Birthmas manga and merch haul

#prince's talk tag #this was the stuff I bought when I went to the city two days ago for my bday #it was a great day i bought so much b.l. and s.tar r.ail stuff #i did make a mistake on my part bc usually i buy one shots #bc i know its only one book instead of having to worry about an unknown number of volumes #i dont always follow this but i try to stick to one shots when buying b.l.#but with one of them i think i was really into the blurb that i failed to see the 1 on the cover indicating therell be more #eeh its fine if i like ill just collect it #but the other ones i read the blurbs and went 'oooo interesting! add to cart' and then physically put it in my shopping basket #the light novel tho that was intentional i love that series and i wanna see how sayaka's middle relationship played out #bc it did not end pretty from what we learned from the main series #i do have to finish it im up to vol 6 #the p.r.s.k. book i was not expecting to see at kino like i didnt know it existed. but its p.r.s.k. so ofc i bought it #and now the merch. kino had a table and wall dedicated to ge.npa.ct and s.tar r.ail (more the former than the latter)#but i went ham on the s.tar r.ail stuff when i saw faves 2 and 3 (they only had up to xi.anzh.ou characters‚ no pe.nac.ony)#but that was ok i bought what i saw #and they even had bookmark sized boards of the aeons so i got my faves #the cards in the last pic came in a box and at first i thought they were blind boxes so i bought two but both had the same cards in them #so imma give one to my cousin and kept one for myself #this was the only way pen.aco.ny characters were available and look its my number one fave!! hes going in my photocard book #so while i don't play ge.nsh.in anymore i do like the characters and the lore #and i like Alh.ait.ham so when i saw something with him on it and it was the last one they had i bought it #its a keychain and a standee so i have him sitting on my desk rn #and then i saw only one instance of mi.lgr.am merch in the form of those keychains so i bought two with expressions i like #they didnt gave 02‚ 03 or 04 tho i was curious what they looked like

Was soooooo happy with this phase 1 which is what made it so much funnier that I was immediately clapped by his phase 2 😂

#romina is still my fave boss but messmer is a solid second #almost every other boss I would describe as “would’ve been good if their damage wasn’t so overtuned”#my stance if that if I’m consistently losing to a boss with 10/14 flasks left the damage is overtuned #vs me losing to sword saint isshin with no gourds or pellets left bc he was tough enough to whittle me down #fromsoft bros will say get good but think high numbers is big difficulty #an actually difficult boss doesn’t need big damage output if the mechanics are the challenge #I don’t actually mind how relentless the bosses are in ER but I mind how HARD they hit on top of that #dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each move does like 1/10th of your health? that’s fine.#if I properly time 3 of those dodges I can still make it and it’s honestly my bad if I’m getting killed by that #dodging a 12 hit uninterruptible combo where each hit takes out 1/2 of ur health bar & has a 50% chance for an additional retaliation combo?#I *can* do it but Jesus Christ what a waste of my time lmao #how am I supposed to learn a boss when I can’t get into a flow state bc a single mistake can end a run smh #I just beat gaius and I didn’t even feel accomplished I was just like ugh finally #I feel like 95% of his moves are fine once you work out the delays and positioning #but I kept getting clipped by his charge attack like I would dodge out of the way but once the i frames were finished I’d still get hit #bc I guess I wasn’t dodging a perfect 90 degrees to him and the hitbox for that attack is long as hell #which would be whatever if that move didn’t take out like 2/3 of my health and come out nigh instantly #I don’t even really know the tell for the move bc I beat him before I learned it bc I lucked out on a run where he didn’t charge me a lot #luckily the game is absolute DELIGHT to look at and explore that I can forgive the absolute bullshittery of the bosses #like I just got to the summit of dragon peak and I’m blown away by the design of that mountain #if we’re talking verisimilitude in games how about that whole shebang #no obvious well worn path up to the top of the mountain bc it’s just for dragons who’s gonna be walking up there?#having the player follow a trail of increasingly dense dragon corpses is SUCH a great tone setter #which means I’m probably going to hate bayle but whatever I’m already invested let’s gooooo #tsuchi plays games

i dont think you should focus super hard on getting defences in artifight but i cant help bur feel sad for janis knowing she will probably never be drawn for an attack because shes fat and hairy which sucks bc she is so cutee anyone attacking is missing out on her 😩

#okay i’m gonna try to keep this short and sweet. 30 tag maximum you are my nemesis lol #my main issue here is not necessarily that the karaoke and other bach party scenes have likely been cut #it’s more that they’re clearly buddie baiting for engagement #journalists were watching the episode as early as saturday. which means the ep was ready by at least this time last week #so they knew that the scenes had been cut. and they chose to continue including it in promotion and interviews #i KNOW that logically the reason they chose those scenes to cut was because they’re less important. and we’d already seen them #they technically already gave us the clips in the promo videos. right? so bye bye #but that’s bullshit. sorry #they used buddie best friendism content as a way to promote the ep and increase hype #and then they just pull it out from under us the day before it airs #this is a madney episode. madney are getting married. buddie having fun is not the most important thing here. i get it #so why did they not promote something else? you’re telling me there was NOTHING ELSE they could’ve used?#nothing else from the episode that was free of big spoilers? at all???#it’s madney’s episode but they chose to promote one clip of buddie talking to maddie. one of chim crawling. and the bach party stuff #they must know that people would focus on the bach party. buddie is beloved buck and eddie are beloved #what were they expecting??#they used buddie as a pairing as bait. not queer bait and not even ship bait i suppose as there was nothing ‘shippy’ shown #but they baited buddie content. that’s literally what’s happened #i would be more understanding if this wasn’t a regular occurrence. it’s normal sure. shows do this all the time with fan faves #but also it is a false reflection of the episode. even journalists are saying the episode is not what they expected from the promo #it honestly feels like they’ve made fools of us. maybe the episode will air and it’ll be better than expected #but i don’t have much hope not much hope for buddie. not much hope for madney getting what they deserve.
