And the thought of Cams T-shirts crossed my mind too. He’s been working as an actor from a very young age, so one would think he has more than enough means to fund his own movie.

It's neither. It's a fellowship, so a learning opportunity. The choreographers chosen are there to take classes, not teach them, and their expenses, including lodging and a small stipend, are covered. I assume meals too. What they won't cover is the cost of flights.

Guest artists, dance presenters, curators, and other professionals in the field will meet and speak with the Hicks Choreographers, and their dancers, to share insights and career advice. This truly dance-immersive experience includes living onsite, researching in the Jacob's Pillow Archives, viewing dance exhibitions, seeing Festival companies perform, and attending artist and scholar-led talks. Throughout the program, Hicks Choreographers strengthen their individual artistic points of view and acquire an influential network important for a choreographic career.

As for Cam, he did fund the movie himself. Most short films cost up to $30,000 to make and he used earnings from the comic cons and t-shirt sales to finance it. I think people are thrown by the idea of the t-shirt sales being part of the fundraising efforts, but they shouldn't.

It would be no different from any other celebrity doing Cameos or selling their old clothes on Depop and then putting that money toward something discretionary, like self-publishing a book. There's no charitable donation from anyone, fans included, involved in the making of Foxbody. It's all money Cam earned.

Zam is kill on sight, and he knows it. He does it nonetheless.

Despite the blindfold, which makes it impossible for him to see, Mane looks directly at him. Perhaps he is guided by the vibrations of the wooden path. There is a sword in his right palm, but his left is empty. It's not like he needed to use a shield to kill.

Mane walks forward until there are only a few steps between them. Hesitating, Zam looks up too openly. He knows he can escape; he always could, but the situation still makes him feel very weak.

Their relationship has always been very strange. Previously, Mane had taken care of him with some impossible pedantry and attentiveness, but even now, when he became the enemy of Blindfold Bandits, he continued to call him his friend, provided help in small things, and, as it seemed to Zam, stubbornly, never tried to actually kill him. He didn't hunt him; he played with him, as if there wasn't an ounce of seriousness in it, and let him go alive again and again. And Mane is not Mapicc, Zam did not understand him on an atomic level; they did not have four seasons together, and in the end remained just as incomprehensible. He used to be able to read every player around. He was lost when this pattern disappeared.

Mane doesn't look at him. The strongest warrior of this world, a ruthless hunter, and now – a killer. The rain is drumming on the wooden path.

Mane takes another step, two, three closer, until there is no more than a meter between them. Something makes Zam stay put. Mane digs into his inventory, and Zam melancholically wonders if he is collecting a battlekit, and then Mane takes out the object he was looking for and hands it to him.

This is the heart. Not someone else's, not magical, not a star, not a small black hole, and not even human either. This is the one's of Mane's hearts. The Lionsheart. Literally.

And Zam... hesitates. He stares at the heart held out to him and then looks back at Main's face. Mane is not smiling.

– Are you sure? – he asks, caught in the sacredness of the moment. Mane nods silently. He thinks for a while before accepting the gift. – Thank you.

Mane nods. He takes out his communicator and types a message.

ManePear whispers to you: 'till next time, prince.

Zam smiles.

– See you later, Mane.

Okay, first off, now I'm imagining the family portrait/photo: Cue in his suit, Saphonite in his suit of armor, Karl in his white lab coat and colored goggles, and Alex: an 80s amalgamation that definitely includes bits and pieces of the other three somehow.

So, as I'm looking through fashion trends in the 80s, I'm thinking it might be a bit easier to create a few friends for Alex through a certain style, then add a flower or plant symbolism to them. Like, yah, she's got a pack of construction workers, but she's got to make friends her own age at some point.

Also, as kids their clothes are all going to look more like kids clothes than the specific styles we might base them on, but by the time they are all 14, I'm sure they've grown into it.

80s skater fashion: cut-off denim shorts, striped shirts, minimal skate shoes, backwards caps, denim vests, and colored trousers.

80s preppy fashion: layering a turtle neck with an open shirt and cardigan, either worn regularly or wrapped around the waist, a pair of light colored slacks, and boat shoes or sneakers. Common colors were pastel and neutral shades, but could go darker too.

80s goth fashion: make up and hair, the bigger the better. Layering lots of black, leather, and a mixture of textures (Trad Goth). Chunky boats.

80s punk fashion: studded leather jacket, ripped jeans, band t-shirts, and heavy-duty boots.

80s kid fashion in general: loose-fitting denim, layers of bright shades, daring hats, and comfy shoes. Ruffled skirts with ankle-high socks and an off the shoulder shirt.

Borage - aka starflower, meaning bluntness and abruptness. Maybe skater kid?

Bluebell - looks like a teachers skirt if you ask me, means loyalty, consistency, humility, and gratitude.

Buttercup - meaning sarcasm, ingratitude, childishness, riches, memories of childhood. Maybe punk or goth?

Coltsfoot - meaning Justice shall be done. Very yellow and spiky. Punk kid?

Dahlia - elegance, dignity, abundance, and instability. Preppy kid with a slightly unstable home life?

Dandelion - overcoming hardship, faithfulness, happiness. Skater kid again?

Fennel - merit, strength, worthy of all praise. Skater or punk?

Goldenrod - encouragement and be cautious. Goth? Supportive but the most cautious out of the group?

Hollyhock - ambition and fruitfulness. Preppy kid? Ambitious and joins like, Every Club.

Larkspur - levity, lightness, haughtiness, an open heart. Skater or preppy? Maybe?

Lionsheart- bravery. Skater or punk?

Periwinkle- early and sincere friendship, tender recollection. For whoever Alex meets first.

Ragged-robin - wit. Could be any of them.

Speedwell - travel, kindness, protection, loyalty. Skater, with the traveling.

Wallflower- changeless affection. Goth?

Wolfsbane - chivalry and knight-errantry, not for the other kids but given to Nite?

honoring the memory of Steve Grimmet (Aug 19th, 1959 - Aug 15th, 2022)

In tribute to the memory of Grim Reaper / Onslaught lead vocalist Steve Grimmett, who suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on August 15th, 2022.

Steve Grimmett was born on the 19th of August 1959 in Swindon, England

Years active 1978–present

Career: Grimmett began his career in the era of new wave of British heavy metal. His original band was the short-lived Medusa, before he became known as the lead vocalist for Grim Reaper. He also briefly sang as a onetime guest with the band Chateaux on their "Chained and Desperate" album.

Grimmett later featured in Onslaught for a brief period, before forming Lionsheart and in more recent times, The Steve Grimmett Band and GrimmStine.

Grim Reaper achieved major success worldwide with three highly acclaimed studio albums along with single releases and MTV airplay.

After Grim Reaper came a brief spell with Onslaught, with a debut single that charted in the U.K.

The Steve Grimmett Band is a more recent project, with Grimmett backed by Ian Nash, Chaz Grimaldi and Pete Newdeck.

This band has continued to gig as Steve Grimmett's Grim Reaper with a lineup now featuring Mark Rumble on drums.

Grimmett had just come back from the U.S. promoting his international band GrimmStine which includes Grimmett on vocals, Steve Stine on guitar, Hat on bass and Dave Johnson on drums. Their self-titled debut album was released in 2008.

Grimmett recorded a music video in conjunction with a commercial for Garmin that aired during the 2007 Super Bowl XLI.

In January 2017, Grimmett was hospitalized in Ecuador due to an aggressive infection on his right leg below the knee, where it was amputated in the process.He remained stationed in the medical facility until being released in February.

In April, he began to walk again with a prosthetic metal leg attached.On the 14th of July of that same year, Grimmett performed on stage for the first time since his operation in a wheelchair at Bang Your Head!!!

He's been active with his various bands and projects ever since. R.I.P. Steve Grimmett you will be greatly missed! Gone but never forgotten!

It does seem kind of weird. I'd think airplane tickets are the type of thing you could charge into a credit card and maybe forget about it for a while if it's a expense you really need but can't afford from savings? From what I know, artistic projects do rely at least partially on crowfunding (i.e. lionhearts) + I think in general a lot of young people live beyond their means and in a lot of debt. I thought she came from a well-off family which was why she chose to pursue dance professionally and that, because she has worked on famous projects, she had established herself at least comfortably. I'd personally wouldn't feel comfortable giving/donating money (nor asking for it) to someone who... doesn't really have a need for it, from what she has shared online but I'd have paid for a Cam shirt so there's that. I see my own hypocrisy lol

Well, Cam's t-shirts are a little different. He wasn't asking for money as a donation. He co-created a line of shirts with a company that doesn't mass produce them, but rather makes them to order. And, he had to pay an artist for their work and time. The money generated from those sales went partially to pay for the cost of producing the shirts, partially to the charities he chose, and then the rest, which he'd normally pocket, he put toward his film. But, that's essentially the same thing—it's him taking his earnings and funneling them into the expense of his choosing, in this case the making of his own film.

He didn't outright ask fans to donate money to Foxbody in exchange for zero in return. It was a transaction at the end of the day. It's also the reason people who bought Lionsheart t-shirts can't write off the cost of those shirts as a charitable donation, in case that's something they wanted to do.

(I think my explanation just got very long-winded, but yeah, I'd charge the travel expenses if I was Madison and worry about them later.) In the grand scheme of things, it's not all that much money to shell out either way.
