absolutely adore how well re4 remake handled ashley graham. she went from this really flat character that is honestly really annoying at times and couldn't defend herself AT ALL to a character full of personality who can't fully defend herself but she TRIES & she's absolutely lovely. fuck yeah. need more remasters like this.

I'll say that even if Isaac from the games was a 1-dimensionally evil bastard with no depth like so many N!fans deride him as, I'd rather have that than a character that tries to be deep and nuanced but is horribly written. Like, I prefer a character like Diseny's Jafar or Ursula to a character like Netflix Isaac.

Oh, but that's not what they mean :) Isaac isn't boring. He's a stupid character. Because he doesn't take himself completely seriously. Because he's flamboyant, which makes him cringe. Because he's "bad representation" (to which I say, lol and lmao). Because he wouldn't make the pacing screech to a halt to talk veeeeeeeryyyyyyyyy sllllloooowllllllyyyyy about faux-philosophical stuff that sounds so OMG Deep™ until you scratch the veneer of pretentious word choice.

People have said that Godbrand is pretty much game Isaac in NFCV form. And it fits, doesn't it? A buffoon that is treated as comic relief, whose characterization is mainly "violent guy who kills, fucks and makes boats", and the two times he activates his braincell, he first gets talked down into submission by Dracula (who, as a reminder, did not do the same with the much more outrageous Carmilla) and then he gets outright killed like a jobber by N!Isaac, showing the latter as the strong badass he'll keep being. After 4 episodes of screentime.

And that says a lot about NFCV and its tone.

Is the LMK fandom the way it is because most people in it migrated from TOH fandom, where characters flaws don't go beyond "cares too much" or "clumsy"

TBH I think it's from the n*njago overlap, and it's just a younger fandom in general. The fandom standard used to be ship and let ship, and now purity culture is very widespread you know you know. The TOH fandom is just part of a larger trend

Personally I think that a nuclear waste warning system we should consider is to put all the typical written warnings away from the actual dumps, in the same general area but not close enough to draw an immediate connection, and have them say that there is a danger and how it works but not where it is, and then cover the actual dump in all the concrete

i made the mistake of checking the comments on riverdales instagrams post about tabitha and so many people were saying that tabitha brings nothing to the show. i’m sorry, are we talking about the same tabitha tate? the one who saved riverdale twice, once on her own at the last minute? the tabitha tate who gave up everything with the one she had fallen in love with so that he could at least be happy in the new reality and went on to work out how she could save riverdale again by herself for however long it would take? what makes me so sad is that i know if tabitha had come to riverdale and had just helped jughead get back with betty and went on to date reggie everyone would love her and worship her. literally what happened with jopaz is just happening with tabitha and people don’t like her and find her a worthless character because she dated jughead and he’s happy with someone who helped heal him and get over someone who broke his heart. but whatever. let’s imagine a riverdale without tabitha. do you see it? yeah everyone’s dead and season 7 is the sweet hereafter. what a season to go out on without tabitha. percival also would have taken riverdale over so like. shut up.
