The Zimwi

Context: this is a story I always intended for Halloween. It follows the past of Queen Janna and how the folklore of the zimwi begun. Janna’s healer, Kamari has been very off putting. Janna notices that she always sees animals go into the tree but they never come out. Once her Mjuzi goes missing, Janna investigates and discovers that Kamari has been attempting to create new life using the tree’s healing properties to fuse animals together by injuring them and healing them. This creates the Zimwi. A bit inspired by frankenstein lol happy Halloween

Unfortunately went to the dark side and used the symmetry tool but I wanted to get this done 😭

Am I the only one who thought the lion guard finale was very unsatisfying?

like why would Simba even let Vitani lead a guard in the first place??

did he think Kion was dead or something??

also I personally hate Rani and she feels like a bad rushed romance interest; I also don’t acknowledge the ship in any of my fanfics I’ve made for the franchise, at least in a good way

Still thinking about that one Lion Guard episode that lives entirely in my head about how the core 5 characters met to become friends, and has lived in my head rent free for nearly a decade now..... I'm totally not hung up over it.

#the lion guard #kion #fuli #beshte #ono #bunga #c'mon it was right there guys!#Like in a show where one of the main themes are friendship and it was never considered to show how it all began?#We get a crap-ton of Baby™ scenes along with a whole-ass birth scene for Ono and also hyenas for some reason?#and not once a flashback to idk how they all met? Bunga meeting Kion/both of them meeting Beshte/both of them racing Fuli/vibin w' Ono ect.#They had the chance to do something like that in Season 3 to show how far the characters had come to get to the end of their story #but instead... the Ono birth scene and the hyenas for some reason being the same age as Kion despite being whole-ass teens when he's a kid?#and them apparently being no different as toddlers than they are as kids/teens when it comes to being a team???#so close and yet so far #Even if they couldn't make it an episode still it would've been a good flashback #Like maybe in one of the flashbacks for Friends to the End #or maybe in the finale where the Lion Guard is about to leave their home forever and remembers how they came together there #It feels too good to not use #Forget Mufasa The Lion King or even a TLG Season 4 I want a Lion Guard prequel origin story on Disney Jr. do it no balls Disney /j #if I have to write that entire fic to heal my inner child I damn well will /hsrs #anyways goodnight

askari is literally the sweetest helping kion with his roar, season 3 is amazing. different, but amazing

true!! it's interesting how travelling to the tree of life means kion can speak to him, instead of mufasa. a very interesting route from the creators

season 3 is cool! it's not my favourite bc outlanders hyperfixation lol, but i still appreciate it a lot. it's fun how the lion guard are older, and the "stopping kion from turning evil" plot was actually cool. there's a few good characters, i particularly like: yun mibu, azaad, and the mother tiger. maybe controversial but i also enjoyed makucha's comeback as well as chuluun and ora! and mama bintourong kinda reminds me of mapleshade from warriors for some reason lol. some fun new species! :)

it's very different, and i think that's what's good about it. the peace in the pridelands IS restored. we get to see beyond what we ever have before of the lion king/guard world. the start of the season is perfect for opening up this season's storyline; i think the creators did a great job with it overall. and of course i love the return of old characters, never would have expected jasiri and janja to be how the lion guard returns to the pridelands but i love it. the banter between janja and azaad? the peace between janja and the lion guard with him resting on beshte's back? kion learning that there's more than just the roar? the returning home montage? awesome. and also mzingo, i really love the fact he helps

so yeah! there's my ramble lmao. i don't focus that much on season 3, but it's really cool and almost refreshing to see new landscapes and characters :D

out of all the outlanders, who do you think struggles with depression the most?

Interesting question! I feel like it’d be a tie between Ushari and Kiburi. Ushari due to all the mistreatment and Kiburi headcanon-wise since he lost his father. Neither of them really show it to others, although their friends DEFINITELY think they’re hiding something. They just can’t tell what it is
