#watching a vid abt the egyptian goddes taweret#and the man is describing how she's depicted in the art and sculpture of the time#and he's just focusing on how she's ugly#like my god shut up#like we could have had a great discussion abt pregnancy in antiquity and how it was depicted#u could discuss the way the domain of fertility goddesses have historically included both sex appeal and pregnancy#and how in the ancient world they may not have been considered multually exclusive#u could compare her to the venus of willendorf if u want to talk abt how she compares to even older art of depicting women#u could compare her to the goddesses of the neighboring maghreb and horn of africa and levant#but noooo#tbh i had to stop the vid immediately
