I just read a great fic by aisthuu "every love story is a ghost story", didn't see it in your recs so wanted to recommend it! LWJ is a guqin composer and teacher, buys a cheap guqin off eBay which ends up being attached to WWX's spirit from canon era. It's bittersweet, LWJ deals with Lan's homophobia (implicit in a Lan way) and his feelings towards the ghost. This is author's only ao3 fic and honestly I don't remember how I stumbled upon it, but I'm happy I did and hope you will enjoy it too!  [I’ve recently read this one, and loved it!]

Ok so I absolutely have to rec "see you yesterday" by glyphic. It's a wip, but it's currently at 101k so there's a whole lot there, and it's terrible and wonderful and beautiful all at once. The way the backstory of canon events is adapted to the modern-with-cultivation setting is brilliant, and then there's the amnesia, and then there's the time loop. This fic lives permanently rent-free in my brain.

Hello! It's come to my attention that you have not as yet read Grandmaster of Meme-onic Cultivation! Please do! It's the only thing that gave me joy during 2020 😆 like proper belly laughs and disney villain style cackling. It is a wip, and it is long but so so worth it!! The author has reworked the entire canon through these message crystals and still conveys complex characters despite the tricky format. It's just so good!! Do you respond to comments, why or why not? For the first couple weeks after I post a fic, I try to, because in return I like interacting when an author responds to a comment I made on their work. However, I don't always manage to do so. If you've left a comment before and I've never responded, I'm very sorry!

What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending? Didn't Want Us To Burn Out, definitely. It's canon-compliant Chengxuan, there was no way it was gonna end happily for Jiang Cheng.

Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written? I usually don't like to blend media. The one crossover I've written was for Doctor Who and BBC Sherlock, to explain why Sherlock deleted his knowledge of space, but I never finished it.

Have you ever received hate on a fic? No, and I'm grateful for that.

Do you write smut? if so what kind? Apart from one very ill-advised attempt I made a few years ago, no. I don't trust my skills enough to write good smut now, but I think I'll attempt it in the future eventually.

Have you ever had a fic stolen? As far as I know, no.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes! Two Stars, Set Adrift was a post-Avengers Endgame Harley Keener/Peter Parker fic someone very kindly translated into Russian.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Nope, although I'd probably be open to try.

What’s your all time favorite ship? Oh noooo, don't ask me this. I'm a multishipper all the way through.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will? The script-format story I started for a Chengning Gothic AU, featuring necromancy and a badass aesthetic. I like what I have so far but what I had was more general vibes than a coherent plot. Maybe one day I'll pick it up again, but not now.

What are your writing strengths? I'd like to say imagery? Those are some of the sentences that come easiest to me, and I have fun writing descriptions.

What are your writing weaknesses? I've been told it isn't bad, but dialogue is the bane of my existence. The less speaking I have to write, the better.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic? My current fandom is MDZS, and for that I usually prefer to transliterate honorifics and titles rather than translate (Jiang-zongzhu, Wei-gongzi, Chifeng-zun instead of Sect Leader Jiang, Young Master Wei, Red Blade Master). I think it's less awkward and helps keep the reader grounded in the setting.

What was the first fandom you wrote for? The first fandom I wrote fic for was Star Wars, but the first fandom I actually posted fic for was the MCU.

What’s your favorite fic you’ve written? It can change, but as of right now? All Of This Mess (Is Just My Attempt). Ace Chengning gives me warm and fuzzy vibes and I'm quite happy with how it turned out.

WiP Meme

OMG, @besanii​.  For the first time in a LONG time, I have been tagged in this when I have not just A WiP to post about, but MULTIPLE WiPs to post about!  :D  Good timing!  ^____^

Rules: Post the first line of your wip and tag as many people as words. 

#1: Jin Ling had never known his father.  (The Untamed)

THIS IS THE MONSTER I WROTE LIKE 3500 WORDS OF TODAY.  -.-;;;  This is a canon-divergent Untamed fic that diverges from canon when Wei Wuxian wakes up from the paralysis that Wen Qing put him under so he wouldn’t interfere with the Wens turning themselves in.  The major change?  Wei Wuxian never goes to Koi Tower.  He stays with A-Yuan, instead.  The fic takes place 16 years later, starting with Jin Ling and the other Juniors making a pilgrimage of sorts to Qiongqi Pass... and running into the wrong side of someone’s temper.  ^_~

#2: *He looks lonely.*  (The Untamed)

A WiP I REALLY NEED TO GET BACK TO, especially as it isn’t going to be a monster like the one above and I might be able to finish it quickly.  -.-;;;  Anyway, this one focuses on that 3 month period of time when Jiang Cheng and Lan Wangji were traveling together while Wei Wuxian was trapped in the Burial Mounds.  I’m fascinated by their relationship in that time period, especially given that I’m not really certain that they even LIKE each other, but they do work well together, and they clearly bond, even if it’s only over the fact that no one else (except Jiang Yanli) misses Wei Wuxian as much as they do.

#3: “Tonight, must be my lucky night!  I believe I’ve just stumbled upon the most beautiful man at the party.”  (Les Miserables; Muet)

Eh-he-he-he-he... yeah, that’s the next chapter of Muet.  ^_~  It’s about 2938 words, and now that I seem to be getting my writing mojo back... maybe I’ll be able to finish it sometime soon.  ^_^

#4: (Les Miserables) Shift. Fidget. Wiggle wiggle wiggle. Soft tugs at the blanket. Heavy sigh. More tugs at the blanket. When Courfeyrac reached the stage where he was shaking the entire mattress on the bed frame, Combeferre finally offered up a soft, "Is there anything I can do to help?" Silence. 

I had honestly completely forgotten about this until I started looking through my WiP folders, but now that I’ve remembered it, I think I want to finish it.  It’s a Courferre fic with an ace!Courfeyrac centered around the idea that even if you love someone romantically, that doesn’t mean you’re comfortable with the idea of sharing a bed.  And Courfeyrac has been TRYING because that’s what you DO when you’re in love, even if you’re asexual, right?? but it just isn’t working.

#5: Fact #1: Your little sister will make decisions that you will not understand, no matter how much you wish you did.  (Raising Dion; Immutable Facts of Being a Big Sister, as explained by Kat Neese)

RAISING DION FIC.  RAISING DION FIC.  I’m honestly still annoyed that tumblr like... COMPLETELY fell asleep on this gem of a show and I really hope it gets a second season, because it’s SO GOOD and has such amazing representation on top of that and it’s just overall FUN.  Anyway, the fic is basically the ruminations of a big sister because my response to so much of what Kat feels about Nicole is: I FEEL THAT.

#6: There were no words to describe how it felt to sit next to your best friend—your brother—as he lay pale and still in a hospital bed.  (Rocketman)

Basically an introspective/character study from Bernie’s POV after Elton’s sleeping pill assisted nose dive into the pool.

#7: --…haven’t spoken in months…--           “Isaac.”           --…still consider you a friend and ally…--           “Isaac!”           --…always welcome…--           “*Isaac!*”              That last shout was accompanied by a hand on Isaac’s shoulder, the pricking of claws through his leather jacket a warning of what would come if he ignored this last summons.   (Teen Wolf x The 4400)

Hey, remember this thing?  YEAH.  SO.  I ACTUALLY STARTED THE NEXT CHAPTER... about a year ago.  O_o;;;  It’s at about 1500 words and I think I have kind of reached a point where I have just enough distance on my irritation with TW that I might someday actually go back and write more of it?  IDEK.  We’ll see.  ^_^
