New au idea: Opposites Detract

I came up with this a couple years ago but I still kinda like it so here’s what it was

- Lila gets the miraculous of the ladybug instead of Marinette after her fake persona goes too far. She either doesn’t know about the miraculous at this point, or does know, but still doesn’t have all the pieces in the puzzle.

- she will get a redemption arc in this, it’s mostly the proximity of being ladybug and having people around her to make her better.

- here’s what I like most about this au though, everyone HATES ladybug in this. Like, HATES WITH A PASSION. Because she messes up at first when fighting the stone guy and makes everything so much worse, simply because she doesn’t care about the repercussions. She doesn’t do the miraculous ladybug and the damage is permanent. This causes an avalanche of hate to come upon her and chat noir (even though he didn’t really do much.) So from now on the public shits on ladybug like Spider-man. It makes it a lot harder to their job and also causes her to face what she’s done head-on.

-I remember both her and Adrien meeting Master fu very early on, mostly because he realizes his grave mistake giving her the ladybug miraculous. Adrien does not like Lila at all.

- same time she actually runs into Marinette and she’s the first person who’s kind to her after all this. A la umbrella scene. Both Lila and Adrien gain a crush on her. They fight each other like siblings it’s really funny.

- Lila’s first real friend (other than marinette) is Chloe. She feels like she doesn’t have to wear a mask around her. She kinda feeds into her horrible energy tho until she gets redeemed.

- I thought about how interesting it could be if some of the worst people got redeemed in this and everything kinda happens backwards.In fact, I think Adrien gets worse 😂 but he does learn how to stand up for himself.

All in all, it’s a pretty out of character au, but it’s a fun character study. Like, imagining all the possibilities people could change. I think Lila at first would also want to abuse her ladybug power but again, being ladybug makes her want to do better and gain redemption. She’s still a psychopath and a compulsive liar but she learns to live in society and enjoy her life without hatred fueling her every decision.

This was a fun challenge, but I bring y'all Lila as Chrysalis, inspired by the one image we're all assuming is going to be Butterfly!Lila in canon once season 6 comes around. Incorporated it into the design I did for her a while back, changed the coloring, and voila.

Miraculous movie spoilers!!

It's kinda crazy how much I like Lila right now. I loved her in the movie, she was so cool?? Like I loved her akuma ghost powers and she could travel through time too!? And she barely spoke at all and almost succeeded in making her wish in less than ten minutes after the movie started and the only reason Marinette won was because of Bunnyx. I dunno, I just loved all the sassy little movements and gestures she had like casually stealing all the miraculous and giving Marinette a little wave as she phased through the wall without saying a word... and we still don't know who the hell she is, what her motivations are, why she has a hundred moms and a thousand more different wigs, or what her wish was. So yeah... super interesting. Never thought Lila of all people would make me feel this way

My headcanons on the relationship between Lila and Nooroo:

Lila will always be different personalitys in front of Nooroo - Lila, Iris, Ceris.

In their relationship, Lila applies a tough emotional swing to Nooroo :(

In each personality, Lila will behave differently towards Nooroo:

Lila's personality: blames Nooroo for all "his" atrocities, instills in him a feeling of guilt.

Personality Ceris: convinces Nooroo that they are similar, supposedly Ladybug forced them both to become villains.

Iris Personality: Friendly with Nooroo, she interacts nicely with him.

Nooroo does not understand which of his owner's personalities is real.

Ceris's personality causes Nooroo a strong feeling of anxiety

Nooroo prefers to see his owner in the form of Iris - after all, she is very sweet and caring with him - this is what he wanted so much: a kind and sweet holder.

Nooroo understands that Iris's identity is most likely a lie, but he harbors hope that she really loves him and cares about him.

For Lila, Nooroo is nothing more than a tool to achieve her goals. She understands that he has a personality and feelings, which is why she manipulates him, but she treats him in a consumer way.

When Lila plays the role of Iris in front of Nooroo, she deliberately acts friendly towards him in order to create dissonance in him so that Nooroo does not protest.

And although Lila uses her personalities to bring down Nooroo, she believes that he is incapable of protest. She considers him a weak creature.

The phrase Lila(Ceris) at the beginning that I wrote reminds me of the conversation between Eren Yeager and Reiner at the beginning of the fourth season of AOT hahahahaha

The the thing about the Miraculous ladybug fandom is literally no one knows and understand that it is one of the shitiest and cringiest pieces of media to ever be made than us.

Like yes we know it's a kids show and it's hard to watch WE WATCH IT and every time, I have to put on a straight jacket and am forced to endure a musical number I'm reminded I could just never watch it again except that I can't stop watching it.

I am so sorry for my beloved baby Nooroo, I feel so bad for him. All kwami have found their owners - friends! They are in good hands.

Nooroo has a bad owner again! I don't see Laila as a good holder for Nooroo. I don't think, of course, that their relationship will be given much time in the series, but I have a headcanon that Lila will manipulate Nooroo and instill in him a feeling of guilt OR instill in him that Lady Bug is to blame for his fate.
