Was just talking w a mutual and had a realization during the chat that I thought I’d share. Taylor has essentially given our little korner of the internet TTPD secret sessions w all these anon messages. Many of these messages were literally sent a whole yr ago so there’s no way anyone could’ve known what the next album was gonna be abt back then and written us these messages to troll us. It’s like she was giving us a teaser of the concepts and ideas and song rough drafts as she was writing them which is absolutely crazy to think abt. So she actually did continue her tradition of having secret sessions before the album release but just did it in a much more covert way this time. A true secret session lol. I always wanted to win the lottery and I guess I did just not in the way I thought I would. I’m not really sure why she chose to do that and give us the context for all these songs but I’m extremely grateful and honored she did
#like this is w/out a doubt the coolest thing that’s ever happened to me in my life#and it will be even crazier if she ever confirms she was the one who sent those messages#pumpkin

fuck yeah! i love ask games! i mean- this isn't a system blog, but i still love answering them
1. are there any in-sys friend groups that wouldn't happen in canon, but makes sense to you?
uhhhhhh i mostly associate w/ my three friends frm source so i on't think i can really answer this one lmao
2. what source do you have the most fictives from?
either sonic or amphibia. nvm after checking i was quickly humbled with "amphibia: 18" and then "sth: 28". sonic its sonic. sth franchise has th emost fictives holy shit that's almost a ... holy shit i did the math that is basically 1/10 of our sys that's just prurely sonic fictives wht the hell
3. do people often change their names after splitting?
the first ones got to keep theri own name, so i guess not, but all the other ones usually do change their names. (e.g.; sonic gets to keep the name sonic since he was the first one, but also has quite a few other names, but the sonic fictives that come after rawr usually do change their name to avoid confustion, but some do also use their source name along with that if htere is a situation where it wouldn't be confusing
4. who has the coolest name in your opinion?
i think apatite. god that's a good pun. though euryale is also really fucking cool.
5. what's your favorite thing about your source?
uhhhhh my friends i guess?? i mean the world was really cool but itw as also really fucking dangerous. it's basically a "10/10, would not recommend."
6. least favorite thing about your source?
the monsters oh god the MONSTERS why was that world so dangerous??? huh??? why did i have to watch my every step if i walked into a forest unless i wanted to be attacked by some beast???? i mean - i didn't really watch out and usually had to fight the monsters,, the insects,, but STILL it shouldn't have to be normal to expect to fight some shit if youre going into a forest!!!
7. do you like your source's fandom? why or why not?
i think i do :) compared to other fandoms ive seen, i think the amphibia fandom is pretty chill.or chiller than most. trans anne is based btw. even though im not trans myself
8. have you ever met any sourcemates outside of your system?
i've SEEN sourcemates but never really met any yet :(
9. what's a quote or lyric that reminds you of yourself?
uhhh quotes from where??? myabe "you know i am that girl" from it girl??
10. is your source popular?
i think the owl house might be much more popular, but i don't think amphibia is like- unknwon. it s like a "not everyone knows about it, but it certainly has quite a fandom".
11. who's your best friend in-sys? would your sources be friends, do you think?
fluffy!!! pup's an alternate universe of me. and i think i wouldn't be immediate friends with her...,, unfortunately.. thing is, she was treated as a pet, and i think my source self, even if she has seen a lot in amphibia, would be incredibly weirded out if she saw a version of heerself acting like a pet, like a dog. especially if they also cannot talk.i think anyone would really. but i think that my source self would still try to get closer and eventually they become bffs!!
12. do you miss anyone from your source?
anyone i might miss is here in the sys. well, except maybe hop pop & polly. i really miss those two goofballs. my family isn't complete, but it's more than i could've asked for. (marcy, sasha, & sprig are all also in the sys btw)
13. what do you look like in the head? how does that compare to your souce? the body?
i don't look that different from source tbh. been here for like almost 2 years & have not fucking changed a little bit, except for changing clothes but honesly who doens't do that?
14. what's your favorite song?
soldier, poet, king. no doubt.
15. do you like talking about your past?
i don't really have a that significant amount of memories, so i can't really say anyting about that,, but i can say that i do like talking about source :33
16. what's your biggest fear? is it related to your source?
don't feel that comfortable answering this. but probably death. that's all i'll say.
Introject Ask Game
(This ask game will probably continue to be updated, feel free to check the original post to see if there's more.)
Are there any in-sys friend groups that wouldn't happen in canon, but make sense to you?
What source do you have the most fictives from?
Do people often change their names after splitting?
Who has the coolest name in your opinion?
What's your favorite thing about your source?
Least favorite thing about your source?
Do you like your source's fandom? Why or why not?
Have you ever met any sourcemates outside of your system?
What's a quote or lyric that reminds you of yourself?
Is your source popular?
Who's your best friend in-sys? Would your sources be friends, do you think?
Do you miss anyone from your source?
What do you look like in the head? How does that compare to your source? The body?
What's your favorite song?
Do you like talking about your past?
What's your biggest fear? Is it related to your source?

Nerd and Jock?
Ooh! Something new! Guess we're branching out now, huh?
---------------------------------------------------
Card and Nep
Neptune: You know, Cardin, sometimes I wish I was as strong as you, (Yanks toxic mushroom away from Cardin) so I wouldn't have to only rely on my wits.
Cardin: Well, sometimes I wish I was as smart as you, (Lifts massive log out of the way) since physical strength can only get you so far.
Neptune: It's a good thing we hang out together. We get the best of both worlds.
Cardin: Indeed!
---------------------------------------------------
Cardin: Sometimes, I feel like I have too much doubt holding me back. I mean, if you don't believe in yourself, who will?
Neptune: I believe in you.
Cardin: Haha! Then I have nothing to fear!
---------------------------------------------------
Neptune: Cardin, what are you doing?
Cardin: (Diggin' a hole) Diggin' a hole.
Neptune: Of all the things you could do in the forest, and you choose to dig a hole?
Cardin: Holes are cool!
Neptune: (Jumps down, Digs in the hole)
---------------------------------------------------
Ruby: Hey, Cardin, I have a present for you. (Hands over a very spicy picture of herself) It's to inspire you~.
Cardin: W-Wow! Thanks, Ruby. (Sets down on table) I'll put it right next to this inspiring portrait Neptune made of himself.
---------------------------------------------------
Cardin: Hm, this truffles looks good.
Neptune: (Disguised) Aren't you allergic to mushrooms?
Cardin: (Doesn't recognize Neptune) Uh, yeah, but how did you know that?
Neptune: Uh... I can read minds!
Cardin: Oh, yeah? What am I thinking about right now?
Neptune: Um... Dinosaurs, but they're fighter pilots?
Cardin: ...Oh, you're good. He's good!
Ruby: That's what you're thinking about on our date?
---------------------------------------------------
Ruby: (Happily walking with Cardin)
Cardin: (Thinking) I've never seen her like this. It's like she's an entirely new person!
Neon: (Bumps into Cardin) Sorry!
Ruby: (Grabs Neon's tail) TOUCH HIM AGAIN AND I'LL GUT YOU.
Neon: (Skates away) Yikes!
Cardin: Well, maybe not that new.
---------------------------------------------------
Neptune: Yikes! What happened to you?!
Cardin: I have been on an epic journey. I've traveled far, far beyond the borders of Beacon, braved the unforgiving wilderness, until I found exactly what I was looking for.
Neptune: And what exactly did you find?
Cardin: THIS! (Holds out a stick with a leaf) The coolest stick ever!
Neptune: You went through all that trouble for a stick?
Cardin: Well, duh! Look at it!
Neptune: ...Yeah, okay, that is a pretty cool stick.
Cardin: I told you!
---------------------------------------------------
Cardin: Ruby... You look amazing!
Ruby: Aw, thank you, Cardin! It took a lot of lamb sacrifices and dark magic to get this look.
Neptune: Um...
Ruby: (Giggles) I'm just kidding! I love animals!
Cardin: Phew! For a second there, I thought-
Ruby: I only use human sacrifices!
---------------------------------------------------
Ruby: Hey, Cardin?
Cardin: Hm?
Ruby: Why are you and Neptune such good friends?
Cardin: Well, it's not that complicated. It's just great to know there's someone who will always have your back and look out for you, no matter what.
Ruby: Interesting. (Scribbles in her notebook) I'll have to add this to my Cardin x Neptune fan fic!
Cardin: I thought you didn't like Neptune?
Ruby: Oh, Cardin. Fanfiction is so much more complicated than you think.
Neptune: (Looks over at them, Thinking) Looks like all's well that ends well, and I feel like Ruby is more of a friend than before. Sometimes Cardin can be clueless, though. Still, I can't help but wonder... How does it feel to have someone crush on you like that?
MEANWHILE, IN ANOTHER PLANE OF EXISTENCE...
Esdeath: (Ogling her photos of Neptune) Some day, my beloved Neptune, you will be mine and only mine~!

a year in the books - 8/9/22
It always just amazes me how much can change from the previous time I write here. I have definitely neglected this space for quite some time (longer than usual) as its been almost a YEAR! It’s always so insane to see how much has changed and where i am now from where i was in the last post. I truly don’t even know where to begin, but I guess i will just state the fact that tomorrow is my one year anniversary of living in NYC.... HOWWW?! So much has happened over the past year. New friendships, self growth, hurt, feeling lost, finding myself, you name it its happened. Its crazy to read my last post and see how un settled this city made me feel. I can now leave my apartment and get just about anywhere by memory. I have so much to say and update on so I guess we shall start with a big part of my last post. D.
Wowow i don’t know what to say but girlllll you were just getting started with this heartbreak. To say being in a toxic relationship is difficult is just an understatement. Its definitely been one of the biggest struggles from the past year. I have been hurt countless times, but yet i still find myself stuck in the same place. From where I was a year ago, I’ve been back and forth and pulled in every direct. From a genuine relationship to a hook up to a toxic friendship to friends to enemies and back, we still gravitate towards one another. Our relationship makes zero sense to me, but id like to think my mental state of the relationship has begun to take positive steps out of the toxicity. It’s hard to say what the future looks like but all I can hope is that I find a way through this muddy path. I know I am capable and I hope to continue to work on finding my way out... I guess thats all I can really say.
other than THAT! lol so so so much good has happened. Sometime after this post I pushed myself out of my comfortzone to make nyc MY city with MY friends. It took some trial and error, but through a literal friend dating app I found my best friends who I now could not imagine life without. Were literally going on our second trip together this weekend like thats how freaking amazing they are. They make NYC home and I couldnt be more grateful. Not only do I have them, but ive been able to connect with people who I barely knew im college, I have molly and her friends and I even had brooke (who unfortunately just moved back to LA) for so much of the past year. Once i got out of my comfort zone this city really openned up to me. My friends here are the reason I love new york as much as I do and for that I am forever grateful.
Not only have my relationships changed, but MY JOB changed. This I never thought I’d be saying a year ago, mostly because I thought my job was going to be the coolest thing ever. It was at first, dont get my wrong, but once things set into place i realized the scam that is reality TV lol. I am now at a new job that has been one of the most challenging ones yet. Hold onto your seat bc you wont believe this... I AM SO BUSY. I thought i was cursed w boring jobs hahah but not the case anymore!! I really really struggled the first few weeks, but id like to think im getting the hang of it now. Its still in influener marketing which I enjoy, but now i do everything from sourcing talent to contracting to runnning a full campaign. I hope to stay in this role for a bit and grow at the company because it definitely seems like there is a ton of room for it. Im excited to see what the future holds w this career path.
Another big thing is I started therapy this year! It is something ive always been so scared to do, but something i really needed. I am so good at venting to an online portal, but actually seeking a mental health outlet has been so good for me. Sometimes i doubt my progress, but ive been able to open up a lot more and id like to think its made me more overall healthy.
I feel like thats a pretty lengthy update on the life status for now, but i hope to come back soon w even more life wins and not go so long without writing here! I am so so excited to see what the future holds, how my nyc life will progress, and what new challenges will come my way to make me even stronger.
xx,
C

Extended Greetings
It’s only been a couple hours since MK has met Xiaoli, and he can already say that he was already one of his bestest friends already. MK has never met someone like the pretty man before. Xiaoli was just someone who seemed to be out there from everyone on his own sort of level than anyone MK has met. He was plenty of fun to be around!
“And that’s the story of how a simple flower pot caused a 3 hour traffic jam,” finishes up Xiaoli, sharing one of his many stories about odd events caused by mundane things. MK has never been more entertained hearing them.
He laughs, “Seriously? Man and I thought I had bad luck before, three hour traffic jam, no thank you!”
Xiaoli gives a hum, “personally I think it was worth waiting, otherwise I wouldn’t have such an interesting tale to share.” He looks up ahead to see a girl waving. He points to her as he looks over at the shorter boy, “MK, it seems like someone is waving at you.”
MK looks over to see who Xiaoli was pointing to a large smile forming on his face, “Mei!” he jogs over to her. Xiaoli steadily follows him right after, keeping a fair distance from the girl but still close to MK.
“MK, what took you so long dude? We’ve been waiting forever for you to come,” Mei jests. She then takes notice of MK’s companion right behind him, “And who is this now? A new edgy friend?”
“Oh, this is Xiaoli! Xiaoli, this is Mei,” MK introduces his newest friend to his best friend. Xiaoli’s eyes glint and his smile widens, giving the girl a simple wave. “Greetings, I hope we can become friends!”
Mei grins, “Sure! And as your newest and coolest friend I shall bring you the wonders of Pigsy’s noodles,” and that she goes off to where Xiaoli can only assume she would either get said noodles or get Pigsy to make them. Either way it ends with noodles.
“Lively one, isn’t she,” says Xiaoli with a smile. MK nods, “Yeah, she wouldn’t be Mei if she wasn’t!” MK then goes in the same direction Mei went, “c’mon I want to introduce you to everyone!”
“Oh, you introduce me to everyone? What an honor,” chuckles Xiaoli, MK rubbing the back of his neck all bashful like but giving in his own laugh with Xiaoli.
Xiaoli, who was still behind him, then goes up close to the side of his face, “I won’t deny that I don’t appreciate it though,” he gives a smirk seeing MK’s face go slightly red at the sudden closeness. “I-is that so, well glad to hear that!” MK says with as much of made up macho he can bring out of himself, though Xiaoli can easily see through it. “If you say so~,” says the pink-haired boy, tongue wetting the top of his lip offhandedly.
pop
Xiaoli pops his lips, striding ahead of MK to where Pigsy’s restaurant was, “try not to fall behind now, or else they’ll think you decided to dip out!”
MK snaps out of his stupor, giving a laugh as he goes after Xiaoli, “Hey wait up!”
Reaching the restaurant resulted in a bit of yelling by Pigsy at MK as soon as he walked into it.
“MK where have you been?!” Huffs out Pigsy angrily, MK sweats nervously at his boss’s confrontation. “U-uh well you see–“ he begins, before Xiaoli’s arm comes in front of him. He looks at the pink haired man in slight confusion, Xiaoli mouthing the words “leave this to me” to him before looking at Pigsy.
“Sorry, sorry,” he begins, a smile on his face, “please don’t get upset at him, I was the reason why he was late and dragged him far behind because of that. I hope you can forgive him for something I caused now, right?”
MK can only hold his breath as he watches Pigsy seem to contemplate the excuse given by Xiaoli. Glancing over to look at his newest friend, he was surprised to see him without a look of worry or even a sweat of doubt on his face. He was perfectly calm and collected, with that smile he gave to Pigsy still not even moving an inch and never faltering one bit.
Xiaoli notices him staring, tilting his head a bit, making MK quickly look away with a slight blush for staring maybe a bit too long. Xiaoli only chuckles at his reaction, the two look back at Pigsy as they hear him give a sigh, “fine, I’ll let you off this time but this time only.”
MK jaw drops, watching Pigsy walk away muttering about “having to prepare one bowl extra”. He looks over to Xiaoli who just looks at him with his smile.
“Like I said, leave this to me.”
With a grasp of his arm, MK lets himself be pulled over by Xiaoli to sit at a table where the rest of his friends were. Xiaoli sits down and then gives a single pat right next to him, inviting MK to sit there. MK sits down and smiles at Xiaoli, turning to look at the others.
“Hey guys, this is Xiaoli! Xiaoli, this is Tang, Sandy and you already met Mei of course!”
Xiaoli gives a nod to each, “Hello friends! I hope we will know each other well!”
“Here you go,” Pigsy slides over five bowls of noodles across the table, Xiaoli gives the chef a light clap at the display. Grabbing a pair of chopsticks, he begins to slurp his bowl of noodles, sucking his lips in at the end of his noodle strand before then popping them out.
pop
MK looks over to him when he hears the lip pop again from his friend, tilting his head slightly at the action. Xiaoli notices him staring once more and smirks this time, “you wanna ask about my lip pop habit don’t you?”
MK quickly blushed in embarrassment at the question, “w-what? Nooo!” His stutter didn’t help him one bit, instead making the other three look at him with cheeky looks. Especially Mei and Tang. The cheeky looks only grow the more he tries to ignore them, until he admits defeat “okay, uh, maybe a little…?”
Xiaoli just chuckles, “No worries friend, it’s just a small habit I had ever since I could remember! I had it for so long that I don’t even remember how long exactly I had it for,” he slurps up some more noodles, MK nodding to the answer he was given in understanding.
Mei then perks up from her seat, body leaning across the table, face to literal face with Xiaoli. “Hey how did you manage to meet MK, I thought everyone evacuated the city?” Xiaoli just smiles, “Well I never actually left the city, I was still around to see not only Demon Bull King causing havoc but the fight MK here had with him.” Xiaoli looks over to said boy, “Which might I say was a wonderful display of power, friend!”
MK just shrinks away from the praise given by his pretty pink haired friend, “Aw, it’s nothing–! But it was pretty sick, am I right?” Xiaoli just chuckles, “Very.”
Tang hums in agreement, “Indeed it was MK,” Sandy and Mei very enthusiastically shared their own agreements with the statement of “it being the coolest thing ever!” as MK is just getting more and more bashful with the praises.
MK and Xiaoli stand outside after finishing up their noodles, nightfall already having befallen sometime ago. “Are you sure you don’t need someone to walk you back home? N-not that I’m saying you can’t go by yourself of course, it’s just after everything that happened today with DBK and him just kinda just destroy the city there could still be more dangers around and–“
“Shhhhhhhhhhhhhh~” MK stops his tangent as he immediately looks at Xiaoli, finger pressed on his lips as it then travels to MK’s. MK blush a bit at the contact, Xiaoli just chuckles at his reaction, “you worry too much, friend! No need to fret about me, I have everything handled you know?” Pulling away his finger, MK nods, “o-oh alright then.”
MK then rubs his arm nervously, “hey if you have time tomorrow maybe we can hang again? Only if you want to of course!”
Xiaoli gives a hum, eyes close in consideration of the offer, MK Can feel his nerves building up by the second. Opening his one eye, Xiaoli decides to give some mercy on the other after some seconds of silence, “I would love to, where shall we meet again?” He grins as MK practically bounces on his feet.
“Oh, uh, it’s at Sandy’s boat! Wait you don’t know where that is, um, crap… Wait I can text you the directions oh wait I just realize that I don’t have your phone number! Xiaoli can I have your phone number, wait that sounds weird I’m so sorry–!”
Xiaoli just laughs, “It’s alright friend, I actually have a good idea where it would be, I have a hobby of going around the city very often!” Walking off, he gives a wave to the monkey boy, “see you tomorrow, MK!”
“Oh that’s great! Ah, see you tomorrow!”
MK would come to realize later that night he never told Xiaoli where Pigsy’s restaurant was, not once at all. Perhaps he saw it around? It wouldn’t surprise him if he did, especially since it’s his hobby and perhaps just never had the interest of entering it before. But the thought just didn’t seem to want to leave his head just yet. That doesn’t really matter now to him, because today he made a friend unlike anyone he has met before, and he is going to see him again tomorrow.
This friendship would be something MK will never forget.

Bone Crushing
Dean Winchester x Reader
Warnings: spn level gore, cursing, Dean being whipped by muscles- you know how it is.
Summary: Sometimes Dean forgets just how strong his best friend is. . . And it may or may not be one of the small factors playing into his crush on you.
A/N: this is me just channeling how I too become whipped by strong women. Please enjoy. The screenshot I based this fic off is at the bottom btw!
This was bad.
This was a huge no no.
It’s a universal truth that you are not supposed to go and catch feelings for your best friend, it’s that simple. You don’t take a joint from a guy named Don, there are no dogs in the car, and you do not develop a dumb crush on your best friend.
What was so hard about following those rules? Specifically the last one?
the answer was easy. You just had to go and be one of the coolest people Dean had ever met didn’t you? You with your dumb jokes and wacky sense of humor, and your kindness and compassion. . . And your dumb muscles.
He felt like a friggin teenage girl that was stunned by some tall hunk. Your muscles weren’t massive by any means but they fit your body well, especially after years of hunting. You were strong as all get out. He had seen you take down demons twice your size and lift up heavy objects with ease.
Dude was almost jealous of your strength if he was gonna be honest.
The moments that really get him though are when you're doing the damn simplest of tasks, like that one morning in the bunker when he watched you open a particularly tight jar in a tank top and your biceps just. . . And then there was that one time up at Jodys place during the Fourth of July when Claire dared you to try and crush a watermelon with your thighs, and that was just an experience within itself. And then there were your hugs, and how you always gave the best ones, sometimes squeezing the air from his lungs. Add that to all the times Dean had let himself be beat by you in sparring and it all equaled one thing:
The man was whipped. and he would be lying if he hadn't thought Please crush me with your biceps more than once.
But you and your muscles were probably the last thing on Deans mind at the moment. . . Seeing as he had been knocked out and chained up by a couple of werewolves in what looked to be a massive storage unit, the massive metal cuffs around his wrists were chained to a bolt in the ceiling, forcing the hunter to stand.
He didn’t know how long he had been out, but when he woke his body jolted, the metal chains rattling slightly as he did. It was dark, the only source of light seeping underneath the heavy duty corrugated door, the type that clearly needed a remote or something to open with how massive the damn thing was.
He had gone out to get food. That was it. He had left you and Sam back at the motel, nose deep in research, saying he would be back in twenty. It had clearly been more than twenty by now. . .but who knew if either of you had realized how long he had been gone.
Yanking on the chains, he turned his gaze upward towards the bolt, squinting in the dark in an attempt to see better, not that it did much good. How he was gonna get out of here, he didn’t have a clue.
God, if he managed to get out of here intact, you were gonna make fun of him for this for years to come. The great Dean Winchester, bested by a couple of werewolves.
Dean spent the next half hour continually pulling on the damn chains, but it was no use. They were bolted in place, the rattling links being his only companion in the dark space. The wolves had yet to come back, no doubt planning all the brilliant ways they could off him, because if you manage to capture a Winchester is something you’re gonna wanna revel in.
Eventually he gave up, instead counting the minutes so he had something to do.
Five minutes.
Ten minutes.
He was about to hit the fifteen minute mark on his counting when he heard it. A round of gunshots echoing somewhere in the near distance, accompanied by a series of shouts.
Dean watched as a shadow quickly passed by the door and he let out a yell, doing his best to make sure whoever it was heard him through the steel door. A second passed and then the shadow backtracked.
“Dean?”
“Y/N? Oh thank god.”
“I’ll get you out of there, just a sec-“
“Doors pretty damn heavy, I think you need a remote or something to ope—“ Dean was cut off as the wheels squealed in their tracks as you pulled up the door, fingers curling around the bottom as you did. Once open far enough, you ducked and rolled into the room, the metal door slamming against the floor behind you.
“H-how-“
“What?” Groping the walls for a light switch, you finally flicked one, the room lighting up all at once. You spun around, sending him a smile. “There you are.”
“Mmhmmm-“ Dean hummed, doing his best he to not hint at the sudden squeaky high pitched noise that left his throat.. “What the hell took you so long?”
“Well-“ taking a deep breath you squatted down, pulling off your backpack to rifle through it. “Mr. I’ll leave my phone back at the motel. I put a small tracker in your wallet.”
“Oh creepy. You do that to all your friends?”
Popping back up with your lock picking tools you got to work on the massive ones locking his shackles together. “Only the idiot ones that I’m afraid might get themselves captured.”
“Oh how nice of you.”
“I know right?”
A minute later the shackles loosened and slid off his wrists, the hunter stretching as you stepped back and slid the kit back into your pack, slinging it back over your shoulders and cinching the straps.
“You good to go?”
“Yep-“ Dean started, taking a step forward, only to wince as a sharp pain went up his leg, his arm reaching out to brace himself on the wall as he inhaled. So he twisted his ankle, no big deal. He didn't need to make you worry.
Just act fine, Dean, Just act fine.
You were too busy wrestling the massive door back open to notice, your back holding it up as you looked back over. “Dean?”
“I’m fine, all good here-“
Being as subtle as he could, he ducked under the door, you popping up to him a second later as it slammed shut again. “Alright, well then let’s hit the road.”
This time unfortunately you noticed Deans limp as the two of you began to move down the hallway of storage units, the hunter doing a poor job at masking his pain. You stopped quickly in your tracks as your hand went out to grab his arm.
“Dean! I thought you said you were fine?!”
“I am.” He brushed you off, taking another step forward, wincing as his foot hit the floor. “Where’s Sam? Is he okay?”
“Sam’s fine, you big dummy. He took out the wolves-“ rushing forward, you looped Deans arm around your shoulder, supporting his weight, this time the hunter choosing not to protest and just give in. “Now what happened?”
“Probably just twisted my ankle or something when they jumped me. It’s fine.”
And then before he could even register what exactly you were doing, you were quite literally scooping the man up into your arms, carrying him down the remainder of the hallway and out into the brisk night air.
“What are you doing?!”
“Carrying you, what does it look like?”
“Yeah, but why?!”
“Because I can. And because you fucked up your ankle.” You responded, eyes finding Sam leaning against the impala. The younger Winchester raised an eyebrow before Dean sent him a silent middle finger, eyes daring him to bring up what was happening.
“What uh- what happened?” Sam cleared his throat, swinging open the passenger side door so you could slide Dean in.
“Your brother stubbed his toe.”
“Hey, I rolled my ankle!”
“Sure, Jan.” You grinned, sending him a quick wink. The hunter suddenly praying you couldn’t see the pink hue creeping across his face in the dimly lit parking lot.
Sam quickly chose to be the new driver, you sliding into the back as he started the engine and pulled out of the lot.
The drive home was quiet apart from the soft hum of the radio turned down low. You were in the back stitching up a gash you had gotten earlier, Sam had his eyes on the road, and Dean? Dean was trying not to think about the fact that he had a huge fucking crush on you and the fact that you had quiet literally swept him off his feet.
And it was like that all the way home and even when he sunk into one of the many vacant chairs in the library, you excusing yourself so you could go grab a brace for Deans ankle, (Even though he kept insisting he didn’t need one.)
The second you were out of earshot though Sam was turning to his brother, an amused look on his face. Dean frowned, knowing where he was going with this.
“Shut up.”
“I didn’t say anything. . . But you having a crush on Y/N is pretty amusing.”
“I don’t not!”
“. . . But you so do.”
“Okay-“ Dean slowly pushed up from his seat, setting down the glass of whiskey you had poured him. “Just because I think about holding her hand and kissing her. . .or whatever, does not mean I have a crush on her.”
Sam’s face slightly pulled up in further amusement, Deans death glare just making the whole thing funnier. “Wow, you are so much dumber than I originally thought, holy shit.”
“Okay, you know what? Your gonna do that thing where you shut up forever, okay? Okay, cool.” Grabbing his jacket off the back of the chair, the older Winchester headed for the hallway, half limping as he did.
And then he turned the corner. . . And froze.
You were standing in the middle of the hallway, your box of braces tucked under your arm, eyebrows raised.
“H-HEy! Didn’t see you there!” His attempt at acting smooth and calm sailing out the window as he talked, giving you an awkward smile.
“Oh, I know you didn’t.”
“H-how- how much did you hear just now? Just curious.”
You took a several steps closer, lightly shrugging. “Not much. Other than the fact that you have a big ol crush on me.”
“W-whaaaaaattttt? No!” Dean shook his head, bumping into the wall as he backed up. “No! I don’t- I don’t have a crush on you!”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. He could feel his cheeks heating up again. Damn it.
You dropped the box on the floor, stepping over it slowly as you continued to walk closer. “Are you sure about that? Because your rosy red cheeks are tellin me another story.”
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Think about something else. Look at something else- No! Not her arms you idiot, that’s just gonna-
Your chest was practically touching Deans now as you stood toe to toe with him, the wall cool against his back as he looked into your eyes.
“You want me to stop?”
“S-stop what?” Dean stuttered, his breath coming out slightly shaky as he did.
Oh my god, why were you so pretty and badass and cool and strong and-
And then you were bending your knees slightly, hooking your arms around Deans thighs and picking him up, successfully pinning him to the damn wall, his arm flying out to brace himself as the sudden action took him by surprise. The hunter letting out a light yell.
“This.”
Oh god. Oh god. Oh god.
“N-no.”
And then your lips were on Deans and he was suddenly taken back by how gentle you are because he knew how much strength your body held and the feeling of your lips on his was so gentle it was just. . . So surprising.
And so damn nice.
Dean hardly had a moment to react before you pressed your tongue to the seam of his lips and, at his grant of access, delved inside his mouth.
Oh this was so much better than could have thought. So so much better. And he didn’t even give a single damn that you were the one pinning him to the damn wall. If anything he liked it. . . A lot.
As the two of you deepened the kiss the only thing that went running through Deans mind was that he was completely unprepared. You would think that after all the hours he’d spent with you- watching you talk, laugh and frown - that he would know all there was to know about your lips. But he hadn't imagined how warm they would feel pressed up against his own.
“Seriously guys?! I mean, not that I’m not thrilled or anything but in the hallway?! C’mon!” Sam’s voice breaking you apart slightly as you looked over your shoulder, Dean flipping him off once again as Sam grimaced and walked down a separate hallway. The younger Winchester shaking his head as he went.
When you looked back around, eyes finding Deans yet again, arms still holding him up he felt the awkwardness return.
“Y-your uh- you’re really strong.”
“Oh why thank you.” You smiled, leaning forward to place a soft kiss on his cheek. “And if you couldn’t tell by now, I got a big ol crush on you too.”

Passion (Tamaki x Female Reader Lemon)
Includes: Oral sex
Y/N is pretty much like Kirishima but a girl. She does not have a known quirk, and is enrolled in general studies at U.A. as a senior. Y/N has a quirk gives others confidence when she's excited. No one knows because it's not a very obvious quirk.
"Amajiki-Senpai! There you are!" You ran into your boyfriend's open arms. After every day of school, the two of you always met on the school roof. No one else ever came up here. It was a special place for just you and him to go.
Today had been a long day. He embraced you back with a smile. "Sunshine, I told you that you can just call me Tamaki. Everyone else does." His smile was so cute and fragile. You chuckled. "But everyone else calls you that. I want to be special to you. By letting them call you by your first name, you let them walk all over you. Be a man! Show some backbone!"
"I-I'm sorry!" He backed away from you and went to put his head against the wall. Before he could, you took his head and rested it against your chest. He always seemed much calmer after you hugged him against you. He leaned into you.
You learned certain words triggered his anxiety. You had gotten much better at thinking before you say anything, but sometimes things just come out. "I didn't mean it in a mean way, I just want people to respect you! You're the coolest hero in training that I know. I just want others to see that too. I want you to see that. How cool you are. How great you are."
Tamaki took in a shuddering breath. His arms wrapped around you. He trembled. You expected him to let go, but he did not. His fingers traced your body. "How did I get a girl like you? I'm a nobody!" "Don't be silly! I'm so happy to have you as my boyfriend. Just seeing your smile melts all my sadness and worries away." "That... you have such a positive attitude. So happy. So supportive. Of me. That... turns me on." He tugged sharply on your tie, causing you to fall down onto him. "Amajiki-Senpai?!" He never acted like this before. Sure, the two of you had done some foreplay before, but he was always so submissive. He slowly undid your buttons from top to bottom of your uniform. You let the uniform fall off, revealing your nearly see-through white button up. "Are you sure this is what you want? I mean, this doesn't seem very like you to-" He put his hand under your shirt and undid your bra. Gently, he massaged your breasts. "Tama~" you moaned. "Tama? I like that. It suits me. Just by existing, you make me feel so good. I need to make you feel good." He took your shirt all the way off, and placed his head in between your breasts, "So soft. I always wanted to do this. I wonder why all of a sudden I have so much courage. It's you, probably." He started licking at one of your buds. You let out a whimper. He gently bit one nipple and squeezed the other with his thumb and pointer finger. You let out some lewd sounds. He pressed his hips against you. You gasped as you felt his erect member against your womanhood, even through your clothes. You did not think Tamaki Amajiki could feel that way. "It's definitely you, Sunshine." He sucked on your neck, making deep hickies.
As good as it felt, you pushed him away. "Stop it. Just stop. What are you doing? This isn't like you! Who are you?" This could not possibly be your Amajiki. Maybe it was another one of the hero students with a transformation quirk playing a prank or something. You covered your chest by crossing your arms. He took a step away from you. "W-what do you mean? I thought y-you liked it!" You could see the anxiety settling in again on his face. How could he act like that and then this? It did not make sense. "If you really are my boyfriend, tell me about our first date." No one else knew about that.
"W-well, in the cafeteria, I- I um... I accidentally spilled ketchup on you and I felt really bad to have messed up your pretty uniform so I apologized for it excessively and got some napkins and wiped it off of you and then everyone was staring at us it was so scary and I didn't know why and then I realized that it was probably because I was wiping it off of your chest area and then I panicked really badly..." Just remembering that time made him start trembling. "Skip that part. Go to that happy parts." He shook his head. "Even the scary parts worked out. I put my head on your chest because I didn't know what else to do and you... you didn't pull away from me and I knew you were the one for me... you were so kind. And then you invited me to the park and we skipped the rest of school which was also scary. But it turned out to be one of the best days in my life. You ... you gave me a... a..." he gulped, unable to continue. "A blowjob? I remember that. Your moans were so loud and we were in public. Luckily, no one else was there."
You slowly unzipped his pants while staring into his eyes. He broke eye contact with you. "I'm so sorry for doubting you. Amajiki-Senpai." You took his pants and boxers off. "N-no, I guess I- I was acting odd." "That's not a good enough excuse. You were so happy, I could tell. You never got into the moment like that before. And I messed that up." You started running your fingers against his dick. "N-no i-it's f-fine I should be apologizing to yo-you and..." you made the rest of his words unable to be understood by sticking his tip in your mouth and swirling your tongue around it. He let out a loud huff. He was back to his old self. What had happened to that passionate friend you were with earlier? You had an idea. With only two fingers, you rubbed him. "Y/N. Sunshine. Please. Why'd you stop? You know I want it." You switched to only one finger. His face turned into a frown. "What are you going to do about it, Amajiki-Senpai? Don't let me get away with this. I believe in you." You took the last finger off of him. He whined in protest at the sudden lack of stimulus.
A moment passed. Gently, he took your head and pressed your mouth against himself. You slowly took him in. He moaned as you went deeper onto him. "Sunshine, why are you doing this? Do something. You're acting like... like... like I usually would. Just a doll, doing nothing." A rhetorical question, obviously. Your mouth was full. You moved your tongue up and down him. He groaned in pleasure, and pressed your face harder onto his cock. Tears trailed down your face. You could feel him twitching under you, likely almost ready to cum. He grabbed your shoulders, his nails digging into your skin. "Sunshine... I- you know... I'm about to... to... to cum!" He released down into your throat. You swallowed it as he did. He let you go, and you gasped for air. "I-I'm sorry. Was I too... too-" before he could finish his dumb apology for nothing you covered his lips with yours in a deep kiss. He kissed back. He slowly pushed you down onto the floor with him on top of you. "You don't need to apologize for anything. I love you. You're my favorite person in the whole world." You laughed.
He hummed back at you with a smile on his face. He gently took off the rest of your clothes, exposing everything to him. "Right now, somehow you make me feel strong. Not insecure little Tamaki. I feel more... more like Suneater..." He placed his lips against your ear and growled. "...my Sunshine." You felt a moist sensation and blushed, crossing your legs to hide your wetness. "No, no, my Sunshine. I'm going to eat you up~" He pried your legs open despite your giant blush. He gently pushed your folds aside and licked up and down your clit. "Tama~" "You like that? I always wanted to taste you." You blushed furiously, and unable to stand his unwavering gaze piercing your eyes. You looked up at the sky. He nipped around the area a bit and sucked it a few times before putting his tongue in, which caused you to moan. He pushed his tongue in and out, nipping at your pink area.
(Ok so now the rest is hentai ngl 👉🥵👈 you can stop here if you do not want to read it)
Slowly, the sensation changed. His tongue got longer and harder. It felt oddly bumpy. "Amajiki-Senpai! Is that wha-what I think it is?!" You stuttered. You looked down at him devouring you, and gulped. "Like what you see?" His tongue had transformed into a tentacle. He pushed the appendage into you slowly. You gasped. "Wha-" "You can take it, Sunshine. I know you can." You could feel tears coming from your eyes. "W-why are you doing this? You're acting so odd! I mean, I'm not against it, but it's just weird! What the hell has come over you?" His tongue slowly uncurled inside of you. "I don't know, my Sunshine." You were caught in bliss, and he made you scream. "No, we can't have that. What if someone found us out?" He took one hand and made each finger into a separate tentacle. He put one into your mouth to shut you up and another snaked into your ass. You could hardly even think. It was like getting fucked by three different people. He filled you up with his fingers and tongue. "Mirio said girls like this sort of thing. He has more experience with it than me, so I guess I'll just have to trust him." Of course. This was Mirio's idea. The stimulation was too much. You felt a knot grow in your stomach. Your breathing went harder, and you came. Tamaki turned back into normal Tamaki, and sucked it up with his normal, human tongue.
The two of you just stood there, panting hard. You put your clothes on and leaned on Tamaki, and the two of you fell asleep on the roof.

Survey #433
“i really wish that you could help, but my head is like a carousel: i’m going ‘round in circles”
Would you rather visit Rome or Spain? Rome. Do you really care what’s going on in celebrities' lives? Depends on the person. If I have a big interest in them, like Mark, then yes, because I care about that person and want to know they're well. Have you ever broke a plate/bowl? Accidentally. Has anyone ever drunk called/texted you? I don't think so. Can you do a backwards London bridges? Hell no, I'd bust my ass and spine. Are any of your pets “overweight”? Why the quotations? But anyway, no. Has anyone ever bought you a ring? Yeah. What has been the most traumatic experience of your life? Does it still bother you? The breakup with my first real bf. And well yeah, it resulted in PTSD. It sounds so overdramatic, I know, but I'm not even remotely exaggerating. Live a day in my head and tell me it's not actual trauma. If you knew you had the right person, would you marry them today? God no, not right now. I am not in a position to be married right now. Think back to your most important relationship, was it all your fault it’s over? My damaged side wants to say yes, but I know to be realistic, we both failed in unique areas. He didn't communicate, and I just put too much weight on him. What was your first alcoholic drink? A Mike's Hard Lemonade. What were the first lessons you ever took? Ummm I want to say choir? Did you ever go to a mental hospital? Multiple times. Do you believe that weed should be legalized? Yes. Have you ever had a significant other with a mental disorder? Yes. If you could transform into something, what would that something be? Uhhh idk. Maybe a cat? Out of 10, (10 being really shy) how shy are you? Oh, easily a 10. When was the first moment you discovered love? I actually don't really know the moment I realized I was in love w/ Jason. It was a gradual thing, so no one occasion stands out. What’s the best mistake you’ve ever made? Well, I suppose accepting Jason's Facebook friend request because I thought he was a different Jason. I can't think of many good mistakes I've made... Even the one I mentioned, it's debatable how good that one was. I really do wonder how different my life would be if I declined it. What do you think of frogs? I love frogs! They're so cute and derpy. :') Who did you last worry about and why? My cat, because he was apparently hiding somewhere and Mom couldn't find him. Who did you last feel sorry for and why? Sara, because of health stuff she's dealing with. Is there a name that you can’t stand but it’s the name of a loved one? It sucks, I feel like this burning in my stomach a lot of the time when I hear "Ashley" because that was Jason's girlfriend after me. But I have a sister with the same name. Are you currently looking for a new place to live? I'm not, and I don't think Mom actively is, though we both want to move. When did you last make up a baby’s bottle? I don't think I ever have. Well... maybe once? idr Do you believe there’s a devil? No. Have you ever felt an earthquake? No. Have you ever been on an island? Yes, actually. Did you watch the last presidential inauguration? I've never watched one. Have you ever been a fan of The Killers? I don't consider myself a true "fan," no. I only like two songs that I know. Do you have your own lighter (why or why not)? No, because I don't need one? Do you believe in miracles (why or why not)? No. I just don't. Everything has the have a cause and reason. How often do you sleep naked? Never. Are you looking forward to your prom? If you already went, how was it? I went twice, and it was fun. I especially loved having the pictures taken that I regret wiping from the face of the earth. Prom itself was pretty bland each time, like you can't hear shit and they just play awful music, but still. I was a teenager with a very fairytale outlook on love and wanted to just feel like I was in one I guess. Do you prefer Quizno's or Subway and why? I don't think I've ever tried Quizno's, actually. What’s one of your best memories from during a rain storm? I don't know. Why did you need your most recent x-ray and what were the results? It was to see if I broke my foot, I think? If that's the one, then no. I also had my legs x-rayed at some point to see if they could find any damage there because of my extreme weakness in them, but there wasn't. Do people more often mistake you as being younger or older than you are? I actually don't know. Have you ever made out with someone you weren’t dating? No. Do you know anybody who was abused? Yes. Have you ever touched an elephant? No. How many siblings do you have? I have five I "count," but I do have another half-sister on my dad's side that I don't know. I want to, but yeah... it just hasn't happened. Do you get bored of your girlfriend/boyfriend easily? I've never gotten bored of any s/o I've had. Who do you want for president? I voted for Biden. Do you think abortions are horrible? No. Forcing someone to undergo what can easily be considered a traumatic experience is horrible. Do you enjoy drama? Ugh, no. Have you ever had a guinea pig for a pet? I've had a few. Were you/are you popular in school? No. I was very much under the radar and mostly stuck to myself and a small group of friends. What brand clothing do you wear the most? No clue. Have you ever studied any new age or occult religions such as Wicca? Yes, actually, when I was leaning towards Neo-Paganism. I did research into some of its branches, such as Wicca. Are you a wrestling fan? Not at all. I honestly think it's dumb. What’s the longest movie you’ve ever watched? I want to say Troy? It never felt THAT long to me though because I love it. Have you ever been on a subway? No. Do you think spending a ridiculously large amount of money on one designer item is stupid? It sure as hell isn't for me; I lean towards people can spend their hard-earned money on whatever they want, BUT I do feel that they could still spend their money on more important things. Do you find baths relaxing? No, they gross me out. Do you have any hats? I probably still have the hat Dad got me at a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game somewhere, but idk where. Has any part of your house ever been flooded? Not on the interior, no. Have you ever been interested in learning about murderers or murder cases? Not especially. Is there anyone that you’re worried about right now? Who and why? I'm just about praying Sara's new med for her POTS helps. I think me worrying how Jason is doing after his mother's death is gonna be a permanent fixture in the back of my head... If you won a lot of money, would you donate any of it? To what organization would you donate it? Oh, absolutely. I'd have to do some research first, but the Trevor Project comes to mind immediately, as well as ones that protect wildlife, help the mentally ill, fight cancer... Are you a competitive person? What are you most competitive about? Not really, no. I have my areas where I'm more likely to feel it than others, but it's generally mild. I'm not too sure what I'm most competitive about, but maybe outdoing other hunters in WoW since that's my main class that I've played religiously for years. Have you ever adopted a stray animal? Yes. What do you appreciate most about your parent(s)? The fact they somehow still support me even though I'm like... this. I feel like I should've exhausted their faith by now. Do you believe America should legalize drugs? If you think they should legalize only some drugs, which drugs do you think they should legalize? I only support the legalization of weed. What is your biggest turn-off of a person (besides physically)? Arrogance, probably. Or being aggressive/explosive. What song cover do you like better than the original? "Sound of Silence" by Disturbed, for one. That one's easy. If you could find one long-lost friend of the past, who would it be? Megan. I want her to know I forgive her and miss her friendship. What holiday do you enjoy the most? Christmas. (: Were you born in the state you live in? Yep. Have you ever lived in a house that has been broken into? No, but almost. Who do you know that watches the most sports? Probably my dad? Idk. Do you like South Park? Not really. Are you good at bowling? No. Made out for more than 3 minutes? Three minutes is nothin' lmao. Have you ever gone snorkeling or scuba diving? If yes, what’s the coolest thing you’ve seen? No, but I'd love to. What’s your favorite filling in chocolates? Caramel. What do you remember from sex ed class when you were younger? Abstinence was the only option. Heteronormativity. What’s the first instrument you ever played? Ha, a recorder back in elementary school. Have you ever had a friend break up with a bf/gf for you? Essentially. We didn't date, but that's why he broke up with her, because he wanted me instead. Do you see a bright light at the end of your tunnel? I don't like thinking about this. I can only hope there is, but I doubt it a lot. Have you ever waited in line overnight for something? No. Is there such a thing as being too rich or too poor? "Too poor" is very obviously a thing??? "Too rich" is more complicated to me, as I can see both sides to it. Like it's your hard-earned money, but at the same time, is it really necessary at a certain point? Like start donating regularly or something. Do something good. Do you think having an expensive phone is a good investment? Depends on how expensive, I suppose, and what you use it for. What’s your largest bill? Electric, gas, phone, etc. I don't have any of my own bills. It's embarrassing by this age. Do you like your job? I'd like to even have a job... What is your favorite song and why? "False Flags" by Massive Attack, because it's so poetically haunting in its message of how fucked up politics are. Its monotonous tone also adds another layer of sadness to it, like a reminder of how "normal" and bland and unsurprising everything is, no matter how horrible... I could honestly probably write an essay on how I interpret the song, especially if you add in the incredible symbolism of such a simplistic music video. Are you introverted or extroverted? I am very introverted. If you’re married and your spouse cheated on you, would you forgive them? Nope, byeeeee~ Who knows the real you the most? Sara, really. How old is the oldest person you’ve had sexual relations with? He'd be 27 now. Have you been upset the past few days? My PTSD has been kinda vicious the past couple days, especially today. Then earlier at my nephew's b-day party I had to nearly bite my fucking tongue off with that family's political bullshit. My anger really flared up a few times hearing despicable shit, but I think I concealed it fine by just not saying a word. What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever thought of doing for a job? Nothing "crazy," really... Who was your first celebrity crush? Jesse McCartney had my young heart, ha ha. When did you last see or speak to someone you dislike? Why do you dislike this person? Today, at my nephew's aforementioned b-day party. I in specific don't like my sister's husband because he's sexist, racist, homophobic, bigoted... I could go on and on. We don't just have "different opinions," we have different morals entirely. When you listen to music, do you generally sing along, or just listen? I almost always just listen. I don't sing a lot. Can you remember the last time you felt emotional? What was the reason? Today. PTSD is a bitch. What if you were told that your life has to stay exactly as it is right now, and nothing will ever change? How would you feel about that? Quite honestly, I don't think I would want to live anymore. Have you ever been to the hospital for something really serious? I'd consider an OD on cold medicine to be serious, but then again, I experienced almost no effects from it. Idk if I just got fluids fast enough or what, but whatever it was, I'm thankful for. Are you excited for winter? UGGGHHHH BRING IT ONNNNNNN. Have you ever had a moment with someone you like that seemed like a movie moment? Many. What are you listening to right now? "Down In The Park" by Marilyn Manson. What’s your favourite flavour of iced tea? Tea is gross. Have you ever been to a casino? If so, which one(s)? No. Have you ever visited a sex shop? I haven't. Have you ever ridden a bicycle through a busy city? NOOOOOOOO. I could never do that. What’s your favourite place to get pizza? Literally Domino's, lmao. I am so basic. Do you have a lock number or pattern for your phone? No. There sure isn't anything important on it. What’s the most number of people you’ve ever lived with? Five.

Spidey Senses (pt. 3)
Peter Parker x reader
Summary: You and Peter suit up and fight.
Word Count: 2730
Chapter 1 • Chapter 2 • Chapter 4
You woke up in Peter's warm arms, feeling his chest rising and falling peacefully. You slowly got out of his warmth and out into the cold room, where you took a quick shower. While in the shower, Peter woke up and figured it would be nice to get out a pair of clothes for you, laying it out on the bed before going back to sleep for a bit. You grabbed the clothes with a smile and changed in the bathroom. While you were doing that, there was a knock at the door.
Peter got up and opened the door, with low waisted sweat pants and no shirt. Happy furrowed his brows. "What are you doing in y/n's room? Where is she?"
"I think she's changing now in the bathroom. Did something happen?"
"Were you in here with her all night?" Happy was enraged at the misunderstanding situation he was watching.
"Um, yeah?" Peter leaned on the door, which pissed Happy off even more. Was he just eating this up?!
"What the hell is wrong with you? She's only 15, and you're seriously going to toy with her feelings just to sleep with her? Have some respect for her, and yourself!"
As Happy yelled at Peter, Peter was backing up out of shock, causing Happy to walk in. "No no no no no! It isn't like that!"
You got out of the bathroom, having heard Happy's voice and just finished changing. "What'd I miss?"
"Happy thinks we had, like, sex or something!" Peter looked at you in a panic.
"Woah!" You walked in between Happy and Peter. "It's really not what it looks like. I get nightmares so Peter slept in the same room with me. That's it."
"Oh." He shifted his feet awkwardly. "My, my bad. Sorry."
You smiled. "Thank you for defending my honor though. That's really sweet of you." He smiled and nodded back. "So did you want to tell us something?"
"Oh, right." He walked to a different door and opened it, revealing another room.
"Woah, was that a part of our rooms too?!" Peter asked.
"Oh my God that's so cool." You whisper yelled.
Happy geastured to the two suitcases, and Peter got out his phone to record. "Is, is this for for us?" He excitedly asked.
"Who else would it be for?" Happy said.
"This is the coolest thing I've ever seen!" Peter quickly said, almost out of breath. Happy then walked away. "Wait, Happy!"
You then bounced up and down. "This is awesome!" You both put on your outfits facing away from each other. "Okay, ready?"
"Yeah."
"1, 2, 3!" You both turned around to see each other in your super suits. "You look amazing!"
"So do you!" You both hugged each other, and Peter spun you around. You had one mask to cover your eyes and another one to cover your mouth and nose.
"What are you two doing?" Happy came in again.
"We put them on?" You said, confused.
"No, you don't put them on yet. We're taking a plane and then you two put them on. I just wanted you guys to grabs the suitcases."
You both put on your normal clothing over the suits, Peter recording the two of you messing around. You went on the private plane and messed around some more, with Peter waking up to a sleeping Happy as a prank. That's when you got to the empty airport and waited for your signal.
You glaced at Peter, only to see him taking out his camera and still filming. "Are you recording this too?!"
"I need to get everything." He then pointed the camera to you. "Alright, let's see that face."
"This face isn't gonna be front and center in your videos Peter. You know I hate seeing myself on camera." You turned away from him.
He felt a little bad for reminding you of your insecurities, but decided that teasing you would make you feel better. "C'mon, just a little." He reach over and pulled down your mouth mask. "Let's just get the smile and..." He pulled over your eye mask as well. "Aww, see? You look nice."
He pinched your cheek and you giggled, swatting his hand away. "Okay, you got me. I guess I'm in your video diary."
"Don't worry folks, we got her smile." He teased some more. You put back on your masks and hugged him from the side as he talked to the camera one on one.
"Underoos!"
The signal was then shouted, and you both swooped in, you shooting a web at Steve's arm while Peter grabbed his shield. "Hey everyone." Peter said.
"Did we miss something?" You teased.
A big fight erupted quickly, and you were defending everyone whenever you could. You and Peter were with the Falcon for a bit. "So what's your suit made out of? Carbon fiber?"
You hung upside down and stared at the fallen Falcon. "That would explain the flexibility ratio."
"So Tony just hired teenager hims now?" Sam asked sarcastically.
"Does our intelligence threaten you?" You asked seriously before giggling and coming back to the ground. "I'm totally kidding man. I love your wings and I'm a pretty big fan."
Then there was that amazing moment for you when Clint was coming at the Black Panther, who was trying to get to the Ant Man. As he was running you ran over to him, sliding on your knees as you stuck out your arms. "Need a lift?" You asked.
You then boosted him up where he hopped right above Clint and punching Ant Man. "Thank you young one."
"Course sir!"
Soon the Ant Man was suddenly huge, and you followed in Peter's lead of wrapping him in webbing. You then heard Peter ask, "Hey, have you guys seen that really old movie Empire Strikes Back?"
You bursted into a fit of giggles over the question, and you heard, "Jesus Tony, how old are these kids?"
"Just hear Peter out sir." You suggested.
He was panting from working hard at this point, as were you. "You guys remember... on the snow planet... with the walking thingies!"
"I think the kid might be onto something." Tony said. Sure enough, it worked.
"Yes~!" You cheered.
"That was awesome–!" You and Peter both got cut off from the slap of the Ant Man's hand. You both slammed into the ground, where Tony told you guys that you did a great job, and that you were done.
You both took off your masks. "So," you said breathlessly. "We just fought with the Avengers."
"I stole Captain America's shield." You both giggled.
When you both got up and retrieved Peter's camera, you saw that Happy was waiting in his car outside. You both got in and sighed at the comfort of sitting on cushions. "Rough fight?" He asked.
"The guy with the metal arm was pretty cool." You said. "And I like Falcon's suit."
"I like how Mr. Stark vouched for us with the War Machine." Peter said.
"You two look like crap." You gave Happy a smile at the comment. "You're going to be in the hotel for the rest of the day, and Tony's gonna come with you tonight to drop you two off."
Once you two were in your hotel room, Peter rambled on to his camera, and you put in some information occasionally. Once Happy came and told him to shut up, he turned off the camera and faced you.
"So I have, like, a huge favor to ask." You sat on your bed and patted him to sit as well, which he did. "I need help with talking to Liz."
"W–um, okay." You said slowly. It's fine. You were his friend, and you had to help him out. Even if it hurt. "It's easy, just talk to me and pretend I'm her."
"Okay." He said quietly.
"Hey Peter." You said and smiled.
"H...Hey Liz."
"How was your day?"
"It was, um, it was good. How's your day? Did you–Did you have a good time, or... not that you were going anywhere but if your day in general was a good time. Y'know, sometimes you could just be at school and have a good time or—"
"Peter stop." You said, giving him a wide grin as you covered his mouth with your hand. "You need to take a deep breath and calm down."
"I know, it's just really hard when I'm talking to her." He sighed in defeat. "I'm just gonna keep looking stupid in front of her. What's the point."
"Don't say that." you said quietly. You leaned into the headboard, and opened your arms. He laid down into your side, fitting perfectly. You began stroking his soft hair. "You don't look stupid, and you never have. You just need to be confident with yourself and talk to her as if you were talking to any other girl. You're amazing Peter, of course she'll like you back."
He tightened his grip around you. "Thanks y/n. You're amazing too."
You both dozed off, but unlike the peaceful Peter in your arms, you fell asleep upset with the doubts about yourself kicking in. Your dreams went back to the thought of your mom and her friends. The drugs. You couldn't stop them from putting a needle in you. You thrashed around but they pinned you down. You yelled out for someone to help you, but they covered your mouth. Nobody's going to help you.
"Y/n wake up!"
You jolted up from your bed, where Peter was shaking you awake. You had tears in your eyes. "I... They held me down... I couldn't move..."
"It's okay. It's just you and me. Nobody else." He brought you into his arms as you hugged him tightly, quietly sobbing.
Happy then came into the room. "What happened?"
"It's nothing, she just had a nightmare." You hid your face in Peter's shirt, not wanting Happy to see you like this. "She doesn't like people seeing her cry."
"Oh, uh, sorry." He then left the room.
After a bit you stopped crying, Peter being patient with you the whole time. "Are you okay now?"
"I guess." You sat up and turned away from him, putting your face in your hands. "I'm sorry you had to see that."
"It's okay, sometimes you just need to let out a good cry." He scooted closer to you. "Can I see your face please?"
"Why?" Your voice came out as a whisper.
"Cause you're hiding it from me." He gently moved your hands. "Look, I found my best friend."
You smiled and went on your knees to wrap him in a hug. "Thank you Peter. You always make me happy."
At that moment, Peter noticed how good you smell. He's always been around your familiar scent, but it was never this good before. And you hair, was it always so soft and shiny? You felt so soft and warm right now. He didn't know how to describe it, but you just felt so overwhelmingly nice in his arms.
It was cut short by Happy knocking as Tony barged in. "Alright, time to go." You both sperated and quickly got your stuff. As you were leaving Tony blankly told you, "Your face is puffy. Why?"
"Your ego is huge. Why?"
"Fair enough." You and Peter packed up the car when when Happy whispered to you, making sure you were okay. "Y/n, you and me are in the back. Kid you go in the front."
"Um, Mr. Stark sir." Peter fiddled with the bottom of his shirt.
"Look at me in the eye when you're talking to me." Peter's head quickly shot up. "Okay, what?"
"Please don't pressure her with questions. She's been through some stuff and I don't think it's fair if–"
"Peter, it's okay." You said. "He's still gonna overstep. I don't mind."
"Okay." You both smiled at each other as you went into the car.
"Happy put up the divider." Once it was up, he turned to you. "So you two had a moment."
"It's not a moment, I just had a nightmare. And by the way, what did you say to him yesterday?"
"I was just helping him compare you to that other girl." He said casually.
"You what? Wha–why would you do that? She's like, actual perfection!"
"And what do you think you are?"
"Nowhere near her." You sighed and looked out the window. "Well that explains him asking for help on talking to her."
"Oh wow, what an idiot. That's not at all what I was going for." He put his hand under his chin.
"I know but he gets like that with her. He really likes her Tony. Thanks for trying to help, but me and him are hopeless."
"I call bullshit on that. You two are adorable, and I can tell you'll end up together."
"Thanks." You smiled.
He knocked on the dividers, and you and Peter switched places, only with the dividers down. Peter talked to his camera some more, and Tony caught him, making a joke about it before talking into the camera as well. He then told the two of you that you were keeping the suits.
"One question I do have is for the other kid."
"Is he talking about me?" You mumbled to Happy.
"I think he is." He mumbled back.
"Did he just call me the 'other kid'? That's so rude." You then turned to Tony, smiling at Happy's quiet, high pitched chuckle. "What's up?"
"Why do you call me Tony instead of Mr. Stark like Peter? You called everyone else sir."
"That's not true. I call my new best friend Happy by his name."
Happy looked at you and awkwardly shook his head. "She doesn't mean that Tony."
"Yes I do. I'm stealing your friends. Now I just need to meet James Rhodes and Pepper Potts."
Peter let out a chuckle, and Tony laughed as well. "Watch it kid. And that didn't answer my question."
You shrugged. "I don't know, just sounds right. I guess I can try." You made your voice sound more mature when you asked, "Will that be all Mr. Stark?"
"Okay now you sound like Pepper, which is really creepy for me."
You giggled. "Tony it is."
"Oh, and before I forget." He took out a check and stuck his hand out for you to take it. "Here you go."
You only stared at it. "What's that for?"
He lightly scoffed. "You don't really think I'm not gonna help you out when you're living in a dump like that."
You frowned, and the car came to a stop at your apartment complex. "That dump is what I call home Tony." You said quietly. "I'm proud of it."
"No offense kid, but you really shouldn't be proud of that." Peter said nothing, but his body language changed.
"Well I, the 15 year old, got an apartment by herself. I got a job to pay for my living, and I cook and clean for myself. I even started buying cable recently. So yeah, I'd say I'm proud of what I managed to do. Some people aren't as lucky as me. I'm not a charity case, so don't treat me like one."
He hesitated. "I didn't mean–"
"Goodbye Mr. Stark." You then got out of the car, and they heard a glimpse of you saying "Linda!"
"I'll take the check Mr. Stark." Peter said. "I'll make sure she takes it tomorrow. She just gets angry and embarrassed when people look down on her. It's happened to her a lot, but she'll realize that you did it out of kindness."
Tony stared out the window. "Who's that?"
Peter saw that you were talking to a homeless girl, and buying a newspaper from her. "That's Linda. Y/n became friends with her not too long after she moved into the apartment. They talk, sometimes she cooks for Linda and let's her shower, and Linda sometimes leaves some money on y/n's counter. Maybe like a dollar or two. Y/n doesn't say anything about it so she doesn't embarrass Linda."
Meanwhile, you were talking to your friend outside. "Okay, I'll get us something to eat. I don't really have anything made so cereal it is."
"Lucky charms." She called out as you ran up the stairs.
"Got it!"
While you were preoccupied, Peter and Tony got out of the car. "Hey Linda." Peter said.
"Hey Peter! I'm sure your internship trip was fun with y/n."
Peter chuckled. "Yeah it was awesome."
"Kid go get her bags." Peter didn't say anything is he went to the trunk to get your suitcases. "Hi. Tony."
"You're..."
"Yup. Do you have a bank account?"
"Well, no."
"Then here." He took off his watch and handed it to her. "This is all I really have on me at the moment."
"Holy shit. Um, thank you sir!"
"Don't mention it." Just as you came down the steps with two bowls in hand, Tony nodded to you and went into the car.
"I'll bring these up to your apartment for you." Peter said.
"You have a lot to tell me you little shit." Linda said, grinning wide. "You didn't mention Tony Stark being a part of your internship tour."
"Ugh, I guess I could tell you a little bit." You teased.
"I just want to hear about him. Holy crap he's hotter in person."
"Do you ever not cuss Linda? Like, shit bro."
"What are you gonna do, tell my parents? And what about you? You just cussed."
"What are you gonna do, tell my parents?" You chuckled.
She scoffed and looked down at her bowl. "That was a pretty good come back."
"Okay, your stuff is in your living room." Peter said as he came out. You both hugged. "Good night."
"Night." He then left you to your nosy and thirsty friend.

The Logic of Them
Summary: On Pidge’s graduation day, Lance hands her a tablet with a video that would change her life.
A @plancesecretsanta 2019 fic for @ursamiiinor. Merry Christmas, Dia! Sorry for the delay. Here’s your college AU gift fic! ^u^
Read it on AO3.
----
Lance handed Pidge a tablet, and she stared blankly at the device. “What do I do with this?”
He arched his brows at her. “What do you usually do with tablets, Pidge?”
“A lot, so just tell me which one I should do.”
“Everyone wanted to congratulate you,” he finally explained, securing a pair of earbuds in her ears before taking the seat beside her. “I compiled their greetings into one video since most of them can’t make it today.”
“Oh.” Pidge edged closer to Lance and gave him her other earbud so they could watch the video together. She was excited to hear from everybody again.
Two years ago, Shiro had qualified as an astronaut candidate and had left to train for space travel. While she heard from him regularly, and while she also got updates on his training from Matt, who’d become an astronaut before Shiro, she still looked forward to seeing how he’d been.
Meanwhile, Hunk had returned to his hometown last year to apply everything he’d learned about green engineering. Same for Keith and Allura. Only Lance had stayed from their batch, and only Pidge, a year younger than them, was left to graduate a year later.
The video started with everyone—from friends to family—in their video squares, congratulating her for graduating. She beamed instantly. All the people she loved, close at hand despite being far away.
Keith’s square zoomed in to its full size.
He frowned at the camera. Or the one behind it, most likely. “I go first?"
Pidge heard Lance’s hushed “Yeah. Just go say something.”
Keith huffed, crossed his arms, then began: “Pidge and Lance aren’t the typical couple. They don’t hold hands. They don’t go on dates. They’re literally best friends who label themselves as a couple. Their announcement was so sudden it didn’t even sink in for five minutes.” He glared. “Who announces something like that as if they’re just going out to get food, anyway?”
“Did it seem like that?” Lance asked from behind the camera. She had the same question in mind, so she tried to remember that moment.
* * *
Even though she was focused on editing a code due in fifteen minutes, Pidge could feel Lance’s nervousness rolling off of him from the couch across from her. She couldn’t understand why he was so tense; she was pretty sure they’d been obvious with their feelings these past few months that the others wouldn’t really be surprised. Still, she shot him a reassuring look, knowing that that would calm him down. It did, as always. It practically worked like a charm.
He called everyone’s attention with a “Hey, guys?” She felt him falter. She glanced at him and met his questioning eyes. “Let’s tell them, Pidge?”
“Sure.” Another reassuring look his way, and she was lost in her code again, typing at full speed to meet her deadline.
“Tell us what?” Hunk asked absently between chewing noises.
“We’re in a relationship now. Well, have been for two months.”
Pidge didn’t notice the complete silence until she’d pressed the enter key to send in her work. She looked up then, finding astonished, dumbfounded expressions on everyone’s faces and utter confusion on Lance’s—an expression that no doubt matched hers.
“What?” she asked, her question reverberating in the still silent living room of Shiro and Keith’s shared apartment.
“What?” Allura asked back.
“What ‘what’?” Lance asked back, too.
And they all stared at each other in more confusion.
* * *
“And yet,” Keith continued, recalling Pidge from her recollection, “somehow, they made sense.” He smiled, and the video switched to Hunk.
“I introduced them,” Hunk said smugly, making her chuckle. His grin was as bright and warm as the summer view behind him, if not more. “Pidge and I were classmates in this course that required a thesis-level project—I mean, who does that?! Our university, apparently, but I digress.”
He shifted in his seat, his eyes twinkling with excitement. “So. Eve of our deadline and we’re stressed out of our minds. Local pizza shack about to close. What did I do? I snuck her into our dorm. My best mate and roommate Lance—bless you—”
“Thank you,” came Lance’s distant voice.
“—opened the doors from inside after curfew, quick introduction, then Pidge and I were back at work. Aaand…” he drawled. “I don’t know if she’d ever realized, but the nickname ‘Pidge’ wasn’t actually ‘Pidge’.”
“Oh no. No no no no. Hunk, don’t say another word,” Lance’s disembodied voice had taken on a warning tone that Hunk, as his best friend, easily disregarded.
“Pidge, you hearing this? That night you met each other and you had your full snark on? He called you a bi—” A hand, obviously Lance’s, clamped over Hunk’s mouth before he could finish.
The video switched again, showing a slightly disheveled, post-laughter, but more formal Hunk. “I’ve been informed that some very important people might be viewing this. I apologize for the rowdiness you witnessed a few seconds prior.”
Pidge paused the video to smirk at the not-camera Lance by her side. “You dared call me something remotely derogatory, Lance?”
His face paled a bit before darkening with a blush. “W-We didn’t have the best first impressions of each other, Pidge.”
When he avoided all her efforts to establish eye contact, she burst out laughing. “Don’t worry, I knew from the start.”
“Wh-Really?”
“Anyone with clean ears will pick up on your noisy grumbling, you know?”
“Oh. Sorry for calling you that, Pidge.”
She shrugged. “It’s fine. The nickname that came from it stuck, anyway.”
He grinned at her, then motioned for her to continue watching.
“For people as dramatic as Lance and as explosive as Pidge, they sure are quiet as a couple. They’re honestly the most boring couple out there.”
“Hey!”
Hunk’s hands went up in a placating gesture. “Hey, don’t get me wrong, man. You guys are two of the coolest people I know. But nothing ever happens with you two! Remember that time Pidge got her appendix removed and she was coming out of her anesthesia-induced coma?”
Pidge tried to recall it. There wasn’t much that happened; the surgery was a success, and Hunk was the first person she found upon waking up, watching over her from a bedside chair.
“Pidge asked where you were, and I thought she was still loopy from the anesthesia so I said, ‘Who do you think gave you your heart?’ And she just stared at me blankly in her trademark way that told you she can’t comprehend what you’re saying, so if you can please say something with a minimum IQ level of one hundred. Then she said with perfect articulation, ‘I had an appendectomy, Hunk, not a heart surgery.’” Hunk looked at the camera, at her. “You could be in the middle of a brain surgery and still hack into the national security systems.”
Laughter bubbled right from her belly. She missed Hunk and his humor so much.
“Anyway, so I told Pidge the truth that Lance was out getting food for her visitors, and then she fell asleep on me. Hence my point stands: boring couple.” He sighed and shook his head in mock disappointment.
What he didn’t know was that his joke had a delayed effect on Pidge, because she could remember bawling when she saw Lance for the first time after her surgery.
“But if boring means no drama means stable, then it’s a blessing that my best buds have the most boring relationship ever.”
With one last salute from Hunk, the video showed Shiro next. Pidge’s chest swelled with pride upon seeing him in a NASA shirt. Like her father and brother, he wore the brand well.
“Lance and Pidge argue often, but rarely do they fight. When they do, strange things happen. Trees in the College of Engineering would seem less vibrant, and the fountain near the College of Letters and Science would stop spouting water. Thanks to Hunk’s talent for goss—” Shiro caught himself, smiled sheepishly, and corrected, “—storytelling, it has since become an urban legend that when the fountain suddenly dries up and the trees along the path to Engineering look like they’re wilting, a student from either college got into a fight with someone they really love from the other college.
“The simple and logical explanations for these rare phenomena are that tired students have altered perceptions of their surroundings, and that the malfunction in the fountain’s pipes just happens to coincide with the equally rare times that Pidge and Lance fight.” He leaned in towards the camera with a conspiratorial smirk. “Here’s my secret though…” He paused, and Pidge held her breath in anticipation. “I don’t think the real explanation is as simple or logical as that.”
The next person to appear caught her off-guard. He wasn’t in the opening greeting, so she figured he was a last-minute addition. It didn’t keep the smile from tugging at the corners of her lips, though.
It was Dr. Smythe, her thesis adviser.
“Pidge—no, Katie Holt, or as I prefer to call her, Number Five, as my fifth consecutive award-winning undergraduate thesis advisee,” he said as a long preamble, stroking his mustache in his own way of preening, “elevates everything she does to unprecedented levels: her classes, her thesis, her contributions to our academic research, her overthinking, and her neglect of herself when in pursuit of something that piques her interest—unintentional, I’m sure, but neglect nonetheless.” Even though she’d just shaken her adviser’s hand as his friend instead of his student not three hours ago, Pidge felt scolded like a kid.
“Worried as I was for her well-being her whole thesis process, I did something unforgivable for an adviser to do!” Dr. Smythe took a dramatic breath that had Pidge’s heart stopping in shock. “I withheld information from my protégée!”
He did what?! Would it affect her thesis, her graduation, her future prospects?!
“I told her there was no way to cut the runtime for one of our computers, when in fact she could have cut it down by a third, or even half! Ah, forgive me, Number Five!” He grabbed the camera by the sides and cried into it in all his genius eccentricity. “I did it for your sake! You never take breaks outside of that waiting time; it was the only time your lover could help calm your nerves!”
Pidge felt her face heat up.
“‘L-Lover’?!” Lance sputtered. The camera’s angle straightened; Dr. Smythe must’ve let go of it now.
Her adviser leveled an odd look where Lance was off-cam. “Yes! Aren’t you her lover? You’ve been lurking outside the labs the whole year.”
“Ye—I mean—To call me that so directly…”
Dr. Smythe pulled on his mustache once. “Get used to it, young man.” And then the video switched again.
It was an abrupt ending for her thesis adviser’s part, but Pidge all but forgot about him when she saw Allura beaming at her.
“Hi, Pidge,” Pidge’s best friend and only childhood friend greeted with a wave. “Congratulations again on graduating. Oh, I miss you so much!” Pidge’s fingers traced Allura’s face ever so lightly on the tablet. She missed her friends—her family outside of her family—so much it almost hurt. “I’ve been asked to say something about you and Lance as a couple.”
“Something good, preferably,” video-Lance quipped, earning a laugh from Allura. She glanced somewhere off-center, probably at where Lance had been filming.
“Alright. Something good, then. Some thoughts I’ve kept in my heart for as long as I’ve known you both.
“You couldn’t be more opposite to each other—gods know how you damage our ears with your bickering. And yet you work perfectly together when it mattered most. You balance each other out. Lance, you lift Pidge up whenever her realism bordered on pessimism. Pidge, you tether Lance whenever his head starts floating to the clouds with his easygoing optimism. Lance is the people-person—I’m sure we all agree on that?” Allura confirmed, teasing eyes looking straight at the camera. Pidge giggled and nodded. “While Pidge understands the world, and perhaps even the universe, at its core.
“Pidge learned from a young age how to build walls to defend herself from envious people who want to drag her down. But Lance, with your big family, you’ve learned how to deconstruct them in order to connect with others.” Allura’s eyes welled with tears, and Pidge’s mirrored them. “You’ve met and challenged Pidge on all levels, Lance. I’m so happy she’s finally found her match in you.”
The camera caught a sniffling sound. “Thanks, Allura.”
Allura’s video cut off with her smiling and dabbing her cheeks with tissue.
Lance’s parents came next, congratulating Pidge enthusiastically and inviting her to their home for a graduation feast.
“Our son brags about his many former girlfriends, but… you are the only one he has ever taken home,” his mother said, the gleam of mischief in her eyes.
“Mom!” Lance whispered harshly. “You gotta give a better message!”
“Let me try.” The camera shifted a bit to focus on Lance’s father. “Our son has had trouble finding his place, being the youngest among his siblings. He told us that you put him in his place, when you met. He said because of that, he found his place and could finally move forward.” The wrinkles at the corners of his eyes deepened as he smiled. “Thank you, Katie.
“Is that good, son?”
“Yeah… Yeah. Thanks, Mom. Thanks, Dad.”
Pidge could see where this was going—or at least, where it could possibly go. The montage of everyone congratulating her at the start may just be a façade. But since Lance was still in his seat, not fumbling for a tiny box or kneeling on the ground, she couldn’t be sure.
That was until Matt’s face appeared. Then her tears started falling. Because this was her family next. Whatever they had to say about her and Lance would greatly affect their relationship. This was their time to frankly voice out their issues with either of them, and yet Matt was grinning.
“You got me at a good time,” he told the off-cam Lance, who chuckled.
“Three days before launch. I’d say I’m still great at crunch time one year after graduating.”
Matt laughed before turning to the camera. “Hey, Pidge! Congrats on graduating!” His smile turned apologetic. “Sorry I can’t be there to watch you walk on stage and shake hands with people you’ve probably never met your entire college life.” He stopped and waggled his eyebrows expectantly; he knew she’d laugh at his joke. The apologetic smile returned. “And sorry for taking Dad here with me. We need his supervision for the new docking procedure we’ll be trying out. Give Mom some space hugs for me, will you? And if you ever need advice… you can consult Dad’s favorite book any time.” He winked, and she received his secret message successfully.
“Okay. On to matters I’d rather not talk about.”
“Matt!”
Matt’s carefree guffaw made Pidge’s heart ache for her brother’s presence. She mentally calculated the time elapsed since his crew’s launch. Their rocket should be orbiting Earth right about now, preparing to align with the International Space Station.
“I would never forget your first dinner with us. I can tell you really wanted to impress us with your research in the fields we specialize in. But that wasn’t what ended up impressing us. It was how you managed to hit on Mom after you ran out of things to talk about regarding our specialties.”
“It wasn’t on purpose!” Lance protested, and though Pidge couldn’t see him, she knew that the Lance behind the camera was blushing hard. She glanced at the Lance sitting next to her, sending him an amused—albeit tearful—smirk. He returned a sheepish grin.
* * *
“You’ve gone silent, Lance,” Mom said as she sliced her steak.
Lance stiffened. Pidge knew how much he wanted to leave a good impression on her family. So far, so good. Everything they’d rehearsed, as well as the crash course she’d given him, was paying off. But for some reason, he didn’t seem to think so and had stopped participating in conversations.
“Oh, um…” He swallowed, drank water, then swallowed again. “M-Must be in my genes to be speechless in the face of beauty,” he blurted out in one breath.
The whole table went silent. Awkwardly silent for a full ten seconds. Lance’s face was dark with mortification, Pidge’s family was sitting thunderstruck by his response, and Pidge was starting to wonder if organizing this dinner had been a mistake.
But then Mom and Matt burst into laughter, Dad following suit.
“Sorry, son,” Dad said, regarding Lance a little more warmly than a few seconds ago. “Colleen is spoken for. May I introduce you to my daughter Katie instead?”
The wide smile that spread across Lance’s lips seemed to chase away his embarrassment. He looked at Pidge with bright eyes, and her heart temporarily forgot its rhythm. “I’d love that, Sir.”
* * *
“I know,” Matt assured with a chuckle. “But that accidental thing showed us that you specialized in your own field, too. In building connections with people.
“Pidge—Katie has never been good at making friends. I think only Allura was stubborn enough to get through to her, and it took years. You changed that. You helped my sister expand her world. Now, you mean the world to her.” He directed a kind smile slightly to the left. “I wouldn’t be surprised if you are her world.”
His eyes softened, then he stood from his seat, opening his arms. After a few moments, Lance appeared on-screen to return the hug. The sight brought fresh tears to Pidge’s eyes.
“I leave her in your care, brother,” Matt said. “She’ll probably argue that she can take care of herself. She’s right about that, but it’s still reassuring to know she’s in good hands either way.”
Lance sniffled twice before replying, “Thank you, brother.”
Matt clapped Lance’s back. “No problem. Now let’s look for tissues before the staff suspect you’re infecting me with colds.”
They both snickered.
When the video switched to her parents’ smiling faces, Pidge’s hands became damp with sweat and her heart began to pound. She knew they’d already given Lance their blessing, seeing as this video existed, but this would be the first time she’d be hearing what they thought about her relationship with Lance.
The first thing she noticed was their clothes. They were wearing the unexpectedly awesome sweaters Lance’s grandmother had knitted for them last Christmas. A lump formed in her throat at the realization; she had to lower her voice so she could still speak with words instead of inarticulate sobs.
“How long have you been planning this?” she asked, eyes not straying from the screen.
“A while,” Lance answered just as quietly.
“Congratulations on your graduation, Katie,” Mom greeted.
“We’re so proud of you, Katie. So proud,” Dad added.
“You must have figured out what this video is really for by now,” Mom continued, to which Dad nodded.
“You must have deduced that we’ve given our blessing as well.”
“All that’s left for us to do is endorse this young man…” At Mom’s cue, Lance peeked from the corner of the screen and waved. “…to you.” Pidge glimpsed the obvious signs of nervousness on his face. It carried over to her as she waited for her parents’ “endorsement” of Lance.
“Lance came from a completely different background from us. He didn’t know anything about astrophysics, molecular biology, or computer engineering more than any other layperson did.” Pidge winced at Mom’s knowing smirk. “Don’t try to deny it, young lady; we know you two planned out what he would be talking about with us the first time he came over.”
Dad chuckled. “Lance hadn’t always been able to keep up with our discussions, but he was always willing to learn. He strived to see things from your perspective and understand you better. I’ve never seen you more patient than when you would explain a concept to him, Katie.” He glanced at Lance. “I’ve never seen a more receptive student, either.”
He redirected his gaze to the camera, smiling gently at Pidge. “You told him about the universe, showed how galaxies worked, demonstrated gravitational forces, and explained why the sun, moon, and stars existed. I hope you wouldn’t wonder too much how he realized he has fallen into orbit around you.”
Lance’s hand slipped into hers as the video faded out. Pidge felt something press onto her palm. She felt a ring press onto her palm, and she almost started crying again. Instead, she took a deep, shaky breath to calm the tumult of emotions within her. Lance remained patiently quiet by her side. They watched the flock of graduates and guests in front of them in the meantime, the cacophony of congratulations and goodbyes and promises to keep in touch filling the silence between them.
“You’re not getting down on one knee?” she teased eventually, once she was confident enough to speak.
“I could,” he replied, “but do you want me to?”
“No, actually.”
“Thought so.” She could hear the mirth in his voice. The sound calmed her down further.
“Everybody won’t be satisfied with anything less than showy, though.”
He hummed in thought. “I’ll consider it.”
“Maybe they’ll even make you do something Matt and Shiro will see from space.”
“Maybe.” He shrugged. “It all depends on your answer.”
She turned towards him, willing him to meet her eyes. “You already know my answer.”
When he did, she was struck anew by how his eyes shone with everything he didn’t need to tell her out loud, and how they regarded her with understanding, and how absolutely, breathlessly beautiful they were. “I want to hear it anyway.” Like the hue of a clear day. Like the shade of a calm sea. Like the color of love. “Will you marry me, Pidge?”
Pidge twined her fingers around Lance’s, beaming up at him. “You know I will, Lance.”

ONCE UPON A TIME...
TABLE OF CONTENTS
Mabel was stolen away from her fluffy-animal-infested dream when she heard what could only be described as... a Dipper Scream.
Mabel quickly shot up, standing on her bed and getting into a crane stance. "WHO GOES THERE!? SPEAK NOW OR FOREVER LOSE YOUR TEETH!!!"
Frisk was quick to follow, mumbling incoherently as they slowly sat up from their sleeping position in the sleeping bag. They covered their left ear as Mabel bellowed. "Mmmmgh not so loud, Mabel... Whatsssss going on?"
Then they saw it.
There, sitting in a ball position at the left leg of Dipper's headboard, was a familiar plum-furred bear.
The whole thing with it actually breathing? And making bear noises? And eating Dipper's left sock? Those were definitely unfamiliar territory.
"Oh dear," was all that Frisk could manage.
For what felt like too long of an amount of time, nobody else spoke. All they could do was focus on the bear that was devouring the poor sock like it was nothing but an ice cream sandwich. Finally Dipper spoke up. Or tried to, at least. "B- ba- b-b-bear.. ee…eeeeee… eatinggggg… mmmmmmy sock. It just… it was up in my face and-"
Mabel finally found her voice, and the first thing she did with it was shout "Mr. SnuggleLots?!?! How are you alive?? And... what are you doing with my brother's sock?! That's not healthy for you at all! Any sock that's on Dipper's feet must be washed, sterilized, and quarantined for a week! And you have it in your mouth?!"
Frisk blanched. "Dipper, is that actually true???"
"Wha- no!!!" said the dumbfounded Dipper. "At least... good god, I hope not...!"
"Mr. SnuggleLots, drop that sock this instant!" said Mabel, dropping down from the bed and beginning to march towards the Teddy.
In response, the plum bear gave a disgruntled huff and turned itself... or, himself away from Mabel. Dipper and Frisk watched in shock and awe (but mostly shock) as the bear finished scarfing down the no doubt toxic sock and swallowing it. He then gave a sigh of satisfaction.
"Nooooooooooooo..." moaned Dipper, sounding like he just watched a brand new car that he purchased go careening off a cliff. "I lose enough socks in the laundry as is..."
"That was one hungry Mr. SnuggleLots," commented Frisk, having yet to get out of their sitting position in their sleeping bag. That quickly changed though when the bear made his way to the sleeping bag and started to gnaw on it. "Hey!" said Frisk, mildly perturbed.
"Alright Mr. SnuggleLots, t-that was your last warning!" said Mabel, who was honestly adapting to this situation remarkably fast. Not that it made things any less weird. Mabel walked right up behind the bear and lifted him up from the ground. "What am I going to do with you?! ...Seriously guys, what am I going to do with him??? Mabel's Rehabiliteddy Program™ was never prepared to handle Teddy bears that went sentient!"
Before anybody could answer her though, the Teddy bear very rudely latched his mouth onto Mabel's pajama sleeve and began to chew.
"AAACK!!!!" Hollered Mabel, making the other kids wince. The fact that nobody had barged into their room yet to demand some peace and quiet was honestly more miraculous than the sentient Teddy bear. And if that bear didn't let go soon, Mabel was just going to keep on shouting.
The bear refused to let go, and Mabel began running around the room on top of shouting, forcing Frisk to get out of their sleeping bag so they didn't get trampled.
"Not the pajama sweater!" Mabel cried out. "Anything but the pajama sweater! Mr. SnuggleLots let go! LET GO LET GO LET GO!
"Hold still, Mabel! I'll get him!" announced Dipper, looking poised and ready to leap out of his bed and natch the pesky plushie.
What happened next happened in slow motion.
Having realized that she was getting nowhere by shouting or running around, Mabel took her franticness up one more notch. She started spinning around like a ferocious helicopter-propeller. Around and around she went, getting dizzier with each passing second. But she never relented. Nobody was eating her sweater tonight!
Then, finally, she felt the extra weight on her sleeve disappear. She gave a sigh of dizzy relief.
CRAAASSSSSSHHHHHH!!!
Dipper and Frisk looked on in speechless horror as Mr. SnuggleLots had been flung off of Mabel's sleeve and straight through the bedroom window. The kids only barely registered the audible thud of the bear hitting the ground. Then huffing. Then scampering away.
...
"Whoops," squeaked Mabel
"Hoo boy," added Frisk.
"Mabel, what on earth was that thing?! And why is its name 'Mr. SnuggleLots?!?!'" barked Dipper.
"Three..." mumbled Frisk gloomily, like they were counting down to Ragnarok.
"Excuse me?! If you didn't spend all day sleeping away in bed," snapped Mabel in response, "we could already be heading out after him instead of playing catch up!"
"Two..."
"Let the thing go, for all I care!" snarled Dipper, leaning against the door and gesturing to the broken window."Cursed or not, that Teddy bear was never yours! Bet you $50 a witch owns that toy!"
"One..."
"No deal!" declared Mabel, crossing her arms in an "X" formation. "There's no guarantee that the bear has an owner to begin with! This is all laid out in the Rehabiliteddy Program™ which, once again, you wouldn't have missed if you didn't waste the day away in your bed!"
Dipper scowled. "Listen Mabel-!"
The door suddenly swung open violently, painfully sandwiching Dipper between the door and the wall. There, standing rigid and fuming, was Toriel.
“You all have five seconds to explain yourselves for this racket before I officially lose my temper. Starting now.”
"And that's why we need to go after him!" finished Mabel, waiting patiently as her scarf was wrapped around her.
"Goodness..." said Toriel, finishing Mabel's scarf and moving on to Frisk now that Mabel was all bundled up. "I will admit I still find the whole thing to be far fetched, but after the encounter you three had with that Blind Biker a few days ago, I'm inclined to believe any type of weird phenomena story that comes out of the mouths of you three."
Everyone was still in the bedroom. It didn't take to long to explain the situation to Toriel, even though the trio well exceeded the five second time limit. By the time she had learned that Mr. SnuggleLots was still out there, Toriel immediately went to work on dressing the kids up in extra layers, mittens, and scarves.
"What were you doing up this late, Ms. Toriel?" asked Dipper. "If you don't mind me asking, that is."
"I've spent all day looking for something that I cannot seem to find," Toriel answered while fastening a beanie cap onto Frisk. "A videotape. Perhaps one of you three saw it earlier this morning and it's currently in your possession?"
"Nope, sorry" said Dipper.
"I have not," added Frisk, their voice muffled by the scarf.
"Me neither," rounded off Mabel, pulling her scarf down to speak clearly. "Unfortunately all I have with me right now is candy. But I'm happy to share it with the coolest mom to ever walk the earth!"
Toriel was just about to start with Dipper when Mabel said that. Much to the twins' alarm, she started to weep.
Mabel panicked. "W-what did I say?! Oh god is that considered an insult in monster-culture?! I didn't mean it Miss Toriel I swear-!"
"You *sniff* you did *sniff* n-nothing wrong at all sweetheart," reassured Toriel, collecting herself. "It's just been a very lousy day for me it seems..."
Mabel and Frisk seemed at a loss for words.
"Hhhhhow about we put a pin on that for now, Ms Toriel?" Dipper butted in, before attempting to lighten the mood by adding, "Besides, we still need to track down a rogue Teddy bear."
Toriel gave a sad chuckle. "Please... no formalities are necessary. Toriel is... just fine. And yes, if we could save my troubles for later on, that would be great. I'm more concerned about you three pursuing this critter in the bitter cold of midnight winter."
"It's really not that bad-" started Dipper.
"Don't ever argue with the Goat Mom, Dipper," hissed Mabel, getting right in Dipper's face.
"Whoa hey there, personal space please," said Dipper, waving her away.
Toriel nodded. "It doesn't matter to me if winter on the surface is less brutal than winter in the Underground, you three are my responsibility right now, and that means you bundle up."
"Understood Mom," acknowledged Frisk.
"Of course Mis- I mean, Toriel," said Dipper, lifting his arms as Toriel started to apply his scarf.
Mabel suddenly had an idea. "Dipper, I can't believe I'm asking this, but do you think the black journal has anything about Mr. SnuggleLots?"
"It's worth checking," said Dipper, his voice muffled as well, now that the scarf was on. He pulled it down gently. "Toriel, if you don't mind, could you hold off on the mittens for a second? This is important."
"Just don't take too long. The further that bear gets, the longer you three have to be out there in the cold," reminded Toriel.
"Again, we've dealt with much worse-"
"Don't argue with Mom/The-Goat-Mother," said Frisk and Mabel at the same time.
"Right, right," said Dipper, grabbing the book and skimming through the pages. "Hmmm... not having much luck here. Maybe this author didn't encounter him. Gravity Falls is a big place-"
"Hang on," said Frisk, putting their hand on Dipper's shoulder. "I think I saw it. A few pages back."
Dipper flipped back a couple of pages, and eventually found a page with a very detailed illustration of Mr. SnuggleLots.
"Wow, dunno how I missed that," said an embarrassed Dipper.
"It's because you were rambling again!" teased Mabel, waving her arms from side to side. "Ramble ramble ramble!"
"Oh knock it off, Mabel. Thanks for catching that, Frisk," said Dipper, Frisk smiling in response. "Alright, lets see what we have here."
the nocturnal teddy bear
this peculiar stuffed animal holds a dark and not-that-deadly secret. every night, from sundown to sunrise, this bear comes to life and prowls the streets if it is without an owner. despite being a bear, not all of its behavior matches that of an average grizzly bear, so as far as advantages and weaknesses go, it is hard to pinpoint what works with this creature and what doesn't. one thing is for certain though: its diet is solely fabric. bed sheets, clothes, boxers, this bear will tear through it all until it is nice and full. once it is satisfied, it refrains from eating. if you are tracking down a starving nocturnal teddy bear, be wary or well armed. Or, bring along an outfit that you wouldn't mind if it got eaten. that is heavily ill advised, though.
An awkward silence befell the group as they all looked to each other and the new layers that Toriel had just finished putting on them.
"That certainly would have been nice to know beforehand," said Toriel, pinching the bridge of her snout.
"Sorry..." said Dipper sheepishly.
"But on the bright side," Mabel pointed out, "the book mentions nothing about a taste for human flesh! Just fabric! Which means we won't die!"
"Yeah, sure. Instead, we all will run the risk of committing public indecency," said Dipper, his winter coat's hood casting a shadow over his eyes. "I honestly would prefer death."
"It's not like anybody would see you this late at night," said Mabel, deadpanning.
"I will make sure to look away if such an event happens to you," Toriel promised Dipper.
"You'd probably die of Hypothermia before the embarrassment set in, Dipper," Frisk was polite to add.
"Let's just make sure it doesn't happen, okay?!" Dipper yelled.
"WAIT!!!" Mabel suddenly shrieked, an entire Christmas tree's worth of lights going off in her head. "I know how we can arm ourselves! We have to be suuuuuuuuuuuuper quiet though~"
It took a few seconds to leave the bedroom, Frisk having decided to bring their backpack with them before setting out, but soon afterwards, the trio and Toriel were standing in front of...
"The attic?" said Dipper incredulously, as he walked up to the attic entrance. "Why do we need to be quiet here? That's where Sans sleeps! We could kill a goat in there and it wouldn't wake him up!"
Hearing no response, Dipper turned around to see a Mabel who looked ready to punch him, a Frisk who looked beyond upset, and a Toriel that- oh.
"Shoot, I'm sorry," said Dipper to Toriel who looked downright uncomfortable. "I meant like, you know- we could make... an equivalent to that much noise... and Sans wouldn't... wake up."
"Let's just put a pin on it, like you suggested before," said Toriel. "Now please open the door so we can move on from this awkward situation."
"Right."
Click!
Creeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaak.
Slowly, silently, all three children slunk into the attic, stepping onto the creaky floor. If Sans caught them, it would take forever to explain the situation. Mabel worried that she'd be even further away from Mr. SnuggleLots. Frisk worried about having to explain why Toriel was with them. Dipper worried about Sans growing suspicious from all the snooping that Dipper had been trying to do on him.
Except, there was no Sans. Instead, there was a simple note on the window seat that read "be back later."
All three children groaned at how pointless all of that super awesome stealth turned out to be.
"He's not even here??? Then where is he?!" said Dipper, exasperated. "Frisk, is this disappearing act common for Sans?"
"Only during the daytime..." said Frisk, scratching their head in confusion while also adjusting the straps on their backpack. "I don't think I've ever seen him vanish at night though. Though to be fair, he never let me into his bedroom when I was in the underground..."
"You were snooping around in Sans's bedroom???"
"No. I just said that he never let me in. How could I possibly snoop in his room if I'm locked out of it? All jesting aside, yes I tried to do that. I failed miserably though."
"Well at any rate," said Dipper, eyes narrowing. "This skeleton is not helping his case. Everything he does only makes me grow more and more suspicious of him."
"Suspicious of what?" asked Toriel, approaching Dipper and Frisk.
Shoot... Should I tell her? Dipper cursed internally. She's a good friend of his, isn't she? And it's not like I have any concrete evidence of Sans being the time anomaly that the author is talking about... Think of something else, Dipper! Say something! Anything!!!
"Suspicious of him stealing your videotape," Dipper went with.
Toriel looked absolutely horror-stricken. "He did what?"
Whoa, that was not the reaction that Dipper was anticipating. He was ready to defend his lie, but she just went with it? How important was this videotape to her?? What was on it???
"I haven't found any evidence yet!" Dipper backpedaled. "I-it's just a hypothesis! I don't want to be right about it, believe me!"
Toriel did her best to calm down. "I certainly hope that that tape wasn't stolen in the first place. If it was, I... I don't know how I'd be able to handle it."
Dipper and Frisk gulped. The air in the room had gotten quite stagnated. If someone really had stolen it, Dipper had just basically sentenced him or her to death. So now, Dipper could be arrested tonight for arbitrarily committing public indecency or incitement. Hooraaaaaaaaay....
"Guess that's one obstacle out of the way!" said Mabel, her voice immediately vaporizing the suspense that she was oblivious to. She waltzed over to the stained glass window and opened it, paying no mind to the noise it made. Immediately the quartet was overcome by the intense chill of winter at midnight. Finally the kids saw the value of the extra clothes provided by Toriel.
"Now for the tough part..." shivered Mabel.
The kids climbed out of the window and onto the roof, all three bracing the cold current. One by one, the Mystery Trio tip toed along the roof.
"Still don't understand why we didn't just use the ladder from the gift shop," griped Dipper, a burst of wind making him shiver.
"We'd be climbing down those noisy stairs. We'd risk Undyne waking up," said Mabel. "I doubt you're eager to know what she's like if she's rudely woken up."
"Just to enlighten you," began Frisk, "she begins every day by chucking a spear at her alarm clock. She has an entire closet dedicated to alarm clocks because of all the ones she breaks. Now, imagine her mistaking you for an alarm clock because you woke her up-"
"I would rather not imagine something so horrifying while also balancing on a roof and enduring the bitter cold," said a trembling Dipper. "I get it. Ladder was a bad idea. Let's keep moving."
A few more minutes of sneaking, and they reached their destination: Wendy's platform. There, sleeping soundly, was Papyrus, with his newly knitted, and extremely long, "spaghetti scarf" draped around his shoulders.
Mabel looked to Dipper. Then she looked to Frisk. She put two fingers closed together in the air, waited three seconds, then pointed them to Papyrus and whispered, "Go!"
Dipper and Frisk fanned out, each approaching the opposite side of Papyrus. They gripped the scarf, and gently lifted it up and over. The scarf was now hovering in front of the sleeping skeleton, being held tight by the smiling Dipper and Frisk.
"Mission accomplished!" whisper-screamed Mabel.
It was at that moment that one little roof shingle had decided that it couldn't handle having Dipper's foot on top of it any longer.
CHHHRK!
Dipper slipped backwards, yanking the scarf. Frisk, who was still holding it, felt themself jolted forward, unable to keep themself from slamming into the panicking Pines brother. Dipper tried to right himself, but (surprise!) only managed to trip on the long scarf, making him fall backwards even further, Frisk lurching further forward as they were too riled up to remember to let go of the doggone scarf. This time, the delirious duo collided heads, resulting in an unceremonious CONK! as the blasted scarf continued to entangle them. Frisk and Dipper became a ball of yarn as they teetered off of the roof platform and landed on the snow covered grass with an obnoxious thud.
Everything... hurt.
"Mission... accomplished?" repeated Mabel, worried that Papyrus had been woken up from all of that noise.
"ZzzzzzzzzzzznnnnNNNYEH I WILL MAKE IT INTO THE ROYAL GUUAARRDDDDDDZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
"Whew," Mabel sighed before making her way back down to untangle the pair.
But not before taking a photo of the pair sprawled in the snow and entangled in that giant scarf.
"Oh dear, I never expected that he would actually take my advice to heart," Toriel chortled. "An actual spaghetti scarf. I really want to know what goes on in that skeleton's head. It must be fascinating."
With the scarf now acquired, it had been strategically wrapped by Mabel around the already scarfed necks of Dipper, Frisk, and and herself, before setting off into Gravity Falls to hunt down Mr. SnuggleLots. Silhouetted by the moon, the children looked like a paper-people-chain come to life.
Toriel insisted on coming along, not liking the idea of three kids being out at night without a grownup. The trio argued with her a bit, but they were quick to admit defeat when she gave them all a glare that only a mother could perfect.
"I'm shocked we didn't wake Papyrus up," quietly commented Frisk, who was at the front end of the line. "Especially after that humiliating descent."
"Look, I said I was sorry," mumbled Dipper in the middle, rubbing his forehead on instinct.
"It made a fun memory for me too look back on, though!" giggled Mabel from the back as she put her newly developed photo into her scrapbook.
"I'm glad to know that you still find pleasure from my pain," grumbled Dipper.
"Let's try to stay on task here," reminded Toriel, having decided to walk alongside the line rather than behind or in front of it. "So, you three are going to be using this scarf to lure the bear out?"
"In a way, yes" explained Frisk "But for the most part, it's to give Mr. SnuggleLots something to chew on that isn't our clothes."
"Hopefully the guy isn't hungry enough to eat the whole scarf," said Dipper worriedly.
"Yeah, Papyrus would not be happy with us," said Mabel.
"That's not what I'm- okay, that too," conceded Dipper, before turning his head back to the path. "Now then... if I were a hungry Teddy bear... where would I go..."
rustle rustle
There was a rustling of leaves. Immediately, all four heads darted to the source of the sound. Right in front of them were two bushes, shaking up a storm.
"Oooooooooooo!" squeaked Mabel, putting her hands to her cheeks. "Guys, I think maybe we found Mr. SnuggleLots's parents!"
"Everybody be absolutely still..." whispered Frisk.
"Ummmm, guys?" said Dipper as quietly as he could. "Mr. SnuggleLots is in fact a Teddy bear, right? Do Nocturnal Teddy Bears have parents???"
"That's..." said Mabel
"...a good question..." finished Frisk, tensing up.
Was it a pair of Nocturnal Teddy Bears? Gnomes? Goblins?! Eldritch Horrors?!
The rustles got louder.
Louder.
Louder-
"Oink!"
"Yip!"
The sigh of relief was unanimous as the heads of Waddles and the Samoyed popped out of the bushes.
"Waddllleeeeeeees! What are you doing outside this late at night? Get over here, mister!" cooed Mabel, rushing over to Waddles. Having forgotten that she was tied to the scarf, Dipper and Frisk were lurched forward and dragged through the snow by Mabel. She scooped up her prized pig and nuzzled him vigorously, Waddles lapping up the snowflakes on her cheeks. "Were you giving the dog a tour of the town? Were you? You were, weren't you, you cute little... cutie!"
"Oh hey! It's that dog from the mountain!" said Dipper in recognition of the other critter. "......what's his name again?"
"I don't think he has one," Toriel pitched in. "Frisk, you really should consider putting a collar on that puppy or at least giving him a name, what with how frequently I see him."
"This dog cannot be restrained by a collar," said Frisk, suddenly looking at an imaginary sunset. Dipper found it weird. Mabel was captivated. Then the moment was over as quickly as it began. "But I like the idea of giving him a name."
The child suddenly pointed at the white dog, who cocked his head.
"Toby."
"Brrk?"
"Your name is Toby."
"Urf."
"................may I call you Toby?"
"Arf!"
"Toby it is."
In the end, Toby and Waddles started following the group, the head count growing from four to six. And those six were lead on a wild tour of Gravity Falls at night in order to find this furball. If this fiasco was a scripted sequence for some TV show, this would have been the moment when the montage music started playing.
They went to Soos's house, where a groggy Abuelita pointed towards where she saw the bear head off to after it took a chomp out of her sofa. One round of cookies later, the group was back on the trail.
Next was the Valentino Funeral Home, where Greg and Janice spoke about how Mr. SnuggleLots made their night. Not too long ago, one of the buried corpses rose out of the ground as a zombie, only to have the tux it was buried in torn off and devoured by the tiny menace. The zombie was so embarrassed that it sank right back into its coffin and never rose up again. Mabel slipped a spare cookie underneath the door to Robbie's room before returning to the scarf-line and heading out.
The group passed by McGucket's new mansion for a brief moment, unable to enter because of the locked gate barring them from the courtyard. They shrugged and continued past the mansion. Toby and Waddles, who were falling behind, were the only ones who spotted a crow fly over the gate easily, only for the crow to be vaporized by a red laser beam courtesy of the new security features that McGucket had installed in the front yard. Bug-eyed, traumatized, and holding knowledge that no one else will ever learn, Toby and Waddles slowly trotted away from the estate.
The Pines Twins even dared to visit the Tent of Telepathy. They didn't need to get too close though: the tent had holes everywhere. Mr. SnuggleLots had definitely been there. They slowly snuck away, slowly enough for Frisk to spot a poster announcing that the Tent of Telepathy was closed indefinitely. Well, at least nobody was inconvenienced. So why were Dipper and Mabel so spooked about approaching it...?
Each location they visited showed that Mr. SnuggleLots had stopped by. But they just couldn't seem to catch up to him.
"Maybe we should stop by Candy or Grenda's house next!" suggested Mabel.
"Absolutely not," said Dipper. "I understand that you want to get back together with them, but if we do that tonight, there's no way we'll be able to avoid them inviting you for a sleepover. And we have bigger things to worry about."
"I like the sound of a sleepover," admitted Frisk.
"Really???!!!!! Awesome!!!! I'll be sure to let Candy and Grenda know!" squealed Mabel, paying no attention to Dipper who was frantically waving his hands at Frisk and begging them to not be enticed by a sleepover with Mabel's friend group.
"Focus, children," said Toriel with a gentle huff. "I understand the want to socialize, but I would prefer to relocate this bear as quickly as possible. I need to be back at the shack before sunrise. I'm sure that tape is somewhere I haven't checked yet. Perhaps I'll check the lab next..."
Dipper's curiosity had finally had enough. He leaned forward to whisper to Frisk. "Frisk, do you have any idea what's up with your mom? She's usually so calm and down to earth, but tonight... I dunno, she just seems especially stressed. Just what is on that videotape that she's searching for so feverishly?"
"I understand your concern, and I wish I could answer your questions immediately," Frisk whispered back. "However, I would prefer that we wait until we have retrieved the Nocturnal Teddy Bear before we discuss this any further. It is rather personal."
"Well okay..." said Dipper, looking down to the snow covered ground. "I honestly don't know how much longer I can go looking for this bear's whereabouts though-"
That's when he saw it. Paw prints. Specifically, prints of paws that looked patched-on. And they lead up to...
This way to the Corduroy Cabin. Follow the signs.
A sign that gave directions to Wendy's house? But why would the paw prints lead to...
Wait...
Dipper called to the group. "Do you think Mr. SnuggleLots knows English? All this time, I assumed he didn't, based on our initial encounter."
"Maybe he was just too hungry to listen?" suggested Mabel.
Frisk nodded. "Why do you ask, Dipper?"
"Okay... this may sound extreme to everyone but Mabel. But I think Mr. SnuggleLots understands English enough to read it... and he mistook Wendy's family's home for a Fabric store."
Mabel, Frisk, and Toriel all looked to the sign that Dipper was gesturing at.
Then to the fresh trail of paw prints seemed to be doing exactly what the sign had suggested.
"FOLLOW THAT TRAIL!" announced Mabel.
"Hush!" hissed Toriel. "The town is asleep!"
"Oop, sorry Goat Mom," said Mabel meekly, before whispering, "Follow that trail!"
They had hit the jackpot. By following the signs (and the paw prints in the snow), the trio, the pets, and Toriel had managed to locate the cabin that housed Wendy and her testosterone-buzzed brothers and dad.
The first sign of trouble was that the lights were on. The second was that the sounds of war cries and glass shattering could be heard all the way from the house to where the group was standing. The third was that the front door had been jerked open, and a bewildered Wendy Corduroy was sprinting towards them, kicking up snow everywhere.
"We can explain-" started Dipper.
"Oh my god I couldn't care less about the explanation right now-" growled Wendy, her voice having an especially ragged quality to it. Dipper didn't have a lot of time to ponder that though as suddenly the redhead had an iron grip on both of his shoulders and was staring right through him with baggy eyelids and bloodshot eyes.
"Oh dear..." said Toriel in the back, Mabel and Frisk cringing as well. It appeared that all three of them had just put together why Wendy had been so drowsy lately.
Wendy croaked, "Every December, my family gets more and more fired up about the New Year, and it results in them screaming throughout the night. It does not help that Gravity Falls has its own New Year that ignores the yearly calendar. Long story short, I haven't slept in six days you guys."
A gasp was shared by all who were capable of doing so.
"And that- that- that toy freak in there???" continued the delirious Wendy, raising a trembling hand and pointing behind her to her home. "NOT HELPING MATTERS!"
"I am so sorry that you've had to deal with this," said Toriel. "I promise you, that bear will be out of your home before sunrise."
"Oh jeez, is that you, Toriel?" said Wendy, her vision finally clearing from the tired rage. Her cheeks flushed with massive embarrassment and she scratched the back of her head. "Did- did I just shout right in your face? I am so sorry, I didn't... mmm- mmmmmean to..." Wendy suddenly arched back and gave a massive yawn. The three children winced, realizing how tired she must have been for the past few days.
"You've been deprived of sleep. It's more than understandable that you would be cranky," said Toriel gently.
"I dunno if we'll be able to help with Wendy's personal conundrum," pondered Frisk.
"We can try to, once we have Mr. SnuggleLots back!" said Mabel proudly, before suddenly shrinking and asking nervously. "How um... how is your family dealing with his intrusion?"
"Meh, the same way they handle any other bear that invades our property," explained Wendy. "With violence. And probably rifles."
The change in Mabel's velocity was so intense that the scarf was torn in two as she charged towards the house, howling with worry.
"Wait," said Wendy, suddenly noticing the scarf. "Is that Papyrus's-"
"Explanation afterwords, right?!" said Dipper, frantically taking the scarf off of Frisk so he could don the other half of the scarf by himself. "Come on Frisk, we need to catch her before she rips someone's ear off!"
"Affirmative!" nodded Frisk, following Dipper as he sprinted toward the cabin, leaving Wendy and Toriel out in the snow.
An awkward silence befell on the two of them.
"Um.............. Aren't you going to follow them?" asked Toriel.
Much to Toriel's alarm, Wendy let out a snore.
"OH MY GOODNESS! WENDY YOU CAN'T FALL ASLEEP OUT HERE, YOU'LL FREEZE!!!"
In a panic, Toriel hoisted Wendy up. With the pets following close behind, Toriel quickly carried Wendy back into the noisy, but warm, cabin.
Two figures, polar opposites of each other, were in a current face off. On one side of the room was a small animal, covered in soft fur, trembling with fear. On the other side of the room was a big animal, strapped in lumberjack work clothes, covered in red hair on his head, face, arms, and chest. He was trembling with anger and testosterone.
....aaaaaaaand a little bit of fear, to be honest.
Mr. Manly Dan wiped the sweat from his brow, regaining his focus. He had finally managed to trap the little furry menace in a corner of the living room, its plum fur not doing much to camouflage it amongst the red plaid wallpaper.
"You took a bite out of Marcus's hat, Kevin's shorts, and Gus's shirt... and then... you went for my underwear."
Mr. SnuggleLots only growled in return.
"Them's fighting words..." snarled Manly Dan. "So be it! BY MY HAND, YOU SHALL LEARN OF WHAT YOUR OWN BLOOD TASTES LIKE!"
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
Everything that followed happened in a manner of seconds.
Dan shouted in alarm as Mabel lunged onto his back and covered his eyes. The gorilla of a man flailed about wildly, making the trio of boys duck to avoid getting smacked by his meaty arms. Mr. SnuggleLots took the chance to dart out of the corner, only for Frisk to block his path. In the hallway, few feet behind Frisk, was Dipper, ready to face against Mr. SnuggleLots if he managed to get past Frisk.
Mabel and Dan continued to spin around the living room, Marcus, Gus, and Kevin all trying their best to stay away. From the entrance way appeared Toby, Waddles, and Toriel, still carrying Wendy. Toby was immediately intrigued by the space and climbed atop of the stairway rail, climbing all the way to the top of the first row of stairs to get a good vantage point. Waddles went the opposite way, hugging himself against the wall comfortably. Toriel spotted the dining room and quickly sat Wendy down in a seat at the dining room table. With all the noise going on, Wendy was soon roused from her sleep.
Mr. SnuggleLots managed to dart under Frisk's legs and latch his teeth onto their backpack. Frisk yelped, which alerted Marcus to the bear. Giving a battle cry, Marcus charged towards the bear, wrestling the back pack off of Frisk, which only made the poor child fall flat on their face. Seeing this, Mabel finally let go of Dan and ran over to the fallen child. Meanwhile, Marcus began to spin the bag around. Mr. SnuggleLots, remembering what happened last time he was spun around, let go before the momentum could grow too much. The backpack was flung in a random direction, hitting the (thankfully unlit) fireplace. With Marcus dizzy, Mr. SnuggleLots was free to escape, bolting for the hallway. Dipper, noticing the Teddy bear heading his way, readied himself. He grew a massive scowl and held the spaghetti scarf like a muleta. But in all his preparation to look threatening, Dipper forgot to remove the scarf from his neck.
Dan regained his balance with the help of Kevin and Gus, and headed outside with a growl to get some shears from the tool shed. Waddles entered the living room and spotted the now abandoned backpack near the fireplace. Toriel approached Dipper and the bear, while Toby climbed the second row of stairs out of three and gave himself a bigger vantage point- not that he was actively seeking it out- just as Mr. SnuggleLots lurched forward, bit the end of Dipper's half of the spaghetti scarf, and kept running.
Frisk, Mabel, Toriel, and Wendy watched in alarm as Dipper was yanked backwards and dragged behind Mr. SnuggleLots, who took off with the scarf still in his mouth.
-Toriel charges forward to save Dipper but just missed her mark, falling down on the floor and having right herself back up into a sitting position, leaning against the fridge in the kitchen adjacent to the hallway. Dipper was further dragged, following Mr. SnuggleLots into the bathroom at the end of the hallway. Frisk, Mabel, and Wendy collectively panicked and raced toward the bathroom. Mabel outran both of the others, Frisk making sure their mom was okay, and Wendy spotting that the boys had head into their bedroom to search for a bear trap to ensnare Mr. SnuggleLots with.
Soon after the bear had entered the bathroom, Mr. SnuggleLots started freaking out because the space was a lot smaller. He darted around the bathroom, throwing Dipper against the sink, the toilet, and the bathtub, which was when the bear finally let go of the half eaten scarf in his panic, Dipper getting shot-putted into the bathtub. Dipper spent the next few seconds just sitting there, dazed enough to not even bother righting his lopsided cap.
Mabel barged into the bathroom.
"Hey Mr. SnuggleLots! Look what I have for ya!"
Mabel waved the other half of the spaghetti scarf in her attempt to lure the bear away from Dipper and out of the bathroom. Mr. SnuggleLots took the bait, and Mabel calmly dragged him out of the bathroom. Dipper finally stopped seeing stars, and gripped his head as the headache set in. Wendy had just finished convincing the boys why a bear trap would be more danger than its worth, as Mabel passed by the bedroom doorway. Wendy realized Dipper was still in the bathroom and head over there to check on him. The boys shrugged and left the bedroom.
Waddles had been spending all this time rummaging through Frisk's backpack, unbothered by anybody. By that time, Dan returned with the shears, noticed the pig, considered dinner, but then remembered that the pig is Mabel's pet and thought against it, not wanting to be attacked by her again. He entered the hallway, ready to tear that bear into ribbons with the shears. At that point nearly everyone else was in the hallway, which meant that Frisk and Mabel got a perfect view of the rusty shears that Dan was holding. They both gasp, Mabel's shock giving her hand enough slack for Mr. SnuggleLots to snatch the scarf out of Mabel's hand and eat it happily, the rest of the Corduroys surrounding him cautiously while Dan was forced into a heated discussion spearheaded by Frisk and Mabel as to why the bear shouldn't be harmed. It was at this point that Toby spotted Waddles, who was still playing around with Frisk's backpack.
Toby leapt onto Mabel's head, then Frisk's, then lunged at Dan's face, hitting him with enough force that he dropped the shears and tilted backwards, falling down on the floor with a thud. Frisk quickly grabbed the shears and put them on the kitchen counter, away from Dan. Toriel followed Frisk as they left the kitchen to return to Mabel and Dan. Toby finally leapt off of Dan and bolted for the back pack, the pets now in a tug of war. Wendy and Dipper exited the bathroom, encountering the boys and the bear. The bear, who was still surrounded, payed no mind and finished eating Mabel's portion of the scarf, swallowing it, and looking very much stuffed. He gave everyone a very cute smile, and Mabel noticed he was finally acting like a Teddy bear. It made no attempts to bolt.
That's when the bear was grabbed by the throat, and lifted from the ground by a meaty hand. It was Dan, who had gotten back up. "Got you!"
There was the sound of something ripping.
For a second, a collective panic swarmed through the group, worried that Mr. SnuggleLots had torn himself open in his attempt to get out of Dan's grip. But he was fine and unharmed.
The group turned to look at Toby and Waddles, who had gone silent. The backpack had been ripped open, its contents flying through the air like candy from a pinata. One giant object, rectangular in shape, caught the eyes of Toriel and Frisk. It hit the floor hard enough to bounce and spin like a hamster wheel, before sliding on the floor and skidding to a halt at Toriel's feet.
There, lying motionless on the wooden floor, was a videotape.
With ear-ringing silence, Toriel reached down and picked up the tape. She flipped it to the front, and read the title that was written on it in faded crayon. She read it a second time. A third time.
"Frisk Dreemurr..." said Toriel with a disturbingly calm voice. "What was this tape doing in your bag? Did you put it in there?"
"M-Mom I-"
"Just answer the question," snapped Toriel. "Were you the one who put this videotape in your bag? Yes or no?"
"Yes..."
"Did you do so, knowing that I was looking for it?"
"......."
"Frisk."
"Yes... Yes Mother, I did."
The room was silent.
"...I am disappointed in you, Frisk. Severely disappointed. Not to mention angry. You should not steal anything, from anyone, period. But to think that you would deliberately try and hide this videotape from me..."
Toriel caught herself, realizing she was slipping. She breathed in.........she breathed out. In........... and out.
Suddenly, a hand was gently wrapped around Toriel's shoulder. It belonged to Wendy.
"Listen um... My bedroom, it... it has a TV and VCR. I know it might be a little odd but... you've clearly spent all day and night looking for this tape and wanting to watch whatever is on it. So... why don't you go on up to my room and watch it? It'll... give you and the rest of us some time to mull things over."
Toriel looked ready to argue, but after a tense couple of seconds, she sighed and deflated. "Some solitude would do me well right now, I suppose..."
She took Wendy's hand in her paws in a silent display of gratitude before letting go, picking up the videotape once again and heading for the staircase. She paused after climbing the first step. The room went quiet again.
"You are by no means off the hook, little one. We will talk once this is all over."
"Yes, Mother."
Then, she climbed up the stairs, vanishing from everyone's line of sight.
Dipper fidgeted with his hands. We was never good at handling the pressure of only being a bystander during a very tense encounter.
Wendy let out a deep sigh, no doubt wishing that this night wasn't so... eventful.
Mabel looked to Frisk with worry. Their hair was casting a shadow over their eyes, and their hands were hanging loosely at their side. Mabel frowned, wanting to help, but not knowing how to. She thought back to when she was younger, when Dipper would come home crying because the bullies at the park found him again, how all she had to do was invite him to her Teddy bear tea party as a guest...
...!
Just as Mabel had begun to come to a realization, Mr. SnuggleLots had gotten sick and tired of being held by the neck so firmly.
CHOMP!
"YYYYYYOW!!!" hollered Dan, letting go of the bear to waggle his hand and stave off the pain from having his index finger being bitten into by a bear cub. "Noooooooo come on! I finally had him! BOYS! GET HI-"
Mabel spoke without thinking. "MR. SNUGGLELOTS, I TOLD YOU TO BRING A BIB WITH YOU TO THE TEA PARTY! WHERE IS IT?!"
Everyone, Teddy bear included, froze in their tracks. Mr. SnuggleLots looked up to Mabel, his cute beady eyes expressing pure, non-artificial confusion.
"Rule number five hundred and sixty eight of Mabel's Rehabiliteddy Program™!" barked Mabel, pointing at the stupefied stuffed animal. "Any and all critters that are invited to partake in Mabel's Complimentary Tea Party must bring their own bib! To forget one is poor hospitality! What do you have to say for yourself!?"
At the bear's obvious silence, Mabel looked to the others for support, hands outward in an utter display of 'Just play along!!!'
Frisk was silent, but their head lifted up slightly. They appeared to be curious.
As the Corduroys whispered to each other, Dipper walked right up to Mabel.
"You agree, don't you bro???" said Mabel, jokingly - but also rather forcefully and painfully - elbowing her brother in the side.
"Owwwww..." groaned Dipper, rubbing the spot that got jabbed. "Mabel, are you seriously trying to have a tea party with a bear that only eats sheets and clothing? Furthermore, you're trying to convince Wendy's family to host this tea party?? Are you out of your mind???"
"Just hear me out," said Mabel, whispering in Dipper's ear. "I just remembered that point where you suggested that Mr. SnuggleLots might be able to read, and I thought 'heh, well that doesn't seem very bearish of him!' and then, the clouds parted."
"Mabel, what are you talking about." said Dipper flatly.
"All this time, we've been treating this Teddy bear as, well, a regular bear. And I think we just assumed that that was typical behavior for him. But look at him now!"
The kids glanced over to Mr. SnuggleLots. He was sucking on his paw and looking around the room with interest.
"Doesn't he seem a lot more Teddy bearish to you???" concluded Mabel.
"Huh.... yeah, I think I see what you're getting at," said Dipper, starting to follow Mabel's train of thought. "You think we should approach him as the Teddy bear he is, and have a tea party with him. Am I on the right track here?"
"Right track, right train, right everything!" said Mabel, proudly patting Dipper on the back. Dipper smiled without realizing it.
He quickly regained his focus. "But even if that's the case, there's no way that Daniel Corduroy, the same Daniel Corduroy that snapped a tree in half by punching it, is going to let you host a tea party inside his h-"
"So what're you kids thinking?" boomed Manly Dan, stepping in the middle of the discussion. "Chamomile or Oolong?"
The twins looked up to see that in his hands were two different boxes of tea flavors.
"Huh....?" said Dipper in a stupor.
"You got any Candyleaf?" replied Mabel.
"BOYS!" shouted Dan to Marcus, Kevin, and Gus, all three in the living room. "GET TO THE CONVENIENCE STORE AND GET YOUR DAD SOME CANDYLEAF TEA! BE BACK IN TEN MINUTES, OR NONE OF YOU ARE ALLOWED TO GO OUT HUNTING TOMORROW!"
"YES DAD!" screamed the boys in unison, scrambling out the door.
"Huh?!" said Dipper.
"Hey Dipper Kid," boomed Manly Dan, getting up in Dipper's face. "You still haven't told me what you want."
"I- I don't-"
"Whaddya mean you don't?! You don't drink tea?! Well young man, in this house, you don't get to abstain from drinking tea! Now pick a flavor, or I'll pick one FOR YOU, AND I'LL MAKE IT AS SCALDING AND AS TASTELESS AS POSSIBLE!!! YOU DON'T WANT THAT, DO YOU?!"
"Just pick one, Dipper," said Mabel, putting her hand on her brother's shoulder.
"Ummmm..." mulled Dipper. "Oo-...Oolong...? I guess...?"
"Good choice," said Dan and Mabel together, with Dan adding, "I'll fire up the kettle!"
"Mabel what is happening right now," sputtered Dipper. The poor boy was certain that he was losing his mind.
"I don't know honestly!" said Mabel laughing. "But I like it!"
"We'll talk about it later," said Wendy, walking up to the pair with Frisk close behind her. "Right now, we gotta focus on setting the dining room up for a round of tea."
"Right!" said Mabel enthusiastically.
"Dipper, Frisk, you're helping out too," instructed Wendy.
"Of course," said Dipper and Frisk with a nod.

You don't have to answer this if you don't want to but what's up with the Courtney Love controversy? Why are people accusing her of manipulation or whatever? I'm totally new to this discussion
hey darling!! no worries, I love discussing Kurt & Court bc theyre my surrogate parents and they emotionally raised me when I had a difficult relationship w my Mom and Dad, plus I’m named after Kurt and he’s part of the reason I realized my ~gender~, so needless to say I have a surplus of information on them. Plus their music fucks. anyways, this is gonna be a masterpost-
my credentials(sources I have taken my information and formed my opinion on Kurt & Court’s relationship from if u need to look into them):
-Heavier Than Heaven(Book by Charles Cross, authorized by Kurt’s estate. Charles Cross is a well known grunge/music historian and has literally devoted his life to researching and writing rockstar biographies, including several on Nirvana. One of my favorite books ever.)
- Montage Of Heck(Documentary on Kurt’s life. Produced by his daughter, Frances. I have some heavy criticisms of this film and of the interviews in it, but it does have some reflections on Kurt and Courtney’s relationship that I think are important.)
- Hit So Hard(a documentary on Hole’s drummer, Patty Schemel. Minor discussions of Kurt and Kurt and Courtney.)
- Verse Chorus Verse(Fan-made documentary series on Kurt’s life, widely regarded by Nirvana fans the most in depth play-by-play biography that exists- and it’s free on YouTube, which is lit.)
sources I don’t pull from, but many younger Nirvana fans do(the people who buy into the conspiracies generally):
Kurt and Courtney- A documentary made in the late 90’s under the guise of biography, but is actually about the conspiracy theory that Courtney killed Kurt. I saw it when I was a new fan and I literally laughed out loud from how apeshit it was.
Soaked In Bleach- ‘Biopic’ about Courtney killing Kurt. I haven’t seen it but straight men who think Courtney is ugly take it more seriously than the Bible. Very little truth ever goes into these theories, besides maybe names and dates.
Anything Hank Harrison(Courtney’s father) has to say- He wrote a book on the subject. He also gave her acid and lost custody of her when she was three years old. He’s a shit parent and I doubt he’s actually seen his daughter since the 80’s.
Anything Buzz Osborne(Kurt’s friend, singer for the Melvins, a band Kurt looked up to in Montesano) says- I think Buzz’s opinion is taken way too seriously by a lot of the fan base, I read an interview of his criticizing Montage Of Heck because Kurt ‘didn’t really have a stomach disease’ and was just lying about it to get high, and also about how he hated having to see Courtney naked, and made a good long point about how disgusting her body is. IOn top of all that(none of which really has to do with critiquing the film...?), he mocked Kurt and called him a loser for committing suicide. I don’t care what your opinion on his stomach, his wife, or his music is, that shit is callous and idiotic, but totally reflective of the 70’s and 80’s mentality regarding the mentally ill. He’s part of the legion of pretentious punk dudes who *kind of* knew Kurt, who think Courtney’s the one who ‘corrupted’ him, which brings me around to answering your question.
So, there’s this idea regarding Kurt and Courtney’s relationship, which is pretty similar to the one surrounding Sid and Nancy’s(or at least used to.) Courtney is the whiny, annoying, petulant bitch who attached herself to the first trophy she could find, and through her terrible manipulative personality kept him with her and kept him from getting better. In this mode of thinking, She’s also the person who ‘started’ him on drugs, and in a few people’s eyes, the person who ‘forced’ him to have Frances.
The reality of the situation, as I see it, as someone who’s gone to pretty decent lengths to inform themselves on the subject, is that Kurt and Courtney’s relationship was toxic: But the toxicity was mutual. This doesn’t mean they were a “problematic” couple, or that they were abusing each other, or even that either one of them was ‘evil’, it means that they fell deeply in love as young trauma survivors with substance abuse issues and huge ambitions. That’s a lot to put on any relationship and it’s a lot to talk about, so I’m gonna split this into categories of complaints that you’ll hear pretty routinely as a new Nirvana/Hole fan.
1. “She got him into drugs!”
Courtney started on heroin in the late 80’s in L.A., when she was still playing with Sugar Baby Doll(her band with Jennifer Finch and Kat Bjelland). Kurt, as said in Heavier Than Heaven, tried heroin for the first time around 1988-1989(I don’t remember exactly.) At the time, he was still living with(though I don’t believe they were still dating) Tracy Marander. Because he was destitute, he didn’t have enough money to start forming an actual habit until Nevermind started gaining speed, and by the time he and Courtney started dating(they met a couple of times and phoned a couple of times before cementing a relationship) he had been taking it for a while. That’s the thing I think people look over when it comes to Kurt- He was embarrassed about his addiction and he hated the physical side effects, but he loved heroin.
Courtney says in Montage Of Heck that she had both tried and kicked heroin by the time she met Kurt, but I think the Heavier Than Heaven description is probably more accurate: That she did heroin socially, and her addiction worsened after the two of them began living together because Kurt was(in her own words) ‘obsessed with oblivion.’ She also said in Montage Of Heck that his dream was to ‘Get to three million dollars and become a junkie.’ She’s stated several times that her drug problems came out of a need for ‘comfort’, and Kurt was into getting so fucked he couldn’t do anything else(also confirmed by his friend, Dylan Carlson, who was also into heroin and did it with him often.)
On top of that, Courtney was the one who orchestrated interventions for Kurt, went through the process of reviving him when he’d overdosed, and broke his syringes/scared off his dealers to try and keep drugs away from him as much as possible. At one point, she even made a rule that no drugs were to be done in the house- So he started renting motel rooms and doing them there. It was she who was the head of his final intervention before he went missing.
If anything, Courtney is the person who tried her hardest to keep drugs away from both of them. Considering how much people still talk about her doing heroin while pregnant(which occurred very early on before she was aware of her condition), Kurt is the person who struggled the most to stay off drugs during her pregnancy and after Frances’ birth, even going so far as to hide in the bathroom from her while she was struggling with morning sickness so she wouldn’t know he was getting high.
2. “She manipulated him into dating her/marrying her!”
Here’s the thing about Courtney; She is an enigmatic, entertaining, talented, maternal individual. Here’s the thing about Kurt; He’s a shy, quiet, non-confrontational guy with mommy issues. There’s been a lot of discussion on how Courtney was ‘obsessed’ with Kurt, and how she wouldn’t rest until she pinned him down: That’s untrue, or at least it reads less like crazy-bitch-steals-rock-god and more like cute-singer-has-crush-on-fellow-cute-singer. She was really into him, but when she met him she was still dating Billy Corgan, which deterred her from pursuing him until that relationship(basically) dissolved. When Kurt met her, he had just gotten out of a relationship with Tobi Vail, which most likely fell apart because she refused to be what Tracy Marander had been for him. She wasn’t interested in caring for him and she wasn’t interested in a full-time monogamous relationship. She was working too hard at her own career and was way too involved in the burgeoning riot grrrl movement to worry about looking after Kurt Cobain. That just wasn’t going to work for him.
Kurt was a big believer in the nuclear family model, he was very monogamous, and besides that he lacked the ability to physically take care of himself. If he wasn’t living with a partner who would clean up the house and remind him to wash his hair, it just didn’t happen. He was chronically ill, depressed, and he’d spent most of his adolescence AWOL from anyone who would actually raise him, so Tobi’s rejection deeply hurt him for a number of reasons- While Courtney, the opposite of Tobi in a few key ways, was exactly what he wanted. On top of looking like the archetypical punk girl, “I was attracted to her because she looked like Nancy Spungen,” she had a maternal streak (In Montage Of Heck, when he’s found sitting beside her while she cuts his hair, and, typical for people living with Kurt, mentions that she cleans the house because ‘nobody else fuckin does.’) Early on in their relationship, Kurt had a meltdown and begged Courtney to come to his apartment. She did, and looked after him the rest of the night, a pattern which would become common for them, and was stated by her half sister to be the ‘original strain on the relationship.’
Besides her mothering elements, Courtney was brassy and loud, and her presence allowed him to be less introverted and freer with himself. She was an ambitious young musician who shared a similar childhood to him, and had the same yearning for a safe home life that he did. She was well-read and artistic, and introduced him to the literary side of music creation, which he hadn’t explored yet. After spending a night on the phone with her, he went around telling everybody she was ‘the coolest girl in the world,’ and broke off another burgeoning relationship with Mary Lou Lord on live TV after spending the night with her. The famous quote, “Courtney Love is the best fuck in the world.” is in fact real. And yeah, he could’ve handled that one better.
The attraction was mutual, and I find it hard to believe that Kurt was ever forced into anything romantic with her based on how well she suited his tastes.
3. “She used him for his fame/money!”
As stated above, Courtney was attracted to Kurt before Nevermind was even recorded, and if she wanted to marry a famous dude right out the gate, at the time they met there were plenty of people who were way more famous than Kurt. In Heavier Than Heaven she mentions really liking their song “Dive,” and later in life she mentioned hearing “Sliver” and being impressed with Kurt’s writing abilities. Both of those songs were released a solid two years before Nevermind. She was interested in Kurt because he was cute and talented and she was savvy in the music scene, meaning that she kept up with underground bands.
Now, a point of contention between Kurt & Courtney was their different attitudes towards fame. That is entirely true. Courtney wanted to be famous, enjoyed celebrity, loved attention, and could handle touring, press, and the craziness of success. She was very charismatic, very physically strong, and let’s face it, definitely an attention whore. Kurt liked being praised, he liked being successful, and he definitely had a thing for attention- But he hated pressure, he had inferiority issues, he didn’t know how to handle his life being pried into all the time, and he wasn’t strong enough to do massive tours. Courtney just didn’t understand that, which is pretty common if someone doesn’t share your same mental illness/physical illness: Touring hurt Kurt’s stomach, it worsened his anxiety and emotional instability, it wore his body out, it didn’t agree with him. He loved playing live but couldn’t handle the mania or the travelling, meaning he didn’t mind blowing off huge tours that would bring in loads of money. Courtney, who did feel envious and intimidated regarding his success, would get angry at him for that- She didn’t want him to blow off massive paychecks and press coverage because it’s not what she would’ve done. I definitely side with Kurt on this, nothing is more frightening and frustrating than people trying to force you to do things you can’t handle health-wise. Courtney, being naturally business-oriented, was also aware of how things appeared to the public, and definitely cared about their image more than Kurt did- One of their fights revolved around her nagging him about how important the “Heart-Shaped Box” music video would be for him, and how he should look good. He reacted by stubbing out a cigarette on his forehead and saying, “Do I look fucking good enough for you now?”
So yeah, Courtney, like a lot of people in Kurt’s life, was all about furthering his career and success. A lot of people read that as her being money-hungry or manipulative, in my opinion it’s just a natural response from a person who’s spent their whole life trying to be a success and wouldn’t really get there until 1994. I think some of it was envy and I think some of it was her using him a little vicariously, neither of which are healthy but neither of which are malicious, either. She wanted to be a rockstar, she was ready to be a rockstar, she wasn’t; He thought he’d wanted to be a rockstar, he didn’t really want to, he was.
4. “She emotionally abused him!”
I hate to say this because I love Kurt so much but, as someone who’s been through a codependent relationship where they were bailing water out of a sinking boat, Kurt’s behavior throughout their marriage set off way more red flags for me than Courtney’s did. I don’t think he was actually abusive, but I do think he was a little too underdeveloped and unresolved to be married to someone. He had to grow up slower than everyone else because he missed out on having concrete mature influences, which Courtney did as well, and like I said earlier I think a lot of their problems came through a lack of adult communication skills. Both of them were really jealous people: Courtney couldn’t stand Kurt talking about Mary Lou Lord or Tobi Vail, Kurt was completely convinced that Courtney was cheating on him with Billy Corgan(even going so far as to talk to their lawyer about a divorce shortly before he died.) This was the catalyst for a lot of mind games and unnecessary drama, especially coming from Kurt.
Kurt couldn’t handle conflict. He was really passive aggressive, and would do things to purposely piss Courtney off or communicate to her that he was displeased. While she was trying to stay clean he would declare that he was going to do drugs in the apartment, when she started talking to a psychic to help her with her problems he mocked her and put her down, when she staged his final intervention his entire argument against rehab was that she was just as ‘fucked up’ as he was(she had already agreed to go into rehab, though whether he was aware of this or not I’m not sure.) He made his first suicide attempt by overdosing on Rohypnol on their wedding anniversary because she took some pills and fell asleep and he decided that meant she wasn’t interested in him anymore. I’m not arguing that that’s an irrational response to your partner getting stoned and falling asleep, especially when he’d apparently set the night up to be as romantic as possible, but the overdose put him in a coma and sent Courtney into hysterics.
Her mental health began to decline due to paranoia that he’d end up dead, and her weight dropped due to the added stress. As someone who’s been through a pretty similar situation to that and exhibited the same symptoms, I can tell you that it is never okay to use a suicide attempt to deal with a perceived injustice from your partner. By this time, Kurt was facing either getting clean or dying, and his behavior was very depressed and erratic, so there are explanations for the way he was acting and I don’t think he was trying to manipulate her with a threat. Despite my understanding of that, there is nothing more exhausting than being the caretaker of someone who is hellbent on never getting better. I can’t imagine being the caretaker of someone who won’t stop until they’re dead, and I do think at that point it would’ve been better for them to separate.
But that isn’t to say Courtney wasn’t toxic herself, I’m not trying to paint a wholly negative image of Kurt here. I’m merely trying to stand in the way of Nirvana fanboys who have no grasp on the more sickly sides of his personality, and give Court a bit of a break. Definitely, she struggled with her jealousy: As stated, she never wanted his ex girlfriends mentioned around her and would tear them apart if they were. She was ambitious and career driven, which eroded a lot of her platonic relationships/working relationships as well her marriage to Kurt. She was one of the people who was pushing him to recover in time to play Lollapalooza, and she was one of the people who pushed him into his last stunted tour before his death. She weaponized his relationship with Frances in ways that I and most people agree are gross: She told him he should be playing massive gigs to support his daughter(though their medical and legal bills were big they were hardly poverty stricken), and admitted in an interview later that she called him in rehab once to tell him he’d dropped Frances on her head(She mentioned during this that Frances was wearing a furry hood, and that he didn’t hurt her. In my opinion he was doing his best by even trying rehab again, and that he was already so worried that he was a terrible father that it was just cruel to make him feel worse.)
She has a tendency to be self-obsessed, and to put her own self interest before people she cares about, even if she regrets it later. She struggles herself with mental illness and addiction, both of which tend to give a person poor judgment regarding the people they care about.
Once again, Courtney and Kurt weren’t a healthy couple, but it wasn’t because they were evil or abusive towards one another. They cared for each other deeply, they had a very pure devotion. Underlying all this nastiness were two people who prayed together, wrote together, fantasized about a Valentine’s Day wedding, and faxed each other R-rated love letters like modern versions of James Joyce and Nora Barnacle. During one of his more successful stints in rehab, Kurt wrote Courtney love letters every night(though he did decorate them with blood, wax, and semen.)
They had some serious therapy they needed to attend, the both of them. But 90% of these demonizations of Courtney are either untrue or blown out of proportion.
#aberdeen spoken word#ik this runs on so much but i love talking abt this shit and i didnt#want to spend tomorrow editing bc i have other shit i need to do so#have a basically unedited essay on my parents fndndfn

Tanaka + kouhais, congrats on 50 followers
Got a little carried away hehe. here ya go leo!Word Count: 1244---
“Tanaka-senpai?” Hinata began, face pinched in what Ryuu could only guess was whatever deep thoughts plagued Hinata’s mind.
“Yeah?”
“Do you think that… Oh, it’s probably stupid. Nevermind.” Hinata looked down at the ground, his whole body drooping with it.
“Course not! If it’s buggin’ ya, it’s probably pretty important. Besides, even if it is stupid, I’ll still listen anyway.” Ryuu smiled, face-splitting and genuine.
“Um, it’s just that… Well, Bakeyama always gets so many confessions! Stingyshima too! And they always say no! But because they’re tall and a little bit attractive, the girls still all fawn over them!”
“I know what you mean, little man,” Ryuu said, closing his eyes as he placed a hand over his chest. Over-the-top, sure, but it wasn’t like Ryuu was exactly trying to be.
“No way! You’re so cool! You’re the future ace! I bet you get confessions all the time!” Hinata eagerly matched Ryuu’s enthusiasm, swinging his arms wildly around.
“I wish. Bald guys aren’t exactly the top of anybody’s list…”
“Your hair is so cool! Like, BAM!!” Hinata insisted, smoothing his wild orange hair down as best as he could. “Besides, Stingyshima’s hair is only a little longer than yours.”
“I guess that’s true. Well, anyway, this is about you! Don’t worry about how much attention you’re getting from the girls. You and Yachi are super close, right? What matters is the depth of your relationship, not how many you have. One genuine friend is way better than a hundred confessions!”
“You’re so wise Tanaka-senpai!” Hinata cheered.
“Well of course I am! Call me senpai again!”
“Tanaka-senpai!”
“Hell yeah! Popsicles after practice!”
“Woo! Tanaka-senpai is the best!”
---
Tsukishima didn’t normally do things like this. It was jarring to see him, mild flush on his cheeks, bowing out of politeness, especially for Ryuu. Sure, the two occasionally got along, but mostly when there was a more irritating target for them to verbally harass. Most days saw the blond beanpole mocking Ryuu for his enthusiasm.
“Tanaka… senpai,” Tsukishima said, lifting from his bow. “I would… like to go to Sakanoshita after practice. As thanks for helping me with my blocks.”
Ryuu could cry. He felt the tears welling up in his eyes, furiously rubbing at them so as not to start bawling in front of his… well, ‘adorable kouhai’ didn’t quite match the one-hundred-ninety-centimeter salt shaker before him, but Tsukishima at least looked nicer when he wasn’t insulting everyone within a thirty-foot radius.
“Hell yeah, Tsukishima!” Ryuu exclaimed, reigning in the overwhelming flood of emotions. The other boy flinched, a scowl briefly crossing his features.
“Try not to yell,” Tsukishima said, though he sounded incredibly doubtful as to whether Ryuu could manage that.
“Sure thing!” Ryuu said, flashing a thumbs-up.
Despite agreeing to be quiet, Ryuu was quite loud as he led the blond down to the shop, talking animatedly about how much the other boy had improved in blocks. Tsukishima didn’t say much of anything, though his ears were tipped with pink the whole time Ryuu complimented him.
When they finally reached Sakanoshita, Ryuu bought him a popsicle despite his protests.
“I’m supposed to be showing my appreciation,” Tsukishima said, still holding his wallet open. Ryuu waved him off.
“A good senpai always pays! Don’t worry about it all.”
“Whatever. Thank you,” Tsukishima said, not quite looking at Ryuu when he said it. Maybe ‘adorable’ didn’t quite fit Tsukishima, but Ryuu might settle for endearing, or at the very least, tolerable, when he tried.
---
Kageyama quietly studied his hands on the bench, expression unnecessarily intense like it tended to be. Ryuu jogged over to him, clapping him on the back probably too harshly.
“Wow Kageyama, ya tryna burn a hole through your hands?” Kageyama startled briefly, looking up at Ryuu instead of his hands.
“What? No, of course not. I couldn’t play volleyball if that happened.” Ryuu could tell by the furrow of his brows that Kageyama was being genuine.
“That’s not— You know what, nevermind. Why are you lookin’ at your hands?”
“I have a hangnail. It’s really bothersome.” He was back to looking at his hands, and Ryuu noticed that his middle finger passed over his index a few times, likely pulling at the hangnail.
Ryuu sighed. “Just put some tape over it if it’s botherin’ ya.”
“Why would I do that? It’s just gonna make tossing the ball even harder.”
“Its tape! You can’t possibly notice that much of a difference!”
“I can,” Kageyama insisted.
“Fine. What can I do to help?”
“I didn’t ask for help,” Kageyama said.
“I’m offerin’, goober. Is there anything you need help with?”
“Well, if you could, I’d appreciate it if you told Tsukishima to stop half-assing his jumps. He doesn’t listen to me.”
“And you think he’ll listen to me?”
“Um. Maybe not.”
Ryuu shook his head. “Besides, I was offering help with your hangnail problem.”
“Oh. Well, you can’t help with that. Just gotta wait until it goes away.”
“Maybe if you called me your favorite senpai, you’d feel better,” Ryuu said.
“Sugawara said I could only call him my favorite.”
“What?! Jeez, say it anyway!”
“Alright. Tanaka, you’re my favorite senpai.”
“Woo! Do you want a popsicle after practice?”
“Sugawara alre—”
“Damn you Suga!” Ryuu yelled, pushing up his sleeve as he turned to face the silver-haired setter.
Sugawara just snickered, hiding his smirk very poorly behind his hand. “Sorry, Tanaka. Looks like I’m the better senpai today,” he said, winking. Ryuu was going to aim a spike right for the stupid mole under his eye.
“Get back to practice!” Daichi yelled, and the other boys jumped up quickly, returning to the court to avoid Daichi’s wrath.
---
Yamaguchi’s tenacity was admirable. Ryuu knew he practiced serves more often than anyone else at practice, eyes uncharacteristically intense and focused. He also knew it took quite a bit to put up with Tsukishima as often as he did, though it was possible Yamaguchi actually liked the bastard so he didn’t mind as much as everyone else on the team did.
“Yama-yama! Aren’t you tired of practicing?” Ryuu asked, already beginning to toss the stray volleyballs from his practice into the cart.
“Oh, is it already time to go?” Yamaguchi asked, gripping the ball a bit tighter.
“Well, I’m closing up tonight, so I’ll hang around if you wanna stay a bit later. I’ve got nowhere to be.” Not exactly true, as he had a project he really ought to get started on due next week.
“Only if it’s not a bother.”
“Just help me clean up after and you’re all good!”
Yamaguchi nodded resolutely before turning back to the net, breathing in deeply to regain his focus.
Ryuu continued cleaning up while Yamaguchi practiced, whistling to himself cheerily to help the time go by faster. He was just pulling the brooms out of the closet when Yamaguchi shouted.
“Woo! I got it! Tanaka-senpai! I hit all the bottles!”
Ryuu peeked curiously past Yamaguchi to see all the water bottles knocked on their side.
“Damn, you’re crazy! I don’t even think that pretty boy from Seijoh’s got that kind of accuracy!”
Yamaguchi flushed bright red at that. “That’s way too much! I’m not even close to Oikawa’s ability!”
“Hell yeah, you are! Do you want a popsicle from your coolest senpai ever to celebrate?”
“I don’t want to impose—”
“No worries at all! My treat!”
“Are you sure?”
“Totally! Gotta keep Karasuno’s number one pinch server happy!”
“Tanaka,” Yamaguchi groaned, hiding his face in his hands.
“Hahaha! Let’s hurry and clean up so we can go!”
“Okay,” Yamaguchi said, before starting to the other side of the court to begin picking up the volleyballs he’d sent over.
Yamaguchi made sure to thank Ryuu profusely for letting him stay at the gym, and later, for buying him a popsicle despite it being the only one left. Ryuu wasn’t even all that upset when he didn’t get to have one, much too preoccupied with just how happy Yamaguchi seemed to be at the small gesture.
“You’re a really great senpai, Tanaka,” Yamaguchi said, quiet enough to barely be heard. Ryuu doubted he’d ever go a full day without crying about how incredible his kouhai were.
“W-wait! Don’t cry, Tanaka-senpai!”
“I’m just so happy! You’re the best!”

Akaashi’s x Reader *s/o being too self conscious*
I messed up w an Inbox request again tf. Well, this girl had asked me to write an imagine in which Akaashi’s s/o is is sorta shy, lacks self confidence, is extremely body conscious buttttt,,, our boi gives her a reason to cease doubting herself!
I hope you enjoy anon;))
ps. not my art
...
“Y/n.. y/n; are you even listening?” These words are enough to snap me out. In realization, my eyes dart across the road. We had already reached to my apartment. I look at Akaashi as we cross the road; it’s almost unbelievable to see someone so calm and composed while I’ve millions of thoughts running in my head.
We hadn’t even held hands during the 20 minutes whole walk. I see him fiddling with his fingers in my peripheral view, yet bearing his expressions as poised as ever. In reflex, I quickly let go of my stiff posture and go for his hand while he’s taken aback.
It was already past 10pm when Akaashi and Bokuto at last decided to stop the practice, while everyone else had left 3 hours prior. Not that it matters; after what had happened today- I didn’t want to leave my boyfriend’s side. He makes me feel safe and accepted, thus, with no willingness to breakdown, I ended up bunking the remaining school hours and crashing at the gym; watching the team play. At my sight, Akaashi immediately came to inquire what was I doing in the gym; without giving any specifics or bothering him much, I just said that I wanted to be around him- for some reason and he should continue his practice. Again, no specifics.
Once in the building, our trip in the elevator was pretty awkward, Akaashi didn’t once glance away from his phone, furiously tapping his fingers on the screen, while I just stood there silently. A part of me told me that I should approach to him but I didn’t. What if he shouts at me, or just leaves me and walks away? Moreover, plans for tonight were decided since weeks, I have no intentions to butcher this. My parents are away, thus it won’t be much of an issue, as it was the last time when they had met my boy the first time. I chuckle at my thoughts, grabbing Keiji’s full attention now.
“I asked you for the keys.” He says blandly. Did he just repeat himself since I was zoned out? I fumble for my bag, take out the keys and hand over to him. Upon opening, I walk ahead, switching on the lights as he closes the door behind me.
“I was plannin’ on coming home early and cook your fav’ boiled rapeseed plants with karashi mustard dressing, but now we-” abruptly a hand placed on my waist turns me around and a kiss is planted on my forehead. Akaashi holds me tight to his chest as he hugs me. Drowned in oblivion, I couldn’t comprehend a thing.
“You’re precious to me and I’ll do anything to.. Keep you happy. Or even protect you. Or help you. But you- you need to open up more. Something’s wrong, isn’t it? And you are acting unusual. I’ve waited for two days for you to pour it out, but don’t mistake my silence for my ignorance baby.”
Wait. what.
That’s when I notice how much he had to lean to hug my petit self. Why do I have to be so tiny? My hair aren’t perfect, I don’t get the best of the grades, he never saw me more than a good friend until last Christmas, I’m not popular, I don’t have the sexiest figure and-
And everything that those girls, his classmates, blabbered about me in the washroom is true. Even when I stood up for myself, for the first time since the last week when the nasty rumours started, I was just shoved off after being called a ‘skank’ and a ‘liar’ by the whole gang.
How pathetic.
“Why do you love me?” I manage to speak in the midst of getting choked on my tears.
I feel him smile slightly against my frizzy hair, “Well, to be honest, I’m not quite sure why. But maybe, it did start when you were talking with trees in my backyard after a stormy night a few years back, or when you experimented with some dumb egg mask which left an obnoxious sting along with some shine I guess. And-”
“Akaashi. I’m not joking. I’m feeling-”
“Miserable. Worthless. Sad. Lost?” Pause. “Bokuto told me, I know what my classmates bullshitted outside the girl’s washroom. Them cornering you and everything while I wasn’t around; that’s when Bokuto stepped in, didn’t he?”
Why the hell did Bokuto- this is not how I-
“I didn’t want to bother you.” I reply. He lets go of the hug and strides towards the couch to sit. I shrug off, about to sneak away in my room or something when he says, “We are having a talk young lady.”
“Stop acting like my dad.”
“Oh, am I not?” The fuck- I start blushing like crazy all of the sudden, when he sighs.
“I’m not even fully aware of these stupid rumours those girls have come up, probably with to pass their time. All I know from Bokuto is that one of them isn’t pleased by your presence in my life. Simply speaking, it pisses her off. It’s not like her opinion really matters to any of us, we both know that her calling you names and saying stuff-”
I interrupt him. “AKAASHI. YOU THINK I DON’T KNOW WHATEVER YOU ARE EXPLAINING TO ME? I know her verbal diarrhea won’t mess up your feelings, or-or what we have, but- but it triggers immense self-doubt in me. Those bitches told me to ‘get a life’ while those jerks can’t even get a decent wardrobe for themselves. Something like- I never saw you more than a friend until you gained popularity and- They made me feel worthless, that you don’t deserve some spindle-shank like me-”
“Pfftt~ spindle-shank? Vocab of the day hun’; but where did that come from? Do you think I’m not aware of your anxiety and nervousness. I see it all, your long stares at the ground while you are uncomfortable, or spacing out; even those silent conversations you have with yourself a lot, which the team thinks are creepy. But- when I asked you out, I’d already accepted you with all of your traits, good and bad, from the most weird to the coolest.”
He walks to me, holds my hands and continues, “If you didn’t notice, you just burned the shit out of those chicks while yelping about their nonsense. So you even pass the ‘funny’ category I suppose. Your body and mind, I’ve accepted everything and I want you to love and understand yourself the same way. You aren’t a bother to me, you’re the only one whose crap I love the most to handle.” That’s when you start laughing hysterically.
“What!?? Oh my-”
“No wait you wanna know more?” He suddenly lifts me in bridal style, “See I can lift you, your thinness has its own perks!” I slap him on his shoulder while he continues, “You bring the best in me. Your parents do the best, because of you. Your best friends are surviving, basically- because of you. Bokuto has started getting serious about his studies- because- I guess you told him that you’ll help him talk with his crush or something? Wait-”
This makes me laugh even harder and I just nod in response. He swirls me around the living room and at last places me on the couch, “The point is you’re fucking precious. Start acknowledging the fact that you keep people going- you keep me going. You’re not just something that happened to me but also a part of me. So fuck those unnecesary commentary. They are the ones who need to get a life- and - probably.. A wardrobe too.”
The speech was definitely touching, or more like ENCOURAGING. How does this fool knows me so well? While I brush my fingers on his neck, he kneels down and marches in for a kiss, which lasts extremely long.
Once it breaks off, I say, “We can continue this after dinner; I’m hungry right now!”
“So- Ramen for milady?”
“Hai!!”

Kota Chapter 21: Threat
Beginning | Table of Contents | Next
Juleka knew not every pair of siblings were as close as she and Luka. Alya only seemed to mention her siblings when talking about babysitting duties, Nathaniel barely mentioned his sister at all, and Alix was still angry at Jalil over the whole "aliens built the pyramids" thing.
Still, it was hard to imagine having a sibling you didn't even tell your family about.
(Sure, her classmates were surprised that she had a brother too, but that was less of a didn't-talk-about-him and more of a didn't-talk-much-at-all situation.)
"Wait, doesn't that make him your uncle?" Rose asked. "Isn't that cool?"
"Totally. Why haven't you mentioned this before?"
"Well, you see, we had a little bit of a falling out," Anarcha explained. "We got in a fight and - anyways, I cut him off."
Luka frowned. "Was it because of..."
"Because of your dad?" Anarcha finished. "Yes. Jared has-"
"Jared?" Juleka questioned. "His real name is Jared?"
Anarcha nodded. "Jared Stone and Anna Couffaine." She smiled fondly. "We were wild as kids. There was this camp in New York we went to everyone summer - it's where he learned to play guitar - and people learned to fear us. When we were about, oh, fifteen, we started a rock band - Anarchy and Jagged Stone. And that's when I met your father."
Juleka nodded. She had heard that story before. Her father was in a band with her mom, and when they met, he was the coolest guy ever. He was seriously laid back while they were dating, and she liked him so much they eloped.
And then he changed, and ruined her life.
"Jared disliked him the moment they met," Anarcha said. "Said there was something like an aura around him. I didn't believe him. The night before we eloped, me and Jared had this big argument."
"He probably set it up," Luka noted.
"Who? Jared? He's not that smart."
"No, I mean Dad."
"That... does sound like him," Anarcha admitted. "I feel like all my friendships fell apart after we got married."
"If your argument was about dad, how come you never made up?" Juleka questioned.
Anarcha shrugged. "Don't have time. I have a houseboat to run, you two to look after - I can't just run after a teenage fantasy like that. Besides, Vivica deserves her chance in the spotlight."
"She is really cool," Juleka agreed.
"Not as cool as you two though," Anarcha countered. "Anyways, enough with the touchy feely stuff. We have a dinner to finish."
.
Mylene plopped on her bed and tucked her legs up underneath her. Ivan sat down next to her, wrapping his arms around her and pulling her in close.
"Akumas suck," Mylene eventually said.
"At least we know that Ladybug and Chat Noir will always be around to help us," Ivan replied. "And their allies."
Mylene nodded, remembering her promise to Ladybug about keeping her identity secret. Still, she found herself unable not to ask.
"What do you think of Souris Rose?"
Ivan was quiet for a moment. "I don't know. Didn't really get a chance to see her."
"Everyone else seemed to like her," Mylene whispered.
"She did save us," Ivan replied. "And being a superhero must be rough. Having to keep a secret identity like that, even from the ones you love. I'm sure whoever that is would understand, of course."
Mylene nodded. Ivan and her parents would understand.
But on the other hand, Mylene felt more and more pressure to just talk. To tell someone, anyone, about what just happened.
She had just been given a miraculous, and now she found she couldn't pretend it never happened.
Mylene looked up at Ivan. "Do you want to know a secret?"
Ivan looked at her and Mylene leaned up to his ear.
"I'm Souris Rose."
"Do you want to know a secret?" Ivan replied.
Mylene nodded.
"I knew that the second I saw you."
.
Lacy opened the fridge for the third time that night, sighing when the contents hadn't changed.
"I'll be going to the store tomorrow," her father assured her. He was sitting at the table, reviewing a French online lesson.
"That doesn't help me now," Lacy complained, closing the door again. She was starving.
Or maybe just bored. Either way she wanted food.
Lacy sighed again, leaning her head against the refrigerator. Her eyes slid shut.
"Are you asleep?"
"Didn't sleep well last night," Lacy replied. "Stupid akumas." She yawned. "And then if that wasn't enough, I had to deal with Rocker interrupting dinner."
Sleep was one thing, but Lacy had a right to eat her dinner in peace.
Grabbing a bag of chips, she headed back to the table where she had her homework laid out in front of her.
Her father reached out and grabbed her hand. "Don't worry about your homework, Squabbie. Why don't you go to bed early?"
Lacy nodded. That made sense - and nothing was due tomorrow, anyways.
"Yeah, okay."
She cleaned her books up, making sure her bag was ready to grab when she no doubt overslept in the morning.
Lacy didn't bother to change in pajamas, but she did make sure to dig out her phone and plug it in. It was only then that she noticed two voicemails.
The first one was from Sadie. Lacy couldn't help but smile as her friend ranted on about an argument her and Carter had where Walt had taken Carter's side (horrible idea). Reconnecting with her was definitely a good choice.
Besides, it's not like she could really get mixed up in her life - they were on opposites sides of the ocean.
The second voicemail, to Lacy's surprise, was from Chloe, telling her to call her back as soon as possible.
Not seeing any reason not to, Lacy called back.
"Ugh, finally," Chloe said when she picked up the video call. She was standing in her room, hair down and messy, with her closet in the background. "Started to wonder if you actually had a life."
Lacy rolled her eyes. "I do. Did you need something?"
"Fashion advice," Chloe replied. "I thought I'd get Sabrina a present, since I'm trying to apologize to everyone and I did miss her birthday this year, but I can't decide which sweater to give her. And since you're the closest thing I have to a friend with an actually decent fashion sense, I thought I'd call you."
"Alright. So which two sweaters were you debating on?"
Chloe moved her phone to show Lacy the sweaters, and Lacy could see the dilemma. One was a really nice, designer-type sweater with intricate designs. The other was simpler, a little uglier, but looked a lot more like what Sabrina liked to wear - a purple and black striped sweater.
Lacy hesitated a moment - the first one was really cute - before telling Chloe to go with the second choice.
Chloe pursed her lips. "Yeah, that's what I thought."
"Always good to get a second opinion though," Lacy said. "I'm sure she'll love it."
"She should," Chloe said. "I've spent all afternoon picking it out for her." She flicked her hair.
Lacy chuckled.
"Anyways, I'll see you in school tomorrow," Chloe said.
"See you."
Just as Lacy hung up her phone, someone knocked on her window.
Please not another akuma.
Lacy pushed herself out of her comfy bed to let Ladybug in, brightening when she saw that, instead of her miraculous, she brought treats.
"As a thank you," Ladybug said, placing them on the table.
"You didn't have to," Lacy argued weakly. Those were from the Dupain Cheng bakery, and Lacy was plenty happy having them.
Ladybug seemed to recognize it. "It's no big deal. You were a great help last night - or this morning? - and you deserve some treats."
Lacy picked up one of the macaroons from the box, noticing that Ladybug had even guessed her favorite flavor.
"Favorite bakery, favorite flavor." Lacy stuffed one in her mouth. "You are good."
Ladybug laughed. "I'm glad you like them. I have to head back on patrol, but I'll see you around."
Lacy nodded, giving her a wave as she left back out through the window.
.
"- an eighty two percent chance that Kim will win," Max read off.
"Never tell me the odds," Alix quoted, punching her fist into her hands.
Lacy exchanged exasperated looks with Nathaniel, the two trotting behind their three friends as they headed down the steps to lunch.
"Max is right," Kim taunted. "You don't have a chance."
"Watch me." Alix turned and slid down the rest of the railing, nearly knocking into another student when she landed.
Max sighed and readjusted his glasses.
Around them, the courtyard was buzzing as students headed off to lunch - some heading out, others heading towards the cafeteria. The constant motion pulled at Lacy's attention.
Out of the corner of her eye, Lacy spotted a figure.
She frowned and tapped on Nathaniel's arm. "Hey, didn't you say Marc was eating with his classmates?"
"Yeah, why?"
Lacy gestured over to the corner of the courtyard, where Marc was sitting by himself.
Nathaniel frowned.
Lacy watched him a moment. It was hard to tell from a distance, but she had a feeling that he was not alright.
Nathaniel headed his way, and Lacy followed behind.
"Marc, are you okay?"
Marc startled, blinking at them in surprise.
"I'm fine," he said. "Why?"
Lacy wasn't convinced.
"You said you were hanging with your friends," Nathaniel explained.
"Oh." Marc looked back down at his sandwich. "That... didn't work out."
Lacy watched him for a moment. There was definitely something wrong, but if he didn't want to say...
"You don't have to tell us anything you don't want to," Lacy said. "But you don't look like you want to eat alone."
"Why don't you come to the park with us?" Nathaniel suggested.
Marc perked up. "That does sound a lot better than this."
"There you guys are." Alix came up behind them. "Oh, hey Marc. Are you joining us for lunch?"
Marc nodded as he started to repack his lunch.
"Sweet! Come on, Max and Kim are waiting for us."
Marc smiled as Nathaniel helped him stand up, and the four of them headed out.
Alix paused, glanced over her shoulder, and scowled.
Lacy followed her gaze to see Lila talking with a group of students she didn't recognize.
"She already has another class wrapped around her fingers," Alix complained. "Who knows what lies she's telling them."
"I wish the school had done more," Lacy admitted. "What she did was wrong - and hurtful. And now she's going to do the same to another class."
"I have half a mind to go up to her and tell them what happened," Alix said.
"I'd like to see that."
For a second, Alix looked like she was going to, but then Kim called out to her and she deflated. Shaking her head, Alix sprinted to catch up with the rest of her friends, Lacy right behind her.
Neither noticed that Lila was watching them, too.
.
Lacy splashed the cold water onto her palms, wincing as it burned. The girl using the sink next to her winced.
"You should get that checked out by the nurse."
Lacy shrugged. "It's fine."
It was her own fault, after all. If she hadn't tried to climb up on the back of the bench to get a photo, then she wouldn't have fallen and gotten her hands scraped. A little bit of nectar would heal it up quickly, but it was such a small injury Lacy didn't think it was worth it.
Satisfied that the wounds were clean, Lacy dabbed her hands clean and moved to fixing her hair. The door swung open as the other two girls left the bathroom, and someone else walked in. Lacy finished up her braid, tossed her hair over her shoulder, and turned to leave.
And ran right into Lila.
"Lila! I didn't see you there." Lacy stumbled backwards.
Lila smiled tightly. "Obviously."
Lacy blinked. Lila looked... well, like she always did - calculating, mean, and cold.
"Well... I should head to class-"
Lila moved fast, blocking Lacy on both sides with her arms and leaning in so her breath was on Lacy's face.
"No need to rush," Lila said. "After all, I feel like I haven't talked to you since I was suspended."
"Well, we don't really have much reason to talk," Lacy replied.
"Really? Because you seemed to have plenty to say about me," Lila said. "I saw you and Alix talking about me earlier. And don't think I forgot your little outburst last week. Convincing the class that I have magic?"
Lacy wilted backwards as Lila continued to encroach on her space.
"But you do," Lacy argued weakly.
"Maybe I do," Lila agreed. "Or maybe I'm just good at manipulating people. And I don't like it when people get in my way."
"At the moment, you're in my way," Lacy replied, forcing herself to stand back up straight. She nearly collided with Lila as she did so.
"Think I'm a problem now? You should see what I can do to you. After all, Miss Bustier seems to like me more."
Lacy flinched. That struck a chord.
"Yeah, that's right," Lila continued, pushing back into Lacy's space. "After all, which one of us has a record?"
"Wha- how did you know about that?"
"Let's just say I have my ways," Lila replied. Satisfied, she backed up and flicked her hair. "Stay out of my way."
And with that, she turned and walked out of the bathroom.
Lacy stayed, too shocked to move.
What had she gotten herself into?
Lila was right - if it came between her and Lacy, Bustier would easily believe Lila first, especially since she'd been trying to be extra sweet and forgiving of Lila now. It didn't matter if the class didn't believe Lila if she managed to get Lacy in trouble anyways, or even kicked out-
Lacy did not want to switch schools again.
The school bell rang, and Lacy noticed for the first time that she was crying. Shoot. She could not go to class like that - especially if Lila was there, and could see how much her threat was affecting her, and-
Breathe. She needed to breathe.
In.
Hold.
Out.
In.
Hold.
Out.
Lacy could almost feel the anxiety around her loosen.
In. Hold. Out.
Again. And again.
Lacy turned back to the sink and splashed cold water on her face. Her eyes were red-rimmed now, but hopefully no one would notice. Especially not Lila.
Lila.
She had just charmspeaked - well, not charmspeaked, it wasn't that strong, but there was magic involved. And that magic could sway Lacy to believe anything, especially when Lila hit that nerve about her past record. But that didn't mean she could follow through on her threat.
Sure, Bustier wasn't always fair, but she was kind and lenient - Lacy doubted she would jump to conclusions. And even if the worse happened and Lacy did get in trouble - even expelled! - she would survive. Reconnecting with her friends from Brooklyn gave her a support completely not reliant on what happened at school.
And no matter what happened, Lacy knew her dad would believe her.
She was fine.
Lacy took another deep breath, splashing her face with water again. She was fine, but she still needed to get to class.
Leaning down to grab her bag off the floor, Lacy noticed something black in the corner of her vision - like a small bat or a moth or -
Akuma.
Lacy shrieked.
She pushed herself up against the wall opposite the butterfly, breath caught in her throat. But the akuma didn't fly towards her, but instead slid through the crack over the door and out of the restroom.
That was too close.
Lacy realized the akuma must have been after her originally, while she had a panic attack, but she had managed to calm down just in time.
Way too close.
Lacy collapsed on the floor, and immediately regretted it when the action reminded her how gross the bathroom floor was. Ew.
She pushed herself back up, walking over to the sinks to wash her hands, and splash water over her face again. Her heart was still pounding in her chest, and part of her was tempted to call it a day and go home.
But that would make Lila a little too happy.
The sound of concrete crumbling, and Lacy just barely moved out of the way of a jagged piece of metal coming from the ceiling.
Right. Akuma.
Lacy darted from the bathroom, nearly body-slamming into someone as she did so, and ran out into the courtyard. Around her, more and more students were being pushed out by the pieces of metal.
"I am Lockesmith. I will find the person who stole from me and lock them up!"
Metal plates jolted up from the floor, causing students to scatter.
Lockesmith jumped down from the second floor, landing in a circle of metal. She had a black leather sleeveless top with three gold strips under her left arm, and black leather leggings. She wore a dark purple fanny-bag looking thing over her right leg, and black, knee-high boots. Her hair was bright gold, and hung in a loop over her neck.
All in all, she looked like a lock.
"Who stole from me?" She demanded. "Show yourself!"
Students scattered, but Lockesmith raised her metal slates around the edges of the courtyard, blocking everyone in.
Lacy pressed her back against a column, hoping to stay out of sight of the akuma.
Lockesmith prowled, looking each student in the eyes. She glanced over Lacy briefly before continuing on.
Lacy slumped in relief.
Lockesmith froze, mid-step, and looked up towards the second floor. "Ladyblogger, how kind of you to join us."
Lockesmith jerked her hands up, but whatever that accomplished was blocked from Lacy's view by the column.
Lacy did see when Alya was roughly pushed to the center of the courtyard.
"Making a report for Ladybug?" Lockesmith questioned.
Alya flinched, barely noticeable, before recovering her fearless expression. "Actually, no. I'm here on school blog business." She raised her phone. "I'm doing an article on why we need locks on our lockers."
To Lacy, Alya's lie seemed near perfect - no obvious tells, except for the fact that Lacy could see Alya's phone screen from her angle and it was definitely on the Ladyblog. But Lockesmith still scowled.
"Liar!"
Alya recovered quick. "Okay, okay, maybe I wasn't. But now I will! This is a recurring problem in our school that has been highlighted by the akumas it's caused. The akumas may be awful, and totally Hawkmoth's fault, but they are also highlighting other problems we may not have seen otherwise."
"May not have seen? It's pretty obvious you're supposed to put locks on lockers. They're called lockers!"
"Fair point, fair point," Alya conceded. "But-"
Whatever Alya was about to say was cut off by Ladybug, who jumped onto Lockesmith, completely taking her by surprise.
Lockesmith yelped. A blade of metal came up out of the ground, pushing Ladybug off of Lockesmith.
The two began to spar, with Alya still on the ground filming. It wasn't until Ladybug almost tripped her over that she moved from the courtyard.
Alya slipped behind the column, next to Lacy.
"Are you okay?" Lacy asked.
"Yep," Alya said. "And I have the video to prove it!"
.
The entire battle took about ten minutes, which was just enough time to completely destroy the school with metal spikes.
Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to cancel classes for the rest of the day (something about too many missed classes already?), which meant Marinette had to run back to her class.
Just as she arrived at the door, someone caught her arm.
Marinette turned to see Adrien standing awkwardly behind her.
"Can we talk?"
"Sure," Marinette replied.
Marinette and Adrien walked to a more secluded place in the hallway.
"What's wrong?" Marinette asked.
"Lila."
"What did she do?" Marinette demanded.
Adrien smiled awkwardly and scratched the back of his head. "She, well - it's nothing really, we just bumped into each other and-"
"Did she threaten you?"
Adrien paused. "Uh, kinda?"
Marinette scowled. "Oh, that-"
"It's not that big of a deal-"
"- is going down, what do you mean it's not that big of a deal? She threatened you!"
"It's not! She just told me that if I tried to get her fired-"
"Wait, you mean your father hasn't fired her yet?" Marinette questioned. "She must have lied on her resume. Is that what she threatened you about?"
"Who threatened who?"
Marinette and Adrien both jumped, startled to see Chloe had snuck up on them.
"It's nothing, Chlo," Adrien replied.
"It's not nothing!" Marinette argued. "Lila threatened you."
"Did she?" Chloe questioned, sounding cold. "Well, that was her mistake."
"Chlo..."

Long time no replies. Yeah. Last week, I couldn’t do them on Sunday. I couldn’t do them on Monday either because I was in Prague all day and got back home at midnight. I thought I’d do them on Tuesday but then I didn’t feel like it, and then there was school stuff and other stuff and yeah here we are, it’s another Sunday. I don’t think anyone cares that much though :D
I’ve been working on Rose Legacy all weekend. It’s been so much fun. Right now, I’m halfway through the first part of it, the part that’s focused on quadruplets. I had a phase a few days ago, I was thinking about switching to ts3 again and I felt like I didn’t actually want to do it for some reason. Probably because I’ve been posting ts4 for months now and switching games after such a long time has always been kinda weird. It was always the other way around though - I posted more ts3 and less ts4. Eh, you don’t care :D Now I’m excited for posting that legacy again. I still think of them as of my “mascots” to be honest, they’ve been here since before I had a simblr. Anyway, January 2019. Roses are back. It’s gonna be great. I hope.
Another thing no one cares about, it snowed for the first time today and it hasn’t melted yet. I’m so happy. I'm like a child when it comes to this, really.

One of my fondest high school memories is of my prom night. I'm glad yours was awesome, too.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photo “create-a-sim replied to your photo “When you’re reading this, it’s...”
Oh, I remember my prom, it was maybe th esecond coolest memory of school! Now I sometimes look back at it and feel nostalgious (less than half a year passed, yo). Glad, you enjoyed yours, too<3
It’s been two weeks and I’m still thinking about it. It has really been the best thing about high school so far, and I doubt anything will top it. We finally got the video of the prom on Friday. I haven’t been able to watch it but I hope it’s good :D
simlovinggirl replied to your photoset “I didn’t know December now runs a gardening Instagram account.”
Only the coolest grandmas have gardening Instagram accounts :P
Truuuu
I helped my grandma start a Pinterest account but I wonder what it would be like if she joined Instagram as well :D

Cute cat
She really is cute! I didn’t even edit her that much, aside from the colours of course. I might have changed her fur too, but I’m not sure about that.
jackssims replied to your photoset “Ross: “Alright mum, I’ll have to go now. Look after Sunset, okay?”...”
//Ross//, buddy, pal, you gotta do something with her, even if it means watching some cartoons here and there
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “Ross: “Alright mum, I’ll have to go now. Look after Sunset, okay?”...”
Argh! He's so frustrating!
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Ross: “Alright mum, I’ll have to go now. Look after Sunset, okay?”...”
ROOOSSS!!!
December. it`s time to use handcuffs to chain Ross to his daughter
Yeah. But it’s gonna get better I promise. At this point I think it’s kinda showing...it’s baby steps but he’s gonna get there somehow I promise. Not saying he’ll be the ideal dad but you know. He won’t be the worst one. Have faith in him :D

I find it funny that he was able to ask a ghost for a vote. Also imagine if this was possible irl. It’s kinda scary actually :D
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Good luck at school!”
to cute for me to handle
I knooooooow
damn these Breeze genes will be the death of me
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Things are going great. Really great.”
Except for... maybe... your daughter?
He cares about his success at work more than he cares about his daughter. *shrugs*

A big YES to the pointless edits!
What could be more entertaining when everything else is boringXD
Exactly! And also, I’m often like “okay I’m just gonna take a look at all these pictures I’ve taken today and then I’ll go to bed” and then oops, I’m editing one and doing all sorts of stuff and oops, it’s midnight and I know I’ll be dead the next day. Pointless edits are one of the reasons why I don’t get enough sleep, basically.
Btw guys, here’s my HUGE folder of screenshots waiting to be edited in case you’re ever bored :D
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “Ross: “My sister got a letter today. She’s gonna go to uni.” Caleb:...”
I swear, Ross, if you don't stop forgetting your daughter ... also, I hope he rejects you.
melien replied to your photoset “Ross: “My sister got a letter today. She’s gonna go to uni.” Caleb:...”
Lmao seconded Caleb deserves better
Do you ever see an absolutely terrible person, but somehow everything turns out right for them and you’re just hoping for karma to hit them in the face but instead they keep getting things they don’t deserve? Ross is that kind of person.
Also, love how everyone turned from “yasss we ship Ross and Caleb” to “oh no poor Caleb we must protect him from the evil that is Ross” lmao
melien replied to your photoset
Persephone is now easily my favourite character in this legacy
She was mine too and then someone else entered. Find out tomorrow :D
melien replied to your photoset “Valentine: “Are you feeling a little unwell, brother? Is Sunset...”
After all he's ever done I can't help but hope he has the worst indigestion issues ever
He was sick many times so maybe karma did hit him in the face a little bit
melien replied to your photoset “Look Ross. You’ve made mistakes and we all know that. We all hate you...”
I guess Claret hates him too
Aww yes I’m here for that
Also Bianca. Back in 2016 Bianca liked setting things on fire. Good old times.
God, Bianca would hate him so much. That argument she had with Tyler in chapter 3? It would be three time worse if she had to fight with Ross. She’d probably actually fight him.
melien replied to your photoset “She’s beautiful.”
Can I adopt her
Too late I adopted her first
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “It’s happening. It’s really happening! I can’t believe it. Do I even...”
Yeah but he doesn't deserve it. I also know the rules of this generation so, LOL
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “It’s happening. It’s really happening! I can’t believe it. Do I even...”
FUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!!
Yeah. i was waiting for it, but... I somehow feel, like Caleb deserves better, much better. And I wouldn`t be surprised if Caleb would leave Ross this will serve him right
I still was waiting for this kiss, but it`s kinda... bittersweet?
jackssims replied to your photoset “It’s happening. It’s really happening! I can’t believe it. Do I even...”
I'm very happy with this but also very conflicted (more or less for the reasons the others described in their comments)
Can I just say I’m glad it came off like this. Bittersweet. I kind of wanted that, to be honest. Not in the “yasss I’ll make my followers cry I’m so evil hahaha” way though. Idk it’s hard to explain.
It’s different from other legacy couples, in my opinion, and I’m here for that. It’s kinda refreshing. I mean, usually people love the heir, love their spouse, want them to get together. This one? This one is something else.
I’m not saying I’m gonna make all my heirs assholes from now on, don’t get me wrong. But it was fun to try something new :D
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Breeze, Valentine - the better half of the breeze siblings - too pure...”
somehow i managed to miss so much! she1s beautiful!
Thank you! I had so much fun dressing her up for this.
jackssims replied to your photoset “Me when my otp becomes canon”
Big Mood
Yeah. But also this is really how my otps make me feel
Btw, at this point they definitely weren’t my otp just yet. Like I was kinda obsessed with them, but I wouldn’t call them my otp.
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “December: “Wait, no! You can’t just beat me like this! Ugh.” Sunset:...”
Caleb is a cinnamon roll and should be protected at all costs.
Y E S
jackssims replied to your photoset “December: “Wait, no! You can’t just beat me like this! Ugh.” Sunset:...”
December isn’t wrong here tbh
If only she had admitted that earlier
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “When I opened the game again, the girls came home from school for some...”
Is it a holiday? When there are holidays in game, there was a bug where, if you had a loading screen for any reason (even CAS) sims would come home from work and school.
Nope, it was a regular day. Still a better bug than the current one :/ I thought I’d start playing gen 3 but I don’t want my sims to age up when I enter CAS. I know there’s a fix for it now, I’ll probably look into it tomorrow.
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “this shouldn’t be funny to me but it is funny to me help”
NOOOOOO. Also dying sims are so dramatic.
Oh yes. I think I prefer the dying animation in ts3, where they just sort of turn into ghost. The ts4 animation might be more realistic, but the ts3 one is just...beautiful, in a way. Sad but beautiful.

elisabettasims replied to your photoset “Nooo, December! Hold on just a little longer, don’t forget what you...”
:(
I really didn’t expect her to die that day. I had PLANS. And she ruined them.
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “No. No. That can’t be real.”
This is only the second time I've felt bad for Ross. :(
It was bad, but at least it opened his eyes and made him realize that he has to be there for his daughter or else she’d have no one. More on that below.
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “23rd March 2018 - 5th July 2018 It’s been months and I’m still sad...”
December was an awesome character.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “23rd March 2018 - 5th July 2018 It’s been months and I’m still sad...”
Farewell, December, you were great!
She was ;-;
Also isn’t it sad that her name is December but she didn’t live to see the month of December?
jackssims replied to your photoset “Ross: “Hey…hey, Sun. Look at me. Everything is going to be alright,...”
We’ll all be holding you to those promises, Ross (but in all honesty this is a touching moment)
elisabettasims replied to your photoset “Ross: “Hey…hey, Sun. Look at me. Everything is going to be alright,...”
Awwww. Ross, I hope this keeps improving!
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Ross: “Hey…hey, Sun. Look at me. Everything is going to be alright,...”
You better Do fix this, Ross!
This, for me, was also very bittersweet. Because it’s awesome that he finally realized he has to be there for her, and it’s great that he finally cares, yay character development...but December had to die for him to realize. That sucks.
I have to say something else here...at this point, you’d think I would make them interact more. I didn’t really. I don’t know why, but I didn’t. So really, who’s the bad person here? I’d just like to say that from here on, they were closer, they spent more time together, even if I somehow didn’t show it. Past me, you’re stupid, this was such a big part and you ruined it.
tiny-tany-thaanos replied to your photoset “Too bad I can’t keep you forever, Kitty. But I’m sure you’ll have fun...”

Thank you for asking! I love her and it was fun to answer this.

Because Ross is self-centered and doesn't understand how to take care of another living being :D Any pet he had would starve to death or something.
Yeah, maybe he doesn’t want a pet because he knows he’d be so bad at taking care of it :D Maybe he has a good reason for once. Well, not exactly good, but you know what I mean.

The Sims - the only place where the combination "vampire" and "vegetarian" does make sense
Now that I think about it, I’ve never actually played with a vampire that has the Vegetarian trait. Oooh. I should. Or maybe I could replace one of Caleb’s traits and see what it does. Doesn’t he have the Foodie trait? Makes no sense to me but ok ea. I know he’s the good vampire and all that but still.
