From Red Lips to Glittery Eyeshadow: 21 of the Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks Lately
It's our last batch of celebrity beauty to close out the yearâand these looks do not disappoint!
Just in time for New Year's Eve inspiration, there's everything from red lips to cat eyes to smoky and shimmering eyeshadow. And that's just the makeup. You'll also find an array of updos, braids and accessories below to inform your next party hairstyle.
Keep scrolling for the best skin, hair and makeup sightings lately!
Taylor Swift

Could this be Taylor's best look EVER? I love everything about it, from her flawless skin to the bold red lips to the cat eyes to the flirty lashes. Most of all, I think it's the bangs that make it feel so fresh, along with a few face-framing wispy pieces.
Olivia Wilde

Olivia is making me want to bust out the glitter in a big way. I love how she layered it over a grey smoky eye to give it dimension, keeping her lips and cheeks a pale baby pink. With her soft waves, it's glamorous but not at all overdone.
Zendaya
Zendaya at the 2019 premiere of Queen & Slim.'

Zendaya's style just keeps getting better and better. I love the slightly Boho feel of her braided waves with warm neutral makeup and glowy skin. The blending is so impeccable, her skin literally looks air-brushed!
Lily Aldridge

I want to copy Lily's soft wash of purple eyeshadow paired with warm, peachy-pink blush and lipstick immediately. What a gorgeous colour combo! The rest is just fresh skin, fluffy lashes and full brows (along with her amazing bone structure, of course).

Emilia Clarke

What do you wear with a neon yellow gown? Slicked back hair, bare-looking skin and the most perfectly drawn cat eyes, as Emilia demonstrates. There's only a hint of rosiness to her lips and cheeks, which keeps all the attention on the colour statement.
Emilia is wearing: Eyeliner in Black ⢠Tinted lip balm in Mighty Mimosa
Jessica Alba

I'm not crazy about the new padded headband trend, but I have to admit Jessica pulls it off. I think it's the simple hair (apparently a faux lob!) and understated makeup that saves this from looking too busy. I also like the contrast of the cool-toned dress and accessories with her warm-toned makeup.
Jessica is wearing: Moisturizer ⢠Matte primer ⢠Illuminating primer ⢠Foundation in Amber ⢠Blush in Peony Pink â˘Â Eyeshadow in Supreme ⢠Liquid liner ⢠Mascara ⢠Tinted lip balm in Lychee Fruit ⢠Lipstick in BFF
Emma Watson

The last time we saw Emma, she was sporting some controversial baby bangs. (Okay, real talkâthey were just bad.) Fortunately, they've now grown out enough to frame this romantic updo, crowned with a thin hairband and what looks like a dusting of gold shimmer. The deep brownish berry lipstick and matching eyeshadow gives it some edge.
Rihanna

Close-up of Rihanna at the 2019 British Fashion Awards.
Rihanna's look is all about accentuating her mesmerizing eyes. The smoky brown shadow creates a feline effect, while the lighter shade beneath the crease makes it pop. Long braids (a style known as Fulani braids) and a slick of brown lip gloss complete the look.
Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie at the 2019 premiere of 'Bombshell.'
Close-up of Margot Robbie at the 2019 premiere of 'Bombshell.'
Margot's dress is over-the-top feminine, so I like that she pared down the makeup to rosy lips, flushed cheeks and only a hint of mascaraâanything heavier would've been too much. The same goes for the hair, worn in loose waves instead of a serious updo.
Margot is wearing: Eyeshadow in Pierre de Rose ⢠Eyeshadow in Rose SynthĂŠtique â˘Â Eyeshadow in Quartz Rose ⢠Eyeliner in Contour Mauve â˘Â Lipstick in Rouge BrĂťlant ⢠Lipstick in Warm Up
Ana de Armas

Holy glow! Ana looks so healthy and radiant here, it can't possibly be just makeupâcan it? But I'm in love with that too, especially the shimmery eyeshadow, sheer blush and stained glossy lips.Â
Ana is wearing: Foundation â˘Â Illuminator in Metal Peach â˘Â Eyeshadow in Lumière et Opulence â˘Â Lip gloss in Noir Moderne
Lily James
Lily James at the 2019 British Independent Film Awards.

In case you're pondering your next haircut, Lily is serving up lob goals (not to mention brunette hair colour goals!) in this ensemble. I'm equally obsessed with her deep pink lipstick, copper eyeshadow and thick black liner. These colours work so well on her!
Lily is wearing: Foundation in Medium Neutral â˘Â Concealer in Honey ⢠Highlighter in Nude Gold â˘Â Eyeshadow in Smokey Brown ⢠Eyeliner in Midnight Brown â˘Â Mascara in Ultra Black ⢠Brow pencil in Sepia ⢠Lip liner in Medium ⢠Lipstick in RosewoodÂ
Naomie Harris

Close-up of Naomie Harris at the Nordstrom New York City flagship opening in 2019.
Naomie's take on a classic red lip is far from boring. First, there's her cool braids (which appear to be jet-black now, after dabbling with highlights in 2018). Then, there's a thick fringe of lashes (which I think work here) and dewy skin to set off the rich, matte red.Â
Gigi Hadid

I love seeing Gigi in a more ladylike look than usual, with her hair tied back and in simple, monochromatic nude makeup. She has so much lid space, the matte shadow all the way up to her brows is quite dramatic (accentuated by only mascara).Â
Selena Gomez
Selena Gomez at the 2019 ACLU SoCal Bill of Rights Dinner.

Not one but two Selena red carpet appearances this fall? We are blessed! This is fall in a makeup look: a rich, brownish-red lip and warm smoky eyes to go with her bright orange dress. (She may have smudged the lipstick a bit... it happens!) The only part I'm not crazy about is the curly false lashes.
Katherine Langford

Close-up of Katherine Langford at the 2019 premiere of 'Knives Out.'
Katherine is always surprising us on the red carpet, and this look is no exception. In fact, those are tiny black crystals adhered to her eyes to mimic the shape of chunky lashes. It works because her hair is scraped up into a ballerina bun, and the rest of the makeup is super subtle.Â
Daisy Ridley

Close-up of Daisy Ridley at the 2019 London premiere of 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.'
Clean, precise, modernâthose are the words that come to mind with Daisy's hair and makeup. I particularly like the colourful liquid liner and the velvety deep pink lip stain. I'd just tidy up the hairstyle, though. What is that one loose piece hanging out?
Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala.
Close-up of Olivia Munn at the 2019 Baby2Baby Gala.
The dress is a bit bridal, but I'm a big fan of Olivia's pretty pink makeup. It's actually the bold blush that makes the lookâsomething you don't see too often! There's also a lovely glow to her skin. Â
Amber Heard
Amber Heard at L'OrĂŠal's 2019 Women of Worth event.
Close-up of Amber Heard at L'OrĂŠal's 2019 Women of Worth event.
Although Amber didn't stray from her red lipstick comfort zone, I think the unusual choice of outfit gives this a fresh spin. I also like the volume and waves in her updo. I'd just tone down the brows a tad (they're maybe a little too warm and intense).
Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse Ronan at the 2019 London premiere of 'Little Women.'
Close-up of Saoirse Ronan at the 2019 London premiere of 'Little Women.'
Saoirse is still doing her no-mascara thing, but it kinda works! Instead, she played up her eyes with a smudgy brown shadow, and then did a bright strawberry hue on her lips. With the loose updo, the effect is really pretty even if it's not making a major fashion statement.
Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore at the 2019 premiere of 'Midway.'
Close-up of Mandy Moore at the 2019 premiere of 'Midway.'
Mandy is as adorable as ever in this unexpectedly edgy eyeliner look. (She's wearing a chic black suit, so there's more leeway to experiment here.) The shiny pink lip gloss and textured waves keep it girly.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the 2019 Revolve Awards.
Close-up of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley at the 2019 Revolve Awards.
Rosie went for all-out glam: big hair and even bigger lips, painted with a deep red that's a little off-brand for her. Even if she's looking a little over-injected, I always like her straight brows, subtly shaded eyelids and long lashes.Â

A Darkness In Bright Town.
It was like the world was put on pause on October the 30th. The day before everyone was getting to celebrate Halloween, myself included.
October 30th:
I wake up and have a quick shower before drying my bright pink dyed hair and putting half of it up in a high ponytail and straightening the half I left down. I sit down in front of my makeup desk and put on my makeup opting for a purple and pink eyeshadow look with my winged eyeliner and eyelashes.
"where are you going?" my mum asks as she collects the clothes from the black washing basket.
"I'm going out with Jake I told you this" I say as I put on a little bit of pink highlighter on my cheeks.
"oh yes I remember, what film are you going to see again?" she asks as she now collects the clothes from my coloured washing basket. I have three different washing baskets to satisfy my ocd, something my mum hates.
"that new horror film about the dog that comes out of the Polaroid picture" I tell her as I put my piercings in.
"oh yeah, I forgot" she says and walks out of my room, leaving the door open. The wind from outside makes the door swing back and forth making it creek.
A sudden white light brightens up my room and as I look outside I get the feeling something's not quite right. For years people seem to go missing during these big storms that only hit our little town.
That weird orange glow beyond the cloud is brighter this time.
My phone vibrates and its a text from Jake.
"this storm is bad but I'm on my way now x".
I text him back straight away, "okay, I'm ready x".
I grab my pink bag with my phone charger, pyjamas, leggings and a jumper inside as I'll probably end up staying at Jakes house tonight.
I leave my room and lock the door so that my pesky little sister doesn't go in there before going downstairs and putting on my big white chunky trainers to match my white tshirt and camouflage trousers.
"put a coat on, it's pissing down outside" my mum says as she hands me my denim jacket that has the detachable hood on it.
"thanks mum, I'll probably be back tomorrow" I say and put the jacket on.
"okay be safe, you know how it is out in the storms here" she says and pulls me into a awkward hug with her arms around my bag more than me. I hug her back and squeeze her.
"I love you mum", something I don't say enough to her.
"I love you too" she says and smiles lovingly at me.
Jake beeps the car horn and I take that as my cue to leave.
"I'll see you tomorrow" I say as I leave the house.
The rain is ice cold when it hits my skin surprising me even though it shouldnt because every storm is the same. It starts with the wind and rain which is always ice cold. That ends up turning to sleet and sometimes even snow. I run to Jake's car and get in the passenger seat.
"Hey" he says and leans over to kiss me.
"Hey" I say after I pull the hood down.
"so I was thinking you could stay at mine tonight?" he says as more of a question.
"sure" I say and he smiles and drives off.
"I don't have a good feeling about the storm this time" he says as we get to the end of my street. He stops at the red light, the golden leafs fall on the car from the trees that are now gold, brown, red and yellow. The colours of Autumn. They stick to the window but quickly get wiped off by the window wipers that squeek when they move.
"me too" I say and the light turns green. He takes the right turn that goes into town and I notice there's no cars parked outside the shops which is unusual as its usually full of cars and a hard street to drive in.
"where is everyone" I ask and he slows down.
"I have no idea" he says as he parks up outside the cinema, something we can't usually do. We get out and run into the cinema trying to avoid the rain as much as possible.
Inside there's no cashier, no sound can be heard.
"it's a good thing I booked our tickets online" Jake says and we walk over to the ticket machine. Our tickets fly out of the machine and I pick them up from thr floor.
"that machine is fast" he says and I laugh.
"faster than usual" I say and we walk up to the cashiers desk to order our popcorn and drinks.
"hello, is anyone here?" Jake asks as I stand next to him. No one answers or comes to serve us.
"I guess I'll do it myself" he says and jumps over the counter.
"you can't do that!" I say and he flashes that smile at me that I just love so much.
"there's no one coming to stop me" he says as he fills up two cups with coke and fills up one bug box of popcorn. I take the drinks off the counter and he walks out of the little door at the end of the cashier/counter entrance with the popcorn.
"I have to leave the money otherwise its stealing" he says and leaves a crisp ten pound note on the counter.
"let's go babe" he says and we walk to screen number 8 at the far end of the corridor.
"I sure hope theres someone here to put the film on or I'll be doing that myself too" Jake says as I push the door open.
"yeah me too" I say and find our seats row C seats 17 and 18. I sit in 17 and Jake sits in 18.
After about 20 minutes of nothing happening besides us drinking our drinks and the crunching of popcorn.
"Ive had enough of this let's get out of here" he says and grabs my hand as we leave.
"we won't be coming here again that's for sure" he says as we walk back up the corridor.
"I don't know whats going on today but I don't like it" I say.
Thunder can be heard rumbling over the town as we leave the cinema. The wind blows my hair everywhere as I quickly put my hood up but the rains already ruined my hair and makeup now.
"that's actually really pissed me off" Jake says as we get in his car.
"let's just go to your place I'm not in the mood to go anywhere else, especially in this weather" I say and he starts the car up.
"okay, we can watch a film at my place instead then" he says and drives off.
Things get even more strange as we drive through the town. Shop doors are left open, most of them swinging in the wind and rain.
"I don't like this" I say as we take a left turn that leads into Urban Street where Jake lives.
"me neither, let's just get inside and wait this storm out" he says.
"what about my mum?" I ask.
"she'll be fine Kayl, if the storm calms down tomorrow I'll take you home but if not you can ring her and let her know you'll be staying at mine" he says and squeezes my hand before parking on the driveway outside his house.
We get out and I'm nearly blown over by the wind but Jake catches me and holds me as we walk up the steps to his house.
He shuts the door and I take off my jacket and put it on his radiator by the door before taking my trainers off. Jake passes me my bag and his mum walks into the hallway.
"you two was out in that? You could've been killed, or worse" she says and then pulls Jake into a hug.
"what's worse than being killed?" he asks her as he just manages to get out of the hulk like grip she has on him.
But she doesn't reply she just walks back into her office and locks the door.
He shakes his head and points upstairs which means he wants to go up. I just nod and we both make our way upstairs quietly.
"what was all that about?" I ask as I sit on the edge of his bed and take my trousers off.
"Remember I said that my dad went missing a few years ago?" he says and sits down next to me holding my pyjamas in his hands.
"yeah I remember" I say and he turns to look at me, tears threatening to spill down his face at any moment.
"he went missing during one of the storms and its like he just went missing from existence itself, no one can remember him except me and my mum, there's no records of him, but the weirdest thing is all our pictures of him are gone, the ones of us with him are gone" he says and the tears run down his face.
"you can't imagine how frustrating it is when no one remembers someone that they should know, he was a well known doctor one of the towns best and now there's nothing to remember him by" he says but he is wrong.
"I do know" I say and he looks surprised.
"I had a baby brother just before we met, and the same thing happened with him." I say and he cries a little bit more. I hug him tight and he holds onto me like I might dissappear too.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know" he says and I rub his back.
"don't worry about it, I didn't tell you so don't worry" I say and he sits back and I smile at him, trying to reassure him.
"here you go" he says and hands me my pyjamas. He seems a little less upset.
He gets up and sets the TV up while I get changed into my striped pyjama shirt and pyjama bottoms before getting into his bed.
He opens up his mini fridge and gets two cans of coke before shutting it. He gets the bucket of popcorn and joins me in his bed.
"I love you, you know that right?" he asks and places one of the cans in front of me.
"I love you too" I say and he kisses me softly.
He puts a film on and we sit there drinking our drinks and eating popcorn until we can't eat anymore and I end up falling asleep on his chest.

The holidays season is nearing, and everything in town dressed up with baubles and fairy lights. You may want some glitters for you, donât you? Jolie Beauty has listened to your seasonal wishes with its Bomb Dot Com 24 shade glitter paletteâŚ
You can recreate that jolly atmosphere with your makeup looks and the help of this explosive glitter palette by Jolie Beauty.
Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com 24 shade glitter palette: product & package
Itâs a real glitter bomb! Jolie Beauty Bomb Dot Com is a makeup palette with 24 pressed glitters safe to use on both eyes and face. This palette is featherlight and comes with a matching protective sleeve. Its package runs over you with a light beam: the whole palette is rose gold and a finelly glittery to the touch, inside and out. It has a magnetic closure and a large mirror inside.
Texture and formula As all Jolie Beauty products, the Bomb Dot Com palette is cruelty-free and vegan. These cosmetic-graded glitters are pressed into singular pans in a clear base. In some shades, this base feels pleasantly cooling and with a jelly texture. The clear base eases the application and minimises the use of glue, other adhesives or creamy products, even though I highly suggest them (see how to use). Of the 24 shades, 23 are made of micro shimmery particles, that an optical illusion makes them look varying in dimensions (see chart). Sugar is the only shade in this palette with a crystal-like texture due to its chunkier glitters.
How to use: It may sound straightforward, but these glitters need some instruction: apply the glitters with a synthetic flat brush, preferably with a stiff texture, and tap them over your lids or skin until you get the desired intensity and coverage. The colours can be overlayed; put on the top of a coloured cream base or dabbed with eyeshadows and pigments to intensify the colours and effect. When it comes to glitters or very dark eyeshadows, itâs always better to start from the prep and eyes first. Once the eyes are ready and sparkly in glory, remove any fallouts with a face wipe and continue with your base.
Glitter removal: carefree as a sip of bubbles. Cheers!
⌠and how to remove: These glitters can be removes swiftly with any makeup remover wipes. If any glitter falls later on, when the face is ready, some washi tape comes in handy. I recommend this Japanese decorative tape because itâs sticky but gentle. I also suggest attaching the washi tape to the back of your hand to dampen its stickiness as a good practice.

In short, this palette has many bright colours mainly in the blue and red spectrum but lacks dark shades, except for Cocoa, a very intense brown. These glitters have a crazy metallic finish and, interestingly, a portion of this palette has a âwatershineâ effect, an iridescent and holo shine. Some shades, like Disco, Golden Tickets and to some extent Just Jolie, can be dabbed until creating a metallic foil effect like a pigment. This âtrompe lâoeilâ (a French, hence chic, way to say âoptic illusionâ) is due to the glitters being heavily packed in their clear base. Most of the glitters, instead, look sparse and need more layers.
PROS:
itâs vegan and cruelty-free;
(23 out of 24) the glitters have a fine in texture;
(23 out of 24) the glitters are very gentle to the skin;
very shiny;
easy to remove;
relatively easy to work with;
have a buildable coverage;
have different finishes;
the package is sturdy yet light;
includes a large mirror.
CONS:
a sticky base is always needed;
one shade is grittier and harder to use;
(lack of dark shades).
SWATCHES

#3 & #4 ROW
If I could describe this palette with an image, I could say itâs a loud and instant party! The ace in the hole: when you need something spectacular and shocking, this palette has it. The Bomb Dot Com palette comprises 24 shades for a total of 19.2 grams at a regular price of ÂŁ27.99 online at JolieBeauty.com (now at ÂŁ20.99 for the extended Cyber Monday and payable with Klarna small payments).
I played around with this palette because itâs made for that! I created two sparkly looks for the holidays I want to share with you. Nice or naughty, how are you going to be these holidays?
When I think of glitters, Christmas tinsels come to my mind. For how much it may sound typical, I still like and wear glittery eyeliners. I made this daytime ânice lookâ with an organic white kajal (LâAvril Blanc Lunaire) as a base where to stick three glitter shades from this bombastic palette: Rosy, Regal and Amazon. At the bottom of the lower lash line and right at its centre, I dotted Firefly with a pinch of Just Jolie to add an unexpected drop of light in this simple look.
A paired this with fuller and bright lips: Lord&Berry Ultimate Lip Liner in Vintage Rose with a touch of MCo. Beauty Peachy Gloss.
âNiceâ daytime holiday look Face: CiatĂŠ Watermelon Burst Hydrating Primer + Joah Beauty Pore De-Activator Pore Minimizing & Mattifying Primer + EsteĂŠ Lauder Doublewear Stay-in-Place Foundation 1W2 Sand + Jolie Beauty Second Powder Bronzer in Latte + Blusher in Rendezvous + Highlighter in Dreaming Eyes: WinkyLux Peeper Perfect Concealer in Medium + Boutique by Sainsburyâs Flawless Hydrating Illuminating primer + Joah Beauty Lash Up rising in Blackest Black + MannaKadarBeauty Goddess makeup palette (eyebrow and eye base) + Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Matte Gel Eye Crayon in Iron(y) (tighline) + Mist me? (waterline) Lips: Lord&Berry Ultimate Liner in Vintage Rose + MCo Beauty Peachy Gloss (centre)
If this is for the day, what would be my night holiday? Get naught(ier) with this glittery crease. The neutral eye base created with MannaKadar Beauty Goddess makeup palette has been spiced up with a reddish glitter liner (Cherrybomb) to which a sharp crease connects (Cocoa).
To keep these shades in place, I used the same white kajal as a guideline and base for winged eye and an e.l.f. brow pomade from an eyebrow kit to fill in the crease. I created a light point in the inner corner with Disco, and layered the glitters several times and topped with coordinated eyeshadow palettes (from MannaKadar Beauty Goddess palette and Forgive Me Suzie x Birchbox red/gold/copper eyeshadow palette). With such dramatic eyes, I dressed my lips with a caramel gloss by Neve Cosmetics (Venissage in Dama con lâermellino).

Nice or naughty is such a subtle difference, a thin line of glittersâŚ
Itâs all about eyes but my face has something interesting: for the day makeup, I used Jolie Beauty Second Skin Powder Bronzer and Blusher Latte+Rendezvous. The night look includes the combo Latte+Flushed. Thereâs more! This review wants to be a preview of the new launches from the Second Skin Collection: the highlighter Dreaming for the day look and Saintly for the night. Trust me, these newest highlighters are as light as the Second Skin compacts (complete review) but with an ethereal glow.
âEthereal glowâ: Jolie Beauty Second Skin Powder Highlighter in âSaintlyâ
These glitters lasted for more than 8 hours before I could see the first fallouts, but the glitters placed closer to the crease tended to move earlier. Although a glitter glue isnât a strict necessity, it would be very welcome, especially in case of long and lively events as New Yearâs Eve. Nevertheless, with minimal expense and effort, I made both looks last longer than expected.
A last look insideâŚ
Of course, an extended glitter palette like the Bomb Dot Com isnât for everyone and doesnât fall into the essential makeup list, but itâs ideal for artists and playful people. I had fun and magic all over my carpet these weeks, and I will play more often with it. Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles - 15+ - https://shorthaircutsmodels.com/margot-robbies-short-haircuts-and-hairstyles/ - Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, This gorgeous light blonde hairstyle sways smoothly to allow. The hair to naturally compliment the face and jawline. This look is perfect for those looking for a hairstyle that is easy to maintain and style with a small product. She has a clown type of make-up and clothes but ironically everyone adores this look and this stunning Margot Robbie's new hairdo. Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, hair always looks stunning no matter what. Although known for her golden blonde locks, the I Tonya actress worked out almost every hair color in the book from dark brunette to auburn red in various shades of blonde. The product is needed to tame fly hair. Margot Robbie goes cool in a casual look here with a side parted blunt cut falling just past her shoulders. This hairstyle may be simple but boring. With long blunt layers enveloping the Jawline, this is the perfect way to jazz up a boring bob. Margot Robbie's Haircuts and Hairstyles Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, Here she is rocking a cool ash shade that looks great with. Her complexion and blue eyes. No need to stress here. This stylish blonde looks bright and multidimensional in her own right. I will complement it with their skin tone. Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts Margot Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, Do you have a secret tip for blonde hair care. The only anti-break product I know to this day is the Olaplex No3. Second blondes can use extra hydration, using masks and heat styling products for softness and protection. Davines and Shu Uemura are my favorites. This hairstyle is mainly blown flat, but the ends of this look are slightly curled to allow the hair to move freely while walking. Her hair is colored dark brunette but her hair is dyed medium blonde which looks nice. Putting all modesty aside, it's always safe to say I have really good hair. Margot Robbie's Short Hairstyles Margot Elise Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, They have said as much as anyone from hairdressers to randos on the street and for years I have grown accustomed to people associating me with waves of my natural thick thin surfer girl. The care was minimal, I'd spritz lightly with an apple cider vinegar spray and sleep damp on it, so I'd throw in any additional hair effort to reach the perfect beige and Scandinavian blonde. Margot Robbie's Haircuts Margot Elise Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, Doesn't this hairstyle make Margot Robbie look like she doesn't need care in the world? I want that feeling, and I believe that this hairstyle will make you feel young and free in no time. The waves are thin yet manageable to give this look some volume and depth, and the length of her hair is nice to keep in mind for these hot summer days. You need to use some products to lock in these waves to ensure they don't fall too much during the day as they move. Margot Robbie's Hairstyles Margot Elise Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, To keep your hair healthy and wide you will need to correct your hair every 6 weeks. But I work in fashion and beauty and that just means it's not enough to feel *content* with my looks, I need something shiny and new on a regular basis. I wasn't sure what I wanted yet. Fast forward to eagerly watching the Oscars red carpet in my Brooklyn apartment. Margot Robbie's Short Hair Margot Elise Robbie's Short Haircuts and Hairstyles, Eventually Margot Robbie returns to the screen looking at the pale pink CHANEL couture movie star but didn't notice any of it except her hair. This painfully chic wavy blunt bob is both effortless and coiffed at the same time. Her hair is a blunt cut that gives her hair a thick healthy look. Having a square face shape, these styles that cross the shoulders are ideal for him as they add length and balance the excess width. Margot Robbie's Hair It gets away with a nice centre part, but most square faces are better off with a deep side part instead. Los Angeles-based hairstylist Matt Rez specializes in hair coloring and has worked his magic on some of Hollywood's most famous names. Rez Margot is the man behind a transformation that has seen the Australian actress perform in Hollywood in Robbie's perfect blonde shadow. Rez and I talked about the secret to perfect blonde hair. How did you get such a perfect blonde color in Margot. Margot Robbie brown hair Illuminate my client's eyes and yellow level. The tips and long layers of this style are blunt cut-and-blow wavy to soften the top for a sweet and look and feel. Everyone saw him in a bold T-shirt with short shorts and, of course, crazy pink and blue hair. This hairstyle was a competitor before the film was released. Margot Robbie natural hair color When a referenced style hint hits modern, it turns into something new. The question was given a nod of Old Hollywood hair, entirely contemporary by Margot Robbie, seen in New York this morning. Starting from a deep piece focused on non-focused roots, Robbie's lengths fell just beyond his shoulders with polished peroxide waves. A one-sided tuck behind the ear revealed a medium-sized gold hoop, underlining the classic aesthetic. Margot Robbie black hair Expertly applied by make-up artist Pati Dubroff, the monochromatic make-up teamed with matching blush and pink covers for a beauty moment that will feel at home in a number of periods in the past, the brunette sported a pull of pink lipstick. The smudge of smoked lining adjacent to the lower lash line and Robbie's roots caused a Moody effect, and now winter and spring are soft and always cause a bit of edgy confusion. It's a razor dust and foil babylights for an a-lister and it's like why everyone looks so good. Margot Robbie hair colour Margot Robbie is such a case in point on her final stop on the Bombshell press tour, which hits theaters this Friday . During last night's private screening in La the actress dazzled on the bright red carpet with just a touch of her blonde colour and her shoulder length ends in a faux mark of light and soft perfect trim. Is Margot Robbie in Harley Quinn? Margot Robbie is a fan of big hair transformations. her plunging dyed ponytail neon orange wig and wavy bobs are several of her most dramatic looks. But the latest haircut is a testament to how much a simple ornament can change your hairstyle. How to get Margot Robbie hair The 10 actress showed off her long blunt lobe at a screening of her latest film Bombshell. Apparently Robbie dusted off the ends of a few inches and dyed it too. Her buttery blonde is signifcantly lighter than her rooty bronde colour. Margot Robbie hair tutorial Robbie's hairdresser Bryce Scarlett gave him a middle piece and designed his fresh trim in loose flat iron waves using Moroccanoil products. This new length is the shortest length the actress wore her hair as she placed her wavy blunt bob on the top beauty look lists of the night at the 2020 - 2021 Oscars. Margot Robbie hair short Even this summer while promoting once upon a time. In Hollywood, Robbie's character Sharon Tate channeled 60s bombshell styles by keeping her hair long in the fall. Let's revisit the best hairstyles Margot Robbie has displayed over the years. Has a hair color ever been a disaster. What did you do. I've had my fair share of customers coming to me to fix colour disasters. That made me a stronger colorist. I have an honest conversation with my client and you have to ask them what they were going for initially. Margot Robbie hair extensions Then I do my best to take what's in front of me and turn it into the desired color. But many times it will take multiple sessions to turn back time and create original inspiration if hair allows. You are an expert at getting a natural yet flawless color for your customers. Happy responded with emojis and some iterations of exclamation marks and said the full mermaid breasts condition covering her hair was extremely long and so I looked in. How do you get your hair like Margot Robbie? I wondered why I had to cut so many inches, surviving a bad haircut. But instead of identifying the root of this newfound beauty obsession Margot Robbie came to work armed with a game plan to find the hairdresser who gave her this perfect do and convince her to do the same to me. All wore these blonde locks down the sides and back to give the style subtle movement and bounce on in loose waves. DIYShowOff Fab and over 40 Favorite: Savvy Minerals MakeUp
âBeauty begins the moment you decide to be yourself.â ~Coco Chanel
A little detour from DIY home improvement and decorating today as I share a little about one of my new favorite things! Â Itâs a tad long but very informative and if you wear makeup, please take a minute to scroll through!Â
â26 seconds after exposure, chemicals are found in measurable amounts in the human body. The average woman applies 300 chemicals to her body a day â 80 before breakfast.â
I still hardly recognize my new round, fullerâŚmature face in selfies! lol! But hey, I am loving the new Savvy Minerals makeup collection! {Beware: unedited photos! lol}
Our skin is our largest organ and what we put on it matters, including makeup! All of those chemicals over time are going to catch up with us. Time to ditch the toxins in your makeup bag and get your game on because this was Made. For. You!
Iâm wearing:
Warm 2 foundation I Do Believe Youâre Blushing blush Eyeshadow: Inspired and Residual Jet Setter eyeliner and Determined Eyeshadow (brows) Lipstick: Daydream Lipgloss: Embrace
As I work to rid the chemicals and toxins from my home, one area that I kept putting off was my makeup bag and I knew the facts: Skin is my bodyâs largest organ. The stats: the average woman applies 300 chemicals to her skin per day, 80 before breakfast. Yikes! But man, Iâm the type to not leave the house without makeup. Iâm just not that confident in my ânaturalâ beauty. It feels more ânatural: scary to all the people to me.Â
Get your Savvy Minerals makeup collection â> HERE!
Last summer I attended the Young Living convention and got to see the Savvy Minerals makeup line first hand. I ordered a few pieces at a time and despite my initial hesitation at applying mineral makeup, I have grown to love (no⌠LOVE in capital letters!) my Savvy Minerals makeup collection.Â
Now, I am (ahem) over 40 with imperfect skin, occasional breakouts (darn you, wacky hormones!), dark circles (thanks thin skin gene) and a few sun spots. Not to mention Iâm now looking at a few wrinkles as well. I really didnât think mineral (powder) makeup was for me. It sounded awfully drying and cake-y! Right? Well, I was wrong!Â
Itâs been about 8 months now and I have to tell you, I wake up and before I head downstairs, I brush my teeth and apply my makeup. It feels good! I did a quick video on my routine. It takes me about 10 minutes from start to finish.Â

There was a little bit of a learning curve, a little adjustment to go from hiding behind a thick chemical mask of makeup to a pretty natural non toxic application that feels like Iâm wearing nothing but Iâm SO pleased this this stuff! Itâs not difficult! Itâs just different! Itâs not air brushed/photoshopped/fake looking. Itâs real and natural and I donât know â you really have to experience it to understand. But if youâve been looking for a makeup without the toxic ingredients, if you have sensitive skin, if youâre embracing a chemical free lifestyle and making healthier choices (and even if none of that applies to you) â THEN Savvy Minerals is worth a shot because what we apply to our skin is absorbed and ingredients DO matter.
Happy to know: Savvy Minerals are not tested on animals.Â
And ladies, just taking this baby step with me makes me feel like weâre changing the world! Letâs do this! Doesnât it make you so angry that there are even ALLOWED to be harmful ingredients in products we use and apply to our bodies?! It should!
(Any info on a chemical free hair dye for those grays?! lol)Â
Savvy Minerals are free from harsh toxins, nano particles, paraben, gluten, fillers, talc and so much more! Wellness never looked so good!

Hereâs a little more info about the Savvy Minerals makeup collection:Â
Ingredients matter: Whatâs not in Savvy Minerals makeup?
What IS in Savvy Minerals makeup?
Ingredients like: Kaolin clay, jojoba oil, mica, aloe, pure essential oils, aspen bark extract, arrow root powder, sweet almond oil, beeswax, sunflower oil, vitamin E.
Young Living not only chose not to put the common âyuckâ ingredients inside our makeup, they chose to put the GOOD stuff in there so we can actually have benefits to wearing Savvy Minerals! Check out some of these benefits! No wonder several people have reported calmer, smoother, less irritated skin after wearing Savvy Minerals for a few days!
Want to hear a cool fact about Aspen Bark? Check this out! Not only does Aspen Bark have skin softening properties but it is a natural preservative allowing us to use it instead of those nasty parabens!
Lip Gloss is so trendy right now. Letâs talk about a few things â Did you know that the brighter the color and the longer the wear, the more toxins may be in the formula? And what about those lip glosses that are slick and oily feeling? You can attribute that to the petrochemicals. What?! We lick our lips, eat our food, and sip our drinks all while wearing the stuff. Why would I ever apply anything but the cleanest, more pure ingredients to my MOUTH? Savvy Minerals is made with natural ingredients that you can feel good about licking!
These lip glosses also contain pure peppermint essential oil which gives you a fun little tingle. Wear these alone or layered over your favorite Savvy Mineral lipstick.
What exactly is misting spray? You can see from these benefits that your skin will crave this stuff and youâll get a better coverage and longer wear from your Savvy Minerals Makeup.
And now you can actually get the Savvy Minerals premium starter kit â an entire collection for just $150! It includes:
1 foundation
1 foundation brush
1 blush
3 eye shadows â Eye shadows are one of the most fun tools in your makeup bag. Savvy Minerals offers a couple of matte as well as shimmery choices for your eyes. Unlike other brands, the shimmery colors are very forgiving on mature skin (ahem). You must give them a try! Apply a little shadow for a natural look or build the color for a more dramatic look, utilize the misting spray for a bolder look.Â
1 misting spray
1 5 ml lavender essential oil â supports all things healthy skin (and itâs relaxing and calming too!)
1 lipgloss!

the wholesale membership which means you have lifetime access to wholesale prices with no further obligations. No yearly fees, etc. No need to cancel anything, no automatic charges to your credit card. No products you didnât order showing up at your doorstep. NO obligations to sell. I think itâs just like my membership to Samâs Club but lifetime instead of yearly. Both give me access to shop! Thatâs it.Â

Are you warm or cool?
If you are undecided if you are Warm or Cool, here are some helpful hints from Royal Crown Diamond April Pointer:
1. Check Your Veins â Push your sleeves up and look at the veins on the inside of your wrist. Are they blue or green? If they look more blue, you likely have cool undertones. If the veins look greenish, youâre warm. 2. The Jewelry Trick â Think about whether you look better in silver or gold jewelry Typically, ladies with cool undertones look better in silver and platinum metals, and warm-toned women look better in gold. 3. The Neutral Test â Think about what neutral shades flatter you best. Does your skin, eyes, and face look better in bright white and black hues, or ivory, off-whites, and brown/tan shades? The first means youâre probably cool-toned, and the latter, warm. 4. Eye and Hair Color â Your natural eye and hair colors can help figure out your coloring. Customarily, cool people have eyes that are blue, gray, or green and have blond, brown, or black hair with blue, silver, violet and ash undertones. Conversely, warm-toned women usually have brown, amber, or hazel eyes with strawberry blond, red, brown, or black hair. Their hair tends to have gold, red, orange, or yellow undertones. 5. The Sunâs Effects â When youâre out in the sun, does your skin turn a golden-brown, or does it burn and turn pink first? If you fit into the first category, youâre warm-toned, while cool tones tend to burn.
Still not sure? Here are some more tips from Kathi Glaze Williams: If you know your seasonal colors, then this may help you. Basically, there are light and dark cools and light and dark warms. Light and dark cools are summer and winters. Winters are dark cools and tend to have rich and intense hair and eye colors and look great in bolder shades like black and red. Summers are light cools and look best in pastel shades like rose, periwinkle and sage. Your coloring tends to be more delicate. Autumns are dark warms and look beautiful in the fall colors of moss, rust and terracotta. Think about leaves and spices. Springs are light warms (ME!) Best colors are ones that match our eyes but we love to wear turquoise, watermelon and salmon.
One more tip! Gold is warm and Silver is cool. If you have a piece of fabric, like a shawl, wrap yourself in it and see which one makes you look better. Which color evens out your skin tones and make your eyes stand out?
Do you know what tone you are?
I have a darker sort of olive complexion so Iâm âwarmâ.

I have skincare and makeups in my pouch. I used to have moisturizer, night cream, and make up remover as skincares. Then the makeups were only loose powder, lip balm, lipstick, powder blush, eyeshadow and eyebrow pencil from the same brand, my favorite makeup brand, Maybelline. I really love Maybelline mineral makeups. But I canât get them anymore because the series isnât available at the stores nowadays.
My skin type is oily and acne prone with tanned skin color and warm undertone. All of my first makeup was mineral makeup series by Maybelline and it was just suitable to my skin type right away. Now I donât use them anymore, because Maybelline discontinued producing the mineral makeup series. Currently I have more variative cosmetic brands and beauty kits in my pouch.
Letâs open the pouch!
1. Moisturizer to moist my face. I actually have an oily skin but I still use moisturizer daily. I use Pondâs White Beauty moisturizer cream with SPF 15 to protect my face from the sunlight.
2. Bio Oil mostly as my night oil. I donât use any night cream, just Bio Oil instead. I need to get rid of my dark spots and acne scars.
3. B.B cream. I bought a lighter shade (Cream) because that shade was the only one that available at the store at that time. For my skin tone it doesnât look great so I use it very slightly. Next time I will buy the darker shade: Ochre. This B.B Cream from Pixy has SPF 30 & PA+++ to protect from UVA and UVB. It is said that noncomedogenic and cointains natural whitening extract and vitamin C.
4. Loose Powder
I have two jars of different loose powder because one of my loose powder is almost running out so I bought the other one, also to compare them.
What I bought first was The One Loose Powder by Oriflame. It is quite translucent. So despite the fact that it is still in lighter shade than my face, it doesnât really matter. I use Medium shade, this is the darkest shade they have.
The second one I have is Bare with Me Mineral Loose Powder by Emina. The shade is darker (04 Ebony) than my The One Loose Powder in Medium. It has high coverage, so it looks very cakey and bright if I put too much.
5. Powder Brushes
One powder brush for each loose powder. Giordani Gold Professional Powder Brush for Emina and The One Powder Brush for The One Loose Powder. Emina provides powder puff inside its jar but I prefer to use powder brush. And I donât want to mix the loose powder shades by using only one brush for all.
The One
Giordani Gold
6. Blush. I use Color Show Blush by Maybelline in Creamy Cinnamon color. It is a compact blush without any puff, so I just tap my finger to use it. Handy and practical unlike the former powder blush that I used to apply before. I still love my old blush, the Mineral Loose Powder by Maybelline. They provide a mini brush to apply the powder blush. Unfortunately Maybelline doesnât produce it anymore.
7. Eye Shadow. Trivia eye shadow by Make Over provides three different colors and a mirror. I was confused to pick the natural color combinations between âEmperor Brownâ or âEnchanting Nude Spellâ because they are quite similar. I picked the âEnchanting Nude Spellâ because it has a darker brown color. It provides shimmery white, shimmery beige/peach and matte dark brown colors.
8. Eyebrow Pencil. Still in love with Maybelline so I picked Fashion Brow Cream Pencil in brown color. They used to provide eyebrow brush on the pencil lid, but now⌠not again!
9. Lip Balm
I love lip balm rather than lipstick. So I used to have more lip balm variants than lipsticks. My favorite one is the Baby Lips Cherry Kiss from Maybelline because it has a very light pink color and it has SPF 16! Sorry I have no picture because Iâm running out of it.
And then I have Love Nature Cherry Lip Balm with sheer red color. I have to make sure my finger is clean to put the lip balm on my lips so I am a little bit lazy to use this kind of lip balm in a jar.
Baby Lips Candy Wow. It has more bold tint than the original Baby Lips. The packaging is bigger and just like a crayon so it is pretty cool. But I donât like the red tint in Cherry because I want more natural look not to be eye-catching. However the tint stays very long enough. Unfortunately it doesnât have SPF to protect the lips from UV. Maybe I should try the pink color. Or not. Because it is more expensive than the original one.
10 Lipstick
Giordani Gold Iconic Lipstick by Oriflame in Copper Shine. I like this lipstick because it has SPF 15, but the color doesnât suit my dark lips. The color is shiny and shimmery orange to brown.
Kiss Proof by Menow. This lipstick is soft and powdery so I donât feel like wearing lipstick. It doesnât stain when you drink or kiss. If you put a little lip balm before using this lipstick, it becomes more moist but it would stain.
The color Number 001 is really shiny with shimmers. My lips look cracking with this color because my lips are darker than this shade and the texture of the lipstick pigment is almost dry. I need to put lip balm first so the color could be completely blended on my lips.
Number 011 is dark red or maroon. This color is truly matte. I have to apply really thin unless I would look like Gothic. Actually this shade is quite similar with the color of my upper lip.
11. Milk Cleanser and Toner by Pondâs White Beauty to remove my make up. I use them to clean my face in the morning sometimes or before sleeping if I donât take a bath and wash my face with facial foam.
12. Pencil Sharpener that can be used for eyebrow pencil and my Menow Kiss Proof soft lipstick. There is a part like a stick that can be taken off to clean up the clogged hole.
13. Mirror by Giordani Gold. It has a flat mirror and a concave mirror to magnify the reflection.
14. Folding Scissors just in case I need to cut or trim something. I will trim my split end hair if there is any.
Thatâs all inside my beauty pouch. I donât use makeups every day, just for events and special occasions. Even when I go out somewhere I donât usually use makeup. If you have a makeups or cosmetic products to be reviewed. Just let me know, I can write a honest review for you.
Now, you tell me whatâs in your beauty pocket in your blog and give me the link to your blog post. Iâll be right there soon to check it out. Thank you for reading mine. Now, let me zip my pouch back!
X.O.X.O
Intan Rastini.
Whatâs in My Beauty Pouch I have skincare and makeups in my pouch. I used to have moisturizer, night cream, and make up remover as skincares.

29 New Year's Eve Beauty Looks No One Else Will Be Wearing There are a lot of traditions that surround New Years Eve, from the puzzling (why do we drop a giant ball from the sky in the middle of Times Square?) to the classic (cheers-ing a packed room of people with plastic flutes of Champagne), but some would say the best one of all is getting to really go all-out with your hair, makeup, and outfit. After all, is there a better time to rock a new trend than when everyone's up to their noses with glitter, streamers, and confetti? Maybe it's the resolutions or the nature of the evening's festivities, but New Year's awakens our bolder side â the one that's excited to play with the colors, textures, and shapes we hesitate over the other days. The holiday may still be two weeks away, but we've already started scouring the red carpets and Instagram for inspiration. And guess what? The options are endless. Layers of electric glitter, cascades of textured curls, and works of art created with just eyeliner await you in the slides ahead. Here's to a totally unpredictable NYE look. Read These Stories Next: 12 Before After Photos That Show How Important Your Hair Part Is I Drank A Gallon Of Water A Day For Better Skin Here's What Happened This Eye-Makeup Trend Is Going To Be Huge It's SO Easy To Copy Mismatched Texture Juxtaposing matte texture with glossy is a great way to keep your makeup looking fresh and modern â just ask Zendaya. Here, the star contrasted glossy lids (we love these eye glosses ) and dewy skin with super-matte lips. Midas Touch Rihanna rocked the beauty world when she launched this gold highlighter. The best part of this look, though, is that it isn't meant to be subtle â in fact, quite the opposite. Pile the shade onto cheekbones and brow bones and let the pigment speak for itself. Looking to cop the look? Model Joan Smalls is wearing Fenty Beauty's Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in Trophy Wife . Photo: Bryan Bedder/Getty Images/FENTY PUMA By Rihanna. Dotted liner One carefully-placed dot on your lower lashline is an easy way to add a hit of intrigue to your look â not to mention make your eyes look big and doe-eyed. Simply grab your favorite eyeliner (we love this one that's designed for dotting) and go to town. Photo: Matt Winkelmeyer/Getty Images/LA ART SHOW 2017. Pink Shadow In case you haven't noticed from all the millennial pink furniture , clothing , and food , the shade isn't going away anytime soon. This NYE, lean in and make the color the focal point of your look Ă la makeup artist Celine Bernaerts. Not sure where to start? Look no further . Slicked Hair If you've been on the fence about trying slicked-back hair, the time to give the trend a go is now. Pull your hair back in a tight, low bun and smooth your hair down using your favorite gel or pomade . The look bodes well with pretty much any makeup look or outfit. Photo: Frederick M. Brown/Getty Images. Duo-Chrome Smoky Eye Leave it to makeup artist Hung Vanngo and Selena Gomez to whip up the easiest way to elevate a smoky eye. After applying a base of black or brown shadow, tap on a layer of duo-chrome shimmer (we love the one in this kit ) to spice things up. Red Hot Lips Not a big eyeshadow fan? Make like the models at Temperly London's Spring 2018 show by pairing a bold red lip with bare eyes . Photo: Victor VIRGILE/GammaÂRapho/Getty Images. Disco Eyes You didn't think we forgot about glitter, did you? We love this '80s-inspired look on Lily Collins. Tap some glitter (we love these ) all over your lid and finish off with a few layers of mascara. Bonus points if you pair it with bouncy curls. Hair Accessories Janelle MonĂĄe has been whipping out a slew of exciting hair accessories on the red carpet, each of which have a profound meaning to the artist . Try it out for yourself by pulling inspiration from everyday objects, like gold twine and googly eyes . Photo: David Livingston/Getty Images. Graphic Eyes Tired of your go-to cat eye? Try a graphic take on a '60s cut crease Ă la ZoĂŤ Kravitz. Start by lining your eyes like you normally would. Once you've finished your flick, extend the line up into your crease. Photo: Dominique Charriau/WireImage. Frosty Lids Frosty silver eyeshadow doesn't just feel seasonal, it brightens the eyes, too. Make like Gigi Hadid and pair it with a thin cat-eye for extra definition. Rust Shadow It may be the dead of winter, but that doesn't mean we're ditching our favorite warm bronze and rust hues. Just be sure to wear a generous helping of mascara to define your eyes. Rainbow Eyes For those itching to dip their toes in color, look no further than Lupita Nong'o's rainbow eye. Simply grab your favorite colored cream shadows and sweep the shades onto your lids. Think of this look as the makeup version of an Impressionist painting â the colors may look random up close, but take one step back and it all comes together. Photo: Dia Dipasupil/Getty Images/Entertainment Weekly. Metallic Smoky Eye This month, swap out your black and gray shadows for something metallic instead. This cream-to-powder shadow from Tarte is richly pigmented and lasts for hours on our lids. Floating Crease The floating crease is 2017's minimalist recreation of the '60s cut crease. Grab your favorite liner or shadow and gently trace the color along the crease of your eye. Finish off with some mascara and you're good to go. Photo: Bertrand Rindoff Petroff/Getty Images. Mismatched Eyes Why stick to one shade of eyeshadow when you can have two? This look isn't for the faint of heart, but it packs a punch. Beachy Beauty Beachy waves, golden lids, and glossy lips are a welcome departure from the festive garb the rest of your friends and family will be wearing on New Years. Photo: Bryan Bedder/Getty Images/FENTY PUMA By Rihanna. Burgundy Babe This NYE, double up on burgundy by wearing the shade on your eyes and lips like actress Sarah Hyland. Face Jewels Face jewels are cool when used in the right ways (read: not placed in culturally-appropriative places ). Copy the models at Jeremy Scott's Spring 2018 show and place them under the eyes for a fun pop of shine that â bonus! â also obscures unwanted undereye bags. Photo: Victor VIRGILE/GammaÂRapho/Getty Images. Glitter Lips If you haven't tried glitter lips yet, this is your chance. Using model Taylor Hill as your inspo, dab some cosmetic glitter on top of your favorite lipstick. Double Liner A handful of models at Philipp Plein's Spring 2018 show wore double liner â a sleek cat eye on the top lid, and a sharp line on the bottom. Pair it with a wash of pastel shadow for a look that's at once edgy and romantic. Photo: Victor VIRGILE/GammaÂRapho/Getty Images. Larger Than Life Hair Accessories We loved the larger-than-life hair accessories in Plein's show, too. Sadly, we don't see ourselves weaving seven packs of hair extensions into our hair , but colorful faux flowers? That's something we can get on board with. Photo: Victor VIRGILE/GammaÂRapho/Getty Images. Studio 54 Is there a better time to dress like a full-on disco ball than on New Years Eve? Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks perfect in her silver glitter and sequined gown. Red Alert Red shadow is a wildly fun alternative to neutrals. Since the shade is so stunning on its own, pair it simply with dewy skin and a little lip balm. Upside-Down Eyeliner A layer of colorful bottom liner is a quick way to jazz up an otherwise neutral makeup look. Case in point: This fresh look on Priyanka Chopra. Photo: Steve Granitz/WireImage. Twiggy Lashes The models at Dior's Spring 2018 show paired clumpy, Twiggy-style lashes with fresh skin and bare lips for an updated take on the '60s makeup classic. Photo: Courtesy of Dior. Winged-Out Smoky Eye For those of you who can't choose between a smoky eye or cat-eye, we've got a solution for you: Do both. Create a winged-out shape with your shadow by employing some tape or Shadow Shields for crisp, clean lines. Photo: Jon Kopaloff/FilmMagic. Creative Shapes New Year's Eve is the perfect time to get creative with glitter. We're pulling inspiration from Anna Sui's Spring 2018 show, where models walked the runway wearing lines of metallic shimmer across their top and bottom lids. Photo: Victor VIRGILE/GammaÂRapho/Getty Images. Inner Corner Strobing Inner-corner strobing is one of the easiest ways to inject color into your look in seconds. Simply tap an iridescent shadow (we love to reach for baby pinks, blues, and oranges) onto the inner corners of your eyes and finish off with a few coats of mascara. Like this post? There's more. Sheâs pan and loves her gf v v much. Her parents were shit and she had to leave home as soon as she could. Her parents gave her the name Megan but she really hated it so she gos by Aria. She doesnât really know all of her parents lineage but her mother was of middle eastern descent way back in the family that no one really remembers. She doesnt want to find out and prefers looking to the future. Sitara is an atheist and has a more traditional path. Shes bi and attractd to nb peeps and women but not men, sheâs also polyam which shes v v happy her gf accepts. Her parents were better but they fell out of contact a while ago. Despite not believing in Ariaâs deities, she lets her worship on her own and doesnt bother her. They met in an art store, both needing to get red ribbon for a love spell. Bonus: Aria means song and Sitara means poem
cerulean: do you believe in true love? - I do, but not just the romantic kind. I think that true platonic love is also super important.
shoreline: if you could become fluent in another language, which would you pick and why? - French because Iâm trying to learn it rn and itâs a royal pain. Eventually I want to learn all the Latin based languages
tsunami: describe a dream outfit of yours. - Someday Iâm gonna get cute heeled boots and wear them with tights and a skirt and like a flowy long sleeve black shirt I have and do all purple makeup this will happen someday
riptide: are you introverted or extroverted? Are you happy with this? - Iâm somewhere in the middle. I love talking to my friends and like that but its also really nice to just shut down skype and tumblr and read a book, yknow?
hurricane: describe a strange habit of yours. - I tend to carefully chack all the walls and corners of a room while Iâm entering it, like just look around and check for anything weird, even if Iâve been there a lot. This happens with places that feel specific ways tho, like they just have suspicious energy.
Ty so much for asking, friend! ^u^

Criticsâ Choice Awards 2020: The Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks on the Red Carpet
Award season just got underway with last week's Golden Globes, and now we've got another batch of celebrity beauty looks to pore over, from the annual Critics' Choice Awards!
Held last night in Los Angeles, the event always calls for a creative approach to glamourâexemplified this year by Lupita Nyong'o's dramatic updo, Olivia Wilde's negative-space cat eyes and Zendaya's pink shadow and box braids.
Take a look at the must-see skin, hair and makeup of the night:
Lupita Nyongâo

Close-up of Lupita Nyong'o at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Has any celebrity ever glowed like Lupita is glowing on this red carpet? No highlighter could create this kind of luminosity! But the makeup is impressive, tooâespecially the warm red lipstick and copper eyeliner. I'm also digging the cloud-like bun with gold wiring.Â
Lupita is wearing: Moisturizer ⢠Foundation in 555 Suede C ⢠Highlighter in Lumières d'Or Rose â˘Â Eyeshadow in Haute Couture ⢠Eyeshadow in Terre de Sienne ⢠Eyeliner in Cuivre ⢠Lipstick in Rubiez
Olivia Wilde
Olivia Wilde at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.

Cat eyes are my favourite makeup look for Olivia, so of course I'm obsessed with this. If you look closely, the wings actually have a tiny bit of negative (open) space! Light pink lipstick and a soft bun keep the focus on the eyes. Â
Zendaya
Zendaya at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Zendaya at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Zendaya is taking more and more risks on the red carpet, and I love it! Here, she gave new meaning to "matchy-matchy" by pairing her pink eyeshadow with a futuristic pink breastplate (!!). Box braids down to her waist give it even more flair.
Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Anne Hathaway at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
It's been nearly a year since we've seen Anne (who recently welcomed her second child). The only thing she's changed up is her hair colour, by going darker and ditching the red. I think this makeup is just lovely, especially the brown liner to match her hair and eyes. I also love the juxtaposition of a peachy blush with a pinky lip.
Florence Pugh
Florence Pugh at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Florence Pugh at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Florence is a new face on the red carpet this year, and with looks like this, she's one to watch. How fabulous is that shimmery, almost wet-looking white eyeshadow? She also has fantastic brows, amped up with two shades of pencil (which her makeup artist says creates the most natural effect).
Florence is wearing: Foundation in 4 ⢠Concealer in 2 ⢠Highlighter in D'Or ⢠Eyeshadow in Hadaka (on cheeks) ⢠Blush in La Rosee du Soir and La Vie En Rose ⢠Eyeshadow in Kira Kira ⢠Eyeshadow in Starr, Scintillante and Rosâtre ⢠Eyeliner in Mousseux â˘Â Mascara in Noir ⢠Brow pencil in Brunette and Rousse ⢠Lip liner in Faire La Bise ⢠Lipstick in Gamine
Alison Brie
Alison Brie at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Alison Brie at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
This has to be a personal best for Alison! I think it's mainly down to that amazing lip colour (created with not one but three products) and the loose, wavy updo. The orange dress also adds something, because it wouldn't have been as exciting with black. My only gripe is the way her brows were filled in. Hair-like strokes would be better!
Alison is wearing: Eye mask ⢠Tinted lip balm in Berry ⢠Lip stain in AT03 ⢠Lipstick in Bang
Joey King
Joey King at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Joey King at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
After a heavier look at the Golden Globes, Joey lightened things up considerably with this subtly winged green eyeshadow (actually three liners). With understated lips and vintage-inspired waves, it's classic with a twist.Â
Joey is wearing: Primer ⢠Eyeliner in Deep End, Overdrive and Mildew
Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse Ronan at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Saoirse Ronan at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
I'm a fan of Saorise's avant garde aesthetic, but sometimes there are aspects that seem a bit too "mature." Like this ladylike red lip and one piece of curled hair... I don't get it! I think something more casual would've worked better with this high, buttoned-up neckline. But I do love the shimmery peach shadow, and the fact that she was wearing bright yellow nail polish!
Saoirse is wearing: Eye cream ⢠Foundation in 10 Beige ⢠Eyeshadow in Warm Memories ⢠Eyeshadow in Quartz Rose â˘Â Mascara in Deep Eros â˘Â Brow pencil in Blond Clair ⢠Lipstick in Rouge Spectaculaire â˘Â Lip gloss in Crystal Clear
Kate Beckinsale
Kate Beckinsale at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Kate Beckinsale at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
There's nothing fashion-forward about Kate's ensemble, but I appreciate that she experimented just a wee little bit here. It's the smoky pink shadow all the way around her eyes that is newâand really quite pretty with the slightly warmer pink blush and lip colour. (Seriously, her lips look so good!) I'd prefer it without the false lashes, but we can't have everything.
Awkwafina
Awkwafina at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Awkwafina at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Awkwafina is back with another red lip, same as at the Golden Globes, but this time she wore it with long waves and bright gold winged eyeshadow. She has a more relaxed vibe here, but I'm really on the fence about that goldâI think it may be competing too much with the yellow dress. Also, her brows should be ashier.
Kristen Bell
Kristen Bell at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Kristen Bell at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Chartreuse is not an easy shade to wear, so Kristen basically opted out of any strong makeup colours and stuck with peachy, rosy neutrals instead. It's fine, I guess, but she never used to be this boring! As for the slicked-back bob, I think Reese did it better.
Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Lucy Hale at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Then we have Lucy, who at least triedâbut didn't quite succeed with this mint and brownish-nude palette. Honestly, I think it's the most unflattering makeup I've seen on her. The colours don't do anything for her skin tone, and the eyes just seem unnecessarily heavy. Jewel tones are your friend, Lucy!
Lucy is wearing: Illuminator in Blush ⢠False lashes ⢠Brow colour
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Jennifer Lopez at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
I'm happy to report that JLo didn't cake on her makeup like she did at the Golden Globes. In fact, this would be quite gorgeous if it weren't for the two-toned skin and her signature ring-around-the-lips. The hairstyle is very elegant, she looks great in the peachy-pink tones, and I can even live with these false lashes.
Mandy Moore
Mandy Moore at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Close-up of Mandy Moore at the 2020 Critics' Choice Awards.
Surprisingly, I was most disappointed by Mandy's look (and I never say that!). I'm not opposed to a low chignon, but something about this hairstyle is so matronly. Her lashes are also insanely clumpy, and combined with the liner look amateurish. On the plus side, the peach lipstick is very pretty.
Mandy is wearing: Eyeshadow in Dusk and BrÝlÊe

Bobbi Brown Make-up Tutorial
Check out my new post on http://www.myglassesandme.co.uk/2017/02/bobbi-brown-make-tutorial/
Bobbi Brown Make-up Tutorial
I was invited along by Safilo Eyewear to have a makeup tutorial with Bobbi Brown cosmetics. You may think why would a glasses manufacturing house Safilo invite me to have a makeup tutorial? Well, they are the one bringing the Bobbi Brown eyewear to live so do you see the relation now? I have a confession to make before writing this post. I am not that into my make-up and I wear the bare minimum every day. Most days if I am not out in meetings, I will either go make up free or just wear mascara and some Benefit rosy tint and that is it. Makeup and makeup brushes scare me because there are so many of them.
I know Bobbi Brown is all about enhancing our feature instead of over doing it, their eyewear range follow the same philosophy. The eyewear collection all uses neutral tones and it is all about combining makeup to complete your look. It was a very eye-opening lesson for me because how you wear your makeup especially lip colour can have a massive impact on the finishing look with your specs.
Bobbi Brown Make Over Before and After shot
Before I went there I had the idea of picking the brightest frame they got, do a makeup look around that then pick a classic frame and do an everyday look around them. However, when I got there and got chatting to my makeup artist Kacey, she completely changed my mind. She wanted to give me as much of a natural look as possible because from conversations she can tell I am not a massive makeup lover
In the end, we went for the tiniest amount of foundation, a dark grey eyeshadow, mascara and the famous Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. When I looked into the mirror I did think âwow! I got a lot of makeup onâ In reality, Kacey really didnât put that much on me but because IÂ donât wear a lot of makeup, it was a shock. However, I did feel beautiful but still very natural. I felt as beautiful as I did on my wedding day.
Bobbi Brown Make Over Before (left) and After (right) shot
Before the makeup tutorial, I picked two frames to wear with my new look, they were actually the same frame but in a different colour. One in black and the other in tortoiseshell, to my surprise after my makeover I felt those frames didnât really suit me, the bright lippy helped to brighten them up but I didnât like them as much as I did. I then went to pick more frames to wear. I even went a bit daring and tried on the brightest pair of red glasses which I did try on in the beginning but took them off straight away because I looked hideous. Again, after the makeover, those red frames really worked and looked 100 times better. It really was amazing to see what a bit of makeup can do. With the red frame, Kacey kept my lip in a nude colour to keep the look wow without being OTT.
Bobbi Brown Make Over Result
Then I picked another tortoiseshell with a hint of pink and rose gold metal (totally stunning frame). I fell in love with them right in the beginning but again looked horrendous on me. After the makeover the frame looked so different and Kacey even put on a bright orange lip colour to show me how that can add to the overall look. When the orange lip colour went on and I looked in the mirror, I felt I was ready to go for a big night out. I felt glamours and fabulous. So, yes. It was an education for me and totally amazed how makeup can alter the look of our spectacles so much.

45 Best Beauty Tips from Makeup and Skincare Experts to Improve Your Beauty Routine
45 Best Beauty Tips from Makeup and Skincare Experts to Improve Your Beauty Routine Since the standard evolution process from the "am I doing this right?" beauty novice to the "could be a vlogger" makeup expert involves much trial-and-error, we saved you the time and effort by asking makeup and skin experts directly about their best skin and beauty shortcuts. Whether you're looking to upgrade your makeup game, prevent skin wrinkles early, or achieve a JLo-esque glow at homeâfind 45 expert-endorsed secrets to make your beauty routine better and easier, below. Perfecting Your Face Beat Getty Images 1. To sop up oil and refresh makeup, lightly mist your face with toner, then pat with a tissue, says Eva Scrivo, makeup artist and owner of the eponymous New York City salon. Finish with a dusting of loose powder. 2. For a modern take on luminous skin, try pearlized pink-sand shades on lids and cheeks. With a pale matte mouth, you'll look rock-club cool (and not too disco). Pair pink lids with a natural, understated face. 3. The best way to make a makeup change is to choose the feature you get complimented on most, and play it up with a color that's the opposite of what you normally wear. Like neutrals? Go for color. Like color? Try earth tones. 4. Instead of shading hollows of your face, switch to highlighting. Using paler hues, accentuate under the brows for a mini lift, and dust a lighter blush along the cheekbone to plump cheeks. 5. To keep eye shadow from creasing (unless you're going for a cut crease look), eliminate as much oil as possible from your lids. Use an eye shadow base or pressed powder before applying color. Looser, more powdery shadows are best. Maintaining Cara Delevingne-esque Brows Getty Images 1. Overzealous tweezing can lead to emaciated brows and bald patches, where hair only grows back irregularly. Use a protein-spiked brow gel to stimulate healthy growth and brow fillers to shade in problem areas. 2. Full brows have been spotted on all the runways and are the hottest trend right now. Keep unruly brows looking polished with a slick of clear brow gel. Dab highlighter directly under the brow boneâyou'll achieve an instant eye-lift effect! 3. The space between your eyebrows should be equal to the width of your eyes, and start where they line up with your nostrils. Follow our complete brow guide from Glamsquad expert Kelli Bartlett here, from shaping to plucking and trimming. Concealing Skin Imperfections Like a Pro Getty Images 1. Concealer is only half the battle when it comes to fixing flaws. To perfect your complexion (no matter the skin tone), try lipstick in a warm pink. "It distracts from blemishes and other imperfections," says makeup artist Morgen Schick. 2. Trying to look well rested when you aren't? Avoid piling on the foundation. Use a tinted moisturizer instead, followed by a beige eye pencilâit counteracts any redness around your eyes. 3. Large pores are caused by two things: genetics and age. Want to shrink them? Go to a dermatologist or a spa to get microdermabrasion treatments, a type of facial that gently sloughs off the dead surface layer of skin. 4. When covering up blemishes, select a color for what you're concealing. For example, orange-tinged concealers counteract blueish under-eye circles. A green concealer hides redness. The idea is that concealers act as neutralizers. 5. Even if you didn't get enough sleep last night, nothing wakes up a face like bright cheek color. Consider a cream blush with red or pink overtones. Blend and taper into the apples of your cheeks and set with loose powder. Preventing Blemishes Before They Start 1. Identify blemish patterns on your face. Look at the way you hold the telephone, whether you sleep more on one side of your face or if you hold your head up with one hand when sitting. Try to avoid doing these things. 2. Go easy on the foundation. Makeup used to cover up pimples tends to clog pores and cause more blemishes. Try using a concealer with a zit-zapping ingredient like salicylic acid. 3. Breaking out? Use a deep-cleansing mask or chemical face peel once a week to rid your skin of impurities and dead skin cells that may be clogging pores. Make sure you're using the right type of mask for your skin type. 4. Don't forget to moisturize! The best way to prevent skin from overproducing oil, explains Erica Suppaâresearch scientist and founder of Fresh Faced Skincareâis to use a good moisturizer to balance out water and oil levels. Accentuating Your Eyes Getty Images 1. To accentuate your upper lash line without creating spidery fringe, apply a strip of false lashes meant for your lower lashes from corner to corner. They're shorter than traditional falsies, so they'll thicken your lash line without elongating too much. 2. Keep your eyes open when applying liquid linerâotherwise your line will look uneven. Apply by drawing three dashes, one on the corner, in the middle, and on the inside corner of your eye. Then go back and connect the dashes for a smooth line. 3. Want to make your small eyes look bigger? Stay away from dark eyeshadows. Start with a nude base, then apply shadow a shade or two darker than the base to your crease and use your finger to blend the color up toward your eyebrow. 4. When applying fake eyelashes, put a little more glue on the edges than the rest of the lash, since they're more likely to come loose. Blow on the glue for a few seconds for a better hold. 5. To copy the bevy of celebs sporting smoldering eyes on the red carpet, stay away from blue hues, which can make you look like you have under-eye circles. Instead, go for black, gray, brown, orâif you want "color"âdark green shadows and liners. Plumping Your Lips Getty Images 1. For full lips go for a glossy look. Try first outlining the perimeter of your lips using a concealer brush dipped in bronzer two shades deeper than your skin tone. Then, top pout with gold, peach, or coral gloss. 2. When your lips look larger, it helps to slim your face down. The best way to beef up your mouth is to dab a shimmery gloss in the middle of your lower lip (on top of a lip-tone lipstick or gloss). 3. Play up your poutâ it reminds people you're no pushoverâwith a deep, dramatic lipstick. Use your finger for a personally stamped finish. Highlight the area above your bow with a brush of gold eyeshadow. Moisturizing Dry and Inflamed Skin Getty Images 1. Rose and lavender work wonders in calming skin inflammation, according to Michele VanLandingham, ingredient information specialist for Dr. Hauschka Skin Care. Olive oil is also a great cure for all things dry, including peeling cuticles. 2. Prevent dead-skin pileup by using a pumice stone in the showerâand don't be tempted into using a razor. That will only cause more skin to grow back. Pamper your feet with moisturizing facial masks. 3. Lance Etchison, skin-care aesthetician at Bluemercury in Washington, D.C., suggests incorporating one new product at a time. "And, since most active ingredients take effect over time, don't give up if you don't see immediate results," he advises. 4. For daytime moisturizing, think layering: Use an antioxidant serum under a face cream, topped off with sunblock. To prevent flaking, consider light exfoliation once a week. Moisturizing without exfoliating first can result in breakouts and dull skin. 5. Water, paper, chemicals: all dry up soft hands. "You have to fight back every day," says Jan Arnold, founder of Creative Nail Design. "Exfoliate to slough off dead cells, then slather on a rich cream to compensate for how few oil glands you have." 6. Here's a secret for super-smooth, quenched lips: Use your richest eye cream on your lips! Note: Be sure it's a "hydrating" formula, not "firming"âwhich is code for drying. 7. Sure, it's chilly in the morning, but don't be tempted to crank up the heat in the shower. Hot water followed by cool, dry air leads to rough skin. To lock in moisture post-shower, pat yourself dry, and coat skin in an alpha-hydroxy lotion. 8. For flawless skin choose a cleanser and moisturizer appropriate for your skin type that you can use a.m. and p.m., and then supplement it weekly with a purifying face mask. Also, consider using a nightly skin treatment that exfoliates dead skin cells. Optimizing Your Nail Care Getty Images 1. We love the look of a perfect sheer manicure on long, tapered talons as much as the next woman, but who's got the time? For equally elegant, less fussy nails, go short, round, and dark. File your nails so they line up with the tips of your fingers and round the corners. 2. Low on cash but still want to indulge? Pamper your feet. If you're going to indulge in any spa treatment, go for a pedicure. It costs more than a manicure (though much less than a body treatment), and it lasts for weeks. 3. For those using sunscreen and bug spray in the summer, Grete Olsen of Frenchies Modern Nail Care recommends wiping it off your nails after applying. "The chemicals in those products can break down the top coat and polish, shortening the wear of the manicure." 4. In order to make sure that your nail polish lasts longer, Autumn Munter of Frenchies Modern Nail Care recommends applying glitter nail polish on top for a longer-lasting finish that will also add a hint of sparkle. 5. Rae Getter of Frenchies Modern Nail Care also recommends applying cuticle oil (she loves the Zeva Nails Pen) to help keep nails hydrated and hang nail-free. " Dry nails don't flex, so polish will chip more easily" without the extra hydration, she says. Creating a Natural-Looking Glow Getty Images 1. Naturally pale but want a healthy glow? The good news is that you don't need a lot of makeup to achieve great-looking skin, says New York makeup artist Paula Dorf. For natural-looking results, apply glow products to the apples of your cheeks, the bridge of your nose, your hairline, and chin. 2. Sidestep streaks by mixing self-tanner with moisturizer before applying. This dilutes the formula so you achieve a more natural, less stripe-like effect. See our guide for the best no-streak self-tanners here. 3. To avoid an orange-y look with self-tanner, after application, wipe a cotton swab or a damp paper towel across your eyebrows and along your hairline. Counteracting Wrinkles Getty Images 1. Treating your neck like your face doesn't work. "Your neck ages in its own way and so has special needs," explains Adrienne Denese, M.D., Ph.D. "Neck tendons shrink over time and become more visible, so the thin skin in this area doesn't respond to lasers and peels as well as your face does." She suggests good posture and neck stretches. 2. "I frequently see women with deeper wrinkles on one side of their faceâthe side they sleep on, of course," says New York dermatologist Heidi A. Waldorf. To avoid "sleep lines," opt for silk or satin pillowcases and pile on the antiaging products. 3. Avoid prolonged sun exposure! Says derm Dr. Sameer Bashey, not only do the sun's rays cause skin cancer, but also photo aging. Steer clear of direct contact with the sun during peak hours (between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) and nix tanning beds for good. 4. Use Retin-A or retinol regularly. "Vitamin A-derived creams are known to prevent fine lines and wrinkles. However they only help with fine lines and not deep wrinkles from volume loss. Retin-A or retinol need to be used as part of a comprehensive skin care program to rejuvenate skin," says Bashey. SAG Awards 2020: The Best Skin, Hair and Makeup Looks on the Red Carpet
As award season marches on, this week brings another round of celebrity beauty looks to inspire us, courtesy of last night's SAG Awards.
Also known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the ceremony celebrates the best in television and filmâwhich means we get a double dose of glam from our favourite red carpet stars.
These were the best skin, hair and makeup moments:
ZoĂŤ Kravitz
ZoĂŤ Kravitz at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of ZoÍ Kravitz at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Two words: Blown. Away! ZoĂŤ looks like a modern-day Audrey Hepburn in this gown, gloves and elegant hair and makeup. The peach tones are doing incredible things for her skinâwhich isn't too covered up, since we can still see her frecklesâand I love the cat eyes and subtle shading of her lids. She is flawless!
Dakota Fanning
Dakota Fanning at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Dakota Fanning at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Dakota traded her usual girly aesthetic for a sexy, beachy vibe, and I'm here for it. Especially the messy, mermaid hair texture, which dresses down the sparkly green dress. (I think it's bad lighting that is making her blonde seem so yellow!) The makeup couldn't be more delicate, with sheer washes of peach on her lids and cheeks.
Dakota is wearing: Tinted lip balm in Super Cashmere
Lupita Nyongâo
Lupita Nyong'o at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Lupita Nyong'o at the 2020 SAG Awards.
You don't often see old Hollywood hairstyles with Afro hair texture, but Lupita's 1940s-inspired updo shows us how it's done. Then, she matched her makeup to her dress by layering white next to black eyeliner. The rich berry blush and lipstick bring it all together.
Lupita is wearing: Blush in Haute Couture â˘Â Eyeliner in Black Vinyl ⢠Eyeliner in French Lace ⢠False lashes in C.10 ⢠Lipstick in Jezebel
Reese Witherspoon
Reese Witherspoon at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Reese Witherspoon at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Reese is wearing the exact same flippy bob hairstyle we saw at the Golden Globes, but now I like it even better. I think it's because the makeup colours are a lot more flattering hereâno brown tones, and a cherry lipstick that brings her face to life. All together, the effect is young and fresh.
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Scarlett Johansson at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Scarlett is back on her game with this slick, tight updo and bright orangey-red lipstick. I love how healthy her skin looks (and there's no sign of the white under-eyes we saw at the Golden Globes!). Her eyes are emphasized with warm shimmery shadow, a sweep of liquid liner, and a pop of gold at the inner corners.
Sophie Turner
Sophie Turner at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Sophie Turner at the 2020 SAG Awards.
While it doesn't have the wow factor of her 2019 Met Gala look, Sophie's long waves and peachy-pink makeup are super pretty. Rather than dark eyeliner or shadow, she's relying on extra long lashes to make her eyes pop. I also like the light dusting of sparkly shadow on top of the pink.Â
Joey King
Joey King at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Joey King at the 2020 SAG Awards.
I appreciate how Joey keeps mixing it up this award season. This time, it's all about the slicked-back hair, extra long earrings and sultry, smoky charcoal eyeshadow. Although I'd prefer a slightly lighter touch, this is probably my favourite look I've seen on her yet. (I hope she tones down the lip injections, though!)
Joey is wearing: Moisturizer ⢠Primer ⢠Foundation in 20CP ⢠Concealer in 20CP ⢠Powder in 30NN ⢠Blush in Going Native ⢠Setting spray â˘Â Eyeshadow primer ⢠Eyeshadow in Stranded, Jet and Drift ⢠Eyeshadow in Midnight Cowboy â˘Â Eyeliner in Perversion and Smoke ⢠Mascara ⢠Brow pencil in Cafe Kitty ⢠Lip liner in Liar ⢠Lipstick in Ex-Girlfriend
Michelle Williams
Michelle Williams at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Michelle Williams at the 2020 SAG Awards.
After her stiff waves and orange dress at the Golden Globes, I'm happy to see Michelle upping the glam factor. The makeup is much more intense than usual, with long lashes, black liner and a rich red lip. (And stars are just like usâthey get pimples, too!) But it's the Art Deco barrette and angular waved bob that really make this stand out.
Michelle is wearing: Serum ⢠Moisturizer ⢠Eye cream ⢠Lip balm
Camila Mendes
Camila Mendes at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Camila Mendes at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Is anyone else getting Kendall Jenner vibes from Camila? She didn't take any risks with this simple hair and makeup, but it still looks lovely. The key elements are matte skin, matte rose lipstick and soft lashesâwith her unusual arched brows framing her face.
Rachel Brosnahan
Rachel Brosnahan at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Rachel Brosnahan at the 2020 SAG Awards.
I loved Rachel's mid-length soft waves at the Golden Globes, but she's had a haircut since then and possibly a blonder hair colour. I'm not as into this textured bob, which seems too trendy for her, but I do love these smoky eyes. And she has gorgeous skin and brows.
Rachel is wearing: Foundation in Porcelaine ⢠Concealer in 1 ⢠Powder in 1 ⢠Powder ⢠Blush in Glow (as highlighter) ⢠Blush in Petal ⢠Eyeshadow in Steel, Marine and Baby Pink ⢠Eyeshadow in Silky Rose, Metallic Pink and Silky Steel ⢠Eyeliner in Sparkling Black ⢠Mascara in Deep Black ⢠Brow pencil in Cappuccino ⢠Brow gel ⢠Lip balm ⢠Lip liner in Nude ⢠Tinted lip balm in Nude
Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Jennifer Garner at the 2020 SAG Awards.
I'm glad Jennifer wore her hair down in these textured waves, because otherwise, her ensemble would've looked way too "prom." I can't fault the au naturel makeupâjust a hint of mascara and a pinky tinted balm on the lipsâbut I feel like she deserves a stronger overall style statement. We need more edge!
Lili Reinhart
Lili Reinhart at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Lili Reinhart at the 2020 SAG Awards.
If you feel like you've seen this before, you haveâLili wore a similar tight updo and smoky eye makeup the last time she made a red carpet appearance, at TIFF. It's nothing groundbreaking, but it shows off her beautiful skin, and I love the shading around her eyes.
Madeline Brewer
Madeline Brewer at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Madeline Brewer at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Madeline didn't shy away from colour, choosing a bright turquoise dress and even brighter orange lipstick to go with her signature red hair. I don't find it the most sophisticated combination, though, and the hair seems a bit too casual for the outfit. What I do love are her brows, skin finish and barely-there eye makeup.
Madeline is wearing: Foundation ⢠Lipstick in Laugh Louder
Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Margot Robbie at the 2020 SAG Awards.
What is going on with Margot this award season? She's still rocking the dark roots from the Golden Globes, and in this loose bun, it truly looks like she didn't have time to go to the hairdresser's. The makeup seems like a repeat, tooâjust flushed cheeks and a slightly deeper lip colour. Margot, you are better than this!
Margot is wearing: Moisturizer ⢠Skin balm ⢠Blush in Rosewood ⢠Eyeshadow in Blurry Blue
Jennifer Aniston
Jennifer Aniston at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Jennifer Aniston at the 2020 SAG Awards.
This is classic Jen, but at least she didn't wear black this time. I think her hair looks better in this straight-ish blowout, rather than the waves she had at the Golden Globes. The makeup is exactly the same. Pretty, but predictable.
Nicole Kidman
Nicole Kidman at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Nicole Kidman at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Nicole should wear blue more oftenâit looks so good with her blue eyes, pale skin and strawberry blonde hair. I like the matching hint of silvery blue shadow at the inner corners of her eyes (although I don't love the lashes), and the vintage waves look thick and luscious.
Millie Bobby Brown
Millie Bobby Brown at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Millie Bobby Brown at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Believe it or not, Millie is only 15... but here, she's been styled like someone 20 or 30 years older. The entire look is too matureâthe mother of the bride outfit is the worst part, but also the stiff long hairstyle and brown smoky shadow. She needs to be taking cues from Kiernan Shipka!
Millie is wearing: Serum ⢠Moisturizer ⢠Eye mask ⢠Foundation in Light Medium 8 ⢠Powder in Light 1 ⢠Blush in Shy Shi ⢠Eyeshadow in Telepathic Taupe and Deep Velvet ⢠Eyeshadow in Sublime ⢠Eyeliner in Shade and Blk Coffee ⢠Mascara ⢠Brow gel in Brown ⢠Lip oil ⢠Lip liner in Supernatural ⢠Lipstick in LaBeija ⢠Lip gloss in Flesh Astral
Charlize Theron
Charlize Theron at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Charlize Theron at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Apparently, Charlize didn't have time to do her roots, so she adorned them with a diamond tennis bracelet instead! I can't say I'm a fan (although I'm not going to complain about her blonde because I'm pretty sure it's the lighting). Her go-to neutral makeup was updated with a pinky shadow from lash lines to brows.Â
Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Sarah Hyland at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Sarah's dress and spray tan seem more fitting for a springtime music event, not the SAG Awards in January. If she'd leaned into the pastel tones for a more ethereal look, it might've worked okay. But the tan plus the lashes, liner and contouring cheapen this.
Sarah is wearing: Foundation in 550 Light/Medium ⢠Blush in Innocence ⢠Eyeshadow in Peach Punch ⢠Mascara ⢠False lashes in Mia ⢠Brow pencil in Soft Brown ⢠Lip gloss in Fling
Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez at the 2020 SAG Awards.
Close-up of Jennifer Lopez at the 2020 SAG Awards.
I was hopeful that JLo would give us a head-to-toe old Hollywood moment, but the hair and makeup just aren't cutting it. The two face-framing pieces pulled out of her updo are really dated, as are the smoky eyes and heavy lashes. It's also a shame that her skin is covered in thick, shiny foundation... and that goopy nude lip look needs to go!

Peopleâs Choice Awards 2019: The Best Skin, Hair and Makeup on the Red Carpet
The people have spoken! Every year, fans do the voting for the People's Choice Awards, and this week, celebrities gathered in Los Angeles for the big reveal. Â
There's no category for red carpet beauty, but that's where we come in. Keep scrolling to see the standout hair and makeup looks of the night!
(Spoiler alert: I wasn't "wowed" here, so let's hope things get better as we head into award season!)
Jenna Dewan
Jenna Dewan at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Jenna Dewan at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Jenna is positively glowing (and it's not just makeupâshe's currently pregnant!). To go with her glam red dress, she chose a muted strawberry lip and an unexpected shimmery rose gold eyeshadow. While it's not particularly fashion-forward, and I prefer a lighter touch, she still looks stunning.
Jenna is wearing: Highlighter
Zendaya
Zendaya at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Zendaya at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Zendaya let her lips do the talking, with a bright matte orangey-red instead of her usual glossy neutrals. I love her hair in this high top knot, and how her skin looks sculpted but not heavy. I can even live with these false eyelashes.
Lucy Hale
Lucy Hale at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Lucy Hale at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Lucy went for a more romantic vibe, with a loose updo and a cool-toned makeup palette. The creamy rose lipstick is super pretty on her, and I think I see a shimmering purple on her eyelids. I don't mind these false lashes, either, but I do think the blush is a tad strong.
Lucy is wearing: Face mist ⢠Essence ⢠Serum ⢠Booster ⢠Moisturizer â˘Â Eye mask
Katherine McNamara
Katherine McNamara at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Katherine McNamara at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
I'm happy to see that Katherine finally tweaked her hair colour to a softer honey blonde (instead of this unflattering shade!). Now, we can actually appreciate her flawless skin and pretty makeupâlike the smoky-shimmery shadow she's wearing here. I still think she could have a lot more fun with her look, but baby steps!
Brittany Snow
Brittany Snow at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Brittany Snow at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Brittany, on the other hand, is still rocking the red hair she had at the TCAs. I think blonde looks a lot more natural on her, but the waves are pretty. I think the pink lipstick and eyeshadow also makes an interesting contrast against her warmer toned skin and hair.
Joey King
Joey King at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Joey King at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
We last saw Joey with short hair at the Emmys, so I'm guessing this bob was achieved with the help of extensions. Either way, I love the cut and the colour. Makeup-wise, the gold eyeshadow and sheer coral lips and perfectâI just think it would look fresher without the false lashes.
Joey is wearing: Foundation ⢠Concealer â˘Â Powder â˘Â Blush in Strip â˘Â Eyeshadow in Naked Honey ⢠Setting spray â˘Â Lip liner in Liar â˘Â Lipstick in Liar â˘Â Lip gloss in Honey
Kourtney Kardashian
Kourtney Kardashian at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Kourtney Kardashian at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Kourtney has such an unusual heart-shaped hairline, I love when she shows it off. Unfortunately, there's a bit too much bronzer and lip liner happening here, and the overall nude palette leaves something to be desired. Is it against the Kardashian rules to wear blush or bright lipstick? I want to give her some colour!
Sarah Hyland
Sarah Hyland at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Sarah Hyland at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Sarah did a vibrant orange lip, similar to Zendaya's, although the execution isn't nearly as cool. As usual, she added tons of shimmer eyeshadow, bronzer and even a dab of highlighter on the tip of her nose. (WHY do people do that?!) She has such great brows, I feel like she could pull this off in a much more minimalistic way, with just the bold mouth and a clean eye.
Sarah is wearing: Face mist ⢠Primer ⢠Foundation ⢠Highlighter in Candlelight and Rose Gold ⢠Bronzer in Suntan Bronze ⢠Eyeshadow in Can You Feel It ⢠Eyeshadow in Glam Attack ⢠Lip liner in Poppy ⢠Lipstick in Orange County
Kim Kardashian
Kim Kardashian at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Kim Kardashian at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Kim's hair, makeup and even her poses never really change, do they? The only thing perhaps a little different here is the extra-long hair, down to her waist. The big, chunky lashes replace the need for much shadow and liner, while her lips are overlined and glossed a la JLo.
Kim is wearing: Contour in Tan ⢠Contour in Warm Dark Brown ⢠Blush in Grace ⢠Lip liner in 90's Supermodel ⢠Lip liner in Nude 0.5 ⢠Lipstick in 90's Icon ⢠Lip gloss in Secret
Gwen Stefani
Gwen Stefani at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Close-up of Gwen Stefani at the 2019 People's Choice Awards.
Gwen strayed from her signature red lipstick to give us this OmbrĂŠ nude lip, jet-black liner, and over-the-top false lashes. Honestly, the eyes and brows are so harsh and aging. I feel like she might be clinging to her "stage makeup" from years ago, which doesn't work on more mature skin and especially not close-up.

Hollywood headed north last week for the annual Toronto International Film Festivalâalso known as TIFFâand its bevy of premieres, events and parties.
As usual, I've got all the glam you need to see, including Katherine Langford's winged eyes, Priyanka Chopra's smooth blowout and lots more.

Here are the best celebrity beauty looks:
Katherine Langford

Katherine has quickly become one of my favourites for unique eye makeup looks like this one. (Also remember this, this and this!) It's a cross between a smoky eye and a cat eye, and perfect against her healthy, dewy skin.

Priyanka Chopra

Leave it to Priyanka to bring the glamour. Wearing her hair loose and smooth dresses down the strapless gown, while heavy black liner and creamy brick lipstick elevate the makeup. It's all quite matte, but I actually don't mind!
Dakota Johnson
Dakota Johnson at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.

Dakota always manages to look effortless, and here, it's because of her messy bun with loose, face-framing pieces. The makeup is her signature berry lipstick colour with jet-black lashes and bare-looking skin.
Dakota is wearing: Lipstick in Matte Berry
Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Jojo Rabbit.'

Scarlett brightened up her complexion with a juicy sheer pink lipstick and matching blush. Then, the light gold highlighter at the inner corners of her eyes ties in with her metallic dress.
Gugu Mbatha-Raw

Gugu is channelling the 1980s in fuschia lipstick with an iridescent finish. Purple eyeliner and a high, curly updo complete the look. So fun!
Gugu is wearing: Eyeshadow in 15 ⢠Eyeliner in 5 ⢠False lashes ⢠Lipstick in Maharajah
Kristen Stewart
Kristen Stewart at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Seberg.'
Close-up of Kristen Stewart at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Seberg.'
Few people could ever pull off this exaggerated graphic eyeliner and shaggy bleached undercut, but somehow it's kinda cute on Kristen. (The Chanel outfit probably has something to do with that!)
Ana de Armas
Ana de Armas at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Knives Out.'
Close-up of Ana de Armas at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Knives Out.'
Ana played up her amazing eye colour with smudgy winged liner and a generous dusting of tawny shadow (which blends into her blush). I'm just not a fan of the bleached eyebrows.
Ana is wearing: Lip gloss in Noce Moscata
Felicity Jones
Felicity Jones at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Close-up of Felicity Jones at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Felicity kept it simple with side-swept bangs, softly waved hair and a slick of deep magenta lipstick. She's barely wearing any blush, and her eyes are emphasized with just a little liner and au naturel lashes. Love!
Shailene Woodley
Shailene Woodley at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Close-up of Shailene Woodley at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Now this is a smoky eye I'd love to copy. Shailene has black liner all the way around her eyes, with chunky lashes and grey shadow up to the brows. I love it with the messy hair and real skin. (Okay, maybe a little too real... she looks like she got a lot of sun this summer!)
Natalie Portman
Natalie Portman at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Lucy in the Sky.'
Close-up of Natalie Portman at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Lucy in the Sky.'
We've seen this look on her many times before, but Natalie is still gorgeous in an elegant updo and smoky eye makeup. I especially love the extra-thick eyeliner, and the pink blush and lipstick makes it pretty.
Natalie is wearing: Foundation ⢠Eyeshadow in Warm Neutrals ⢠Mascara ⢠Brow mascara â˘Â Lipstick in Whisper ⢠Lipstick in Ultra Ambitious
Bryce Dallas Howard
Bryce Dallas Howard at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Dads.'

Bryce was born to wear vampy berry lipsticks (remember this look?). Here, it grounds the half-up hairstyle and matte pink eyeshadow with a sense of sophistication. Notice how her upper lashes are jet black and chunky, but she left the lower lash lines bare.Â
Imogen Poots
Imogen Poots at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Close-up of Imogen Poots at the 2019 HFPA and Hollywood Reporter TIFF party.
Imogen is just so natural and prettyâeven with short baby bangs that are next to impossible to pull off! A little eyeliner and defined lower lashes are all she needs to dress up her undone updo.
Keke Palmer
Keke Palmer at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Hustlers.'
Close-up of Keke Palmer at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Hustlers.'
Reverse cat eyes were the focus for Keke's look, with the inner corners dipping down into precise, graphic points. She wisely paired 'em with a slick updo, brown lipstick and false lashes (the latter are a little over-the-top up close, but fine from afar).
Keke is wearing: Foundation ⢠Concealer ⢠Contour in Brown Sugar ⢠Blush in Body Language ⢠Highlighter ⢠Eyeliner in Blacquer 42 â˘Â Mascara ⢠Brow pencil â˘Â Lip liner in Chestnut
Lili Reinhart
Lili Reinhart at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Hustlers.'
Close-up of Lili Reinhart at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Hustlers.'
When your dress has sleeves like this, wearing your hair down is NOT an option. Instead, Lili paired a slicked-back updo with purple smoky eyes and fresh skin. Browns and blacks would have been too heavy (and predictable) with the white dress!
Lili is wearing: Foundation in 2N and 3N ⢠Concealer in Light and Medium ⢠Powder in Light Beige ⢠Eyeshadow in Amber Neutrals ⢠Blush in Hologram ⢠Lipstick in Caress ⢠Lipstick in Flower
Brie Larson
Brie Larson at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Just Mercy.'
Close-up of Brie Larson at the 2019 Toronto premiere of 'Just Mercy.'
Brie played it safe with her hair and makeup, but only because the back of her dress looked like this! The peachy-pink blush and lipstick are lovely with her skin, accented by that little pop of glow on her cheek. I'm just not in love with the shape of the updo (I prefer flatter on top).
Brie is wearing: Moisturizer ⢠Foundation in 20 and 30 ⢠Blush in Rose Petale ⢠Eyeshadow in Clair-Obscur ⢠Lipstick in Metallic Beige and LÊgèretÊ
Madeline Brewer

Madeline went for classic bombshell beauty, and to be honest, I find it a little dated. Maybe that's because I'm expecting looks like this from her! The kitten eyes and peachy makeup are fine, but I think it would be better if her hair was tied back.
Jennifer Lopez

Quelle surprise, JLo did her usual "ring around the eyes" eyeshadow and goopy, overdrawn lip glossâthis time, in orange tones to go with her yellow dress. I actually don't mind this from afar, it's just that the application is so heavy-handed. Also, her new blonde lob is very chic!
Constance Wu

Constance is trying to out-glam JLo, don't you think? While I do like this long, straight, shiny hairstyle, and even the glossy skin, the makeupâespecially the blushâis way too heavy. She doesn't need this much!
Jessica Biel

Jessica exudes confidence in one of the most minimal makeup looks at this festival. To go with her menswear-inspired suit, she rocked barely-there eye makeup with a sheer, matte peach lipstick and a neat updo.Â
Chloe Bennet

I like that Chloe's tawny makeup palette is an unexpected choice with her baby blue dress. However, with her OmbrĂŠ colour, piecey waves and heavy false lashes, I find this a little dated.Â

Lately, Nicole keeps giving us long blonde hair and red lipstick, when all we want is her red hair back and a little eyeliner! (Like thisâher best look in recent memory.) Also, her cheeks are getting so inflated, they're making her eyes recede!
