I got to work on a beautiful Cerisedolls/Lillycat Lyse in caramel skin. The client wanted her to be a sort of femme fatale so her winged eyeliner is so sharp she could stab someone with them!

Red is done! I am so glad to have finished a doll again, I have lots of dolls still in-progress so this gives me hope I CAN finish them. I think I know who’s next, too. But first Red needs to be drawn, since he’s decided he wants to be a character as well. Never happens usually. 

So this is a Lillycat Lyse, modded to have horns, elf ears and dreaming eyes. Dyed red with black gradients, and painted with gold flowers. Took way too long.

Given that I am saving up I had this idea of selling him once I was done, but with how many hours went into him and how fond I got of the design myself, that’s no longer gonna happen :”D Sorry. I doubt people could afford him HA

She was asked by a collector who was having a hard time finding a Lyse in dark tan. Since the doll is its very hard to find Lyse on the marketplace or second hand, she’s opening up a small preorder for Lyse

Doll body has arrived! Forgot to post some pictures. The head is Lyse sculpt by Lillycat, while the body is Doll Chateau Y body. Lilltcat discontinued the lyse body by the time i found her website, so i had to hybrid. DC was the only company i could find that had the stretched out style the lyse body seemed to have, so i chose from their website. Both are grey resin, but the body is a bit more faint green tinted grey, rather than the darker dove grey the head is. I havent decided if ill just blend her neck to each colors, or if ill try to go for something as intricate as Kevin owned by @mismantisbjd, who's gorgeous lyse dolls prompted me to search for this sculpt (i realllllly love kevins coloring and designs). :3

Oh my goodness, I just had the most lovely BJD box opening, thank you, thank you to @mismantisbjd 😭💓

In addition to this special one of a kind Lillycat Lyse in Mint resin, the expected part, there was the thing my eyes fell on first. These stunning and wonderful Raouken corsets! Because whoa boy the nostalgia was real with these. I just remember being soooo very covetous of them back in 2015 when Mis got them. In a grab bag I believe? Long discontinued lines to fit dolls like Soom Rossette, Narae, and the Lunnette Lillycat SD body I believe. And oh so many of the other things she included too...like that black and white hoodie that used to belong to her doll, Verve. I feel it’s so special to have these items in my collection now, so thank you so, so much! ♥️

And then yes of course MINT LYSE herself! Wow, she’s positively luminescent, such a gorgeous resin color. This girl was from the last LDoll in 2018, and totally one of a kind. You better believe I was salivating over her back then, (and now!)

She’s incredible, I’m so happy to finally have a Lyse in my collection as well and I just love having both the old Lunnete body in addition to the newer Plum body. So classic and curvey!

Many apologies I wasn’t able to make a box opening video, it was a long day at work and I got home late. I simply had no patience left! But I’ll try to film something next week and share more about Mint Lyse with comparisons between the old and the new SD Lillycat bodies, alright?

Hakumei is finally complete 🥰🥰🥰 I'm obsessed with how she turned out and it's so satisfying to finally see her with her gf Hotoke 💕 Their lore is that Hakumei is a death goddess who fell in love with a mortal and resurrected her after her death!

Copying is not okay unless...            

Yeah, unless you’re popular or people like what you do. Cvlur is the best example of this. Her doll is clearly based off Lillycat’s Lyse (even the chubby legs seem to be based off one of Lillycat’s bodies) and I also see a weird resemblance between the arms of cvlur’s body and minifée (hands too).

It’s obvious that some artists have tried their hand at making their own Ery/Almond or whatever other sculpts cvulur has. The last of these cvlur wannabees is maddyb3ard0lls’ (come on, even the way she styled the doll & the pic resemble cvlur’s). It’s true that nothing is original anymore and 90% of artist go for the thick hip/thighs small torso thing now, but for real, it’s only okay to copy when it’s convenient to people? because now everyone is desperately seeking for cvlur dolls so anything that resembles it and is affordable is okay? and behold, those will be the next 3naibi dolls in the marketplace: highly overpriced sold by scalpers.

I bet whatever you want that cvlur will still sell to her friends (what a coincidence that none of the popular collectors like s4rqq had their order cancelled, uh??) and some ooaks for 5000$ or whatever. Oh, and let’s not forget the fact of who Cvlur was and what she did not in the past but now too. Fast to take money but months to ship for dolls that are ready? sure. Go play the victim somewhere else. Y'all can hate on me for this, and yes, I agree that artists are entitled to their art but Cvlur has done shit that isn’t okay and making nice dolls shouldn’t have ever given her a pass for it.
