I really had fun with this! I decided to include some of the progress stages, too.

I know not this character, nor their lore, but I do know one thing and that thing is the fact that they've appeared to have woken up in the woods, chained to the ground, hands tied to their tail, with the earth working against them, too. They're dazed and scratched up, hopefully someone comes to help them soon.

I forgot the little inner toe on their one foot so oops. I really liked that one outfit in the references so I chose that one here. I went a bit overboard with the scars, but they're fun to draw and I felt the red looked good in highlighting their eyes, much like the green of the clothes is contrasting.

I hope I did them justice and I hope you like it!!!

A little tribute to my fave Akielon gang 🥰

I want to thank @linecrosser​ for being so lovely and letting me take some inspiration from your own Damen and Nikandros’ design. Check out linecrosser’s marvellous artwork here!

My little head canon is that the Akielon Royalty, the upper class and military generals all have their hairs styled in some form of a side shave/ undercut. I though it’d be cool that when we first meet Damen, he’d just got his hair almost completely shaved by Adrastus before being shipped off to Vere, in a half-attempt to keep his identity hidden.

As his hair grew longer with time, it would make sense for it to be trimmed and styled the Veretian way.

I also wanted to highlight a line from the book that mentions the Veretian hairstyle, basically implying that there are different trends for both Akielos and Vere:

‘Damen was wearing Veretian clothes.....Even his hair had been cut in the Veretian style.

He saw the man see all of that first, and then he saw the man see him.’

This scene never fails to give me chills. For Nikandros, seeing Damen again but styled so vastly different to his usual appearance must’ve added to the surreality of the moment.

And as for Laurent. I keep imagining his reaction to seeing Damen for the first time after the Charcy incident, now in full Akielon gear and radiating all his kingly power and authority. Probably a mix of pride? approval? anger? hornyness? sadness? thrill? Guess we’ll never know 👀

While in the middle of a campaign in Delfeur with his older brother, the Crown Prince of Vere, Laurent goes into his first (late) heat at age 17 (totally triggered by the presence of Damen, the stupidly handsome Crown Prince of Akeilos). There are very few things more dangerous than having an Omega in heat while camping in enemy territory, and it's too late now for suppressants. Leaving Laurent to ride out the heat on his own would mean leaving it last for three days or more. Auguste has no option but to help Laurent through it by himself, so it will last no longer than a couple hours.

He watched. Even though the struts immobilized his head. They said he was vicious, and that he could wait so calm was unnerving. He must know where he was headed. Where had all that fight gone?

The bounty hunter didn't know: Shiro didn't need to move, or speak, or even breathe to speak to Black. So they were already hotly pursued by four furious Voltron lions. Soon they'd see for themselves.
