Hotd: tries to empower a woman in a situation where she is a victim of sexual predation, romanticizing pedophilia, grooming, and emotional (co)dependency
Also hotd: wait why are all these young girls and women shipping daemyra!!
I mean… I think people were gonna be weird enough to ship them anyway. I’m sure people did pre show and it was gross as hell in the book too
Edit: this was a convo I saw on Twitter that I thought was interesting. But it always fascinates when grrm himself is absolved of any blame despite being the actual creator of all these characters. While I do think grrm does lay the ground work to have real introspection about how things like incest in particular are detrimental. it’s just kind of funny to me that if anyone brings out the plethora amount of incest ships, inappropriate ships between young girls and older men, or my god the amount of r*pe/assault scenes in his books, you get hit with “historical accuracy” or “this is just how the fanasty genre is!!!”. Lame excuses if you ask me.

Hi! As someone who has written a million words of Lucemond I was hoping you could share your opinions on the ship itself? I recently got into the pairing but I’ve noticed that a large majority of creators feminize or hyper-feminize Luke. Between him and Aemond, Luke is the one who writers will only assign the role of omega in abo fics or give him the ability of mpreg which isn’t seen in other characters. I’m just curious as to why fic writers or artists have gone down this road of characterization for Luke (and vice versa not applied the same to Aemond). I have no idea if this has been debated or not within the fandom either but it seems like you’ve been pretty active in writing since the ship was first established. I read the book so I do know there’s a LARGE difference between book Luke and show Luke. The tv producers wanted more sympathy for Luke’s death so they really upped the insecurity and softness of his character but people have taken that to sort of pigeonhole him into a more feminized character in fics/art. Why does softness and insecurity translate into him being the one to carry a child or undergo traumatic events under Aemond’s thumb? This is def not me critiquing creators or saying it’s bad to feminize characters! I’m just curious as to why the pairing has evolved in this way because in the book Luke is not insecure at all and definitely more confident. Why do you think solely feminizing Luke is SO prolific in created content for the ship?
Hmm, as someone who has read F&B and watched the show I can only answer for myself since other than this little corner I’ve created, I choose not to interact outside of it often since fandom drama and heated debates have never been my thing.
I think one of many reasons so many people here have really gravitated towards assigning Luke the more soft, feminine and nurturing role between them is mostly because of the show. A lot of people i’ve interacted with here on tumblr and in Ao3 comment sections either haven’t read F&B at all or just prefer the show writers drastic changes. It’s the reason why ships like Rhaenyra/Alicent became so popular since HOTD came out. Alicent is often characterized as a doe-eyed girl failure by Rhaenicent shippers instead of her plotting, evil stepmother book counterpart because thats the version of her we got to see on our tv screens, therefore it’s the version many of us like to lean towards when making fanart or writing fic and the same goes for Luke. Though book Lucerys is by no means a shy anxiety filled boy who feels such immense guilt for mutilating Aemond, that’s what we were able to see playout through the show. It’s the characterization most saw and instantly loved.
On top of that, Aemond is Luke’s murderer who taunted and tormented him each chance he was given until the very end. So I feel that in a fandom where dead dove is as popular as it is, it makes sense for Luke to be the one undergoing such heavy trauma while Aemond is the one who inflicts it. I don’t think most of my fellow Lucemond writers put Luke through truama in fics BECAUSE he’s the more soft/feminine one, but because it aligns with canon. Luke was the prey and Aemond was the predator. Lucy being the chosen omega is just an added coincidence from how I see it.
And while I don’t like to speak for others I feel that when it comes to fic people (including myself) usually have a habit in making the smaller and or more sweet partner the omega simply cause a/b/o is an established troupe with each secondary gender having set characteristics. And while I don’t think that omega automatically equates to weak or helpless (most omega Luke fics I’ve read showcase him being strong willed and a little manipulative if it means luring Aemond over to the blacks side) that’s simply what people do when it comes to omegaverse.
As for non a/b/o fics that only assign Luke the ability to have children, I can’t answer why those authors chose that route because I haven’t made anything of the sort myself. While I have written a fic where Luke is a mother it’s a/b/o while the other establishes all targs as being able to give birth/ “sire” so it’s not just Luke. My only answer would be they just want Lucemond babies and decided Luke should be the one to carry.
But those are just my thoughts.

If someone is were to ask me why I shipped Lucemond, it would be a complicated answer. So many reasons why and I am not sure I can pin point an exact reason but I wanted to list some of the reasons why.
A big part is, enemies to lovers. It is a classic and I do enjoy a good pairing that fits in the box. And Lucemond fits every well in the box. Two people on opposite sides, a lot of tension. Some people who don’t ship Lucemond may wonder why someone would ship a character who had taken the eye out of the other. Ship a character who had killed the other. There is no real explanation, just something about it. People don’t have to understand it. Not everyone likes enemies to lovers, but it’s popular for a reason. And that’s a major why this ship is popular.
Now for most fandoms I am in…I’m not a fan of incest. Pretty much outside of ASOIAF/HOTD, any incest ship is an instant dislike. So there was a surprise why I liked this one. But I think a part of that is, incest is just apart of these characters. Apart of this family. It doesn’t feel weird shipping them as it would if it was another fandom. Another one of those “not sure why” but it’s something that just makes sense. And again, you can be in this fandom and not have an incest ships, that is completely fine. I don’t think it’s the incest that makes me ship it, the character themselves and their history is what draws me. But incest is just apart of that.
Which brings me to their history and how they behave. There is a lot to work with these characters. A lot of history, a lot of potential. And I enjoy a ship that I can imagine different scenarios. Where I can read many different stories with them involved and it not being too repetitive. And sure there are a lot of similar stories for Lucemond but they have the history and the behavior towards each other to make a good story between them.
And a bit of a selfish reason too. I like finding scenarios where the Dance doesn’t happen. Or a scenario where the characters (outside of some) survives. And Lucemond works well for that. If a betrothal happened or they bonded together and found peace. Forgiveness. This works outside of ABO or male Velaryon seahorse pregnancy too, so them both being males don’t hinder the story. And if it’s not ABO or male Velaryon seahorse pregnancy, you could still work on the betrothal/bonding together. Still have a marriage between them. Not saying that would be a perfect scenario to stop the dance but to me it make their ship interesting.
And of course I still like AUs of jealous Aemond, kidnapping, King Aemond, Aemond defecting for Luke, etc. I like those AUs where the dance happens but the outcomes are different. Which is the beauty of this ship, so many possibles.

Wait a minutes Jacegon has over 800 fics on ao3?? How are there only 3 good ones 😭 it has more fics than Helaemond and Rhaegon and the only ships above it in terms of fic count are the big hitters Daemyra, Lucemond, Rhaenicent and Rhaewin. I would definitely say it's among the most popular ships in the fandom.
well it's actually less than that. these are in the filters for the jacegon tag
Tumblr media
you've got half of it being just lucemond and a quarter being daemyra. jacegon is mostly set as a secondary pairing with these. so you actually got what? 300 or something where they are the main ship?
and as for there being only like 3 good ones, i jest of course, it's only that i'm pretty selective bc i have a pretty defined jace in my head and most of the fic really don't hit it for me. and i also don't really like abo so there's that

Favorite hotd ships? Might be a silly question lol, but shipping wars are real in this fandom and I would like to hear your opinion. Also, are there ships your really dislike?
I for one like Alicole, Helaemond (controversial in green fandom for some reason but idc), Rhaemond (Aemond and Rhaena would be great together in different circumstances, I'll die on this hill), Aegond (not romantically, but their sibling dynamics is everything). On the other hand, Alysmond, Daemyra or Lucemond are not my cup of tea. As for Rhaenicent, I wasn't really against it, but it seems that the writers are ready to sacrifice the consistency of the story and character arcs in order to push this ship and that's a big no.
OMG NONNIE THANK YOU FOR THE ASK!!!! Please keep them coming!! I love talking to y’all😭🩷✨
I have so many favorite ships! But I’ll talk about my most to least favorites! I’m also with you on Aegond so no explanation on that one<33 post is too long, I’ll put it under the cut!
1. Alicole! Always on top!!! There’s so many unresolved feelings between them. A mutual understanding and affection, they bonded over their resentment for Rhaenyra and it brought them closer and closer to the point that Fabien himself said that Cole wants what Alicent wants. Devotion, unconditional love and loyalty. And it’s so hot that Criston is also her sworn shield👀 he even killed because he thought someone disrespected her😮‍💨
2. Rhaemond! Oh this ship is my newest obsession and quite frankly, one of the most interesting ones! Rhaena and Aemond are both similar in so many aspects; both dragonless and overshadowed by their siblings, and the fact that Rhaena is Aemond’s biggest enemy’s betrothed? Yes. Give me the tension. The hatred. The enemies to lovers. I love them so much together. Grumpy/sunshine mixed with hate to love relationship✨✨
3. Helaegon! Yes, most people hate this ship for right reasons, but me…no, I love them. Yes, they’re toxic. Yes, there’s so many things wrong with their relationship, but I sincerely believe that even though they’re not in love as wife and husband, they love each other as siblings, as the parents of their children. Aegon’s not the best father and husband but I know that there’s a deep rooted affection he holds for his family. And the fact that they’re both victims of Otto’s skims…
4. Helaemond! This one is a popular one, and I love it too! It has such a unique dynamic. The second son who got nothing and craves everything given to his older brother, including their sister. I love how fans headcanon Helaena finding comfort in Aemond’s arms and vic verca.
5. Alysmond! Nah it’s probably because I’m a total Aemond girlie and don’t like seeing him with anyone lol but there’re so many things wrong with this ship. Alys is a middle aged wet nurse, and Aemond is 19, so basically there’re hints of grooming. Or even if not, Aemond takes her as his war prize, which is far from healthy. And there’s been talks about Alys manipulating Aemond into sleeping with her so she can be spared, which is still pretty toxic. It’s a no for me.
6. Rhaenicent! I love Alicent, she’s the apple of my eye, and I’m neutral with Rhaenyra, but it’s just not my thing. I like them as friends and with other people lol.
7. Daemyra! They’re both very very sexy, but I don’t like Daemon at all😭 grooming, manipulation, isolating Rhaenyra, abusive behavior… I think Rhaenyra deserves much better! (She deserves Harwin)
8. Lucemond… I can tolerate any other ship but this. Cheers to people who like them together, but it’s a very hard no for me. Luke is a child, a minor, and shipping him with an adult… yup. But also, I don’t think Aemond can ever find love for him in his heart, he took his freaking eye! And we saw how Vhagar chewed Luke so…

I think the major reason why Al*smond isn't (at the moment) more popular than Lucemond (imho this will surely remain the most popular Aemond ship by far), Helaemond, or OC ships with Rhaenyra's daughter is simply because of the fact that Alys hasn't yet been introduced in the show as his love interest…obviously most authors won't write something with a character that doesn't yet exist in the show. Most shippers are mainly show watchers and most fan fic writers are also basing their most of their stories on the show's characterization of Aemond (it's not hard to guess why, book!Aemond was unhinged while the show version is much more sympathetic) and there's also the fact that whatever he had with Alys in the book was pretty sketchy therefore no one can say for sure what direction they're going to take with the ship in the show. The thing is though that the ship, despite being canon, may never become more popular than some of Aemond's non-canon ships. Like you said, people have different tastes, they like different tropes in fiction and non-canon ships being more popular isn't something out of the ordinary in fandom. Also, the ship is def not something for everybody which is funny because many shippers pretend this pair has a super healthy dynamic and hold a holier-than-thou vs most other F&B and HOTD ships simply because it's not incest while ignoring the prisoner x captor dynamics and the massive age gap. Somehow all the bad aspects about this ship are to be ignored (because they're lies told by the maesters) and we should just go along and pretend it was just a tragic love story between a lowborn woman and a prince and nothing more. Yeah, I don't think so.
Yes, exactly that's what is annoying sometimes the way some delusional alysmond Stans try to present this ship as something extremely romantic which it wasn't is stupid. I enjoy this ship too but I would never say it was any dreamy or romantic stuff. Honestly I don't think any ship was romantic in Fnb dance story. Not a single ship in dance is good or healthy maybe except Jace / Baela. All of them are equally toxic, fighting for one and hating another is nothing just bullshit

Thanks so much for tagging me @unohanabbygirl 💛
1. How many works do you have on ao3
I have 4! Clearing the Storm Clouds, Love You to Death, Dandelion Heart, and Bittersweet Acts of Unconditional Love.
2. What’s your total ao3 word count?
119,359
3. What fandoms do you write for?
HOTD, specifically Lucemond and Jacelaena.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
1.Clearing the Storm Clouds
2.Love You to Death
3.Bittersweet Acts of Unconditional Love
4.Dandelion Heart
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I used to respond to every single comment, but after my hiatus I don’t really have the energy. I still really appreciate them though, and I hope I can start replying to them again soon.
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I actually don’t think I’m capable of writing an angsty ending to a fic… but maybe Love You to Death? With the current vision I have of the conclusion.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Dandelion Heart will end with only pure domestic bliss 💛
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not in the HOTD fandom. I think I got like one snippy comment on the very first Lucemond fic I posted but that’s about it. In this fandom, everyone has very strong opinions so I’m used to the odd comment every now and then but I definitely wouldn’t call them hate comments.
9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?
I do, even though I don’t feel I’m very good at it lol. It’s usually always purely devoted and lovelorn smut ?? I guess that’s how to describe it ??
10. Do you write crossovers? If so what’s the craziest one?
I don’t! That’s something I don’t think I could pull off very well.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Nah, I don’t think so?
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Nope.
13. Have you ever cowritten a fic before?
I haven’t. I’m a bit shy when it comes to my writing and my process so I don’t think I’d be comfortable sharing that with anyone else.
14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
In HOTD - Lucemond, in GOT - Sansan or Theonsa, and just overall - Merthur from Merlin .
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
My first HOTD fic, Bittersweet Acts of Unconditional Love. It’s a simple fic I started just to dip my toe into the world of HOTD writing, and it’s purpose was just to see how many parallels I could make between Lucemond and every other pairing in the show. I don’t particularly like my writing in it, and I’ll probably always have it on the back burner.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I have no idea honestly. I like to think I’m fairly good at capturing the loneliness and growing pains that come with being a young adult. I also like to think I portray sibling relationships accurately, since I have a big family.
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Again, I have no idea. I usually don’t like the dialogue I write. I’m also really shitty at writing Westeros politics lol
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Does High Valyrian count? I use it sometimes, but honestly all translation apps are shitty. As for real world languages, I only know a little bit of Korean and German, so I wouldn’t be confident in using those either.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Definitely Harry Potter. I was in love with Draco Malfoy 😅
20. Favorite fic you’ve ever written?
Dandelion Heart!!! Even though it’s my least popular one. I put the most heart into that one, and I love exploring the characters in the modern world. Every chapter is so fluffy and it fills my heart with warmth whenever I go back and re-read it. I love Helaena so much too, and honestly I feel like I’m falling in love with her along with Jace in every new chapter I write.
Again, thanks so much for tagging me! I really love doing ask games. I’m tagging @unusual-raccoon 💛

You seem tuned out of HOTD fandom so I don’t want to burden you LMAO but people are also very hot about Lucemond. It’s a real jungle out there. There’s a small but vocal section of Aemond fans who think if you write him being interested in anyone but Alys you’re demeaning the sanctity of their relationship. But, as you said, she’s not in the show yet. There is no reason for people who haven’t read Fire & Blood to have any inkling who she is. I would argue against the idea of canon or noncanon ships being self inserts solely because shippers like Aemond so much (that’s a lot of credit for him lol) but at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter. People are going to write whatever they want and this website gives you the tools to block and mute it 🤷‍♀️
I've never gotten behind shipping wars in the first place tbh.
Like, what are people taking away from you by sitting in their own corner, shipping Lucemond while you ship say...Aegond? Or Luke/Jacaerys (which is a very spicy ship btw, more awful and spoiled Jace/Luke, who are very much aware of how biased their grandfather is in their favour and use that to their advantage, less innocent little babies, who never ever bully anybody ever (biased)).
I have heard of Aemond Wives(?) before, I think they fall under the category you just mentioned but I also gotta admit that you're right, I am kinda tuned out of the Drama(tm). I also believe that most of the more unhinged takes seem to happen on twitter and I don't do twitter at all, it's way too aggressive for me.
Maybe I am seeing this as a bigger thing because whenever I look at the main tag, I see AemondxReader fics and Aemond definitely seems to be one of the more beloved characters (not to mention that Ewan Mitchell has a lot of people thirsting over him) so it would make sense that people tend to latch onto Aemond ships because they think he's hot.
(Which is btw nothing I am condemning, I have preferences in type too and I have read some xreader ships for other Fandoms, it's perfectly normal. I do think TGC is a hot dude and it obviously leads to me latching onto him more).
Sometimes it's also the only way I can explain the popularity of some ships tbh, when you have one character who is well-loved and the other has like two minutes of screentime, you kinda start to wonder where the obsession stems from -> especially when you have ships that seem like twice removed from their canon characterization in a very specific way (like - just a statement, not a judgement - making one character overly feminine and 'slutty' and having all the fics just be an accumulation of specific nsfw tropes).

Seeing a lot of discourse wondering why people have an issue with fem!Lucerys x Aemond. I’m firmly in the camp of “write what you want,” but I do think there’s genuinely stuff to talk about here.
1. For the most part, it’s self-insert tagged as lucemond, and therefore not lucemond. Luke isn’t even Luke at that point, but becomes an OC with (often) an entirely different name (Aemma, Visenya) and personality. This is honestly my main issue with this. Write your OC by all means, but tagging it as Luke/Aemond comes off as (at best) inaccurate and (at worst) disingenuous.
2. There’s never an excuse for hurling abuse at writers who do this. It’s immature, and creates more problems than it solves. However, I do think the resulting frustration reflects a deeper issue. Intentional or no, het!Lucemond inevitably comes off as trying to bend a gay ship into a heterosexual one for the sake of normativity. I’ve seen comments like “it’s easier for me to write hetero dynamics.” Then...write a pairing that has them.
3. lucemond gets a lot of homophobic flak presented as outrage over the (4 year) age difference, when the same critics ship Daemyra or Sandor/Sansa. I’ve been a part of the asoiaf fandom for a long time. Gay pairings exist, but they’re a lot less common.
4. This is an issue for another day, but a major part of lucemond’s popularity stems from the complexity of its characters. A lot of mainstream writers and showrunners seem to shy away from making lgbt characters complex or problematic, probably to avoid criticism. George R.R. Martin is a brilliant writer, but his gay characters aren’t all that deep (Renly and Loras). Laenor and Joffrey are also, in my opinion, the blandest characters in the show.
5. By contrast, Lucemond is a ship with two deeply flawed, dynamic and tragic characters (especially Aemond) and I really think lgbt writers and artists in particular hunger to explore that kind of complexity. We don’t see it that much. Moreover, Aemond is, in my view, a pretty gay-coded character (leather, a sapphire eye, consuming obsession and sexual repression? Come on). I don’t think it was intentional on the show’s part, but the fact that so many people picked up on it is hilarious to me considering how heteronormative asoiaf generally is.
Also, I should clarify: lesbian!lucemond is the shit. Gay angst is what we’re here for. Just trying to imperfectly explain why a lot of gay asoiaf shippers kind of have table scraps to work with (in-canon), so we’ve got to make our own thing. Seeing it turned into a het!self-insert is...bizarre...at times. Y’all have like a hundred ships to work with.

What made you ship lucemond?
Hello! Good question - the story is actually very funny, with much hasard. (personal rant incoming)
So a little historic before Lucemond, I've been on tumblr since 2012, entered my first fandoms at the same time. Been a huge GoT fan (it was one of my main fandom with Sherlock, SPN and Marvel) (Terminally online tumblr girl)
I had heard about HotD long before it was out, I wasn't especially hyped for it because I hated how Game of Thrones ended and I was "done" with the universe, at the same time I left tumblr (when it was dying because of the NSFW ban etc), left most of my fandom, I entered college, started to work at the same time... Become passionate about other things.
Now we are in October 2022, HotD is out, friends told me about it, I heard it was great. I was lurking on tumblr when a mutual rt'ed a funny post (the famous "you're not going to believe this" post with daemyra). It was the first time I really came across HotD stuff - then the same mutual rt'ed a Daemon fancam (yes). I was lurking on the likes/rt, and came across a BEAUTIFUL fanart. But it wasn't Daemon, it was another character I didn't know about. (the fanart) On this account, there were accounts that were "recommended" to follow, this is were I found my very first Lucemond account! (@/lucemond on twitter)
And then... I was OBSESSED. I started googling "Aemond", see who he was. Of course I was almost immediately introduced to Lucemond since it was very popular (the last episode just aired when I came across the accounts). I loved the chemistry instantly, thought Lucerys was adorable, and Aemond... someone hold me. I'm a huge fan of mlm and wlw ships, and there was just something very special about them (their story). Love me some submissive cute boy and his threatening war criminal boyfriend.
I had no time to watch HotD at the time, so I read a lot the wiki, lurked twitter accounts, started to read fics. What made me fall in love with Lucemond was really the fandom, the fans; people were so nice, so devoted to the ship. I started reading fanfiction, and almost instantly write some (it was hard at first since I hadn't watched the show yet). I am a huge reader, and I've always wanted to write more (I used too, years ago in my previous fandoms). But HotD is the first time in my life I write so much and I want to write even more (not only for Lucemond now since I've watched the show I could discover/understand more characters)
So here it is! It was really just... fate? Luck? If I had never seen that fanart, I would probably I've never came across Lucemond and would have never watched HotD, never written anything. Don't know what gods I need to thanks but I'm so glad it happened. ♡

Sorry to do this to you but I'm a very curious person, and I'll understand if you choose not to answer some of these. But here they are. 4, 5, 7, 12, 15, 16, 19, 21, 23, 30, 38, 39, 47.
Lol, no problem. I actually love these games so Ill answer a few! I might ramble tho 😭
7 - I’m very proud of the world building I’ve managed to do in fmn. Taking the modern world as we know it with concepts such as trashy reality tv, and social media and inserting those into Westeros while still keeping true to their society and traditions has been such a fun experience.
12 - Surprisingly enough as a proud Lucemonder, when I first got into fandom I didn’t particularly like enemies to lovers. Maybe it’s because I was a shojo kinda girl growing up and loved romance manga centered around the cliche childhood friends hiding their true feelings trope.
I think I was like 15 when I read a Brienne/Jamie fic for the first time and was like “wtf he’s such an asshole to her, why would anyone ship them?” but I was curious and gave it a chance which im happy I did because enemies to lovers is everything.
16 - I would absolutely love to read a Lucemond fic centered around the two of them learning healthy intimacy together in all forms. Luke is deathly afraid of rejection and has strong feelings of unworthiness while Aemond suffers from religious guilt and trauma from his first time at that brothel. So it would be nice to explore how the two work through those issues. Basically very tender pwp, but the plot is heavy.
21 - There actually is a missing scene I excluded from chapter 23. Jace asks Luke about his day out which ends with him alluding to almost hooking up with Aemond in the front seat and leads to Jace going out to threaten Aemond in the next chapter.
23 - A FAIRY OR MERMAID AU, omg I would die to write one. It would be so whimsical 😭
38 - Fmn becoming as popular as it is still shocks me because I uploaded it on a whim and never expected many ppl to read it. I initially thought most would find the concept to be over the top and avoid but I was apparently wrong because that’s what ive been told makes it appealing lmao.
Im sure combining so many popular tropes such as found family, reincarnation, and amnesia au is what attracted readers.

Am I the only person who is sick and tired of incest with Aemond? 90% of fics are incest is quie telling, like just because they are Targs are we to say incest is normal? Like if there were no other options
Oooh don’t shake the table too much lmaoooo.
Like I get we have to suspend disbelief… a LOT to watch and engage with whole world. But there is something to be said about the flippant way people engage and talk about real world elements of hotd
The fact that people can get ratio’d on twitter for saying something as simple as like “I personally don’t ship incest ships” is…. Wild. And kind of shows how far gone some folks are. It is pretty telling that people (even ones who claim to hate team green) have inserted Aemond, the one of the few character that is canonically not involved with an incest ship, into different ones. It’s really ://// to me that one of the most popular hotd ships is lucemond after the show aired (genderbent and not). And I say after the show aired bc it’s extra weird seeing the clear age difference between the actors. But that brings up the other age old fandom problem of people being weird ass fuck about mlm ships. That or they make an “oc” for the uncle/niece thing.
People can write and engage in whatever they want, I’m not here to police folks. But yeah I think these choices are very… interesting to put it nicely. And I think it is completely ok if people want to look critically at those fics/choices 🤷🏽‍♀️
