sometimes i see ppl like "no one is talking about this" and all that and i just look over to twitch.tv/hasanabi open on my tv talking in depth about it to an average of 30k+ people. i greatly appreciate the spreading of important information but it is such a strange experience to see and so frustrating because i understand the place this individual is in where it seems like no one cares because you arent exposed to these kind of communities. i just gotta say that despite hearing all this shit about current american politics for hours a day in the background now while i do work, i used to hear this stuff while not seeing so many like-minded people reacting to it in real time and without seeing for example, hasan expressing pure righteous anger on my behalf and the behalf of all lgbtq individuals under attack in america, sometimes directly to idiots in the chat. it feels so much better to hear the news from someone who is outspokenly on your side and unafraid to outright laugh in the faces of right wing people

so uhmm.....a little rant because im sad and angry at the same time. i randomly woke up at 3am bcus i slept early yesterday and this was the first thing i saw when i did and now i cant go back to sleep. i wish i could just cry myself to sleep.

yesterday, i was so excited when i thought of how i could start writing for riize again. because in my older acc, i originally had planned a lot for future riize contents (au, smau etc). i was planning on making a banner or poster to announce that i will start writing for riize and even prepared a separate acc to post contents for riize and bnd in my native language.

because i thought, "finally, after 11 months of boycotting and waiting, we can all finally be happy with the assurance that he has returned."

i didnt know it all meant nothing to that shitty ass company and that it would only take 2 days of knetz "protest" after the announcement was all it would take.

im not undermining what they did, sending funeral flower wreaths demanding that ot6 is what they want for the group, thats freaking insane. absolute batshit crazy. but thats nothing compared to the airplane, subway ads, that floating jet thing with a banner flying around sment with seunghans banner, the i heart seunghan banner that locals mistaken for being a tourist photo spot, etc. 160+ projects for seunghan in the span pf 10-11 months compared to 2-3 days of flower wreaths, which btw sm apparently called the police for to get removed and allegedly was going to sue the ppl behind them.

and also because i do not want to invalidate seunghans feelings. we do not know if it really was him in that video. but clearly, those flower wreaths affected him greatly and im afraid that it may even have traumatised him. i fear this will make him forever anxious and scared of falling in love in the future. i fear that he will never look at flowers the same way ever again.

i have so many thoughts about the news and so many emotions going through me right now. but then i think about just how much harder this is for him and the members too. how much more painful all these are for them. im not sure but i saw someone say sohee was crying at the airport. the decision was made and posted when the members were on the plane back to korea. we dont know if they were informed beforehand or if they found out when they landed.

but regardless, i just think its so unfair for them because this time, with this decision of seunghan leaving. they were not consulted and honestly i think it is hastily made. im not blaming seunghan because tbh i think he made the decision to leave because he felt cornered or pressured by the reaction of knetz. i think sm couldve done more with reassuring and convincing him to stay with the group especially since it had only been barely 3 days since the announcement of his return.

when they said he was returning, they shouldve expected this because its their fault too that ot6 stans exist. had they done something to protect and defend seunghan this wouldnt have happened. so many artists have gone on hiatuses and fans waited and were happy with their return to activities. but because they were silent about seunghan, even tried to completely erased any traces of him in the group, it just pushed the narrative to the public (knetz) that they acknowledge that his leaked personal life and private photos from his pre febut days are indeed "wrong" and that he "shouldnt have done those things" like the knetz are saying.

to conclude this, sm is shit. and as an orbit, now is the best time to seriously boycott them if we really want to give justice to seunghan. this is honestly giving me serious flashbacks with what happened to chuu and loona and the fact that it happened around this time of the year too. the situation may be different but boycotts do work. and companies are all the same, lead by capitalists who do not give a fuck about their artists at all. they have the guts to create "global" groups and yet doesnt listen to the intl fans of the said "global group".

the only way to make them move is to harm their sales. unfollow all riize socmed accounts, ig, twt, fb, yt channel, unfollow their community in weverse!!

do not stream any of their music! especially with shit they will do like re-recording songs that seunghan is in (im looking at you siren 2024 ver). do not buy albums, lightsticks, any riize merch. you do not need those damn plushie keychains! you are funding sm ent to continue their shitty ass treatment and disrespect to the riize members and wizard production! you are validating their actions towards seunghan.

The problem with some fans is that they think they are in charge of her life and relationships! She is already a grown woman and knows exactly what she is doing, no one needs to tell her to do what she doesn't want to do! Everyone has their own opinion! I found the way some people acted in relation to the relationship she had with Matty so ridiculous, just because of his actions. She clearly made it clear that she doesn't care who talks about them and she loved him and we all knew it! She made a song calling out to her own fans and many don't care about that! I don't like Travis and I'm not going to let her go because of him, especially because she herself will find out that he is not what she thinks he is! She is the kind of person who will only believe when she sees with her own eyes what her boyfriend is doing to her! Besides, she and no one else are perfect, everyone makes mistakes!

Okay I’m sorry but I rlly don’t understand takes like this one. The only people ‘telling her what to do’ (like for eg begging her to break up with matty Healy via social media etc) were the rlly diehard/parasocial swifties. Yes, Miss Americana touched on the pressures she was facing from her family, team, the general public etc but the whole point of the documentary was how she’s overcome them! Esp in today’s day and age, seeing all that she’s done and achieved since then shows just how much autonomy she has, as would be expected of someone in her position.

I don’t know your reasons for finding ppl having an issue with matty Healy ridiculous, because from my perspective it doesn’t seem ridiculous? At least in the case of matty Healy, ones actions/behaviours is a pretty good indicator of their beliefs and personality imo, so it feels justified to “judge” taylor/hold her accountable for choosing to associate with a person like him. To be clear, I am not blaming her for Matty’s faults, he is a despicable person in his own right, but she made the choice to voluntarily associate herself with him, even going so far as to double down in songs like but daddy I love him.

And you’re right that everyone makes mistakes - I’m all for people getting second chances and learning and growing, but even now it feels debatable whether or not taylor has rlly learnt from the mistake that was matty Healy. She didn’t rlly change her tune abt him until he broke her heart, and all her ‘revenge’ songs abt him are her being mad abt him ghosting rather than his many other worse qualities.

As for ‘not letting her go’ just cuz of Travis/matty, I think it all boils down to what would make you let her go, which is different for every fan. For me, it was a multitude of things compounding (the Matty Healy thing, her private jet emissions (even tho there is nuance to it), her excessive variant releases) because these things signalled to me that her personality had changed/I don’t agree with her current traits, values or priorities. It no longer feels the same because every day I find less and less things to admire abt her, if that makes sense.

I’ve been thinking some more about my fic scenario

part 1 | part 3

So, they find the picture Korse took. Party chained up, crying, covered in all the blood and semen. Korse wrote “what a pretty view” on the white space.

(it’s only relevant if I decide of an epilogue/if I would write that fic, I’d call it “pretty poison”. whatever.)

they’re all in shock and react in a different way: Jet buries it down, Kobra cries it out quietly, Ghoul is angry. And so much so that the other two decide they must keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn’t do anything stupid. Kobra and Ghoul get in the Trans AM, Jet takes Party’s bike. They start to follow the trail the BLI van left but it’s complicated, wind messing it up and stuff.

Now, I got some worldbuilding I thought of after my first post; the killjoys communicate through the radio, we know that, so I think the Fab Four have their own frequency. They can access it with the Trans AM radio and portable ones they built into their own helmets and the Mousekat head.

Jet, Kobra and Ghoul tune into that frequency, hoping to hear something, anything that proves Party isn’t dead. And he isn’t.

(I need to look things up for this but basically I see it as He built a switch inside the mousekat head with three setting: off, talking, and listening. Right then he managed to discreetly turn the switch to the “talking” position.)

The sound is pretty low since the mic is only supposed to be picking up the voice of the people wearing the head, but the killjoys can here Korse talking. After a while they hear Party’s voice too and are relieved just a little. Now they have to do their best to listen and find out where exactly the van is, so they can intercept it.

Except things are about to happen that they don’t wanna be listening to.

This chapter is mostly in the three others’ point of view but I wanted to talk about party a little. When they’d been assaulted the night before, he had always been switching between panic, fear, and anger. Now they decided they will not show Korse how afraid they are of him. Korse’ provocations make him angry and they try their best not to reply, but fail. Korse calls him a brat who hasn’t learned his lesson and say he’s gonna teach them again.

Even with only the sound, the killjoys are horrified of this.

(For some time I was stuck at this part, so i distracted myself by making dialog.)

Korse says, “Open your mouth”. Party replies with, “Ghost yourself”.

“It would be more intimidating if you weren’t covered in blood and come. Now open your mouth, and don’t even think of biting. I’ll dislocate your jaw and do it anyway.”

Followed by a choking sound.

Followed by Kobra turning off the radio because he just can’t listen to this.

Ghoul asks Jet to listen for any clue to their position and as much as he says he does not want to hear that either, he says he’ll do it. It doesn’t take much time before he does pick up on something: music in the background getting a little louder then fading away. It’s the music from a band performing in a specific location, so they vaguely know where the van is. Kobra gets on Dr Death’s frequency and asks Show Pony to broadcast him; he makes an announcement to people at the Springfield Gang show, asking them to report sighting of a BLI company van, but not to go after them. Private matter. Party Poison was kidnapped.

They speed up to the show and run into killjoys friends who tell them the exact direction the van went, the Fab four (well three) ask of those friends that they stop other ’joys from interceding. Soon they can see the van.

Inside, Party is crying in silence as he’s forced to blow Korse. Said bitch lets him go for a second, asking if they want him to relieve them. Party replies by spitting on him. Korse does not like that. He grabs a shock baton and strikes him hard, again and again, the electricity making them yell and fall down. As their body touches the mousekat head when Korse strikes one more time, the electricity goes through them and into the head, messing up with the radio, switching the setting from ‘talking’ to ‘listening’

Kobra and Ghoul don’t understand why they can’t hear Party all a sudden. Then Korse, who figures out about the hidden radio, speaks up. “Eavesdropping is wrong.”

Party screams in pain as Korse breaks his ankle to punish him, and Kobra and Fun cut off communications. They’re 60 feet behind the van anyway.

Let’s jump right in:

Kinda love how Kara lamp-shaded addressed the fact she didn't tell the gang about her adventures in the PZ. She’s not wrong, tho.

...what do I want to say about Mxy using what's basically a well-known gay-anthem to tell his tale? I mean, it didn’t lead anywhere. The original song is about freeing oneself, liberation, stepping out of a (gone bad) relationship and moving on, stronger for it - empowerment. The only connection I could make, is that originally it was Nyxly’s aim to just do that (freeing herself and her kind from an oppressor), but in the way Mxy performed it, that part of the parallel was long over before he even reached the chorus. It’s also a popular Karaoke song, tho, so... he chose it because it’s catchy? I’ll try not to overthink it for now. At least, the Superfriend’s reactions were fun.

Nia exiting the elevator, "And what's this Old Stone?" I love it when ppl enter a room / situation and pick up on words that they couldn't have possibly heard. I think cinema sins ding such... Are we to assume, she dreamed Mxy's rendition of ‘I will survive’? Or is the elevator not sound-proof at all? (If it’s the latter, Nia later apparently telling Brainy “in private” between scenes / during the elevator ride about her Nyxly adventures, was a silly thing to do.)

So, "Jared" created the ring Old Stone to rule them all, it got shattered into the Paragons totems? Nyxly needs the totems and to get them she needs a crystal which also belonged to "Jared" - who happens to be Mxy's ancestor, which is why she needs Mxy / his blood, too.

I have one important and incredibly relevant question here, tho... 

With the introduced imps and their names... Why’s dude named Jared of all things?!

Sensitive Brainy sensed something was up with Nia. He can relate... Nia doubting Kara would understand, too, is ridiculous. But I get it... insecurities and all. But, I mean, just 5 minutes later Kara announces she wants to save Nyxly despite her wrongdoings. And yet Nia still remains convinced, Kara wouldn’t forgive her own personal mini-me... After having witnessed Kara forgiving Lena for a whole season of the writers being stupid messing up to the nth degree. But I digress, Lena’s Lena.

...how old is Nia meant to be again? Just asking out of completely unrelated curiosity.

F*ck. They really went with NewFoundland...

Imma assume it was an executive choice after realizing they couldn’t find enough actors and actresses with a convincing Irish accent... maybe. Again, no offense to Newfoundland! Just... we got the insinuations of Ireland, not Newfoundland... And truthfully, when I think of magic, Ireland is an easy association. Whereas I only due to this whole debacle learned Newfoundland has Irish ancestry. So, okay, the show forced me to learn something new... I give ‘em that.

Lena's been off-screen for two whole episodes, Kara announcing at the beginning of ‘Dreamweaver’ [6x09] Lena being “back east” (at least insinuating Lena’s left the west-coast already), which span over at least one full day (feat. a scene at night), and ‘I still rise’ [6x10] at least another a whole day (the whole Nia’s mom back for a day deal). And, now, after at least 48 hours she barely just arrived.

Lemme check how long a regular plane would need to fly from California to NFL......... ... .. .. So... approx. 10 hours with at least one layover. 

Yeah, using a private jet made it easier, but apparently also much, much slower...

Or, Lena randomly went some other places / did some sight-seeing in NFL before she decided to finally visit her mother’s hometown...  [Either that or the timelines don’t match up and Lena’s scenes are flashbacks of sorts.]

Optimistic and relaxed Lena is a sight to behold. I rewound 3 times, just to enjoy it for as long as possible. We all knew it was going to be short-lived...

Andrea being Lena's rock is both great and annoying. I can't fault Andrea. It's just, that we still have to see an on-screen interaction between Lena and Kara and that bugs the heck out of me. I can’t help it. I’m sorry, Andrea.

Nia: "...is my fault." Kara: "Nu, is MY fault!" J'onn: "Stop fighting, kids!" Space-dad has spoken.

Kara forgiving Nia came as a surprise to her... Oooookay. I mean, the show has been writing Kara a bit inconsistently the past two seasons... so, yeah, maybe being unsure which of her traits apply this week was not such a far stretch...

Maybe it's the hair, but I wished, Florence was played by Alex Kingston.

So, not-Alex-Kingston shows Lena herself with a funny wig and tells her how her mother was still watching her...

If it wasn't for Katie's acting skills (I love her.) I would have already hit my head against the wall repeatedly. Something about these scenes had me constantly cringe and I made it through 5.5 seasons of this show already... Can’t quite put my finger on it, but it was highly distracting from the story that explained Lena’s mom was special even to another witch, where there was domestic abuse, and an accidental murder. Y’know, important stuff, deep-cutting stuff! 

At least, poor widddle Lena got some closure there. Elisabeth was a good cookie. And filled with magic. And Lena’s gotta have that ‘spark’, too... 

....so... Lena’s gonna stay in NFL for how much longer, to train becoming a witch?  Please, just hand her a how-to manual and send her back home, to figure it out on her own, please... (Yes, that would be horrible decision-making, but I need her back with the team!)

On to the finish line:

Hnn... I can't help, but think Kara's speech for Nyxly was 85% based on her experiences with Lena in s05.

I guess, for once the episode title was meant to be taken literally, Mxy popping up between characters, to try and help. (I need in-show footage, of Mxy sneaking up on ppl, without his powers, on all fours / crouched, just to get the desired effect.) I mean, I’ve never really watched Malcom, but wasn’t he like what Mxy usually is? A bit of a trouble-maker, prankster, chaos-ensuing wherever he goes? ...well, in that case, the episode title didn’t hold up, as Mxy’s scenes were not fun or really goofy. Yes, there was some superficial humor, but just to serve Mxy dealing with not being able to use his powers, which in turn was only barely scratched at (although it turned out to be his final character development crisis, appreciating not having powers and - in turn - facing consequences for once). Again, a whole lot going on in the episode, so a lot of that may have ended up on the cutting-room floor.

...where’s Kelly? Secretly adopting a kid, maybe?

...Kara’s still a reporter, right? I mean, whenever it serves the immediate plot, yes? ...Not even a throw-away line, that she has to pop up at CatCo for appearances sake? Since Andrea is already upset with her AND looking into her friends’ identities? At least, Kara should take a peek to make sure Andrea hasn’t uncovered anything yet... No?

cool so I've decided I'm gonna, but because I cannot write for SHIT and I hate my writing every time I see it, ill just share my outline of what I have so far. its not coherent. sorry. 

Section one: aunt may dies. It’ll be like “it's been 3 months. 3 months since May was shot. 2 months and 3 weeks since she died.”

Something like that idc. Basically this section will base around peter living tony, because he’s not doing well, and he is only 17- which is not actually old enough to be on your own after something like this. Setting is established, with cameos from dr strange (who tony is dating and lives with (yeah bite me, this is my fanfiction i can make it what i want.) it will be made obvious that this takes place after endgame, which also means that tony is Not going to die. I’m not that mean lmao. The avengers are like largely together, there was not as much death in this as there was in endgame. Whatever. Everyone is very nice to peter because they know that for him its either this or him becoming a ward of the state so like.

Section two: harley gets kicked out. His mom finds out that he’s gay (from gossip sources idk) and kicks harley out. Im not going to write them having a big fight like in the moment, but harley will recount what happened somewhat to tony in this section, and then more to peter later in the story. Gay ppl trauma dump, we know this. Okay anywaysss so harley calls tony literally sobbing and like freezing fucking cold. IM SORRY IM BEING SO MEAN TO THEM I PROMISE THEY'LL GET A HAPPY ENDING. Okay. harley explains how his mom kicked him out. Tony asks why, harley says something like “she didn’t agree with my lifestyle choices” like bitterly. Tony is a good person in this (i know, im really taking some character liberties) and he’s in the mood for collecting strays apparently, so he has happy send over the quinjet. He can’t make it himself bc hes in fucking japan or something for the next few weeks,, but. Yeah! Tony also calls peter, who is presumably in bed and feeling depressed. “Hey pete. How ya feeling? Any better?’ ‘Not really, tony. Sorry.’ ‘you don’t have to be sorry-’ ‘damn tony you sound like my therapist.’ “sorry pete, but i do have something to tell you- you know harley?’ ‘only from what you’ve told me about him, but yea. He was the tennessee garage kid, right?’ ‘i mean. Yes. so- he’s gonna come stay with me for a while too- it might not be permanent but it will probably be a bit. Section 3: build up. this is a shorter section. Harley and peter are gonna meet in section 4. This section is harley’s jet ride (with an intuitive happy) and harley’s nerves about how he really isn’t worth this (i mean hes pretty intimidated tony sent a private jet just for him) and happy like reassures him. Hes still insecure though. Peter is also nervous bc what if harley doesn’t like him? What if he doesn’t like harley?? Tony did say they would get along, but peter hasn’t really been himself recently, so who knows? Yeah lots of that. I do want to emphasize though- peter is not completely unhealthily coping. Like he has a therapist and he has been reaching out to ned and mj, but its still an open wound for him. Obviously. He still has a sense of humor though, but its to cover these deep insecurities. Like the first month or so that he was with tony, he was reallllyyyy trying to not get close to him bc he sort of thinks he kills everyone around him. Like logically he knows this isn’t true, but he does really think the that non superheroes that he surrounds himself with are very at risk if they know about his spider-man-ness. The only people who know now are ned and mj (may knew too).

Section 4: the meeting of harley and peter. Keep in mind peter has been living in this apartment/area of stark tower for about 3 months now. He actually moved in while may was in the hospital because he couldn’t stand to be alone in the apartment when he knew why may wasn’t there. And um. Yeah. so peter is like comfortable in this space, basically. Also- the reason theyre in the same apartment is because stark tower was not really created with the idea of housing broken orphans in mind, so it only has a certain amount of residential space. Thor and bruce are currently staying there together (although no one really knows if theyre together, or if theyre just best bros who went through some extreme trauma together and are now inseparable. Hmmm wonder if thats gonna come up later) and theyre using one apartment, and happy lives there with his own apartment, and tony and stephen are currently sharing the penthouse, even though thats not public knowledge. Really only the people close to tony know that he’s dating stephen. So. this leaves just the one other 2 bedroom apartment for peter and harley. It has one bathroom, and the bedrooms are connected by a door but theyre pretty big so like. Theres a kitchen, a living room with a fancy ass tv, and a really pretty view (with a balcony bc <333). May died in march, peter got leave from the school in april, and it is now the middle of june btw. Tony is now peter’s official guardian (he was before may died anyways) and now has sole guardianship over him which he has fully accepted, even though peter and him both know that there are going to be times where he has to go out of town bc he does own a company after all. Times like right now. Harley is pretty nervous that tony isn’t going to be there to greet him and that he is going to have to like introduce himself to peter and everything. Cmon, theres no reason to feel like that, he’s the one intruding after all, he should at least be able to handle himself. (<--- harley’s thoughts). Yeah so theyre insecure super cool. A n y w a y s so peter was stressing about harley as he arrived, and so when harley walked in they were both complete bundles of nerves. Harley walks up but knocks. Peter actually jumps (bc spidey sense okay whatever) and goes to get the door. Oh my god these awkward teenagers i hate them so much (i love them). Peter kinda looks like shit, sorry king. He was a little bit crying earlier, then tony called and he switched into stressed out ball-of-anxiety mode. Distractions are good, its okay. Peter opens the door for harley and they like introduce each other all awkward (again sorry) and peter shows harley where he is staying. Harley doesnt really have muchhhh bc he was kicked out and all. He just has a suitcase full of clothes, his favorite blanket, his favorite stuffed animal (yeah whatever bc ofc he does) and his phone/charger. He sets all his stuff down at once. He thanks peter for letting him stay in his apartment and also said sorry. First thing peter noticed was harley’s accent. Stfu. peter asks why harley’s here- ok. Harleys had a long ass day. Too fucking long. He- he breaks down. He tells peter a lot. About how his mom found out that he was gay, and how she told him never to come back. Yikes. Anyways, this is establishing the beginning of their relationship as friends. Peter is there for him even though he doesn’t know him at all. Peter sees some of himself in harley in this moment, even though he’s not talking about himself yet. Eventually harley does ask about peter, and they really just get to know each other really quick. They have these deep scarring individual traumas, and neither has nearly recovered, but they find comfort in just knowing that theyre not alone in their suffering. At least for now. At least in this moment.

Section 5: the next day. Peter and harley spent that whole night talking about what they were going through. Peter said good night at around 5 am (there were no adults around they can do what they want to) and they both got good sleeps. In peter’s case, one of the first solid nights he’s had in a while. Harley was kept up a little longer after peter left, however, because he just couldn’t shut off his mind. It was really cathartic for him to just lay everything out there and for someone to just accept him. Peter told him he was bi, but he was.. Lucky. He had accepting people in his life. May was accepting. God, harley couldn’t fathom having lost everyone in his life, everyone he ever cared about, and still having the heart to sit and talk with the dumbass anxious gay kid who can’t go home anymore. His problems felt so small compared to peter’s, and all he could do was admire peter’s resilience and how he was seemingly able to bounce back from anything. God, peter was something. He couldn’t wait to get to know him more. With that thought circling in his head, he finally went to sleep at oh shit 6:30 am. Peter woke up around 1. Harley at 2. When harley woke up, peter was watching tv and eating cereal on the couch and he just sat down next to him. No words, just sleepy children being sleepy. They stayed like this for like an hour when someone knocked on their door. Enter stephen strange!!!!!!!!!!! Get excited people. Hes just coming in to check on them bc tony told him to, and he didn’t get the chance last night bc he was _busy_. K so now he’s here and hes awkward and he just wants to make sure these boys r okay bc theyve both been through too much recently, and it would be just the cherry on top if they didn’t get along. Him and harley had never actually met before so he like introduced himself and all that. Offered like if they needed anything he was there, and its only gonna be a few days until tony gets back (did i say a week earlier? Im retconning that bc i cannot find it in my writing so it is now retconned). Peter and harley just have to sort of explain to dr strange that theyre getting along gREAT and there is no need for concern….. And peter was even thinking about showing harley around the city a bit that night (something he had not yet told harley, but wanted to make it seem like he was doing well and not acting too depressed in front of Dr. Strange) so dr strange is like yeah !!!!!! do that, that sounds super fun petey !!!!!! and so now they have evening plans

the shit that amazes me the most abt aviation is the feeling of limitless potential that exists in it. so much technology exists that people dont know about and its wild to me that its actually a thing. and i tend to think “well shit if we managed that already just imagine how much further we can go.”

its also BATSHIT when u think about how far the tech has come in such a relatively short amt of time. like wtf. its literally been like 116 years since the first instances of powered flight. considering the very humble beginnings and fact that now theres an aircraft for like almost every job, allowing people to do things that used to be impossible, thats amazing. like now we got shit that can cruise at the edge of the atmosphere. stealth fighters w/ radar absorbing coating so the damn jet appears as an object the size of a bug. i mean damn even airliners. ppl complain bc unless ur in 1st class its unpleasant to travel and yeah but when u think abt how u can cross the world in a day where it used to be like, weeks on a boat. damn shawty ok.116 years. 

of course so much of that development was driven by wars and stupid shit but its still fucking impressive the level of ingenuity and dedication on the part of everyone involved in developing these things. like. im not tryna suck military toes but shits still cool

and the technology is just going to continue to push the boundaries of what everyone thought possible bc as soon as a need arises for something that nothing we have yet is capable of doing, someone out there WILL find a way to make something that can. and bc its often the military funding it u kno they go all out for that shit

as far as how i got into aviation- its my dads fault. he worked for boeing and textron during the better half of my childhood and has always been involved with aviation to some degree. when i was a little kid he used to take me down to the airport to watch the planes on weekends and i could point to almost anything and hed be able to tell me what it was. that shit never got old to me.  actually learning to fly was just like an idea but not sth i looked at as a real possibility for a long time. and then i realized “bitch i can legit just do this lol.” i actually wanted to be a helicopter pilot originally but that training is even more expensive so i settled for fixed wing. its still fun. 

and yea its definitely challenging and rewarding. flying a plane is not like, easy but i also dont think its as hard as people assume. when i was training 4 my private license there were a couple things that were fucking hard for me but i got so mad about it i just kept doing it until i got better in a p short amt of time and i think i managed to do that bc i had invested so much time....and money already i was like ok mf ill be damned if i let it get me now. so i got my private pilots license. however i still have a long way to go before ill be able to make money out of being a pilot. and thats kinda intimidating but so are a lot of things. living is fucking intimidating so i might as well try this shit while im at it. im also hoping to go to school to become an aviation mechanic as well bc that side of it is just as interesting and fun 4 me. + if ur a mechanic who can also fly the damn things thats extremely desirable 2 employers. and ive had some hands on experience thanks 2 being buddy buddy with our mechanics. so i also get a lot of opportunities out of my current job just by nature of being at the airport all the fuckin time and knowing everybody.anyway long story short, that post thats like “im always in an airport. even when im not literally in an airport im emotionally in an airport” thats how im livin

seraphina was born on the 4th of march, 1999. she was born in paris, france because her parents were in town for fashion week. creating and leading one of the biggest beauty companies in the world, her mother was expected to attend

her father protested, due to how close she was to her due date, but despite her pregnancy, her mother never really stopped working and continued to work even after seraphina was born

the story behind her parents marriage was not especially romantic. her mother came from old money, and her father was a soccer player, also heir to his parents fortune. it was a match made in heaven--or hell, depending on who you ask

they were quick to marry, but her father actually fell madly in love. her mother enjoyed his devotion, but when it came down to it, she was married to her career and all she really strove for was success

they were married for around 8 long years when her mother got pregnant. of course, it wasn’t planned in the slightest, and she wasn’t too thrilled but her parent’s (sera’s granparent’s) had been pushing for grandchildren for years

what will our tiny taylors tell us? we don’t know what it is or why, but it makes sense because we feel it, i can feel you. even when you say to your fellow social worker friend (played by your bandmate and beloved drummer) guys like that only date girls with food names like candy or muffin or cookie, and princess taylor disguised as orphan taylor turns around from her archery practice, greatly offended and snapping back, his dead wife was a teacher that loved kids and built this camp and she wasn’t a food her name was kathy with a k played by kourtney in a brief shot of her glamorously in a casket but dripping in jewels and hands delicately crossed over her chest. whatever, goth kourtney fantasies are not the point ok i know that. you look at princess taylor disguised as pauper taylor and are like well excuse me jeez, you don’t gotta bully me over it. sigh so then the state comes for her and accidentally send my daughter to some terrifying child sex ring that nightmares are made of and turned into dateline episodes, and this one is no less horrifying. orphan taylor shows the butler various scars and marks and bruises to show that she’s a fraudulent child that happens to just be another cute blonde that adults didn’t look closely enough at and notice bc they aren’t actually twins in this story, they’re just strangers that look alike. which honestly is prob when they first really started making the olsens insane irl like, pitting them against each other by pointing out fraternal differences and how one was the cute one the other was just the sister oh, don’t even get me started, dear. steptaylor comes home with ultra long extensions like repunzel after sneaky orphan taylor put gum in her hair. the original she gets it all cut off and suddenly her loss of beauty is signified by a short haircut which is so dumb and we just can’t agree with something so stupid, so in this she comes back with thousands of dollars worth of hair that isn’t hers just to prove her worth and appeal, which honestly is much sadder than a short sassy do any day. we get to the home of the butkis’ but no one answers and a neighbor who in the actual movie looks exactly like mike, like no shit just put a bass on him and it’s like every dude in a band probably but him specifically - unless i hallucinated it, the point is! he originally says oh that guy works those kids into the ground at the factory all day, or something like that, but in this version maybe he just shudders bc everyone just gets the pervy vibe from this butkis guy. the door gets kicked in as they are just about to initiate her into the butkis cult of abuse, and i don’t know i think it just ends with like, kirstie alley and the dad kissing? like they don’t get married or anything i don’t think. which leaves so many questions open like, if they do end up getting married, will the taylors become friends? will fancita resent taytay for taking up space and attention away? Sugar Valentine Motta grew up with not a silver spoon in her mouth, but a gold, diamond encrusted one. Her father, Sullivan Motta, inherited his family’s jukebox business which was more lucrative in the past than it is now. So with the money he already had, he started a mattress chain and thus, the Motta fortune continued to grow each day (with a little help from his side businesses that Sugar doesn’t find interesting or ask about). The Mottas were a family of three until her mother, Ginger, suddenly passed away from a brain aneurysm when Sugar was five. Despite living most of her life without her mother, she still feels a close bond with the woman she hardly knew. Of course, having only her dad around made Sugar into the definition of a daddy’s girl. But who wouldn’t be with a dad as rich and doting as Sully?

Sugar was born and raised primarily in Newport, Rhode Island, a city of not even 30,000 people that’s known for its rich inhabitants, historical and large mansions, and boat ports filled to the brim with yachts. Being an only child and also the only women in her dad’s life made Sugar fiercely protective of him. More often than not, she tagged along with Sullivan on his business trips for apprising vintage and valuable jukeboxes or opening mattress stores in new cities. There were some trips he wouldn’t allow her to join, and while she would initially pout about it, Sugar would often just go take a trip of her own with one of her rich friends instead. That became especially more-so when the Motta’s bought a private jet (what? it’s cheaper to fly that way. Probably).

Seeing how liked and respected Sullivan was due to how well he ran his businesses and how he would spare no expanse to impress someone, Sugar herself adopted that trait. It seemed to be the Motta Motto to say: “If you got it (money), flaunt it.” With funds being at her disposal, and Sugar never being one to hide that fact, it was easy for her to make friends. Most of them were the kid’s of people her dad knew, rubbed elbows at parties with, or from a past business transaction. And while she knows that some of them just like her because of the money, she doesn’t particularly care. A friend is a friend after all, right? However, it’s because of that her romantic life sometimes suffers.

Next to money and her father, romance is one of Sugar’s most favorite things. She loves to be swooned, she loves the feeling of having a significant other to hold or be held, and simply having someone to share life with. She had boyfriends, but it was with women that she found herself more comfortable with in that sense. Being into girls didn’t give Sugar much pause, but the intimacy created with them that does. She found she loved the romance, yet hesitated when it came to going “all the way” with someone. In fact, she never has, though she has rarely told anyone that. Being in the world of the rich, it felt like there was a hidden pressure to be the type to enjoy sex leisurely, especially with a significant other. And while Sugar loves being a “rich bitch” in most cases, that’s one aspect she just can’t seem to do. However, instead of admit that sex doesn’t appeal to her as much as it does to others, she tends to end relationships for one reason or another before it gets to that point. Even if she continues to have romantic feelings to some degree for them. Yet at the end of the day, Sugar’s young, hot, and rich so there isn’t really any reason to rush into anything with anyone, especially something so personal. Luckily, she has many other things that interest her besides dating and they keep her preoccupied.

After moving to New York City and seeing how vastly different it is to actually live in a city with millions of inhabitants instead of just visit, Sugar had trouble finding her footing. She was lucky to be living with a friend when she first moved, but she refused to act as lost as she felt. Thankfully, she found that New York was full of people with ideas, and most of these ideas needed money for funding them. So with that, she started branching out into offering to produce or fund various projects for various people. As it turned out, while she loved impressing people with how much money she had, she found it much more rewarding to help create or better someone’s vision. That was even more true when she herself was involved in them. It was due to this that she went to Sully and told him she wanted to take over his Jukebox business, because she had the idea to start updating them too. She wanted to have each jukebox get its own personal selection of classic hits along with songs from the last decade too– as long as it fit the Jukebox’s location. Sully couldn’t say no to his daughter, so he let her take the reigns mostly and as the numbers are showing, her idea is a hit among its clientele. It may be a small feat in the grand scheme of things, but it was something Sugar did mostly on her own and it has caused her to feel much more self assured in a new way that (surprisingly) money couldn’t buy.

Pets: A green amazon parrot named Coco. Unlike most pets, amazon parrots live for about 60 years which is important to Sugar. Equally important is the fact parrots can talk, making Coco a great companion for picking outfits. While Coco is biologically a male, Sugar knows her pet prefers they pronouns (two have talked about this) and she ensures everyone respects that.
