Y’know after I heard everyone hyping up how bonkers session three was, I was very confused because to me everything seemed pretty chill

And then I remembered that I was watching Tango “spent most of the fucking episode building” Tek and realized that the reason why that session didn’t seem crazy was because Tango-

1) has not died yet (somehow)

2) was on the team causing a lot of the chaos (team ties my beloved maniacs) 

3) LITERALLY SPENT HALF HIS SESSION BUILDING (AND THEN HIS HARD WORK GOT FUCKING DESTROYED IN A MATTER OF MINUTES) 

See the most drama in Tango’s video was how absolutely devastated he was that he build the tower a block off, like I think he was more upset over that then when it actually got destroyed it was hilarious

Then I watched Grian’s AFK video and suddenly everything made sense and yeah that session was pretty crazy wasn’t it lmao

Nico and Percy's dynamic through the series is eternally funny to me, because it's just. like.

Percy's having a constant mental struggle between his fatal flaw of loyalty with a promise he made to Bianca to protect Nico, versus his Big 3 kid desire to maim other Big 3 kids / Poseidon descendant urge to totally maim Nico specifically. He hates Nico so so much. He thinks Nico's annoying and weird at best, and creepy/sketchy when he's older. The only positive thoughts Percy has towards Nico are "He's Bianca's brother and Bianca was my friend and I owe her/He's Hazel's brother and Hazel is my friend and would kill me if I was mean to him," "He's a powerful asset and useful ally (if questionable)," and "He's kinda pathetic and I feel maybe a little bad about it." Percy has multiple occasions throughout the series where he strongly considers - and on one occasionally actually goes through with - throttling Nico.

Meanwhile, Nico is following around Percy like a lost puppy. He explicitly can never bring himself to even dislike anything about Percy no matter how hard he tries. He has a whole bit in BoO where he's mentally going "UGH he's so stupid BUT IT'S ENDEARING HOW DARE HE." He's totally smitten. He's making deals with his dad for Percy. He's making convoluted plans to help Percy stand a chance against Kronos. During the entirety of BoTL it's like he's playing tsundere - "I'm helping NOT PERCY SPECIFICALLY with this quest! Me helping Percy would be SILLY because I DEFINITELY HATE HIM." Then he proceeds to show up to Percy's birthday party to basically ask him on a weird date and spend the entire next book scrambling around trying to help him or protect him or impress him. And Percy could not give less of a shit.

Just. That dynamic is so funny to me. Percy is the founder of the Nico Protection Club in that he's the one they're all protecting Nico from and meanwhile Nico is throwing himself at Percy to the point where the literal god of gay love calls him out on it.

the best thing about lucanis living in the pantry is that everyone else in the game reacts to it exactly like anyone would react to that. basically all of them have a moment where they cautiously approach him and go '...hey you know we have plenty of other rooms right? are you sure you're okay in here?' and he's just like 'yeah.' ...and they do not ask him again b/c I mean clearly he's not okay in here but who's going to be the one to break the news to him

Flash flood destroyed my house

I hate asking for donations, and i hate giving away my personal info online, but I don't have another option.

Hurricane Helene caused a flashflood that hit my house while I was all alone, and my dad had to fight water to get into it with me and help rescue our animals. Unfortunately once he got in, the water kept rising and we were totally trapped for five full hours.

Thankfully, my dad took a lot of wild videos of flooding and one has gone viral which is giving our name a lot of support towards our fundraising. I want to ask if anyone here can please help us by donating anything and/or sharing the link.

Note: before anyone says anything I keep seeing on facebook - we were NOT evacuated. this all happened in the span of less than an hour and i was asleep. the attic was an absolute last resort for if the water got too high to stand in.

my instagram has a couple videos taken during the flood + a walkthrough of our house now. In the video you will notice many things look untouched, but it is the structure that is most concerning because this is the second flood it has survived, the first being in 1998.

if i wanted to start an argument i would say that calling lucanis a bisexual disaster is a product of the trivialisation / memeification of bisexual people that paints them as hypersexual or "attracted to everyone" in the exact same stereotype that has existed since the beginning of time. lucanis is literally just a guy who happens to be bisexual but because the current perception of bisexual men by cishets often includes being nonthreatening partners for straight women where attraction to men is less of a part of their identity and more of a "green flag" that makes them less likely to be misogynistic (untrue btw), his bisexuality was expected to give him specific characteristics (easily flustered, flirty, sexy.) emmrich and davrin didn't get this initial treatment because they dont fit into the idealised relationship mould these people would expect (davrin being black is a major factor given how people see queer people of colour and emmrich being Too Old To Be Bisexual) however when lucanis' romance had no sex and was. uh. boring. this demographic quickly pivoted to emmrich and acted like they were risqué for wanting to fuck a man in his 60s. but i don't want to argue so i'll just smile serenely and remember when the only bisexual man in dai had a bdsm sex tower.
