LIMITLESS- 2011 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Eddie, an aspiring writer, tries a new drug that allows him to make the most of his cognitive abilities. A business tycoon, along with a few assassins, takes notice of his genius and trouble follows.

I'd guzzle so many of those pills. I find this extremely easy to rewatch and enjoy. It's not very taxing and it's fun watching Eddie's rise.

Saw this in the cinema, really enjoyed it HOWEVER, I did feel it was a bit lazy, everything is absolutely chaotic and gory but I dunno I could poke a few holes in it, it didn’t matter that I could but I just felt the story was a touch lacking.

Limitless had a lot of really great scenes, but this one is my favorite.

Not only is this scene over the top fun, but I also love the transition between Lindy hiding and taking the pill. At first the shots are tight and cramped. Claustrophobic. The camera is showing she's out of options. The colors are saturated a dull blue so that the environment kind of washes together. But after taking the pill the shots become wide and open, even using extremely wide lenses that capture her entire surroundings. Even during the chase the shots remain wide. And the colors become bright and vibrant, showing that she is taking in everything. It's also interesting that this takes place on a skating rink because later Lindy will regret the cold rational attitude the pill gave her, which literally happened on top of ice.

limitless and minority report have in common the fact that they both received brief and unsuccessful sequel tv shows in 2015 that completely fucked the entire point of the original movies purely to make stupid cop dramas

Lucy (2014) is Limitless (2011) with metaphysics. There's actually a few interesting ideas they could've expanded upon, but instead the filmmakers went for the comic book movie feel. This is a fun one to watch.
