it's not that allura doesn't trust shiro.
he's a good person, she recognizes that, and she believes him when he says that he wants to help. she cannot deny that his aid has been essential to turning the tides of the war.
on top of that, he can understand the black lion. allura may not have her father's proficiency in lionspeak, but she knows that the black lion would never talk to shiro if he was untrustworthy.
and she doesn't believe that he is. truly.
it's simply that sometimes, he disappears into other rooms for long stretches of time, and that she mentioned visiting a supernatural community once and he named it before she finished speaking, and an ordinary human would have had no reason to be able to do so at all.
it's that his reaction to learning about the supernatural world was not of the level allura was expecting. to be fair, it is not a common conversation that she has, but she would've thought there to be more... surprise.
it's that he mastered the powers of his arm far too quickly.
allura doesn't believe that shiro is lying to them, per se, but there's definitely something that he's hiding.

Chapter Five ~ The Roar of The Woods
The outskirts of Lionspeak cradled a dense forest, its looming trees whispering tales of a goblin fort causing unrest. As the group ventured through the city of Lionspeak contemplating their next move, a worried townsfolk approached with a plea for help. "Please, strangers, our city is suffering. The goblin fort in those woods is causing havoc. We'll pay you well if you can deal with the threat."
Ronan, eyeing the wooded expanse, flashed a sly grin. "Before we dive into goblin trouble, how about securing our payment? A mercenary's gotta eat, you know.” Odin, stoic as ever, nodded in agreement. "Coin first. Then we deal with goblins.”. Alyth, recognizing the practicality of the request, approached the concerned townsperson. "Rest assured, once our compensation is settled, we'll swiftly handle the goblin threat. A fair deal, wouldn't you say?” Aria, with a theatrical flourish, added, "Indeed, my good friend. Let's ensure the symphony of our talents is duly acknowledged.".
After the coins exchanged hands, the group ventured into the dense woods, guided by the distant murmur of the goblin fort. The trek proved challenging, the path winding through towering trees and thick underbrush. The air grew tense with the anticipation of impending conflict. Ronan seemed at home out here, whistling as he went along, moving through the rough terrain with ease, Alyth did his best to follow behind Ronan. Odin simply pushed through anything in his way, sometimes sending branches flying into the face of Aria.
As they ventured deeper, Ronan's and Aria's keen ears picked up rustling in the foliage, alerting the group to the presence of lurking goblin scouts. Ronan, sensing the impending threat, cracked his whip in the air. "Looks like the welcoming party has arrived. Let's show them what we're made of.”. With Ronan taking the lead, the group engaged the goblin scouts in a skirmish amidst the towering trees. Aria's enchanting melodies resonated through the woods, creating an ethereal backdrop to the clash of steel and magic. Odin's towering presence struck fear into the goblins, while Alyth's precise strikes and strategic manoeuvres kept the group one step ahead.
After dispatching the scouts, the group pressed on, the distant fort now within sight. The goblin fort, nestled in the heart of the forest, awaited their arrival. Approaching the goblin fortress, Ronan, ever the strategist, suggested a quiet approach. "Let's not give them a chance to prepare. Stealth might be our best weapon.” Alyth and Aria nodded in agreement, their eyes assessing the fortress walls for potential entry points. As they turned to consult Odin on their plan, they noticed he was nowhere to be seen. Alyth turns back to Ronan and Aria, “How exactly did we lose track of an eight foot tall bear in a forest clearing?”, Before they could react, a resounding crash echoed through the forest as Odin, with immense strength, shoulder-checked the front gate, sending it crashing down. Ronan, quickly drawing his weapons, stands from his crouched position, “Ok I guess we're gonna fuck them up with a louder soundtrack than expected, honestly my bad for expecting him to even know the word 'quiet'.”
The element of surprise lost, the rest of the group runs to meet Odin, only to find themselves in the midst of a grand battle. Ronan, wielding his whip with finesse, cracked it through the air, disarming goblins with precision. Each movement was a dance, the whip an extension of his will, creating a spectacle that left both allies and enemies in awe.
Alyth, using his bladed wrist gauntlets, darted through the chaos, striking with lethal precision. His movements were like shadows in the night, shrouding his enemies in darkness despite the sun remaining high in the sky, elusive and deadly. Goblins fel before they could comprehend the rogue's swift strikes.
Aria, with his charismatic charm, stepped into the centre of the battlefield, assuming it as his stage. His operatic voice resonated through the air, reaching the hearts of even the savage goblins. “Your friends are foes and foes are friends, fight each other till the end.” Aria's enchanting melodies worked their magic, convincing some goblins to turn on their own, sowing chaos within the fortress.
Despite the work of the team, hordes of goblins continue to pour out of the buildings, encircling the group on all sides. Odin's eyes flash, as he lifts his axe aloft, the sky above everyone's heads goes dark with looming clouds, as static electricity goes crackling up the head of his weapon. With a commanding roar, Odin summoned bolts of lightning, striking fear into the goblins. His ability to control the elements turned the tide of the battle back in their favour.
As the battle raged on, the group fought with coordinated precision. The clash of steel, the crackling of thunder, and the harmonious melodies painted a vivid tapestry of chaos and triumph. In the aftermath, as the echoes of battle subsided, the group searched the wreckage of the now desolate fort. Turning a large crossbeam over, Odin finds a human in a cloak. “Got something, not a goblin.”.
The rest of the group comes over to see the dead figure on the ground. Laying in his dead hand, a scroll encased in a metal sheathe. Alyth picks up the scroll giving it a quick inspection. “This insignia appears to belong to the cult of the exiled.” The group exchanges looks of confusion. Alyth adds “The cult we're trying to stop?” They all agree with tired enthusiasm.
Alyth pulls a map from the object, with a marked location -a hidden entrance to an underground chamber. Alyth examines further, “This appears to mark a location in the caves of Terra Rabidus. Ronan sighs “Gods damn it” Aria turns to Ronan, “You seem distraught by this?” Ronan answers “Terra Rabidus has some of, if not the nastiest sons of bitches that this plane has to offer. Y'know, things like Jabberwocks?”
Ronan grabs a tooth off of his hat, an extremely long incisor with serrated edges, “This is it's small tooth. I've only ever killed one.” The group, their victory tinged with anticipation, realised that the true battle against the shadows had only just begun, and larger challenges await soon.

Here's my opinion.
It legitimately makes me so pissed off when people diss 03 cus it's not accurate after a point (mind you they had to do SOMETHING because Arakawa was still making it) and that it's old news. It was so hard to watch brotherhood because it was just pushing me along and it felt soulless even if it was just trying to catch up compared to the art direction and creative liberties 03 took that made it iconic including its version of wrath that was insanely beloved by the fandom of its time (my baby boi but ngl tho changing scars was kinda 😬😬😬).
I have rose colored glasses on too but up to a point and everyone I've shown side by side comparisons say 03 handled the pacing and general atmosphere way better. Even after the recap of the old anime and I just got bored and upset. Someday I will finish but I'm still insanely slighted by the treatment 03 got after brotherhood came out as someone who grew up loving fma from being a 9 year old before brotherhood even existed and with a huge crush on Edward lol.
Accuracy can sometimes kill an adaption(look at sailor moon crystals disastrous launch), the way I see it, it's a balance that needs to be struck and now a days I'm seeing it a bit better with silent hill 2 and the success fnaf and sonic has being adapted into film.
I have wanted to say this for SOOOOO LONG and it feels SOO FUCKING GOOD to finally air my grievances. Fma 03 is beloved and precious to me.
Okay but the weirdest thing about the whole "Brotherhood is better you should skip 03" discourse that's become commonplace now, it sort of forgets the world Brotherhood came out in and why you should watch the original Fullmetal Alchemist. When Brotherhood came out, the original Fullmetal Alchemist was one of the most beloved and most watched animes of all time. Brotherhood assumes you the audience have already seen it because of course you have, everyone has seen it, so it skips important information and speeds the story up because it doesn't want to bore you with things you already know. Have you ever wondered "hey why does the first episode of Brotherhood kind of suck, and why am I being introduced to like 50 new characters, and why are they acting like I know what the hell an alchemist is?" It's because Brotherhood thinks you've seen 03.
The first 7 or so episodes of Brotherhood constitute dozens of chapters in the manga, and the first 25 or so episodes of the original Fullmetal Alchemist. The Nina Tucker episode in Brotherhood, in FMA 03 takes up nearly three episodes. Yoki gets a backstory in 03 and it's genuinely one of the best episodes and taken directly from the manga and Brotherhood glosses over it because: duh, you've already seen it. And so if you skip the original you miss out on dozens of really great character building episodes like Ed and Al meeting Hughes for the first time and getting to spend a whole episode helping him free a train from terrorists, or Ed and Roy having a duel that expands on the relationship they have, or episodes where the brothers just help out random people in towns before the major story gets going.
The original also paces itself quite a bit better than Brotherhood and is more in line with the mangas storytelling. In the manga we don't find out about The Gate until nearly two dozen chapters in, and the same goes for the original anime. Like, that's a twist reveal in those stories, and it's weird that the most watched series is the one where they tell you all about The Gate in the first two episodes because they assume you've already seen the original show.
What's more, people don't know that Hiromu Arakawa helped write for the anime while she was still in the middle of writing the manga, and as a result was inspired to write scenes in Brotherhood that the anime did first. That scene of Edward getting impaled by a falling beam? Directly inspired by a similar scene in the original anime. There's a lot of little instances of that and they're great when you can recognize parallels and things in Brotherhood that are direct references to the original anime, but people don't notice any of that anymore. Because the original anime is just an automatic skip these days, and it's a bummer because people don't realize what a giant it was back before Brotherhood was released. They treat it as *bad,* not realizing it was one of the most beloved anime of its time and the problems people take issue with have a lot more to do with personal taste than any kind of actual flaw in the writing. Brotherhood was never meant to dethrone it, and the original anime was always supposed to be part of the viewing experience which is why those first few episodes of Brotherhood are so fast paced. So like, please stop telling people Fullmetal Alchemist 2003 is a skip, or it's bad, or you don't need it because Brotherhood is better. Regardless if you think Brotherhood is better or not, the original wrote Brotherhood's check. It was huge, it was beloved, and Brotherhood is *banking* on the knowledge you've seen all of it and loved it. And trust me when I say there is so much to love about the original series. It's still my favorite branch of the FMA franchise, and it's worth your time, I promise you.

INTRODUCTION
Hey there!
My name is lion, and my zodiac sign is lion as well!
I started drawing and cosplaying a while back and I'm currently trying to improve.
I am currently testing out various supplies, ranging from acrylic paint over aquarel paint to alcoholic markers.
I'd put myself into the category of SuperWhoLock and Voltron fans, including some anime series and a few games I've played so far.
I am Bunny
I'm a design student, hobby artist and cosplayer.
My strong suit are pencil drawings and my weak spot is colouring, but I hope to improve.
I like anime, Manga and tvshows. I'm a fan of Homestuck, D. Gray-Man, Angels of Death and others.
We hope you enjoy your stay on our site!
