Mauga thoughts

He is a biter

He WILL bite you if you hold him down

The only one who can really keep Mauga under control after Baptiste left Talon is Doomfist

Doomfist uses violence for that (of course) (he has been bit while holding him down) (uses his gauntlet hand around Maugas head now)

Mauga refuses to let Moira experiment on him (even though she'd love to), my boy has had enough of unpermitted alterations to his body, even though he liked the changes the first time

He really doesnt get along with Reaper

Reaper is very bitter/serious/stern about the fights and Talon's mission, completely opposite of Mauga who sees it as a game and a fun way to spend his time

Reaper tells Mauga regularily that this isnt a game and that he should stop playing with dying men

Mauga is not impressed by any of reapers threats, he finds them amusing at best

#1 reaper bully, walks through him on purpose on a daily basis just cause he likes the feeling of the smoke on his skin

Sombra sympathizer

There are not many other fun people to spend time with at Talon anyways

Sombra is weary of him and pretty quickly saw through his happy and laid-back mask when she watched him in battle

But she also doesnt have many optional conversation partners at the base, so they hang out and bully Reaper together

Sombra is fascinated with how he gets his hair so nice and fluffy (the secret is the blood of your enemies)

Pranks him sometimes by putting sticky notes on his back that he cant reach because he is too buff

He can play Ukulele or at least owns one (canon)

It used to belong to Baptiste

Mauga took it from his things after he left Talon, its his only reminder of their time together

Sometimes Mauga just holds it and plays a few notes when he is reminiscing

Together with his guns one of the only things he hates people touching

Could work really well with Lucio if he wanted to

Maybe I'm writing Lucio a bit very naive here but I feel like he could be fooled by Mauga's personality (and Mauga would take full advantage of that)

Like he would bring this dude to the base á la "hey guys meet my new friend he plays ukulele and is really fun" with Mauga just grinning as everyone stares in horror

Baptiste used Mauga as a couch during their Talon times (illegal murder operations dont really provide comfortable resting places, so you make due)

Both miss it, both have no one close enough to replicate the feeling (which doesnt mean they dont try)

Mauga leans his guns on his side or the ukulele on his chest, but since everyone has enough common sense to not go anywhere near him thats all he can do

I think it would be funny if during a mission brief a very tired Sigma leans onto him (he doesnt have this famous common sense to really notice the danger radiating off Mauga) and everyone holds their breath as it happens. Against all odds Mauga doesnt say anything as he quietly enjoys it. Its not a common occurence, much to Mauga's disappointment.

Baptiste sits on the side of the couch, owns a very big pillow and the tendency to lean onto people if he gets very tired (since most people arent a 6 foot mountain of muscle  though, they dont really have the necessary strength to hold him)

Some eventually catch on and subliminally try to persuade Reinhardt to sit next to Baptiste more often. Maybe Reinhardt notices it too, but definitely not as the first lets be honest. (Reinhardt is the general couch for everyone in Overwatch who wants to, i dont make the rules)

Mauga's body needs a LOT of nutrients and protein to keep up its shape, more so with him working out on the side, so this man is constantly eating

This guy is a foodie, gets really gnarly when he's hungry and even more ruthless and unpredictable

Fish is a main food in Samoa, but since Mauga has a strong connection to the ocean and the ecosystem behind it I dont think he would eat any fish he didnt catch himself. And he doesnt trust Talon enough to verify where the fish came from. So no fish for him right now.

Is a sweettooth, there a lot of sweet samoan dishes featuring coconut milk and fresh fruit from the island

He probably often complains about the cheap quality of the fruits Talon have to offer him. They get picked too early before truly ripe or just dont seem to have the same intense flavor as an island grown fruit would have.

Can and will crack a coconut easily by hand. Or rather by teeth.

(I looked it up. You need around 610N to crack open a coconut. Humans can bite with about 1000-1400N. So its possible. Crazy.)

Being used to warm and tropical weather he struggles with any mission too far up north. He has to wear more clothing during those, limiting his mobility and effectiveness.

Probably has a hard time finding fitting clothes in general, Talon has a special seamstress just for this case. (And for Doom and Sigma too probably, they are huge)

Is a very well educated man and still keeps up with recent studies and research, especially revolving around marine biology.

He doesnt show this side of him in public, only reading when he is alone in his room.

Sigma is able to gain access to whatever books and publications he wants, nobody really double checks because they dont care or wouldnt understand anyway. So Mauga puts his desired books on Sigma's list and takes them from his lab once they arrive.

Sombra picks up on this eventually, since she spends a lot of time with Sigma. What will she do with this information? Who knows.

Sigma isnt aware of this but does wonder why there are books about non-physics topics around. Sometimes he looks at the colourful reef pictures.

He knows how vital they are for marine life and relates to them.

They look and are told to be extremely aggressive, but arent. They still are incredibly powerful and efficient killing machines though. There is a nice metaphor compared to himself here. Somewhere.

Corrects anyone badmouthing sharks and doesnt care if that feels "out of character" to bystanders

Always wanted to learn how to surf but is lacking balance and a normal body size. And since being in Talon, time. And water. Everything really, but he thinks about it sometimes.

Good swimmer, his body shape is not super helpful but he makes up for it with great strength and form

Loves to dive, not necessarily in whole gear, but he can hold his breath longer than average

Generally just enjoys being in water

Knows how to catch fish (of course)

Usually you'd catch fish with a traditional net or maybe hook and rod, but Mauga knows how to spearfish and sometimes does it to show off

If there are no current missions he helps out carrying cargo and other equipment around Talon quarters. Its something of a practical workout for him.

Not a drinker. One or two bottles of beer at most. He wants to be in full control and aware of his sorroundings at all times.

He does pretend to be more intoxicated to provoke bystanders to let their guard down.

If he truly gets wasted he is the silent type. The "stares at you uncomfortably from a corner"-type. His extroverted and noisy facade disappears, revealing the cunning and sadistic spirit inside.

AHHH >:D well there still in development but my main ones are my jaya fankids

I made them one day (okay it was the middle of the night but thats aside the point) after drawing a random detey fankid design and my brain suddenly compelled me to design ninjago fankids

I headcanon Jay as trans and while I'm down for t4t jaya (tbh a lot of characters I enjoy multiple contradicting hcs of, and then other characters I'm like, 'this is litterally canon to me') anyway, Jay carried and Kai was the donor. resulting in Ellie actually inheriting his elemental power!

I feel like theres not much info on how elemental powers passing down works. I think most people seem to assume that you lose your powers all at once but I like to think it's more gradual. that way previous elemental masters can mentor the new generation. I also feel like you never really fully lose that connection.

The first sign of Ellie's elemental power was when she was little and got a fever, and after recovering despite her insistence she felt fine her temperature was still a little high. It had genuinely not occurred to Jay and Nya that that was a possibility.

I think Wyldfyre and her are close. weather Wyldfyre is her aunt or cousin is unclear. I feel like while it can be fun with found family to be like 'they are siblings your honor' sometimes theres something special about leaving familial titles out of found family. like just, there are family, the specific relation is as irrelevant as the lack of genetic relation to that fact. not to diss on the whole 'they are siblings your honor' thing both are fun. I just think the later is kinda underrated.

Kai obviously is as great an uncle as he is a big brother. that really goes without saying. Ellie is a very much the type of kid to call herself rebellious despite not really being a rebel, you know she'd do stuff like cut all the fingers off her gloves and come up with made up slang to add to her vocabulary. she very much yearns for independence and has an adventurous streak. I like to think that Kai more or less raised Nya, so I imagine Nya talking to Kai all like 'yeah I don't want to like, baby her too much, but I really worry about her, and- why are you looking at me like that?' as it finally dawns on her that Kai has experience with those issues because he had to raise her.

Jay's parents are probably such CLASSIC grandparents. like they are so prepared for grandparenthood. they'd be so good at it.

Jay would be a really nerdy dad. you know like, he values a good dvd collection. god I guess dvds arent much of a thing in the modern age but that is a crisis for another time. anyway. Ellie ended up enjoying shonen anime the most. the ninjargon on her shirt translates to 'nyaruto' btw

Anyway Jay named her Ellie with the idea that it's a name with options. like she could go by Eliose, or El, or Lee, or Eliot, he wanted his kid to have options to customize their name to their liking.

After I drew this gremlin child I was like; well she needs a sibling. cause I think Nya would want for her child to have a sibling and furthermore I think Jay would want to adopt a kid.

lastly I also thinking about how much I love the finders and interspecies families and thus it clicked

So I decided to give her a little brother who's a merlopian serpentine! I really love benthomaar and it is important to me that he remained good friends with the ninja so I imagine maybe Jay brought up wanting to adopt to him sense he's adopted and Bentho was like 'omg yes you should!' I don't have the details worked out yet but seeing as our two examples of adopted children in ninjago is 'left at doorstep' and 'found being attacked by eels and was promptly saved' I don't think I need to put too much real world logic into it. that being the fact that Bentho being a lost child seems to not be treated as abnormal just the part where he was adopted into royalty maybe abandoned children are more abundant in merlopia. putting aside that 'abondoned children' and 'abundant' shouldnt belong in a sentence together and this whole thing is certainly a train of thought.

the important part is that I wanted to little snake. I wanted to draw little serpentine fella. that's the important part her. Nya wanted to name him after Benthomarr but meanwhile Unagami (who I love to think of as a little brother of sorts to jay) was all like 'teehee you should name a kid after me :3c' so they compramised and named him Unamaar.

he's a widdle guy :D he's on the shy side but mischievous when he wants to be. He very much likes to tag along with Ellie who is happy to drag him along into whatever shenanigans she's up to.

maybe as he grows up he can have a crisis over feeling obligated to carry on either of his parents legacy via the expectation that one of them will pass on their elemental powers to him but we can deal with that angst later! for now I drew a small cute snake character that would make a great plushie!!!

IRRELEVENT I just wanted to have fun designing a hybrid character and think up some finders family headcanons!

for being two random side characters that lack scenes I care a lot about Spitz and Fritz. They remind me of season 1 Lloyd in the sense where it's just 'so this is why people call kids 'ankle biters'. these kids would bite your ankles. Also I think Bonzle deserves another little sibling that WONT bite her ankles.

speaking of Libbie is agender, they figured this out once when Bonzle technically being trans (assigned zero gender at creation. identifies female) came up and Libbie was like 'why would you CHOOSE to have a gender?' to which she was like 'cause I wanted one??? do you not want one??? you do not need one by the way. you can throw it away if you'd like' 'Yes please :D'

sibling dynamic is that Bonzle and the twins take turns being shoulder devils and angels respectively. Libbie got wise tho and frequently will go along with one's shenanigans for the purpose of pulling the rug on them.

Geo and Cole are of course 10/10 parents but we all already knew that.

lastly once I designed MiniPix 7 to be extra adorable

and she was actually TOO adorable so I had to give her an upgrade

alternative to Seven another name option could be 'Pixie' but I kinda like Seven. also cause Zane and Pixel definitely would just name their kid Seven and just go with that.

this was another one that was just design based. I wanted to draw a cute fairy robot. What more is there to say? parenting would probably be a bigger ordeal to Pixel then Zane. like Zane will be emotional about it but Pixel will be like 'ah........ ..... . what do I do???? how does one parent?????? what??????'

While she gave Seven a name in the first place because she recognized a uniqueness from the other minipix she has mixed feelings on the realization that the little bot she made to build cars faster turned out to be a full person with thoughts and feelings and shit. she kinda had a whole thing where she realized that she's a full individual person with thoughts and feelings and shit and despite herself and Zane it hadn't fully dawned on her that she could also make a full person with thoughts and feelings and shit.

anyway Seven is a cheerful fellow! she's good friends with Unagami. she's big on picking up new hobbies. she's kind of stupidly good at everything she tries. like that one meme where it's like 'can you show me how to make an origami crane?" and the person builds like a machine crane and is like 'aww i didn't do it right :(' she's super friendly but has a very hard time wrapping her head around the complexities of social scenarios and human kind. like she doesnt understand saying something you don't mean. or what the point of treating someone with anything but kindness is.

MUCH happier indoors, not a fan of the elements or weather or foraging.

Is Lorwolf fun?

i think it is! its obviously still very new so its a little rough around the edges in some areas but im really enjoying it so far

id say its much more focused on the breeding mechanic than the collecting one kind of similar to flight rising in that you cant really just go get wolves but you breed and buy them from other users (and theres wild wolves but those are rare (WHICH i like personally)). i also really like that theres a built in option to sell your wolves for stud so other users can breed them with their own. theres a BIG colour wheel and some nice coat types and breeds so far IMO theyre all a little samey but they arent like. identical which is good

the daily tasks imo are very fun. short and simple but theyre endless so you can just log in do as many as you want and leave. theres a like weekly event that you get "tickets" from doing the tasks in addition to earning currency which i think is cool. the events are tied to the minigames (fishing mining farming etc.). you can also earn a decent amount of the currency from them because theyre so quick you can do a lot IMO

the minigames are fun! i like the fishing and cooking best so far. i think the ones that have different levels you can unlock are a bit highly leveled (level 12 for fishing and mining before u unlock the next level) but its just the same sort of thing in a different area so i cant complain too much, just personally i would like to see it a bit different. i really like the cooking mechanic and i like that theres so many ways you can get food, and that you can discover and unlock more complex recipes. cant wait until they add more and i can play around with it :]

the campaign so far is REALLY fun. youre like exploring fighting enemies finding food etc. but theres also the actual "lore" and stories and NPCs and stuff that i think is really interesting so far and where it finishes up (theyre not complete so its short at the moment) im definitely interested in seeing more. ive done 2 of the 4 so far and theyre similar in mechanics (go fight x enemies/go find y number of items/etc.) but i think its fun. theres also a gauntlet where you just fight as high a level as you can go and get better rewards based on how far you can go AND theres a PVP option? but i havent done either of those

i havent gotten much into the apparel yet but some of its really fun AND i really like that you can do custom apparel. it seems kind of expensive to be able to make it in the first place which is understandable but a shame, but ive seen soem very interesting and creative things! i would like to dive into it a bit more once i have a bit more money but its all premium currency which i dont have much of yet

that ^ is one complaint i do have a lot of things on site are put behind premium currency while its VERY hard to get. there are ways to get it without paying for it such as selling things and custom apparel etc. and you can also "make" it with items you find but its very slow that way. i assume once the site economy stablises a bit more itll be a bit easier to come across but for now its not the best

you can also have companions little pets for your wolves. cute. you can play with them and they can fight with you in the campaign and you level them up and stuff as well. very fun

um thats about all ican really think to say so far... personally i am enjoying it! it scratches a similar itch that flight rising does while also having or expanding on features that ive seen a lot of people wish fr had over the years. plus theyre cute little puppys aw awwwwww

I really hate what the kinda like “dark souls bro” type people have done to like the average persons perception of fromsoft and of the games. Cause so many criticisms people have of the games arent actually problems in the actual games theyre based entirely off of how asshole elitist fans say is the “correct” way to play the games.

Contrary to what these people say, fromsoft actually doesnt hate the player, and they arent trying to make games that are just uber hard and unfair. I dont wanna get into the whole difficulty settings debate but like theres tons of things in the games that can make them easier. You can summon little dudes to help you out, you can summon real life dudes to help you out, you can get super powerful spells and weapons, most of the hardest bosses are optional. And there are some bullshit unfair things in the games, but most of the times its actually just cause fromsoft messed up and made something that way too unfair, not cause that was the intention.

Also there was one post that was talking about how you should be able to pause games (i agree) and they mentioned dark souls cause they knew some assholes were probably gonna say some stupid shit. But just to give fromsoft some credit, the reason you cant pause is cause the games are meant to be played online. And you just cant pause online games. And of course they could maybe add a pause feature if youre playing offline but you can also just log out if you want. And i saw someone saying that logging out resets progress but it doesnt. It saves your exact location and it even takes aggro off of you and resets enemy positions so you can safely log back in. The only thing it resets is that it will move you out of a boss room and reset the bosses health. But it does put you right outside the fog wall so you can fight the boss right away. And i understand why thats annoying but the intending way of fighting bosses is to die over and over while you slowly learn the fight so like youre gonna be restarting the fight multiple times anyway.

Also just wanna say that sekiro isnt multiplayer and they do let you pause whenever you want

I saw a post one time about how people should stop talking about the difficulty stuff and instead should be talking about like colourblindness settings and settings for photosensitive people and stuff and i think that was a good post.

But anyway yeah like the games arent perfect but i just dont want people thinking that the devs are being assholes on purpose just people some shitty fans have skewed their perception of the games because (especially with elden ring) it really does seem like the devs are doing their best to add things within the games for people to use to make it easier for themselves so that more people can enjoy the games.

In keeping with these articles original goals, I'll be providing you with a list that I think is well-functioning in spite of Ezel not being meta. Though advance notice: this deck is incredibly flexible! You can use cards like teithfalt, turnarr, diorruing, even cadagun and cairbre! This is just the list that I enjoy the most. But before that, let's establish what Ezel can do!

With a ride-phase skill to keep the board full, and the ability to go for 5 attacks on turn 3 going second, this deck's explosive flames can definitely burn away the opponent if they arent prepared!

Quite honestly, pretty much every card in this deck matters a lot so picking just a few is tough, but I think the top stars are Athaltus, Sajess and Dindrane!

[AUTO](RC):When this unit attacks, if you have a vanguard with "Ezel" in its card name, perform one of the following. •Choose up to one of your vanguards, and it gets "[CONT](VC):All of your front row rear-guards get [Power]+5000." until end of turn. If you chose it, put this unit on the bottom of the deck at the end of that battle. •Choose one of your back row rear-guards with only «Gold Paladin» for its clan, and return it to hand at the end of that battle.

This is the promo that Ezel got recently and while it isnt Harb levels of insane, it certainly helps! By gathering multiple together, you can get +20k or even +25k to your whole front row! Considering using that skill also puts him back to deck, you're likely to find multiple off of Ezel's skill. His 2nd option isnt to be underestimated either, if he's one of your last attackers/removing him from the board isnt worth it, you can recycle a Silver Fang or Dindrane's CC for next turn!

Now onto Keters FesColle face, Sajess!

While this cards scry skill is less useful than in Hexaorb because you're shuffling on-attack with Ezel, his ability to fuel soul and surpass defensives is still indispensable in this deck, as most players will aim for those in order to exhaust you, but Sajess won't let that happen!

Finally, Ezel's RR slot from Set 11, Dindrane!

If Ezel, Athaltus and Sajess bring the power, Dindrane brings the juice! Her ability to countercharge, combined with her stand effect keeps the deck running and she is by Far the piece you want to avoid being gand-sniped the most, so play smart with copies of her in your hand! You can use Athaltus to preserve her after her 2nd boost as well, getting maximum value!

Now onto some of the more contentious choices, Keter OT, no Teithfalt and maybe running the Blaster Rideline?

As seen in my Bastion article, the Blaster rideline (Wingal, Marron, Blaster Dark specifically) can be a worthwhile investment if you dont like how Ezel gets kneecapped going 2nd. In a similar vein, Teithfalt can address your weak-ish rear problem and the Red OT could make more powerful attacks.

However! I have reasons against all of these that have led me to my current choice. Firstly, while BD offers more balance, Beaumains and his superior ride skill is just too cool for me to give up! I love blasting g1s with Ezel's columns, especially using his order and SIlver Fang together to generate some real burst power for really cheap!

As for Teithfalt, the breaking point for me is she can't work with Ezel, or when called by the order that you want to use to activate her! Yes she's a big attacker, and that can't be disputed, but I like being able to use all that I can of the units in my deck, and Teithfalt just isnt quite there.

Lastly, the choice of Armartinoa (or in my IRL case, the WO Keter OT). Keter OT helps Ezel rejuvenate hand while also making Every rear threatening, especially since you like to aim for at least 1 sajess post-ezel skill, meaning you have 3 drives on your rears combined with sajess's ability to get over defensives with a cb.

Overall, while I would love it if this deck got stronger in the yet-to-be-revealed set 14, this deck still feels incredibly fun and explosive, and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

In terms of how high level damage Is "balanced" (it isnt)... well okay so Id say there are 4/4.5 tiers of building in complicated TTRPGs like this. To be clear, all are equally valid, and all can be just as fun, etc etc. Also, im talking purely about big damage builds, which tbh in my opinion are usually the least interesting powerful builds in pathfinder, but if I start talking about other high level, optimized pf builds I will never stop, so Ill stick to damage. And Im putting a readmore because even Without getting started on the really fun builds like creating a feedback loop of infinite actions, I'm about to be Very autistic.

1st tier is someone who really does not have any system mastery, usually someone just starting out. Theyre mostly gonna pick options that sound fun and arent too complicated. When they level up, theyre gonna look through the most accessible options and pick whatever sounds cool or interesting. I cant actually put any good numbers on this tier just because Ive never had many players in this tier, and even when i have, i like helping players build more mechanically complicated characters that give them more options in play.

2nd tier is someone who mostly knows what theyre doing. They dont have any particular urge to optimize and dont go through every possible option, but they have a specific build in mind and mostly find good options. At higher levels in a normal campaign, in my experience, these guys (if built primarily for damage) tend to average ~120 damage per round against enemies at around their CR, give or take a bit depending on how theyre doing it/whether theyre built for reliability or are more well rounded, etc.

3rd tier is where I tend to build at, and where most of my players end up. This is players who have either a near encyclopedic knowledge of the options, or enjoy going through the prd for hours at a time to find the best options available. At high levels, again allowing for some variation based on other choices, these guys tend to average ~250-300ish damage per round, with the far end getting up to ~500ish (and if you allow mythic abilities, you can basically double or triple those numbers). This is where you need either all of (the combat focused members of) the party to be somewhere around the same level of optimized, or need a good gm, because it isnt fun for anyone if one player (speaking from experience as this used to be me) is dominating combat because the others just cant keep up. But if the entire party is at this level of optimization? Imo thats where pathfinder really shines. Being able to out extremely dangerous combat puzzles in front of a group of characters that are all well designed machines, who have a very good knowledge of what they can do and how to do it...thats why I stick with pathfinder 1e even though my group has come to the conclusion that a solid 15% of the game was written by giving particularly vicious chimpanzees access to typewriters.

4th tier is when you are no longer building to play the character, you are building in the hopes of raising the character high enough to catch a glimpse of the gods. This is where you get mages who can go all out and deal a quarter million damage in 1 round or a slayer who can sneak attack someone 20 times in a round. These are the characters that I have dreams about, praying that at some point in some campaign, Ill find a way to actually use them.

The weird 4.5 tier is cheating because its not really focused on damage specifically, but I want to give it an honorable mention anyways. This is the same as 4th tier, but instead of building specifically for big damage, youre building for something very specific instead, with damage as your metric for how well youve pulled it off. This is the tier where you see a weird ability and go "hmmmmmm" while grinning evilly. Examples here include stuff like "how much damage can i average in a round using nothing but magic missile (~360 iirc)" or "how many attacks can I give this summoner in one round? (~25 or ~50, depending on how stricly you interpret a specific ability.)" Some of these ones Are actually playable without wrecking a campaign, but like, itd be Really weird.

Also I lied because 5th tier exists and its the ones on My List, where you find something very poorly designed or not thought out and discover that making your character into a demigod only requires 11 levels in a specifc class and a friend willing to cast a random spell on you a few hundred times.

How i'd do a clone high reboot/second season.

I would not set it in 2020s and there's three reasons for it. First and the smallest one, that setting jump is huge. The changes are drastic and jarring and its really not needed. Sevond, there arent strong signifyers for the current decade. Things move too fast and you cant pin specific lasting traits until you have hindsight. Any joke made will be dated by the time it airs. And 2020 teen stereotypes have been done to death. Third, any political comedy would benefit from a degree of separation.

I wouldn't keep it in the 90s. The 90s at this point is so far removed and so attached to recent aesthetics and tropes I think it would be better to push forward. I'd set it early to mid 2010s. It gives separation from current politics and a solid frame while still leaving room for relevant issues to be brought up. It wasn't that long ago but there's a significant safety gap.

Onto plot things, I think it's important to discuss Abe first. He's the most central character in the original. I don't like the bashing angle the pilot used. I love to hate Abe, but it's not fun to watch him fumble around and whine in the background.

His life revolves around his two best friends and cleo. One friend is out of the picture but I'll get to next. The other is moving on and I think that's important. And cleo would never let the shit he pulled slide. So he's more or less alone episode one. Joan does still talk to him, but she's carving our space for herself and isn't going to coddle him. Abe has to reorient him self (and by extension the show) in a way where he can function without his friends and relationships as crutches. And he has to form a conclusion that works even if it's not the right one (not the right one being both more in character and better for jokes).

On to Ghandi. He is integral to the comedic pace of the show and also one of the best characters. I'm not going to go into ways to replace him or work around his absence. The way I'd deal with him, ignoring possible corporate decisions on his inclusion, is this:

if I put hum in the first episode I wouldn't acknowledge any differences at all, just have him be called by a comedians name and identify as that person with no other changes. Not going that route though, I wouldn't have him in the first episode beyond showing him still frozen. If we dealt with him immediately the episode would be overcrowded. Episode one needs to reestablish cleo, jfk, Joan, and Abe while also setting up new characters in the new setting. Instead he'd be found in episode two, determined by shadowy figures to be a clone of a comedian, and upon being dethawed he just goes with it. The name ghandi is never mentioned. When he meets back up with his friends he stops them from saying hi by emphasizing his name and they're like, may wierd, but they also go with it without question.

Option two also allows for ghandi to explore his new identity for the first time in a much more lighthearted way than Abe and Joan. It gives him a base interaction with shadowy figures that can lead to plot lines later. And it meas you can bring back cleo not knowing his name because he changed it.

Speaking of cleo, her lack of popularity would come from her no longer being part of any school organizations (she used to be cheer captain and dtudent body presdent). But she will regain her power and subjects, she's just not sure how yet.

Joan does get along with the current popular kids, who are on student council and also in various student activist groups. She gets the chance to thrive in episode one. Later on there will be drama and backstabbing but for now she finally feels like she belongs. Also, look wise her style is viewed as sort of retro grunge chic and kind of cool. She enjoys the compliments at first but they bother her later on.

Jfk follows Joan. He doesn't really care about the environment but he's certainly interested in the sustainability of Joan's pants. And gay people are cool, he has gay dad's. He's not gay tho (admiring other dudes' thighs is a totally normal straight activity). I actually think I'd give him an adoptive sibling this time around. Both because it'd be good for him and to vibe him non Joan and popularity centered plot lines.

I'd keep joanfk going strong throughout the reboot. I'm a strong believer in active relationships being more compelling than will they won't they shenanigans.

I think that's all the main characters. Scudworth and mister buttlertron would proceed as normal. I didn't particularly like the new shadowy figure overseer, she didn't show off anything other than being blandly intimidating and lizard. I like the og shadowy figure. He was fun and had good vibes with scudworth. I'd deffs bring him back.

As for smaller characters: van gogh should get a hot bitch Era. Maybe assisted by Marie currie who has always existed on one. It could be part of a ghandi subplot.

very flattered by this <3333 very much going to be talking from my own experiences here and as always when i give advice my word is NOT gospel so if you'd rather do something else than what i say then that's totally fine if anything i ENCOURAGE that. as lame as it is 'be yourself' is the worst best advice you'll ever get, otherwise you'll get stuck with people who aren't like-minded at all and it can be really suffocating (this is always what i have the biggest issue with bc i have a habit of just catering my personality to whoever im with, so none of my friends ever feel like they get me if that makes sense. so yes i objectively have a good number of friends and several functioning friendship groups that i enjoy, but at no point do i ever feel like ive taken the mask off, yk?)

so yes, unfortunately all of what i have to tell you is going to have the underlying assumption that you're taking 'be yourself' to heart. i mean it. one friend that knows you as some cringe online loser that likes anime is so so much better than twenty friends that think you're hot shit.

specifically for a college environment:

push yourself! ive said this kind of thing before, but i dont mean 'wake up an extrovert one day'. i understand it's hard and scary and social anxiety/neurodivergence is a thing, but teenagers arent actually stupid! they want to see you trying more than anything else. if you act a hermit who doesn't leave their room ever or go to any social functions and then gets upset when no one magically befriends them, then that was always going to happen. but if you try and reach out, try and make small talk whenever you're in shared spaces, try and be in group chats, try and put the effort in, then even if you dont succeed or you think you did a bad job, other people will still recognise the effort. genuinely it goes such a long way. of course the more things you do actively partake in, the easier it'll all get for you, but i dont want you to make yourself uncomfortable or wind up hating college altogether. push yourself, but dont beat yourself up if you need a time out every now and then

join societies! i actually didn't do this (unless you count women in finance which... i do not count) but i always kept this option in the back of my mind for if i couldnt make any friends on my course OR any friends in my accommodation. it's a sure-fire way of meeting people AND you can cater it to ensure they're similar to you by following your interests. also idk about other places but in the uk, societies arrange social nights amongst their club, so you go out to events and bars and move nights and shit together and you can create an entire social scene just through your society

don't give up. this is cringe but also true. i have two main friendship groups at university: my coursemates and the [insert their accom's name here] lot. you might notice i didnt say my flatmates and that's because my second friendship group, the one im in the most and am now living with next year btw!!, met me in a really random way. it started out with me sticking with 'the flatmate i dont like' as she's come to be named, who befriended our neighbour in the accom over from ours, who met these other two girls (flatmates with each other) at a social night I DIDNT GO TO, and now me, my neighbour and those two girls are super close and i practically lived at their accom all through first year. but i wasn't friends with those two girls until MONTHS into university, and as you can see, it was really random when it did happen. friendships are like that! if my mate hadn't gone to tequila night just for the tequila to run out and them all to go to the same afters by PURE CHANCE, then i wouldn't know two of my closest uni friends! how mental is that!

remember that everyone is in the same boat. idc how confident or hot some of these people are, i am telling you as a FACT of life that they are pure shitting themselves thinking they aren't going to make friends at uni. this is why it's key to be brave in the first few weeks before people start finding their feet. take advantage of their insecurity! the girl ive just spent three nights with in my uni city literally adopted me after an induction lecture we both had for economics because she came up to me and TO MY FACE went 'hey you seem really nice and i dont know anyone, can i stay with you?' and she's now one of my favourite people. not once did i go 'hey that's kind of a ballsy/weird thing to say' because i was too busy being RELIEVED that someone had come up to me, bc sure enough i was in my own mental spiral of 'shit shit shit i dont know anyone fuck what the fuck'. like genuinely just reach out to people OR latch onto the people that reach out to you. i remember one time i went to a freshers fair ON MY OWN and i was really embarrassed by that fact bc most people go with their flatmates or SOMEONE and i was on my own, so i literally just started talking to the girl next to me on the bus because she was on her own too. we did the entire freshers fair together and i never spoke to her again, but we totally used each other in that moment and there's literally nothing saying we couldn't have clicked and become the best of friends. you're all as pathetic as each other in those first few weeks, remember that.

My little kirlia loves to have tea in a garden, so I've been thinking of planting some flowers around a little table outside, I'm not very good at it myself though, and do tend to be forgetful. Any recommendations on easy to care, yet pretty flowers? Do any flowers/plants have special effects on Pokemon that I should be concern/excited about?

ok, so we had a little chat about the weather you get, and I now know you have cold-ish climates, but a good bit of sun, so this is what I can suggest for you and your dear partner, to get the most out of your garden without too much work.  SO, first things first, Grasses. They come in so many shapes and forms, all different colours, heights and can often tough out even the most bitter winter. The only real work I find you have to do with ornamental grasses is at the very end of winter, cut them back to the ground, and they’ll grow back nice and lush come spring when the sun starts to shine. People cut these grasses down quickly because they see them as scruffy, but I encourage you to avoid this, as the grass itself is so important to small bug types, and feeding bird pokemon who need nesting material, grubs to eat, and generally cover from predators. plus bonus, less work for you.

Grasses can create a privacy screen too, so if you're overlooked by neighbours, or your garden is very open and gets a lot of harsh wind, then plating tall tough grasses will not only give you incredible textures, but also some well deserved cover from prying eyes or bitter winds. They also help smaller less tough plants shelter, and can help keep the other things you plant in the space safer. They naturally clump and spread, and you really don’t have to do much other than sit back and watch their beautiful seed heads blow in the wind, creating movement, sound, and giving a great depth of texture to any garden. Plus who doesn't like to see sweet little pidgey feeding on seeds?

Pampas Grass: Super tall, beautiful foliage, real winners, Extra tough plants. ^

Zebra Grass, tall, dense, beautiful stripes, easy and tough ^

for a more Tropical vibe, perhaps try some bamboo ^

 some folks are nervous about it because its fast growing and harder to control, you can stop its spread by planting in containers, OR putting bamboo into the ground, but line where you want it to grow with pond liner, a thick durable plastic, that the plant will struggle to grow through. If you plant a few in a lined trench, they'll fill that space in no time, giving you a thick wall of tough evergreen grass, that literally can be left all year round. makes for pretty foliage in cut flower mixes too.

Ok thats the backdrop laid out for you, now the fun stuff and colour! So heres some of my favs, which i know come in a range of variants.

 ^ Hardy Hibiscus, a shrub, known for their reds, whites, pinks and purples, and yellows, with lovely foliage and a mass of flowers big enough for the combee, cutifly and even butterfree to frequent. they arent overly sweet smelling but very pretty and need little care once established. You can even plant them in pots and they’d be pretty happy if you just feed them.

Hydrangea ^, known for pinks and purples, blues, and whites, their flowers (when not fed specific colouration feed) will change based on how acidic or alkali your soil is. If you want the flowers to not change colour, then get a white one (which is far prettier in my opinion haha). The white ones don’t change colour and will stay no matter your soil type. You can get special feed for them to keep them a certain colour, but its a bit of a faff and not for everyone. these plants can be delicate (see Hydrangea ‘limelight’, or ‘bluebird’) or bold and big (Hydrangea ‘big daddy’ or ‘annabelle’). Should you have a wall and some cash to splash, you can even get a climbing Hydrangea, which is quite stunning.

^ Lilac. Tough, easy to care for, and SO sweet smelling you’d think you’d died and gone to heaven. They come in whites, pinks and purples mostly, and have a robust nature you’d not expect from such a sweet smelling thing. I cannot stress how good and tough these plants are, and once established they can get incredibly aged and majestic. 

These shrubs can be controlled to be small, or left to turn to large shrubs, depending on the space you're working with. I would advise putting in your larger plants first, then slowly adding smaller bits, as the big stuff creates the frame for your garden, its like putting bones in first, to support and hold together the spaces form.

after this, its all down to small floral bits. you mentioned tropical vibes up top, so i’d say go for some greens in there too, ferns and large leaved hostas are pretty cold tolerant (hostas can also flower which is lovely), and give a real feel for depthy jungle and texture, and the more green you get, the more the flowers pop against it.

for ground cover and softer smaller plants, think hardy Geraniums, maybe some hardy shrub Fuchias, a personal fav for its fearless defiance to the cold is Erysimum, and then you have age old winners like Aquilegia, Yarrow, and Scabiosa. Do a google, check out the options and hopefully head to your local nursery to pick a few bits up. i’d suggest planting up when the ground doesn't get frost in the morning, to give your new plants the best chance. water whatever you plant into the ground thoroughly once, and only do so again should you get a particularly hot summer day. 

All the plants i’ve mentioned are tough as old boots if you make sure they're ‘Hardy’ thats the word to look on labels with anything you plan to put in. There aren't any plants that I know of that affect the Ralts line thoroughly AND fit the vibe you were gong for that we discussed, but i do know they're easily calmed by scented plants, so go to a local centre, or even public gardens and take some time to smell the flowers. If they plant it in your local park, and your pokemon enjoys it, chances are it can survive your weather and rough soil type. I find the Ralts line is very in tune with their trainers, and so if you enjoy the garden, if you like the sound of the grass in the wind, or the smell of the flowers, or buzz of combee floating by, then they'll join in and be content.

You mentioned your Kirlia likes tea? grab some mint and pop that in a pot for her, don’t put it in the ground, it goes wild and rampant. Also Chamomile is a rather hardy plant to have, and she may enjoy to learn the process of caring for and using that delicious little herby plant. It has sweet daisy flowers and does well in sunny spots or pots, and smells divine, some people even use it as an alternative for a lawn.

Pleeeeeease let me know how it goes, and if any of these names or phrases seem daunting, I am here to help, and can promise you i’ve given pretty easy starting points, and ALL of these plants can handle being in containers or in the dirt, in exposed positions, and none need rigorous feeding or care, other than the odd water, and the dead flowers trimmed off. If you get stuck message in, Gardening is kind of my vibe, and i’d hate to think you’d get a little overwhelmed. Plants move so slowly, you get a lot of time to fix issues and mistake (i know i make a lot of them haha) and they're also very forgiving, so don’t feel like you have to know a lot to get started, its a hobby that gets us outdoors, and brings great joy when the things we care for flower and give results, and we can learn from our decisions if they should fail and die.
