anon, I am so sorry and I mean this in the best way, but I do think episode 5 is the absolute funniest place to have stopped following Twst because shit starts escalating SO fast after that. episode 6 literally starts with a secret government shadow agency breaking down our doors and kidnapping students. zero to a million instantly.

and like...that's not even the zaniest thing so far? Ortho's hacked into the collective human unconscious. there's time travel (sort of). "Crowley might be Malleus' long-lost father" is a serious theory. if you'd told me any of this back pre-episode 6, I would have asked for the link to this unbelievable but highly intriguing fanfic.

also, episode 7 gave us (and then immediately took away 😔) the best character in the whole story:

still makes me ill that briarland used to be a open country like they permitted the humans to live in their land but the humans just abused that decision and now almost all faes have hesitance in getting along with humans bcs of how significantly traumatic her death was 😭💔 also maybe im reaching but maybe the time where Maleanor had to fight Knight of Dawn/Silver Owls was the only time she was alone (since its implied she was always with Levan and Lilia or staying at her castle with the other royal guards 😭✨)

also ik maleanor fought alone bcs she was really out of soldiers and having lilia escape alone while she stops the Silver Owls is beneficial for Briar Valley (bcs remember that silver owls also ravage the land they trespass so if she escapes with Lilia then the damage Briarland couldve suffered would stretch to Maleficia's castle instead of just in Wildrose castle) but STILL i do want to see her being calculating because her position in Briarland military is that she's the commander yk, maybe she knew this was a bad decision (bcs of her scene when she was being sentimental ("im a mother thats why i must conquer) to lilia when he reasoned with her) i just feel like the story couldve portrayed it a bit nuanced and not just come off as "meleanor died bcs she was too prideful" i think thats just too easy/simple for the writer to write as her cause of death lol

anyways excited for book 7 updates 😭✨✨ i know next update is about silvers dream im just too excited for maleanor's screentime akxjkskd

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.

Lilia literally solos a coven of undead cursed witches - Maiden, Mother, Crone - Crone being the most powerful stage of a Witch’s life cycle and Lilia demonstrated it so beautifully

She demonstrated her expertise even while fighting against esoteric visions - she laid those cards down and knew in seconds what she had to do. Patti was so so sooooo powerful in those final moments as Lilia - giving Agatha the final play call, giving Billy his spell book back, and telling Jen to go on because she had a future. Lilia loved being a witch, she defended being a witch with her very body and soul. That was her burden. Now she has her relief.

sorry i'm not done but how can you just drop this bombshell that malleus literally used to hate humans, that he'd refer to silver as "that thing" , that he thought lilia should've just dropped off the baby with some humans and move on with his life!!

and yet!! it was malleus who ordered the castle to have baby food delieverd to lilia's place for him, and it was malleus who'd sneak out whenever he could to come see silver and make sure lilia was taking care of him okay. and it was malleus who was so, so gentle teaching silver and sebek magic where lilia was so very crude

and after 17 years of malleus quietly loving him in his own modest way, it was ultimately the boy's tears - that thing's tears - that drove him to stop time and freeze the world over
