Damon Salvatore x Reader One Shot | Katerina’s Sabotage Part 5
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
Includes: Violence, murder, harsh language, childbirth, and blood
________________________________________________________________________________
A/N: Italicized is when characters are speaking in Bulgarian
*Bulgaria; 1490*
Katerina's screams filled the room once more as her mother encouraged her to keep going and get this child out of her. All the Petrova's were panicking, rumbling in Bulgarian until they heard a baby's cry join her mother's pants. 14-year-old Y/N grinned at her sister, who had sweat glistening her face. The younger Petrova hugged her sister who's breathing began to mellow down.
"It's a girl," their mother announced and held up the newborn in her arms.
"A girl?" Both sisters questioned, and their mother nodded.
"Please, mother . . . . let me see her," Katerina begged and held out her hand for her child.
"Woman, don't! What are you doing?" Their father cut in, and the three women snapped their heads around. Mrs. Petrova quickly stood up and gave the baby to the man.
"Let Katerina hold her at least once . . . . just once . . . . at least once," Y/N pleaded to her father, feeling bad for her older sister.
"Forget it . . . . you have disgraced this family!" her father then ran out with the buddle of blankets in his arms.
"Father, please! No, father, no! No!" Katerina screeched and tried to get up, but Y/N held her back.
"No, Katerina. It's better for her! It's better for her!" her mother yelled, and Katerina clung onto Y/N's blood-covered dress.
"No, mother, please," the young girl sobbed.
"Let her go . . . . let her go, Katerina," Y/N whispered to her sister.
"Please, Y/N . . . ."

Caroline was passed out in her bed with the humming of the tv show she was watching in the background. She then woke up with a groan and rubbed her heavy eyes. She turned around and gasped to see someone standing over her bed. "Elena?" she panicked, and Y/N tilted her to examine the blonde girl. She was so tired that the ancestor of her friend looked like her.
"Hi, Caroline," Y/N muttered, and Caroline sighed, covering her eyes in exhaustion.
"What are you doing here?" the Forbes asked with a sigh.
"My name is Y/N . . . ." Y/N walked closer to Caroline's bed, who suddenly tensed. "I was hoping you could give the Salvatore brothers a message for me," the Pierce snarled.
"What are you talking about? What message? Why do you look so much like Elena?" Caroline groaned, still thinking it was Elena and she was going insane.
"Game on," Y/N whispered before shoving a pillow into Caroline's face. The blonde screamed and began struggling under Y/N grasp on her. She tried desperately to get the pillow off her face so she could breathe but end up hitting her hand on the side of the bed. That was her last action before her body went limp. Y/N removed the pillow and looked down at the deceased girl. She shook her head at the stupidness of the people in this town and strutted out of the hospital.

*Mystic Falls, Virginia: Mystic Falls Carnival; Present Day*
As another ding rang from the bell near the arm wrestling competition, Damon chuckled as Stefan walked away from Mason Lockwood after he had just tried to beat him. "You didn't put in any effort at all," Damon commented.
"Yeah, actually, I did," Stefan whispered, and the older Salvatore raised an eyebrow.
"Come with me," the two brothers walked to a more secluded spot. "Is he-"
"No, no, no. It wasn't that kind of strength, but it was more than human if that makes sense," Stefan explained, and Damon groaned.
"What is up with that family? If they're not vampires, then what the hell are they?" Damon hissed.
"Ooh. Uh, maybe they're, uh, ninja turtles," a feminine voice came from behind them. Damon whipped around, and Stefan looked around his brother to see the younger Pierce sister.
"You're not funny," Damon spat at her, and she pouted.
"Or, no, zombies. Werewolves," she added and smiled mischievously.
"No comedic timing at all," the vampire barked, and Y/N huffed.
"Well, I'm working on it. But have you seen my dear friend Caroline? I'm looking for her," the Pierce asked, trying to look as innocent as possible.
"Since when do you know Caroline? Let alone be all buddy-buddy," Damon sniggered, and Y/N rolled her eyes.
"Look, I know you're bitter, Damon, because I snapped your neck but get over yourself. I don't love you anymore. So just shut up and point the way to Caroline. I need to make sure she drinks human blood," she replied, and both Salvatore's eyes popped out of their sockets.
"What?" Stefan hissed, and the Pierce glanced at them.
"Did you not know? I visited barbie in the hospital. She did not want to die," with Y/N rolling her eyes, she walked away with both Salvatores trying to stop her. Y/N searched for Caroline but eventually got too bored and uninterested to care. So instead, she played some carnival games.
She was in the middle of ring tose when she heard loud gasping coming from the carnival's outskirts. She glanced over her shoulder to see the blonde girl that is Caroline Forbes. The Pierce smirked and handed the vendor her cash before stuttering over to Caroline.
"Hey, friend, it's been too long!" Y/N exclaimed, and Caroline whipped around.
"Wha-what did you do to me?" she teenager cried.
"I turned you," Y/N said, and Caroline looked even more freaked out. "Okay, well, technically, you have to drink blood to turn, but that'll be easy. But! Based on the fact that I can't hear your heart! Oh, Caroline! You did it! I'm so proud of you!" the vampire jumped up and down.
"What am I?" Caroline sobbed.
"Here. Let me show you. Come on," Y/N latched onto the Forbes's hand and forced her to a picnic table where a man sat. Caroline grunted from hearing the blood being pumped through the man's body. The girls then noticed his nose was bleeding, and Y/N sneered.
"Can I help you two?" The man asked, and Y/N walked up to him.
"Don't scream and don't move a muscle," she compelled, and the man froze in place, his eyes wide. Y/N turned around and nudged Caroline. "Go on, blondie."
"No, no, I can't-" Y/N cut her off with a groan.
"Fine. I have to show you everything, I guess," the Pierce complained and went back to the man. She tilted his head to the side and, without hesitation, sunk her teeth into his neck. He didn't make a sound or even fidget. Y/N pulled away, and in seconds of Caroline seeing the blood, she jumped and began her feeding.
Less than five minutes had passed before the man died of blood loss and both Caroline and Y/N were full. Y/N was pleased while Caroline was crying her eyes to death. Damon then walked up to the two other vampires as Y/N dragged her thumb along the blood on her lip.
"He's dead. I killed him," Caroline sobbed. Damon gazed at Y/N with depressed eyes, but she showed no sign of emotion.
"We," Y/N corrected. Damon continued to stare at his past girlfriend, and she held up three fingers and mouth, "three down. Two to go." She winked at him.
It was a matter of time before the man was completely drained, and Y/N was getting ready to bury him. She was finishing up when Stefan and Elena arrived.
"Y/N! Y/N stop!" Stefan yelled.
"Oh, give it a rest, Stefan! Her switch is turned off. Do you really think she's going to listen!" Damon snapped, and Y/N stopped feeding for a minute. She knew she disappointed everyone by turning off her emotions and that everyone hated her now, but she would never imagine Damon giving up on her. He would hate her along with the others but would never lose all hope. That's not who he was. Or at least, who she remembered him as.
A nerve clicked. Y/N stood up slowly. Hopped off the picnic table. Ground her teeth together as tightly as she could without it being noticeable. And walked away without a single word. The man's blood still surrounding her mouth.
~:*:~
She couldn't stop her desperate sobbing and choking on cries. She also wanted to stand and head to a hotel, but she remained sitting alone in the woods. She was disgusted with herself. She killed an innocent girl for sport, turned her into a monster, and forced her to feed. She ruined this girl's life. Every other event in and outside the tomb was a blur except for the bad parts. She killed a teenage boy and a man. For what reason? She didn't know what. The worst part about being washed over with a tsunami of feelings was the ones she had for Damon.
He watched her do all those things! He watched her become a monster! She turned him into a demon and left him alone to figure it out. She ruined the time they had together. And she ruined their entire relationship. It was like a constant stabbing in her lifeless heart, and she couldn't stand it.
Through her screams of terror, she heard commotion going on where she and Caroline fed. With a stumble, she stood up and walked out of the woods. What she saw made her cry even more. A Bennett witch, no doubt, was glaring at Damon, who was holding his head in pain with a line of fire creeping up on him.
"Stop!" the Pierce screeched once the flames licked his black pants. Elena, who was for some reason still there, looked up from warning Bonnie. She saw Y/N run towards them with tears streaming down her face and held in a puzzled look.
"Please! Please stop! You're going to kill him! Please!" Y/N shouted to the witch, who never lost focus. Damon continued to thrash, which made Y/N sprint up to Bonnie and tackle her. She lost concentration and hit her head on the concrete, causing a groan to escape her lips. The fire immediately went out, and everyone looked over to Damon, who was struggling to get up.
"Damon," Y/N whispered and hurled herself off Bonnie to go to her lover. The Pierce went down to the ground and put Damon's face in her hands, trying to make him look at her. She kept muttering his name until his shocked eyes met hers. She let out a sob before crushing her lips onto his.
"Damon. Damon, I'm so sorry, please forgive me. Please, Damon," she pleaded, but Damon was too flustered to reply. "Say something. Damon, say something."
Once the Salvatore came back down to Earth, he saw the sparkle in Y/N eyes return even if it was covered with tears. "God, I missed you," he mumbled and reconnected their kiss. Y/N broke it and smiled, the tears still making waves down her cheeks. She placed her forehead against his and couldn't stop crying till the next morning.
A/N: This is the end of the mini-series cause I kinda lost motivation

The Great Flower Chain Making Competition
Written for the @ninjago-calendar project. The Ninja take Lloyd on a picnic and Cole teaches everyone how to make flower chains.
“He needs normalcy,” Lloyd heard Nya tell his uncle in a hushed voice. He paused outside of his uncle’s room to hear what would come next.
“But his training-” Wu started in, but Kai interrupted him.
“But nothing, Master Wu. You can’t expect him to adjust to being the Green Ninja right away without problems. He’s just a kid, so let him be one.”
There was silence for a moment and Lloyd could easily imagine Nya giving Wu her signature you’d better do as I say or else look to prove her brother’s point. He waited to hear the response, not quite sure what they were talking about, but knowing it involved him.
“I… suppose you have a point,” Wu admitted eventually, “you can do what you asked on one condition: Everyone stays nearby and return to the Bounty immediately if I contact you.”
“That’s technically two conditions,” said Nya, pointedly. Wu sighed.
“Don’t make me regret this.”
“We won’t,” Kai assured him and then the door opened before Lloyd could disappear around the corner. Nya raised an eyebrow when she saw him.
“Lloyd, were you… eavesdropping?”
“N-no,” he insisted at first, but both siblings immediately saw through his lie.
“How much did you hear, Lloyd?” Kai asked quietly. Lloyd shrugged.
“I dunno. Not much. But you guys really didn’t have to get on Wu’s case for me over training. I’m fine.” Another lie.
“Considering we literally just got you back from a group of traitorous snakes, I’d say it’d be completely understandable if you weren’t fine. And besides, it’s our duty to protect you. Even from your uncle,” Kai stated fiercely, ruffling Lloyd’s hair. Nya nodded in agreement.
“Which is why we convinced him to give everyone the day off so we can take you to do something fun!” she announced. Lloyd blinked.
“Fun?” he repeated blankly. He had to admit that doing something to get his mind off of, well, everything, sounded appealing. But there was so much to be done now that he knew he was the Green Ninja. Could he even afford a day off? Lloyd wasn’t sure how all this destined savior business worked.
“That’s right! We’re going on a picnic!”
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Lloyd questioned, not sharing Nya’s enthusiasm, “I mean, the Serpentine probably want revenge for what happened at the fire temple.”
“Sure it is. We’ll just have to be careful,” Nya assured him at the same time as Kai insisted, “We only have good ideas!”
They rolled their eyes at each other, but neither backed down.
“We’re not taking no for an answer, Lloyd. Fresh air is good for shrimps like you,” Kai continued, giving Lloyd a smile. Lloyd knew he was probably right, though he didn’t know much about fresh air. Darkley’s had always been kind of stuffy.
Nya looked at him expectantly. He bit his lip.
“Fine. But if anything goes wrong, I’m telling Pythor to eat you first,” Lloyd relented. A few hours away couldn’t do any harm.
_________________________
“I think we’re almost there,” Cole announced. Lloyd could just make out the clearing up ahead. After gathering the rest of the ninja and packing lunch, which had been a hectic affair, the group had set out to find the perfect picnic spot. Cole claimed to “know a place” and the others had eagerly followed his lead. Lloyd had never been on a picnic before, so he wasn’t really sure what they were looking for, but hopefully it would all make sense sooner or later.
“Awesome,” Nya said, running her hands together enthusiastically.
“Yeah,” Kai agreed, sounding less excited, “what did you put in this thing, Zane? My arms are starting to get tired.”
“Oh, just the picnic essentials.” Zane called over his shoulder. Kai held the picnic basket in front of him, giving it a distaste glare.
“You sure you didn’t pack the kitchen sink?”
The nindroid deigned not to reply and Kai continued to mutter complaints as they continued down the trail. Deciding to have mercy on Kai after a few minutes (he was a little tired of the complaining), Lloyd asked,
“Want me to take it for a sec?”
“I don’t think that’ll be necessary,” Cole cut in, “we’re here.”
“Thank goodness,” Kai declared, staggering forward to set the basket down on a tree stump. Lloyd rolled his eyes at his dramatics before wandering off to explore while Nya and Jay spread out the ginormous picnic blanket they had stolen from Wu.
He found a stream not far from where Kai had left the picnic basket. Sitting down amongst the reeds, Lloyd watched the water ripple and swirl. He could see tiny minnows swimming in and out of the shadows. What other creatures might be lurking nearby?
Maybe after they ate, Kai would be interested in helping him find out. There could be water snakes, turtles, or maybe even frogs! Frogs liked marshy areas – didn’t they?
Lloyd could just imagine the look on Jay’s face when he and Kai brought back the biggest, slimiest frog they could find. He giggled maniacally as he skipped a stone across the stream. It bounced a few times before sinking with a soft plunk. The minnows scattered. Lloyd sighed happily, watching them.
There was something so peaceful about this place. About the way the gentle breeze tickled the flowers that covered the meadow. Maybe he should pick some for Nya. Girls liked flowers, didn’t they? There hadn’t been many girls at Darkleys.
Of course, there was always the possibility that she was allergic to flowers. After all, Nya had once told him that she had a perfume allergy. He should probably ask Kai about that before he went and picked too many flowers for her…
“Lloyd! It’s time for lunch.”
Someone called, interrupting his thoughts. Plans for pestering his honorary siblings would have to wait. Lloyd sidled over to the picnic blanket and plopped down next to Kai, who handed him a plate.
“So, Cole. How did you know about this place?” Jay inquired as he set out the sandwich supplies. Cole smiled wistfully and explained,
“My parents brought me here a few times when I was a kid. We would play in the stream for hours and then Mom would teach me how to make flower chains and force Pop and I to wear them. It was really fun.”
“Aww. That sounds nice,” Nya commented. She held out a jar of peanut butter to Lloyd, who happily accepted it. He slathered some onto his bread, listening to Cole share more stories about his childhood. Lloyd wished his own parents had been around to take him on picnics and have water fights with him. But that wasn’t the way the world worked.
With a sigh, Lloyd took a bite of his sandwich. Just the right ratio of jelly to peanut butter. Perfect.
“You mentioned flower chains, right?” Jay asked through a mouthful of food. It sounded more like he was saying, “Ooh entond oor Jane’s ight?”
“Yeah?” Cole replied, raising an eyebrow. Jay swallowed before continuing.
“This might sound kinda silly, but… I’ve always wondered how people make those.”
“Oh, it’s easy!” Cole announced with a grin, “want me to teach you after we finish eating?”
“I, for one, would love to learn,” Nya stated. She took a bite of jello salad and glanced around at the others, who nodded.
“As would I,” Zane agreed serenely. Kai smirked and said,
“Sure. Why not. But I say we make it a competition.”
“A competition?” Lloyd asked curiously, his eyes widening. That sounded promising.
“Yeah! I’m thinking we each make a flower chain, and whoever has the best one wins. We can, like, have Master Wu judge them when we get back to the Bounty, or something,” Kai explained.
“That sounds kinda fun,” Nya decided, before turning to Lloyd, “whaddya think? You in?”
Lloyd shrugged noncommittally, but ultimately agreed to join in. He had nothing better to do and was awfully curious about these… flower chains, anyway. What was the point of making chains from flowers? It wasn’t like you could use such a chain to trap enemies or anything exciting. Oh, well. He knew this entire trip was just to distract him from Green Ninja stuff. So it was probably okay if there were no practical applications for flower chains that he could use to cause chaos later on.
The small boy shoved what was left of his sandwich into his mouth and chewed messily as he gazed around the meadow. There sure were a lot of flowers to choose from. He wondered how they would know which were best to use. And how long it was going to take the others to finish their food. Lloyd was starting to get bored of sitting there with nothing to do.
“All right, listen up, people. What you’re looking for is flowers with nice long stems, like this,” Cole finally announced. He held up a daffodil. “That makes it easier to weave them together. Once everyone has their supplies, meet back here, and I’ll explain the rest. Everybody ready?”
“Aye, aye, captain!” Jay said. He gave a teasing salute and trotted off across the meadow. Cole rolled his eyes as he watched him go.
“Apparently, we have started,” Zane observed with a wry smile. The others laughed.
“Yeah, I think it’s safe to say the competition has begun.” Cole agreed.
“Well? What are we waiting for?” Nya asked before nudging Lloyd, “We can’t let Jay beat us!”
She grabbed his arm and drug him off toward the opposite end of the meadow from where Jay had gone.
“Are teams even legal?” Lloyd heard Kai ask in the distance.
“I never said they weren’t.” came the response. Nya giggled and came to a stop.
“This looks like a good place to start picking flowers,” she said, bending over to examine a patch of irises. Lloyd nodded and plucked one, careful to make sure the stem was long enough to meet Cole’s standards.
“Perfect.” Nya smiled approvingly. She began gathering an armful of flowers of her own. Red, then pink, then white, then purple. The two soon had sizable clumps of irises and various other flowers they had found growing nearby. Ready for the next phase of the competition, they returned to the picnic blanket just as the others began heading back.
“Congratulations, competitors. You have completed the first challenge,” Cole stated in his best announcer voice. The rest of the group cheered with much more vigor than was truly necessary. They were all quite invested in the competition by this point.
“Now you must learn how to make flower chains from the pro himself. Watch as I demonstrate,” Cole continued. He showed them how to weave the flowers together by taking clumps of 3 and braiding them in an intricate pattern. Next, he showed them how to connect new flowers to the braid by counting several stems as a single strand while braiding.
The project had mixed results. Cole kept having to jump in to assist Kai before he could tear his flowers apart in frustration (they wouldn’t stay in place), while Jay’s weaving was so complex that even Zane couldn’t make sense of his strategy.
Nya and Lloyd were hard at work designing a pattern of colors that was extra appealing to the eye when they realized that they had neglected to collect any blue flowers. Nya nodded her head meaningfully towards Jay’s pile of flowers, which contained a variety of blue wildflowers. Lloyd grinned and swapped spots with her, giving her easy access to Jay’s stash.
“Hey, Jay- I seem to be having trouble with this part… mind helping me out?” she asked ever so innocently. Jay flashed her a smile and scooted closer to her before launching into a tirade about the art of braiding.
“Mhm. Oh, that makes sense,” Nya commented, pretending to be interested as she slipped a few of the flowers from Jay’s pile into Lloyd’s waiting hands. She continued to do this for several minutes before Jay finally caught on.
“Hey. Hey wait! You can’t do that!” he protested in frustration. Nya simply smiled.
“All is fair in love and war, Jay.”
“Yeah!” Lloyd agreed, nodding vigorously. Jay glared at him.
“Do you even know what that means?” he asked.
“Nope!” Lloyd said, happily adding a blue flower to his chain. All in all, the picnic had been way more exciting than he’d expected.

Night Owl
WARNING: SLIGHT SPOILER FOR PAST THE END OF SEASON 4!!
Summary: Shinsou has recently joined class 2-A. He’s always seemed to be a little tired, but is it your imagination or are those bags under his eyes getting darker?
Warning(s): Small use of language, that’s all!
Pairing: Shinsou Hitoshi x Reader
Genre: Fluff, honestly just fluff uwu
Word Count: 2,700+
A/N: Hello and welcome to my first bnha fic!! I’ve written quite a bit of fanfiction but this is my first time doing it on tumblr :3 Also yes, this fic is technically set in the class’s second year, and with my headcanon of Shinsou being placed into class 1-A (or I guess 2-A now) because I won’t accept it any other way. I’m also considering taking requests if anyone is interested in that (:
You puff out your cheeks, brows furrowed deep with thought. Aizawa’s droning lecture faded into the background as your focus deepened. Chin resting in your hand, you tilted your head as your eyes burned (metaphorical) holes into the back of Shinsou’s head. While you had known of him for a while because of the sports festival, you’d only begun to actually know Shinsou much more recently. Watching him during his secret-but-obvious test for the hero course was fascinating, and it was clear to your entire class that he had the potential to become a great hero. As soon as Aizawa announced that he had passed his test, your class had been persistent in persuading your teacher to add him into your class. Something must have worked, or maybe it was just by chance, but it was announced that 1-A would be receiving a new classmate the following school year.
Unsurprisingly, Shinsou fit into your class well. He seemed a bit reluctant to try to connect at first, maybe nervous to be put into such a new atmosphere, along with the pressure of now being a part of the hero course. But really, all it took was one night of you, Kaminari, and Kirishima forcing him to play a Mario Kart tournament and he settled right in. Since then, you found yourself getting along with Shinsou pretty well. It felt like the two of you shared a sort of natural connection, and you were sure he had to feel it too.
But there was a problem. A personal problem, for you really, because Shinsou was hot. And it was fine before he joined the class, really. You were simply content to occasionally see him around school, daydream from afar of running your fingers through his luscious hair while he had no idea who you were.
It was MUCH harder to innocently have those thoughts with the two of you being friends, and when he now sat in the seat directly in front of you. It was actually harder and easier; easier to get side tracked and zone out staring at him, and a lot harder when you’d miss important parts of class or, even worse, he’d almost catch you staring.
You couldn’t help but stare at him now, though. You’d seen him almost nod off in class at least three times today, and while Aizawa’s lectures could feel long winded, Shinsou didn’t seem the type to knock out in the middle of class. Something is definitely off about him today.
“Y/L/N.” You shot up straight in your chair at the sound of your name, panicked eyes meeting those of your teacher. “I hope you’re paying attention to class today, or do you find the back of Shinsou’s head to be more interesting?” Your cheeks flared with heat as the bell rang, saving you from having to give some kind of answer. Aizawa’s eyes glittered with something that you couldn’t quite read, but had you tensing up even more regardless. “There will be a quiz on all of this next week, so come prepared. You’re dismissed.”
Several of your classmates groaned about the quiz the second Aizawa left the room, and you were pretty sure Kaminari was crying. But it all faded into the background as you shoved everything on your desk into your bag, prepared to make a desperate not-quite-running fast walk out of the room when Shinsou turned his chair around and planted his hands on your desk. Ah shit, I was too slow.
“Soooo y/n,” he drawled, leaning down to rest his head on his folded arms. He blinked up at you through lidded eyes, a small lazy grin resting on his face. Oh god it should be illegal to look that good. “Is there something I can help you with?”
You willed your cheeks to not become even redder and slung your bag over your shoulder. You flashed him a wide grin, “Class can get so boring when it’s not hero stuff. And I mean, can you blame me for wondering how you get your hair to look so soft?” Shinsou’s eyebrows quirked up and his grin spread further.
He sat up in his chair with a mischievous look on his face. “What can I say? Having hair this gorgeous is a burden I must bear.”
“You poor soul, braver than Japan’s pro-heroes,” You reply, one hand on your heart and the other wiping away a fake tear. He gave a small laugh and you found yourself lost in his lovely purple eyes, eyes that took your breath away and made your heart do a flip inside your chest. But your grin slipped away as you really looked at him. Is it just me, or do the bags under his eyes seem darker than normal?
“But really Shinsou, I kinda noticed that you almost fell asleep like three times in just the last hour and, well, I was wondering if you’re doing okay?” Your hands gripped your skirt as you looked down at your feet, toeing at the leg of your desk. “I mean, I don’t want to be too intrusive or anything, but I just wanted to let you know that if- if you need anything…” You trailed off, looking back up at him.
His smile faltered and his eyes slid away from yours. He brought a hand up to run through his hair. “Ahh yeah, it really isn’t a big deal. I’m just a little tired.” He then stood up and grabbed his bag, backing away from your desk. “Anyway I should probably study for that quiz, I’ll see you around, y/n.” You blinked and Shinsou was already out of the room.
You stood there for a second, feeling lost at his sudden rush to leave. I know that I was hoping to make a quick escape before too, but I don’t understand? Why did he just leave?
You were shaken out of your stupor when a pair of hands wrapped themselves around your arm and started to tug you towards the door.
“Hellooo?? Earth to y/n? Anyone there?” Mina called as she led you out of the classroom, waving a hand in front of your face. “Or are you too busy thinking about a certain purple haired boy named Sh-”
“Mina!!” You hiss, cutting your friend off as she cackled to herself. “I will literally destroy you if you try to finish that sentence,” you say, shooting her your best pouty glare. She withdrew her hands from your arm, holding them up in front of her in surrender.
“Okay, okay! Will not mention mister hot-and-broody outside of our rooms, got it,” Mina said, giving you a mock salute. You playfully slap your hands at her as she easily dances out of your reach, laughing gleefully at your feeble attempts. “Come on though, y/n/n, what was up with you today? You must have been really zoned out for Aizawa to have called you out like that during class.” The two of you passed through the doorway to outside, heading towards the dorms.
You huff out a sigh, clasping your hands together. “I know that I probably watch him a lot more than you do, but haven’t you noticed that Shinsou has been kinda out of it this week? Like he was super into class and hung out with everyone, but now he just looks, I dunno know, exhausted? Eternally tired? I’m worried about him,” You confessed.
Mina hummed in thought, staring down the path that led towards your building. “Did you try just asking him if he was alright?”
“Yeah, I did today. He said he was fine but he was definitely lying,” you say, frustrated. “His eyes were one hundred percent more dead than they usually are. And I don’t want to seem insensitive or force it out of him, I just wish he would let me help with whatever the hell is bugging him, cause I care about him, you know?”
You look over at Mina with big, sad puppy dog eyes. “Oh y/n/n,” she coos, wrapping her arms around your shoulders and smooshing you into her as tightly as possible. “I know you’ll find a way to help him. You’re the purest, most kind soul in our entire class. Plus your looove for Mr. Purple is stronger than any- EEEEK!” Mina shrieked as you tickled her sides.
“I WARNED YOU!! ” You shouted over your shoulder, laughing as you sprinted into your class’s dorm building, Mina yelling and giving chase just a few steps behind.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You rolled over in bed, huffing out a sigh as you looked at the clock.
2:38A.M.
“Uhhhhggg,” you groan out. You’d been trying to fall asleep since eleven, but apparently your mind was set against resting. You slapped your hand over to your bedside table, grabbing your water cup, trying to take a sip but getting nothing.
“Empty? You gotta be fucking kidding me right now,” you mutter out loud to yourself. With an annoyed sigh, you roll out of bed and make your way down to the kitchen.
You step out into the common room and stop short of the kitchen, hearing a faint sound from the living room. Did someone leave the T.V. on? Tip-toeing, you head towards the living room to turn off the television, but freeze behind the couch when you notice that it’s occupied with a lump of a person under a blanket. Who the hell is asleep on the couch??
And then the lump moved.
Okay not asleep. Oh god what if they think I’m being creepy and watching them?? Gotta go gotta go gotta-
“Hey who’s there?” The muffled voice makes you stop in your tracks, and you watch the mystery person sit up and turn around.
You blink. “Shinsou. What are you doing down here still?” You ask, his face bathed in shadows from being backlit by the T.V.
“Oh, y/n/n it’s you,” he says, flopping backwards onto the couch. You make your way around the side, setting your water cup on the coffee table before collapsing down next to him. You run your gaze over his face, taking in the heavy lidded, bloodshot eyes, his messy unkempt hair.
“Have you slept at all tonight?” You ask, trying to casually probe to see how he’s doing. “Or is it a binge-shows-until-the-sun-rises kind of night?”
He huffs an amused sigh, fixing his eyes on you from his corner of the couch. “Well I didn’t really mean to be awake still, but here I am.” You flash him a sympathetic smile. “Hey, listen,” he says, becoming a little more serious. “I know that you were worried about me in class today, and it really isn’t a big deal, but the truth is, I just sort of have a tough time getting comfortable in new places.”
“Oh,” you say quietly, putting the pieces together. “So you probably haven’t been sleeping well lately since you moved into our building.”
“Yeah not really,” he admits. “And there’s something else- but it’s stupid, really.”
“I’m sure it’s not,” you assure him, scooching closer.
“No, no it is, I shouldn’t have even brought it up,” he says, shaking his head. You do a big scooch along the couch, getting even closer and start to poke him all along his side. His mouth splits into a toothy grin as he starts to try and shove your hands away.
“Shinsoouuu,” You coo, your pokes becoming incessant as he laughs and grabs for your hands to stop you. His hands find your wrists, flipping you over and pinning you on your back. You freeze, blushing furiously and blinking up at him in surprise. You become hyper aware of the way he was straddling your body, his knees on either side of your hips. His hands held down your wrists as he leaned over you, some of his hair hanging down to tickle your face, his nose a few inches away from yours. “Well that was uh, kinda fun,” you breathe.
He was completely still for a moment, seeming as surprised as you were. Then he was releasing your wrists, moving back off of you and onto the couch. “Sorry, I got caught up in the moment,” he says, running his hand through his hair and averting his eyes. Your breath caught in your throat at the sight of him. Is… is he blushing??
“It’s okay, you really don’t need to apologize,” you say, giving him a shy smile. “I didn’t mind at all.”
Shinsou looks up at that, and seems to come to a decision. “So, the stupid thing that I mentioned? I had to leave my cat at home when I first moved into the dorms, and I sleep worse without having her to cuddle every night,” he says. “I even got this like, weighted blanket thinking that it’d help? And it kind of does but not always. It doesn’t have the same feeling, you know?”
Your heart went out to him in sympathy, understanding. It must be hard having to say goodbye to his cat. “Shinsou I-”
“And I’m sort of a night owl anyways, but without Muffin I just can’t seem to sleep well.” He concludes. “So yeah, that’s it. Silly, right?”
You reach out and firmly take his hands in your own. “No, it’s not silly. It’s normal to feel sad having to leave your pet, I’m sure you really love Muffin” you say, looking down at your joined hands. “Sometimes it can take awhile to adjust. I know I was anxious during the first few weeks moving on campus, and it’s probably extra hard having to move again.” You look back up at him. “I just wish there was some way I could help.”
You start to pull away, but his grip on your hands tightens. “Maybe there is a way? For you to help?” he says hesitantly. Shinsou looks up at you through his lashes, eyes lidded, hair messy, cheeks flushed- and whatever it is he was about to ask you to do, you were already sold. If he keeps looking at me like that I might stop breathing.
“You could stay down here with me so I can fall asleep, just for tonight?” He asks quietly.
“Yes,” you breathe. “Of course I will.”
Shinsou worked his way back to where he’d laid his pillow on the couch, scooping his blanket up from the floor. He fluffed the pillow and moved to the inside of the couch, against the back cushions.
He looked back at you with a tired smile, and patted the space beside him. “Ready to sleep, kitten?”
You inhaled sharply and your heart skipped a beat, every part of your body melting at the nickname. You crawled across the cushions, settling on your side facing Shinsou. He sprawled out beside you, pulling the blanket up over your bodies. He turned onto his side, his eyes meeting yours.
“It’s been a long time since I’ve had a sleepover,” he whispered, making you smile. He shifted a little bit, and asked, “Hey y/n, can- can I hold you?”
“Yeah, sure,” you whisper back, face warming. He moves closer, sliding an arm around your waist and pulling you into him. You take a deep breath and close your eyes in bliss, enjoying the feeling of being held close by Shinsou. “You know,” you murmur to him. “I think I almost passed out at the new nickname.”
You feel the vibration of his laughter through his chest. “Are you saying I should call you that from now on, kitten?” You feel a big grin spread onto your face as you let the nickname sink into you.
“I don’t know if I’ll be able to function right if you call me that all the time,” you mumble, nuzzling into his chest. Shinsou reaches up and runs a hand through your hair.
“Special occasions only, then,” he whispers, letting his hand fall down to your waist again and fully settling in. You feel Shinsou’s breathing evening out, the tension in his body leaving as the both of you edge towards sleep. Before drifting off, you hear Shinsou murmur, “Thank you, y/n. I’m glad I have you.”
“Always, Shinsou.”
Le Démon Déchu - Chapter 2: Réponses Et Plus De Questions
Summary: The summary is kind of long so please check a previous part or my masterlist if you want to read it.
Warning(s): threat, swearing
Word Count: 6.8k+
Inspiration: Do You Know What Eternity Is? by Elderly_Worm on AO3, Great Omens (The Big One) by falsepremise on AO3, Pray For Us, Icarus series by Atalan on AO3, Demonology and the Tri-Phasic Model of Trauma: An Integrative Approach by Nnm on AO3, wasteland, baby by john1513 on AO3, Not of Us by ShesAKillerQueen98 on AO3, How to Win a Lifetime Achievement Award for Services to Television (and how not to) by GaryOldman on AO3, Doctor Who (don’t ask) and, of course, Good Omens itself
A/N: Okay I took a bit of a hiatus from writing literally anything for about five months so sorry about that but I’m back now!! That’s the main thing. Also, I’ve left high school now which is very exciting! That does mean I’ll have so much more time to write and I’m definitely going to try and use this summer to establish some kind of routine for writing so that when I start college, I won’t get too overwhelmed with both my studies and with updating my fics. That’s the plan anyway so don’t hold me to that lmao. With any luck, now I’ve actually said that it’ll have to happen. (I wrote that part of this note back in May when it was the start of the summer. It is currently September and I’m just about to finally publish this chapter and I assure you, I am cringing at my own optimism.) Sorry this took so long to post. This chapter has been in the works since May (yes, I know I’m terrible) but I actually got a lot more writing done in that time that what you just see in this chapter. All will be revealed soon. I just promise that I have been productive. Once you’ve read this chapter, you have my blessing to translate the title of this fic. Hopefully it will make sense.
I just wanted to point out something about the playlist I linked in the previous chapter. I am well aware that there are some rather problematic people in it, namely Sia. I want you all to know that I don’t support her in any way (I don’t like her at all I think she’s a complete ableist twat). Her songs are only on there because of how well they fit with the story (a lot of this will become clearer as the story goes on).
I also wanted to point out that I know that if angels do exist, then their true forms probably wouldn’t look anything like humans. I’m well aware of that, I’m not an idiot, I don’t know if any of you remember when people started googling ‘angel true form’ and some people got scared lmao. The point is, we’ve all seen the pictures. But for the purpose of this story, and honestly just to make it easier for me to describe what the characters are doing, we’re going to have to pretend that they did look like humans. Can I claim creative license with this one? Maybe it got lost in translation because there is probably no way someone could describe how an angel truly looks in any human language? I don’t know, just roll with it.I know that this chapter had so much exposition and explanation in it but I can promise you two things. One, there is still much to be revealed. Two, I promise this isn’t just bad writing on my part. Just trust that I needed to put this all in this early on.
And how is everyone doing after the season 2 announcement? I mean, at the time of writing this specific part of my notes, it only got announced about an hour ago lmao. I’m very fucking excited, oh my god. It’s all I’ve been able to think about since I found out I can’t lie. Catch me trying to finish this before it comes out in case things occur which means I have to change things in this story. I can’t be arsed for that. Oh well. Hopefully it’ll read like those Sherlock fics that people wrote in between series 2 and series 3 if that doesn’t happen.
Let’s admit, without apology, what we do to each other.
We know who our enemies are. We know.
– Richard Siken (Detail of the Fire)
************
“Fuck.”
The angel and demon exchanged glances of what could only be described as thinly veiled panic, while the woman in front of them just looked annoyed at the most.
“They couldn’t wait five minutes, could they?” she muttered, pinching at the bridge of her nose in frustration before standing up again, “Look, just stay down here, I’m gonna go sort this out. With any luck they won’t have actually realised you’re here too.”
“Wait, how do you know they’re here for you?” Crowley asked, suddenly curious as to what business Eloise might have with Heaven.
“Just a gut feeling,” she said before making her way to the spiral staircase behind them, muttering to herself, “If they were here for you, I feel like they would have at least used the front door.”
The other two waited until she’d run upstairs before exchanging a quick glance, an unspoken word, and following her up.
Meanwhile, Eloise was hovering outside a room at the end of the corridor which she could only assume was the bedroom. She was strangely hesitant, not out of fear of them, simply out of fear of the unknown. She hadn’t spoken to anyone in that room for millennia, and something told her that this wasn’t going to be a friendly chat. She took a deep breath, even though she technically didn’t need it, letting a wave of faux confidence wash over her, and stepped inside. Don’t crumble now. You’ve come too far to crumble now.
“Ah, Mariel, long time no see,” Gabriel smiled coldly, brushing the dust off his white suit. Flanked by two other angels, he stood in the wreckage of the bedroom without even acknowledging the damage they must have caused when they crashed in. Beside him were Beelzebub and Hastur, who both looked as though they had been dragged kicking and screaming to come here. Beelzebub in particular kept shooting metaphorical daggers at Gabriel, who remained perfectly oblivious. The entire ceiling had caved in from the impact of their crash, the setting sun painting the doorway where Eloise stood in a pale gold and casting a dark shadow over the others.
She’d grimaced at the use of her old name; it was too unfamiliar, too ancient. Mariel was the name of a long-dead version of herself. Once upon a time, she’d embraced it, but that was once upon a time. Once upon a time long gone.
“Almost like I’ve been avoiding you on purpose,” she muttered, leaning against the doorway as she stared intrusively at each person in the room, observing, assessing. She silently revelled in the blatant discomfort in each of their faces.
“No need to be so rude,” Gabriel said, doing anything to avoid her eyes, his previous confident façade now shattered.
Eloise stared at him in disbelief, “What exactly were you expecting? A fucking welcome party? I haven’t seen any of you in over six thousand years and you just crash through the roof of my house, unannounced and uninvited, so yeah, forgive me for being a little irritated.” She couldn’t help but feel a little bit guilty. She’d barely been in Aziraphale’s bookshop for fifteen minutes and she was already pretending she owned it.
She watched smugly as he squirmed under her gaze, desperately looking to the others to say something in response. A moment or two passed before Beelzebub’s head suddenly snapped up in confusion, “Are you alone?”
Shit. She’d hoped that they wouldn’t have noticed the presence of the two who were definitely not downstairs like she’d asked. She swallowed, trying not to let any kind of emotion show on her face, trying not to give the game up that quickly, “Yeah, I live on my own.” She watched the whole group of them squint in concentration, trying to sense any other beings in the house. She sighed, changing the subject before they could comment on it any further, “Look, what do you want? I don’t have all day so if you could make it quick then that would be much appreciated.”
Gabriel looked back at her, his suave exterior unfortunately making a return, “Hey, we just wanted to check up on you, see how you’re doing-”
“That’s bullshit and you know it,” she snapped. She pushed herself off from the doorway, stalking towards the others, “You have had six thousand years to ‘check up on me’, don’t pretend you’ve only started to care now.”
She was met with only silence as Gabriel and Beelzebub glanced at each other awkwardly, looking very much like chastised children. Suddenly the latter groaned and cried, “You can’t just leave Hell!”
“Oh, here we go,” Eloise muttered, rolling her eyes, bored already.
“You can’t! You Fell from Heaven, so you go to Hell, there isn’t a third option!”
“Well, apparently there is,” she shrugged.
“No there isn’t!” they argued, face screwed up like a petulant child.
“Then what do you call this then?” she asked, unfolding her wings for the second time that day. She studied their reactions closely, scrutinising coal-black eyes piercing through their very souls. She was searching for any hint of shock, of recognition, of anything that could clue her in as to what was going on in their heads at that moment. All she could find, however, was pure, unadulterated confusion. Which was annoying when her wings were supposed to be an answer to their unasked questions.
Gabriel stumbled over his words, “Good Lord, how did you even-”
Eloise cut him off curtly, no longer having the patience to listen to his incoherent mumbles. She instead turned to Beelzebub who at least had the decency to look a little more composed, “That would be what you could sense then. I’ve got both Heaven and Hell in me, that’s a lot of energy to pick up on.” She stared right through them, daring them to say anything else.
“Must be,” they replied slowly, though they didn’t look at all convinced.
Gabriel held up a hand, his eyes darting about as he tried to comprehend what he was seeing, “No hold on, how did you even manage that?”
“I left Hell,” Eloise said simply, “Why should I have black wings? I’m not some demon who ran away from everything. I left. Permanently. I looked Hell in the eye and walked away. You know what? Fuck it, I looked Satan in the eyes and walked away.”
“You what?” he stuttered.
“Yeah, you heard me. You have a problem with me leaving Hell then go on! Take that up with the bloody devil,” she said, staring them down, daring them to retaliate. She smirked when she was met with pure, uncomfortable silence, “Except you won’t, will you? Because you don’t actually give two fucks about me. Just like I said, if you did then you would have chased me up a long time ago. Quite frankly, I think you must have been glad to have me out of your hair,” she sighed, half sad, half amused when they couldn’t even meet her eye. She paused for a moment, wondering how far she could push this, before asking, “You know what I think is really going on here? I think the pair of you are feeling a bit bruised after the absolute shitshow that was Armageddon last year, which, by the way, fucking hilarious. I think your egos are feeling a little sore after a literal child stopped you from ending the world, so you’re thinking ‘hmm, what would be an easy win so that we don’t feel like total shit? Oh yeah, what about that demon who ran away all that time ago? That should be easy to sort out.’. Well, love to disappoint, but you’re not getting me that easily, especially when not a single one of us actually wants me back, and Sandalphon, take one more step further I swear I will dropkick you back to Heaven,” she snapped, glaring at the angel who had been menacingly inching closer while she had been talking. He reluctantly stepped back alongside Gabriel, looking a little more than miffed that his plan hadn’t worked out. “You really want me back? Get your bosses to talk to me because I don’t actually see why it’s any of your business. No middle men. Just God, Satan and me. I’ll see what they have to say about all this. Questions?” she asked, tone snapping from one extreme to another, almost as if she had just been possessed.
Gabriel stared at her, mouth gaping like a fish, “You can’t just boss us around like that.”
“What? Like how you bossed us around all those years?” she replied without missing a beat, real rage, real danger seeping into her voice now, “I think we’re done here.”
“But-”
“I said, I think we’re done here,” she said, leaving no room for arguments. She gestured to the sorry excuse for a room around them, “Now, if you wouldn’t mind cleaning this up.”
“Why can’t you do it? You can miracle things too,” Gabriel said, desperate for any kind of leverage over Eloise.
“You’re right, I could, but I didn’t make this mess, and I personally believe that you should face the consequences of your actions, Gabriel,” she said pointedly, watching as he visibly gulped. In a matter of seconds, the room was restored to its original state and Eloise was left alone in the room, no indicators that she was ever with any other people remaining.
She sighed and all but collapsed into a chair that may or may not have existed a few moments ago, confident façade shattered completely. She breathed heavily in exhaustion, as if she’d just run a marathon; she supposed she had just run a mental one. Her emotions were bugging her to no end. It was strange. She wasn’t scared, per se. There was very little that Gabriel or Beelzebub could do to her that would frighten her anymore. She tried her best to compose herself, writing off the tsunami inside her mind as just plain old adrenaline, before calling out, “You can come in now. I know you guys are outside, it’s okay, you can come in.”
Crowley and Aziraphale walked into the room, one looking considerably more sheepish than the other. Aziraphale perched awkwardly on the freshly reconstructed bed, “We’re sorry–”
“No, you’re not.”
“No, we’re not.”
Eloise and Crowley exchanged a glance, amused looks on both of their faces while Aziraphale simply looked distressed. Eloise turned back to him and smiled sympathetically, “I told you, it’s fine. I would have done the same,” she admitted, looking away before collecting herself once again, “So, I’m guessing you have a lot of questions–”
“That’s the understatement of the century,” Crowley muttered as he took a seat beside Aziraphale, although it was a very loose definition of ‘taking a seat’.
Aziraphale glared at him while Eloise just sighed and reluctantly said, “I think it might be better if I just show you.”
Crowley cocked his head in confusion, “Show us what?”
She brought her chair closer to the edge of the bed and put out her hands, “Take my hands. Brace yourselves.”
Mariel was standing before a crowd of angels, dozens upon dozens of disgusted faces staring right at her. She couldn’t quite remember getting there. She had been in the pitch-dark holding cell and the next thing she knew, she was here. Blinding white light surrounded them, harshly illuminating her vulnerabilities before all of Heaven. She tried her best to keep her chin up even though she absolutely hated the fact that they could see the bruises from when she had been arrested that were now blooming on her face. She frowned as she noticed the lack of measures preventing her from escaping. All that was keeping her there was Gabriel’s presence at her side, cold violet eyes pointedly ignoring her. He really was an arrogant bastard for assuming that she wouldn’t even try to make a run for it. Just because he was right this one time, it didn’t mean that he shouldn’t have come prepared. Mariel sighed and looked up at the angels staring down at her. Michael was sat higher than everyone in the centre of the crowd, face void of all emotion as she said, “The Principality Mariel. You’re on trial today for betraying the will of the Almighty, rebelling against all that is good and light in the universe...”
Mariel blocked the rest of her pretentious speech out as she droned on about all the awful things she’d supposedly done to deserve this. It was all lies anyway. She knew the real reason she was here. There were a few things that stood out to her despite it all, things that nearly made her laugh. She’d known that they’d needed to conjure up some reasons for condemning her, but this was just ridiculous. Gabriel really had gone to extraordinary yet desperate lengths to slander her in her final moments in this Someone-forsaken place. She was surprised that the angels gathered to watch her downfall believed a word of this. She tried her best not to resent them, though. It wasn’t like they had anything better to believe in. Especially considering the amused smirk that had crept its way onto her face.
She returns to reality just in time to hear Michael ask, “What do you have to say to defend yourself?”
“I’ve done nothing I need to defend,” she said firmly, leaving no room for argument.
“Don’t make this worse for yourself than it already is,” Gabriel muttered dangerously from where he stood beside her.
Mariel turned to look at him in disbelief. “How the fuck could this get any worse, Gabriel?” she hissed, fury flaring up in her eyes.
He just looked back at her condescendingly, “Do you really need me to answer that?”
She pointedly refused to reply, turning back to face Michael, determined to ignore him.
The next part goes past in a blur for Mariel. Michael speaks again, though she doesn’t listen. Then suddenly there are shouts of anger, screams of rage, coming from the gathered crowd. They spit with venom as they hurl insults at her. She doesn’t hear a word. It’s as though her head is under water, completely submerged in the stone cold anger that seeps through her body, and suddenly Mariel is drowning in the realisation that this is really happening, oh God this is really happening.
Why? Why is this happening to me? You listening, God? Look me in the eye and tell me why this is happening.
She doesn’t get an answer, and though she wasn’t expecting one, it still hurts. Because she knows that she’ll never get an answer from Her again now.
Eventually she feels a tug on her arm from where Gabriel has been standing, dragging her away from the crowd and out her of current state of mind. She could feel her senses coming back to her as she stumbled backwards, but everything was crashing down on her too quickly, too harshly. She did her best to shove the rising panic as deep down insider her as she could. There was no way she would let anyone here see her in that state. She couldn’t let them think they’d won.
She didn’t even realise she had reached the edge of the ground she was standing on, the edge of Heaven itself, Gabriel no longer grabbing her arm. She nearly found herself peering over the edge, but stopped herself before she could lean too far. It may have helped her in the past but now was not the time to give in to her curiosity. And she didn’t trust Gabriel to not push her the moment he had the chance. She turned her head to glare fiercely at him, piercing holes in his very soul. She could slowly feel her anxiety being replaced by cool rage as she found herself saying, “Any institution that tries to silence anyone who opposes them is inherently corrupt.” She stared knowingly at his discomfort as he forced himself to face her. He knew what she meant by that. He knew.
He took a second to compose himself before practically scoffing in her face, “Don’t preach at me.”
Mariel cocked her head as she studied him. She watched as his eyes subconsciously flicked back to the crowd, to the other Archangels. He blatantly wanted nothing more than to re-join his fellow angels, the only beings who understood why he was doing what he was doing, or were at least supposed to understand anyway. Somehow she doubted they were all as cold-hearted and self-absorbed as the angel in front of her. She considered him for a moment before saying simply, “Your quest for power will kill you in the end.”
He furrowed his brows in somewhat amused confusion, “Is that a threat?”
“No. It’s the truth,” she blinked at him before leaning in and murmuring in his ear, “It will be your downfall.”
“The only one who’s going to Fall around here is you,” he said dangerously. Mariel leaned back and watched the lethal glimmer in his eye wither and die under the intensity of her gaze.
She just smiled. “We’ll see.” She let herself look at him for a moment longer before blinking away the tears and cautiously taking a small step backwards. She could feel where the ground ended beneath her feet and was sure not to step any further. She took one last look of the place she once called home, embracing how it felt for the last time though she knew she wouldn’t miss it.
She closed her eyes for a moment and fell back.
Mariel was Falling. That bit she knew, but much more than that? Everything was happening too fast for her to notice. And yet, it was as if she was existing in slow-motion. She worried for a moment that this was, in fact, her fate; doomed to remain in a perpetual state of limbo, of Falling, for all eternity. The only thing telling her otherwise was the view of Heaven above her, which she realised only too late was slowly shrinking into nothing. Mariel found herself reaching her own arms out, grasping for Heaven. They were opposite ends of a magnet being roughly pulled away from each other by an invisible force.
You hear that God? Why me? What did I ever do to deserve this? And don’t you dare tell me it’s all part of your plan because right now, the only thing I want is to be back where I should be and I can’t even have that.
She pulled herself out of her mind and back into reality; she’d have plenty of time in Hell to yell at a God who’d never listen, let alone answer. She only just started to register her surroundings, the fact that she was actually Falling, who knows how far and for how long, tumbling through the air at an unimaginable speed, plummeting towards a place that could be anything from seconds to hours away. The deafening wind that screamed in her ears, drowning out the screams which may have been coming from her mouth or her mind, who was she to say? Air whipped around her body, icier and more painful than any words that could ever be uttered by the angels above her. It wasn’t until she could no longer see any hint of Heaven on the horizon that she started to feel the tears finally fall, trickling down her face and floating slightly due to the force of the Fall.
Then suddenly it came. She felt it in the very tips of her wings first, a strange tingling sensation, as though hundreds and then thousands of pins were skirting the edges of her corporeal being. It spread over the rest of her wings, and then her body, at a faster pace than she could keep track of until her whole being felt as though it was burning. The pain grew, and it grew, and it grew, and she didn’t think she could physically take any more pain when she looked up in horror at her own freshly blackened wings. Her beautiful, holy wings which had once been the softest, purest white, were now stained with evil and ash. For the first time since she started Falling, however long ago that might have been, she let out a choked sob that racked through her whole body and through the ever-changing air around her. Nobody heard her cries. Nobody heard her screams as the searing pain in her chest grew stronger. She couldn’t even begin to work out whether it was physical or emotional but it was there and it burned a hole, a gaping wound, through her soul, leaving a scar fated to never heal and to forever haunt her-
Eloise was crying. She’d tried so hard to prevent the steady streams that were now running down her cheeks, but that was a memory that she’d never wanted to relive. She looked upwards for a moment, trying to regain control of her emotions and her breathing, before peeling her hands away from the two sat in front of her. She roughly wiped the tears from her face, and suddenly the only thing telling you she had been crying were the bloodshot eyes that Crowley tried to ignore as he said bluntly, “I’m still confused.”
“Crowley, give her a minute,” Aziraphale chastised him, furrowing his brows at the demon before he turned back to Eloise with kind eyes and a kinder heart, “Are you alright, my dear?”
She nodded without much hesitation, “I’m fine, it’s okay.” She certainly wasn’t fine, nor was it okay, but the last thing she wanted was to have to deal with her feelings in front of two people she was trying her best not to scare off. She looked back at Crowley, eyebrows raised in curiosity.
He looked at her in understanding, for if anyone knew her thought process in that moment, it was him. “Right, so you Fell and became a demon. Then what?”
“Well, you know what Hell’s like,” she started, looking pointedly at Crowley. She waited for him to nod before continuing, “Not my scene at all. I just point-blank refused to do anything they asked of me. Naturally they didn’t like that much. Eventually I was called in to see Satan about it. I remember thinking, ‘well, that’s that then. Terrible knowing you all.’, because I didn’t think I was going to survive that. Turns out he was just annoyed that I was being a bloody nuisance to everyone else, but he was too amused to really do anything about it, so he basically just told me to piss off. Leave Hell, don’t come back, and I won’t tell anyone where you’ve gone or that you’re even alive. Not exactly a deal I could refuse, so I left, came to Earth, been here ever since. I think everyone just assumed he’d killed me,” she shrugged as if she hadn’t just destroyed the whole idea of eternal damnation with just a few sentences. She smiled to herself as they gaped at her for a moment, though she doubted they realised they were doing it.
Crowley somehow managed to gather his senses quick enough to hold up a hand and say, “Wait, but when you were talking to Gabriel and Beelzebub and that lot, you said they had six thousand years to check up on you. Why would you say that if they thought you were dead?” He narrowed his eyes at her. He wasn’t altogether quite sure why he seemed to be so keen on finding any gaps in her story, but he needed to be able to trust that she was telling the truth. Or at least that’s what he told himself.
Aziraphale’s eyes lit up with understanding. “Yes, and they didn’t exactly seem surprised to see you alive.”
Eloise grinned. You two are gonna be fun, I can tell. “You’re both very observant, I have to give you credit for that.” She paused in thought for a second before starting carefully, “You see, the trouble with me is that I’m not really one for keeping a low profile. I’m too noisy, so to speak, and I don’t even realise it most of the time. This demon I hadn’t exactly been the nicest to back in Hell saw me in Babylon, gosh, it must have been eighteen thirty something BC? Anyways, he ratted me out to Beelzebub who must have told Gabriel all about it. I had about a decade of this bloody demon trying to discorporate me just to see if it would force me to go back to Hell, then one day he just stopped, and I never saw him again. Beelzebub probably told him to piss off.”
They were both quiet again for a little while. Eloise didn’t even think to say anything. It might be a rare occasion, but she did know when to keep her mouth shut when it mattered. She could see the cogs turning in their heads as if it was projected in the air above them. Eventually Crowley murmured, “I didn’t even know you could do that, you know, leave.”
She shook her head with a strange kind of sympathy that came from recognising an experience you had far too long ago, “Neither did I. It stills shocks me sometimes if I think about it too much.”
A few seconds passed before Crowley cleared his throat abruptly and said, “They called you Mariel. I thought you said your name was Eloise.”
She hesitated before answering. She knew exactly what he was doing, she’d been doing it for the whole of their conversation thus far, but just because she tended to bury her emotions, it didn’t mean that she liked it when others did it. She decided to ignore the hypocrisy of that thought, how ironic, she thought to herself, and instead explained, “It is. Mariel was my angel name. You know how it is,” she looked pointedly at Crowley again, hoping that Aziraphale would be able to put the pieces together. She didn’t actually know how much he knew about what it was like to Fall and become a demon.
“Oh, so is Eloise your demon name?” Aziraphale asked politely.
“No,” she said curtly, instantly feeling guilty when she saw the hurt that flashed over Aziraphale’s face. She grimaced and explained in a gentler tone, “I chose it for myself when I came to Earth. Hell tried to change my name after I Fell but I just refused.” She studied him for a second, watching his eyes dart about, before saying, “You want to ask something, I can tell. What is it?”
He looked a little startled at being caught out, momentarily glancing at Crowley for support, probably subconsciously, Eloise noted with a smile. “I, well, I couldn’t help but notice that you mentioned Armageddon. Back when you were speaking with, um, well, you know. H-how did you know about that?”
“I might have been there.” The words rushed out of her mouth in a much less casual manner than what she’d been aiming for, coming out in a sort of jumbled heap that took Crowley and Aziraphale a moment to decipher.
Crowley, the poor sod, could only think to lean forward and ask a simple, “You what?”
She jumped to defend herself, wanting to avoid the onslaught of questions if she could, “Not actually at the airbase, but I was in the area. I was living in Tadfield at the time.”
Aziraphale narrowed his eyes, although the hint of a smirk on his face told her it was more in amusement than suspicion, “How did you know it was at the airbase?”
Eloise couldn’t help but chuckle to herself because of course, they’d notice her choice of words, “I knew Adam and his mates. I ran an ice cream shop, would you believe it. He came and told me all about it the day after,” she smiled fondly before suddenly coming alive with excitement, “That’s actually how I found out about you two. That’s why I’m here. Because I thought I was the only one trying to stop the world ending, but apparently I wasn’t. I had to see for myself.”
A moment passed before Aziraphale asked quietly, “You were trying to stop it?”
Eloise, not noticing the newly subdued atmosphere, launched herself into a painfully over-enthusiastic explanation, “Yeah, it was quite clever really, if I do say so myself. I made sure Adam was swapped with the American baby in the hopes that he would have a human enough upbringing to perhaps change things. Seems to have worked,” she shrugged, before finally taking in the two shocked faces that were staring back at her. Her brows furrowed and her face fell as she asked, “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“You switched the babies?” Crowley asked blankly, although it came out as more of a statement than a question.
Her face screwed up as she tried to work out how best to explain herself. “Well, I say switched, it was more of a ‘made sure the demon dropping the antichrist off went to the wrong delivery room’ kind of thing. Feel sorry for the poor sod who had to deal with that but needs must.”
Crowley blinked at her and said bluntly, “I was the poor sod who had to deal with that.”
Eloise looked at him for a moment as about five different jigsaw pieces finally clicked in her head, before she threw her head back in realisation, “Oh shit, so you were. I knew your name sounded familiar.”
“You bastard, we spent six years raising the wrong child because of you!” he exclaimed, wagging his finger at her and jumping off of the bed at one point before Aziraphale tugged him back down. Eloise didn’t know whether to laugh or run for her life, for the menace in his words was betrayed by the disbelieving laugh in his voice.
“I’m sorry, you did what now?” she asked, only just processing what he’d just said, and she couldn’t help the laugh that escaped her lips at his dramatic antics. She knew not to push it when Aziraphale just lifted a finger and pursed his lips with the look of someone who’d rather never bring up said event again.
“Oh bloody heaven, I can’t believe this,” Crowley shook his head, chuckling to himself. Although part of him resented it, he couldn’t help but look at Eloise differently now as they laughed like little kids together. Maybe it was the fact that she seemed so much more like them now, so much more human. Or maybe it was the fact that she had been trying to stop the apocalypse and all the implications that came with the fact. Suddenly he just wanted to know more about her, but he quickly silenced that thought. One thing at a time.
She raised her shoulders with a confused look on her face, giggling as she said, “Sorry? Well, I didn’t know, did I?”
They locked eyes for a moment before bursting into laughter again at the sheer absurdity of it all, leaving Aziraphale slightly bewildered and more than slightly exasperated at the pair. It took them a few moments to finally calm down but once they did, Crowley sobered his tone of voice as he asked, “Right, back to what happened before we came in. Anything we need to keep an eye out for?”
Though he didn’t say it, Eloise could see the unasked question in his eyes. Are we safe? She smiled softly, “Nah, you two’ll be fine. Basically I told them if they want to talk to me, then they need to get their bosses involved, and somehow I highly doubt God and Satan are gonna pop down for a friendly chat any time soon. Even then, you two should be fine. I don’t think any of that lot clocked on that you were here.”
Crowley nodded in understanding, and it didn’t escape Eloise’s attention how the remaining dregs of tension visibly dissipated from both of their bodies. Aziraphale and Crowley looked at each other for a moment, the relief palpable from the pair of them. Eloise averted her eyes, giving them the privacy that they didn’t necessarily need but probably did want. She allowed herself a moment to ponder their relationship. They were very in tune with each other, very in sync, that much was obvious. Are they in love? The question sounded ridiculous the moment she thought it. Of course they are, look at them. She’d seen that look time and time again over the millennia. Although when she thought about the way they looked at each other further, that lead to another question. Do they know? The hint of yearning in their eyes was subtle but it was there. No, absolutely not. They’re too comfortable with each other. They’re a unit, that much she could tell. A unit that might not want to be disturbed.
Oh dear.
She looked back up at them hesitantly, unsure of what to say for the first time that evening. Eventually she said, “I’d better go. I think I’ve outstayed my welcome.”
Crowley frowned. Hadn’t she said she’d been travelling for a while? “You got somewhere to stay?”
Eloise paused. She’d definitely not been expecting that response. “Not yet. There is a flat I was going to rent but the people haven’t moved out yet because of the lockdown and it seems rude to miracle them away. I’m sure I’ll think of something.”
“Stay here,” Crowley said almost instantly, then pulled a face of confusion at how quickly he replied, “I mean, only if you want to.”
Eloise blinked at that. Surely, they wouldn’t want her there? What reason could they possibly have to want her there? “Wait, are you sure? I wouldn’t want to intrude.”
Crowley just shrugged, “It’s not a problem. What are your options anyway? No hotels are open, and you can’t stay with anyone.”
“Only if you’re sure,” she murmured, still wary for a reason she couldn’t quite put her finger on. She glanced at Aziraphale for confirmation; it was his bookshop after all.
He nodded firmly, “Of course. I’ve been told the sofa is remarkably comfy,” he added with a twinkle in his eye, to which she grinned broadly.
A short while and a few miracles later, the sofa downstairs had become a makeshift bed that was significantly larger and softer than it had remembered it being. Eloise was currently settled on it; all it had taken was ten minutes for her to completely crash out. Aziraphale and Crowley had left her in peace with a chuckle, heading up to the bedroom they shared (that wasn’t out of choice, mind you. Simply because there was only one bedroom in the bookshop. No other reason.) One slightly confused item of furniture aside, all seemed to be well in the bookshop.
Upstairs in the bedroom, an angel and a demon were sitting in the same bed. Neither of them had thought to turn off the lights, so they were sat in thick silence in the bedroom. Aziraphale didn’t usually come up to bed, not as used to sleeping as Crowley was, instead opting to read the night away downstairs. However this seemed impolite considering their new guest, so he’d come up with Crowley. And while Crowley was mulling this over he finally stumbled upon why he felt so uneasy.
Aziraphale hadn’t brought a book up with him.
As bizarre a concern as that may seem, Crowley could always trust Aziraphale to bring a book up to bed with him on the rare occasion he came up at night. That was one of the things he lo- liked about him. Liked. He looked at Aziraphale curiously, noting the slight frown on his face as he stared into space. How deep in his head must he have been to forget a book? “You alright, angel?” he asked as softly as he could so as to not startle him.
He looked at Crowley with wide eyes that darted away almost instantly as he started to play with his hands in his lap, “Yes, my dear, I’m fine. I just realised something, is all.”
Crowley cocked his head in interest, “Oh really? What was it?”
He was silent for a little while before saying in a voice no louder than a whisper, “I think I was there when she Fell.”
Crowley felt his eyebrows raise in shock, looking away for a second to try and compose himself. “Right. Well, that’s a thing.”
“Quite.”
He furrowed his brows as he tried to make sense of what this meant now, “And was she telling the truth? Did all that actually happen?”
“Yes. I remember it perfectly well. Clear as day,” he managed to choke out with a forced smile before going back to his routine fidgeting.
Crowley laid a gentle hand on top of Aziraphale’s, stopping what he was doing and getting him to actually look him in the eye for longer than a second. “You sure you’re alright?”
“I am quite well. Don’t fret,” he said, and despite Crowley’s concern, he couldn’t pretend that the smile on Aziraphale’s face wasn’t genuine, however small it may have been.
He reluctantly let it go, changing the subject quickly, “You alright with her staying here? I know it just sort of happened.”
The smile on his face only grew, much to Crowley’s surprise, “It’s alright. After all, wasn’t it you who said we’re on our own side now? I think she’s the first person we’ve met who might understand what that means.”
Crowley tried not to think too much about the fact that Aziraphale had actually listened to him when he’d said that, let alone remembered it, instead opting for a casual, “Yeah, I suppose so. Right, I’m gonna get some sleep. I, um, yeah,” he stammered out awkwardly, cursing his brain for not thinking of literally any other decent response.
Aziraphale simply smiled fondly at him, “Indeed. Goodnight, my dear.”
*************
Hello my love,
At the time of writing this, I do not know what the future holds. For me it’s an uncertain, unstoppable force, and it’s not one I think I can fend off for much longer. I’ve tried, please believe that I’ve tried. I’ve tried for your sake to prevent the inevitable. But it’s coming. I can feel it. It won’t be long now, I don’t think.
If you’re reading this, it means I was right, and I have Fallen. I know you’re probably confused and scared and that there is a biting anger bubbling inside you. I wish I could tell you why this is happening. I wish I could tell you that this is all a huge misunderstanding that will be resolved soon.
I wish I could tell you I love you one more time.
But I can’t. There are many things I can’t do now, and it’ll do me no good to dwell on this any longer than I have to. To survive we must focus on what we can do, and that’s exactly what I’m asking you to do.
If I know myself as well as I think I do, there are many things I would have liked to have said to you upon our final farewell, but didn’t because I wanted to make sure you were alright. Don’t feel guilty about this, my love. Think of it as my last debt to you being repaid.
I have a plan. Well, it’s more of an idea, and it might not work. And it’s because of this that I shan’t tell you exactly what it is. It seems cruel to allow you to hope for something that might never come into fruition. But please put your faith in me, and in our love, for we will prevail. One way or another.
I hope that you didn’t wait to read this letter because you were scared of its contents, though I’m sure this isn’t the case. You were always brave. It was always something I loved about you. Your quiet, beautiful, roaring courage in the face of such turmoil and anguish. You always had the courage to be kind and to love with all your being, even when everything was against you. No one would have blamed you if you had turned cold and bitter, and yet you chose not to. I admire you for it every day. My idea, should it work, will require us both to be incredibly brave. But more on that another day. It’s that bravery and that strength that you will need to rely on now. That, and the thought of me. Though I may not physically be with you, but I hope that my love’s own soul is enough.
I won’t sign off this letter, because this is not where our story ends. There is much left to be written. And I need you to remember that each day we are parted. Until the next time, my love.
Terms and Conditions of Friendship {JHS}
I wish I had it in me to apologise for this disgusting smut, but I just don’t. I just... don’t. Also I wrote so much I had to split it into two halves bc tumblr hates long posts sorry
Warnings: swearing (it’s me), fuckboy!BTS, sexual tension with like all of the members, a road trip with 7 rowdy men, slight exhibitionism, teensy bit of masturbation,smallest mention of thigh riding, intentional (but not obvious) orgasm denial, Jung Hoseok being rude aF, fratboy Bangtan shenanigans as per
Summary: 13 has always been an unlucky number. Always. It’s just... written into the laws of nature at this point. So it’s no surprise that when you hit the 13th month of your - ahem - dry spell, you do the one thing you swore you’d never do.
Part 2 || Masterlist
~^*^~
Just as you think you’ve successfully made it through the hallway, a voice calls your name and you audibly sigh and turn to the owner of said voice. Jungkook has his head peering around the door from, looking at you.
“Where ya going?” He inquires.
“To the bathroom...” you trail off, hoping that he doesn’t catch on to the very obvious need in your voice.
“Why did you sneak off?”
“Because I didn’t want to interrupt you guys. Enough interrogation I need to go.”
You ignore any more words coming from his mouth, as you’re already practically sprinting to the bathroom. Fuck Min Yoongi. God, you’d like to. Why he chose on having you sit on his lap during the movie, why he had to keep flexing his fucking thigh every time he so much as shuffled, why he had to keep a grip on your waist was beyond you and now you were all riled up. Well... technically, you’d been riled up for the last nine days and you were nearing insanity. You know that it was around the time that you are ovulating, so of course your body is craving a little more than usual but... this is a lot more than usual. This is tons more than usual. And hanging out with the Bangtan Fraternity is not helping your case.
No, it never helped your case. Because all seven members are hot. Yesterday, Namjoon had appeared in the kitchen shirtless and he’s been working out for the last five months and he’s got some real nice pecs and a faint but still obvious set of abs and- you inhaled your orange juice through your nose and Taehyung had a fit. He couldn’t stop laughing and you made Namjoon smirk because that fucker knew he’d struck a cord by coming in shirtless. Way to boost his ego.
A few days before that incident, you had slept over after a party and Seokjin had been getting it on with one of the sorority girls (you think her nae was Rose or something like that) and holy shit, hearing his grunts and moans sent you into a frenzy. You’d never really had a thing for Seokjin but it was hard to face him the next morning, that’s for sure.
Right now, though, you are close to calling a male prostitute or doing something because holy shit you hadn’t had sex in thirteen whole months. Your last rendezvous had been with Jackson Wang, your then boyfriend who had promptly dumped you just two days after. Something about needing space. Clearly he needed space to fuck that stupid Taeyeon or whatever her name is. Whatever. You’re totally over it.
Except you really miss sex. You really miss sex. To the point that you’re currently on your way to the bathroom to maybe get one orgasm out of the way so that you can focus on the rest of the movie. Of course, that doesn’t happen.
“Ey, [First], hurry up, I need to pee after.”
“Hoseok, there is a bathroom upstairs.” You grit your teeth, turning your head as you near the bathroom door.
“Yeah, exactly. This one is closer. So hurry up.”
He’s in a pair of grey material shorts and a black t-shirt and somehow he looks better than models on a runway. He’s looking at you with an accusatory gaze. Why are you being so feisty?
“Wait are you going for a shit-“
“No-“ you cut him off, “I’m not!”
“Good well hurry.”
So, you slam the bathroom door shut and stand there for a moment. You stare at yourself in the mirror and mutter to yourself in an attempt to cool your ever growing body temperature. Your eyes are blown wide and there’s a rosey hue to your cheeks. You look exactly how you feel and you know at least one of the members has caught on to what’s bothering you.
As you run a hand through your hair, the door knocks.
“Come on!”
Fucking Hoseok.
You tear the door open, giving him a glare.
“You didn’t flush.” He points out with a disgusted look.
“I didn’t do anything. You put me off.” Technically it isn’t a lie. Hoseok gives you a weird look and tugs you out of the room so that he can go in. He doesn’t even shut the door properly. Disgusting.
Why are you even friends with these disgusting frat boys? You do have to wonder. Your legs are starting to shake a little. You decide to sit down in the kitchen, opting you stay away from the room full of guys for a moment. You need to catch your breath. You hear the bathroom door shut and Hoseok whistles as he makes his way back to the living room. With him gone, you could totally just go back to the bathroom...
You’re seriously debating it. It’s so tempting and Yoongi’s actions have caused a horrible burn in the pit of your stomach. Your guts are doing summersalts and your fingers are itching to relieve yourself.
You could totally-
“Oh, there you are!” A boxy grin greets you and it takes every ounce of will power to not scream.
What the hell has gotten into you? Since when were you so horned up? You seriously need to cool it.
“Yes, here I am.” You mask over the frustration in your voice and give Taehyung as much of a smile as you can.
“Everything alright?”
“Yeah, yeah...” you turn your attention to the fruit bowl, turning an apple with your index finger.
“Everything doesn’t seem alright. You jumped off of Yoongi Hyung like he was hot.”
“Yoongi is hot.” You roll your eyes.
“You know what I meant.”
“Everything’s okay, Tae, I promise.” You look back up at him and give him another smile.
He takes one proper look at your face and it takes a lot to not call you out. He knows that if you wanted help, you would definitely ask and you were obviously trying to ignore your whole situation. Your lips are bruising a little from how badly you’ve been biting them, your eyes are clouded and blown wide, your cheeks are gently flushed and so if the expanse of your chest from what he can make out of the skin peeking out of your shirt. You’re horny.
You suddenly feel as though Tae is eye-fucking you and you cross your arms over your chest, awkwardly turning away from him. Both of you have grown comfortable with one another. You usually send for Tae in your times of need (aka wanting someone to platonically cuddle with) because he has expressed no romantic interest in you. There’s no chance it could ever possible happen. So, you feel comfortable with him.
But right now, seeing only just a fraction of how you’d look being completely ruined, Tae can’t help but kind of okay really want to bend you over the counter and help you out.
He clears his throat.
“Okay well... if you say so.”
You hum in response and then turn to him again.
“The movie is kinda boring so I’m gonna chill out in here instead.” You announce, voice suddenly weak.
“Okay...” he barely manages a whisper and turns away immediately.
What the fuck was that?!
Did you just get eye-fucked by Kim Taehyung?
You slip into one of the cool bar stools and immediately there’s a burning cold running up and down your exposed legs. The plastic nips into your hot flesh and you sigh.
The clock is ticking behind you and you can barely make out the sound of people outside. There’s a good 30-40ft of distance between the frat house next door and so you don’t have to worry too much about their noise. It’s mostly quiet and the sun isn’t on this side of the house. The room is still bright, though.
Another sigh leaves your lips after a moment passes. Maybe it’s the coolness of the seat, but you’re finally feeling a little better. You definitely need to invest in finding more female friends.
~^*^~
“Psst.”
You ignore it. Just ignore it. Maybe he’ll stop.
“Pssst.”
Again, you pretend not to hear, jotting down another note.
“Pssssst!” A finger jabs into your side and you finally cave, head snapping to your right.
You come face to face with some coffee coloured orbs which are a little wide and sparkling in mischief (albeit a little regret after your angry face turns to him), he’s got mousy hair and plump-ish lips and holy shit he’s kind of cute. You don’t let your face falter, though. This is the first lecture of the year and he’s already interrupting and talking?
“Could I borrow a pen?” He whispers sheepishly, “I left my pencil case back home...”
You huff, not uttering a single word to him as you open your case and practically throw a pen at him.
“Thanks...” he whispers and now he feels bad. It was a genuine mistake, though! He got a little busy with Jimin and the PlayStation and before he knew it, he had like 20 minutes to get ready and get to class and it’s a seven minute walk from the frat house to this lecture hall so he only had 13 minutes to get ready and- he kind of left his pencil case on the kitchen counter, “...I’m Jungkook by the way.”
You don’t respond. He doesn’t say anything else until the lecture ends and he’s watching you throw things into your rucksack. It’s very cliche - and trust, he knows this - but you are the first girl who’s not melted at the look of him and he kind of likes that? He likes that you haven’t given in so easily.
“I’m sorry about all that,” he begins once people start to up and leave. You turn to him.
“It’s fine. Keep the pen.”
And you’re gone.
Jungkook spends the rest of the day thinking about you and he feels so guilty. It was the first day! How could he forget one of the two things that are going to carry him through his university. You can’t have paper without pen! Okay, that makes no sense but, he still feels really bad. So he goes out and buys this lowkey expensive pen as an apology and he’s super early the next day. He catches you outside and tugs you away from the doors.
“I hope you don’t want another pen-“ you snap at him.
“No, listen, I just wanted to apologise for yesterday. It was totally my fault and I’m sorry for making such a bad impression of myself. Here.” Jungkook has never done the whole gift-to-a-girl thing before so he just kind of thrusts you an unwrapped box. It’s a pretty pen. A muted metallic rose gold. It also comes with refills.
Oh. That was sweet. But you immediately realise how much this must’ve cost him and you decide-
“I can’t accept this, Jungkook.” You offer politely, reaching out to give it him back.
“Please, I really want you to have it. I felt awful after you looked at me like you wanted to bite my head off.” He rubs the back of his neck, unable to look at you for a moment. You ponder. This is a really sweet gesture.
“Alright,” you sigh, “but you’re not giving me a lot of choice. Thank you, Jungkook.”
“You’re welcome...” he trails off so that you can fill in your name.
“[First]. I’m [First].” You give him a smile.
Before you know where you are, you’re being pushed through the cafeteria by Jungkook and he’s screaming out “Hyung!” And then six different guys are all staring at you. Jungkook introduces you to them, sits you down next to the one called Taehyung and takes the biggest bite you’ve ever seen out of Namjoon’s sandwich. This happens for the next few days until you start to willingly accompany Jungkook.
~^*^~
Three years have passed since then and you are now sitting in their kitchen trying not to jump the bones of the next one that walks through the door.
You think about Jungkook back then. He’s always had a little bit of a baby face, but back then he was still a little lanky so it was more obvious. He had a pretty weak build. Obviously, since then, he’s been going to the gym like twice (sometimes thrice) a day because he’s earnt the nickname muscle pig. Somehow you also know that he’s gotten stronger because he can “hold an entire girl up with ease without needing any support” (it was also the worst sex he ever had, so he’d not done it since). Great. Now you’re thinking about Jungkook holding you up and-
No. No, you are not going to think about Jungkook like that. It’s bad enough you’re sitting in here avoiding the seven of them like the plague because you know that if you have to sit on Yoongi’s lap again you’ll end up riding his thigh like your life depends on it.
“Penny for your thoughts?”
Jimin’s voice rips you out of your thoughts about Yoongi’s thighs and you look up at him. He’s recently dyed his hair black and holy shit he is the epitome of sex on legs. He walks across the kitchen to grab a glass and turns to you for a minute.
“Hello? Am I talking to the wall?”
“Sorry,” you find yourself finally finding words, “bored.”
“There’s a whole Fast and Furious in the living room-“
“Yeah but it’s boring.”
“Tokyo Drift is not boring.”
“Yes it is. And the main character isn’t even hot so it’s not worth it.”
Jimin blows his teeth out at your response. Of course you wouldn’t want to watch a movie because the main character isn’t hot. He fills his glass with water and takes a swig.
“Well sorry he’s not Leonardo Di-whatever his name is.”
“First of all, rude, second of all I didn’t realise you guys missed my company so.”
“It’s nice having female company.” He wiggles his eyebrows.
“You’re disgusting, Park.”
“Not as disgusting as the girl who blatantly tried to ride Yoongi hyung’s thigh like ten minutes ago.”
He throws the words over his shoulder as he leaves the room and your face explodes in red. Shit. Okay. You need to leave right now if you want to save face. You pray to god that only Jimin saw because you cannot emotionally handle the guys making fun of you right now. You need to go home, get your vib and go to town for a couple of hours. You’ll feel better.
You almost jump off of the stool in your anticipation to leave. Part of you wants to go and say goodbye to the boys, but you know you’ll end up coerced into staying if you do. They’ll text if they worry about you.
Your feet are moving towards the front door and you pause just before you walk past the living room. The door is wide open (typical Jimin) and there is no way they won’t spot you. Round the back it is.
Who would’ve thought you of all people would be sneaking out of the frat house?
It’s not under the same circumstances as the other girls but, you’re still sneaking out and you still kind of feel like James Bond so it totally counts. The back door (as expected) is unlocked and you’re pleasantly surprised to see that the pool is actually covered. The boys have finally taken heed after two and a half years of you giving them shit for not covering it over.
You’re so close to leaving when you realise your fatal misstep in this whole mission. Your phone. It’s still on the sofa next to Yoongi. Fuck.
Maybe if you found a way to distract the guys and lure them outside, you could just rush back in and-
“What are you doing?”
The sass in the voice alerts you to who it is immediately. You literally don’t know how to answer him bevause your standing at the side of the house, looking out at the street that’s so close but so far away, nervously biting at your cuticles.
“I’m, uh, getting some fresh air.”
“Yeah, right. You can’t just leave, [First]!” Seokjin scolds and he’s pulling you back towards the back door.
“But I’m bored!” You whine.
“You let Jungkook choose the movie.”
“Yeah but he gave me his puppy eyes and an extra mini-cookie.”
The movie apparently just finished because Hoseok, Yoongi and Namjoon are standing in the kitchen. You can hear Jungkook and Jimin squabbling in the kitchen and you’re kind of a little too embarrassed to see Tae right now. None of them pay much attention to Seokjin or yourself as he scolds you for trying to leave without saying goodbye. You apologise to him before excusing yourself to grab your phone. You pass Jungkook in the hall and he grins at you.
“Hi baby,” he blows a kiss.
“Suck it, Jeon.” You playfully scowl and make your way to your precious phone.
You clutch it up and look at your notifications. Just a couple of snaps from Hyuna. Nothing out of the ordinary. Jimin is lolling on the sofa watching you. He knows he was the only member that saw what you were doing, and Yoongi probably didn’t even realise what was happening until you’d leapt from his grasp.
“[First],” he calls out.
“Hm?” You’re trying to act nonchalant.
“What the hell was that? With Yoongi Hyung.” His voice is a whisper and you draw yourself close to him.
“You don’t think anyone else saw, do you?” For a moment your mind flashes to Hoseok. God you hope Hoseok didn’t see.
It may have been pointed out by Jimin that you have a phat (with a capital PH) crush on Hoseok. Whilst that is certainly not true, it’s also not not true. You definitely have a thing for Hoseok but it’s not a crush, per se. There’s the obvious, first, that the man is fucking gorgeous in every sense of the word. He must’ve been sculpted by the gods themselves because no one should have a jawline that sharp, or a nose that perfectly sloping and pointed. And definitely not lips like that. Plump to just the right size and form the shape of a heart whenever he smiles. Also, the rest of him, his arms (which you notice he’s been working on lately. He came back after dance practise wearing a vest and you almost creamed right there - Jimin didn’t shut up for like a week), his hands, his fluffy hair, his legs, that slab of chocolate-shaped abs that you want to run your damn tongue over-
Okay you have a thing for Hoseok. But it’s only physical. Anyone would be crazy to not crush on him. He’s gorgeous. He’s a an absolute beauty of a man and with being a dancer, you can only imagine how much stamina he has.
But he’s also the most good-hearted person you’ve ever met in your life. He laughs so loudly, he smiles so brightly and it’s all so genuine. He’s always been there for the other frat members and for you whenever you’ve needed him. He’s gotten up at 3am to console a sobbing Namjoon after his girlfriend broke up with him. He’s gone to the gym to help a small and fragile Jungkook work on his personal goals. He’s sat with you for hours helping you revise for exams. He goofs off a lot and doesn’t care woo looks, but he’s not afraid to cry in front of his frat members and you. He finds the dumbest things funny and he’s also the biggest scaredy-cat you’ve ever met and he’s just so... so Jung Hoseok. Everything about him is so inviting from his raspy laugh to his sparking eyes. He makes you feel secure in being yourself because he’s definitely not going to judge. Hell, if someone can go to all of their lectures for a day wearing just a mankini because they lost a bet to the maknaes, they’re definitely not going to judge you for dancing on the kitchen counter to a little bit of the Rolling Stones.
He, of course, is a fuckboy, yes. He brings home a lot of girls. You’ve been over at the house when you’ve heard “oh god-! Hoseok! Oh~!” and felt that pang of whatever the fuck that feeling is whenever he brings a girl home. But you’d never ever go that far with him yourself. Hoseok doesn’t want a full-time relationship. He doesn’t have the time for it. At least, that’s what he’s told you when you randomly asked why he doesn’t date. And you don’t want to be just a fling to him. You want to be able to hold his hand and show him off because he’s the best guy in the world. You want to sit on his lap while he studies and run your hands through his hair and reassure him that everything is going to be ok when he’s stressing over the smallest things. You want to go with him to Hope World (his personal studio for his Producing class) and sit on that little couch with the flower plushy and watch him tack tack tack away as he works hard. You want to go places with him and just him and have him all to yourself always. But you definitely don’t have a crush on him.
“[First] did you hear a word of what I just said?”
“Huh?”
“What the hell are you thinking about?” Jimin launches a pillow at you and you manage to catch it.
“Nothing, what were you saying?”
“I was answering your question. I was the only one that saw you trying to get yourself off on Yoongi and I’m fairly sure he didn’t even realise himself but - why the fuck were you trying to get off on Yoongi?”
Hoseok is laughing at something Yoongi has just said when he remembers that he was in the middle of texting that cute girl from the club a few nights ago. He reaches into his left pocket and then his right and finds... well nothing. Where’s his phone?
He looks around on the counter and sees only Namjoon’s phone and Seokjin’s keys and shit he must’ve left them in the living room. He can hear Taehyung upstairs listening to his classical music. He’s probably studying or jerking off. Jungkook is no longer making a ruckus in the living room so he’s guessing it’s empty.
He excuses himself from the conversation and slowly makes his way back to grab his phone. Hopefully there will be another lacy surprise waiting for him.
“[First] did you hear a word of what I just said?” Jimin’s voice is hushed and low. Clearly he doesn’t want to be heard. Hoseok stops in his tracks. He pressed his back against the wall, standing right next to the arch where the door is. He doesn’t want to eavesdrop but he also doesn’t want to interrupt.
“Huh?” The confusion in your voice is evidence that you didn’t.
“What the hell are you thinking about?” There’s a sound. A soft ‘puft’ kind of sound. It reminds him of a pillow.
“Nothing, what were you saying?” Hosoek knows you well enough that he catches the breath of a lie twisting your words. You were thinking about something.
“I was answering your question. I was the only one that saw you trying to get yourself off on Yoongi and I’m fairly sure he didn’t even realise himself but - why the fuck were you trying to get off on Yoongi?”
Woah - back up. You were trying to get off on Yoongi?! During the movie?! Hoseok’s breath catches in his throat. He didn’t see you- yes he did. You were perched on Yoongi’s lap.... oh.
“Okay, look,” you sigh, defeated, “you can’t tell anyone this, alright?” Your voice lowers to a hush but Hoseok can still just about make out the words.
“Alright.” Jimin whispers.
For some reason, Hoseok feels really dirty. Maybe he shouldn’t be listening to this-
“I haven’t...” your voice trails off to a mumble.
“Huh?” It seems Jimin didn’t catch your words, either.
“I... I haven’t had...” again you trail away.
“Seriously, stop mumbling.” Jimin is growing a little irked.
“I haven’t had sex in over a year!” You hiss and Hoseok’s jaw literally drops.
“WHAT?!” Jimin leaps up and you smack your hand over his mouth. His eyes are swimming with genuine shock and your about to cry now that he’s alerted the entire street.
“Jimin!” You whine, “shut up!”
“Sorry-“ his mouth is muffled against your hand and it takes a strip of his tongue over your hand for you to pull away, “hope that didn’t turn you on more. If it’s even possible.”
“Oh shut up, Jimin.” You hiss, “it’s no big deal, obviously. It’s just getting to me a little. I’ll be alright. I just need to go home and have some... you know...” you look down at your feet. Oh god, this is awkward.
“I can always help.” Jimin wiggles his eyebrows.
“Help with what?”
You freeze up and Jimin looks like the heavens have just opened for him. His eyes light up and you’ve never seen anyone try to hold back such a huge, shit-eating grin.
Hoseok steps into the room like he wasn’t just listening to you confess you’ve experiencing the longest dry-spell of your life.
“[First] has a bit of a problem. Actually it’s a huge problem,” Jimin starts and your sending him a look of warning. But Jimin knows you’re so whipped for Hoseok so maybe if he just hints a little, he can get you some dick and some Jung dick at that, “it’s a real burning blunder. It’s a hot, hot issue, let me tell ya Hyung.”
“Park Jimin.” You warm quietly through gritted teeth.
“Oh yeah?” Hoseok’s grabbed his phone now and he’s looking between you and Jimin. You’re standing really close to one another and you instinctively step away. Hoseok wants to say that he knows what your problem is and looking at your face, he doesn’t know how it wasn’t given away much earlier. Fuck, you look hot with the need swimming in your eyes.
“Yeah. It’s a real peak of an issue, wouldnt you say? I bet it’ll be a pretty orgasmic feeling when you solve it.”
Never in your life have you considered murder. But right now? Yeah, right now you could smash Jimin’s coy smirk right into the fucking wall.
Hoseok wants to burst out laughing. He knows Jimin is teasing you and he can see the anger flooding your face. He pins that Jimin is trying to get him to catch on to your problem but he already knows. He figures he’ll have a little fun.
“Oh, by the way, [First], we’re going on a spontaneous trip tomorrow. Wanna come?” He’s smiling at you.
Oh god. Hoseok’s asking you on a trip? Technically it’s wil the others but your heart just skipped a beat and Jimin is certain that you’re going to cry out of happiness.
“I, uh, I don’t know I-“
“She’d love to!” Jimin answers for you, “you don’t have any plans whatsoever do you?”
You’re giving him such an evil eye that’s screaming ‘you know I have plans you evil fucking leprechaun-ass looking motherfucker’ and he’s giving you a look back that’s screaming ‘a date with your vibrator isn’t plans’.
“Great!” Hoseok is showing some serious enthusiasm, “you might as well stay the night, then. You have clothes here, right?” You nod in response, “cool. Well, now that I’ve got this,” he waves his phone about, “I’m gonna go jerk off or something.” He stalks out. Hoseok... jerking off... in the same house as you...
You now and swolloy a dry lump. Jimin has just sealed you in for at least another 24 hours of absolute no relief whatsoever. And now Hoseok’s gone and said that! You could kill Jimin.
So now you’re lying in the middle of Hoseok’a bed with Hoseok to your right and Jungkook to your left. Back to the Future is playing on the TV but only Jungkook is really paying any attention. It’s dark and the light illuminating from Hoseok’s phone is beginning to hurt your vision. You keep looking at his hands. They wrap around his phone easily and you wonder what he did earlier. If he did... you know. There’s a burning right at the pit of your stomach and the room is hot and you’ve got two of the hottest guys you know laying on either side of you.
Jungkook’s biceps are hard and his flesh is a little clammy and hot. His pecs are pushing against the material of his shirt and his basketball shorts leave very little to the imagination.
“Yeah but I saw it on a... rerun...” you can hear Marty McFly talking in the background but the blood is pumping through your ears.
Hoseok takes a look at you. Your face is red and you’re biting your lips. You’re drawing circles on your leg with your fingertips. Oh. You’re nervous. Hoseok turns, making a point to make a small little groan as he does so and you shift next to him. He’s facing you now but his phone is still in his hands. He’s tapping away furiously and you wonder who’s on the receiving end.
It’s most certainly a girl. It has to be. The only time Hoseok types so damn much on his phone is when he’s scolding one of the frat members for something and as Jimin, Taehyung and Yoongi have gone to another frat party and Seokjin and Namjoon have already gone to bed, you know that it’s not that. You eye him, careful not to out yourself. He smirks just a little. The light from his phone illuminated his face. How are his pores so small? And his eyebrows are so neatly kept. And his lips look so soft.
His eyes snap up to you and you are fast to look away. He smirks. God, you must be going batshit crazy right now. Hoseok isn’t narcissistic. He isn’t in love with himself like other people he knows coughjincough but he knows that he’s attractive. And he knows that Jungkook is attractive, too. And he knows that you haven’t had sex in over a year. He knows how hot the room is. He knows how little you all have on. He knows how easy it would be to touch you right now bevause Jungkook is way too busy watching the move.
But then he wonders if you’d make a noise. Probably given how blown out your pupils are right now. He can practically see steam coming off of your skin. He wonders how loud you could be. Would you scream out? Would you cry? What did you like?
Great. Now he’s getting hard.
‘Way to go, asswipe.’ He thinks to himself and lies back on to his back.
The last thing he wants is to press his cock into your side. You might just combust and he likes this bed. You peer over at Hoseok as he moves and hOLY SHIT HE’S HARD. You gulp hard and Jungkook actually notices.
“I’m gonna-“
You’re quick to push up and you clamber over Jungkook. Hoseok sees a damp spot on your shorts. Fuck. He’s getting harder and now he’s alone in a bed with Jungkook. This is really fucking weird.
“Jungkook can’t you fuck off? I wanna sleep.” Hoseok rolls to face away from Jungkook, placing his phone down on the nightstand. Whatever that Sara, Stacey, Sue - whatever her fucking name is - is saying is definitely going to be nowhere near as hot as what he’s just seen between your damn legs. You’re so fucking wet - how are you staying so composed?
“Can’t I watch the rest of this?”
“No.” Hoseok grumbles, “go sleep we’re taking a long drive tomorrow.”
Jungkook huffs loduly in protest but he gets up anyway and leaves the room.
You stand in the bathroom looking at yourself in the mirror. Your chest is rising and falling and you can feel your slick between your legs. It’s like a damn pool down there. What the he’ll is wrong with you?! Hoseok and Jungkook are your friends!
A few moments pass and you don’t return. Hoseok begins to think that maybe you aren’t coming back. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable sharing a bed with him but it’s getting cooler and he doesn’t like the chill biting at his back. He pulls himself up and he is straining against his shorts. Fuck. He makes his way out into the hallway. Silence except for the whir of the fan in the bathroom. The fan automatically comes on with the light so you must be in there. He moved towards the door. Maybe you’re feeling a little sick?
Hoseok nears the door and that’s when he hears it. Even the sound of the fan can’t drown out those small whimpers. Jesus. He presses his ear against the door.
“Oh my god.” You whisper. He thanks god for not fucking with his hearing. Your breathing is growing and your whimpers are slowly growing to be whines, “fuck,” Hoseok is biting his lip as he listens. He’s sure he’s rock hard until, “Hosoek,” you gasp.
Holy mother fucking shit.
Did you just-?
His name?
wHAT?
And now he feels 10x harder and he’s sure he’s never felt this hard in his life. Not even when that hot substitute in 10th grade had her blouse pop open because her breasts were just too big to not bust it open. Fuck. Shit fuck.
But then an idea pops into his head. He likes the game. He likes the chase and he wants to see how desperate you’ll get. Even when you were with Jackson, you were still kind of reserved when it came to sex. You’ve always been that way. Maybe that’s why you haven’t fucked any of the guys yet. And Hoseok kind of doesn’t want you to now that he’s heard you. He kind of wants you all to himself.
And so he knocks.
The noises stop immediately and your heart is thundering. You were so close! Just another couple seconds and you would have easily came. You freeze. Did they hear you? The pleasure isn’t really ebbing away. It’s just sitting there in your core, waiting to snap.
“Um, [First]?” Your face flushed a deep crimson. Why Hoseok?! Did he hear you?
“Y-yeah?” You try to sound normal, like your voice isn’t cracking, like you don’t want to burst into tears because you need to come so badly.
“Everything alright?” No. Absolutely not. You want to come. You kind of want him to come in and make you come. Over his cock.
“Yeah, everything’s peachy. I’ll be out in a mo’.”
“Alright.”
He stands there. He doesn’t know what to do now. He decides he’ll go in after you and maybe try to calm himself down after that. When the door eventually cracks open, you step out. Your vest is a little twisted and he realises he’s never seen you so exposed. Your chest is bigger than he originally thought. Why do you wear such tight clothes - you’re so hot! Your legs are long and gleaming. He wonders how they’ll feel wrapped around him. Your face is deeply blushed and your lips are really swollen now. How badly have you been biting them? Your eyes are sparkling with tears - just a little but Hoseok sees them. God, how pent up are you?
You look over Hoseok and the images that were in your head aren’t subsiding. He’s rock hard against his shorts. You think that’s he thinks because it’s dark you can’t see but Jesus Chris when it’s that big it’s hard to miss. You quickly look away and Hoseok coughs before stepping into the bathroom.
Anger is one emotion flooding your veins. You just need something. Anything. You don’t know when this is going to stop because you don’t know how long the boys plan on staying wherever you’re going. You should have left your dam phone here at the house and gone a night without it. It’s not like your laptop doesn’t have a link to your phone contacts anyway. God damn.
You clamber back into Hoseok’s bed and don’t bother pulling the covers up. Hoseok is gone for a while and you don’t know what’s taking him so long. What if he heard you? What if he’s gone to sleep downstairs? Dear god. Well that’s your friendship fucked with him. Oh lord.
If only you knew. His knuckles gripping the edge of the sink, his other hand being the reason for such an intense wave of pleasure coursing his veins. Thinking of the way his name rolled off of your tongue as you gasped for breath. Did you think about his tongue, or his fingers, or his cock? God he doesn’t care. Any of them will do to make you sound like that again.
And then there’s white coating the sink and dripping down and fuck. Hoseok’s never done that to the thought of you before. Now he has to get back into bed with you and act like that didn’t just happen.
He doesn’t realise how long he’s been until he pass back into the room. You’re facing the other side of the room but fuck. Your shorts have ridden up a little, your ass is exposed - since when did you have such a nice ass? Your curves are on full display since you’re lying on your side and when Hoseok moves around the bed to get into his side, your practically spilling out of your vest. Your lips are parted, brows a little furrowed but you look peaceful. All hints of the utter torture you’ve been enduring are wiped from your face and you look kind of cute.
You? Cute? Ew, no. You’re [First]. The dorky girl Jungkook brought to lunch a few days after he first started at the uni. You’re the sweet little thing that scolded Jungkook for eating half of Namjoon’a sandwiches in one bite. You’re [First] who always brings cupcakes on a Thursday and you always give each cake icing which is the favourite colour intended for its recipient. You’re the girl who brings extra pens just in case Jungkook forgets his again, and who dances with Jimin when he’s drunk and you just want him to not fall over again, and who reads to Namjoon when he’s sleepy. You’re [First] who somehow gets along with Yoongi really well and makes him laugh all the time, who sits with Jin and is the only one who sings “yummy, yummy, yummy I’ve got food in my tummy” with him when he’s cooking.
You’re [First] who showed up one day holding hands with a senior guy and who looked so in love Hoseok thought his heart was going to burst right there. You’re [First] who always brought Hoseok water and food to his dance practice, who visited him at Hope World to remind him to take a break. You’re [First] who once broke the coffee machine and went out the same day and spent all your wages on a brand new one because you felt so bad. You’re [First] who came crying to Hoseok first when Jackson broke your heart, who called him at 2am and just asked him to speak to you because you needed to hear someone’s voice and you always liked his for some reason. You’re...
You’re extraordinary.
Hoseok doesn’t realise that his hand is caressing your cheek until you melt into his touch. He pulls away as if you’re hot to the touch. What is he doing?
The next morning, you’re not there when Hoseok wakes up and he feels a little... deflated. It’s only about 7am and he decides to get up despite a little lack of sleep. He feels groggy. He feels a little ache-y. He’s quiet as he manuvers down the stairs. He knows that Seokjin is driving today and he doesn’t feel like waking him up early and getting a lecture.
There’s a smell coming from the kitchen and Hoseok quite literally almost has a stroke when he sees you pottering around the kitchen in his hoodie and your shorts (which the hoodie is covering so it looks like you’re wearing nothing but his hoodie). You’re making pancakes and there’s all sorts of toppings already lined up on the counter. When you turn, you give Hoseok a smile.
“Morning, Hobi!”
His heart flutters in his chest. All he wants right now is to kiss you. You look so good in his clothes... You’re smiling at him and the sun is bursting through the windows. You’re glowing. He can still see that subtle hint in your eyes where you’re burning up but it seems you’re pushing it back for the time being. Maybe you relieved yourself before he woke up?
“Morning...” he has to be honest, he’s a little... taken back. You’re not usually a morning person. He knows this because one time you slept over and you had an 8:30am lecture the next morning. It took him, Jungkook and Jimin to get you out of bed and then for some reason you decided to temporarily bond with him for the morning. He had to drop you off at class and you had a toothpaste mark on the corner of your lip, your hair was just pulled into a messy ponytail and you’d thrown an outfit together. You were glaring at anyone and anything that came within a 1m radius of you except for Hoseok. So seeing you standing there smiling with a spatula in your hand at 7am is most likely the most shocking thing he’s ever seen.
“I made pancakes.” You hummed, turning back to the stove.
“I can see...” he’s still a little tired and his voice is so husky. He looks so good right now with a little bit of a bed head and his eyes not quite as bright as they usually are. You pretend the heat on your face is from the heat of the stove and you laugh it off quietly. This is fine. You’re fine. Fine.
“Would you like one?”
“Sure. Why not?”
Hoseok is sure he’s never tasted anything this good in his life. You tell him that it’s your grandmother’s recipe and he makes a mental note to meet the woman who taught you how to cook so well. Right now, you’re seeming like the full package. Until Hoseok reminds himself that he doesn’t do relationships. It’s too hard. But then again, it’s you. He’s looking at you again and you’re not looking at him. You’re currently overloading your pancake with syrup and he doesn’t know how you can intake so much sugar so early in the morning. He doesn’t understand why his heart is threatening to burst open his chest but he scoffs down his packcake so that you’ll make him another. It’s not long before the other members start to wake.
~^*^~
“-WHEN I’M WITH YOU ALL I GET IS WILD THOUGHTS!” The chanting around you has you shrinking further into your seat. Not that it did anything, you have Taehyung on your left and Namjoon on your right. Hoseok is sitting right in front of you with Jimin on his right and Jungkook on his left. Yoongi is in the passenger seat and Seokjin is driving.
Taehyung is trying to get you to dance with him in the very limited space and you’re trying to become invisible. Hoseok is laughing and you swear your heart is leaping into your throat. Why did you agree to this again? Oh, right, you didn’t. You’re burning a nice hole in the back of Jimin’s leg when your phone makes a noise.
From: Jimin ‘stop glaring at me’
To: Jimin ‘I wasn’t’
From: Jimin ‘I can literally see you in the mirror’
To: Jimin ‘in that case it’s just my face’
From: Jimin ‘no it’s not. Especially when you’re looking at Hosoek it ISNT’
To: Jimin: shut it Park
Jimin turns and gives you a flash of his smile and if you were close enough you would have hit him. Taehyung gives you a curious look and you bat him off.
“White girl wasted on brown liquor! I probably shouldn't be around you! 'Cause you get wild, wild, wild! You looking like there's nothing that you won't do!” The boys are still belting out the lyrics, but Hoseok’s head turning to lock eyes with you makes you nearly whimper. Fuck. He knows.
You don’t know how, it’s not even that logical that he would know about 1) your fat crush on him 2) your current horniness levels being through the roof 3) your want to ease your horniness with your big fat crush - so why are you panicking?! Jimin wouldn’t have told him. Jimin is an asshole, but he knows when to stop. He wouldn’t tell Hoseok. You hope.
When you pull up to this gorgeous summerhouse, you’re blown away by the scenery that surrounds it and well, the house itself. So much so that Taehyung has to pull you out of the car.
“This is technically Seokjin’s parents’ but they only use it for like two weeks in July so it’s ours for the rest of the year.” Jungkook explains and you nod at his words. You look around and Hoseok, despite being in a conversation with Seokjin and Jimin, is staring right at you. You look away.
“We could totally skinny dip.” Taehyung muses.
“You seven are more than welcome to engage in said sausage fest. I don’t feel like getting algae in my vagina.” You roll your eyes.
“Strictly speaking, you can’t really get algae in your pus-“ Namjoon is stepping over now.
“Why are you guys talking about [First]’s pussy?” Oh, there’s Hoseok, too. Great.
Please, lord, just let a small [First]-sized sink hole open up right under your feet and KILL YOU.
All seven members are now debating on if you can actually get algae in a vagina and you’ve literally never felt more uncomfortable. Hoseok is laughing at the chaos he’s had a hand in causing and your heart constricts alongside the bubbling, angry pit in your stomach. A pair of ripped denim shorts, a huge oversized white t-shirt (so large that he has to tuck it in to the front of the shorts so that it doesn’t look like a dress), an orange cap and matching vans. He looks... hot. As usual, in line with every other Jung Hoseok ™ look, he is so fucking hot.
Instead of standing around with the boys, you venture inside for a while. The house is very spacious but there’s only four bedrooms which means that everyone is going to have to bunk up. Apparently Seokjin normally gets a room to himself so he’s a little disgruntled at having to share a bed with Yoongi. Jimin is quick to pick Taehyung to bunk with and Jungkook decides he wants Namjoon because “Namjoonie Hyung sucks at switch games” which means... you’re bunking with Hoseok.
Holy shit you’re bunking with Hosoek.
You honeslty don’t know why you’re freaking out because you’ve slept (not like that) with Hoseok before. You guys like to cuddle every now and then and sometimes you’ve just straight up told Hoseok you’re sleeping in his bed because it’s really comfy (he has a memory foam mattress). Many times you’ve woken with his arms around your waist, nose pressed into the crook of your neck. But right now, something feels different. It feels like... like something has shifted monumentally between you and Hoseok. You’re starting to think that he really did hear you last night. You’re starting to think he knows you have a crush on him and you feel so stupid. There’s no way he likes you back so now you’re stuck with having to share a bed with him.
The first day is quick to pass as you get to the house at like 2pm. Seokjin whips up lunch and you guys sit out the back, looking at the large pond/small lake that sits at the back of the house. It’s a relatively warm day and it goes by pretty quickly. Before you know where you are, you’re lying in a bed next to Hoseok. It’s dark and your shoulder is touching Hoseok’s because somehow you also got stuck with the small double. Apparently it’s “too sexual” for two guys to share a bed and be that close but you know it’s bullshit because Jungkook and Taehyung literally compared dick sizes by whipping them out and holding them side-by-side. How is that- you know, you don’t even want to venture into that anymore.
You don’t know if Hoseok is asleep next to you. His chest is rising and falling but his breathing is a little too fast for someone who’s sleeping. He also keeps fumbling with his hands just a little and you’ve slept next to him enough to know that he stills when he’s officially asleep. Even so, you refuse to call out to him. But... he’s so close. And you’re beginning to burn up again. Oh god why now? Why next to Hoseok? Which reminds you, you need to smack Jimin when you see him tomorrow. Making you lie in this small-ass bed with Hoseok of all people, fully knowing how physically pent up you are. You find yourself rolling over, turning away from Hosoek and gulping in a breath. You are t h r o b b i n g. Since when had you become so hot? Before you know where you are, your fingers are over the material of your pyjama shorts and you’re biting into the pillow so that you don’t make a sound.
Fuck. This is so wrong. This is so so wrong. But you can’t help yourself. 13 months you been in this hell-like state. 13 months you’ve suffered. Your body can’t handle it any longer. You know how wrong this is. Getting yourself off with Hoseok lying beside you. Your friend Hoseok. Heavens above, you know he’s a sex god. You’ve heard more than your fair share of his sexcapades and you know girls don’t cry out like that if the sex isn’t great. You have a great mind to just roll over and beg him to fuck you. But you can’t. Because it. is. Hoseok. Because you know you’ll never live it down and you’ll definitely end up crushing on him more if he fucks you good. Your fingers are working at your bundle of nerves and oh, Lord, you’re close already. Can you come like this? Is this as needy as you’ve gotten? You’re willing to come for the first time in like four days sleeping next to one of your best friends/crush?
You don’t get the chance. Hoseok rolls over, grunting a little as he does. His arm tangled around your waist and he pulls himself close. He hums in your ear. You freeze. Your fingers are digging down into your core. Your eyes are wide open now and your heart is beating so quickly. Hoseok doesn’t make any further movement. He’s sleeping.
Except he’s not. He knows exactly what you’re up to and you are not about to come right next to him like that. Even with the pillow muffling you, you’re still a little loud and whiney. He’s smirking as he listens to your racing heart and your rugged breath. He’s pinning your arm against you and he knows you won’t move now. You’re trapped like this until he really does fall sleep. You’re trapped with your fingers on your cunt, so close to coming and nothing gives Hoseok bigger pleasure than knowing you’re shut down again. How much further will you need to be pushed before you crack?
The next day, you wake after Hoseok. He’s already up and you find him outside bending open the open bonnet of a red car. It’s a Golf R and you’re not entirely sure where it came from but Hoseok seems pretty busy so you sit down on the porch steps and wait for him to notice you. He’s gone with some ripped jeans today and a white tank top. His muscles flex every time his arms dip in and out of the metal and you’re flushing already. Get a grip, girl, it’s only 8:45! Hoseok turns after a while and flashes you a smile. Then, he’s calling you over. You don’t think that you can stand but you push yourself up and make your way towards him. {Part 2}
The Car Accident Permutation
A/N:I posted this like a week ago on FF.Net and forgot to post it here. Whoopsies. A dear friend of mine actually convinced me to finish this story after I said it was a lost cause. Thanks, babe.
It was one of those rare occasions where Sheldon was home alone. Leonard was spending the night with Penny, Amy had to work late, Raj and Howard were doing… whatever they do on a Friday night. And Sheldon found himself alone in his apartment with an evening free to do whatever he pleases.
At first he thought about playing a video game, however, the paper cut he gave himself earlier in the day rendered his thumb useless in the face of combat. He was caught up on all of his shows, plus it wouldn’t be nearly as fun without someone there for him to spoil the ending. Ultimately, he decided to get some work done on his computer. Write a couple of emails, edit a paper he was looking to publish, mundane work that Sheldon would typically reserve for his assistant who just so happened to be on vacation.
He worked peacefully in the quite for about a half an hour before the sound of his phone ringing jerked him from his concentration.
He could tell the call was local from the area code, but the number was unknown to him. At 9:30 PM he doubted it was work, plus the number would probably be in his contact list if it was. Deciding that it was just some undergrads pulling a prank on him, he ignored it.
He returned to his work briefly before his vibrated once again. Whoever was calling him decided to leave a voicemail. Sheldon didn’t even want to give them the light of day, however, if it was a prank call maybe he could use it against them at some point later on. Despite his better judgment, he swiped right on his phone to listen to the voicemail.
A female voice carried the through the speaker.
“Hello, Dr. Cooper, this is the Huntington Hospital emergency department calling on behalf of one Amy Fowler. She has you listed as her emergency contact, so, I was just calling to let you know that she was involved in a car accident this evening. She’s ok, just a couple of broken bones and some bruising. We’re going to release her here in about an hour and we just wanted to make sure she had someone to escort her home. I’m going to try calling her other emergency contacts, however if you get this message, please call back at (626)-798-5000. Thank you.”
Sheldon barely waited for the message to finish before rushing out the door and across the hall. He was sure that Amy had Penny down as her second emergency contact, third if she came after her mother, however, based on the commotion he could hear coming from 4B he assumed that Penny was indeed back up. Sheldon was just about to pound on the door when it swung open to reveal a very disheveled Leonard and Penny.
“You didn’t answer the phone, you dingus?!” Penny shouted at him, jabbing a finger his direction.
Sheldon shrugged as she moved around him towards the stairs. “I thought it was a prank call,” Sheldon defended, scrambling after his blonde neighbor as she flew down the stairs.
Sheldon all but chased Penny down the stairs, Leonard trying to keep up behind them. It wasn’t like Sheldon to feel so panicked. He usually reserved freak outs for being late to the movies or if Barry Kripke was within 100 feet of him. But there was something different coursing through his blood that he wasn’t used to. He’d felt it once, when his father had a heart attack and Georgie had to drive Sheldon and his sister to the hospital. It felt like something similar to that but more intense. A soul-crushing fear that made him want to just be paralyzed, but at the same time an adrenalin rush that pushed him to get to Amy as quickly as possible.
He didn’t know what that nurse was hopped up on, but a couple of broken bones and bruises was not nothing. At least not to him. So, for the first time in his existence, he did not tell Penny to slow down or be cautious of traffic laws. The only thing he could feel was an overwhelming desire, need, to get to Amy.
Later, Sheldon would blame that need as to why he jumped out of Penny’s car before she came to her screeching halt.
“Sheldon!” He briefly heard Penny call after him, he couldn’t care, not when he had a singular focus.
Through the sliding glass doors he ran, searching for the receptionist who snapped his head up upon Sheldon’s arrival.
“Name?” The receptionist asked politely, poising his hands, ready to type.
“I’m here to see Amy Fowler, I’m her emergency contact,” Sheldon rushed, out of breath.
The man behind the desk nodded his head in a silent form of understanding before typing quickly on his computer. “Sheldon Cooper?”
“Yes.”
“Alright, I need to see ID before I can let you through.” The young man behind the desk looked almost apologetic as Sheldon huffed in frustration, but pulled out his wallet anyway.
As the receptionist checked his ID, Leonard and Penny came up beside him. “Where is she?” Penny asked, a wild glint glazed over her eyes.
Before Sheldon could respond, the man handed Sheldon back his ID. “Room 14, through the double doors,” he said, pressing a button on his side of the desk, opening the large metal doors to his right.
Sheldon briefly thanked the man before pushing off the desk and running through the new opening. His eyes quickly scanned the new surroundings, looking for the aforementioned room 14. It was chaotic, typical for an ER. Constant beeping, nurses swirling around, briskly moving past him as if they knew he was going to be standing there. Despite the chaos, Sheldon could not find room 14.
He stopped a nurse who was carrying a wad of blankets into the room directly on his left. Room 1, where an elderly man was laid in the bed with his wife firmly holding his hand. “Where is room 14?”
The nurse turned to look politely up at him. “You must be the Sheldon Cooper Miss Fowler won’t stop talking about,” the young woman pondered, looking over him once and then twice. It startled him that the nurse not only knew his name, but that Amy talked about him enough for her to easily identify him. She chuckled slightly and maneuvered the linens in her arms to one side. “Go all the way to the end of the hall, turn left, room 14 is there on the right.”
“Thank you,” Sheldon uttered before blending in with the chaos. He too began to brush past nurses without casting a second glance, twisting and turning his way through the maze of the emergency room.
He could feel Penny standing too close to him as he slid the glass door of room 14 open. The curtain was drawn, protecting the security of it’s occupant, he bombarded his way through that too.
And there sitting on the bed was his girlfriend, peacefully scrolling through her phone. Upon the trio’s arrival, Amy dropped her phone to her lap and extended her right arm out towards her boyfriend. Sheldon made no move to get closer. He stood rooted in his spot at the doorway taking in Amy’s appearance. Her left arm was wrapped in a thick cast, paralyzed in a sling. Even through the thin white hospital gown, deep, dark purple bruising was visible near her ribcage. There was a small cut near the top of her head that had been stitched up and bandaged. She was a mess.
He heard Penny groan behind him before she rushed around him and to Amy’s bedside. “Ames, sweetie, what happened? Are you ok?” She asked as she gently took Amy’s uninjured hand in her own.
“I’m ok,” Amy responded, her voice shaky and uneven. “Now at least,” she mumbled, lowing her head back to the pillow.
Penny climbed into the bed next to Amy, ever so gently, wrapping her arms around the brunette’s shoulders. “What happened?”
“Guy ran a red light, hit me head on, on the driver’s side. Worst part is, he stayed to see if I was ok,” Amy paused to look spitefully at her injured arm. “Then when I mentioned that we needed to exchange information, he got all flighty and left.”
“Wait, so it was a hit and run?” Leonard asked from the corner of the room.
“Technically,” Amy shrugged, wincing in the process. She turned her eyes to Sheldon who was studying her carefully from the foot of her bed. “The crash wasn’t hard enough for the airbags to deploy, so I guess the guy thought he got off lucky.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Sheldon announced, finally breaking his silence. “You leave the scene of an accident without following the proper protocols given by the state, you’ve automatically incriminated yourself.”
Amy gulped as Sheldon piercing blue eyes bore into her. “I know and that’s exactly what the police said. Thankfully, the accident happened at an intersection, so, they’re going to pull the footage and see if they can get a plate.”
Penny pulled Amy closer to her, hugging her tightly to her chest. “I’m just glad you’re ok, I mean, it could have been much worse.”
Amy grimaced at the thought. “Yeah.”
With that a silence fell over the foursome, only the sounds of chaos from outside echoing into the room. Various machines beeping from patient room 16 next door, and the distant screaming of a lady in the waiting room. Typical sounds of the ER on a busy Friday night. Yet, still through it all, Amy and Sheldon found each other’s eyes once again. Piercing blue met striking green. Amy had never seen Sheldon look at her the way he looked at her from the end of her hospital bed. Not the night on the train, or the day of prom had Sheldon’s gaze consumed her whole. There at the end of her bed, he took her in, scanning every inch of her body. Looking for any cut he hadn’t seen before, any bruise he missed. Behind the deep gaze of worry there was love, the deep, all-consuming love, he hadn’t shown since prom. The love or the worry had him trembling, of which she was not sure.
Amy turned her head up to Penny. “Can I have a minute with Sheldon?” She asked quietly, her eyes basically pleading with her Bestie to comply.
Penny disengaged from her and squeezed her hand. “Of course. We’ll be right outside if you need anything.”
Sheldon watched Leonard and Penny disappear behind the curtain and the sliding glass door before he turned back to Amy. He bowed his head toward the bed, shuffling from one foot to the other. “Social convention dictates that I ask if you’re ok,” Sheldon said after a minute of silence.
Amy tilted her head at him. “We don’t follow social convention and you know it,” Amy said, not with an accusatory tone, but it was enough for Sheldon to look away from her. “Come sit with me.” She patted the bed where Penny had just vacated, motioning for him to join her.
Hesitantly he sat next to her, careful not to touch her, and not for the normal reason. He didn’t want to cause her anymore pain than he already knew she was feeling.
Amy on the other hand craved and needed that physical contact. The car accident had left her shaking, and even after the paramedics wrapped a blanket around her, the warmth of the wool couldn’t supply the comfort she needed. Even still, hours later, Amy could still feel that every nerve in her body was on high alert, she needed Sheldon to help ground her. To be her 0000. Bring her back to equilibrium.
Through the haze of medication and the lingering pain, Amy tugged on Sheldon’s shirt to bring him closer. She expected resistance from her physicist of a boyfriend, however, he came to her easily. They were now touching, but still Sheldon made no move to hold her.
“Sheldon?” she beckoned him. “Isn’t it also social convention that the boyfriend complies to the girlfriend’s wishes in her time of need?”
Sheldon furrowed his eyebrows. “I thought you just said we don’t do that?”
Amy shrugged with her good shoulder. “I did, but you’re not one to turn it down if I point it out to you.”
“Curse you,” Sheldon replied, jokingly. “And what would be my girlfriend’s wish during her time of need?” He asked, keeping up his playful façade.
Amy leaned into him, playfully nudging him with her good shoulder. “Well, according to the relationship agreement, when one party is sick and or physically impaired the other is required to take care of them.”
He raised his eyebrow, playing along with her. “So?”
“And at this moment I find myself craving human intimacy and physical contact.”
Sheldon knew what she was refencing, his outstanding memory wouldn’t let him forget; but if she was about to offer what he thinks she was about to offer, he was going to call her doctor to come get her a brain scan. “Amy, if you’re suggesting that we-“
She interrupted him before the words could leave his mouth, “I just want you to hold me, Sheldon,” She pleaded, her good arm outstretched for him once again.
He recalled that night, where she had been saddened by Penny and Bernadette’s callous actions and she got him to cuddle with her. At the time he said he was strong-armed into it; however, he would be lying to himself if he didn’t look back on it fondly. That was different, he reasoned with himself. He wasn’t in love with her then, and she didn’t have bruises painted all over her body.
The way she looked at him, begging him with her eyes to be held, tore at his heart. Her pain reflected onto him and without hesitation, he shifted to lie next to her. She adjusted herself as well, putting weight onto her good side so that he could cradle her body in his arms. One arm went under her head so she could use it as a pillow while his other hand rested at the dip of waist. Amy settled into him, sighing contentedly as she took in his scent.
Sheldon could feel the way her muscles relaxed under his fingers as she tried desperately to get as close to him as possible. Pulling Amy’s head to rest on his chest, his hand intertwined in her hair trying to detangle the mangled mane.
Amy eventually fell asleep, but Sheldon wouldn’t budge. Nope, there was no way in hell he was moving from his spot. Even if he wanted to, she probably wouldn’t let him considering she had him in a death grip.
Just as he was reaching for the remote to turn the light above the bed off, a soft knock came from the sliding glass door. Sheldon held up his finger to silence Leonard as he entered the room.
His roommate smiled at the scene. “Hey, I just wanted to let you know, they’re going to release her soon,” he said quietly, coming to stand next to Sheldon.
“Ok,” Sheldon whispered, barely audible.
“We’ll be out in the waiting room if you need anything,” Leonard said, retreating back to the door.
“Wait,” Sheldon stopped him. “Can you run home and pack me an overnight bag? I want to stay with her tonight.”
Leonard smiled again, proud that Sheldon was going to such lengths to take care of his girlfriend. “Of course.”
With that, his roommate made his exit and once again he was alone with Amy. It felt like liquid relief was washed over him now that he knew she would be ok. If only she knew how worried he was. He wasn’t going to let her out of his sight now.
He watched her sleep like it was the most mesmerizing thing. He noted how his mouth hung open slightly, little puffs of breath being released against his chest. Every so often the fingers in her cast would twitch against his side, tickling him slightly. Sheldon was so relaxed he almost drifted off as well, but he shook himself awake. Wanting to make sure nothing could hurt her.
After a few minutes, Amy began to mumble in her sleep. Mostly incoherent thoughts that he couldn’t really follow, until the faintest of whispers escaped her lips. So quiet he almost missed it. “I love you, Sheldon.”
He pressed his lips to the top of her head, gently so as to not disturb her head wound. He mumbled his promise into her hair, and even though she couldn’t hear it, it solidified it for him. “I love you too. I’m going to take care of you, I promise.”
A/N: It’s cheesy, I know. Sorry guys
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Part 4 - Trials and Tribulations (3rd game)
Turnabout Memories Omggg! I can’t believe we get to see Phoenix and Mia’s first meeting! I’ve always liked Mia so this is great! It’s so cute to see a younger Phoenix that is so cute and careless haha. Didn’t expect him to be the defendant for Mia’s second case ever though, but I guess it is a Phoenix Wright game, they gotta put him in the spotlight somehow, so if he’s not the defence, he’ll have to be a suspect hahaha. It’s so adorable when Phoenix cries lmao, but wow Dahlia is so cute and pretty, she’s an angel! Those butterflies hovering around her though lmao. The bottle necklace was really cool.
Wow, I really liked how this case turned out, it definitely feels more in line with the cases in the first game that I liked the most, mainly because it’s simple, it’s straightforward and it rounds up all the evidence and people mentioned nicely. I didn’t expect Phoenix to be so smitten with Dahlia though lol, but yeah, she’s really evil, not that we get to know what her motives for killing that attorney were, but dang was she evil to give the bottle that hid the poison to Phoenix so the police wouldn’t find it. I find it kinda funny that it ended up backfiring on her because Phoenix refused to return it to her later on so she had to keep dating him to try and get it back loll. Gotta feel sorry for the ex though, he noticed that she was dodgy and had stolen poison from his labs and was nice enough to warn Phoenix, but that instead led to his death, sigh, so terrible. Considering Dahlia’s last words, I guess we’ll be seeing her again… But yeah, I really liked this case especially with Mia being the lawyer, you can see how great she was even when she was a newbie. Lmao at Mr Payne losing his hair and screaming when he lost loll. Gotta love all the exaggeration, it really makes the game haha.
The Stolen Turnabout It’s nice to see Andrews living a better life now than when she was a manager. Lmaoo that no one noticed the urn being weird with the name spelt wrong since Pearl glued it back in the wrong places. Shocking that the village is famous enough that their “treasures” are being exhibited though lol. Otherwise, Atmey the ace detective doesn’t seem very interesting of a guy lol. I have to say, I miss Larry and his ability to complicate everything so it’s nice to see him again! Can’t believe he and Phoenix didn’t talk to each other for two years though! But, I guess considering the type of happy go lucky guy he is, Larry following a woman to Japan and then getting dumped is believable loll. I wonder if he makes all the girls he dates famous or something loll. Anyway, I don’t know why, but I feel like Atmey looks like and feels like Mask DeMasque. Okay, I love Godot’s look, he looks cool!! HAHAHA, I love him already, he’s never won or lost a case before because he’s a beginner hahahaha. He’s such an eccentric but it’s so cute, it was so funny and slack when he wanted to call his next witness, but Gumshoe said he hadn’t proven anything yet, and Godot says he already proved his incompetence LOL. And I love how Godot said the safest place to keep evidence is by him pocketing them hahahah. Gotta love everyone’s confidence here, Atmey especially, he didn’t even get to see the culprit’s face and was knocked out by him but he’s still so full of himself lolll. Gotta love how lenient the judge is with all the dodgy people, but I guess that’s expected since he’s not the best himself hahaha. LMAO when Godot said objection and threw his coffee at Phoenix (Godot Blend #102 hahaha) and you see the cup on his head whilst it’s dripping coffee hahahaha.
Anyway, what is wrong with Ron? Why is he so insistent on being Mask DeMasque and being pronounced guilty? Ohh wow, didn’t expect the CEO that was apparently blackmailing Ron to die, and to think that Phoenix proving him to be at the CEO office at the time of the theft saved him from the current case but now has caused him to be arrested for murdering the CEO. Aside from that, I love how when Godot is losing to Phoenix, steam comes out of his head or he just says random things about coffee to express his feelings lmao. Hahaahha Wendy Oldbag is Larry’s superior and partner in KB Security? Loll, they both sound so dodgy, I’m worried for this building. I wonder if Mask DeMasque is like two people or something lol. Hmm so Ron was the thief but someone gave him the plans and what to steal~ HAHAHA, lmao when Godot said “you did it, didn’t you?” to Ron when he was about to start testifying and Ron with a serious face says “yes” and then realises what he just said yes to and starts saying noooo LOL. Like the judge said, it really could have been the shortest trial ever hahahaha. Gotta love Gadot’s variety of reactions, it was so hilarious whenever he spat his coffee out at Phoenix uncovering things that were unexpected to him hahaha. Anyway, I really liked how things went on in this part of the trial! Even though it was obvious Detective Atmey was the culprit, it was interesting to see how he made everyone fall into the trap of thinking he was actually Mask DeMasque in order to get himself a guilty verdict of larceny as his alibi to protect him from actually being accused of murdering the CEO. That felt really clever and interesting imo. Well, glad to know Desiree really loves Ron as much as he loves her, so it’s a nice ending for them haha.
Overall, although Atmey was a boring culprit when considering his motives etc, I found the flow of the case really fun and interesting. The case started off pretty funny and amusing by introducing the broken urn from the previous game again and making it seem like a theft case, when really it interrelated with the idea of someone trying to use the double jeopardy rule (can’t be tried for the same charges twice when some sort of verdict has been made already) to get themselves out of the more serious crime. I liked the idea and the execution of it quite a bit and enjoyed how everything turned out~
Recipe for Turnabout A fake Nick?! Isn’t it a bit crazy that no one in court or anything knew it was a fake though?? Not sure if I like the sound of this case already… The fake also kinda tarnished his reputation for losing and getting a guilty verdict too! Well, I didn’t expect to see Maggey again, bad luck follows her everywhere, huh? Even when she’s been fired as a police officer and is now a waitress… Yahh, Armstrong is certainly an eccentric character Well, uh, aside from the disgusting food, overly pungent flower smell in the restaurant and those weird dodgy aromatherapy oils he’s giving out, is there anything good about this guy or restaurant?! Omgg lace curtains in a kitchen, I am dreading the possibility of a fire already… Lmao when Maya in that maid/waitress outfit couldn’t entice Victor to talk and so she had to turn into Mia lolll.
Honestly though, Godot makes me want to drink coffee allll the time hahaha. Lmaooo at Gumshoe trying so hard to get Phoenix to doubt his testimony and evidence so that Maggey can be freed hahahah. Awww so cute how Gumshoe made a lunchbox for Maggey since she seemed to have lost weight from the stress of the case! Lmao that it’s just a bunch of weenies/sausages with rice though hahahah. I’m surprised no one cares or thinks the chef is suspicious especially since Maggey fainted when the guy got poisoned, like ummm okay?? I’d say that the idea of the Victor seeing a fake crime scene with a fake victim was interesting, but at the same time, it felt really implausible? Especially with how easily it was renounced by Phoenix because of the radio lottery announcement that occurs at 1:30pm every time? Lmao at everyone (even the judge hahaha) getting scared of Tigre’s dominating presence and shouting so they hide under the table lolll. Gotta love how calm Godot remains.
And yeah…the way they tricked him into telling the whole court what the bottle of potassium cyanide actually looked like etc was just..so, how do I say it? Unsatisfying??? Well, technically I felt like the whole story of this case and how it happened and why it happened was pretty bland already, but even the way they got him was just so uncharacteristically satisfying. I feel like what I enjoy most about the game is when they give you the evidence and the testimonies and that leads you to solving the case with clear cut evidence etc to show that “this person” did it. It just feels rather cheap when they deviate from that since it doesn’t feel like the reader themselves really did their part to show why this person is guilty, instead you’re reliant on Phoenix doing something random and dodgy to succeed. On another note, I found Maggey blaming Gumshoe and hating on him really annoying especially when she was a policewoman before and so she should understand that he had to give the facts, like seriously, you can’t blame him for telling the truth, especially when he ran around everywhere trying to help find evidence to prove her innocence. Not only was she not grateful for any of it, she KEEPS blaming him even after the trial ends! Like girl, he has no obligation (other than his job) to help her to such an extent that he’s even making lunchboxes etc for her, I was so annoyed with her, and do not want to see her again honestly, but I doubt it’s the last time we see her zzz. Considering how annoying she was about it all, I’m surprised she still ate the lunchbox in the end, Gumshoe is wasted on her. But yeah, basically, not a fan of this case in terms of story or the characters/witnesses. Victor was okay because he was a silly guy, but Tigre was so boring, even more boring than I initially thought.
Turnabout Beginnings I’m glad we get to see Mia’s first case! I was scared they might put it in the next game or something haha. Is Diego (another attorney in the same law firm as Mia) Godot’s father or something? Or is it actually Godot himself? Or am I just thinking too much haha. Omgggg I can’t believe Edgeworth is the prosecutor!! Young him is so cute though lol. Nah, Diego has the statement coffee cup, he’s gotta be related to Godot, it must run in the family!! Loll. Awww Gumshoe and Edgeworth go way back! So, is Melissa Dahlia? Did she change her name?? Honestly though, I’m not really interested in the case haha, doesn’t help how biased the judge is and how tricky Edgeworth is lol. Okay, that was unexpected, Valerie, Fawles and Dahlia were in on this “kidnapping” to get some cash out of it, but Valerie betrayed them and caused her sister, the little girl “Dahlia” to fall to her death on the bridge? Ohh okay, that turned out more interesting than I thought. I can see why Mia was quite traumatised with her first case, she was so close to revealing Dahlia to be the one that jumped off the bridge herself to keep that 2 million diamond for herself, and how she killed her sister and pinned it on Terry to stop the truth from getting out, and yet…Terry was so obsessed and taken with Dahlia that he chose to commit suicide instead, and it was by drinking poison from that bottle Phoenix had in the beginning of the first case in this game… That was honestly pretty saddening.
Bridge to the Turnabout Okay, initially, I was sceptical about this with the Iris seeming to be Dahlia thing and the temple stuff etc, but now that Phoenix is hurt and Larry wants Edgeworth to defend Iris, this seems like it’ll be a fun case! Like, sure, the court was dodgy enough to accept a paper attorney badge last time and not even recognise Phoenix’s imposter, but everyone knows Edgeworth is a prosecutor! How are they going to get around that? Loll. Swapping the judge out is a good idea to get around it, but I like the judge!! Well, the judges are brothers so I guess that’s cool hahaha. But yeah, I love the usual judge, he’s so silly, it’s hilarious! Anyway, lmao that the “blackmail letter” to Iris was actually Larry’s love letter hahahaha, he ended up scaring her away instead lollll.
Omggg Franziska vs Edgeworth?? I prefer Godot but I guess this match will be interesting. Hahahaha at the judge thinking Edgeworth looks familiar (since he’s the same judge that was in the Mia vs Edgeworth case back in the day) and Franziska insisting there’s no such weakling in the prosecutor’s office lolll. And then I love how the judge tries to get rid of Franziska’s whip but Edgeworth says she should be allowed to keep it since he doesn’t care lolll, what about the judge’s wishes?! Lmaoo at Sister Bikini (what a name btw LOL) being so short (because of her bad back) at the witness podium, you just see her eyes blinking hahahaha, and then they had to get milk crates for her ahahaha. Awwww Edgeworth is so cute to say he now understands why Phoenix feels so happy when he exposes contradictions in testimonies hahaha. Larry is hilarious, I can’t believe he was literally sketching for 15 minutes when the bridge was burning down instead of getting help LOL. It’s normal for Edgeworth and Franziska to insult Larry’s intelligence but lmao at even the judge saying he was surprised Larry actually witnessed an actual event loll. Gotta love how Larry makes every case he’s in more complicated haha.
Hmmm is Godot the guy that was poisoned by Dahlia?🧐 Is Elise Maya’s mother? She is!! Iris is Pearls’ sister??? Do they even know about each other?? Oh wait, now Iris is a twin?? Well, I was thinking that was the only logical explanation to the people sighting her everywhere and the extra psyche locks on the Sacred Cavern (where Maya is trapped) but I’m still surprised that they’re all actually Morgan’s (Misty’s sister, so Maya and Mia’s aunt) daughters! Ummm, if Iris’ father is a jeweller and he left Kurain village with the twin daughters after knowing that Morgan could never be the master, and if he gave Iris up to the temple and kept the other daughter… Does that mean Dahlia is the other sister and that’s why she really wanted that jewel in that case? Oh wow, Iris was a part of the fake kidnapping as well but somehow betrayed Dahlia causing her “killing spree”. Hmm if they stole the jewel as “revenge” on their father for how he treated Morgan (dumping her since she was useless to him), what was their plan exactly?
Hahaha gotta love that the trial has barely started and it’s already killing Phoenix since Iris just confessed she’s actually an accomplice to the murder! Well, the pendulum swinging the body back was pretty much what I expected even though it still kinda sounds rather far fetched… And I was wondering why Iris was weird, she’s actually Dahlia! I’m kinda confused at the idea of them being able to materialise Dahlia without actually having her body like possess someone? Since it’s implied initially that Misty was the one channeling her, but now that she’s dead, she’s still materialised?? I’ve been thinking about this for a while, but wouldn’t it be most likely that the one channeling Dahlia is actually Maya? And yep it was! I was thinking it was impossible for Pearl to have been the one channeling her since she already since she didn’t and couldn’t do it, so I was so confused haha. It’s good that Maya was smart enough to consult Mia and that’s how they were able to plan and get Maya to protect herself from Dahlia by being the one channeling her so that she wouldn’t be able to know that the one she actually needed to hurt was herself. That thing Dahlia kinda became when she was disappeared was pretty menacing, I feel like she would be back in a future game just because of how vengeful she is tbh.
Omg, the defence attorney Dahlia poisoned was Armando, the guy who was helping Mia out in that trial with Dahlia. Both Mia and him were still suspicious of Dahlia after that case so she killed him…. I knew it was coming, but to think that Diego Armando is really Godot… Like, don’t get me wrong, I love Godot’s looks, but I’m sure having to wear that visor to see things etc already kinda depicts how terrible his life must had become after the incident with Dahlia. Oh wow, Godot was in a coma for 5 years due to the poison… I never expected Godot to have loved Mia so much that he hated Phoenix for not being able to protect her whilst he was asleep. And I didn’t expect him to care so much that he made protecting Maya one of his reasons for living, since he knew that she was the most important person to Mia. It’s so tragic yet sweet… I didn’t think Misty, Iris and Godot all cooperated trying to foil Morgan’s plan though… Honestly, it broke my heart to see Godot trying to guide Phoenix to the end of the trial by himself instead of always relying on Mia. It’s true that he hated Phoenix for not protecting Mia, but Godot also hated himself for missing out on everything that happened as well, he felt like he failed as well. So having to see Phoenix point out that Godot was the murderer was so tough and terrible to witness, mainly because they all did what they did to protect Maya. Misty channeled Dahlia’s soul to prevent Pearl from doing it, but that meant it was up to Godot to stop her, and there was no other way to stop her than for Godot to have stabbed her at that moment. Although Godot doubts whether he did it for Maya or for himself (for revenge on Dahlia poisoning him), I think there’s no need to even think about it, even though he had his own sort of pride (for not telling Phoenix about the plan), in his own way, he did what he could to protect what was precious to Mia. And that honestly breaks my heart.
The other most surprising thing to come out of this was that in reality, Dahlia and Phoenix only met each other twice (when she used him to hide the poison and when she tried to poison him in the end), all the other times they met and dated and had a relationship, it was actually Iris trying her best to get the bottle back from him so that Dahlia wouldn’t kill him. Although, she obviously failed and that caused Dahlia to hatch her plan and not tell Iris about it because she knew Iris had fallen in love with Phoenix. Honestly though, I really wanted Phoenix and Iris to get together this whole time, so knowing that they used to be together was really nice. If only it was possible in the future too… I thought it was really cool and bittersweet how Phoenix and Godot shared a cup of coffee with each other at the end of the trial. I guess in a sense, he’s finally free since the case is resolved, but at the same time I can’t help but feel so sad about it all. Maya and Pearl are really strong for being able to keep up their smiles.
Honestly, I found the last case to be rather convoluted and boring because of the fact that I’ve never really been a fan of the supernatural element of the game with the Kurain channelling technique. The only times I liked them using it was to bring back Mia, but not really in an actual case, so that detracted points for me, and I guess also because Dahlia wasn’t a very interesting villain either. Dahlia is just like this ball of pure hatred for everything and everyone for betraying her and treating her like crap, and although it’s understandable, aside from her looks, there was nothing I liked about her lol. However, the last case definitely hit me in the feels the best out of all the cases in this trilogy, I legit wanted to cry because of Godot’s/Armando’s story and motivations, he was really relatable and I couldn’t help but really empathise with his hatred, his sadness and his forced acceptance of reality in the present. It was painful to witness because of how much it broke my heart. He is definitely my favourite character for this whole franchise. Larry and Mia being close seconds haha.
Overall, although I found the Maggey case and the Godot one lacking in terms of the case itself, most of this third game was great! I enjoyed most of it and really felt like it had the gist of what I loved in the first game so it was great to play through it! The psyche locks are still something I don’t like, but oh well. Honestly, I really wanted to play as Edgeworth a bit more but I guess I can play that other game with him as the MC? It’s on Android so I guess I can play it on that haha. I think my favourite part was being able to play as Mia, I really enjoyed getting to see more of her personality and how she worked her way through her cases and how much of an impact that first case had on her. She should get spin offs too! Tbh, my favourite case was hers with Edgeworth because just as it had an impact on them with the suicide at the end, I also found it very interesting and engaging with how the case flowed and how it ended up all going downhill at the last moment. I feel like it was a really refreshing take amongst the usual cases. All in all, I would definitely recommend the trilogy because it really is so much fun! I’m so sad that it’s over tbh, I hope they port the other games, I want to see more!! A lot of the things are silly especially with introducing evidence out of nowhere and all that, but it just makes the whole story so much more entertaining, so I think if you’re not crazy strict about how courts should be like and just want some law drama fun, this is probably the epitome of it, because I have to admit, it’s so satisfying to hear Phoenix and them shout “objection!” all the time haha. The dialogue is so witty, cool and fun that it really makes the game such a highlight with how the prosecutor and defence attorney interact, and you just gotta love the silly judge adding his random comments hahaha. I miss it already😭
Fic, Illogical Nightmare
@cherrybonesrh13 requested a fic about Logic experiencing nightmares for the first time after an unfortunate event in college. This is great, because it gives me the opportunity to project all my problems onto him. Also, the tumblr font makes that title look like it has three lowercase Ls and I am not happy about it.
Tip Jar
Warnings? There are nightmares and panic. Not a panic attack. Just panic. There is also a mention of drowning, but it is not described. Also, it has 2,246 words. Fic under the cut.
Dreams make no sense. They are not predictable. They do not predict future events. However, there is some evidence that they help us think through things. Abstract things that the conscious mind may not fully process.
Not for the first time, Logan was both thankful for and hated the fact that he lived as a part of a mind. On the one hand, nobody heard him waking up with a scream of terror because he didn’t want them to hear him. On the other hand, occasionally things here made even less sense than in the real world, and Logan needed things to make sense.
He sat up in his bed in a cold sweat and tried to quickly regain his composure. It had happened again. The nightmare. The only one he had ever experienced.
After a moment he determined that it was pointless to attempt to sleep again and went to take a shower. He technically didn’t need to shower, but he found it helpful. He turned the water as cold as it would go and stood under it, trying to shake off the feelings that were invading his mind like a virus.
After Thomas and the others woke up he made his way through the mindscape, doing his job as usual and trying to get the images out of his head.
As he turned around a corner with his clipboard in hand, he ran into Roman, walking around the corner at at unacceptable speed.
Only Logic was knocked over. His clipboard and coffee went flying and he heard Roman cry out “Ah! My shirt!”
“Would you prioritize correctly for once in your existence?!” Logic said as he angrily began picking up his papers.
“Oh, my fault. You are right,” Roman said.
Roman held out his hand as Logic finished gathering his papers and thankfully undamaged coffee mug. Logic took the hand up, but was still obviously miffed.
“Would you mind telling me why you were walking around corners in such a dangerous fashion?” He asked the Prince.
“Well, I was looking for you actually. We had another nightmare last night. A reoccurring one actually, and seeing as I have not been able to find why for almost seven years now, I have, quite frankly, run out of options,”
Logan adjusted his papers and began to take note of the ones that he was going to have to remove coffee stains from. After a moment he spoke. “I don’t know why you are coming to me with this particular issue. I do not dream, as you know. That is one problem solving process I play no part in,”
Prince smiled and appeared as regal as ever, but an expert on him could tell he was unsure. “So you claim. However, seeing as neither of the others has ever had this particular nightmare, and it is not a fear I have, that only leaves you, and I have long suspected you. Yes, I am sure you would agree that I have no options left,”
Logan took off down the hall but threw back, “We can discuss this later, Roman. I am busy,”
Morality was happily placing memories in a scrapbook when Roman appeared next to him.
“Oh, hey Roman! Are you here to see my latest nostalgia book? This one has…”
“Not now Morality, I am on a mission!” Roman announced dramatically.
Patton jumped up from his seat and clapped his hands together. “Oh boy! How can I help?”
“We had a nightmare again last night. The reoccurring one I told you about,”
“Well, Thomas doesn’t remember it, kiddo. I know because I’m feeling fine! Which one was it? The one with the cats?”
Roman looked confused. “Morality, we have not had that dream since Thomas was ten years old. In all honesty, I had forgotten about it,”
“Oh,” Morality looked disappointed. “Which one was it then?”
“The one I have been telling you about for several years now. It happens every few months. At least once a year. Thomas is back at college. He is handed back an essay. There are rude and probably untrue comments written all over the page in red ink. Then the paper begins bleeding until the room is full and Thomas is drowning. Every time it happens, it is incredibly distressing, and every time it happens you claim that Thomas does not remember it. Why?”
Patton paused for a second. His smile became slightly strained, like it did when he was feeling confused.
Soon the silence became too long.
“Um, Patton? If you do not have a solution I can be on my way,”
“Um, yes. Sorry buddy. I’m just gonna go back to scrap booking here,”
Roman sighed and sunk down to a different level of the mindspace.
Anxiety was going through a messy stack of papers in his room, seemingly with a purpose. After several minutes of searching he found what he was looking for.
“Oh yeah. Seventh grade improv mess up. That was embarrassing. You’ve always been a moron Thomas,”
Anxiety was about to go and remind Thomas of this particular embarrassing moment when his stack of papers went flying everywhere and he wheeled around to see Roman batting Anxiety’s papers out of his line of vision.
“Hey! What are you doing in my dreamspace you moron? And could you watch where you pop up? I just reorganized that!”
Roman smiled deviously. “We all know that you don’t organize anything, Anxiety,”
“Alright, why don’t you just tell me why you’re here so I can get you out of my room?”
Roman side-stepped out of what was left of the paper pile. “What are these anyways?”
Anxiety’s expression didn’t change. “Receipts,”
“For what?” Prince asked, now mildly frustrated.
“Embarrassing moments. Stuff we did wrong. I’ve got more in the closet, wanna see?”
“I would rather not,” Roman said, slightly disgusted.
“Then get out of my room,”
“Alright, I’ll make this quick. Does Logic experience nightmares? I have experienced that bleeding essay nightmare again, and if you never experience it, and Morality never experiences it, I am at a loss,”
Anxiety put his headphones on. “That’s the only one he’s got.” he said before snapping his fingers and vanishing from the room without a trace.
Logic was relaxing for a few minutes reading a book when Roman appeared in front of him.
“What is it now, Roman?” Logan asked, not taking his eyes off the book.
“What are you afraid of?” Roman asked.
“Fear is illogical,”
The prince folded his arms in a condescending manner. “And what, exactly, is at the bottom of the ocean?”
Logan closed his book with a snap. “Okay, point taken. What can I help you with?” he asked.
Roman perched next to Logic on the couch. “Logan my friend, you and I are more alike than you realize,”
“What does this have to do with anything?” Logan asked, almost bored.
“Would you not shy away from your feelings for once in your life? We are both abstract thought. We are both essential to the creating process,”
“Why are you reiterating information I already know?”
“Logan, dreams have a purpose. I do not only focus on hopes. I take dreams we have during our sleep and I find the cause of them. Things Thomas, the conscious mind, does not have to think about, but the subconscious mind does,” He put a friendly hand on Logan’s shoulder. “If you do not tell me what is happening, it will not stop. The dream will keep coming, and we will both be drowning in red ink forever. It is not a pleasant sensation, Logan. Drowning is not fun,”
Logic closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Fine. Will I have to tell the others as well?”
“Oh, yes. Of course,”
“I guessed you would say that,”
They all sat around a dining table. Logic couldn’t help but conjure up visions of people gathered in one place for an intervention.
Anxiety looked around as nobody said anything, then he broke the silence. “Look, if you don’t wanna tell them, then should I?”
“I would rather you did not,” Logan said.
“It’s okay Logan,” Patton said, “Take your time,”
Logan cleared his throat and began.
“It is true what I have told you in the past. I do not dream. At least, I do not normally dream. Most nights I spend completely blank. Or, I do not sleep and go to process information or things of that sort. Before one particular incident seven years ago, I could not even comprehend what dreaming was like. Now I do not have a positive perception of it, because the one and only dream I have ever experienced is a hyper realistic nightmare,”
“I know,” Anxiety said.
“That is not helpful,” Logic said.
“Just adding to the conversation,” Anxiety said.
Logan took another breath and continued. “Anyhow, the incident in question was an essay Thomas wrote in a science class. I… I put so much effort in to that essay. The class was required for general education, and I found it especially difficult. It was the first time Thomas had ever written a failed essay that we actually put effort into. I cannot lie. It was incredibly distressing,”
“That is all?” Roman asked. “That is why I can still smell ink?”
Logic adjusted his glasses. “I’ll admit I can see no reason for this dream. Thomas did pass the class in the end, and school is far in the past, but it keeps happening. The first time it happened, I showed far more emotion than is appropriate for someone of my occupation. Even after I experienced it today, when I should be used to it, I woke up quite suddenly with a yell. It makes no sense,”
“He means he woke up screaming and cried for twenty minutes,” Anxiety said.
“Once again,,” said Logan, “that is not helpful,”
“Awww. Buddy,” Morality said, trying to give Logic a hug.
“Please, do not touch me,” Logic said, shooing Patton away with his hand.
“Well, I think we can work through this,” Roman said. “Next time it happens, I shall be ready,”
“Nah, I don’t think so,” Anxiety said.
“Do you ever cause any useful nightmares to happen?” Roman asked.
Anxiety smiled. “You tell me, Princey. You’re the one that’s supposed to be sorting through them,”
About a month later, it happened.
Thomas was sitting in a classroom waiting as a professor handed back papers. As the professor reached him a spotlight turned on and the rest of the students vanished. He was about to take the essay when all of a sudden it was not all of Thomas sitting there, but Logan.
Logic looked himself up and down. What? Was he in control? The professor pointed the essay at him even harder. The red ink written all over it started to bleed.
Suddenly, another spotlight went on. There was Roman, standing on the desk in front of him holding out his hand.
“Do you trust me?” he asked.
Despite the terrifying situation, Logic sighed. “Everything has to be a Disney reference with you, doesn’t it?”
He took Roman’s hand and the other side helped him on to the desk. The professor had disappeared and there was now a steady stream of ink coming out of the essay on the floor.
“Now what happens?” Logic asked.
“We conquer it!” Princey announced.
Without any warning, he scooped Logan up into a fireman’s carry and began to jump from desk to desk.
Logan struggled. “Would you put me down? I am perfectly capable of moving!”
When Roman put him down, he saw that the classroom had grown exponentially in size. The window now looked like it was a mile away and the desks were floating on an ocean of red ink.
“You really have some very deep issues, Logan,” Prince said.
“Apparently so,” Logic said, taking in the size of the room. “Now what do we do?”
“We keep going!” Prince cried.
The two men held hands as they jumped from one desk to another. More than once, one of them nearly fell into the sea of ink and had to be pulled up by the other.
After what felt like hours, the room was nearly full of ink and they were doubled over as they jumped. At last, they reached the window.
“Close your eyes and hold your breath,” Roman announced. “I shall save us, but you have to trust me,”
Logan fought back tears as he thought about drowning in that sea of thick red liquid again, but he kept his composure.
“Very well. I trust you,”
Logic pinched his nose, held his breath, and took a leap of faith.
Roman held the teacher by his waist with one hand and paddled with the other. He felt around in the thick red sea for a window latch. He found one and pried it open. The window burst open, spewing all of the desks, the thick red ink, and the two personality traits out of the classroom.
Logic rolled onto his back on the now red grass outside the window.
“Roman? Are you there? All I can see is red,”
A friendly hand just as wet and gross as his own gripped his arm.
“I am here, nerd. Everything is alright. You do not have to worry about this again,”
“Thank you, Roman,” Logic mumbled, as the dream faded to black.
And from what anyone can tell, Logan hasn’t had a dream since.
Taehyung’s Point of View
“So what’s up with you? I know you’re living that celebrity life but I know there must be something other than a busy schedule in your life.” Jihye says as he looks at me and I looked down.
I’ve been wanting to mention Y/N to her but what was the point? I don’t know if I should even like Y/N. We haven’t know each other for a long but I can’t help but to feel comfortable around her. Everytime I see her I just want to spend the rest of my day with her. But is it to early to like her?
“Tae?”
I shook my head and looked at Jihye.
“What?”
“What’s on your mind?” Jihye quickly questions me and I was going to lie to her and say nothing was wrong but I had no one to talk to about this situation.
If I keep saying I don’t like Y/N everytime she randomly pops in my head.. it’s clear to me that she is clearly in my mind for a reason..
“Well… There is a girl..”
As soon as I mentioned the word girl I noticed the way Jihye eyes brighten and the way she stared at me excitedly. I haven’t mentioned the words there is a girl in such a long time…
“Who is she!? Where did you two meet?! Is she an idol as well? Have you guys confessed each other feelings yet?! Is she single?! Or are you guys a couple already!? Come on tell me the 411!!!” Ji Hye asks as she blabbed her eyelashes up and down and I smiled.
“Her name is Y/N.. and no she’s not an idol… and she has no idea she made me fall head over heels for her…”
~
Your Point of View
Why did you suddenly feel so depressed? Why did you feel like you suddenly lost something, someone that wasn’t even yours in the first place? You were going to head back to the hotel room but you weren’t in the mood to be around anyone.
As you walked your way to the elevator you kept replaying the image of a girl approaching Taehyung and the two of them embracing right in front of your face.
“Why did I think I even had the chance to be with him?” You questioned yourself and just as the elevator doors were going to close, you see a hand stop the elevator doors from closing and you looked at the person walking in and there you are meeting a familiar face once again..
Those dimples are impossible to forget.
“Y/N?” Namjoon says as he looks at you and you smiled.
“Guess we meet again..” You laughed and he laughed along with you and he stood right next to you.
“Guess we do, it’s pretty funny how the world works.” Namjoon says and you smiled and nodded your head.
Well by the looks of things, you clearly had no plans at the moment and as much as you did wanted to be alone.. You thought maybe you should give Namjoon the time of day. You should take the time and get to know Nmajoon for who he really is. It wouldn’t hurt to maybe try to keep your mind busy instead of here thinking of Taehyung.
“Hey.. Remember how you invited me to hang out?” You asked Namjoon and he quickly looks at you and smiles.
“Yeah what about it?”
“Is that offer still open?” You questioned him.
~
Even though hanging out with Namjoon isn’t what you technically had in mind, you were kind of relieved that you weren’t left alone because you probably would've been lost in your thoughts and you hated that feeling. Getting lost in your thoughts could sometimes be the worst feeling especially when you start to think negative thoughts instead of positive ones..
“Is this like your hiding spot?” Namjoon questions you as he takes a seat right next to you on the edge of the roof and you smiled.
“Something like that... I mean it’s nice coming up here and just looking at the view right in front of you.” You responded and instead of Namjoon looking at the view you could feel his eyes glued to you.
“You seem out of it, what’s up?” You were actually surprised that Namjoon was able to read your body language and tell that something was up. Usually people would think you’re okay and there is nothing wrong, but only if the person barely knows you.
“Nothing...”
“I mean I know I don’t know you well yet, but however I could there is something bothering you.. And I know it’s none of my business, but it’s better getting something of your chest by talking to someone who barely knows you about your problems.” Namjoon says causing you to slightly smile and you nodded your head.
You didn’t have to mention Taehyung name.. It would be so easier to make up a random name.
“You’re right... But are you sure you’re up for listening to some boring problems from a girl?” You questioned him and Namjoon nods his head.
“I mean if it helps you smile again, I’m willing to hear you out.”
Was Namjoon flirting with you?
“Get ready a long night.”
“I’m up for it.” Namjoon responds and that’s when you began to tell him your situation.
~~
Taehyung’s Point of View
At last I didn’t have to have my feelings bottled up. It felt good opening up to someone about my feelings but still I know I should tell Y/N my feelings towards her myself... But isn’t it too early? What if Y/N doesn’t feel the same way?
I should pay attention to her body language.. I should see when it’s the right time to be able to tell her I like her..
“She’s a pretty special girl, isn’t she?” Jihye says as the two of us continued to walk closer the elevator and I smiled.
“She is... At last I met a girl who doesn’t like me because of the famous V they see on tv.. She didn’t even know I was in a group.” Before I could continue on Jihye cuts in.
“She liked you for who you were, right?” Jihye asks me and I quickly nodded my head.
“She did... but I don’t know if she likes me more than a friend... I don’t know if she sees me as a man.” I confessed and Jihye stops me from walking and placed both of her hands on my shoulders. I continued to stare at her in her face and she smiled.
“Taehyung.”
“Hmm.”
“I know you’re worried that Y/N won’t like you more than a friend... But if you open up and tell her how you feel.. who knows an unexpected twist can happen and she’ll like you too...”
“But what if she doesn’t like me?” I quickly question Jihye and she smiles.
“Then it’s her lost.”
I was just scared of getting rejected. I don’t know if it’s too soon to confess feelings but maybe confessing could lead to more... I won’t know until I try..
The two of us got into the elevator and I leaned against the wall thinking to myself about Y/N till that’s when I remember... I still had a charm from a maid. I pulled the small charm out of my pocket and just stared at it.
“What are you looking at?” Jihye asks as she looks over at my hand and I lowered my hand giving her a better view.
“Well, I went to my room to grab my wallet... and there was this strange maid.. I don’t know.. she didn’t let me see her face so she ran off and while running off this charm was on the ground.”
Jihye got a hold of the charm and then looked at me.
“Have you tried to look for the rightful owner?”
“No?” I blurted that out as a question and Jihye shook her head.
At last the elevator door opened on the fifth floor and I was just going to say bye to Jihye and go to my room JIhye looks at me and smiles.
“I would try to find the owner if I were you. I’m sure she’s worried.”
I smiled and stepped out and we both waved goodbye to one of another.
~
Your Point of View
To be honest... you never expected to be up the roof with Namjoon just talking about whatever came in mind. After telling Namjoon about your little crush.. he seemed understanding.. He actually helped..
“Well if he has a girlfriend... it’s sucks to say this but sometimes we gotta let our crush go. I mean crushes are called a crush for a reason, feelings appear and then they get crushed at the end because the person you like doesn’t feel the same way about you... I know this is not the best advice and I know I could give you better advice but you’re too beautiful to keep worrying about a guy who isn’t interested in you.. Who knows you’ll maybe even meet a guy who will like you for you.”
Namjoon was calming to be around. You felt completely comfortable. You felt like he was someone you can have 2am conversation with about life..
“You’re right....” You paused and then looked at him.”Namjoon.”
As you mentioned his name he looked up and looked at you.
“Hmm?”
“Have you ever had a crush?”
He chuckles and nods his head.
“Haven’t we all?”
He was right. Why would you ask such a silly question like that. You just laughed it off and then looked at him.
“Thank you.”
“For what?” He quickly questioned you and you looked back at the view.
“For listening to me... I needed that.”
You felt a hand on your shoulder and you looked to your right and Namjoon was staring right at you.
“I know you met Taehyung first, but if you ever need moments like this.. Just give me a call.. I’ll make time for you.” He smiled and you couldn’t help but to look at his dimples and smile as well.
It’s nice to know you can easily call someone up and just have someone to talk to.
~
Taehyung’s Point of View
“I’m back,” I announced as I opened the door to my hotel room hoping to find all the boys waiting all together for me but as soon as I walked in I quickly looked around and noticed one person missing.
“Hey! Where have you been?” Jimin asks me but instead of answering his question I completely ignored his questioned and asked a question myself.
“Where’s Namjoon?” I asked and all the boys shrugged except for Yoongi.
“Oh he texted me and said that he was going to hang out with Y/N.”
What?
Didn’t Y/N say that she was busy? Did she blow me off to spend some time with Namjoon? Does she not like me?
“Do you know where?” I asked Yoongi and he shrugged and quickly slipped on his headphones.
I know I don’t have the right to be jealous or mad but I couldn’t help but to become curious all of sudden. Like why did Y/N not agree to spend time with me? Did I say something wrong? Why is she all of sudden distancing herself from me..
I walked out of the hotel room and I grabbed my phone and I clicked on Namjoon’s name and his phone began to ring.
Where could the two possibly be?
The ringing continued to go on till I looked up and noticed Namjoon and Y/N both exiting the elevator together smiling. I hanged up and I was going to walk over to the two but I stopped and couldn’t help but to overhear their conversation.
“I really needed that. Thank you once again.” Y/N says as she smiles at Namjoon and I could see Namjoon smiling as he rubbed the back of his neck.
“I hope we can do this again.”
“For sure,”
I noticed Y/N walk up to Namjoon and the two pulled each other into a hug and I couldn’t help but to feel hurt. I mean did Y/N have a crush on Namjoon this whole time? How did I not notice that in the first place?
I looked down and turned my back.
“Taehyung?”
I heard my name being called but.. Did I really want to face the two right now?
