I'm grieving the disappearance of Gu Mang wolfpup self. I'm after the Time Mirror part and Gu Mang returned with some of his memories. I miss Gu Mang. I miss his pov that I'll never get anymore (probably if no one take his memories again). He was a different person that only got to live like three years with baggage and sins and grievances from a life he didn't remember and even understand for that matter. He only got some months to live with like two people who treated him kind of well. The moment he was told what he did, even if he doesn't remember it, he ask for forgiveness and the chance to repent. He kneels in front of every tomb. He want to do good even for day.
I like the "original" Gu Mang but I got attached to the him with no memories.

CHAPTER ONE: FAMILIAR FACES
Y/N was always one to follow her dreams. Originally her dream was to become an astronaut but she soon found that she wasn’t smart enough for that. That’s when she found herself falling down the route of art. Y/N had always been a gifted artist since she was a child. While everyone in her class was drawing stick figures and calling it a day, Y/N would take time to get the proportions of the body right. People would always say she was trying too hard or just trying to get attention. Y/N didn’t care - she was doing what she loved.
It wasn’t until high school where she began to take art more seriously, people would come to her to do art commissions. At first Y/N refused, she didn’t want to charge people for her art but once she realised how much she could make from it, doing art commissions became her job. Throughout high school it was her main source of income. However, it wasn’t until the end of high school where Y/N decided that art was the thing she definitely wanted to go down.
Opening up her own gallery became her dream. A couple of years after breaking up with Spencer Reid, Y/N moved to England. She didn’t exactly know why, all she knew was that she wanted a fresh start. Y/N moved into a small flat in Cornwall. It was perfect for what Y/N needed. She spent just over ten years of her life living in Cornwall and Y/N couldn’t be happier, however there were many instances where she missed her family. Y/N could never afford to constantly go between England and America and neither could her family. A lot of her time was spent on phone calls and video calls with her family.
It was only recently that Y/N moved back to America. Six months to be exact. After nearly eleven years of being away from her family constantly, Y/N decided to move back to America. She didn’t make the decision lightly, it took her many months to come to the conclusion. Y/N had many friends in England. She had her small art gallery. Most importantly, her daughter had her friends in England and her school - everything she had ever known.
Y/N’s daughter, Harper, was seven and she was the light of Y/N’s life. Everything she did was for Harper. Y/N didn’t want to pry Harper away from her home, but she wanted her to get to know her family. When Y/N told Harper the news, Harper was excited, she had always been a curious girl and moving to a new country was exciting for her.
“Mummy!” Harper yelled, running out of her room to Y/N who was sitting on the couch. Her daughter’s accent was a little messed up. Some words would come out in an American accent and some in a British accent - more specifically the Cornish dialect.
Y/N smiled upon seeing her daughter. As she ran, the wild curls on top of her head bounced up and down. Harper approached Y/N and climbed onto the couch next to her. Y/N wrapped her arm around her daughter and pulled her in close to her side.
“What’s got you so energetic?” Y/N questioned.
“Can we go to the park?” Harper asked, “You said that we could go today.”
Y/N checked the time on the clock on the wall, “You really want to go at ten in the morning? You don’t want to wait until midday then we can go out for lunch?”
“Can we go now? I’m bored.” Harper draped herself over Y/N’s lap dramatically.
Y/N shook her head, a smile on her face. Harper was definitely one for dramatics, something she inherited from her father.
“Okay, how about this?” Y/N started, “We wait until eleven and we can invite Melanie and Toby and we can go and get lunch with them?”
Harper nodded her head vigorously causing Y/N to chuckle slightly. The only reason as to why Y/N wanted to wait longer to go out was because she was waiting for Harper’s birthday present to turn up. It wasn’t her birthday for another three weeks but Y/N always wanted to leave time in case the package never turned up in case she needed to buy something else.
“Why don’t you go and play in your room and I’ll come and get you when it’s time to go?”
Harper nodded before running off to her bedroom down the hall. Checking the clock again, Y/N realised the package wouldn’t be here for another half hour. Deciding she had time to kill, Y/N made her way to her bedroom to get changed. If she was going to be out for most of the day, she decided that being in sweatpants and an old shirt wasn’t going to look so good.
Picking out a simple sundress, Y/N got changed in a flash before she found herself seated on the couch again. Over the last few days, Y/N had found herself being more tired than usual. Everything she did drained the life out of her, obviously she wanted to run around and play with Harper but she would tire out quickly. Harper would try not to get sad about it as she understood why Y/N got like this once a year. Y/N wasn’t going to explain it until Harper got a little older but she understood perfectly.
Grabbing her phone off of the coffee table, Y/N pressed on Melanie’s contact. Melanie had been Y/N’s friend for a while. They met a year before Y/N had moved to England, due to their long distance friendship, Y/N had expected that they would fall out of contact but they never did. Melanie was godmother to Harper and Y/N was godmother to Melanie’s son Toby.
The phone rang a few times before Melanie picked up.
“Hello?” Melanie’s voice came through the phone.
“Hey Mel!” Y/N greeted.
“Hey, what’s up?”
“Well Harper and I are going to the park in an hour and I was wondering if you and Toby would like to join us?”
“We’d love to,” Melanie answered, “Toby’s been pulling my leg asking when he would see Harper next.”
Y/N chuckled, “We’ll meet you at the park if that’s alright.”
“That’s more than fine, we’ll see you then.” Melanie responded before hanging up the phone.
Y/N tossed her phone back on the couch and slumped back down. She could easily turn on the television and watch something but she didn’t feel up to it. Getting back up from the couch, Y/N headed over to Harper’s room and pushed it open. Her daughter was hunched over her small desk, scribbling away on a piece of paper. Y/N smiled at the sight. Her daughter had taken after her in artistic skill, always having the dream that one day she would be as good as her mother.
“Hey Harp.” Y/N said, entering her room.
“Mummy, look I’ve done a drawing!” Harper said excitedly holding up the picture, “It’s the same one you painted.”
Y/N took the drawing out of Harper’s hands and held it up. Y/N had painted a landscape of a forest a few weeks ago and Harper had copied it almost exactly. Every time Y/N would do a commission or a painting for fun, there would always be smaller versions of the same painting but made with colour pencil. Sometimes Harper would sit next to Y/N while she was painting and they would do it together.
Y/N always enjoyed doing art with Harper by her side. She would constantly ask questions about it and Y/N was always more than happy to answer. From sitting next to her and watching her paint, Harper had been teaching herself how to paint. Y/N would always offer to help her but Harper always refused the help, letting Y/N only watch from a distance. Their whole house was filled with paintings from both Y/N and Harper.
“It’s incredible, Harp.” Y/N said crouching down, “Even better than mine.”
“No it isn't, your one is better.” Harper said, “Yours are always better. I want to be like you when I grow up.”
Y/N pressed a kiss to the side of Harper’s head, “I don’t want you to be like me, I want you to be like you. You are going to grow up and be an extraordinary person, like you already are.”
Harper hugged Y/N tightly, “I love you mummy.”
“I love you too, sweet girl.” Y/N pressed a kiss to the side of her head once more before she heard the doorbell ring.
“Is that Melanie and Toby?” Harper questioned.
“No, it’s someone else, Mel and Toby are meeting us at the park,” Y/N explained, “Now why don’t you clean up in here before we head out.”
Harper nodded before she began clearing everything away. Y/N headed out of her room and opened the front door. Y/N expected it to be Harper’s present however she was greeted by two people - more specifically FBI agents. Y/N looked between the two, very obviously confused.
When Y/N looked up at the male agent, her eyes widened the slightest amount. His hair was curlier and he had a slight stubble. He looked as if he filled out his clothes more as well. Even if it had been more than a decade, she could recognise him anywhere.

Hey! Thank you so much for your translations, especially the ones of Mo Yi from Themis! He's very much my bias but as a global player I struggle to find info on him, so your translations have helped me a lot! Tira sent me here w my Mo Yi questions, so I wanted to ask you how much do you read into Mo Yi's behaviour when he's alone? Do you think he carries an ominous vibe even when talking about the MC during those times?
Hello! This is suuuuper long and kinda rant-ish so I'll... put it under cut!
He does have an ominous vibe sometimes, but for good reason and never to harm. Like, it may seem like he knows more than he shows (but that's only what it SEEMS). While he might know what's more in your head than anyone else, he doesn't harbour any ill intentions! At first, he's also struggling to accept these feelings (what are feelings haha) and wonders if it's merely a mistake, or an illusion, but he soon grows to understand and accept that yes, it is genuine. So, when he is alone, he does those self-reflection things while talking into this dictaphone. (Which can sometimes be detatched, clinical, or heartfelt) Sometimes he talks in a dark way, but that's only because he feels like he's following in his father's footsteps and he hates that he is. His family's kinda dysfunctional so yes, he's also affected by that.
Alone, he muses. He picks at his own faults and mistakes himself much more than others.
If you're talking about the scene with the roses and he's on the phone, in that part he's portrayed ominously / kinda evil/ to add to the suspense. And while he may sound clinical and detached back then, it is only because he was giving a professional EVALUATION of MC as a "suitable candidate for NXX" to Zuo Ran over the phone. So while he may be all clipped and sharp edges there, he's not... like that deep down. (He also thinks that Zuo Ran's teacher had betrayed them, so this guardedness and jadedness also comes from that fresh wound bc he was someone they all trusted and they were newly betrayed, so he's very cautious.)
Although some things he do might be questionable (yes, he's a bit of an elitist and has sarcasm to the nines if prodded, but-) think of it this way, an eagle shoves their kid out of the nest to make them learn how to fly and survive. That's what he's doing. He doesn't coddle (overly) which is why sometimes he has that ominous vibe going on because he's gonna shove MC off... to help MC grow as a person to become better.
I'm also tired about people saying how he's red flag/sus because the story in ToT follows a TIMELINE and you are all at the START of it... (like how we were begging for the loaf at the beginning because all we got were crumbs... and trying to explain sometimes feels like I’m trying to talk to a brick wall)
For us down in the CN version, we'd tell you, yes he's kinda shady, but that's just his character, and NO HE'S NOT SUS!! There's SO MUCH MORE to him than that... (I'm begging you) The way he's jaded and the way his tongue is that sharp is only because of his upbringing and HIS PAST which will slowly be revealed... Just because he's a shrink doesn't mean he's instantly shady, alright? He might be one, but he wouldn't use those against MC, ever. Mind games are fine when directed to others, but to MC? Never. (but sometimes his elitist ass gets a little ... yeah. He's learning shh)
In other words, while Mo Yi has his own issues, he is... kind... willing to try all sorts of things with MC and willing to fight anyone who dares try to harm.. and also willing to change. this guy even bakes MC stuff all the time... and invites her to share tea (Even I personally wouldn't share mine?? unless we're close?) .... and so much more... (Sorry for the rant)

I just finished erha(2ha) or also known as Husky and His White Cat Shizun. And I needed come here talk a lil about my experience.
Part 1
Warning: Spoiler ahead. Sensitive topics being discuss. That's just my opinion. Don't kill me.
My rate:🌟4.0/5.0 (or 9.0/10.)
Let's start with...
Things that I loved in the plot, or arc or narrative.
In their Romance/Relationship:
Xia Sini arc.
Nothing to say. I just loved the whole arc. I felt it was a way of restart all with a more sweet, pure, innocent way, considering it gave the opportunity to them grow close, be friends, get to know better each other. I loved that.
Their first times having sex
I loved how MR focused on giving pleasure on CW, despite his desire. That was sweet
The Love Declaration
Nothing to say too. Just beautiful. (But my heart broken every time I heard CW saying "I'm ugly").
Mo Ran's Death
Loved that? You kidding me? I hated that. I cried like a baby, it hurted so much. But is was so beautiful and so tragic... I can't not even talk about that scene without getting emotional.
The End
I didn't like having Taxian Jun around, but I did loved how CW loved the whole MR. Those extras are just beautiful.
In the Plot:
Time travel.
I love so much a plot of time travel. Specially those that are different from the mostly. That you go back in time and change things but this doesn't affect the present, it creates a new timeline. I loved this.
Multiverse of Madness.
I'm Marvel fan so when I saw this plot I loved so much. Cause is exactly the same thing than in Marvel. In the show Loki is explained. I think if anyone didn't understand well that part of having two version of each, could watch Loki and understand better, even being different stories and in erha not be mentioned multiverse, the concept is the same. In Loki if you go back in time and change something that will create another world "copy" of the original, another timeline with that change in motion, but your present will remain, the way it remained to CW. But there will be two version of the same person, of each person. So I absolutely loved this.
The reason behind all/The villain goal.
I started the book already knowing about the flower. I didn't know how and why, I just knew MoRan was evil once because of some demonic flower. Because of my trauma with Maven from Red Queen, my suspect number one from the very first moment was the kind, sweet, complacent Shi Mei. However I never expected how much emotions I would feel around this. I loved that the goal of the bad guy was not something evil like domain/destroy the world. The villain is evil but his goal is good and understandable. The way those people suffered is was expected that one day someone would go crazy enough to do something about it. I felt so confused, cause for one side I wanted them to be okay, go home or something, on other hand the gates couldn't be open, but after it were open, after all was done and said, I did root for them, I root for them to enter, was too late anyway, how could I wish for they don't go home? So against all odds, I sided with the villain at this moment, I felt angry against that demon tbh, don't wanting let them enter. And after they entered, I felt happy about it and than, guilty cause they only was able to enter due to all that Hua BiNan did, all the genocide, he succeed, how can I be happy for him succeed? But in other hand, those people weren't bad, they just wanted to live, to live without fear of being killed in the mostly horrible way possible, how can I don't he happy about them being safe? And this is the mostly amazing thing about all this. Is one of the villain that I hated the mostly, but with a noble goal. I still don't know how to feel about all this. But I loved it. Well played Meatbun.
The villain
Talking about the goal. The other thing that I loved was the villain. I hate him. But he's the best villain I've seen on a fantasy book. He's complex. He kills without blink, he's responsible for numberless genocide, I never seen someone with so much blood on their hand before and still he thinks he didn't kill. Still despite his coldness, his goal is merely save his people, not even revenge, just take them home, still he don't think himself as a hero. Honestly I think he's very complex, complicated and really, really well written. When I started read and having my suspects, I remember thinking, if SM is really the villain he has a lot of potential if she knows what to do, and I'm so happy in being right with that gut feeling, he fulfilled his potential, I hated him, I felt disgusted by him, shocked by his coldness and evilness, than I understood him, felt reluctantly, compassion and pity, and I will never admit that I said that but when he died I felt some sort of respect for him be willing to give his life for his people, not respect for all he did, I despise all he did, but respect about he giving his life. None of those feelings cancelled the other. I admire him giving his life still hating and despising him and all he did. Even SM 2.0 I have, had trouble in forgive, I don't mind he ending up alive, but I still hate him too, cause he still threw the flower on MoRan. So the reason why he's the best villain I've ever seen is because he made me feel things. Don't know if my moral compass is broken, if my heart is too soft or too weird, but that how it went to me.
----*----
I'm quite aware that every book, even my fav of the fav, are not perfect. To me at least, I haven't read one book up to this day that I consider perfect. I think every book has defaults and problematics, is just up to each person decide what they can ignore what they can't. I have read Chronicles of Ice and Fire which is dark and full of problematic, so erha was not so hard to me. Still, ofc there's things I disliked, this just didn't harm my experience. So, with no more overdue, here's what I disliked the mostly.
The problematics that bothered me:
Wanning in love with MoRan when MR was only 16.
That did bother me but, I was able to ignore, because of a few things, first, WanNing is innocent, naive, his love is pure, because him himself is pure, with exception of that time that MR sliped in that bathtub place(I know is not a bathtub but I forgot the name lol) in which CW got er ya know, I don't remember other moments that CW feelings towards MR was sexual(in book one). Another thing was that MR had a adult mind, not just that but a crazy adult mind, he's the one who attacked CW, it was like CW being in dangerous rather than the other way around. Another things was that in the world of the book, 15 is the over age.
The rape scenes.
Not the arc of the rape, but the scenes itself. I didn't like how descriptive she was. Not just because of the emotional part, but because is kinda boring. I find even sex scenes too long boring sometimes. I found unnecessary the too long descriptions. But is something you can just skip.
Things I disliked, but it has to do with the narrative or plot and is related to my taste or pov(not a problematic, at least not to me):
Too much sexual tension in the second book.
This has to do with my taste, I'm not a big fan of hot, so I found boring that chapter after chapter we had only they with their sexual tense, one moment cute and more sexual tense. That and the lack of things happening was kinda boring too me. But don't get me wrong, is not like I hate all, I loved many moments. But about that too, another thing that bother me was how the author associated love with sex. And love and sex not always walks together. I mean ace people exists, they fall in love without the sexual part so, I didn't like that.
The final revelation.
MoRan be a Butterfly-Boned Beauty to me was a little thrown out of nowhere and too convenient. He's a rare type that shows no signals of be so, is convenient, I feel is something made up in the last moment just so he could come back to life. Is okay, but I just felt a little meh about that.
I miss a little more of development on XM.
I will talk about this when talking about the characters.
I miss a little bit more of reaction before the villain revelation/goal and the whole manipulation thing.
I feel MoRan is the mostly enlightened person ever, cause in no moment we have him feeling angry for being manipulated for so many years. In two lives. I missed having him dealing with this. The angry, the disappointment, the sorrow. The confusion maybe. This also applies to Xue Meng, even more maybe, cause his feelings for SM weren't messed up. He was so attached to his lil group, and seemed close to Shi Mei, so I missed he reacting to that. What I got from him is that he was in denial. Either way I feel only WanNing had a proper reaction to the revelation. Everyone else was a bit off about it. It lack depth on it.
Taxian Jun is still around.
I don't like the end, the part of TXJ still exiting, because once in every three days, MoRan will feel miserable again, paranoiac and broken and that makes me sad. He suffered so much he deserved be happy and well all the time.
This is it. That was the things that I disliked or bothered me regarding the plot, story, arc, narrative.
My favorite scenes, not necessarily scenes that I loved, more like scenes that made me feel something.
Mo Ran's death.
Sisheng Peak being destroyed and XM going crazy in kill mode.
Flashback of the flower being thrown.
The revelation of who is behind all, in the cave after the flower is gone.
The revelation about CW birth.(I scremed "he's pinocchio ahhh")
HBN death
TXJ sacrifice, when he becomes dust.(Btw I felt some parallel between those last two, them both holding up something, sacrificing themselves to a number of people escaping, both living under the trauma of their mother's death. I don't know the meaning behind, but I felt it was a parallel)
MoRan being saved by CW from that blood hourglass in book 1.
Mo Ran taking care of CW during the whole night in book 1.
MoRan taking care of Xia Sini.
That scene with Chu Xun.
The love declaration.
Part 2 is here

Gliding across the uneven surface of the ice skating rink Jungkook tried to pinpoint the weird warm feeling brewing deep inside his chest. His neck hurt from twisting it every other second to stare at the girl in a long puffer coat skating hand in hand with two of her friends. He felt his heart skip a beat as he managed to steal a glance at her goddess-like face while she was readjusting her white face mask.
“If I met her during summer would I feel any different?” he wondered, trying to seem subtle in checking out the nameless beauty as she passed him by on the ice. “No, I would be charmed just as hard by her with sweat running down her forehead and a hot breeze blowing through her hair like I am now seeing her in that ridiculously big scarf wrapped around her head,” he chuckled in his head as he scanned the knitted scarf she had on. “She’s just so undeniably beautiful.”
“Fuck-” he gasped as he skated right into the plastic wall surrounding the rink.
Within seconds Jimin was at Jungkook’s side helping him up as he laughed at his friend’s clumsiness. The younger boy waved off his teasing too preoccupied with looking whether his newest crush took notice of his embarrassing fall but to his disappointment, he discovered she was nowhere to be found. Assuming she must have already left he continued to skate with his friend letting the memory of this perfect girl take the backseat in his mind.
-
Answering a text from one of his friends Jungkook kept his eyes glued to the screen of his phone as he walked to the exit door of the skating rink. Holding the device in one hand he ran the other one through his dark locks right before he collided with someone’s back.
A high pitched yelp escaped the girl’s lips as the boy’s tall frame made contact with the back of her puffer coat. The paper cup she was holding tilted in her mitten covered hands spilling all its contents onto the ground.
“Sorry,” Jungkook whined sadly in Korean but quickly corrected himself and repeated the same word in English as he noticed who he just ran into.
“It’s okay,” the unnamed beauty from earlier answered in his native language.
Overwhelmed with the sudden proximity to his mysterious crush he found himself in and the sweet tone of her voice he let the words that came to his mind spew out of his mouth without much thought.
“You speak Korean?” he blurted out.
“Yes,” she groaned, glancing at the puddle of coffee beneath her feet. “And you spilt my drink.”
The boy’s widened eyes travelled down to the remains of the beverage and he immediately felt his cheeks burn as well as his breathing becoming more shallow.
“I’m so sorry,” he muttered, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly as she looked up and into his eyes.
Her vibrant irises shined beautifully in the artificial lighting in the area surrounding the rink. Both having half of their faces hidden under their contrasting in colour face masks they couldn’t see each other’s expressions for which Jungkook was deeply thankful as his jaw dropped lower with every second he spent looking at the girl.
“Let me buy you another one,” he said, gesturing towards the stand Yn got her now gone drink from.
“That’s not what I- you don’t have to,” she stuttered out slightly taken aback by his offer.
“I insist.”
His charming smile spread from his lips to his eyes. Noticing the glimmer of hope and kindness in them Yn decided to take him up on the offer and followed him to the hot beverages stand. After Jungkook put in the order for the coffee refill he couldn’t help himself and started chatting the girl up asking all about her past, present and future, desperate to not only find out anything more about her other than the fact she was breathtakingly beautiful but also get her to give him her number.
-
“What do you want to do on Sunday?”
Jungkook shifted on the bed with his eyes glued to the screen of his phone. Next to him, his girlfriend was frozen in a similar position. Her head was hanging low as she scrolled through her Instagram feed.
The relation between the two was rather new, they’ve only been dating for a little over two months. However, as the mid of February was coming up Jungkook couldn’t stop his mind from coming up with different scenarios on how they’ll spend their first Valentine’s Day together.
Traditionally in Korea, the love focused holidays are gender-specific. February fourteenth was for celebrating boys and the same day of March was for girls. Nevertheless, Jungkook didn’t want to wait another thirty days for a perfect excuse to have an extra romantic and cheesy date with Yn.
“I don’t know,” she murmured playing with one of the strings of her hoodie. “What do you want to do on Sunday?”
The boy smirked, taking her intonation of the words as a prompt. He set his phone down and rested his chin on her shoulder bringing his lips close to her cheek.
“Take you out somewhere fancy and spoil you all day long,” he purred before laying a quick peck on her warm skin.
“I like the sound of that,” Yn chuckled reaching her hand to intertwine with his. “Why Sunday though? Can’t we go out on Friday or something?”
“What- but Sunday is Valentine’s Day,” Jungkook stuttered surprised.
“It’s- oh, I totally forgot about that,” Yn murmured far from sounding anything close to interested.
“You forgot about Valentine’s Day?” the boy scoffed with a soft chuckle as his eyes travelled up and down his girlfriend’s profile. “How?”
“It never held much weight in my mind,” she explained. “I always thought that love should be celebrated every day and not just on some special occasion.”
Amused by the girl’s disinterest in the whole ordeal Jungkook felt a smirk grow across his face. His relationship with Yn was still new and fresh there were still so many things for them to learn about each other and he loved getting to know her.
“Hm,” he hummed.
“What?” she asked, glancing at him briefly.
“Nothing,” he answered her quickly knowing it’ll get a rise out of her.
“What?” she repeated, discarding her phone and turning to face him as they laid on the bed together.
“Nothing,” he said fumbling with her fingers in his hand. “I just think it’s stupid,” he smiled hearing her inhale sharply at his bluntness. “Of course, love should be celebrated every day but Valentine’s is a great excuse to celebrate it extra hard.”
“You must have hit yourself ‘extra hard’ on the head if you think so,” Yn laughed, knocking her index finger on his forehead.
Instead of pushing her hand away like he would if it was one of his Hyungs doing the teasing gesture he grabbed her wrist pulling it up. With one more swift movement of his hips, he was laying on top of the girl. He held her hands above her head as he towered over her with a teasing grin.
“Wait and see. I’ll prepare something so extra hard you’ll start wishing it was Valentine’s Day every day.”
“Is that a threat?” she giggled and he lowered his face to hers making their lips meet in a passionate kiss.
“You’ll have to wait and find out,” he said smiling after their mouths parted.
“I’ll wait but don’t get your hopes up.”
-
“Stay over,” Jungkook purred into his girlfriend’s neck as he hugged her from behind.
Yn stopped in her tracks, her hand already on the doorknob, letting herself enjoy the warmth of his chest against her back. The boy’s hands travelled down the sides of her body before resting right over her stomach.
“I don’t like sleeping with all of your Hyung’s in the apartment,” she giggled as her fingers grazed over the skin on his forearms lazily. “I feel that they don’t approve of it,” she added half-joking.
“They’re fine with it,” he pressed hoping to change her mind. “They just don’t like when we’re being loud,” the girl turned in his arms with the speed of light.
“You said no one heard us!” she whisper-yelled referring to one especially steamy night they spent in the boy’s bedroom a couple of weeks back.
“Namjoon might have heard something,” Jungkook chuckled seeing how startled he managed to make her feel.
“Jungkook!” she hissed trying to push him away but that only made him tighten the clasp of his hands behind her back.
“It’s no big deal,” he said smirking with amusement while Yn rested her forehead against his chest in resignation and utter embarrassment.
“For you, it isn’t,” she murmured, keeping her head hanging low. “I’m never coming over again.”
“I guess we’ll have to hang out at yours then,” the boy proposed before letting go of her to gather the things he might need for the night. “I’m tired and I will not fall asleep without cuddles tonight.”
Yn crossed her arms over her chest. A teasing grin made it’s way onto her pretty face while she watched her boyfriend stuff a pair of sweatpants into his backpack.
“You’re tired and you’re going to take the forty-minute subway ride to mine at” -she checked the time on her phone- “eleven at night?” Jungkook straightened up raising his brow at her.
“Don’t be silly,” he said, wrapping her hand in his and giving her forehead a quick peck. “I’m driving us.”
-
Yn batted her eyelashes lazily as she opened her eyes hearing the sound of a picture being taken. With sleep still fogging up her vision she slowly made out her boyfriend's frame. Jungkook lied on his side facing her with his phone in his hands. He smiled at the smaller version of his girlfriend visible on the screen before him.
“You look so pretty in the morning,” his voice was still a little raspy from just waking up. “I wish you stayed over more often so we could wake up together,” he whined sweetly, pulling on the hem of one of his t-shirts she wore to bed the night before.
“Sorry, babe,” she murmured letting her eyelids fall again. “I’m not going to show my face at the dorms ever again,” Jungkook scoffed out a weak chuckle at the sound of her dramatic statement.
“But your apartment is so far away from the studio,” he complained jokingly, scooting close enough to her so their legs intertwined.
Yn opened her eyes slightly to steal a glance at the boy. His lips were a little chapped, his hair a total mess splattered all over the pillow yet she found him nothing short of breathtakingly handsome. She reached her hand from under the covers and brushed some of the dark locks of his hair back from his face before leaning in and placing a quick peck on his lips.
“Get used to the drive. I refuse to be in the same apartment as Namjoon. It’s too embarrassing,” she said, hoping the slight chuckle in her voice masked the fact she really did feel ashamed that someone heard her and Jungkook going at it.
“Ah, you’re being silly,” her boyfriend sighed, finding her discomfort very amusing. “If anything he’s lucky he heard us-”
“Stop it!” she squealed, punching his shoulder jokingly.
Jungkook broke out in a mixture of laughter and fake cries of pain. He wrapped his arms around the girl pulling her onto his chest as he turned to lay on his back. Forced to face him Yn smiled cheekily before laying a peck on the tip of his nose.
“What do you want for breakfast?” she frowned hearing his question.
“This is my house. I’ll be the one cooking,” Jungkook rolled his eyes with the cutest bunny-like smile plastered across his face.
“But I want to be nice to you,” he groaned.
“Be nice and tell me what you want to eat,” the girl giggled while pushing herself up to straddle his waist.
As she sat up with her hands resting against the boy’s chest she could feel his racing heartbeat. She opened her mouth to joke about it but the words never came out. Her smiling expression was replaced by a slightly surprised one when an alarming smell made its way to her nostrils.
“Is something burning? Jungkook’s eyes widened and he abruptly pushed her off his lap.
Yn yelped falling onto the mattress as her boyfriend cursed loudly already in the other room. She stood up from the bed and when reaching for a hoodie to throw on to cover herself from the cold she noticed a bouquet of white roses set on her vanity in a clear vase. Without much time to investigate the matter, she left the flowers behind and rushed after the boy.
Right as she stepped outside the bedroom she was practically in the kitchen. What agents liked to describe as a cosy open concept apartment Yn prefered to call by its real name - a tiny flat with a closed-off nook for a bedroom and everything else but the bathroom piled onto each other in the only actual room in the place. She cracked open one of the windows to get rid of the smoke that came out in large clouds from the strange-looking device Jungkook was fanning off with both his hands on the kitchen counter.
“What is this?” Yn coughed, waving her hand in front of her face to get rid of the smoke.
The boy shot her an apologetic stare before going back to trying to pry open the toaster-like device. Yn looked around the area confused but her next questions got caught in her throat as she noticed the transformation that her apartment went through when she was still sound asleep.
The low coffee table was set for two. Cut up fruit, whipped cream and other goodies were put out next to the neatly arranged plates. Next to the small TV burned her favourite scented candles and the screen was lit up with the Netflix logo on black background.
“Jungkook? the girl asked, turning back to him. “Jungkook?” she repeated, watching him pick at a burnt waffle with a fork.
“I’m sorry,” he sighed, dropping the utensil into the sink. “I tried. I really did,” he whined tiredly, running one of his hands through his messy hair. “I got you this- this waffle maker,” he chuckled nervously, gesturing to the device on the counter.
As their stares met Jungkook noticed how soft Yn’s eyes seemed. The overwhelming warmth radiating from her loving expression made him relax his tensed up shoulders. He exhaled loudly when she walked up to him, putting his hands in hers and jumped straight into explaining the whole situation.
“It started with our first date,” he said and started recalling the events of that night.
After exchanging numbers in the ice skating rink Jungkook didn’t waste time and texted Yn the same night, asking her out on a date. Pleasantly surprised by his forwardness the girl agreed to see him the following week. The two ended up taking a long walk through the city and doing a cafe marathon, sharing multiple desserts from ice cream, cupcakes and coffee, to waffles. The last ones Yn raved about for a good twenty minutes after eating, praising the taste and the choosing of toppings.
“You said you’d love to have your own waffle maker and eat Nutella waffles at home,” the boy murmured, looking at their intertwined fingers. “So I got you one and wanted to surprise you with a cute ass breakfast but I got distracted and- well, you see what happened,” Jungkook whined dropping his forehead to her shoulder.
He felt defeated and embarrassed but somehow the feeling of her fingers grazing over his knuckles slowly made him feel better. Yn reached one of her hands up running it through the hair on the back of his head. Looking over the boy’s shoulder she noticed the waffle he tried to save earlier.
“Heart-shaped waffle maker?” she whispered with a grin as she eyed the burned dough on the counter.
In response, Jungkook simply groaned and wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her closer. The girl giggled running her hands up and down his back.
“Heart-shaped waffles for breakfast and a bouquet of white roses,” she said shaking her head lightly. “What did I do to deserve this?”
She felt the boy smiling into her neck before he straightened up to look into her eyes. With his hands resting on her hips and his eyebrow raised teasingly he stared at her for a couple of seconds, waiting for her to put two and two together.
“You know what day it is?” he finally asked, trying to push her thoughts in the right direction.
“Sunday,” she answered with suspicion lining her voice.
“Hypothetically,” -a knowing grin spread across his face gradually- “if I didn’t fail poorly with the breakfast and we were about to sit down to eat perfect heart-shaped waffles and you got a beautiful bouquet of roses from me to start the day and I put on your favourite movie-”
“Didn’t you say that you would rather bite your foot off than watch-”
“Don’t interrupt me,” he shushed her, pursing his lips. “In that hypothetical scenario would your hypothetical self change her mind about the significance of Valentine’s Day?” Yn’s lips parted as if she was about to say something but she couldn’t find the words.
“You sneaky little- you- you didn’t even mention it-” she finally stuttered, smiling at her boyfriend with nothing but endless appreciation in her eyes.
“Would she change her mind?” Jungkook repeated, showing off his teeth in a bright smile.
“I don’t know,” Yn whined teasingly.
“Oh, come on. My hypothetical self tried so hard,” he fired right back.
“If I agree does it mean I’ll have to give you a romantic surprise for White Day?”
“We’re so backwards,” he laughed at her logic.
Fourteenth of March, more commonly called White Day, is a holiday when people give reciprocal gifts to those who gave them gifts received on Valentine's Day. In Korea, the tradition has it that it is first girls gifting chocolates to boys in February and next month it’s the guys’ turn to return the favour.
Yn wrapped her arms around Jungkook’s neck bringing his face to hers. Among the overwhelming smell of burnt waffles, she could also smell vanilla extract that she now tasted on his lips. She smiled realising he must have tasted some of the raw dough while cooking.
“You know that after this I will torment you into making every date so special?” she purred against his lips.
“You won’t have to do a thing, baby,” he answered right back, making her heart flutter.
“Ah, how are you so perfect?”
“I was just born this way,” she rolled her eyes at his comment.
“And you ruined it,” she pushed him away lightly before starting to run away to jump over onto the couch.
“Hey, I was kidding,” he called after her. “Come back and kiss me or at least say my plan worked.”
Yn giggled as Jungkook caught up to her. He snaked his arms around her from behind pulling her in and started peppering her neck with sloppy giggle-filled kisses. The girl twisted in his embrace and pulling on the hem of his t-shirt she placed a brisk kiss on his lips.
“I still think that love should be celebrated every given day but I do like Valentine’s a little better now,” she admitted with a smile.
Seeing the jokingly unsatisfied grin on Jungkook’s face she rolled her eyes again, knowing she’ll have to praise him harder to earn a real smile.
“It worked, alright?” she chuckled, pushing his hair up from his forehead and he leaned into the touch. “It holds a special place in my heart thanks to you.”
The boy ran his gaze across her face feeling just as stunned by her beauty as he did the first day he saw her. His lips curved into a small smile as he tried not to focus on how overwhelmingly lucky he felt thinking about the fact she chose to be with him and him only.
“You know what?” he asked and Yn hummed, raising her brow at him. “Screw Valentine’s. You hold the most special place in my heart.”

Obligatory (part 2)
Series Masterlist
“Oi Y/L/N, is it true you’re marrying the ferret?” a ginger head of hair popped up next to you as you kept your head held high walking to class.
As it turned out, the Hogwarts rumour mill was rather dry, so the news of you being engaged to Malfoy had spread like wildfire. You had tried your hardest to ignore the stares and the whispers that followed you through the halls, especially from the Gryffindors. Slytherins and purebloods were ever so slightly more understanding, earning you looks of pity rather than ones of disgust. You weren’t sure which was worse.
“I don’t see how that’s any of your business Weasley.” You didn’t even look at the boy before answering.
You weren’t on bad terms with Weasley and Potter. Not in the way Malfoy was anyway. Regardless of how much you tolerated them, you weren’t in the mood to be interrogated. Besides, Ron always came off as a bit of a self centred boy in your opinion.
“People are judging you anyway, you might as well tell the truth,” he scoffed and stopped walking. You kept walking, keeping your eyes ahead.
Mother had always said you were good at handling people. You’d figured out later you were just good at presenting the version of you people wanted to see. Your parents wanted a soft spoken little princess. Your teachers preferred an attentive listener who asked in depth questions. Pansy and Theo liked it better when you were loud and confident. All of these people saw different sides of you and the only person who really ever listened was your best friend Daphne.
She was the one holding your hand walking down the hall now. Quick to shoot a venomous glare at anyone who dared to look your way with a haughty attitude. She had been there to wipe away your tears when you had tried again and again to figure out a way out of this contract.
The contract you currently had clutched in your hand as you made your way to the library. As promised your father had drawn up a copy of the contract for you to hold onto. To read over and over again until the lines all blurred together. As you flattened the contract against the library table you wondered if you were fooling yourself, hoping for a way out.
“So, I got permission from professor Snape to use the restricted section. I’m definitely on his watch list now though,” Daphne murmured from the cushy seat beside you, “he probably thinks Theo wants to do something illegal again,” she snorted.
It wasn’t unusual to find a Slytherin in the restricted section. While Ravenclaws might be the more studious ones, Slytherins were set on knowing as much as they could about the important things in life. Hence why every pureblood you knew had been learning dark magic, and it’s counter curses since their first year at Hogwarts. Some things would never be taught in classes but if you were clever, you’d find a way.
Theo however, had been banned from the restricted section for life by every teacher around. In fifth year they caught him trying to curse one of the school toilets to bite people and accidentally flooded an entire bathroom on the third floor. Needless to say, he was kept under a watchful eye.
“Have you talked to Draco yet? About all of this I mean?” Daphne whispered as she added a few books to the growing pile on your table.
“No, he’s been avoiding me,” you hadn’t exactly been hunting him down but it was the truth. Anytime you’d be in the vicinity, he’d suddenly find himself extremely busy or he’d disappear into the crowd. “I don’t blame him. He’s not exactly pleased about this either.”
“Y/N...” Daphne hesitated before asking what was on her mind, and everyone else’s for that matter, “did he really take the mark? Blaise wouldn’t tell me.”
You fiddled with the edge of your sleeve. It wasn’t your place to tell her these things but she was your best friend. Your parents had of course let you know that your darling husband to be was now in fact, a death eater. You nodded ever so slightly and met Daphne’s eyes. They were round with concern and a hint of fear was etched onto her delicate features. She chewed on her lip for a moment and pulled the contract over to her.
“Well, lets figure this out then shall we.” it was an unspoken rule between the two of you. Never admit how afraid you were of your families. Never let them hear your hesitation when they asked about your allegiances. Only the two of you knew, you were too kind hearted, too soft, too disgusted to ever really be on their side. It was what bonded you together.
It was the first Hogsmeade weekend by the time you got to speak to Draco. Well, that’s when you gathered your confidence anyway. You approached him outside the three broomsticks, the two boys flanking him spotted you before he did.
“Hi Blaise, Theo!” You smiled widely at the two boys who grinned in return, “Malfoy, a word please.” your smile was tight as he turned to face you.
“Keep the missus happy Draco,” Theo hollered after you. To your relief, Blaise smacked him in the forehead and dragged him into the pub.
“What do you want? I have things to do.” He crossed his arms and looked over your shoulder, cold air escaping from his parted lips. It looked like smoke billowing out of a dragons mouth. He was aptly named.
“Daphne and I still haven’t been able to find a single crack in this contract,” you huffed as he still refused to meet your gaze and instead fiddled with his gloves, “I need your help.” you bit the inside of your cheek.
“Look who’s suddenly involving me in this,” his cocky smirk popped back onto his lips easily, “we don’t have a copy of the contract and I’m not stealing from my father.” he deadpanned.
“I have a copy.” you didn’t meet his eyes and shuffled your feet.
“Of course you do.” his tone was clipped, pissed off, you could tell. “So much for sharing that with me. Whatever, fine, give me the contract and I’ll take a crack at it.”
“I can’t just give you the contract Malfoy I need it too,” you mentally cursed him, talking to him always felt like trying to eat soup with a fork. Very difficult and you don’t get much out of it.
“Yeah alright, then meet me in the common room tomorrow at noon and we’ll look at it together.” his icy eyes met yours and seemed to stare right into your mind, maybe they could, you were sure he knew legilimency. “Anything else or am I free?”
“Yeah, you’re free,” you blinked at him, “I’ll see you tomorrow,” you nodded and swallowed the lump in your throat before turning on your heel and stalking back towards the castle. Bloody Malfoy.
“No I’m telling you, clause 19 counteracts that. I have to take your name.” You paced in front of the black couch Draco currently occupied.
In his hands he held your copy of the contract. After every few lines of reading he’d throw out a spell, potion or non-magical suggestion to a clause. You would then be forced to point out why these things wouldn’t work, as if you hadn’t already considered every option.
When he’d suggested polyjuice potion you’d laughed. Living separately? You’d immediately pointed a few lines down where it stated you’d take over the left wing of Malfoy Mansion. Simply having an open marriage? The scandal would be horrible, so of course your father had added a clause for that.
“I’m telling you Malfoy you need to get more creative.” You shot a tight lipped smile his way as he pushed his glasses farther up his nose. You hadn’t actually been aware that he needed glasses. They made him look less uptight, or maybe it was the fact that his hair wasn’t slicked back with gel.
“Yeah, I’m trying here Y/L/N,” he ran a hand through his hair again. “You running a hole in the floor isn’t exactly helping.” he added without looking up.
For the past half and hour you’d been alternating between pacing back and forth and perching on the sofa opposite of Malfoy. Something about the intensity in his gaze while he scanned his way down the parchment made everything feel all the more real.
In fact the next few Sunday’s, leading you all the way into the holiday season, you and Malfoy could be found spitballing ideas back and forth in the common room. It was the most you’d spoken to each other in years and it was strangely tolerable. He still made you want to throw a book at him every twenty minutes but at least that was an upgrade from every five minutes.
“I don’t know if there’s a way out of this,” Draco finally spoke after a prolonged silence. It was the week before Christmas break and while you refused to give up hope, he’d seen through the contract weeks ago and knew you were just holding on for your sanity.
“No, there has to be,” You chewed your lip anxiously, “I mean, maybe he left something out?”
“Our fathers are death eaters what do you expect Y/N,” his voice was cool and smooth, almost like a piece of glass, “they’re not stupid.”
“My father isn’t a death eater.” You stopped pacing and faced the blond.
“When’s the last time you’ve seen him wear short sleeves? The last time you checked his forearm?” His eyes were calculating as they gauged your reaction.
“I-“ you paused and thought hard, “last summer.” Your jaw tightened and you felt tears well up in your eyes. It shouldn’t have surprised you this much. You’d thought maybe it was just a feeble following, something your parents could come back from.
“Hey, I didn’t mean-“ He started awkwardly before you cut him off.
“Keep it.” Your voice wobbled, “keep the contract, I don’t care. I’ll see you over Christmas.”

Girlfriend Part 3: Just One Night (Dean Imagine)
Series Summary: Sam’s suspicious behaviour has you and Dean curious enough to follow him, to find out he is meeting with a Demon in secret leaves you both in shock. Based on S4 demon blood story line with a darker ending.
Pairings: Dean X Reader, Sam X Ruby, Sam X Reader (platonic)
Chapter Summary: You and Dean have grown closer, but a mysterious call from Sam after 6 months brings an unexpected bump in the road. (Again, you don’t have to have read the other parts of the story to read this, it’s just based off Sam’s s4 demon blood story.)
MASTERLIST
It had been 6 months since you found out about Sam, Ruby, the blood. You and Dean had became much closer, an “unofficial official couple” you had named it. You slept in the same bed, told each other you loved them, but for the most part it was very on the down low, and not a lot of romance.
The motel door opening grabbed your attention from your phone as you sat on the end of the bed. You had been looking at a text you sent to Sam two weeks ago.
Please call me back Sam. We we’re best friends, and know I barley know you. I am so worried.
He never responded. That hurt your heart a little.
Dean came busting through the door with a brown paper bag of grocery's in one arm, and a six pack of beer in the other. He had a grin on his face as he entered, and leaned down to kiss your temple on the way past to the kitchen counter. He set everything down and reached into his back pocket.
“Here babe” He spoke to you as he held out a $100 bill. You got up off the bed confused. You took it from him sheepishly.
“What is this for?” You looked at him with furrowed brows.
“We just cleaned up a case yesterday, nothing on the radar, nothing from Bobby. We deserve a stress free night, no monsters. So i’m going to cook something nice, then were going to hit that little bar around the corner.” He guided your body towards his by the sides of your arms. You reached around his neck and pressed your body close, the bill still in your hand.
“While I get it all ready, you’re going to go out and get yourself a sexy little number and get dolled up. I know it’s been a while.” He explained before stealing a kiss.
“You know technically this is our first date.”
“I know. You’ve been so patient with me and with everything that’s been going on with Sam..” His face dropped for a moment when he said his brothers name. He hadn’t seen him since the big confrontation with him and Ruby. He had spoken on the phone once or twice, but Dean couldn’t bare to see him destroying himself with the blood and he made him chose. Sam chose the blood.
“You’re so sweet for doing this.” You gently guided his lips to yours while your fingers ran through his hair. He breathed you in deeply.
“Get out of here” He pecked once more before letting go. You turned around to leave and Dean smacked your ass with an eruption of laughter. You rolled your eyes and smiled as you left the motel room.
You borrowed the impala and drove to the nearest department store and picked out a black body con dress which hugged you in all the right places to accent your curves which you knew would have Dean turn to putty. All he ever saw you in was baggy layers, so anytime you did dress up, even before you got together, he was always left drooling.
You grabbed it from the sale rack along with a new lipstick and mascara. You paid, leaving not a lot of change, and headed back to your boyfriends car. Your phone was laying on the passenger seat and you took a quick glance over at it.
Missed Call: Sam (2)
How did that happen? he hadn’t spoken in months, no longer responded to your texts, but now suddenly there was two missed calls. He must be in real trouble. You started to panic and with shaky hands you called him back. No answer. You tried again, and again. Then you text.
Are you OK? Please answer.
Then you rang once more. Still no answer. You decided it was best to get straight back to the motel and speak to Dean, find out if he had heard anything.
You arrived back and the smell of Deans cooking was a nice greeting, much better than the musty damp scent the motels usually had. You set your bag down on the bed
“Dean, did Sam call?” You asked in a panicked tone rushing over to him.
“No.” He responded sternly, not once looking up from the pot of food his focus was on.
“I had two missed calls and then now he won’t pick up.” You explained.
“And?” Dean turned to look at you with a blank expression.
“What if he’s in trouble?”
“He got himself into trouble the moment he started drinking demon blood” He turned away again.
“No I mean what if he’s hurt?”
“Then Bobby will handle it!” He yelled and dropped the pot on top of the stove. You jumped a little, and when he turned round to see your feared expression, he softened.
“Look, he made his decision 6 months ago. He chose a demon over his own brother, over his best friend.” He gently moved towards you and took your hands. “I am done protecting him. He is a big boy, clearly. He will take care of himself. I just want one stress free night y/n... please.”
“Alright”. You closed your eyes and took in a deep breath. You knew Dean still wanted his baby brother, but not the version of him that was existing now. He was still grieving the Sam he knew, the one he raised, and that would take time. You understood. But at the same time, you still felt as if you should keep reaching out. However, tonight was not the night.
“I’ll drop it. We can enjoy our first proper date. Let me go get tidied up.” You smiled as Dean’s body relaxed at your words. He squeezed your hands and offered you a thank you in the form of a smile.
You left for the bathroom to get changed and put on a bit of make-up. It was hard to keep Sam off your mind, you had to keep telling yourself off every time you thought of him. Even thought you were only alone for 30 minutes, he popped into your head countless times. You told yourself you would call Bobby in the morning to find out if he’s OK, he still kept in contact with Sam. Barley.
You came out of the bathroom and were shocked to see the lights off and the room filled with candles. Dean was in his FBI suit, the only one he owned, serving the plates on to the table which was draped in a cheap paper tablecloth. He had made a chicken dish which smelled amazing. He looked up at you when he heard the door close behind you and his jaw dropped.
“Damn you look amazing” He beamed as he walked towards you.
“You too.” You grinned at him.
He placed your hand in his and led you a few feet to the table, twirling you on the way. He pulled out your chair and pushed you in before taking his own. Your legs intertwined with each others under the tiny table, which was barley big enough to hold the plates and drinks Dean had squeezed on. You started on the food and we’re surprised at how nice it was considering what he had to work with.
“This is really good Dean!”
“I am a man of many talents.” He spoke with a mouth full of food making you snicker a little.
“So, what do you do for a living?” Dean asked.
“Huh?” You looked at him.
“It’s a first date!” He explained
“Oh!” You caught on. “Well I hunt monsters with this really tough, hot, scary monster killer. You better not let him find out about this date.” You jested.
“Oh yeah?” Dean played along. “What’ll he do?”
“He’s very protective over me. And he’d totally kick your ass.”
“Is that right?” He smirked as his hand started to make it’s way up your thigh under the table. It took you by surprise, and butterflies started growing in your stomach and his hand slipped under your dress. You looked into his eyes, mischievous as ever as he bit down on his lip and you parted your legs slightly for him. His hand was inching closer to your panties when your phone rang across the room.
“Don’t answer” Dean pleaded.
“I’m sorry” You stood up from the table and picked up your phone, your heart skipped a beat when you saw Sam’s name on the screen.
“It’s Sam” you gasped. You didn’t wait for a reaction from Dean before you answered.
“Sammy are you OK?”
“I’m fine.”
“Are you sure, are you hurt?”
“I’m OK I promise. But I need your help”
“What is it?”
“I can’t tell you until you get here.”
“When? I’m in the middle of something” You looked over at Dean who shook his head before taking a swig of his beer.
“Like right now. What state are you in?”
“We’re in Kansas” Dean left his seat and stood beside you to listen.
“I’m only in Oklahoma. Please, Y/N I need you on this.”
“Sam I-”
“I’ll text the address.” He hung up. You dropped the phone on the bed and sighed running your hand through your hair. Dean took a few steps back and looked at you waiting for answers.
“Dean what do I do?” You asked, to your surprise welling up instantly. Dean walked away and bowed his head, pinching the bridge of his nose to keep himself calm. You could see his clenching jaw from the side and you knew he wouldn’t want you to go.
“It’s Sam.” You pushed.
“Is it though?” He spun on his heel and paced back closer to you. “You don’t hear from him for weeks, months, now all of a sudden he needs you help with what? a case? Lilith?”
“He didn’t say.” You whimpered, preparing yourself for the inevitable argument.
“All I wanted was one frigging stress free night! Just you and me!” He roared. You didn’t answer him.
“I don’t want to fight. But if you leave now and go see him.. this is over.” Dean spoke lowly. The tears tripped down your cheeks as the words came out of Dean’s mouth. You could see in his eyes he hurt to say it.
“He’s your baby brother. You can’t give up on him.” You pleaded with Dean.
“Y/N, he’s a monster. It’s been 6 months, do we know if he’s even still human?”
“You don’t mean that.” You breathed sharply to control your emotion. Dean wandered to the bed and he began to cry, his shoulder slouched as his arms resting on his knees caught his face. You sat beside him and placed your hand on his back, rubbing in gentle circular motions.
“If I see him, and he’s not? If he’s not fully human any more? I’ll have to kill him.” He looked at you with tears streaming, causing your own to start up again.
“I understand. I do. But I care so much for him and I won’t forgive myself if I don’t even at least find out what is going on”
He didn’t respond. He fell back on the bed and buried his face in the crook of his elbow. Sam stuff hit him hard. You wiped away tears many times in the past 6 months, and he had done the same for you. That’s what hurt him now, he had told you his fears about Sam and why he had to cut him out, but you still wanted to see him anyway.
“He’s my family too. And if it’s a trap or whatever.. then I’ll get out.” You explained. He still stayed silent. You got up from the bed and swapped the cheap heels you had on for your boots. You grabbed one of Dean’s shirts that was lying on top of his duffle and put it over your little black dress. Eventually Dean stood up from the bed, taking off his suit jacket and walking towards you as you stood by the door. He placed his palm on the back of your neck and searched into your eyes.
“Please. Don’t” He begged. You pressed your lips to his, still wet from the tears. You completely drank him in, knowing this could be the last time you ever kiss him. He reciprocated hard, he was trying to give you a reason to stay. You broke the kiss and stepped back from his grip.
“I have to. I’m sorry.” You walked out the motel door and closed it behind you. You leaned against the door for a moment to catch your breath when you heard thumping on the wall. You knew it was Dean, he didn’t know how to handle his anger. You wanted to be there so badly for him, and you would be if he lets you when you get back. But Sam first.

ok so 2ha. vague spoilers ahead (important spoilers are warned but watch out)
that’s a solid 4.5/5 for me. this novel RUINED me and I loved it for it. it made me feel like very few novels (and even stories in general) did. today I’m STILL shaken over a part of it that I read two days ago, despite the happy ending. I have A Lot of thoughts (shout-out to @whateverwuxian who can testify that I couldn’t shut up about it, love you buddy!!) so I just went ahead and [gestures below]
starting with the negative so we can enjoy all the positive later. feel free to discuss but I’m extra sensitive and these are only my personal feelings so they probably won’t change anyway, so be nice please!
what I didn't like:
too many r*pe scenes. I get that the non-con """makes sense""" narratively and thematically but like. they didn't have to be explicit. at the very least not all of them. sorry but too much is too much. there are more non-con sex scenes/flashbacks than consensual sex scenes! stop! we get it! enough now!
not a fan of a 26yo falling in love with a 16yo. if cwn had initiated Anything I would’ve thrown the novel out the window. but thankfully it didn’t happen, I got invested, and nothing mutual happened until mo ran was 22, so I mostly got over it, but I’m still somewhat uncomfortable with it for very personal reasons.
their first time putting it in. it felt so unfair and I was very upset over it. it could’ve worked without going There? why. was that necessary. and it's heartbreaking for both of them, because mo ran didn't want to do it either. he wanted them to take all their time. he wanted to go step by step. all he wanted was to make sure cwn would be happy and comfortable and never hurt again in bed. for their first time that way he wanted it to be special. but it was just. taken away from them, and for what? for nothing there’s absolutely no reason for it. I get there’s the metaphorical foreshadowing of the upcoming reveal aspect (spoilers) both of them not consenting, mo ran being horrified -> the reveal that mo ran was cursed and so would’ve never wanted to treat cwn like this in the past either if he’d had control (end spoilers) but still?? and it’s never brought up again? I know they don’t get the time until the very end but hhhh. yeah I have Feelings over this
some plot twists hit good emotionally but had no point? thinking of the one about xue meng here.
there’s horny, and then there’s mo ran. it’s not a bad thing, it’s just not the kind of stuff I like reading about and book 1 and 2 are A Lot on that side so in book 2 after a while ME, THE BIGGEST ASEXUAL WHO COULDN’T CARE LESS ABOUT SEX SCENES, WAS LIKE, “oh my god have mercy please just fuck already I beg of you” and indeed they chilled a bit after that. like they were still horny but. less intensely and less all the fucking time. thank god (I still think the farm arc was hilarious to witness though, and I did love it)
kinda wish their reunion at the end was longer and more emotional but that’s just because I love that shit
(spoilers) kinda wish we got to see shi mei again before he went off doing his blind wandering doctor stuff. a talk with ranwan would’ve been very interesting. (end spoilers)
xue meng didn’t get a hug
that one thing at the end you know the one. maybe I'd be more into it if it'd been given time to be explored seriously and wasn't played off as a joke. it kinda ruined the mood of their last scene for me. (spoilers spoilers spoilers this is the end of this section if you don’t want to get spoiled) in that scene I wanted chu wanning to ride off into the sunset with mo ran, not txj. like, txj is the alternate world’s “if there had been no transmigration” version of mo ran 2.0. the whole point is that mo ran IS txj in book 1, but changes and becomes mo ran 2.0. mo ran 2.0, who by the end of the novel has already done all the redemption and deconstruction of his dubious habits. who he was as txj is long behind him. at this point txj will always be a part of who he was, but they are pretty much two 'different' people now. txj disappearing into dust after everything that happens at the end was beautiful symbolism. it meant something. to me there was no point keeping txj around after all that other than for “haha split personalities fighting over cwn’s attention uwu” THAT SAID the fact I'm not a fan of the idea doesn't mean I don't like txj. I care txj a lot and have Emotions over him, and I will definitely eventually explore this in my writing
(still spoilers) the demonic blood reveal was a bit.... deus ex machina? plus I personally would've preferred mo ran staying a regular person (end spoilers)
alright what I liked now:
the themes, both regarding the characters and the various plot elements. this novel really challenges your morals and what you think is right or wrong, what’s redeemable, what’s punishable, and how much one relies on first impressions, amongst other things. this novel is the definition of “don’t judge a book by its cover” but also “look further than the first page” in so many ways
the romance. like I don’t need to say anything there. just, the slow burn, the longing, the yearning, the romance [clutches heart]
the plot twists/reveals. I’m so glad I was barely spoiled (I was spoiled two Big things but very vaguely so I was still surprised) because pretty much all of them had me shouting “WHAT” and/or gaping and/or various “what the fuck!!!”/”holy SHIT”/“NO” reactions
the way a lot of those reveals just completely change your view on things/characters?? that’s my jam
wontons. that was the first time I cried and my first very physical reaction to an event in this novel. I literally felt like time froze. I heard my heart beating. it was painful but AMAZING.
might be nothing in the grand scheme of things but honestly, all the food! I love that mo ran is an excellent cook and can make all those delicious dishes for cwn. as someone who loves to cook for their loved ones I think it’s so lovely that he gets to do that
the character growth. for everyone, but mo ran in particular? like I just. I started off not liking mo ran very much, straight up despising him at times, and in the end I was fucking sobbing over him and cried myself to sleep only to wake up in the middle of the night to cry some more so there’s that
chu wanning? there were aspects of him that I related to heavily, and that felt both like the Mortifying Ordeal of Being Known and very special because it doesn’t happen to me that often
the whole deaging arc. that was deaging done right and it had a purpose in the narrative and their relationship growth, I was “!!!!”
I LOVE how they took their time with EVERYTHING once they got together? that it spanned over several weeks? that it started with the confession, then just holding hands, then kissing, then making out, then sex, and even the sex was step by step! it said A LOT about mo ran’s character growth and it respected SO MUCH the fact that cwn is a 32yo (unrelated but (spoilers) I like to argue that yeah he’s been alive for 32 years but when you’ve been asleep and not aging physically nor growing mentally for five years in a way that makes you a 27yo. so when he calls his body “mature and old” and compares himself to shi mei I’m just. buddy your body is just three years older than shi mei’s there’s barely any difference in maturity right there. I know it’s your lack of self-worth speaking, and believe me I get it, but don’t be so hard on yourself. (end spoilers) anyway, this is an unimportant and unrelevant thought that I had during the mirror scene) who has no experience in any of these things whatsoever. he's not pushed into sex like he's going to be comfortable right off the bat and like it isn’t such a big change in a life that’s been ascetic so far. mo ran is aware of that! and when they have their first time mo ran, who’s been maybe even more horny than cwn all this time - seriously horny is that guy’s middle name, who initiated the sex, what does he say!!! "don't worry about me, tonight, I just want to make you feel good"??? mo ran?? your character development??? I appreciated that so much.
the pain. I’m still bleeding on the floor despite the happy ending but yeah. I like angst and I was not disappointed. it didn’t feel that gratuitious to me, more like, brutally honest? I don’t cry that easily but by the end I think I’d cried, what, close to ten times??
quite a few excellent quotes [lies down] “I realized - I had grown into the you in my heart”?? “hell is too cold”??? I highlighted more but those two are the ones that always come to my mind first
most of the time the flashbacks were perfectly inserted for maximum emotional damage and I respect that skill
xue zhengyong. like he’s not my favourite, my favourites are xue meng, nangong si and ye wangxi but? I just adored him so he gets a special mention
the side characters? like, I legit loved Everyone? when I cry over side characters you know it’s serious
THE CONFESSION SCENE. LIKE. HOLY SHIT MY HEART. it comes reaaally close to the vocal one (because hua cheng confesses so many times without words) at the end of tgcf for me. it was beautiful. I was so emotional. the fact that cwn can't say it no matter how much he feels it. like it's always been plain and clear just how much he loves mo ran. but he can't say the words yet and I just. the fact that mo ran gets it? that he doesn't need the words, just that squeeze of fingers, just what cwn is, at that moment, able to give him, and it doesn't mean less to him than words would? it hit home real hard
unless I think of something else, that’s about it! I can’t recommend 2ha enough, that said, I beg of you, heed the warnings. they are NOT overstated. and even if there were no warnings, take care anyways. the angst is serious, it haunts you. angst always makes me feel like my chest is being squeezed and that’s precisely the feeling I’m looking for when I choose to read angst. I have good tolerance to it, so despite not doing entirely well lately, I thought I was tough and went for it, but I’m a CLOWN. the way it’s written ruins you. this morning despite reading the hardest part of the angst on saturday evening, I still had some physical chest pain. so I recommend it with all my heart, but take care of yourselves. 2ha doesn’t fuck around.
#2ha#bee talks#i will probably tweak and add to this post over time because I probably forgot stuff#anyways I'm gonna go lie down and cry over ranwan as I think about my fic ideas#2ha review

Modern AU w/teenage WWX
Another MDZS story thought. In this modern AU, WWX never lived on the streets as a small child. He went straight to live with the Jiangs after his parents died when he is like 6 or 7. They are his guardians, never adopt him. He grows up beside JC and JYL. JFM and YZY are the crappy parents they always are. In this version, YZY doesn't really start in on WWX until JFM starts going on these long business trips (could he be having an affair? or something else?). Mostly it's verbal but there is some physical abuse. It is on one of these trips, when WWX is 15, that she has enough of him and puts him out.
WWX doesn't think of going to the authorities for fear that YXY would just tell them he ran away and return him to her care. He is on the streets for several weeks when a gang run by Wen Chao and Wen Xu find him and basically trick him into coming with them to their hideout. Their hideout is in "the burial mounds". It's an old abandoned housing development called burial mounds because they keep finding dead bodies there. They feed him, give him a place to sleep and then make him do things for him. At 15 he is tall but thin, not very strong so it is easy to keep him in line. They also beat him on a regular basis. In the hideout he meets others that they have taken in or forced into their schemes. Wen Qing and Wen Ning. They keep her in line by threatening Wen Ning. Mo Xuanyu is there in the same position as WWX. Xue Yang is also there as sort of member of the gang but they don't quite trust him. WWX doesn't know how long he is there before the authorities raid the place. When they find them, they are all in bad shape but none worse than WWX.
After being in the hospital for a while, WWX, WQ and WN are remanded to Cloud Recesses. It's a facility run by the Lan family that helps kids in serious situations, health, housing, abuse. They provide a bit of education, provide places to live, help kids get into the world. (can see part of their business model as helping these kids go to college and start businesses where they get something back like work hours or monies) The elders are in charge of the whole facility, Lan Qiren is in charge of education and serious discipline. Lan Xichen is some kind of counselor? psychologist? who deals with the older kids and is in charge of less serious disciplinary issues. Lan Zhan is in university but works there during summers and such. Not sure if he is studying to join Lan Xichen or if he is studying to join the financial arm of the family business. It is over the summer that WWX is 16 that he meets LZ. I see WWX staying at CR until he is 18 where they help him move out into the real world.

A Full Moon Spell | Selfpara
She stood in the middle of the forest, a dangerous place to be on a full moon such as this with baying wolves sounding in the distance. However, Winter was a powerful witch, and not stupid. The wide circle of ash, salt and rosemary that she’d lain around would protect her from any who tried to disturb her. She’d be so well hidden that the only maker of her presence tonight would be the smell of Elder tree blooms that would seep throughout the island woods tonight.
She’d been tending to a fire since sunset as she readied all the magic and tools she’d need. It had coast a near fortune to ship blackthorn and elder wood from Scotland but every ingredient of tonights work needed to be carefully chosen. The fire now glowed with a perfect bed of coals and as the full moon crested hight in the sky, Winter knew it was time.
In that firelight Winter slipped off her robe. Her body had been carefully painted with Highland woad in ancient Celtic swirls and knots. That blue contrasted the red of her blood magic eyes. With her hair in dark waves at her shoulders, she seemed a wild beast herself, a heathen witch coming straight from the misty moors of Scotland. Though she bore the french name DuBois by her father, it was her mothers wild Celtic magic that gave her so much more power. Perhaps that was the reason why Winter was the most skilled witch of DuBois history, the meeting of two powerful worlds.
She knelt in the dirt before the fire, all her tools laid out beside her. Cups filled with herbs, another of scotch, blades, candles and sacred symbols to draw and concentrate her power were each placed carefully around her. Ancient Gaelic words flowed from her lips as she called upon the spirits of the earth and moon. She’d need their help to commune with the primitive force she’d be summoning tonight. Winter then scattered a mixture of herbs she’d made into the fire. Wormwood, Knotweed, Elder berries and Lupinus all smoked on the coals now. Next, she took a silver quaich, took a sip for herself and another that she spat into the fire, an offering to calm the spirits she’d call. And for the final touch, Winter pulled out a vial of dark red colour labeled with Jason Shaw. It was only a small amount of what she had gathered from him that night, but it would be more than enough for this. She first poured a small drop onto her finger which she drew a line on her tongue with. Then she emptied the rest over the fire, drawing a spiral over the coals.
The smoke began to move on it’s own accord as the blood sizzled and Winter began her magic chant. More Ancient Gaelic passed her lips as she closed her eyes and called for the wild spirit that roamed the forest, the dangerous power that ran with abandon, the sharp teeth and strong claws that hunted in the night. She was summoning a wolf, the one that lived within the blood she’d poured.
It took longer than she’d expected but soon the growling of a wolf caused her eyes to open. There in the smoke and flames was the face of a wolf, unhappy to be pulled to this circle on the only night it was free. Winter simply smirked as it showed it’s displeasure. That anger and rage is what would fuel her plan.
“Newly born and full of furry and power, how sad it is that you are locked away for so long between moons.” She gave a moment of pity before a devilish smile crossed her lips. “Time to change that.”
She reached for a silver container to her side, pulling out the actual teeth and claws of a wolf. Not a werewolf but the normal wolf parts would work better for this spell. She held them in her hands for a moment, concentrating on their magic before dropping her hands, leaving the claws and teeth hanging in mid air as if weightless.
She held her hands out wide, setting to her next chant. This time, most of the words were english apart from the Gaelic that finished each step.
“Spirit of the wolf, you've new prey tonight. Out in the darkness there’s a point of light. Sniff out this beast, this human soul So we can make these two parts whole.
Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam.”
She could all but see in her mind the smoke and fire version of this beast glowing as it ran through the woods, searching for the human soul it was bound to through blood. All the while the wolf in the pit before her continued to stare at her.
“Sink your teeth into his being, Hold on tight and taste your freeing. Feel your claws sink deep inside, Your hold will keep your spirits are tied.
Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam.”
The claws and teeth that hovered between her and the flames began to spin, faster and faster they moved until they each caught spontaneous flames. They burned quickly, turning from hard bone to hot embers, shaped like teeth and claws. Her tone grew louder as the wind also picked up around them, loud and strong as it spun around her circle.
“When the full moon feels its waning, You’ll remain, your power reigning. And with each phase you’re hold will grow, The wolf in power, new status quo.
Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam.”
The fire began to send up more sparks than should have been natural as the wolf in her fire howled loudly. The wind would stop others that night from hearing it’s revelling call. The burnt claws and teeth cooled and fell apart as dust in the spinning winds. To most it would seem the spell was done, but Winter was not stupid.
“But!” she loudly called, drawing the silence and attention of the wolf once more. An intimidating sight to anyone, the magic creature with glowing blood red eyes, lit by firelight, who’s hair was tossed wildly by the wind and skin was painted in ancestral war paint gave her warning.
“One thing this lupin must remember, This gift is given at my pleasure. And loyalty should always reside, With the witch who will not be denied.”
She met the wolf’s gaze with her own ferocity and made sure he understood her last casting of magic before she called out her final words loud to the night.
“Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam. Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam. Le m ’fhacal agus mo chumhachd, Gabh ris an àithne agam.“
As she called her last words, sealing her work, the chaos all came to a crashing halt. The winds suddenly stopped. The flames and smoke returned to normal. The energy in the air stilled and the wild woman stood to put her robe back on. Winter began to collect her things, extinguishing the fire and sweeping away all evidence that magic had been cast that night. Wolves were about, after all, and they had a keen sense of smell. She didn’t want even a trace of her own scent left in the air. With that in mind, she cast one last spell, one that blanketed the forest in one scent, the smell of Elder tree blossoms. She wandered out of the forest soon after, enjoying the soft floral smell that permeated the air, knowing her plans were well on their way to getting her exactly what she wanted.

The tale of Casey Grimm part 5: the sheriff and the stringless
It was night time in showdown valley and everyone finished what they are doing and called it the night, Sheriff Jones is checking the town to make sure everyone is safe in doors
But until he heard strange noises in the darkness " Scrrrreeee ( stringless sounds ) " that sound made Jones jump, because he knows that stringless comes out at night, the sound gets louder and louder, so loud that Jones is shaking in his boots
Then all the sudden the sound stop, now it is very quiet no sound or noise, until sheriff Jones heard the sound of boots walking on wood planks, then he saw a figure in the distance and it stop
Sheriff Jones got out his gun and pointed at the figure " who... who are you " he spoke to the figure
The figure didn't say a word and came even closer to Jones, until it began to speak " mmm he he he... you don't reorganize your dead daughter "
" GASP" Jones was shocked by surprise to see that the one who made those sounds is Casey, he also knows what that means " you are... you are a " Casey made him pause
" yes Jones I am a stringless now, by what you did to me " Casey in a angry mood
Jones continues to shake in a fierce kind of way " how... it's impossible for to become one of those... mo... monsters "
That made Casey more angry then ever " a monster... A MONSTER... SO THAT'S WHAT YOU CALLING ME NOW A MONSTER " Casey continues talking " the only monster here in this town is you, you are the one who made me what I am, all because of your jealousy, and now it's your turn " Casey taking out her scythe like weapon
" GULP, my turn for what " Jones not to sure what Casey meant it's his turn
Casey finish her sentence " well, it's your turn... to have the same fate as Me ! " as Casey charging at Jones with her scythe, but Jones dodge it and he shoot at Casey 6x, Jones know that he only has six bullets in his gun then he turn to Casey
Some how Casey is still standing up even she got shoot so many times " hmph, is that all you got Jones... he he hehe ha ha HA HA HA " Casey laughed so hard " you that I'm already dead, and you can't kill me again " Casey is going mad and charges at Jones again but this time she will not miss
Jones began to run away, but before Casey reaches up to him, a lasso came out of nowhere and caught her " run Jones run " a farmer shouting at Jones to run, when the farmer saw what he caught that tries to attack, he sees that what he caught was Casey Grimm herself, he was shock what he had seen, but his so distracted that Casey broke free of the lasso and ran after Jones, then the farmer pass out of what he sees and the townsfolk woke up by the noise and see him on the ground
Meanwhile as Jones ran and ran into the desert as he thinks he will be safe but he is wrong, right behind him was Casey catching up, Jones tried to run even faster but Casey is much faster then him, as soon Casey reach out to him and grab him, Jones punch Casey in the face to get her off him
Casey was holding the side of her face where Jones punch her as her hat fell off, when she removed her hand Jones sees what was behind her hair, behind her hair was that half of her face is gone " you really are a stringless, THE CREATURES THAT KILLS FOLKS WITH STRINGS " Jones having a panic attack what he made Casey become
" that's right Jones you made me a murderous... killing... a dead hearted monster that I become " as Casey swing her weapon at Jones, Jones have nothing to fight against Casey but he has his sheriff skills and strike
Both Casey and Jones having a bloody fight, Jones using his skills and Casey using her sheriff skills with her weapon, as Jones get's tired he cannot fight anymore, then Casey kick him in the distance as Jones is to weak to get up
Casey slowly walks towards him as Jones lifting himself up, Casey put her weapon against his neck about to kill him
" you are the one who started this, and now I'm going to end it " as Casey lifting her weapon to the side ready to swing, but before in the time she's about to swing, someone came out of nowhere and stop Casey " CASEY STOP "
Casey turns to see who had stop her and it is Faceless, " Faceless... what are you doing "
" I'm trying not to let you go to far " Faceless in a worried way " if you kill someone with strings, you will lose control of her stringless side and none of us can stop you in that stage " that made Casey realize what is she doing and drop to the ground and cried
As Casey cried, Faceless turns to Jones and go towards him, he pick him up by the neck and shouted " so you are the one who killed my goddaughter " as he continues shouting at Jones " why did you do that, after you took in and rise her "
Jones couldn't speak and Faceless drop him, Casey stops crying and stand beside Faceless as Jones began to tell him why " I know that I'm a bad father... cough ... cough ... but sometimes parents do mistake of what they taught there children" Casey is beginning to lose her ground " to make them better... smarter... stronger then any of us..."
Casey grabs Jones' shirt, she began to lose herself as Jones sees her eyes begin to fade in blackness and only a red glow in her eyes " Sccrrrreeee " Casey making stringless noises again, then the noise turns into growls as began to transform in her beast site
As Faceless watched her body grows bigger, her body changes to animal parts and her boots, gloves and everything she wears torn, and then she stops growing
Casey is bigger than anybody not even Jones, Jones is now even more afraid of her even in her beast form
Casey had keep her form for to long ever since Jones took her in, Casey began to growl at him like Jones is face to face with a massive bear that what's to kill him, then Beast Casey let out a huge roar at Jones " RRRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRR, huff " that made his ears ring
Faceless knows that she's going to kill him, so he put his hand on her leg and stroke, as his stroking he sings the Grimm's family's lullaby, that made Casey lost her grib and drop Jones
As Casey was distracted by the song Faceless warned Jones " Jones... if I see you came near me or her you wish you already dead " that made Jones in a tightened site as he ran but to town
Faceless continues to stroke and sing as Casey drop to the ground and she began to come back as her eyes return from the darkness of her eyes " Fa... Faceless " as she begins to come back from her stringless self
Faceless stops singing and talk to Casey " there we go... there's the little beast I remember " as Faceless places his hands on her face " wow look at you, now more scarier then your cute version " beast Casey head butts into Faceless in a gentle way
Faceless began to giggle " he he ok ok Casey... I know you feel so but sometimes you can't handle it and it wants to come out "
" I know that but I can't help it " Casey began to cry again " I know what you mean, I'm to afraid to do it again "
Faceless stocking her fur like hair " I know Casey I know " as he continues strocking " let's go home now, you had a rough night " Casey agrees with him as he hops on her back like a horse and road off
Many mouths went and the town hears what the farmer had said for what he saw last night, and the townsfolk believed that Casey is still lives but in a stringless version of her, the town knows that Casey is still there hero
For Jones he still stays with his children and he never spoke a word about Casey
Faceless he still does his job, began creepy of course
As for Casey she has two jobs one in the day and one at night, in the day she still does sheriff stuff but as a stringless she's much faster and stronger than ever before and town cheers for her, and at night she works for Lorelei undertaker known as miss undertaker she kills stringless for her to get her job done
Faceless sometimes visit Casey at her new home, her home is abandoned mansion, it's so big that it's perfect for when she's in her beast form
Now from this day Casey is now known as the stringless sheriff of showdown valley, and as for her beast form everyone calls her the beast of showdown valley
And that's how Casey came to be

Charles/ The Voyeur Theories
I’m bored and its still hours away until the next episode so you all know what that means more theories and analysis. Today my topic of choice is Charles Smith and also theories on who may or may not be behind the video tapes. Obviously there are spoilers for all of season 4 including the latest episode.
The Curious Case of Charles Smith
Ok so first I want to talk about Charles. Lets be honest there have been moments where he’s been shady af such as listening in on Betty’s phone calls and visiting Chic. But the thing is, call me a fool, but I’m really like his character and I’m hoping that he’s not the bad guy and that his shady behaviour can be explained by the fact that he is a FBI agent. I feel like we went down the whole evil long lost brother route when Chic was impersonating Charles and I think it would be kinda boring to see it all again with the real Charles. So I figured we could go through the history of Charles and analyse how likely it is that he is a bad guy of the show or whether there is some hope that he might be a decent person. This means going back to the very beginning.
Right from the start Charles is established as a very mysterious character, there are alot of inconsistencies in the information we are given about Charles. Obviously the first time we hear about Charles is in season 1 when Alice confesses to Betty that she had a teenage pregnancy and she gave her baby boy up for adoption. But it’s not until later, in 2x10, that the storyline really kicks off when Betty decides to go looking for Charles in an attempt to ease Alice’s pain of losing Polly who had just cut all ties with the family. Betty meets with the social worker who tells her that her brother’s record was unsealed when he turned 18. This is where the first inconsistencies start to appear. Alice says that the Sisters of Quiet Mercy arranged for a quiet adoption, so we know that Alice believes that her son was adopted. But when Betty talks to the social worker she says that Charles stayed in the foster system and was never adopted. As far as we can tell it seems like he was raised at the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. The social worker then gives her the address of the Last Resort Youth Hostel, which is the last address they have for him. It is when her and Alice visit this hostel that we first meet Chic, he leads them to believe that he is Charles and alot of the information we get about Charles we actually learn through Chic. Unfortunately this does make it more difficult for us to unravel the web of mystery around Charles as we know that Chic is a liar. That being said, often with characters like Chic they will weave elements of the truth into their stories to lend credit to their lies. Now we have to figure out which parts of his stories actually happened and which parts are a complete fabrication. The one thing that we can be certain of though is that Chic and Charles do know each other.
Chic instantly recognises who Alice is when she introduces herself stating that the Sisters gave him her address when he turned 18 and that they kicked him out. However this is another inconsistency as we later learn in 2x19 when Betty and Jughead go to the Sisters for information, that according to them Charles ran away from them. The bulk of the information we learn about Charles we learn in 2x19. When Betty confronts Chic with the fact that she knows he’s not Charles and they interrogate him he gives us some more details about Charles’ past. We find out that Charles and Chic met when they were both living on the streets. They then moved into the hostel together, this is something that is repeated several times throughout the series so we can reasonably say its likely true. We also know that Charles knew about the Coopers and that he told Chic about them. According to Chic, Charles described the Coopers as a perfect family that lived in Riverdale who gave him up for adoption, who didn’t want him and who never bothered to look for him. The way Chic describes it does make it sound like Charles had some resentment towards the Coopers. He then goes on to tell them that one day Charles had come knocking at the Coopers door and that Alice turned him away, pretty much slammed the door in his face. Alice does confirm that the boy in the picture did come to the door and that she sent him away, so we know this part of Chic’s story is true. Chic then spins a fable about how Charles was so upset that he went out on a bender which resulted him in over dosing on jingle jangle. Although we later learn this is false and Charles didn’t die, I do think the part about Charles being upset and going on a bender could be true. To me it does sound like a realistic reaction to that situation and the real Charles does later tell Betty that he is an ex addict which we will cover some more later.
Betty isn’t satisfied with Chic’s story about what happened to her brother so she and Jughead go back to the hostel where they talk to a neighbour. She describes Charles as being ‘the nice one’, that he always used to greet her and carry her groceries. The neighbour then tells them that Chic and Charles were always arguing, that they were nasty and scary fights and that then one day there was only one, ‘the bad one.’ Charles was gone. The neighbour also tells them that she found blood stained sheets and pillows when she took the trash out. Which brings me to the next section.
The Mystery of the Bloody Sheets.
Thanks to the neighbours testimony we know that something horrific happened in that room, most likely a murder. We are given three versions of what happened two from Chic and one from Charles.
Version 1
Ok so version one we know isn’t true but there could be some clues in it that can help us figure out what did happen. This is the first version that we are given and its when Betty is about to turn Chic over to the Black Hood in 2x19 and she demands to know what really happened to Charles. Chic tells her that he and Charles got into a fight and that Chic snapped, that he didn’t mean to hurt Charles. Here he implies that he accidently killed Charles when he lost his temper. What’s interesting about this interaction was that Chic was facing possible death at this moment and yet despite this he still lied about Charles being dead.
Version 2
The second version we are given is again from Chic in 4x06. After growing suspicious of Charles, Betty visits Chic in prison where she again asks what happened. This time he gives a different account saying that they had brought a friend home and they started doing jingle jangle. They did a bit too much of it and things got out of control, Charles snapped, like some darkness had taken over him and he stabbed the guy to death with a pair of scissors. When Betty asks how she could know whether he’s telling the truth he asks why he would lie at this point. But here’s the thing we know he will still lie even when he could be at death’s door so I don’t see why he wouldn’t still lie when facing time in prison. It is also at this moment that Chic reveals that he knows Betty knows Charles is alive by asking her what Charles had said had happened. This is subtle but actually is a clue to the reveal at the end of the episode as it tells us that Charles had already been in contact with Chic before we see them together at the end of the episode.
Version 3
So the thrid version we are given is the only one we get directly from Charles himself. The other difference is that this time the person being questioned is hooked up to a polygraph. It is worth noting that during Betty’s questioning the polygraph only picks up signs of deception once when Betty asks if Charles is hiding anything. Through out his story about what happened in the room that needle stays steady. Charles says that he went out for groceries one day and when he came home it was to find a dead guy in their bed. His insticts take over. He dissolved the body with lye in the bath tub, threw away the sheets and cleaned the room with bleach. Chic watched. Charles said that was the end of them and that he then left Chic. As for the thing he was hiding he says it is that he is an ex addict. As a side note though I do think that this is a cover he knew he had to give some piece of information to cover the deception so he went with the ex addict thing, in reality I think the thing he is trying to hide is that he has been visiting Chic.
Ok so which of these three versions is the right one? Well I actually think its a combination of the 2nd and 3rd. I do feel like out of all of them Charles’ version seems the most accurate. He gives a lot more details which suggests he was being truthful, ordinarily when a person lies they give as little detail as possible so there’s less chance of them being caught out. Also Charles mentions the sheets and that the victim was in the bed which would tie in the pillows the neighbour found with the sheets, it all lines up exactly with what the neighbour said. But the thing that really sold it for me was how much it seems to fit Chic’s MO. Charles’ description of the events are eerily similar to what happened to the Shady Guy. I do think the writers wanted us to compare these two events. In both instances its Chic who kills the person but its someone else who is clearing it up in an attempt to protect Chic. In both instances Chic just sits there watching. Both times the body is dissolved with lye, and both times some piece of evidence is left behind and discovered by a third party, the sheets which are discovered by the neighbour and the car which is found by a guy scavenging for parts which he reports to the police.
So what about version 2? Well as I said before characters like Chic will often have some elements of the truth in their lies. In both of his versions Chic is consistent in saying that someone snapped. In the first version he says it was himself, in the second that it was Charles. But the fact that he repeated this makes me think this has some truth to it. He also has mentioned jingle jangle on several occasions, first he says Charles OD’d on it, then he said he and charles were doing it together with a friend. We also know that Shady guy was a dealer and he had come looking for Chic so its safe to say that Chic had brought from him in the past. Then there’s Charles mentioning his past addiction. As it is a topic that keeps getting repeated I again think it holds some merit of truth to it and we can assume that both Chic and Charles were addicted to or at the very least using, jingle jangle around the time of the murder. The other consistency between the two versions is that the victim was brought home. So taking all that into consideration here’s my best guess at what I think happened. Charles left their room and went grocery shopping. While he was out Chic brought a client home with him. The reason why I think it was a client is because Charles says the guy was ‘some trick he had brought home.’ Trick is slang for a client of a lady or gentleman of the night shall we say. Also it would explain why the guy was in the bed when he was killed. Chic and his client started doing some jingle jangle and things got out of control. Chic was overcome by the darkness and snapped, stabbing the guy to death with a pair of scissors. Charles then comes home essentially walking into a messy situation. There’s blood everywhere, a dead guy in the bed and Chic is covered in the victims blood. His instinct to protect Chic takes over and he cleans up, moving the body to the bath tub and dissolving it with lye, he throws the sheets and pillows in the dumpster and washes everything down with bleach. After its all over he knows things can’t carry on the way they have. He leaves Chic and starts going to Narcotics Anoymnous cleaning up his act before eventually joining the FBI.
After 2x19 Charles is only briefly brought up again in season 3 when Betty believes that the Farm have tricked Alice into thinking she is talking to Charles. Obviously we eventually learn that Alice really was talking to Charles. Then we see the real Charles for the first time in 3x22 when he shows up at the Coopers door and reveals that he works with the FBI and that Alice had been working with them to investigate the farm.
Suspicious Minds
Since his introduction in 3x22 Charles has done several things that cast him in a suspicious light. Some are more sublte than others but the first major suspicion comes in episode 4, the halloween episode. After seeming to help Betty out with the prank calls we find out that Charles has bugged Betty’s phone and is listening in on her phone call with Jughead. Now this begs the question of why is he doing this? The obvious one would be that its because he’s a bad guy and is trying to get some information about Betty for nefarious reasons. There is another explaination though. We know that Charles is an FBI agent. We also know that he is part of an active investigation in Riverdale (the tapes). Now if we look at Betty and Charles’ relationship so far we might be able to figure out why Charles might have done this. We know that most of their interaction with each other was during them investigating the farm trying to find and extract Alice. The first thing I’d like to point out here is that we know that Betty’s isn’t the only phone that Charles and the FBI has been tracking, they also bugged Kevin’s phone. Now if it were just Betty’s phone I would say that it was highly suspicious but the fact that we know of at least one other phone makes it seem a little less suspicious. However you could argue that Charles had a reason to track Kevin’s phone as they believed, rightly, that he was still in contact with The Farm. What reason could he have for tracking Betty’s phone other than him being a bad guy? Well I can actually think of a couple of reasons why Charles would have a legitimate reason to keep an eye on Betty. To understand it we need to look at it from Charles’ point of view. We know of two occasions at least where Betty has acted recklessly and without talking it through with Charles first. Betty told Kevin about the fake witness and that Alice is an informant. When Charles finds out he is rightfully upset with Betty and seems to be in genuine disbelief that she had just revealed the identity of an active FBI informant to a, as he puts it, messed up kid. This was incredibly reckless and impulsive of Betty if she had been wrong it would have destroyed their entire investigation and it potentially put Alice in danger. And this isn’t the only time Betty acts out impulsively. She also then goes to the motel where the farm are hiding out without telling Charles. As a result she nearly gets caught in the crosshairs of a fight between Mercenaries and The Farm. The only reason that was avoided was because she happened to ring Charles at just the right time and get him to stand them down. My point is that if we look at it from Charles’ POV then Betty is a bit of a loose cannon. Now I don’t know about you but if I was an FBI agent working on an active investigation I’m not about to let a loose cannon like Betty run around unchecked. It’s likely that Charles is simply listening into Betty’s phone calls to make sure that she isn’t about to catch him off guard again or do something to derail or put their investigation in jeopardy. The other thing to bear in mind is that while we might have only been shown Charles listening into Betty and Jughead’s call that doesn’t mean that’s the only phone/ call they are tracking. As I said the FBI have an active investigation going on into these video tapes its possible that they are tracking all the calls that happen in Riverdale. Also we know that Charles is aware of the reputation Jughead and Betty have for playing the detectives and meddling in things so it would make sense for him to keep an eye on that as if they figure out anything then the FBI will also have that information. So I think we can safely say that there are many other legimate reasons for Charles actions here and it doesn’t necessarily mean that he is automatically a bad guy.
However there is another action of Charles’ that does paint him as someone who can’t be trusted, a much bigger one. At the end of episode 6 Charles is seen visiting Chic in prison. Episode 6 is the episode where Betty is investigating Charles because she found out in the previous episode that he too has the serial killer genes. She visits Chic which results in him telling the FBI that Alice Cooper killed a guy and that Chic knew where the body was buried. Charles helps FP move the body elsewhere and this is the turning point for Betty and she decides to trust Charles. This is when we get the big twist where we find out that Charles and Chic had some kind of plan together, it seems like Chic went to the FBI to create a situation where Charles could ‘save’ the Cooper-Jones family essentially making everyone trust him beyond a doubt. It is then revealed that not only are they working togther to seemingly manipulate the Cooper-Jones family for some reason but that they are still in a relationship. There is so much about this scene that doesn’t add up and makes you question things. Firstly is the fact that when Charles was hooked up to the polygraph he makes the statement that when Chic killed that client he brought home it was the end for them, basically insinuating their relationship was dead and buried from that moment. The needle doesn’t move telling us that this statement is true. Yet we are then shown that it is untrue because we see that they are still involved to the point where they are telling each other they love each other. Now I’m not that much of a fool that I don’t recognise that as a FBI agent it is possible that Charles knows how to cheat a polygraph test. This could be one explanation for the discrepancy. However there was something about the scene as a whole that was bugging me and I kept watching it over and over trying to fiugre it out. I think what was bugging me is firstly how vastly different Charles comes across in this scene. He literally seems like a different person, everything is different, the way he holds himself, his facial expressions even the way he talks. In fact he kinda reminds me of Chic in his behaviour. I think the thing that makes me curious about the way he is talking to Chic is the tone of voice he is using. It reminds me of when a person talks to a child, particularly when they are trying to convince a child of something. I could be projecting here but to me it seemed like Charles was actually being manipulative. Another thing worth noting is that we are reminded on two occasions that Charles isn’t just working on the voyeur case but on others. FP when Betty asks why Charles is still in town says ‘He’s helping me with the tapes and a couple other cases.” Later when Betty tells Kevin that she wants to invesitgate Charles she again asks why is he still in Riverdale and again Kevin replies ‘I thought he was helping out Jughead’s dad with some cases.’ To which Betty asks ‘What cases?’ We still haven’t got an answer to this but it did get me thinking what cases are still open and likely being investigated by FP. We know its not the Farm case as that one has now been solved, Evelyn is behind bars, Edgar is dead and the rest of the Farmies are getting treatment. Case closed. The only other case I can think of that has lose ends is the whole G&G storyline. Now I know you are probably thinking but that one did get solved we found out who was behind it. But while that is true we also know that although Hal was killed and Chic was arrested, Penelope escaped. We as an audience know where she is but the authorities don’t which means its still an open investigation. We know that there is a connection between Chic and Penelope, that they formed an alliance and he sort of became her apprentice. So my theory is that Charles isn’t actually really with Chic. I think Charles and the FBI are using his past connection with Chic as a way to get information about where Penelope might possibly be. Charles reached out to Chic and began to build back up the relationship between them, the trust between them. Basically Charles is pretending to be in love with Chic so that he can get information out of him which is why the polygraph didn’t pick up signs of deception, because Charles wasn’t technically lying.
To assess how likely this theory might be we have to look at Charles’ current behaviour but also his past behaviour and the character profile we have been given for him. We have several accounts of Charles’ character/ personality. The earliest chronologically in respect of Charles’ life comes from the Sisters of Quiet Mercy. In 2x19 when Betty visits them we get a couple of quick glimpses at Charles’ file. One in particular I think is quite interesting. This one, which is a behavioural report.
So there are a few things I want to point out in this report. We learn that Charles at this point has run away 3 times. Now I know its not the clearest of pictures but I was able to zoom in enough that I could read some of what was written. Firstly as you can see underlined in green the statement ‘Isolation of Charles Smith from other students seems to have curbed his desire to run away. Although he seems to want to be inclusive.’ This tells us that Charles is a socialable person, the Sister’s punished him for running away by isolating him and he hated it so much that it would stop his attempts to escape, for a while at least. They even note that he seems to enjoy being inclusive. Charles likes to be around other people and he likes to feel included. This is kinda backed up by Charles when he tells Betty that he’s always wanted to know what its like to be part of a real family. It seems to me that back then at the Sisters, Charles was trying to find that with the other students but he found there was still something missing which is why he has started to try and run away. The second detail I want to draw your attention to is the line underlined in yellow. Here it says ‘Charles is growing to be more and more difficult, yet Charles has never shown signs of violation before.’ Again this is painting a picture of a very obdient young boy, a nice young boy. Other than him now suddenly trying to run away he hasn’t caused any trouble. There is no mention of him being violent or angry or mean to other students or anything like that which I feel like there would be if that was something he was doing. It does seem like the only problematic thing he is doing is running away which lets be honest anyone who was stuck at the Sisters would try. The last thing worth noting is the part underlined in blue. ‘Charles is a good student on average and this behaviour is unusual.’ Again we are getting this image of a well behaved, responsible young boy where even the running away is unusual for him. The overall impression from this report is that Charles was a good kid who liked to socialise with others but felt like he was missing something and so he started running away in search of a real family.
This brings us to our next character assesment. This time it comes from the neighbour. The thing is the neighbour’s description is very similar to the one given in that report. By the time the neighbour meets Charles we know that he has spent some time on the streets and that he met Chic. Charles describes the period of time in his life at which he meets Chic as at his lowest. So we can assume that when the neighbour met Charles he wasn’t in the best of places. It is also possible from what we’ve been told by Charles and Chic that he had already started doing drugs at this point. The place where they were living wasn’t exactly the nicest. Yet despite all this the neighbour still paints Charles in a good light. She talks about how he always greeted her and carried her groceries again this is consistent with the ideas from the report that he is a social person. Again its telling us that he is a polite young boy and well mannered.
The last description of Charles character that we get from a third party comes from Alice in 3x17. This is when Betty thinks Alice is talking to her dead son but we know that she is actually talking to the real Charles as at this point she is already working undercover for the FBI. We don’t get much from Alice and lets be honest she’s very biased considering she’s his mother. But that doesn’t mean what she says is irrelevant. She tells Betty that she would love her brother. This tells us that Alice believes that Charles has certain qualties that she thinks Betty will like. She also goes on to say that Charles is the most beautiful boy she had ever seen. Now here she could be talking about his physical looks but she could also be talking about his personality. I have heard people describe someone as being beautiful on the inside. This could also be what Alice means that Charles is beautiful all round, both looks and personality wise.
All in all the general picture we get of Charles is that he’s a nice guy, he chats with his neigbours, he seems to want to help is family out, he helps Alice and Polly at the Farm, he’s helping FP with cases, he helps Jug with his research for the Baxter Brothers assignment and Betty with finding out about Bret and why she’s rejected from Yale and the prank calls. There are countless other instances that I could mention of him helping out his family members. There’s no denying that he has had a troubled past and overcome alot of difficulties but all in all I’m not seeing anything that would suggest he is some phychopath or bad guy. On the flip side of it though we’ve got the other Charles we see in that scene with Chic. Here Charles comes across as someone who is deceitful and willing to manipulate his own family, a vastly different person from what everyone else describes him as. So the real question is which of these two versions is the real Charles?
The other thing we should look at is his relationship with Chic. Again we get given two very different versions of what their relationship is like. If we go by the scene in the jail then it appears like they have a very loving relationship, in someways you could say it was sweet. They are calling each other babe and telling each other they love each other. The fact that they seem to have come up with the plan against the Cooper-Jones family together implies that they are united. However we are painted a very different picture by the neighbour. According to her they had a very violent and volatile relationship, they were always arguing and from the sounds of it they were very ugly fights. If you go with what the neighbour says then they had a very toxic relationship. There is another hint of unrest in their relationship. I get the feeling that Charles might not have been too happy with Chic’s choice of work. If we are to believe Charles about what happened the night the guy was killed then Chic waited until Charles left before having a client come over. From the way Charles was talking about it I just get the feeling that this could have been something they fought about alot. Also the way Charles talks about how it was the end of them and that he started over makes me think that Charles leaving Chic was something that was a long time coming. I feel like this relationship had a huge negative impact on Charles. But again we have the question of which version of their relationship is the true one? One thing I will say is that unlike Charles or Chic the neighbour has no reason to lie which in my opinion makes her testimony more reliable.
Could Charles be The Voyeur?
The main question on everyones mind is who is behind the video tapes that show up. Given Charles’ shady behaviour its not outside the realm of reason to think it might be him. So what evidence is there that suggests it could be Charles? Well firstly in the episode where the first video tape arrives literally right before Jughead asks Betty if Charles can be trusted. Then the door goes and Jug finds the tape on the doorstep. It can’t be a coincidence that the very first people to get a tape are Jughead and Betty and the Cooper-Jones household. Later more people get tapes but it all starts with them. It also does seem suspicious that they literally question Charles’ authenticity right when that tape shows up it does seem to be like the writers are trying to suggest a link between Charles and the tapes. It is possible that if, as I mentioned before, Charles really does hold a grudge against his family for not keeping him and giving him away then he might have left the video tape as a threat to them.
A similar thing happens later in 4x17 when Charles says to Jughead that he would hate to see what would happen if The Voyeur actually got inside one of the homes. Woe and behold come the episodes end we discover the Voyeur has gotten into someone’s home and has now bludgeoned them to death with a rock while wearing masks of Jughead and Betty who were the first to get a video tape. Again this makes it appear like the writers are trying to create a link between Charles and the tapes.
The other thing worth noting is that we have been shown Charles taking part in other forms of surveillance. In particualr tracking phones so it wouldn’t be that much of a leap to assume that he was also surveilling people through video tapes too. But here is one catch, Charles is in the FBI which means he has access to high tech surveillance equipment so if he were the Voyeur why would he use an old fashioned tape recorder when he could stick a tiny little camera inside someones house which would be much scarier to receive than footage of the outside.
In my honest opinion I don’t think that Charles is the Voyeur. I think the writers are using him as a red herring. I don’t think that Charles will turn out to be a bad guy. But I do think that they are going to try and make it seem like he is before there will be a twist and we’ll find out he was just being a FBI agent and that he is a decent fellow after all. The reasons why I think this is one because they had that reveal of Charles and Chic way to early in the show for it to be legit in my opinion, I just don’t think they would show him as the bad guy this early unless something isn’t what it seems. The other reason why is because I couldn’t help but see a parallel between Charles’ story an another characters. FP’s, his father. Think about it, we know they both had tough childhoods that weren’t filled with much love and sometimes faced abuse. FP was beat by his father and Charles was forced into isolation by the Sisters and god knows what else in that place. Both felt abandoned by their parental figures, Charles felt abandoned and unwanted by the family that put him up for adoption and FP felt abandoned and unwanted by his father who went out for cigarettes one day and never came back. Both struggled with an addiction, Charles with drugs and FP with alcohol. Both found themselves in a sticky situation where they had to get rid of a body, Charles was with Chic’s client and FP Jason’s. In both cases these traumatic events lead to them straightening out their lives with both joining help groups. Charles goes to regular Narcotics Anoynmous and FP regular AA meetings. Both ended up going into a law enforcement type role. Charles became a FBI agent and FP becomes Sheriff. So you see they’ve walked down the same path and I do think this is a delberate move on the writers part. I think they are continuing to keep this similarity between the two going by having the viewers believe that Charles is guilty and then revealing that its actually someone else like they did in Season 1 with FP. I wouldn’t be surprised in fact if someone tries to frame Charles as being The Voyeur and just when it looks certain it is him they do the flip and twist to reveal it wasn’t.
Whose Behind the Mask?
Ok so what if say its not Charles who else could it be? Well I do have a suspect in mind. We can get a lot of clues from that video tape Jughead found at the end of 4x17. In it we see two people in the woods. A male that is tied up and wearing a Jughead mask and is dressed the same way Jug usually does, it is obvious that whoever the person is they are very frightened. Then we see a female creep out from behind the trees and approach the male. She is also wearing a mask, one that looks like Betty and is also dressed up like how Betty usually dresses. She then proceeds to bludgeon the guy to death with a rock before holding it up menacingly and staring into the camera. What this tells us is that either the Voyeur is a woman or its more than one person and one of them is a woman. We can also see from the video that when the woman bends down to beat the guy you can see that she has dark hair. Now who do we know in the show that likes to dress up in masks, has a grudge against Betty and Jughead and likes to record people without their knowledge with a old style camera that requires video tapes? Donna and the Stonies maybe?
Here’s my evidence for why I think that the Stonies or more specifically Donna is behind the tapes. Firstly we know that Riverdale has a habit of bringing back villians. In pretty much every season a villian will seem to be conquered only to reappear a few episodes later to stir up more trouble. Penny Peabody does this, the Ghoulies, Chic, The Black Hood, The Gargoyle King and now Penelope Blossom. So it would make sense for Donna to pop back up as we don’t really know where she went after Betty threatened her.
Secondly the first video tape arrives on Jughead’s doorstep in the same episode that Jughead starts at Stonewall and causes some waves with Bret. It could be that The Stonies did it then to put Jughead on edge because they saw him as a threat. The second set of video tapes arrives right after the episode where Jughead and Betty confront Bret and Donna about Chippens suicide and the episode where its revealed that there is a camera in Jughead’s room at Stonewall. The third round appears in the episode after Jughead and Betty take down the Stonies and threaten Donna. There does appear to be a correlation between Jughead and Betty doing something to upset Donna and the Stonies and then video tapes showing up on the door steps. The last one really escalates as it also contains a video of a murder taking place.
I really do think that its Donna behind the Betty mask. We already know that she’s not opposed to someone being killed by a rock to the head. Also as I mentioned above the woman who killed the guy had dark hair. If you look at the pictures below.
Although its a little difficult to tell due to the fact they are wearing a different style of clothing, looking at the build of the woman in the Betty mask I do think its very similiar to Donna. In particular the shoulders seem to be the same width and the waist. Their arms appear to be the same length as does the length of their torso. As far as I can tell they seem to be around the same height though that one is more difficult to determine. Also the masks seem very similar in style to the bunny masks. They both have that cartoonish style to them. Then obviously the dark hair is a match too. I’m like 90% sure that Donna is masked Betty. We also know she’s got a reason to have a vendetta against Betty and Jughead also unlike her fellow Stonies she would be free to be able to commit the murder. Jonathon went missing we can assume that the others killed him to cover their tracks. Joan turned out to really be the child of a diplomat and leaves the country, Charles points out that she can’t return. Bret we can assume is put in prison for attempted murder. Donna is the only one who gets away scot free leaving her available to commit murders in the forest.
However I do have another theory or something to point out. We don’t actually know when this video was recorded. We assume it was recently but what if it wasn’t? What if this happened before Jughead’s attempted murder, like a practice run? Or it could have happened right after and the Stonies were planning to taunt Betty with it but backed out when they realised Jug was still alive? Or it could have happened recently, right now we’ve got no way of knowing. What is interesting is that someone has been murdered yet we have had no mention of a missing person. But there has to be someone missing out there. It does make me think of what Donna said to Betty I think it was in episode 15 when she’s talking about the perfect murder and she says ‘No body, No crime.’ I do wonder if maybe Donna was annoyed that she hadn’t commited the perfect murder. I mean everything on the attempt agaisnt Jughead went wrong and we know that Donna was the mastermind behind it. Maybe her ego was bruised and so she decided to try again. I do feel like Donna might be vain enough to think I’m going to record this because even though there’s video evidence I’ve commited the perfect murder so despite that they still won’t catch me. One thought that unfortunately crossed my mind was that if it is more recent then it could be moose who was killed. We know that the Stonies targeted Moose in the past and Jug wondered if it was because they couldn’t get to him directly so they went after Moose as a round about way of getting at Jug. What if this is a similar situation where Donna has realised she can’t get to Jug so she kills Moose instead to get back at Jughead. We know that Moose was left with nobody after his dad was arrested, he tells us as much in the beginning of season 4. If this is true then it might take a little while to report him missing which would explain why nothing has come up in the couple of days the videos have been out. Alternatively, just like we don’t know when this murder took place we also don’t know where it took place. The reason why there hasn’t been a report of a body or missing person could be because it didn’t happen in Riverdale. I’m really hoping I’m wrong about this one though because I love Moose so hopefully he’s still safe with the military.
Over all I do think that its much more likely that its Donna then it is Charles. She and the Stonies just seem to fit the MO more. They also seem to have more of a reason to go after Jughead and Betty and whilst the tapes are being sent to others the perpetrator does seem to have some fascination with Jughead and Betty. Also going back to my theory about someone framing Charles for it, Donna does now have a reason to go after Charles. One because he helped Jughead take the Stonies down. He was the one that provided the medical care Jug needed and who told Betty what to do to cover up the ‘murder’. He helped find the grandad and he was the one interrogating them all. Secondly another reason Donna could have to go after Charles is that she hates both Jughead and Betty, now more than ever, and Charles is the brother of both of them. If he got framed for murder it would hurt both of them. So yeah thats my theory on who I think the Voyeur may be and what I think mysterious Mr Charles Smith is up to. I can’t wait to see the next episode, I’ll probably post a review for it and some more theories after I’ve watched it. So as always thanks so much for reading and until next time guys.

Hope you enjoy :)
Wei Wuxian made his way back to their house, hoping he might be able to calm Jiang Cheng down and maybe pull back, or clarify, some of the things he’d said in the heat of his temper. He was so protective of Jiang Cheng, who to all intents had purposes, was his little brother even though they weren’t related by blood, that he hadn’t really thought what he’d said through. And he had hurt Jiang Cheng.
He’d hurt Lan Xichen too, but that he didn’t care about, his brother was his only concern.
Jiang Cheng was already in bed and had his back turned so he faced the wall when Wei Wuxian arrived.
He moved across the room knelt down next to the bed.
“Jiang Cheng”
The other ignored him, but Wei Wuxian could tell he wasn’t asleep as he was too tense.
“Jiang Cheng” he said again; “I know you aren’t sleeping, don’t ignore me”
“Leave me alone, Wei Wuxian” he could hear the upset in Jiang Cheng’s voice and he felt even worse.
“Come Jiang Cheng, lets talk, please. I said some silly things that probably stand further explanation. I was protecting you a little too zealously and I interfered in something that I shouldn’t have. I’m sorry”
“Sometimes it feels like you want to keep me in your shadow forever. That you don’t want me to grow up, that you don’t want me to ever have something before you”
The tearful litany made Wei Wuxian pause, that had never been his intention, but had it seemed to the other like that? Maybe, because of Jiang Cheng’s own insecurities.
“I would never do that to you, A-Cheng” he reached out to stroke a hand over Jiang Cheng’s hair soothingly.
The other sat up, slapping his hand away, “Leave me alone”
“Don’t be like that, didi” Wei Wuxian moved to sit on the edge of his bed and put his hands on Jiang Cheng’s shoulders, “I know I was very wrong to have interfered. You’re right, you are an adult, and able to make your own decisions, whether they worry me or not is my problem to deal with and not yours. You should have that talk with Lan Xichen, I don’t understand the whole Spiritmatch thing and I jumped in with very little information. You should let him tell you himself. I am sorry I attacked you both like that, and that you feel like I’m trying to keep you in my shadow, it’s the last thing I want” he realised the other was crying and he couldn’t bear it, “A-Cheng, don’t do that, its not so bad, honestly it will work out, you’ll see” he folded the other into a soothing hug; Jiang Cheng had unusually met him half way which was probably an indication of how hurt the other was, normally he’d rather punch Wei Wuxian in the shoulder than accept it to cry on.
“Just once it would be nice if someone chose me because it was me, not because I was anyone’s brother or son or fated one, just because I was the choice they wanted to make” Wei Wuxian stroked his back and continued to make soothing noises.
***
The next morning Wei Wuxian was up and away before Jiang Cheng woke up; something Jiang Cheng was thankful for, too embarrassed to face him this morning after his emotional meltdown. He wouldn’t be entirely surprised if Wei Wuxian had arranged it for that very reason, to save Jiang Cheng some face.
He decided to take a quick breakfast in the house and spend the day out in the woods, walking, perhaps practising his sword forms, and generally clearing his head.
Along with the tray of food that was delivered by one of the Wen’s servants was a note from Wen Qing, asking him to make himself available tomorrow for an examination.
He sent a positive response back, finished his meal in peace and disappeared for the day after leaving a brief note for Wei Wuxian explaining he’d be back later in case the other returned before him.
***
Wei Wuxian was on his way back to the house to check on Jiang Cheng when he ran into Mo Xuanyu and Wen Ning. Wei Wuxian was of course now accompanied by his permanent shadow, Lan er-gongzi.
“Hello you two, what are you up to?” Wei Wuxian greeted them.
He’d given some careful consideration overnight, given that they suspected Wen Ning was a half demon, to how he would react on meeting the other. He had decided to treat him as he would anyway, or at least as closely as he could; Wen Ning had risked himself to save Mo Xuanyu yesterday, and that was all he needed to know about the other until something happened to change his mind. Even if he was half demon that wasn’t enough to hold against him because he genuinely seemed like a shy, kind young man.
“Wen Ning is a crack shot archer, he was going to show me some tips at the training range”
“Ah, sounds good, perhaps you could give me some tips too one day soon, Wen Ning” Wei Wuxian offered, which made Wen Ning blush.
“I’m sure Wei-gongzi is too skilled to need my guidance” he looked up as Wei Wuxian patted his shoulder.
“Nonsense, I’m always eager to learn something new. How are you feeling after your injuries yesterday?”
“I’m fine, Jiejie tended to them in the evening and they’re almost healed now”
“You’re very lucky, Wen Qing is a very accomplished healer I understand” Wen Ning nodded, obviously proud of his elder sister.
“She is greatly favoured by Wen-zongzhu, is she not? A great honour” it was the first time Lan Wangji had spoken to the pair and Wen Ning looked a little uncomfortable. Which seemed to be the effect Lan Wangji had on most people as they didn’t know how to deal with his dispassionate nature. Neither did Wei Wuxian really, but he was the type of person who would learn as they went along, it wasn’t something that worried him.
Wen Ning nodded again at Lan Wangji’s statement.
Mo Xuanyu piped up then, as if coming to rescue Wen Ning from his discomfort, “Will you come with us to the range?”
“I may join you later, I want to see what Jiang Cheng is up to first, he hasn’t shown himself yet this morning. Don’t wait for me!” he waved as they moved on towards the accommodations.
They were almost there when Lan Wangji murmured his name softly.
“Wei Ying...”
“No” he turned, to the other and gave him a determined look. “I won’t treat him any differently until it’s proved he doesn’t deserve my trust”
“Ironically better than you treated my brother” he could see the moment Lan Wangji’s soul left his body as he realised he’d put his foot in his mouth again. And although Wei Wuxian accepted the comment was accurate and he didn’t take offence he couldn't pass up the opportunity to tease the other.
“It’s like you’re trying to remain a virgin for the rest of your life, Lan Zhan” Wei Wuxian told him.
“Wei Ying” Lan Wangji exclaimed, scandalised at his comment. Wei Wuxian noted the fact that although the other’s perfect, jade-like face didn’t flush with his embarrassment, his neck and his earlobes did. It was actually quite adorable and he couldn’t stop himself from reaching out to scratch at Lan Wangji’s chin. Lan Wangji seemed react to the caress like a cat, and Wei Wuxian wouldn’t have been entirely surprised to hear a purr come from the other’s throat.
***
He found the note from Jiang Cheng on his return so they decided to return to the Lan’s house instead and see how Lan Xichen fared with his research.
“Xiongzhang” Lan Wangji greeted his brother as they entered, Lan Xichen didn’t look up.
“Wangji, Wei-gongzi” he acknowledged shortly.
It seemed Wei Wuxian still hadn’t been forgiven for his transgression last night.
Not that he had expected to be yet.
“Have you discovered anything?”
“I’m still looking, something that would go much more smoothly if I was left undisturbed” an annoyed Lan Xichen was almost alien to Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian could tell he didn’t know how to handle his elder brother at the moment.
Wei Wuxian had been the cause, and although he couldn’t magically fix it he could certainly try and help give them the opportunity to fix it themselves.
He moved towards the table and sank to his knees next to it, edging into Lan Xichen’s eyeline. He saw the other redouble his efforts to ignore Wei Wuxian and focus on the text in front of him; but he edged closer and waved the paper, “Zewu-jun, a peace offering”
Lan Xichen finally looked up from the book and fixed him with a look, “There is no need, please do not interfere more than you already have, Wei-gongzi. I can certainly do without your version of assistance”
“Xiongzhang...” Wei Wuxian held his hand up to halt Lan Wangji from coming to his defence; he unfolded the paper and placed it in front of Lan Xichen.
The other looked at it, had almost risen to his feet before he even realised it, then sank back down, pushing the paper away.
“I should finish here” he said finally, and waved a dismissing hand at them both.
“Xiongzhang, you have been here all morning, taking a break for a while will not hurt” Lan Wangji argued.
And Wei Wuxian was able to watch the war in his eyes, eventually his need to talk to Jiang Cheng won out and he closed the book, rose, picked up Shuoyue, and left.
Wei Wuxian was about to open one of the books when there was a knock at the door. He picked them up and shoved them under the bedclothes on one of the beds while Lan Wangji moved to the door; he opened it when he was sure Wei Wuxian had hidden them from sight well enough.
“Luo-guniang” he greeted and stood back to allow her entry.
“Lan er-gongzi, Wei-gongzi” she cupped her hands and bowed, and they returned the salute.
“I have important news. Have you heard yet? One of the disciples from Wu Sect was sent home this morning, she took ill yesterday evening. After a consultation with Wen Qing”
“Took ill?”
“Jin-gongzi saw her leave, he said she looked confused, and drained, like she was completely exhausted. How could it be possible to become so sick in just a few hours and not have the best healer in the land notice anything wrong with you before you did?”
While he had concerns over what she said, Wei Wuxian was also curious to know why she had come to report it to them.
“Why are you telling us?” he asked, his arms folded.
“Wei-gongzi, I didn’t come in off the farm yesterday. It’s obvious more than meets the eye is going on here, we all suspected it from the very night of the feast, and your suddenly becoming bosom friends with Lan er-gongzi and keeping quiet about what you saw yesterday makes it very obvious you’re getting involved in something right up to your knees”
He marvelled at her deductive reasoning; she was a formidable woman, keeping quiet, taking everything in around her, absorbing the available information like a sponge, then acting when she saw it as time.
“I’m neither confirming nor denying any such involvement”
“If you’re not involved you won’t want the rest of the information I have then...” she shrugged and made to walk away, but Wei Wuxian dashed forward and took hold of her arms gently.
“Now, Luo-guniang, don’t be like that. Perhaps you could tell us for completeness” Wei Wuxian suggested, raising his eyebrows in question.
“I will tell you, but when you investigate this, I want to be involved”
“Absolutely not” Lan Wangji said as Wei Wuxian agreed.
Wei Wuxian looked at Lan Wangji, “Lan Zhan, Luo-guniang is a very strong cultivator, and obviously a very clever one, she won’t hold us up”
“There will be no us, if there is danger the only people involved will be Xiongzhang or I, this is our task, not yours, nor Luo-guniang's”
“Am I having these nightmares? Is Luo Qingyang? It’s very much our business too. You don’t get to decide whether we sit and watch or not Lan Zhan, you may say we can’t go with you, but that certainly doesn’t mean I’ll sit and wait for you to come back, I’ll go myself if I have to”
“You won’t, I’ll be with you too” Luo Qingyang confirmed and again the look of frustration crossed Lan Wangji’s face but he must surely know enough about Wei Wuxian’s personality to know the other wouldn’t sit gamely by in a situation like this.
Lan Wangji gave the briefest of nods eventually, his mouth tight.
“A member of the Jin clan has been invited to an examination tonight, I think we should follow them and try to find out what we can about what happens when Wen Qing runs an examination, and see if there’s any link to the state the Wu sect disciple was in when she left for home this morning” Luo Qingyang informed them.
***
Wen Ruohan listened to Wen Qing’s report and the failure of the second test subject. They had a third planned for that evening, but she had doubts about viability of this one too.
“This is all very disappointing” he drummed the fingers of his right hand on the arm of his throne-like chair, and Wen Qing bowed her head.
“I’m sorry, Wen-zongzhu. The failure is mine”
Although he was very disappointed with their lack of progress he was fully aware this was likely to take time, eventually the cultivators here would start to suspect something but he didn’t think that it should be yet, and really what they were looking for was trial and error, like any experiment. If they knew the perfect solution they wouldn’t even need to undertake this part of the plan.
“Nonsense, these things take time, we understood that, I’m merely frustrated and wish to be making progress. It will come though. Perhaps we start testing the cultivators who had the strongest reactions to the dreams”
“I have already arranged for one to be tested tomorrow, Wen-zongzhu, I hope you won’t be disappointed for too much longer” she bowed again; there was a lot of tension in her shoulders, he hoped she wasn’t having second thoughts about her involvement with their work here, it would have some rather dire consequences for everyone involved if she did.
Wen Ruohan resolved to keep a close watch on his star healer.

Notes on my Randomized Platinum Quarantinelocke
A few weeks back, I decided to do a new type of Nuzlocke called a Quarantinelocke based around the Covid-19 Pandemic and take notes so I could see how it went. For recap, the rules were:
1: Social Distancing - Only three pokemon may be in your party at once. If a fouth enters your party, it may not be used, and must be deposited as soon as possible.
2: Nonessential Activities - You are only allowed to talk with essential NPCs (NPCs talking with is required, healers, and shopkeepers).
3: Medicinal Shortages - You may not use items that heal status ailments.
4: Infection - If one of your Pokemon dies, the other two Pokemon in your party are considered infected and must be quarantined. They can not be deposited in the box, box Pokemon can not be added to the team, and wild Pokemon are automatically sent to the box. This infection can be cured by beating a major boss (Rival, Gym Leader, Elite Four Member, Legendary, or Evil Team Admin).
So, how did it go? Badly. Really badly. I accidentally made one of the most difficult challenge runs I’ve ever done. Let’s start at the beginning of my Pokemon Platinum QuarantineLocke run…
I started out in a randomized version of Pokemon Platinum and was given a choice between Dratini, Todadile, and Chimchar. I chose Dratini and named him Argo. Unfortunately, Dratini starts out with Wrap and Thunderwave. The first few routes were slow; I could win battles, but it took forever. After beating my rival I caught Bobo the Spinarak, Crash Bandi the Bidoof, and my early game godsend: Dumbelle the Makuhita. Makuhita’s access to powerful physical moves like Arm Thrust, Fake Out, and Vital Throw allowed me to easily sweep my way to Roark. Along the way I caught Enzo the Ekanz, Fran the Nincada, Galvan the Mareep, Horrid the Stunky, Ignis the Chimchar, and Janice the Swinub.
Two things I learned quickly on this run: there are a lot of useful items unavailable because of rule 2, including the Quick Claw; and it is a godsend that they removed poison killing you out of battle in this Gen, because I got poisoned on Route 201 and would have lost the run before getting the Pokedex.
I went into Roark with Makuhitta at level 16, Dratini at level 14, and Chimchar at level 5, thinking I would have an easy time. Makuhitta killed Roark’s Geodude with ease, but died to a critical Headbutt from his Cranidos. Dratini barely managed to beat Cranidos with Wrap and Thunder Wave, giving him enough exp to grow to Level 15 and learn Twister. Through gratuitous use of Potions and Twister, Dratini took Onyx out. This was an insanely intense battle and probably the best part of the run.
After beating Roark I replaced Makuhitta with Mareep and grinded the whole team up, evolving Mareep into Flaaffy, evolving Chimchar into Monferno, and teaching Dragon Rage to Dratini. Dragon Rage made Dratini go from near useless to an unstoppable killing machine.
After catching and boxing Kold the Snorunt, I stormed Valley Windworks and took on Mars. Her Purugly gave me some trouble, but I was able to take it out with a few Mach Punches from Monferno. I caught Leonardo the Squirtle and Moof the Drifbloom as I headed into Eterna Forest, where some crazy lady ran up to me and stuck to me like glue, in spite of pandemic guidelines. She actually said that “There is safety in numbers”. Idiot.
Upon arriving in Eternia City, I received devastating news: you have to talk to Dawn’s father to get the EXP Share. Meaning I would have to switch-train for the rest of the run, something far slower and far more dangerous than using the EXP Share. Damnit.
I caught Nip the Corphish on Route 211 and accidentally killed an Electrike in Mt Cornet before Flame Wheeling all of Gardenia’s Pokemon to death. Galactic Admin Jupiter was a hard fought battle, pushing my team to its limit, but I managed to win through a combination of Thunderwave, Potions, and Dragon Rage. I caught Nordbert the Graveler, Ohm the Shix, Poach the Eggsecute, and Rosa the Bellsprout on my way to Fantina. I also got a VS Seeker, which I decided I can use because reasons.
Tragedy struck while grinding for Fantina when a Machop with Revenge killed Monferno, forcing me to take on Fantina with only Dratini and Faaffy before being able to add in a new team member. Worse, a Haunter took out Dratini as I was making my way through the gym. I grinded up Flaaffy, delaying evolution until it learned Discharge, and Proton Packed Fantina’s French ass.
I added Eggsecute and Drifbloom into the team and easily beat Barry, using Ampharos for everything but Roselia, which Eggsecute took out with Confusion. I hatched Cynthia’s egg into Quizno the Scissor, caught Silky the Silcoon, Terrance the Carvanah, Uggghhh the Gloom, and Volt the Voltorb. I also searched Solaceon Ruins for the Leaf Stone I thought was there, but apparently there’re only Fire, Water, and Thunder Stones.
I almost killed Eggsecute in a double battle against a Ponyta and Rapidash by using Discharge, caught Whistle the Jigglypuff, Xerxes the Bonsly, and Yella the Loundred before arriving in Veilstone. I discovered that the Game Corner is off limits and easily beat Maylene with Eggsecute and Ampharos. I replaced Drifloon with Loudred, who immeadietly died when I forgot using Uproar prevents you from switching out. I caught Zoro the Murkrow, Amelie the Wobufet, Boxer the Wooper, and beat Barry again. I added evolved Wooper to the team and evolved him. I also found a hidden leaf stone in the Great Marsh and finally got an Exeggutor.
Before fighting Wake, I decided to grind. I caught Carumba the Lombre and Diamond the Eevee. Unfortunately, I ran into a wild Wobufet who killed Execcutor. To add salt to the wound, a trainer with a Leafeon killed Boxer during a double battle. I strolled into wake with a single Pokemon, a level 41 Ampharos. The battle, especially against his Quagsire, was tough, but I pulled through by using Hyper Beam and potions.
I added Graveler and Snowrunt to the team and evolved Snowrunt into Froslass. Both of them died before I made it to Celestic Town. I beat Cyrus, caught Ember the Torchic, Fancy/Fang the Clamperl, Gaaaryyy the Slakoff, Horny the Lickitung, Ird the Natu, and Juice the Kabuto. I grinded Torchic and Squirtle up until they fully evolved and beat Barry in Canalave. I Caught Klynt the Shuckle and Lard the Hariyama. Blaziken took out Byron’s Bastiodon and Magneton while Blastoise handled his Steelix. I beat Saturn easily, but Mars’s lake battle was guarded by a double battle against two Murkrow, one of which killed Blaziken with a critical Wing Attack. I took down Mars despite her Hypnosis and Slash spam and promoted Hariyama to the team.
I grinded Hariyama up at Iron Island and went north, catching Mo the Tentacool, Naivue the Smeargle, Olympia the Vibrava, and Phish the Goldeen. Candice went down easy and I went to Veilstone HQ, where Aaron’s egg hatched into Quentin the Phanpy. A grunt’s Golbat with Mean Look, Confuse Ray, and Poison Fang took out Blastoise; after beating Cyrus and Saturn I added Vibrava to the team. She died while grinding. This is why the EXP Share is important.
I climbed Spear Pillar, took out Cyrus, and took on the beast of the Distortion World. What monster did the randomizer replace Ghiratina with? Giratina, because the randomizer can’t change Giratina for some reason. I named it Randumb and boxed it.
I caught Seed the Jumpluff, Seed the Nidorino, and Upside Don the Hitmontop. I added Nidorino to the team and started grinding it up, hoping to use a Nidoking to take out Volkner. It died while I was grinding, so I taught Hariyama Earthquake and took out Volkner that way. I added Carbanah to the team, caught Verylame the Parasect, killed a Delibird for the sin of existing, and went into Victory Road.
Hariyama was killed by a trainer’s Tortera in Victory Road, but I made it through without losing anyone else. I barely beat Barry’s Snorlax, added Hitmontop to the team, and began grinding for the Elite Four. Carvanah was killed by an Afterburn Drilblim, forcing me to take on the Elite Four with only Ampharos and Hitmontop.
I said fuck it, bought as many healing and battle items as I could carry, used all my rare candied on Ampharos, and ran on in. The victory of this run rested solely on whether or not a level 68 Ampharos with Thunderbolt, Signal Beam, Power Gem, and Double Team was enough to beat five tough trainers in a row.
Ampharos managed to take out Aaron and even Bertha, but was burned and critted by Flint’s Houndoom. Hitmontop fell shortly after. Game Over.
So, thoughts on the run? Not my cup of tea. It’s hard, but it isn’t fun hard. Not talking to people, no changing team until you beat a boss, and only three Pokemon are good rules on their own, but putting them together is just frustrating. I’m gonna leave this run in the trash for now.

one absolutely wild trope that happens in 2ha
is chu wanning turns into a child version of himself as a side effect of OVERDOING A SPELL, and has his clan leaders keep it a secret - but he still has to do his important cultivating work. so when mo ran gets chosen to go to a place to practice cultivating, Chu Wanning also comes as his ‘kid self secret identity’ and mo ran treats him as a cute little brother and is so NICE to him which is wild. because when Chu Wanning is clearly-himself Mo Ran is torn between horny on main and wanting to Slaughter the guy, or Both At Once.
meanwhile Chu Wanning is usually a cold bitch on main, but as a kid he indulges himself Intensely and just lets himself cuddle and get made soup and given food and get brought along to hang out and it’s like!!! okay Chu Wanning i get it!!! YOU’RE A SOFTIE!!! Why can’t you be a LITTLE nicer when you’re clearly-yourself and not using a secret identity!!!
The whole thing gets WILDER when they go into a daydream vision trial thing (which i think is ACTUALLY just time travel), and very likely run into either LITERALLY actual child Chu Wanning or else his dad... and Mo Ran is like... hey Shidi... little brother... you look HELLA like Chu Wanning... you look EXACTLY like a KID Chu Wanning would HAVE...
and so in order to Not-Expose-His-Actual-Identity, because then Chu Wanning would have to admit he’s a HUGE SOFTIE who’s also currently running around as a cute kid instead of Fearsome Bitch Bastard Man... he’s like “OH I’M CHU WANNING’S KID.”
meanwhile... Chu Wanning is a virgin. And Mo Ran’s fairly sure HE’S the one that gets to bang Chu Wanning first one day... and so Mo Ran becomes fucking OBSESSED with CURIOSITY about Chu Wanning ever Banging someone before him, let alone sleeping with a WOMAN, or having a FREAKING KID.
Anyway Chu Wanning protects his own secret identity by lying and saying he’s his own kid. Which is wild as hell whenever he changes back and forth from adult form to kid form over and over, and lies to Mo Ran two different ways, both of which just keep PINGING Mo Ran’s suspicions because... honestly who wouldn’t be hella suspicious...
Anyway that is just ONE SINGLE wild fucking plot in 2ha. 2ha is absolutely CHOCK FULL of wild plots every few chapters or so. I really need the time to GET BACK INTO IT AND FINISH READING IT.
Also... Mo Ran is truly a demon. He’s like. The most hands down “Hi welcome to my story I’m the Bad Guy. The BIGGEST bad guy. I’m a complete bastard. Welcome. >D” and part of what makes the characters so interesting to me, is how part of the intrigue is HOW are these completely fucked up individuals ever going to become ‘heroes’??? Or even likable to me, let alone to Each Other???’
and the writing is so funny and fun to envision that even when the characters are still evolving into more decent people, even as you slowly get the layers peeled back to start understanding them... the writing is always so fun to read. Chu Wanning and Mo Ran the bastards are as fun to like as the kinder insides they become once they both grow as people more.
--
But yeah, as far as wild plots go... 2ha literally opens with “Hi I’m Mo Ran, I went on a bloody rampage to become Emperor of All, then I was fucking bored and killed myself after making the Whole World A Living Hell... anyway for some fucking reason I woke up as my teenage self again and now I’m living my life over?!!! Well you know what maybe I can save some people’s lives I loved... and no one knows i’m the evil bitch that’s gonna kill everyone yet... :3 I’m going to enjoy my childhood this time around.”
Then it ramps up into ghost-bride weddings, dream kisses with the wrong person, secret identity shennanigans, and so many other bizarre fucking things... and crescendos into “OH FUCK i think ANOTHER version of Me, of MO RAN, is ALSO BACK IN THE PAST... and he’s the FULL EVIL EMPEROR me... killing everyone, ruining everyone’s life... even MINE right NOW... the BASTARD.” And it’s literally Mo Ran re-living his life (post evil Emperor lifestyle) versus Mo Ran the Evil Emperor Bitch. Self v. Self is the 1st 100 chapter build up. What a wild choice. Also like... you literally HAVE TO do interesting character analysis and exploration with such a setup. The setup is literally how different versions of you, shaped by and choosing experiences diffferently, react and choose to move forward and decide who to be. Its a hugely character driven story, despite also having a very active and action paced plot that’s also very fun to read (and ties into the character analysis and arcs quite well)...
Can’t believe i’m only in the chapter 90s...
#rant#2ha#this is entirely just a rant about 2ha's story#the 1st 100 chapters#anyway all i can really say is.#do mind the fic warnings if you ever decide to read it.#and if u do read it - the characters and writing style is excellent#there's never a boring moment

Hunter and Witch
Mary knew that witches had their worth. The Campbells had drilled it into every child’s head how to tell the good witches from the bad witches, and how to keep the good witches in your pocket. Not every hunter had the knack for spellcasting, and some spells just needed the power a witch could bring to the table.
However, the witch who had just waltzed into the bunker like she owned the place was none other than Rowena MacLeod. The worst part was that both of her sons hugged the witch like they hug her. It was too familiar. It was wrong.
Sam brought Rowena over to reintroduce them. “Mom, you remember Rowena?” He smiled and gestured at the redhead who had politely bowed her head. “She’s…”
“A witch, I know.” Mary interrupted. “Rowena MacLeod.” She looked at both of her sons before continuing. “I may have died, but I didn’t forget things.”
“Aye, apparently my reputation precedes me.” Rowena had the courtesy to blush. “Not all of it is true, but I’d be more than happy ta talk ta ye.” Her violet eyes were hopeful as she gestured to the war table.
Mary watched Sam and Dean shoot concerned looks at each other before she returned her attention back to the petite witch. “Perhaps another time.” She walked past the group and headed towards her room, upset at the intrusion the witch had brought upon her restored life.
***
The next morning Mary found herself about to interrupt a light-hearted conversation between Rowena and Dean in the kitchen. She paused right outside the kitchen and peeked in. The witch looked impeccable, her hair neatly coifed on top of her head, sipping at what appeared to be a cup of tea. Dean was smiling – genuinely smiling – over a cup of coffee, his amusement at whatever Rowena had just said evident.
The scene felt like a mother and son bonding. Mary couldn’t take it. She entered the kitchen and cleared her throat. “Morning.” She walked over to the coffee pot, and grabbed a mug from nearby, checking to make sure it was clean.
“Good Morning Mom.” Dean smiled at her. He turned to Rowena. “I’m going to go check and see if Sammy’s back from his run. Cas should be coming back with Jack today too.”
“Aye. I’ll be here, dearie.” She patted his hand.
Dean stopped and kissed Mary on the cheek before exiting the kitchen. Without him in the room, the tension skyrocketed. Rowena sat quietly and stirred at her tea while watching Mary make her coffee. While she didn’t feel threatened, she didn’t like the scrutiny that came with her drink preparations.
“Am I doing something wrong?” She huffed.
Rowena’s eyebrow raised, an elegant gesture of confusion. “I’m sorry?”
Mary finished pouring her cup of coffee and turned to face the witch. “You’re staring. What am I doing wrong?” She brought her mug to her lips and took a sip.
“Nothing.” Rowena smiled. “I was appreciating the view, mo teine.”
Mary choked on her coffee, spitting some of it back into her mug. She slammed the mug back on the counter, staring at it, wishing it would have broken.
“The boys buy shatter proof ones for that reason.” Rowena quipped, as though she had heard the hunter’s thoughts. “Ye’d be surprised how oft the boys be throwing them. Anger issues.” Her eyebrows raised briefly.
“Anything else you care to tell me about my boys, witch?” Mary glared at the smaller redhead.
Rowena placed her cup on the saucer in front of her. “Aye, there are many things that I can be tellin’ ye mo teine.” She got up and sauntered gracefully over to Mary. “But it ain’t my place.” She gently placed a hand on the taller woman’s cheek. “I mean ye no harm. I dunnae know why ye think I do.” Rowena walked out of the kitchen, leaving behind more questions than answers.

Mary’s mood didn’t improve after Cas and Jack returned. Even the Angel and the Nephilim were cozy with the witch. Jack was chattering away happily with Rowena about what he and Cas had done on their hunt. Rowena’s smile was genuine as she listened to Jack, and she encouraged him to continue with his story. Cas stood back with Dean, his head on the hunter’s shoulder watching the scene unfold.
It warmed Mary’s heart to see this little family blossom, but at the same time it was shattering because it wasn’t her sitting where Rowena was. She knew she had missed so much. She didn’t get the chance to be a parent to her children. She didn’t know them. She was trying, but why did they look to a witch for a maternal support?
She quietly turned to walk out of the room and bumped right into Sam.
He let out a quiet oomph at the impact but was able to grab Mary before she fell backwards. “Sorry Mom.” He looked at her questioningly for a moment before pulling her into a hug.
“What’s that for?”
“You look like you need it.” He looked over her head and saw the familial scene in the library. “Come on.” He took her hand and led her to kitchen. He guided her to the table before walking over to fridge and grabbing two beers.
Mary sat down and ran her fingers through her hair, sighing as she took the beer from Sam. “Shouldn’t I be the one mothering you?”
“That’s what’s bothering you, isn’t it?”
“It’s that obvious huh?” She cracked her beer open and took a swig. “Am I that easy to read?”
“Well, you are our Mom. And Dean takes after you a lot. And I can read Dean like a book. So yes.”
Mary snorted. “So, what else can you tell?”
“You want to blame Rowena.” Sam didn’t hesitate in his answer. “You don’t like that we know her. You think she’s an evil person. You probably wonder if she has us under some kind of spell.” Mary nodded, and Sam continued. “The way you acted when I tried to give you a proper introduction, sounds like you’ve heard of her.”
“She was a known entity when I was a teenager. Looks exactly the same now, as she did then. Beautiful, fiery, dangerous.” Mary sighed. “No one could catch her. We didn’t know how. It was as if she could disappear into a puff of smoke.” She looked back towards the library. “I admired her, but I was so fearful of her. It was drilled into me. And to see her just so casual with you all. I’m terrified.”
Sam nodded. “It hasn’t always been good times with her. But she has come a long way. Dean calls it her redemption arc.” Mary scoffed. “Mom, look, I know you’re wary. Why don’t you spend some time with her? She actually expressed interest in getting to know you as well.”
“So, you want me to get to know the woman who’s been more a mother to you than I have?”
“Aye, ye think that. But I’m just someone they could turn to.” Sam and Mary turned to face the entrance to the kitchen. Rowena was standing there holding her teacup. “Samuel, could ye give me and yer mum a moment please?”
Sam looked back at his mom and offered her an encouraging smile before standing up and leaving the kitchen.
Rowena had grabbed another teacup and set it in front of Mary. “I know that ale is the go-to around here, but I promise I make a good cup of tea.” She had put the kettle on and started mixing some tea leaves with some other herbs that they kept in the kitchen. “Ye have every right to not trust me Mary. I cannae say that I blame ye. The hunter lifestyle teaches you black and white with few shades of grey in betwixt.”
Mary watched as the witch skillfully put the blend into tea infusers, before bringing them over to the cups. “What do you want with the boys?” She quietly asked.
“Nothing.”
“What do you mean nothing?”
“I mean, yer boys are family. I don’t want them for some grand scheme. I mean they have been spending the better part of the past 14 years making their own family. For some crazy reason they want me in it. They showed me redemption and I took it. I’ve been helping them.” A kettle whistled and Rowena went to get fetch it. “We dinnae see eye ta eye at first, clearly. But I’d do just about anything for them.” She poured hot water into each cup. “Three minutes mo teine, and not a moment more.”
“I don’t understand.” Mary looked up at Rowena. “You just changed?”
“No one ever truly changes. But we grow, and we evolve, and we become the best version of ourselves.”
“That’s not change?”
Rowena slowly and gently cupped Mary’s chin. “Did ye mean what ye told Samuel?”
Mary swallowed. “What did I say to him?”
“That I’m ‘beautiful, fiery, and dangerous.’”
“You are indeed dangerous.” Rowena raised an eyebrow. “And you haven’t aged. So yes, you are still beautiful and fiery.” Mary admitted.
“So, have I changed?”
Mary involuntarily licked her lips. “No.”
Rowena leaned in closer, her lips now a hair's breadth away from Mary’s. “And would ye change me? Knowing that I wouldna harm ye?”
Mary’s eyes flickered to Rowena’s lips before looking her in the eyes again. “I don’t think I would.”
Rowena planted a kiss on Mary’s forehead. “Good.” She grabbed the diffusers out of their teacups. “Now, let’s talk. And perhaps, mo teine, we can get to know each other better.”
