Does anyone know where I can watch the "Yes we can" episodes with the DFB Frauen? I know that the episodes "Rocky Mountains" and "Lachsspringen" are on YouTube, but there were a lot mor on the Website of Sportschau, but it doesn't work anymore. Or is it just my Computer where it doesnt' work?

hey :) i would really like to follow germany's women team more but idk where to start :/ any advice or favorite players/favorite matches or anything really that i could check out?

Ahh!! yes!! I’m 100% here for anybody trying to get into woso, especially the gwnt. I would say start wherever you feel comfortable. I follow the dfb frauen on twitter because it gives live updates on who will be playing, if there’s any injuries, pictures and match updates! It’s in german I believe but you can definitely get the gist of it. and I don’t think it’s in german all of the time (maybe? I’ve grown desensitized to it. oops)

@gwnts is also a great resource. @leomaier puts up links to matches around tournaments and such. It’s a small group of us but it’s a good group. Off the top of my head, I can say @leupolz @bavarian-pretzel @supermarozsan @marbenais @badwoolf21@rollingbug @bul-tdt and I’m probably forgetting people but feel free to chime in or reblog!

I would also recommend following @wosoindepth @fywomensfootball @canyonlights just for general woso around the world

The most popular players from the gwnt on tumblr are probably dzsenifer marozsan, tabea kemme, leonie maier, melanie leupolz and my namesake? so you can keep track of those tags.

I follow a lot of the players on instagram as well. the dfb frauen insta, svenja huth, jennifer cramer, josephine henning, ann-katrin berger, i think maro’s insta isn’t private anymore, lena petermann, sara daebritz, melanie leupolz, lena lotzen, alex popp, nadine angere, lena goessling, anja mittag, fatmire lira alushi, simone laudehr, laura benkarth, leonie maier, lina magull, and sara doorsoun. if you need any help with finding them on instagram just give me a shout, but they should come up with a quick search.

um as far as matches, I would recommend everything from the wwc in 2015 because it was a blast and even though we were on the top heavy side of the bracket, it’ll give you a sense of who is who and you’ll get to see nadine angerer, best goalkeeper in the world before she retired. If you can find any of the earlier world cups as well because kessi and celia and some others aren’t playing currently but they are important!

Obviously the olympics were a huge deal because we won gold!!! and I still can’t believe it!!!!!!!

Most important of all: pick a fave, look around, and make some friends.

Alushi uncertain about return to football, PSG › In an interview with dfb.de Lira Alushi talked about motherhood, returning to football and her future at Paris Saint-Germain. The 27-year-old midfielder is under contract at the club until the summer. Read the full interview (in German) here.  

DFB.de Do you miss football? Alushi: Of course. I watch as much football as possible on TV. I also follow what’s happening in Paris closely. I still have a contract there until next summer. We’ll have to see what happens next. But I miss football a lot, sports in general. I haven’t done any real sports for half a year. Instead, my son keeps me active.

DFB.de Can you imagine returning to the pitch? Alushi: During the pregnancy I always said it’s really clear for me, clearly I am coming back. But since Adrian is here, something has changed. I love being with him so much. I enjoy every minute of it. Football, of course, is very time-consuming, especially if you want to do it right. I can’t imagine handing over Adrian for a longer period of time. Also, my husband Enis and I don’t want to have another long-distance relationship under any circumstances. I can’t exactly say yet what’s going to happen next.
