We do not have time for this!” the Doctor yelled.
River put her hand out and Elise took it, stepping inside.
They rode up to the eighth floor and got out.
“Rory?” Amy asked.
“He's close,” River told her.
“Rory!”
They came to a door that was open.
“Rory!” Amy ran to him and hugged him.
“Amy.”
River stopped walking.
There was an angel at the end of the corridor.
“Doctor, look at this. Why is it smiling?”
The Doctor looked over and saw “R. Williams” on a nameplate next to the door. “Amy. Rory!” the Doctor yelled, stepping into the apartment. He pulled River and Elise with him. “Get out of here! Don't look at anything. Don't touch…”
“Who's that?” Amy asked, spotting someone lying in the bed.
It was an old man. He reached out towards them. “Amy. Amy, please.”
Amy approached him and took his hand in hers.
“Amy, please. Please.”
“Rory?” Amy turned to look at the Rory standing with the Doctor, Elise, and River. “He's you.”
The last word the old Rory said was Amy’s name.
“Will someone please tell me what is going on?” Rory asked.
The Doctor turned to Rory. “I'm sorry, Rory, but you just died.”
“Doctor, just tell us what’s going on,” Amy said.
“This place is policed by Angels. Every time you try to escape, you get zapped back in time.”
“So this place belongs to the Angels? They built it?”
“Displacing someone back in time creates time energy, and that is what the Angels feed on. But normally, it's a one off, a hit and run. If they could keep hold of their victims, feed off their time energy over and over again. This place is a farm. A battery farm. How many Angels in New York?”
“It's like they've taken over every statue in the city,” River said.
“The Angels take Manhattan because they can, because they've never had a food source like this one. The city that never sleeps.”
Heavy footsteps could be heard coming towards them outside.
“What was that?” Rory asked.
“I don't know. But I think they're coming for you.”
“What does that mean? What is going to happen to me? What is physically going to happen?”
The Doctor sat down in a chair. “The Angels will come for you. They'll zap you back in time to this very spot, thirty, forty years ago. And you'll live out the rest of your life in this room, until you die in that bed.”
“And will Amy be there?”
“No.”
“How do you know?” Amy asked.
“Because he was so pleased to see you again.”
“Okay. Well, they haven't taken me yet. What if I just run?” Rory asked, “What if I just get the hell out of here? Then that never happens.”
“It's already happened. Rory, you've just witnessed your own future.”
“Doctor, he's right,” River said.
“No, he isn't.”
“If Rory got out, it would create a paradox.”
The heavy footsteps were getting closer.
“What is that?” Amy asked.
The Doctor and River ignored her question.
“This is the Angels' food source. The paradox poisons the well. It could kill them all. This whole place would literally un-happen,” River told him.
“It would be almost impossible,” the Doctor said.
River crossed her arms over her chest and smiled. “Loving the almost.”
The Doctor stood up. “But to create a paradox like that takes almost unimaginable power. What have we got, eh? Tell me. Come on, what?”
Amy walked over to Rory and took her hand in his. “I won't let them take him. That's what we've got.”
The footsteps were even closer now, almost right outside the window.
“Whatever that thing is, it's getting closer,” Rory told them.
“Rory, even if you got out, you'd have to keep running for the rest of your life. They would be chasing you forever.”
“Well, then. Better get started,” Amy said. She opened the door and there stood an angel. “Husband, run!”
Amy and Rory ran out the door and past the angel. The Doctor smirked with pride at his companions.
The lights flickered and the angels were closer.
“River, I'm not sure this can work,” the Doctor said.
“Husband, shut up.”
They rushed for the door as the lights flickered again. An angel blocked the doorway. The lights flickered again and they were trapped in the room.
Elise whimpered.
River grabbed her hand. “It’s okay, sweetie. Just keep calm.”
The Doctor soniced the lightbulb to keep it on.
They were surrounded on all sides by angels.
“We can't keep doing this,” the Doctor said.
“Any ideas?” River asked.
“Yeah, the usual. Run!”
They bolted from the room and found angels on the stairs.
“Okay! Fire escape.”
They managed to find a fire escape and ran up to the roof, where they found Amy and Rory standing on the ledge.
“What the hell are you doing!” the Doctor yelled.
“Changing the future. It's called marriage,” Amy said.
The two of them fell off the ledge.
“Amy!”
“Rory!”
Elise, River, and the Doctor ran over and looked over the side of the ledge.
Balls of energy started to flicker around the roof.
“Doctor! What's happening?” River asked.
The Doctor turned around and grabbed both River and Elise’s hands. “The paradox. It's working! The paradox is working!”
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
They appeared in a graveyard.
“Where are we?” Rory asked as he and Amy sat up.
“Back where we started. You collapsed the timeline. The paradox worked. We all pinged back where we belong,” the Doctor told them.
“What, in a graveyard?”
“This happened the last time. Why always here?” Amy asked.
“Does it matter? We got lucky. We could've blown New York off the planet. I can't ever take the TARDIS back there. The timelines are too scrambled.” The Doctor sighed. “I could have lost you both.” He hugged them. “Don't ever do that again.”
“What did we do? We fixed it. We solved the problem,” Rory said.
“I was talking to myself.” He kissed both of them on the forehead.
River and the Doctor examined the damage on the TARDIS.
“It could do with a repaint,” River told him.
“I've been busy,” the Doctor said.
“Does the bulb on top need changing?”
“I just changed it.”
“So. Rory and Amy, then.”
“Yes. I know, I know.”
“I'm just saying. They're going to get terribly bored hanging round here all day.”
Elise smiled seeing them bicker. Everything was back to normal.
“Doctor,” Rory called, walking up with Amy, “Look, next time, could we could just go to the pub?”
“I want go to the pub right now,” the Doctor agreed, “Are there video games there? I love video games.”
“Right. Family outing, then,” River said.
He went inside to find some coordinates, while River went inside to get changed into something more suitable.
Elise gave Amy and Rory one last glance before going inside.
“It’s a shame. I really loved old New York. I went there once a long time ago,” the Doctor said.
Amy started to come inside when Rory called her name. “Doctor!” Amy yelled.
Elise, the Doctor, and River came running out of the TARDIS.
There was an angel standing next to a gravestone and Amy was staring at it.
“Where the hell did that come from?” River asked.
“It's a survivor. Very weak, but keep your eyes on it,” the Doctor said.
“Where’s Rory?” Amy asked.
The Doctor approached the gravestone and saw Rory’s name.
“I'm sorry. Amelia, I'm so, so sorry.”
“No. No, we can just go and get him in the TARDIS. One more paradox.”
“It would rip New York apart.”
“No, that's not true. I don't believe you.”
“Mother, it's true,” River told her.
Amy approached the angel.
Elise started to move, but the Doctor turned around.
“Do not move, Elise. Do you hear me? You don’t take one more step.”
Elise flinched at his hard tone, but did as he said.
He turned back to Amy. “Amy, what are you doing?”
“That gravestone, Rory's, there's room for one more name, isn't there?”
“What are you talking about? Back away from the Angel.” He grabbed Amy’s wrist, but she pulled away from him. “Come back to the TARDIS. We'll figure something out.”
“The Angel, would it send me back to the same time? To him?”
“I don't know. Nobody knows.”
“But it's my best shot, yeah?”
“No!”
“Doctor, shut up,” River snapped, “Yes. Yes, it is.”
“Amy…” the Doctor begged.
“Well, then. I just have to blink, right?”
“No!”
“It'll be fine. I know it will. I'll be with him, like I should be. Me and Rory together. Melody?”
“Stop it. Just, just stop it!”
River walked to Amy and grabbed her hand. She kissed the back of it.
“You look after him. You be a good girl, and you look after him and Elise,” Amy told her.
“You are creating fixed time. I will never be able to see you again,” the Doctor said.
“I'll be fine. I'll be with him.”
“Amy, please, just come back into the TARDIS. Come along, Pond, please.”
“Raggedy man, goodbye!” Amy spun around and disappeared. Amy’s name appeared on the gravestone.
“No!” the Doctor cried.
River walked over to the Doctor and rubbed his back, trying to comfort him. When she turned back, she saw Elise still standing next to the TARDIS, but she wasn’t crying.
Never let him see the damage.
She was standing there stoically.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
River flew the TARDIS while the Doctor sat on the stairs.
Elise sat on the opposite staircase, for once not taking comfort in him.
“River, they were your parents. I'm sorry, I didn't even think,” the Doctor told her.
“It doesn't matter.”
“Of course it matters.”
“What matters is this. Doctor, don't travel alone.”
He wasn’t truly alone with Elise, but River could see the change in her. She’d never go back to the girl she once was. Not after this.
“Travel with me, then.” The Doctor knew Elise would need River to fall back on.
“Whenever and wherever you want.”
The Doctor smiled.
“But not all the time. One psychopath per TARDIS, don't you think? Okay. This book I've got to write. Melody Malone. I presume I send it to Amy to get it published?”
“Yes. Yes.”
“I'll tell her to write an afterword.” She walked past him on the stairs. “For you. Maybe you'll listen to her.” She disappeared down the corridor.
“The last page!” The Doctor ran to the console, throwing levers and hitting buttons.
The TARDIS landed and he ran out the door, leaving Elise in the control room alone with her thoughts.
When he returned, he was holding the last page of the book. “You told me this would happen…” he said.
“What?”
“You…”
Elise stood up and walked over to him. “Okay, you’re starting to scare me now. What are you talking about?”
“I…I can’t tell you.”
Elise crossed her arms over her chest. “No. You can’t just say something like that and then take it back. What do you mean I told you?”
“Spoilers.”
“No. Tell me.”
“I can’t!”
“Okay, so some time in the future I tell you about losing Amy and Rory…”
The Doctor sighed and ran a hand through his hair. “Not my future. Your future. And you didn’t mention them by name. In fact, you wouldn’t tell me anything.”
“When?”
“Spoilers.”
That word was starting to get on her nerves.
“Ellie, I can’t tell you because I don’t know when it happens for you.” The Doctor walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder, which she shrugged off. “You’ve seen what can happen when you know the future. The timeline has to be upheld. I’m sorry. You’ll understand when you’re older.”
Elise rolled her eyes and stormed out of the control room.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The next day, Elise came into the control room.
The orange and bright interior was gone, exchanged for a cold metal interior bathed in blue and purple light.
She had so many good memories in that control room. Did he change it? Or did the TARDIS change it?
“What do you think?” her father asked her.
“I don’t like it.” The Doctor rolled his eyes.
“Well, where are we?” Elise asked.
The Doctor gestured to the doors.
Elise walked over to them. She threw them open, expecting see the vast expanse of space but instead saw fog.
“Well, go on,” he told her.
Elise stepped out and found it was solid. She walked over to the edge, seeing building she didn’t recognize.
The Doctor joined her. “Elise, welcome to Victorian England.”
Elise looked at him confused. “No trip?”
The Doctor’s face hardened. “No more trips.”
“Ever?”
“No.”
“But…”
“No.” The Doctor stormed back into the TARDIS, the doors slamming shut behind him.
Elise glanced over the side, before turning back and going back inside.

Prompt Response: Upstart/Exodus Scenario
(apologies for the troll quirks 😔) “yo,” Virave, the Knight, said, lying sideways across their chair. “there’-S a lil -Situation -Stirrin up” “Yes, I Gathered bY the fact You’d called us all into the Situation Room,” Evelit, known to the mortals as the Mage, said with a raise of her eyebrow. “be nIce!!” Lilith, the Sylph, admonished, before turning back to her moirail. “what’s the matter??” “okey doke, here’s the thing,” the Knight said. With a flick of their hands, a small figure appeared on the table, bearing a smug smile and a toga. Lilith leaned in to inspect the figure. “Caesar?” “no i think that is the chicken man,” Summer, aka the Rogue of Void, said solemnly. “Don’t be ridiculous,” the Mage admonished. “{summer has a p(o)int. he greatly resembles the chicken man,}” Wisria, the Heir of Space, said. “I don’t know who that is,” Evelit mumbled. “haha!! smartie Doesnt know something!!” Summer crowed. “Fuck off.” “can we get back on track?” the Knight demanded. There was silence. “thank-S. thi-S guy claim-S he’-S a ‘better’ god, the ‘true’ one.” They tapped a claw on the table, narrowly missing the little figure. “-So far a-S i can tell, he’-S a de-Scendant of one of u-S who got hopped up on power and ha-S a literal god complex. needle-S-S to -Say, i want thi-S twink obliterated. who want-S to go put the fear of the god-S in hi-S heart with me?” The Rogue, the Sylph, and the Witch (also known as Elmara) immediately raised their hands. “{i d(o)n’t like c(o)nfr(o)ntati(o)n, but if y(o)u need a s(o)lar eclipse, text me,}” the Counter of Stars said with a small smile. Evelit sighed. “This could Go a lot of waYs. If I See You start makinG bad choices, I’ll alert You throuGh the usual method.” “texting “DONT DO IT DUMBASSES” to the group chat,” Virave said with a nod. “got it.” The man—his name has been lost to mortal minds, but we’ll call him Chad, because he was so a Chad—stepped down from his platform. The people adored his message, his speeches were on point as always, and just as he’d thought, those so-called Creators were either not real or too detached to do anything about it. “yo.” Chad glanced over to see four unassuming troll youngsters. He had to stifle a chuckle—three of them had their arms crossed and one was leaning her elbow on another, the very picture of teenage skepticism. Regardless, he would convince them. He was very convincing. “What can I do for you?” he said, putting on his best smile. He’d never been fond of trolls, but more followers were always needed. “A little birdie t+ld me y+u’re playing at g+dh++d,” one said, moving forward. Her red skirt swirled around her feet. Chad idly wondered how she avoided tripping. “I’m not playing, my dear, I am a god. A better god, in tune with the people, not sequestered in my tower all the time like some ‘gods’.” “okay but like heres the thing” one girl said, stepping forward. Chad wondered what caste these trolls were-none of them had a sign, and the dark blue of this girl’s shirt didn’t point to one specific caste. “the gods r literally always out n about u just gotta LOOK DuDe” Chad scoffed. “Don’t be ridiculous. If the gods are so active, why haven’t we seen them in action recently?” “maybe you haven’t,” the jadeblood (you could tell by the scarf) girl muttered. Something clicked in Chad’s head. “Ah. You’re going to try to prove you are the gods.” “well, he caught on...decently fast,” the jadeblood said to her comrades. “so how we gonna play this?” the blue shirted one said. Chad felt a sting of mild irritation that they were ignoring him in favor of keeping up the “gods” facade. “okay, here’-S my idea. i -Shank him, and lilith heal-S the wound,” the one who hadn’t spoken before said. They pulled a knife from their yellow coat and twirled it easily in their hand. Lilith (presumably) gently whacked them on the arm. “don’t be sIlly! we‘re under some sort of oath not to harm mortals, aren’t we?” “no,” the other one grumbled, “but fine, i gue-S-S.” “I c+uld d+ the timey thing,” the one with the red dress suggested. There was a chime and she looked down. “Ah. N+pe. Evelit says bad idea. Damn.” Chad couldn’t deny a stirring of fear in his chest, but he pushed it down. “If you are the gods, then which ones are you?” “fuck yes!!” Lilith cheered. “transformatIon sequence tIme!!” “Yes,” Red Skirt Girl said. “HELL ye-S,” Knife Kid said. “hell fuckin yes” Blue Shirt said. “Can I g+ first?” Red Skirt Girl said. “I’ve been practicing.” Everyone nodded, so she took a breath in and began to twirl. The edges of her skirt flew up, revealing striped green stockings, which quickly became a blue as she spun faster and faster until- A glittery green shoe clicked hard against the pavement and the girl stopped, beaming with pride. Her skirt settled around her, shorter and fluffier now, her sleeves longer and— The Timecrest emblazoned proudly on the front. “The Wild One,” Chad whispered, unable to keep a hint of reverence from his tone. The Goddess of Tune did a very silly bow. “In the flesh.” “me neXt!!” Blue Shirt cried, clapping her hands. She closed her eyes and- Chad couldn’t quite describe it. She seemed to almost fold in on herself, imploding, but before she could implode all the way, she was back, suddenly, fully formed. She was still wearing the oversized blue shirt and black leggings, but now she had fingerless gloves, a domino mask, boots, and most importantly, the Voidcrest on her shirt. “The R-g-e of ——“ Chad said. Or, well, not really said so much as half-choked. The Rogue grinned. “Someone knows their history!” “So you’re-“ Chad turned to the other two. The jadeblood girl simply flicked her hands and the scarf transformed into flowing ribbons, the dress lengthened, and the Lifecrest bloomed into existence, along with several flowers springing up around her feet. “I thInk some people call me the Goddess of UprIsIng, whIch Is great, don’t you thInk?” The one remaining had apparently already changed, into the glowing golden cape and matching shirt and pants of.. “The Speaker of Truths,” Chad said. “Bingo bongo,” the Knight deadpanned. Chad took a deep breath in. No matter. He was still the better god, even alone. He had something they didn’t! “Well, regardless of your flashy transformation sequences, you are out of touch,” Chad declared. “The people have forgotten you, and a new god—a better, friendlier god—is here.” “woooow,” the Rogue drawled. “i cant even...ive seen stupiD, but this is something else.” “can i plea-Se ju-St -Shank him?” the Knight said, twirling their knife. The Sylph gently patted their cheek. “shoooosh.” “can we call in a solar eclipse now?” the Rogue said, but the Witch shook her head. “It w+n’t d+ any g++d. This is a matter +f rhetoric.” “OH!!” the Sylph said suddenly. “I’ve got an Idea!” She turned to Chad. “when’s your next sermon?” Chad checked the time. “A few minutes, actually.” “great! we’re comIng,” the Sylph said, and shoved past him, dragging the Knight along. Chad, confused, followed. When he arrived on stage, a crowd was already gathered, expectant. The gods stood off to one side, leaving the microphone available. Chad stepped up, tapped it a couple times, and told himself his mantra in his head. You are powerful. You are mighty. You are open. You are a god. “Helllooo, my people!” “our people,” a clear, commanding voice cut in. Everyone turned, and when they saw the gods, gasps and whispers broke out. “is it gonna b a rap off” the Rogue stage-whispered to the Knight. “nah,” the Knight said back. “i think i get what -Sylphie’-S plan i-S.” The Sylph started to walk towards the podium, and her friends followed, creating a strange little parade. “um. hello,” the Sylph said into the microphone, and the whispers increased. “thIs man claIms we have abandoned you, that we are out of touch. he lIes. we are among you, always, and not even fIguratIvely. who here has been to a protest recently that turned sour?” A few people raised their hands. The Sylph nodded, pointing at one of them. “you. protest for goldblood psIonIc headache medIcatIon to be legalIzed? there were a bunch of sonIc blasts, but somehow no one got burned. that was me helpIng. best of luck, btw.” “you, the one with the nice jacket,” the Knight said, and the people quieted, because the Speaker of Truths would not lie to them. “i told your mom -She had to get you vaccinated. did -She?” “Y-Yeah,” the kid said, looking shocked and maybe a little overwhelmed at having this attention put on them. “She did.” The Knight nodded, satisfied. “Y+u,” the Witch said, pointing at a young woman. “We fucked +nce. Last week, actually. Call me?” “okay, well, that Isn’t the best example-“ the Sylph said. “we went 2 a rave together!!” the Rogue said, pointing at yet another startled face. “wait, u 2? aw fuck man. i cant believe uve done this.” “-So, we gonna -Smite the-Se dork-S?” the Knight, and the crowd all backed up a bit. Chad, for his part, was eyeing the mic as if weighing the chances of being able to grab it back vs the chances of the Knight “shanking” him. “nah, they’re good,” the Sylph said. “just needed a lIttle remInder of theIr real gods, I thInk.” “sure we shoulDnt try 2 push that reminDer a bit?” the Rogue said hopefully. The Sylph smiled. “Already texting Wisria,” the Witch said. The Rogue stepped forward and raised their hands dramatically. “citizens! in the interest of fairness, we will allow this chaD here 2 give a lil Demo of his talents.” Chad stepped forward, looking like a man who had just seen his own death and was not at all pleased with the indignity of it. “Yes. Ahem...observe!” He pulled an apple from thin air, spun it around with a flourish, and then tapped it, It instantly aged and became a wrinkled and gray mush. “Cute,” the Witch said. The Rogue nodded. “one of urs. alright, y’all got the flashy anD non fatal powers. take it away!” The Sylph seemingly spontaneously grew a pair of jade wings and fluttered over the heads of the crowd. With a hum, she perched on a tree and gestured to the Witch, who sprouted matching wings of her own and joined her. Together, the two managed to age a small tree to the point where it’s shadow fell upon the whole gathering (considerably grown by now), and then to the point where it died. The Sylph then casually regrew all its limbs, and the two leapt down from their now considerably heightened perch. “Alright, our turn,” the Knight said, and right on cue, the sun went out. There were several gasps and a few shrieks, but everyone fell silent when the glowing Crests of the gods appeared in the sky, bright enough almost to replace the sun. Then they faded, the sun reappeared, and the gods took a bow in the style of stage plays. “learned your lesson, dearIe??” the Sylph said to Chad as the Rogue shoved him in front of the mic. Chad looked down at his feet, not meeting the eyes of what had once been his congregation. “I...I am not a god.” “damn right,” the Knight said. “alrighty, peace out y’all.” “stay safe!!” the Sylph cried. “keep an eye out 4 us,” the Rogue said with a wink. “Call me!” the Witch said, pointing again at the young woman in the crowd she had singled out before. And the four ascended away, pleased with a job well done.

Lightblur Prompt #3
(This is the final and third time era that Lightblur captures. Pre/During-Forces [this one], Post-Forces [Lightblur Prompt #2], and Post-Mortem [Lightblur Prompt #1])
“No, no, not like that, like this.” The awkward voice of a young teenager said softly as he used his finger to demonstrate once more what the exact movements were to unlock the corrupted files on the screen. He smiled as did the pink hedgehog he was training, until he reinforced the security and the data disappeared before her eyes.
Brushing her grown quills back, she shook the sweat off her hands and tried the maneuver once more only to be zapped thrice by the strict system.
“Ugh!” She cried out incredulously, before slamming a powerful palm into the side of the computer, “You know who I am, idiot!”
“Amy, you gotta try harder, we’re losing time on this machine.” Silver said with what he hoped had been a gentle push.
“Can’t you see I’m trying?” she screamed at him, her green eyes flashing with anger, “But this stupid piece of junk won’t work!”
“I don’t think it’s the computer, Amy. You must understand it’s very specific. It’s to-“ But he was cut off by the continuation of the girl’s rage.
“Yeah, I know. ‘To keep out intruders.’ If it’s so damn smart than why can’t it tell that I’m me?” She cried out, startling Silver with her fresh vocabulary.
“I have a feeling-“
“’You aren’t understanding what I’m saying.’ I do! I’m not stupid! I’m not useless!” she screeched, starting to breathe hard, “You, Knuckles, even Charmy have done nothing but patronize me and make me feel like I’m worthless!”
“Amy, I’m sorry, I had no idea yo-“ Silver started but was literally snapped at by the fierce woman in front of him.
“Of course, you have no idea! You don’t expect such a ‘small little girl’ to be so full of grandiose things. Well, guess what I’m-!”
“AMY.” Silver finally shouted, “Would you please, just calm down for a minute, you’re making me anxious.”
She stopped but continued to glare back at him.
“I never meant to make you feel that way. I chose you for this job because I knew that you were the only woman capable of handling such a ‘grandiose’ responsibility. Trust me, we know you’re smart, useful, and completely capable, but I guess we’re all kind of playing solo since Sonic’s not here to encourage us to team up.”
When she said his name, her wall of anger began to crumble, and in her glassy eyes spoke a field of sadness.
“And I know it hurts you to not have him around. People mean well when they say that, ‘they miss him too’ but I know for you it’s like losing the universe and everything that matters in it.” He began to approach her slowly.
A single tear escaped her eye and her face crumpled up slightly, “No one has ever realized that, besides you.”
“I know it hurt you so bad to lose him so suddenly, so much so that you felt the need to grow-up and act tough like the rest of us, but the truth is, is that you’re already so strong, Amy.” He cupped a palm under her chin to raise her face to face him.
That was what broke Amy Rose.
She began to cry violently, sobs escaping her mouth as she held onto Silver’s steady arm, as if to keep standing.
It was the same exact way that Sonic used to lift her face, and it used to make her giggle girlishly. He’d say something corny like, ‘chin up, princess, the town needs rescuing,’ or ‘keep your head towards the sun, rose.’ And it was so sweet and beautiful, but here she was, in an underground hideaway, trying to save the world her prince had lost.
Coming back into the present, she lifted her eyes up to the warm gold ones of the silver hedgehog in front of her.
“I’m sorry I made you cry like that. You can probably tell by now that I’m a horrible person to turn to for encouragement.” He shrugged harshly.
She barely laughed, “It’s okay. And, it wasn’t necessarily you who made me cry. Just… everything did.”
He understood, “I’m no ‘Sonic,’ Amy, but I do want you to continue to live life to the fullest and help push you along the way when you need it. It’s just,” He sighed, “It’s a crappy reason, but no-one really was there for me to cheer me on, so I kind of suck doing it myself. But I love you-r! spirit so much that, I want to see you succeed in all you do.”
Amy’s cheeks tinted slightly pink at the well-perceived slip-up, but she said nothing, “Thank you, Silver. And I understand, but I’m glad you try anyway.”
She placed her hands on her hips with renewed confidence, “Now let’s get this thing working!”
“That’s the spirit!” Silver cheered with her, bumping his fist in the air playfully.
She walked back over to the computer, but her shoulders slightly slumped when she saw the bright red screen of a previously failed entrance, she turned to face her colleague, “Uhm, can I have a little help, please?”
“Absolutely.” He stood beside her, he reached for her hand then paused and said, “May I?”
“Go ahead.” Amy nodded, the pink returning once his cold palm touched the back of hers, she shivered.
“Sorry if my hands are a bit cold.” He apologized, slightly embarrassed.
“Well, my Dad used to always say, the ones with the coldest hands have the warmest hearts.” Amy smiled at him.
It was his turn to turn rosy as he slowly guided her hand in the shape of the path on the screen, the bright green illuminating them both before giving way to a plethora of floating files.
“Think you’ve got it now?” He asked.
Amy smiled genuinely for the first time in months, “Yeah, thanks to you.”

“...that's how it was with Phish. We just put them in our system and the music touched a nerve”
Phishbase is a project that runs on a thirst for minutiae. When was the first time Trey struck “the Note” in YEM? How many shows did they play at The Cotton Club before they moved on to a bigger venue in Atlanta? If you’re following along it’s probably because just like me, you care to know answers to these kinds of questions.
So when I came to the end of 1990, on the heels of the release of Lawn Boy, I realized that I’d be coming up on the time frame where the band got signed to a major and that I didn’t really know anything about how that came to pass. Who brought Phish to Elektra? What in the world were they thinking when they signed this quirky band?
Well, the answer is: Sue Drew. Sue has had a long and varied career in the music world, starting as an A&R rep at Elektra, moving on to other labels and later, working on the music publishing side of the business with ASCAP and now at Kobalt Music Group in Los Angeles. The range of artists she has worked with over her career run the gamut from They Might Be Giants and The Barenaked Ladies, to Bette Midler and Taylor Dayne.
Rewind back to 1990 though, when Sue was a young A&R rep in New York City who came across a new release by a relatively unknown band from Vermont:
Phishbase: So what I was curious about, I mean I've been a fan for a long time, and you know, Phish fans kind of pick apart these details incessantly, and I realized I really didn't know too much about how they got signed to a major label. So let’s start at the beginning, you first saw the band towards the end of 1990?
Sue Drew: Yeah I saw them in 1990 probably in the fall of 1990.
Phishbase: And had you heard about them before then?
Sue Drew: Oh yeah, I had heard about them because CMJ, which was actually a publication at the time, had put Lawn Boy on the cover and when I saw that I went to the record store and I bought the record and I checked it out and I listened to it and thought this is probably the strangest album I have ever heard. But there's something about it. And so I just I put it aside, but every so often I would listen again and then I would go, this is really the oddest thing but there's something about it. Then I saw they were playing in New York here and there, especially at The Wetlands which was a club down on Hudson, but I never made it to the Wetlands for Phish, but then they played a gig at..it was a club that didn't last very long and it was in the.. I’m going to say in the 20s on the West Side. I wish I could think of the name.
Phishbase: The Marquee Club?
Sue Drew: The Marquee, yes! So, it was about a thousand people I think at the Marquee. Anyway I went to The Marquee one evening and I opened the door and I was just amazed at what I saw, I was completely blown away. The crowd was one thing because they were all so into their own little world and into the whole music but the band was just incredible. The musicianship was amazing. And from that minute on I just became obsessed with them as musicians and so I started paying attention to where they were playing. They played the Chance in Poughkeepsie and literally there were very few people at that show and that was not too many weeks later. And then they played the Capitol Theater in Rye, New York.
And so, I reached out to them and I'm not sure how I did that. I might have had a contact from the back of the CDs or something. I don't really know how I did it. John Paluska was the manager at the time and he had just started managing them and you know, they were not at all interested in signing to a major label. I mean not at all. And frankly, there were no major labels interested in signing them either. I would go to these gigs back then and there wouldn't be another A&R person for miles, like nobody was there. But I had a boss at the time who said to me “you know a band’s worth is inversely proportional to the amount of A&R people in the room.” So, I thought, you know he's right in this case because no one's there and I think they're amazing.
So, I started pursuing them and I flew to Burlington and Paluska picked me up. Two or three of them lived in the same house at that point. And I spent some time there in the afternoon and then we all went to dinner in the evening. And I think they were just being polite. Frankly I don't think they had any interest in signing to a major but at some point they came back to New York. At Elektra Records we had a wonderful secret in our record cabinet. In those days we used to keep copies of all the CDs that we had released previously. We'd have five to ten copies of everything and it was an incredibly impressive roster through the years from Elektra's inception until that time. So I brought them into the record cabinet, opened it up and their eyes just popped out because you know everything from the Eagles to Tim Buckley to Motley Crew and Metallica and The Pixies, I mean, it was just an amazing array of talent historically speaking and current day. And I think at that point, when they opened that up and saw that, they might have reconsidered and thought yeah I want to be part of this.
You know in all honesty the deal was not difficult to conclude because they weren't greedy. They knew that their fan base was such that when they released something next, if they asked for a modest advance they would be in the black from the day the record shipped. So we gave them some sort of advance which I don't remember what it is now and that indeed was true: From the minute the record shipped they started making money for us.
Phishbase: So, was it a harder sell then to convince your bosses that they were worthy of signing?
Sue Drew: I mean not really and I'll tell you why because again, at Elektra musical uniqueness was of a premium and anyone who really listened to the music and really saw the band got it. Even though the head of the department absolutely would never have gone for a band like Phish, not at all. He was like Mr. Super Cool and they weren't going to fit into his aesthetic, but otherwise they were very good about letting people pursue what they wanted to pursue.
The Chairman of Elektra at the time was Bob Krasnow and Bob, you know he produced Captain Beefheart. They were very open and it didn't take a lot to convince then. I mean, it took a little bit only in the sense that here's this thing that no one else was interested in. And yet, you could point to it and say these guys are doing well on the road, they had two independent records out that are doing well and I have a feeling that when they release the third one, whenever that is, it will do great. And so, they were OK about it and really it wasn't that hard.
They might have teased me because, you know, super geeky me wasn't into what was happening at the time which was more in the Teenage Fanclub, Sonic Youth, Hole, that type of stuff. So I'm sure I got teased a bit. But I'll tell you, they did let me do it without any complaints or questions really.
We had a few funny little things happen because the band, you know, they never dealt in that world, right? The major label, sort of erudite music business, Rockefeller Center world. They would show up just like, stinking to high heaven, and we would take them aside and go "Look guys you have got to put on deodorant and take a shower. You can't just show up at 75 Rock and then ‘just be’.” So they were kind of funny, but then they also had their serious side, like look "we don't want any publicity. We don't want to do any radio promo. We don't want to be on any late night television. We don't want anybody hawking our music to the trade and we don't want to do any opening slots. We won't do any of that. We're going to play by our rules and that's what's working for us." And that was not easy at first for us to get down with because you know the major labels have a machine and you get slotted into that machine and they do everything the way they do.
Somebody once asked the head of marketing at Geffen Records “what did you do differently for Nirvana to make them so successful?” and he just said “we did absolutely nothing differently.” And that's how it was with Phish. We just put them in our system and the music touched a nerve. And there you go. And that's really how it was.
Phishbase: When you talk about them outlining their rules, what they would and wouldn't do, were they in any way difficult?
Sue Drew: They said no plenty of times to David Letterman or any late night things. I think there was a time that Rolling Stone was considering putting them on the cover. And that didn't happen. There were a lot of things like that that they didn't want to do. When we released Chalkdust Torture to radio because they did an edit of it and it was probably the most accessible radio type song they had ever done. So, they let the promo team work it, but not, I mean they weren't going to pander. That's for sure.
Phishbase: So, once they get signed how long did that carry through? Was there ever pressure to try to shift them towards commercial success or was it always hands off?
Sue Drew: It was mostly hands off but there were always little attempts to try to push them. There were always attempts from the publicity department to get them to do more, to do some interviews. There were always attempts from the promo team to get them to go to radio stations and to invite programmers to the show, which they did do a little bit of. There were always attempts at things like that but everyone really understood they were just going to do it their own way.
Same with the tapers. You know at the time that was revolutionary to actually have a section set up for people to tape your music when you were signed to a major label. Everyone thought that would impede and interfere with record sales but it only spurred interest among fans and people started acknowledging that they really were at the beginning of this whole sort of you know social sharing movement. I mean, I know the Dead did that although in all honesty I don't know that much about the Dead. I saw them once at Madison Square Garden, but I was not a serious fan so I don't really know what they did. But this whole idea of making it easy for people to tape shows and get the best quality was all new and really started with Phish.
Phishbase: I think, in a way, they're really the first internet band.
Sue Drew: They totally were! And that's the other thing, they came to us and said “hey, we have our own website, it's Phish.net” and, at this stage, we weren't even on computers or e-mail at Elektra you know, and vaguely I thought I knew what they were talking about but not really because it was so new. So they were very forward thinking and they were very forward thinking in their merchandise too. They did a newsletter every month where the band all contributed little pieces and then they sold their merch.
Phishbase: At that point, that early on, did you see them becoming kind of this big generational arena rock band or more of a quirky band that would play theaters and always have their die hard fans and make a career out of that route?
Sue Drew: I thought they would be bigger than they were for sure because when you walk into the venue and you saw all these kids who were young and into music and it really wasn't about a scene it was just great music.
I actually introduced them to their booking agent this wonderful man named Chip Hooper who I had known many years back and I remember really teeing Chip up and saying “look, this isn't anything you've ever worked with before, this isn't any music I think you've really paid attention to before. It's very unusual, it's very different, but they're very smart, their manager is really smart, he's a young kid but he's got all the right stuff.” At that time in my opinion Monterey Peninsula was the best booking agency because they booked artists, true artists. I really wanted him to take it on and he did. And I think at that point I thought “OK they're in good hands now and I think they will get bigger.” But never could I imagine, I mean, even the first time they sold out Madison Square Garden you know, that was huge.
Phishbase: That is still, I think, the loudest crowd I've ever heard at a Phish show
Sue Drew: It must have been mind blowing. The funny story about that: After I did leave Elektra, I left at the end of '92 and, after we signed them and they were making A Picture of Nectar or maybe when they were releasing it, they did a big show at the Roseland Ballroom. It was their biggest show to date in New York and all of Elektra Records came including my boss who was the very snooty one who only liked super hip cool music and including the chairman of the company Bob Krasnow and it was during that show that they just, they flipped out. Howard Thompson, who was the head of A&R, came to me and he said "Jon Fishman is my favorite drummer in the whole world." Like, he couldn't believe what a drummer Jon was and then within a month or two of that show Bob Krasnow promoted me to Vice President and I'm fairly certain it was that show that really got him to look at me in a different light and it was because they played Take the A Train. I mean, this was an older guy at the time and you know it was just like “oh my god, Take The A Train,” he completely got it.
So then, about Madison Square Garden. After I left and after Bob Krasnow left, somebody else became the chairman of Elektra Records and this person knew nothing about this band or this kind of music and Paluska went in to have a meeting with this person and he was trying to get them to pay attention to the band, to acknowledge the band, not in too overt of a way, but just to acknowledge that this band that was selling records and was making a name for itself and was on the label. So, he wanted to introduce himself and he said “look, we're playing the Garden next week if you'd like to come to the show.” And she goes “well who are you opening up for?” And at that moment he realized “hey I get it, this is not the place we originally signed. These people have no idea what they're dealing with.“
Phishbase: So how did you break it to them that you were moving on?
Sue Drew: Honestly the worst thing you can go through as an A&R person is telling a band you absolutely love, that you signed, is that you're leaving. It is a horrible thing.
Phishbase: And at that point, it's 1992 and still relatively early in their career.
Sue Drew: I mean, it was very early still early on. A Picture of Nectar had come out, they were working on Rift. I kind of stayed involved a little bit just because I couldn't help myself because I loved them so much. You know, I just called Paluska, he lived in Boston so I didn't see him as often but we spoke on the phone, and I just let him know that I had another opportunity. And you know, I felt terrible and I do to this day feel terrible. But there you go. And honestly I stayed very friendly as you do for a while with people that you've worked with. I have seen Trey in recent years. I go to see the guys when they play the Hollywood Bowl. Now I live in L.A. and you know I hung out with Trey and Page a little bit a couple of years ago and it was so nice. I went to see Trey opening up his musical at the La Jolla Playhouse and you know they're just outstanding people.

Eh, it’s late, but it was a late night and I’m in a good mood and I’m not super tired so I’m gonna write. We made eye contact this morning. I was studying for a Spanish test we ended up not taking, and you walked down the hall towards the cafeteria. I try not to look at you, but it’s getting easier to. I guess it doesn’t quite hurt me as bad now that I know you’re hurting too. Saying you hurting makes me feel better sounds bad, but it’s the truth. You hurt me, and I guess this is the karma for that. Feels good to know that for once I’m not the one hurting you. You hurt me and now you feel bad about it.
I hung out with my best friend tonight. I know how much I mean to her. She talks to me about a lot of stuff and I make her feel better. Been through thick and thin. She’s cried on my shoulder and I’ve always been there for her. I don’t talk to her about my problems, and she knows that I don’t want to and respects that. Best best friend I’ve ever had, dunno what I’d do without her.
I’ve come to realize that I’m an extremely jealous person. Both towards the girls I like, and my close friends. They are MINE and I don’t like sharing. It’s unbelievable how much anger I can feel towards the guys you talk to, even if I don’t know them. I HATED B. back when I was in 10th grade, but now I’ve learned that he’s a kinda cool guy. He did bad things to you and that’s horrible, but I hated him before solely because he was talking to you. I hated M. when he started talking to you. He was my best friend and I cut him off like it was nothing. He’s tried to apologize to me but I turned down his apology. I do not want to be friends with him ever again because of what he did to you. We had to clean the band room together one day last week. He had to ride in my car. Was awkward to say the least, but I made it work. He tries to talk to me now and then, but I always keep my responses minimal. Now I hate R. because he’s talking to you. Don’t know the kid, and he might be a super cool guy, but I hate him because he gets to talk to you and I don’t.
C A N W E T A L K first off, you only put 8 songs on the CD, not 9. The other I had to look up on YouTube. I made those 8 songs into a Spotify playlist so that I didn’t have to put in the CD to listen to them if I wanted to. Buuuutt the songs and the thought of you making it for me is super depressing, so I doubt I’ll listen to it much. Can we talk? Really? You ask me can we talk, but YOU don’t even ask me. You made my best friend do it, and even then it was a hidden message. Like I told my best friend tonight, it sure doesn’t look like you want to talk to me considering you’re still talking to him. Sonic was hella awkward. I started shaking as soon as I saw Justin pull up because I knew y'all were with him at the party. Dyl sent me a snap with all of y'all in it. I blamed the shaking on me being cold (which I was), but I think you pulling in really ramped up the shaking. C. was like “this is gonna be hella awkward” and I was like YEEEEEPPPPPP. And then you had the audacity to come over to my car, have me put down the window, and you talk to me best friend that’s sitting right beside me…. Ballsy. I made eye contact with you and literally gave you the biggest eye roll in my entire life. I thought my eyes were gonna get lost in the back of my head. I just don’t understand you. It’s like you’re a hypocrite. A hypocrite afraid to commit to anyone. You think I’m going to talk to you and you still continue to talk to R…… Not gonna happen. If you want to talk to me, throw him back where you found him and hmu. Until you’re willing to do that, I don’t want to talk to you. I’m not desperate. I don’t NEED to talk to you. I want to, sure. I miss you, of course. But it’s not time yet. I’m not going to make it easy on you. I’m not playing hard to get or anything, but you deserve to hurt for a little longer. If you want to talk to me, TALK TO ME. Not through my bestfriend.
You’re posting on your other account now too, trying to get my attention. Well done, it’s working, but I’m not compelled to reply to you on my main account. I can vent on here and that’s all I need. One tumblr is plenty. I only use tumblr when life isn’t super happy, when I need to repost things to tell how I feel. Now I’m writing how I feel. And this probably works even better. I’m beginning to think you don’t know about this account after all, or you would be responding to more of the stuff I’m saying (I think, anyway). Which is weird that you gave me that CD then, but I guess a lot of things are weird in life. Anyway, I had a good time with my best friend tonight. I’m in a good mood tonight. I’m not feeling depressed tonight. I’m okay with you being on my mind tonight. I need more nights like tonight.
