Yesterday I saw Wicked

Today I had therapy

And also a mini panic attack because my car suddenly died…. But it just needed a new battery so we good now

And just now, I experienced THIS first hand

Additionally, Lily of the Valley's flower message is "Return of Happiness" and that has been Lilia's story's moral message--

At first Lilia is an orphan and doesnt have a known family but in return gained companions like Meleanor and Levan who loves and trusted him dearly that they were willing to give their child to him and believed in his capability to love

Lilia lost Maleanor and Levan suddenly but he still has unhatched Malleus who gave him a life purpose when he was feeling defeated by his worth and his dream tells us that not giving up on hatching Malleus was his happiest moment, his greatest "return of happiness"

even when he was separated by Malleus when he hatched and wasnt permitted to stay by his side a lot, he gained another happiness that is encountering Silver and deciding to raise him up

During his youth, he believed that he totally failed Maleanor and Levan's wishes (he let Maleanor get killed and Malleus almost didnt hatch and theres still no peace between humans and faes), but in the present time, albeit not on his efforts alone, he witnessed these promises from Maleanor and Levan to be realize even if they took so much time, (Malleus id living in a reality where humans and faes can possibly have understanding)

Lilia's story is always consistent with this notion that if you lose something you are bound to receive smth for your "sacrifice"/hardship, his happiness isnt just pure joy, its a payback for a hardship endured, which is very fitting for the flower message of lily of the valley (a return of happiness)

additionally lily of the valley is quite a tiny flower, this is just my interpretation but it fits with lilia's perspective as well, his happiness is equivalent to a tiny thing to be happy about (lost Maleanor and Levan and was outcasted by Briar Valley but his happiness was Malleus being able to live, Knight of Dawn was the one who killed his friend and fellow fae soldiers(?) yet he still adopted his son despite his hatred for him but his happiness lies in the fact that Silver wished for him to have a long life)

like although "his happiness is kinda miniscule" in comparison to the grief he had to go through, they are tiny but these happiness are pure and pristine just like lily of the valley blooms 😭✨✨✨

Lilia of (Briar) Valley = Lily of the Valley

Lily of the Valley is one of my fave flowers.

Lilia Vanrouge just encapsulates the meaning of the flower:

Motherhood - the love he has for Malleus and Silver, does it really need to be said? He literally went from “kids are annoying” to “I miss those day when” when he mentions the boys.

Joy and Love - the love he has for meleanor and Levan, the love it took to hatch Malleus and wake Silver, his ability to change because of it, etc.

Purity of Heart and Soul - his younger self might say otherwise, but despite it all, he gave Silver and co a chance to leave and he protected them and fed them during a time of war. When humans by all means should have been hated even if it is a dream

New Beginnings - someone who literally changed, General Lilia Vanrouge to Lilia Vanrouge (the father)

Sympathy for the Departed - His grief for meleanor and Levan, yes, but I also raise you Knight of Dawn and Princess Leia as well. ‘Fae and humans are alike. We just want to protect the ones we love.’

Life’s Purpose - In short, how he changed from General Vanrouge to Lilia Vanrouge. He has a purpose, it’s his family.

Death - if the flower is eaten, it can cause death. You know, like Lilia, with his hatchet (he wouldn’t even need it, his bare hands are enough)

back in the trenches... another book 7 rambles 😭😭

CRYING ABOUT THIS ACTUALLY.... DO YOU KNOW THE IMPLICATION OF THIS.... realistically, one of the first words of babies are referring to their mothers and the last "true parent" that held Silver was his mother, Princess Leia, but here baby Silver called out for his father, and Lilia didnt taught him that😭

Now these words might be calling out to Lilia now, but I'm also thinking since TWST is a world where babies can recall words or songs they heard even when theyre "not concious yet", I was thinking baby Silver heard this word when he was still with Dawn 😭😭😭 Imagine Dawn holding this baby and guiding him to speak his first words like "papa"... and thats like Dawn's last moment with Silver... AAAAA 😭😭😭😭

since this was still infant Silver, I was thinking this memory occured when Silver was adopted by Lilia only a week or months ago 😭✨ so its still possible that baby silver was reacting based on his past (which can potentially be baby Silver is remembering Dawn through Lilia in this scene)

AAAAAAAUAGFJWJFS 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 The fact!!!! The fact that he only took after being his father because he didnt want to deny this baby's affection !!!! LILIAAAAA 😭😭😭😭😭😭
