Bc of all this stuff of "Billy is the first gay character in the MCU", I have decided to compile a list of queer characters in the MCU, sorted by date so y'all know who the actual firsts are

The conditions are thus:

It is confirmed in the project by either the character themselves or by another person. Maybe they speak of a partner, or say "I'm gay" onscreen

It is confirmed outside of the project by a director, actor, writer, etc. The specific thing about this is that it must be spoken about openly, not just "oh I like that idea!". No, it must be said, "yes, we intended for this" "this character is queer", you get the idea. This means cases like where Chloe Bennet voiced support for an openly bi Daisy Johnson in "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." will not be counted, for while she does like it, she doesn't confirm Daisy as bi

The project must be set in the MCU timeline. If it is the subject of a multiverse, then that must be when the multiverse started branching out. "Deadpool and Wolverine" counts, but all other X-Men movies will not count

With these conditions, it also means cases like Iceman will not be considered, as even though him being a mutant is written like a coming out scene, he is still treated as being entirely het

Ugh do you want to know what Deadpool/Wolverine and Eddie/Venom have in common that make me love them so much?

Not a lot.

But there is actually one thing. Sorta.

For Eddie and Venom they share this commonality of being essentially loners/rejects of their respective societies and that find solace in each other especially considering how much they care for each other when no one else in the world does. Like they might fight and they might spend time apart (both comic and movie adaptations) but at the end of the day they are always together and they care for each other. The two of them are possibly the closest things to soulmates marvel has ever gotten to.

When it comes to Deadpool and Wolverine it’s the fact that these two love sooo sooo fiercely and are doomed to watched the ones they love the most die. This has been a little bit more of Logan’s reality than Wade’s but that doesn’t mean that tide won’t eventually come for the merc and doesn’t me he hasn’t lost people too. And isn’t it just romantic that these two nearly immortal beings will basically never have to worry about each other and they can just…love each other with out worrying about the sands of time or even mortality itself?

In my opinion, the commonality of these two ships is that each pairing found the person who gives them the *exact* thing they need because they weren’t going to find it anywhere else. Either because it was impossible in dp/wolverine’s case (because how many other people would you find that are immortal?) or because had the two of them not met their stories would have ended much more tragically (because they both would have died) such as in Eddie/venom’s case.

And it always just makes me so happy to know that in one way or another, they found someone who loves them and who will carry them when they need it most.

I was really bored earlier, so I just did some random tierlist for marvel comics characters online. I'm not too committed to my rankings or anything, but I spent time doing it while bored, so I may as well share it. I will say: S was where I put the three characters I know I relate to, A-B were for characters I really like, C was for ones I mildly like or they I'm neutral on, and anything from D-F was for people I either don't know much about or that I hate (or sometimes both).

We don’t even get proper confirmation that he’s a maximoff until Childrens Crusade in the comics why are they rushing it in the MCU??

I have a few complaints about how the YA (especially the twins) are being treated in the MCU, but like this change I can’t justify hating aside from the fact it just don’t feel right
