aww that's so cute djcjdk what are your favorite works by them?
skdjfnd no anon you’re cute (okay, blu will stop being cheesy)
there are way too many from @changbeanie because everything she makes, from her gifs to her oneshots is just.....a masterpiece. // she is a super friendly and amicable person and in general, a cc that deserves lots of love! her writing is beautiful, yet simple, and intricately woven with her seamless dialogue. you may be shocked how fun they are, and how they are easy to imagine because they don’t stray very far from reality. each story feels very warm and very “human.” they’re so iconic, they’re basically fairy tales. (she’s also highkey the reason my standards are so high) (´,,•ω•,,)♡ (her recent linked here)
i actually discovered @maatryoshkaa from youtube because her legendary young god trailer was in my recommended!! it’s actually amazing because without that, i wouldn’t even have a tumblr right now Σ(°ロ°) // she has a really unique writing style and basically a resident kaonashi lover // where do i begin?? every single chapter of this series is so carefully planned out, and the dialogue is written with so much care. there are clues in almost every sentence, and there is more to the story behind every single character. you can literally see and feel the colors of vivid, raw emotion dripped onto the page. it could even invoke a strange sense of sadness upon absorbing her all-too-real descriptions of human fragility. this story can literally be a real book, and i would totally watch a netflix show with this plot!! again, this writer is a true gem, and you will find every single chapter worth rereading, and the next 100% worth the wait! (young god linked here)
and needless to say, @chasingatinydream is hands down the most iconic ateez fic writer. her legendary series pirate king has taken the ateez fic reading community by storm and has looted the poor hearts of many, including blu. one plot twist after another, her writing will transport you to another realm, where the spirit of action and adventure are timeless. ヽ(°〇°)ノ definitely a good read for when you want an escape from reality!! she is truly a gift, and you won’t regret reading her currently 82-chaptered fic! (linked here)
anon i know you only asked for fic recs but aksdbfdkj i needed to express my love and appreciation for these talented writers

Stonebwoy; A major player in Ghanaian Music
Every single month without fail African artists are constantly reminding us that they are in fact the kings and queens in this music game. So far in terms of music, this has really been our year and I could not be more excited! One album we cannot stop talking about here at COA is Stonebwoys ‘Anloga Junction’. This is his fourth studio album and a body of work that the Ghanian musician has been working on for the last 5 years. He describes it as a beautiful African scene with a touch of western experience and influence – Anloga junction is the juncture between those two contrasting perspectives.
Specialising in dancehall, reggae, and afrobeats Livingstone Etse Satekla is not only a major player in Ghanaian music but in African music as a whole which is why he will forever be one of the continents most celebrated artists. Having rose to international stardom after being the first artist of his kind to win a BET Award in 2015 and has subsequently won many other international awards such as Afrima, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award as well as received nominations from MTV EMA, Grammy Awards and more. This man is not to be slept on!

Who was Stonebwoy 10 years ago?
I mean, I was still doing music …. I mean I was and still am a son, I come from a Christian family, you know? I have been doing music since I was 16, you know what I mean? It never stopped, I just kept going harder and harder. YHHH 10 years ago, I should be out of school, out of uni or something!
You create Afropop, reggae and dancehall, which one out of the three is your favourite genre and why?
I mean all three because, for me, it’s all the same roots but different branches. So when it all comes to me, I comfortably create either of the genres, I find it difficult to actually choose a main one. I think I always do all together because when you pick up any Stonebwoy song, you still feel all three; some dancehall, some afrobeats, some reggae – every single time you pick up any stonebwoy song. But you may notice that it is mainly the dancehall and afrobeat that you can feel everytime you hear any of my songs.

You’ve worked with the likes of Kranium, Sean Paul, Burna Boy and of course the beautiful Ms Keri Hilson. Who has been your favourite to collaborate with so far and why?
You know, when it comes to this type of question – the favourites question, it sort of limits me in a way because every collaboration of mine is a favourite, they are all unique in their own ways, you know what I mean? So I can hardly pick which one stands out amongst all of them. However, the one that is making a lot of noise right now, making a lot of impacts and that one that needs to be very much appreciated at this moment in time is the one with Keri Hilson – Nominate. It’s so crazy, it’s amazing! The combination of afrobeats and RnB with some dancehall in there is just crazy, it’s really nice to hear.
How did the collaboration with Keri Hilson come about and should we expect more collabs in the future?
Uhmm what happened is that whilst we were recording the album we really planned to have an American collaboration on it, but the collab with Keri Hilson, it so happened that it was not planned, because if it was planned then that would mean that, that would sound like I called her up and said I wanted her on the album. But none of that happened, a friend of mine met Keri on a flight and that’s how beautifully it happened – we got introduced. My friend didn’t even know it was Keri Hilson until something happened and they got the opportunity to talk and so by doing so, the conversation turned to music, we ended up exchanging contacts right there and then and we gained some nice relationships. Then when I went on tour in America, it so happened that she invited me to the studio and then we cooked nominate as a beautiful song and here we are today!
What was the idea behind calling this album Anloga Junction?
I mean it’s my roots, the intention behind the album is to give it that identity you know? It represents the fact that I have gained some influences and a lot of things having learnt from the African perspective when it comes to the music and it is at this junction that it meets with the influences from the west as well. That is why you get the name Anloga junction.
You said the theme of the album is a beautiful African scene with a touch of western experience and influence. Can you go into more detail on what you mean exactly?
Exactly! Yeah, I just think sonically it is a beautiful African song, the sound and the way the musical wave has taken a diverse turn when it comes to African music and the way it’s been received by the western world lately. All that has influence because I am one of the people, I am one of the musicians, one of the new schools who have added their voices to that type of style, especially coming from mixing the afrobeats with the reggae and dancehall to create the afro dancehall which is what I have been known for these last 10 years. When it comes to the continent of Africa, I think that I am well representing for that African sound and wave, that is a representation of that sound. Plus the Caribbean sound and which is at large the Western sound, which is what I mean by that!

Still on the JUNCTION…which music video should we drop next?
Tumblr media
A post shared by 1GAD (@stonebwoyb) on May 22, 2020 at 5:47am PDT
Why did you choose to record the intro track (Le Gbs Gbe) in your home language “ewe”, what was the initial idea behind this?
Yeah, the intro track is in my home language because that is what the album is representing cause when I say Anloga you know that anybody who is going to pick up the record they have to find that masterpiece, they have to find that significance or that representation of the whole of the Anloga vice in there, that is why you find I speak in my dialect for the first track on the album, so it can truly represent what I mean with the album.
You said that some of the songs in your album are actually 5 years old, which of these are and why did you wait to include them in Angola junction rather than epistles of mama?
The reason being for that one is that there had always been a plan and I had known this particular song is timeless enough and that the project that I wanted to bring out was not yet, it was not yet due for that song and so you know as we’ve gotten here and as we started Anloga junction project, this one here qualified. That particular song is called “Nkuto” feat Kojo Antwi, track number 5 – that’s the one, that song is like 5 years old and bow down is like 2 years old. I take time to fix these songs, it took me a total span of 5 years to fix this body of work for the people.
Tumblr media
Which is your favourite song from the album and why?
Track one, nominate and everlasting. But the whole album literally! I love the whole album, not going to lie.
You’ve worked with SA artists (AKA, Nasty C and Cassper Nyovest) in the past, do you yourself listen to SA music? If so what’s your favourite thing about their music/ artists?
Yeahh I do, I do. I love their sound and their whole African culture. You know the whole of Africa is culture – when you see Africa, you see strong accents, you see strong melanin, you see black, you see strong people. And all of that is depicted in our music when we sing so per the various places we have and the diverse cultures we have is well well enjoyable when you are a creative and span your scoop into all these areas. I listen wide to all these forms of music, I love south African music; their house, their kwaito etc.
Tumblr media
How does it feel to be inducted into the Grammy museum sound of Africa exhibit?
It feels great! That was an exhibition that happened 3 years ago around 2016/2017 that they had to select some African artists who have won in that category before and those who are making strong waves and that exhibition, it was only meant to last a week but went on to last a whole year and it had me in there and legendary Kojo Antwi in there. So it was a coincidence to have him on my album and then for the both of us to be inducted at that level and that is one of the great levels that afrobeats music has been able to reach by the help of Ava Hall and the whole team who put together the BET international category. So thanks to the whole team who made it work!
What would you say is your biggest achievement so far in your career?
So far I still have a lot of things to do, I still have a lot of miles to reach, you know I’m just taking it easy now and I can only say that at this level it might even be difficult to choose my biggest achievement but I know that I must be the number one when it comes to afro dancehall and reggae and I am grateful for that.
What do you believe is the future of African music/ afrobeat’s?
In the next 10/20 years, African music is still going to be on the rise. You should understand that it can only get better and better. I pray that, not only musically but on the African continent that everything can work together for good because our arts and our creative industries are dependent on the governors of Africa. So in the next 10 years, we pray that Africa becomes more independent, more resourceful and more developed in the right sense and that way our music is going to go far. Big up to every African artist who is putting in the work!

a story of two stories
...a behind-the-scene that no one asked for, but I cannot help myself, because I have a few thoughts and they’re flowing out of my fingers today.
Last night I finally archived, on AO3, two fics I wrote in ‘08. They have, on the surface, both very little uniting them, in terms of common characters and style (action/dialogue v. reflection) and plenty, the more I try to compare... most obviously that they’re both one-POV Harry Potter oneshots of similar length, one set in 1978 and one set in 1979, written at the same era of my writing.
I named both after Yeats poems.
In October I wrote In Their Autumn Beauty, taking the title from the first line of one of my all-time favorites, “The Wild Swans at Coole”:
The trees are in their autumn beauty, The woodland paths are dry
I wrote it when it was really hitting me, that James and Lily and co. were in their late teens/early twenties during the first Order/Voldemort War, that I was suddenly nearing the age they were when these fictional characters I’d read and written about through my growing-up years were married, had a kid, and died, and around my younger brother and sister’s friends, was struck by feeling old (ha, ha, ha, I say, a decade+ later). And I was looking at the poem’s lines such as the nineteenth autumn has come upon me/since I first made my count, and all’s changed and trod with a lighter tread and their hearts have not grown old  -
I’d like to say I then was inspired to write some brilliant utterly original work sealed into timelessness, but I wrote this fan fic, and, well, I still like it, and I’ll say this too:
Everything I put together and ‘published’, as fan fiction, is easily accessible to me and an instant time capsule to my writing, while my staggered notes and computer files aren’t quite so, and I’ve lost some, too, though I re-find them, sometimes.
But I’ve been able to call this little story up any time I like, and look at it, and know, well... I wrote this when my dad, who loved Yeats, was still alive, and by the time I posted my next little online story, he was not.
I put Somewhere Under Starlight up in December ‘08. By that date it was a little over two weeks after my dad died, a little over a week after I wrote his eulogy. My whole family still felt train-struck-- it was Dad’s heart, on his usual run, and none of us, especially not him, would ever have imagined him being gone.
I usually included author’s notes at that time...which, when I reread years later, usually make me roll my eyes or laugh at myself or wonder, who, exactly, was the girl writing that or begging for feedback, because she’s not me, not anymore...
That original posting does not have any kind of author’s note. No words but fictional ones.
It looks like I posted the first chapter of No Nay Never just about ten days after that, too, though, heaven help me if I remember doing so, I don’t know if I already had most of it written and just put it online, or if it was all just flowing out of me, as I escaped into a fictional character’s struggles instead of mine. I did write there ‘Please take the time to review, any words of feedback mean more than you know, especially just now’
...Which hits me hard reading back as, I guess, a real adult now, not that I’m terribly successful at adulting. I was even younger at heart than my young age, then, and longing, for, I suppose, an audience.
One of my happy few reviewers right then, right away, said, this was so different from your other work. In theme and in writing too.
(All’s changed, since I...)
And it is, and it isn’t, and it is, and it’s funny, in that sense when funny means a little strange and a little sad, that I’d been writing stories about loss and grief long before I ever understood it, beyond books, and so a sliver of something truer than usual went into the first story I wrote after my dad died. Most of it is complete character study, diving into the fictional world I knew best and loved most, and certainly when writing about the Black sisters’ father, that’s not at all my dad, not at all... but for one or two stolen touches, like standing in the hall, to check on his children sleeping, but for seeming too young, too alive, to be gone.
The truest part of it, what I was feeling the most, hides in the title, which was lifted from Cuchulain’s Fight With The Sea, Yeats again.
“You have the heaviest arm under the sky,” the son of the titular legendary hero is told. He counters that as untrue.
'Whether under its daylight or its stars My father stands amid his battle-cars.'
'But you have grown to be the taller man.'
'Yet somewhere under starlight or the sun My father stands.'
The somewhere under starlight line kept drumming through my head; it’s never left me. My father stands. Except then, he does not anymore, my dad who was my hero... he cannot be found under starlight or the sun. And I suppose I’ve been writing my way around grasping that ever since, and while I’ve written fiction and some nonfiction, not unlike this post here, that did that work much more for me, when it came to grieving in writing form, I turned to fan fic first. And because I preserved it there, I can still find it there, any time, welling behind the lines.
This is more just a story of what was and is, not a story with one clear point. I’ve been thinking about audiences and waiting on feedback lately, re: original fiction, and in stepping my toes back into the fan fiction world, as I try to be someone who finishes things, someone with both a metaphorical and literal clean house, I’ve been thinking of the girl I was and who I am and the role, there’s no question, being part of this community from my own little corner played in that becoming. If you want it, this is a reminder that reviews do mean so much, often more than is known; if you want, it’s a glimpse into the unknown real behind one person putting those free and lovingly-crafted thousands and thousands of words out there. Maybe you’ve read all thousands of mine, and did not know this until now: you, maybe, read the last thing, and the first thing, I wrote, before and after the moment that most altered my life and myself.
And while you didn’t know that, you do, of course, still know me, too, if you’ve read any of my stories, probably both less and more than you think. I’ve never lifted anything wholesale from life, but writers steal... and I’ve stolen the look of someone’s hair and the color of flowers and this anecdote and that one line, and every character is a little bit me... even the ones who belonged to someone else first, as is always the case with fan fiction... and yet belong to all of us readers & writers out there, as is always the case with fan fiction. So here are just a few more words of mine, and cheers to you all, always <3
#this is long enough to warrant a read more#but i don't intend to take up any tag#and if you're following me well#this is who you're following#the happy few#my writing#about me#my fanfic#hp fanfic#here are a few things that are true:#the flower color at the November funeral (and the wild-eyed desperate fit over the little things Sirius isn't there to throw?)#that's a Lupin story and he holds things in. Law Roach on Creating That Dress for Zendaya in 'Malcolm & Marie'
Tumblr media
Last year, Hollywood glamour came to a halt in the wake of a global pandemic. Gone were the days of couture gracing the elite days after a runway show. Ballgowns made-to-measure for A-listers gliding across the red carpet at a movie premiere ceased to exist. But that didn’t mean dressing up lost its luster—at least not for Law Roach.
The self-proclaimed “image architect” thrives off creative energy, from styling celebrities like Celine Dion, Hunter Schafer, and Zendaya (whom he has been dressing since she was 14) to judging HBO Max’s Legendary. In comparison, his time in quarantine was relatively unproductive. “I did not join TikTok. I did not cook banana bread. I didn’t work out. I did not do anything. People came out of quarantine with new skills and new bodies—that was not me,” he tells ELLE.com over the phone. “When you put somebody in that situation who literally works every day and whose whole life depends on him being creative, [then] not having anything to pour into…that was very, very tough. I am not one of those people that came out of quarantine on top.” But 2021 begs to differ.
With Malcolm and Marie, the Netflix film directed by Sam Levinson, Roach is adding costume designer to his resumé. The charged film was born from the COVID-19 pandemic and written and filmed during the summer of 2020. Roach styles Zendaya for her role as Marie, the girlfriend to rising director Malcolm (played by John David Washington, dressed by Samantha McMillen), and offsets the intensity of the film’s black-and-white palette with glamour dripping off Zendaya’s glistening custom gown.

DOMINIC MILLER/NETFLIX © 2021
ELLE.com spoke to Roach about creating the film’s soon-to-be iconic dress via FaceTime and his Black Fashion and Beauty Collective, which aims to support young Black creatives. Read on for more.
How did you feel when you were asked to be part of this film?
I was so flattered. When Zendaya told me Sam wanted to talk to me about being a part of it, I was really, really excited and a bit overwhelmed because I’ve never been part of any of her movies or her TV shows. I always get to do the premiere, all those types of things, which is great. That’s what a lot of our relationship is based on.
How is dressing Zendaya as a person different from dressing Zendaya as Marie?
I think there are some similarities. It’s still Zendaya’s body. It’s still Zendaya’s physicality, which is beautiful. When we do things together, we always create a narrative or a character. There has to be a story behind why the clothes are chosen. Who is she at that moment? It’s always been my job to create that narrative, to bring the pieces to the story. Then she takes them and becomes whoever it is and evokes whatever emotion we decided on. I put that into designing for Marie, too.
Why did you choose that dress style specifically?
The dress is custom. I worked with Jason Rembert from Aliette, a fellow stylist and great friend. Sam and I went back and forth. It was so organic. He said he wanted us to create a dress that was timeless. That, when people watch this movie 20 years from now, the dress will still be relevant and beautiful. He really wanted to create an iconic piece of fashion. And I was like, “thanks a lot, Sam. That’s a lot of pressure.”
That’s what I conveyed to Aliette. Jason went back and he did some sketches based on things I knew would be flattering to Zendaya—a costume that will help her become sexy, become Marie. One of Sam’s notes was that the dress needed to have movement. The fabric needed to be able to carry light. Jason and I went to the fabric store—on FaceTime, of course.
I think he made three versions of it. I sent those all back. We had a fitting. Then we made notes. We sent some dresses back to Jason with the notes. He did all the alterations. Then the final dress was created. And there you have it.
How would you describe Marie’s style?
I think Marie is a fashion girl. I think Marie also knows she’s beautiful. Marie is very, very, very strong-minded and opinionated. When it comes to fashion, she knows exactly what she wants. She knows how she wants to look. There is a very obvious sex appeal to her, which the stockings lend themselves to.
Tumblr media

What was the most challenging part of working on this project? Especially since it was done over video chats?
I think just not being able to physically be there. But, I think as creatives, what we pivot. We are human beings, we’re faced with an obstacle or adversity, then we pivot. We make the best of it. We make what we have work for us.
I think it was also a testament to my creativity. I was able to do it. I wasn’t on set. I wasn’t physically there to see the dresses. It challenged me in a way that I actually enjoyed.
How do you approach each celebrity client differently?
I collaborate with my clients. I always hope I get my way with them. I think one of the best compliments I ever received about my work is that all my clients look like themselves. None of them look alike. They all have their own identity. I think that comes with work. That comes with collaboration. That comes with me really listening and watching, and a lot of research on the client.
What was the most challenging part of 2020 for you?
I think my challenges aren’tt different from anyone else in the world. The beautiful thing about what happened is that we all went through it together. We all went through it. No matter how rich or poor or famous or what your job is, we all went through the exact same thing at the same time. I think we all pretty much shared the same concerns and worries and emotions at the same time.
It is actually a really beautiful thing to see how, as humans, we were able to all virtually hold hands in a way [and] pray for each other to get through it. We were all just trying to get through it. I don’t think my experiences are any different from yours or my friends who were in Milan or Paris or Africa. We were all just going through the same thing. You have to find some type of solace in that.
Can you update us on what’s happening with the Black Fashion and Beauty Collective?
What happened is that we were so excited and so motivated by what was going on in the world that we kind of moved a little too fast. We just put everything on hold for a second and are internally working it out. We want to make sure our mission is spot on [and] we’re able to really make a change when we come back.
What are you most excited about for fashion in 2021?
I’m excited, like everybody is, for things to feel normal. I’m excited that, hopefully, this year we’ll get back to carpets and the chaos of it. The photographers and the glamour and the opulence and all that. When I say us, I mean the fashion industry comes back in a way that is respectful and not tone-deaf. People are also missing the glamour because it’s so aspirational and it makes people feel good. I just want us to come in and back in a way that’s delicate and sensitive. I want us to come back in a way that’s respectful and thoughtful.
But I miss it all. I miss the chaos. I miss the stress. It’s why I got into this business. It’s why I became a stylist.

fine line review
oh my goooood i just finished listening to the album and i NEED to express my thoughts:
golden: didn’t know what to expect with this one but it’s?? so beautiful?? harry was so right saying it was a driving song it makes you want to go to california and watch the sunset from the car?? also the sun theme is so poetic and beautiful the way he uses it to talk about louis, his beloved?? the melody is quite simple but it’s so effective and these little da da da sounds the choir make in the background...heavenly. this part reminds me of another song but i can’t remember which one. what i love about this one is that it’s first time i’ve listened the lyrics seemed a quite sad (but riddled with hope still) and now the second time the meaning changed totally?? like it’s witchcraft how much the meaning can change once you look at the lyrics closely?? i know harry was talking about adore you when speaking about that feeling of bliss when you first meet the love of your life and fall completely but this is also what golden is about?? like being afraid but diving deep into it knowing this is right. i’m emo. in terms of vocals, it isn’t as BOOM as in other songs (in the sense that he’s not belting, using falsetto or a very low intonation that differs from his usual tone) but i love it!!! it’s very calm and peaceful and dreamy.
watermelon sugar: miss watermelon sugar is still as iconic as the first day she came out. it’s such a wonderful tune. my impressions on this song will never change and i will listen to it for another 30 times round without even hesitating. it just feels very summery and sensual and sexy without being too explicit (even though there is nothing wrong with being super explicit...see medicine). the chorus is just super catchy. the lyrics are so nice and i love the melody. very old pop and i’m a slut for this genre. also i know this has been HUGELY talked about before but i need to say it again. the way he’s saying belly!! the softness of the breathe me in/breathe me out parts!! the last watermelon sugar i don’t know why i’m obsessed it JUST SLAPS
adore you: oh darling. a treasure. 8 days ago, first time i’ve heard it, it took me by surprise because i wasn’t expecting that sound...but six seconds in and i was SOLD and already cherishing her with all of my heart. this song is JUST PERFECT. it’s probably the song that is the closest to 1D mixed with HS1 in terms of sound, like it’s super modern but at the same time has these very old school vibes i’m in LOVE WITH?? this is such a sweet joyful sappy song about his soulmate and i :’) also the rainbow paradise line i haven’t recovered from  bitches. i will never. this is such a certain and blatant declaration of love i wanna die!! i feel acknowledged as a romantic bitch who lives for this kind of grand gestures. thanks harry. also during some parts he sounds like old harry (i mean harry from 1d days) and then 2019 harry takes over and it makes me CRY
lights up: the first single and song from the era will always a soft soft in my heart. i listened to the track so many fucking times the words are tattooed onto my brain. this song was just so needed and so important. it’s so deep and means everything to me really. all of us wanted a song from him about identity and self discovery and lights up was the gift he gave us. never in my life i would have have dreamed of this song and it happened for real. i’m just so grateful. his voice in this is just so soft and delicate and so fitting for the song like it DEMANDS that tenderness and sweetness. also the choir gives me chills, like when they scream SHINE i just feel overwhelmed it’s!!! fuck!! i could write an essay about lights up because this song is just it. it makes you feel seen and understood and i just feel so lucky harry was able to share something as intimate as this.
cherry: lmaoooo. this one will be a skipper sorry. it’s far from being a bad piece because harry’s voice is always amazing but i can’t get over the voicemail. when the news came out i was just so appealed and angry but know i’m just cackling?? i’m french and what is this slander?? THE COUCOU AT THE BEGINNING IS RIDICULOUS!! and the ending sounds so rehearsed there is literally nothing naturel about it. thank god we hear harry’s laugh in it. I JUST KNOW it was added because there is no way he would have laughed irl at one of her jokes lol. lyrically you can see some parts were put there to make an allusion to the stunt (the accent & friends part, the gallery...) but others are just about louis?? like him being jealous of course it’s about the hubby. his voice is still beautiful but the melody doesn’t speak to me (and i would have telled you if it was the case) being objective, it’s the weakest one out of the album.
falling: OH MY FUCKING GOOOOD. i wanna say it’s my favorite song but i feel like it would diminish the love i have for the others but god...this song is breathtaking and out of this world. in terms of lyrics it’s the best HANDS DOWN. like period. fuck this song just BROKE ME. all that ache and heartbreak you get what he’s talking about when he said to zane lowe he hit rock bottom then. fucking hell. it just hurts knowing he hated himself that much like i can’t even fathom it. and his voice bloody hell?? i never heard him sing like that!!! it’s just so desperate and full of hurt and the high notes? please annihilate me. when i heard it i would at first sight i would be my favorite out of fine line. it was just so obvious. that kind of magic doesn’t happen a lot...like. i can’t pinpoint what part hurts me the most because the whole song is TORTURTING ME. when we’ll hear live i will be bawling for the rest of my life. i’m already am. my god it’s just so raw and honest no other artist can make me feel like that. you are experiencing the hurt with him it’s??? i have no words. and please this song makes no fucking sense if you don’t link to his relationship to louis like?? the i’m well aware i write too many songs about you?? hello??? i’m glad he doesn’t feel like that anymore because it hurts. it’s crazy how this song can pull you back to ancient memories and you just forget about the world. oh my god.
to be so lonely: i almost fell out of my chair (or bed, rather) because this song did not fit at all what i was expecting but it’s?? gold??? i was so sure it was going to be a full angsty ballad but it’s so catchy and it has those beatles vibe? like PLEASE. king of defying expectations. it’s so english. and it’s so smart because when the melody and rythm makes you think it’s gonna be corny (in the best sense of the word) but it’s kinda passive agressive? AND ALSO THE SWEARING. DON’T, STYLES. UR MY SON. i’m kidding. him hearing him say arrogant son of a bitch is THE PINNACLE of my life. also am i the only one that feels like if you change the beat a little and accelerate it on don’t call me baby ever again it would sound a bit like never enough? loved the throwback nonetheless. it isn’t a favorite yet but it’s already growing on me.
she: bloody fucking hell. first this song is timeless. it feels like it came straight (gay!!!) from the seventies. i had eagles vibes first listen but some said pink floyd and it’s SO TRUE. there are tons of rock influences in it but it’s so harry and manages to still be super unique?? just incredible. the writing of the song is the smartest out of HS2. it reminds me of woman (not in the way i was expecting...i had one supposition it was going to be about being envious of a woman while dumb people are tricked by the title) so much not in melody or lyrics at all but in the sense that it has a double (triple...and more) meanings. once again stupid hets think it’s about singing about the ideal girl when really it’s...on another plane of existence. like jesus. bitch i was right!!! it’s either a song on gender identity (harry singing about his feminine side that he was ashamed of for so long and tried to hide) or the closet and my god, the whole thing is just so clever.  A MASTERMIND. and the switch from the third person to the third KEATS you’ve been beaten. what a writer. it has thousands of interpretations this is just a trip. holy shit. the whole song carries so much guilt and repression and wishing be free of those feelings it’s?? i’m speechless. it’s so complex and intense. and fuck the guitar solo outro IS HISTORIC. in decades it will be praised as a masterpiece by all. i just know it. mitch you’re a genius. it gives just so much resonance and impact to the piece and it already had everything... i’m in heaven. or in hell. don’t know.
sunflower vol 6; cutest and weirdest song on earth and it’s A FAVE. it’s so colorful and nothing like he ever did before i’m living for it. it’s SAPPY AS FUCK and we stan sunflower in this house. also the part where he’s singing about wanting to kiss his lover kinda sounds like a lullaby and an alphabet song mixed together it’s ADORABLE!!! it’s such a being young and in love track i’m giggling!! it’s so precious!!! very poppy and gives you joy for days!! also super summery!! i wanna dance and twirl to it!! AND THE ENDING IS SO FUCKING LEGENDARY. BIG HIGH ON CRACK ENERGY. BITCH. it’s so uncanny like is he imitating a bird? calling someone?? trying to sound 5? i don’t know but it’s endearing. just so lovely.
canyon moon: another one i was expecting to be slow and it wasn’t. very country. thanks kacey for the input!! also him putting “jenny” in that sound is he trying to be adopted by dixie chicks and dolly parton? I LOVE that he’s trying new things with this track like country is such a hard genre to tackle and he nailed it. AND OH MY GOD THE LYRICS. it makes so emotional he’s literally creating a safe place for him and his darling?? could you be more in love?? this song belongs to the gays. san junipero without the angsty feelings. we deserved that. also he really mentioned the two weeks rule i’m weak. THIS IS INFURIATING.
treat people with kindness: the group part just sounds like a sitcom from the 80s. i’m dying. he really did that. and he named it like that :’) ALSO A GAY ANTHEM I CAN’T WAIT TO SCREAM THOSE LYRICS. big end of the days vibe. it’s just so healing and reassuring. it’s so empowering and i love the contrast between the very catchy happy bits (the high notes and the part where he kinda talks at the end reminded so much of mika which is a huge compliment as far as i’m concerned!!!) and that part where he’s singing very slow and soft you can see it’s very personal with him gaining confidence thanks to us during hslot <3 i’m dying this is such an exceptional gesture to like dedicate this to your fans? it’s so universal while being about his own journey (just like home..i’m sobbing) and that is like the mark of great music. also the instrumental is godsent.
fine line: i can see why it’s his favorite and why it is ending the album and giving it its name. i said falling was my fave but honestly fine line might be it too? the only difference is that i didn’t fall in love instantly, it takes time to escalate (it’s very similar to sott in that sense) beginning softly and almost whispered (also the high tone?? i almost didn’t recognized harry but at the same time it’s just 100% percent him but HE NEVER SANG in THAT TONE i’m!!! my jaw is dropping all the way to mars) like you can see it BUILDING to something superior and never made before... it’s a moment, it’s an experience, it just suspends time. like when music can do that for you...it’s infinite stuck in a few minutes. the two last minutes are purely angelic and the most beautiful thing i’ve ever heard. it has very few lines and words but the one there are so meaningful. when the song ended i just stayed a bit in silence without moving i could not believed what i just witnessed. and the album ending with we’ll be alright...it’s so fucking special. and that word doesn’t even give it justice.
fucK. this album is just...i’m trying to find words but how can you. when you make an album as ambitious and as outstanding as HS1 it’s hard to go back to the studio and find a way to equate it (i’m not saying top it because both can’t even be compared...) but he somehow did it?? i had no doubt but holy shit it’s unreal. it’s crazy because fine line is so different from the first one while being as rock and pop but there is a level of maturity and vulnerability that feels just so? different?? i can’t seem to find the right expression but i’m am purely in awe. i dk how harry finds a way to exceed my expectations every time like... it’s?? i’m sorry i’m just so moved and... it just means everything.
two years and a half after and the feeling is the same. an album changing me and my life at first listen and 48 minutes that felt like a lifetime and a second at the same time.

Suits, volleyball, and all the headcanon in between.
[Terushima, Futakuchi, Noya, Tanaka, Ushijima and Tendou here] [Akiteru, Kei, Kageyama and Hinata here] [Ladies of Karasuno here]
Kuroo.
Black on black. No tie, open two-buttoned suit jacket that hugs his waist, the top two buttons of his shirt are undone. Tailored wingtip derbies, black and matte- polished to perfection.
He’s actually the one who dislikes wearing suits the most (I mean, have you seen the guy, he literally looks like he throws on whatever he has lying on his bed).
Oh, but if you challenge him, or if the need arises- he’s going to be the sexiest guy in the room because he sure as hell isn’t going to lose at anything.
Hours of research and a lot of changing rooms is not going to be for nothing. If he’s going to suffer, he’s going to do some real damage before he goes (namely to your short-circuited brain and perhaps severe blood loss via nosebleed).
He tried the red and black combination once, until a girl actually came up to him and asked him which host club he worked at, and he’s stuck to black from then on.
Those undone buttons on his shirt? Collarbones. They’re so sharp that they can slice through paper, and it makes his neck slimmer and his smirk all the sexier.
Everything’s been absolutely tailored at least twice, and it’s so on purpose. Can you imagine those legs- miles and miles of slim height and oh, he knows you’re staring. He’ll wink right back.
Now that he thinks about it, he’s never had to buy his own drink before, and thus Kuroo’s legendary alcohol tolerance was born.
Kenma.
Black on burgundy. Tight fitting pants and a dark crimson skinny tie to match. Three-roll-two lapel, slim fitting and it makes him look way taller than he is. Simple, polished one-piece oxford shoes, a reflective black.
This small fireball takes all the thunder when it comes to red- even Kuroo can’t touch this level of smooth.
The red highlights his frame and accentuates his blonde hair, tied up in a messy mid-height ponytail.
He doesn’t really care what he wears, as long as it makes him slightly taller. Burgundy doesn’t put him in the spotlight too much, and his tie narrows the line of sight even further.
Short, lithe, and completely stoic, he’s the type to hang back at parties with a flat stare that has all the girls whispering about.
This is it though, he just has one set of formal clothes (and damn does it fit him to a T) but he doesn’t mind pulling it out when people ask him to.
He gets a bit annoyed that there’s no room in the pockets for him to fit his 3DS in, however.
Don’t ask this kid to dance. He’s the type to sit by the bar and take advantage of all the free drinks and purple cups with umbrellas.
Daichi.
Black on white, smooth and traditional, he also prefers a velvet bowtie to match the velvet lining the edges of his suit and the lapels. Pants are black, fitted but slightly loose to match the thickness of his waist. 4x1 double breasted black, with matching bit loafers.
Always, always, he’s the first one everyone notices because of how incredibly classic he looks. That easy smile and confident stretch of his shoulders makes him look like absolute royalty.
He says he much prefers his loose fitting t-shirts and gym clothes, but you couldn’t tell from the way he combs through his hair obsessively each time he’s asked to appear in black tie.
The stares don’t hurt either (especially not from Suga).
His hair however doesn’t really move much. It’s too short, but he makes sure to spray it still before he heads out.
He’s aware that he’s got a lot of muscle, but the double breasted makes him look solid and filled out, rather like he’s born to be in one.
....This is also the only set he has. Bought out of complete necessity, he’s discovered that maybe he doesn’t mind it as much as he thinks he does.
(The appearance is a lie though because he’s asked on a whole lot of dances by the ladies and he’s stepped on the feet of every one of them so far.)
Suga.
Forest green on black, with matching green pants. None of that bow-tie stuff either, it’s a (small shade lighter) dark green tie underneath that beautiful three piece suit. The waistcoat slightly lighter in colour, the outer jacket is left unbuttoned along with the long black trench coat he has on windy days. Dark brown wingtip oxfords to complete the look.
He’s fitted so utterly tightly that it’s a little surprising he can still move easily, but c’mon. It’s Suga. Each movement is so fluid that it makes him look like the flow of nature when he walks into a crowd.
His hair honestly depends on how he feels that day. Sometimes he slicks the sides of his ears back so that his face isn’t covered.
This is definitely not his only suit. He probably has around three more lying around in his closet, but green really brings out the brown in his eyes.
Silver hair makes him look like a nymph, with that mysterious smile and half-moon beams.
Give him any occasion to dress up, and he definitely will. Everything he puts on makes him look like some kind of God.
Have you seen a forest nymph dance? And not some kind of spirited ballet. Grinding.
Bokuto.
Three piece, dark charcoal suit with velvet lapels. Jacket unbuttoned, the entire suit literally hugging every curve he has (he’s quite buff, but it makes him look like he’s chiseled out of marble), and his pants are loose fitting enough that it matches the width of his broad shoulders. White shirt, velvet bow-tie, completed with a rare chelsea boot with a cap toe.
He really wanted to wear a checkered suit. Like, really, really wanted to, but it made him look like a walking fabric sample combined with his hair, so he put that dream away in the back of his closet.
Bokuto is a smart man, but when it comes to fashion and suits, this owl is hoot-hooting in complete confusion.
He didn’t even realize that he had to dress up in formal until Akaashi opened his closet and stared at him with a raised eyebrow (’were you planning on going in jeans, bokuto-san?’).
That day everyone was busy too, so he had to be dragged to the appropriate stores by Akaashi and was left there on his own- well, not quite. The attendant literally shoved him into the changing room and threw him various pieces until it all came together.
Somehow.
It’s a little uncomfortable, because he’s not used to having things tied up to his neck, but he doesn’t mind it. It makes him feel rather spiffy, and it spikes up his confidence, especially with the bow-tie.
Just imagine. Cocky grin, hooded eyes, golden gaze and muscle wrapped in tight charcoal.
At parties, he’s never left alone. Ever.
Akaashi.
Navy. Everything is so navy, and it makes his eyes pop out like the ocean during a hurricane. Slim fitting- tight and lithe, the navy jacket with black lapels and matching pants are emphasized with a slightly dark sea-blue/green shirt that’s topped off with a black bow-tie that matches Bokuto. His shoes are regular cap-toe oxfords, a reflective black polish.
His jacket’s always unbuttoned. One would think that he’s a completely put-together sort of guy, but Akaashi doesn’t actually like being boxed up too much.
The bow-tie is a necessary sacrifice, but if you ask him, his preference is:
He has a series of different coloured turtlenecks to go with his suits. It’s the most comfortable if he can slip one on instead of tie anything around his neck, but black tie is black tie, so he makes the effort.
There’s at least two suits in his wardrobe at all times, just because of how much his mother thinks he looks amazing in them.
He doesn’t actually need much tailoring- his body size is so incredibly balanced that they usually have his size with a little adjustment only.
Have you ever wandered what poseidon would look like in modern times? Well, this is it. The curly hair that he usually leaves untamed, it curls around his face with a timeless beauty and his narrowed eyes are constantly sharp and scanning the room.
When he smiles, though, the whole room can still for that single moment.
Oikawa.
Slim fitted, tailored at least three times, his lighter-to-mid charcoal, two button suit licks the shape of his body into perfection. The edges of his pockets and the lapels are a narrow velvet, paired with a black shirt underneath and a metallic dark grey tie that slims his entire frame with a center of focus. The pants are just so, wrapping around his legs without shaping them too closely, and his matching shoes are an oxford styled dress boot in black.
You’d think that someone like Oikawa would have an endless array of clothes that make him look good (well, he does), but there aren’t many suits. At a modest five in various different colours and combinations, the things he actually has the most of are shoes.
Oxfords, boots, boat, derbies- he has them all, in every hue, in every pattern.
The feet tie everything together, is what he always says, and you gotta hand it to him- they’re always brilliantly matched.
His rich auburn hair is more than often in it’s usual, perfectly coiffed style, but on occasion it’s swept backwards loosely to add a little maturity onto the soft planes of his face.
He does try and find any excuse possible to dress up as much as he can. Dragging his friends along with varying levels of success.
If you see a crowd of girls in excited voices, it’s usually because of Oikawa. He can stride into the room looking and feeling like the Prince of Wales himself, and good lord if he doesn’t look like the richest man there with that million dollar smile.
Iwaizumi.
Double breasted is the word. A matte, dark burgundy that brings out the warmth of his skin, paired with a white shirt and a black tie. Another 4x1 (nothing old fashioned, god forbid), it hangs straight enough for his sculpted biceps to fit. There’s a slight hint of velvet near the pockets, but the dramatics are kept to a minimum. His shoes, picked out by Oikawa, are a nice sharp, black, single monk strap.
It’s a formidable look- nowhere near austere, but it’s difficult to pull off without a firm enough expression, and Iwaizumi sure has that down pat.
His hair’s a loss. There’s no way he’d agree to style it differently, and even though he’d been forced to try one time, it just refuses to stay down no matter what.
Personally, he thinks the spikes add character.
This is his only coloured suit, the other one a dull, poorly fitted black affair that he had been handed by an uncle.
A structured fit highlights his confident posture more than a slim fit.
With his chin held high and eyes that seem constantly furrowed in single-minded focus, there’s nobody he doesn’t set on fire inside with that gaze of his.
He really doesn’t attend these events unless they’re necessary, and somehow he’s managed to fend of Oikawa’s attempt to drag him along for several years yet.

10 Quotes From The Office That Are Still Hilarious Today – Screen Rant
The Office gave rise to a lot of popular sitcoms, like the NBC conglomerate consisting of Parks and Recreation, Brooklyn 99, and The Good Place. Though some jokes haven’t aged well, the series still has a lot of quotes and moments that are laugh out loud funny today.

Given the amount of Dunder Mifflin swag you can find in any given pop culture store, it’s still beloved in the hearts of the general populace. Also, there’s actually an event in Scranton, PA, for the anniversary of when Kevin spills his world-famous chili. Look it up.
Anyways, here are 10 quotes from The Office that are still hilarious today.

10 When She Said That
“That’s what she said.” Michael Scott, various occasions.
Though low key misogynistic, sometimes you can’t pass up a good That’s What She Said opportunity. And yes, that includes a girls’ night get-together. You’d be lying if you said you’ve never made a That’s What She Said joke.
The beauty of the joke is that it’s easily applicable to any situation and can usually get a laugh. But we never really remember the exact instances where Michael says it and it’s really a toss-up of whether or not the audience laughs when he does. This one’s become more of a staple in regular conversation than a true quote and that kinda sucks. (That’s what she said.)
9 When Kevin Revealed the Big Mac Theory
“Every time you buy a Big Mac you set one ingredient aside. Then at the end of the week, you have a free Big Mac. And you love it even more because you made it with your own hands.” Kevin Malone (Season 8, Episode 8).
So we all know Kevin isn’t the brightest wonton on the pu-pu platter, but the Big Mac Theory almost makes sense. Almost. Because really, if you set aside a little bit of your Big Mac every time, you would eventually have a whole Big Mac?
Or you could just buy the Big Mac. That’s probably the less expensive option. There’s something inherently funny about the logic behind the theory – or lack of. But better is Robert California’s reaction to realizing that Kevin’s just been talking about food the entire time. This line is much forgotten among the ranks, but even out of context, it’s just funny.

8 When Michael Totally Didn’t Panic
“Oh my God! Ok, it’s happening. Everybody stay calm! Stay [bleep] calm!” Michael Scott (Season 5, Episode 14).
Let’s be real, this is applicable to any life situation. A family member’s going into labor? Something amazing just happened to you or a friend? Something catastrophic happened at work?
Yeah, it’s good for everything. And given that Dwight’s fire drill is one of the best cold opens the show ever had, you’re bound to remind everyone of the hilarity that ensued.
7 When Oscar Became the Fashion Police
“Saddle shoes with denim? I will literally call Protective Services.” Oscar Martinez (Season 9, Episode 22).
We all wish we could be as frank and sassy as Oscar is on any given day, especially when talking about other people’s children. Seriously, we all see those poor, unfortunate young souls committing the worst of fashion crimes because of their parents. Is that not grounds enough for Protective Services? At the very least, we could make the argument for a fashion intervention.
Also, Oscar’s totally right. Saddle shoes do not go with denim.

6 When Jim Spoke the Truth
“Right now this is just a job. If I advance any higher in this company, then this would be my career. And well, if this were my career I’d have to throw myself in front of a train.” Jim Halpert (Season 1, Episode 3).
We’ve all taken jobs that we don’t like just to get by. Gotta make money somehow! But in some situations, you stay longer than you intended, either because the work perks are good or you’re being paid well. And there’s nothing wrong with that. Jim had ambitions beyond paper selling, so anyone in a similar position can relate.
5 When Your Life is Still Buffering
“It’s like my life is buffering.” Kelly Kapoor (Season 8, Episode 17).
Life gets put on hold sometimes, either from extenuating circumstances or smaller personal hangups. Buffering is the perfect word for it. But the good thing about buffering is with enough time (and a strong enough internet connection), your browser will finish loading whatever it was you wanted. Waiting periods aren’t forever!

4 When Michael Followed the GPS
“The machine knows!” Michael Scott (Season 4, Episode 4).
Navigating through unfamiliar territory is anxiety-inducing at worst and annoying at best. Thank goodness for Google Maps and Waze! But sometimes, the GPS isn’t always right, as Michael quickly finds out when he takes the directions a little too literally.
Sometimes, human intuition (well, eyesight) is correct! So don’t drive right into a lake when there’s a curve in the road ahead. It’s not healthy to rely so much on technology.

3 When Stanley Laid Down The Law
“Did I stutter?” Stanley Hudson (Season 4, Episode 16).
This entire episode is legendary, but this is the quote-est with the most-est. The way Stanley delivers this line is amazing too, right up there with when he was berating Ryan for going after his daughter (even if it was the other way around, Ryan kind of deserved it).
Just be careful who you say this around. Friends and family? Sure. Your boss? Not everyone has as much chill as Michael Scott. Tread carefully.

2 When Identity Theft Wasn’t a Joke
“Identity theft is not a joke, Jim! Millions of families suffer every year!” Dwight Schrute (Season 3, Episode 20).
Dwight is right, identity theft is nothing to mess around with. But impressions of people you know? That’s…not identity theft. That’s just funny. Hopefully. Don’t be mean to people you like.
The classic Schrute overreaction makes this line iconic and it’s so specific that if you were to whip this one out in a crowd, someone would understand the reference. And if they don’t, it’s a funny quote. Someone will laugh.
1 When Michael. Declared. BANKRUPTCY.
“I. Declare. BANKRUPTCY!” Michael Scott (Season 4, Episode 4).
The penultimate Millennial mood. Are you broke and you still have to pay rent and somehow eat? Are you a slave to your student loans? Can’t pay for the most basic of essentials? Declare. BANKRUPTCY.
Ok don’t actually unless you really know what you’re doing, but this is a very good way to vent frustrations. Because like Oscar says, nothing actually happens if all you do is scream it at the top of your lungs.
