I'm glad you liked the HuaLian relationship while reading TGCF, but I'm curious, were you into any other ships while reading or did you not like any side pairings? Don't want to be That Guy but there's some discourse about it and I'm curious where you stand, lol.

feng xin and mu qing are like two halves of the same entity but comedic potential aside i cannot imagine looking at how they interact and being like omg they'd make such a cute couple! bc if they ever dated they'd probably make it like two days before having a huge public fight and proceeding to not speak for months until xie lian forces them to make up and say sorry.

beefleaf/shuangxuan have a super interesting relationship but i think turning it into a romance undermines the complexity of their respective feelings & is necessarily out of character for at least he xuan, considering he had a whole ass fiancée who died a horrible death for the sake of shi qingxuan's happiness

idk if people ship qi rong with anyone but it probably sucks

cannot care about the token lesbian ships w ling wen and some female character she's never talked to, if you asked her out she'd probably be like do i look like i have time for that & go back to her 2784 unfinished administrative tasks. i can't even ot3 her with pei ming & shi wudu bc that would mean giving the 'wahh she slept her way to the top' crowd a leg to stand on and that's an even greater crime than her being 5'11" and single.

the audacity of shipping pei ming with anyone when he would rather bite his own arm off than enter a committed relationship.

pei ming x yushi huang as anything but him having a pathetic crush while she continues to be unaware & unbothered is a crime against humanity but xuan ji x yushi huang is.... somehow worse like at least pei ming is polite to her... miss yushi huang you don't need these losers please call me i'm free on weekends i would treat you RIGHT

i don't think yin yu and quan yizhen is a winning combo yin yu doesn't respect quan yizhen and finds his personality frustrating and quan yizhen doesn't understand yin yu at all

it has come to my attention that some people ship xie lian and jun wu. these people have problems in their life and cannot be trusted.

actually ling wen x jian lan supremacy the scene where jian lan accuses ling wen of being her baby daddy is one of the funniest scenes in that arc and jian lan could be the hot secretary ling wen never knew she needed
