Okay @chaos-vulpix asked me for Simon & 141 encountering Koroks thoughts and so here is my little ramble

Was discussing this with some others too, so also some brainstorm credit / idea credit is owed to Govan, Kells and Goblin!! xD I'm not sure if you guys have tumblrs but I appreciate you all in also indulging in this fun silly idea with me. XD

So this is all inspired by this recent art I did of Simon with a korok lol.

I think he'd hate these little fuckers. They are small and supposed to be cute, and he is confused. Simon would encounter it and be like what the actual fuck is this thing and call Johnny for backup. Johnny thinks they're cute, and tries to convince his LT they are harmless but Ghost doesn't trust them. "These fuckers aren't in the field manual Johnny".

We also joked that Ghost, not knowing what the hell these koroks are at first, would just unload a whole mag in one but little does he know they're immune to bullets and tank the whole mag and are just like YA HA HA 😭😭😂

But maybe Ghost is actually a korok magnet lol. These little fuckers like him for some reason, against his will, and follow him everywhere. They are like lost puppies who follow Ghost around and show up when he least expects it. Disney princess Ghost with koroks. He hates it and wants them to leave him alone. One grabs his leg to give him a hug and he trips and injures himself trying to fucking kick it off and Soap just stands there laughing his ass off at him xD Simon is having a day.

And the thing that inspired all this was this fic I wrote that's an AU if Simon left the military to raise his young nephew Joseph, and Soap Is visiting them when he is sent on medical leave. Soap gets really into playing Zelda and when he's away Simon takes the controller to try out the game, he goes on a whole tirade of why he hates koroks xD I had totally forgotten i'd written all that and so it also inspired that artwork I linked earlier ahaha.

he has a pretty bad case of conduct disorder and has been compared to enoshima on many occasions because of it

his sisters have no idea, his twin kinda realized as she got older, his brother is 100% aware

rantaro's dad divorced his mom when he was about nineish, took his sister in the custody battle, but the dad fought for the two boys in the hopes that one of them would amount to SOMEthing

this is hyperspecific but. the "-taro" suffix is usualy reserved for the oldest son, so the reason rantaro is named that was because his brother ALREADY didnt live up to expectations, so his father saw rantaro as a replacement and named him accordingly

rantaro's talent came about because he has conduct disorder- the chronic boredom is why he travels so much in the first place, and the risk taking behavior commonly associated w cd is why he gets into so many Situations that make for good headlines

he's banned from morocco because he got caught graverobbing. everything he took had to be given back, except for ONE thing he got away with. he keeps it in his capsule necklace

yes he does drugs but he managed his habits well until shortly before his appearence in danganronpa 52, where he started getting worse cravings

rantaro used to have a mix of clear headed travels that are more backpacking or in rural areas or mountain climbing, AND stints in big cities where hed do some drugs and gamble

Uraraka headcanons‼️💖🪐 (togaocha and mini angst)

Toga was her awakening on who she was. (Bisexual) she was always in denial about it. She would say fruity stuff. Like always complimenting woman, saying she’d date Taylor swift if given the chance. (She’s a die hard Taylor swift fan) but she’s always like “but in a straight way!” Or “I’m straight!” but when she found toga her eyes was opened and she was like “holy shit.. I’m fucking gay!!” (Idk)

After togas death every blond person she came across reminded her of toga. It became a problem.

Sees present mic as a father figure. He calls her Kirby and she once gifted him a little Kirby figure and a handmade bracelet since she feels bad that hes always buying her stuff. Also her obsession for Kirby came from him since he started to call her Kirby.

Before meeting toga (again lmao 😭) she hated blood. You could say she kinda had a fear. She would feel sick at the sight. Which is ironic because she’s a hero so she always had to ignore it. “I’m glad you asked, Merry Christmas,” he shouted out in a sing-songy tone. Kuroo’s as festive as ever, adorned with a red santa hat, red flannel pajama pants, perfectly paired with his reindeer slippers. Just looking at him, you felt underdressed in your black tank top and pajama shorts that had matched his.

“Merry.. Christmas? That doesn’t answer my question though,” you were still confused on what prompted such an action from him. You glanced over to the presents under the tree and back to him. “When did you find the time to do this?”

“Well, I didn’t want to wake you. And I had to give my pretty girl the best present of them all first thing in the morning.” A cheeky smile stuck to your boyfriend’s face while you stayed put. You could tell he was waiting for you to unwrap him, but you were still attempting to process it all. You laughed, crossing your arms while you saw Kuroo’s smile drop into a concerned expression.

“You don’t like your gift? I thought it was perfect for you,” you rolled your eyes at his blatant teasing. “I know it’s the perfect gift for you. Something you must’ve been aching to receive in the morning, am i right?”

“You’re unbelievable, Tetsu. You never fail to surprise me,” you snickered, walking towards the chair. you go and join him in bed and obv you wanna cuddle up to him bc a) he's tom and b) maybe you get a little extra affection-needy when you've been drinking. however, i think tom's the kind of drunk who literally cannot multi-task to save his life. he'll do whatever you want, but it has to be a "right, we're doing this now, let's go" kinda thing or else he'll just space out. so you're sat in the bed waiting for him to realise and at least put his arm around you while he reads, but he's too engrossed. (wazzock is a term used in the general midlands dialect as an alternative word for like. idiot, silly goose, etc. there's a specific dialect where tom's canonically from, though, if you want to look up the sort of things he'd say, here's some good examples + i'm more than happy to try and help navigate what some words and phrases mean/are supposed to sound like lol)

anyway, you explain that he wasn't listening to you so Desperate Times Call For Desperate Measures and he laughs it off with you and wraps his arm around you for the night

except as time goes on, you start realising that actually, even though you've only done it the once, you miss the feeling of biting tom's arm. it doesn't help when the weather gets warmer so he's wearing tank tops and short sleeves all the time and just... putting them on display, it's torture. so any time you're running on autopilot, or you just really need to do something impulsive, you'll go up to him and bite his arm. at first it still takes him by surprise a lot and makes him laugh, but eventually, he just sort of looks at you like, "y'alright?" and you'll just nod and he'll nod back and carry on doing whatever he's doing

besides, he totally gets you back for it when you guys are getting intimate. he doesn't bite anywhere that'll be super obvious, you're not teenagers leaving hickies on each others' necks, but he'll leave a nice little toothy bruise on your inner thigh, or just beneath your breast, or on your hip. just so that whenever you catch a glimpse of yourself in the shower or whatever, you're reminded that he can bite back, too 😌

he was absolutely terrified to hold her. like, you had to convince him that he wasn’t going to hurt her.

the first time he actually does hold her, though, you can tell that something inside him changes. you can see, all at once, how it clicks in his mind that he’s a father now. this is his baby girl, his daughter. the only blood he has.

in that moment, he’s wearing a plain white hoodie and some sweats, way more dressed down that usual, and his curls are all over the place. they fall over his eyes and he looks at jovie in wonder and in awe.

as soon as she’s asleep, he’s scooting an uncomfortable plastic hospital chair close enough to your bed and telling you about how happy he is.

“she’s so fucking little, love. i swear, she’s a whole ray of sunshine by herself.”

there’s no way he’s letting her out of his sight after that. anywhere she does, he does too. you’re busy, then he’s got her.

he worries literally all the time about her. if she’s not wearing socks, he’s worried that she’s going to catch a cold. if she’s wearing a hat, he’s worried that she’s hot.

lemon comes to visit you in the hospital and he’s absolutely enamored with jovie the moment he meets her. he can make her smile easier than anyone else from the beginning.

he also brings her a little thomas the tank engine stuffed toy that has a special place on her shelf

when jovie can’t sleep, you take turns on who wakes up to get her, and when it’s his turn you can head through the monitor that he sings her to sleep

in a low voice that’s shaky but not uncomfortable, he sings lullabies

if he’s not going that, he’s just telling her how much he loves her in a soothing voice, holding her cradled in his arms

it gets harder and harder for him to leave for jobs, especially longer ones. every time, though, he comes back with a trinket or a postcard to add to her shelf

it’s a growing collection of places that he promises to take her one day and you get to watch as he carefully places each item in its perfect spot after showing it to jovie (who couldn’t care less at the time, but it will grow to be one of her favorite things)

you can’t count the number of times you’ve found him fast asleep on the couch, jovie ticked against his chest, the two people who mean the most to you so peaceful and content

she already asks everyone to call her yuu-chan if they're gonna be hanging out a lot... but hearing it come from choro gives her butterflies ewww (audience awws). i think both of them are a little embarrassed by being called pet names - choro in the way where he secretly loves them yuu in the way where shes like oh god i am going to die of cringe. i think the upper limit she'd tolerate from him is something like angel or sweetheart. you do some booboo bear sweetie pie type of nickname and she's covering her face and hiding. calling her something like yuu-tan would kill her instantly. in an uno reverse though she takes great pleasure in calling choro chororin and watching him squirm LOL

i think her biggest 2 are words of affirmation (giving) and physical touch (receiving)... she's a little shy about pda (at least when shes sober lmfao) but likes to be someones object of affection. not particularly vocal about being needy and generally pretty independent but when she does get her paws on choro shes googoo booboo mode clinging to him like a koala and everyones like boooooo get a room. she loves to hype choro up and be his cheerleader when he's feeling unsure about himself ^_^ i think she could probably genuinely get him to find a job and keep it. she wants to see him like himself and succeed at what he tries to do!! also lowkey her manga cafe paycheck is not enough to make them a one income household if he's serious about their relationship to the point he wants to marry her

the short answer is her hair specifically the undyed roots and the cowlicks. originally her hair was all pink but then it got too expensive to keep dyeing them so now shes incorporated it into being part of the Look. her cowlicks bother her a little bc its unruly no matter how she styles her hair but choro calls them her moe point and shes like omg ur so right king

the long answer is being really really really into anime and crane games. being called an otaku is like the equivalent of being called a gross yucky nerd and being ostracized and shoved in a locker... but by all of society. so she goes to great lengths to hide her interests especially as a girl. most people think creepy weird guy when you say otaku right...!! but at the end of the day shes not doing anything wrong by being interested in what shes interested in. she goes to her silly offline meetups and does her silly little akihabara trips in stealth mode even though the whole time she's terrified she'll run into someone she knows. she goes to her shifts at the manga cafe relieved that the only person who might walk in there is choro and she knows he's too broke to show up in the first place lol. but the older she gets the less she'll care about how other people perceive her for her hobbies. the wonders of ur brain when it finishes cooking... ^_^💖

Shawn Mendes on Pausing his Tour and why he shaved his head

The singer-songwriter talks about putting his mental health first: 'The last year and a half has been the most eye-opening and growing and beautiful and just healing process of my life'

Celebrity haircuts aren't typically breaking news, but then again most celebrities aren't Shawn Mendes.

Since his days of uploading pop covers to YouTube and Vine in the 2010s, he has become a global sensation, with four No. 1 spots on the Bilboard 200 chart, three Grammy nominations and 71 million followers on Instagram. So when the musician debuted a closely cropped 'do in January, his fans wondered: What happened to his flowing curls? And why?

"I think everyone should know what they look like with a shaved head," Mr. Mendes, 24, said in an interview last week. "I also was just feeling this urge to just shake myself up a little bit."

The hair is just a small change in a year of major transformation for Mr. Mendes. Last July, halfway through his "Wonder" world tour, he canceled his remaining dates to focus on his mental health, a move that made international headlines. Since then, he's been seeing a therapist and spending more time with friends and family in Los Angeles.

Now, after some time away from music, he's getting back in the studio. "I'm at the point where I'm like, OK, I'm ready to start making some songs,' which is exciting," he said. Here, he talks about therapy, singing in the shower and Sally Rooney.

What time do you get up on Mondays, and what's the first thing you do after waking up?

I wake up around 7. I get out of bed, I drink a liter of water and I get in the car to go to a coffee shop. I meet some friends for coffee, and we chat for about an hour and a half.

How do you like your breakfast? And does someone prepare it for you, or do you make it yourself?

usually make it. It's pretty simple. I'll make three scrambled eggs and a couple pieces of toast and I'll make a little avocado egg toast situation.

In 2020, you were often spotted walking around your neighborhood with a coffee mug that looked empty to some observers. What was in it?

The coffee was in it, always.

How do you decide what to wear?

I was just looking at my closet. I wear a lot of the same things. I think my friends would probably say that they see me wearing the same sweater every day, which is true when I wear it to the coffee shop. But it's pretty chill. Ilike to have a tank top on with a cardigan and some jeans and that's pretty much my go-to.

Do you meditate?

Meditation has really changed my life. I also am really into doing saunas and ice baths and stuff like that.

Speaking of, you put up a TikTok on Christmas of yourself doing a cold plunge in a river. How often do you do extreme things for self-care?

I mean, listen, I'm kind of crazy when it comes to the ice baths. I have one, so I do it a lot. I do it probably five, six times a week. I know it's a lot, but people who know me know that when I get on something that I like for the first little bit, I can be a little bit obsessive.

Last year you told fans you were canceling your tour dates to focus on mental health. What was that like for you?

The process was very difficult. A lot of doing therapy, a lot of trying to understand how I was feeling and what was making me feel that way. And then doing the work to help myself and heal. And also leaning on people in my life to help a little bit. It's been a lot of work, but I think the last year and a half has been the most eye-opening and growing and beautiful and just healing process of my life. I'm also really grateful for all the people that were so accepting and loving and kind and understanding. And it just really made me see how culture is really starting to get to a place where mental health is really becoming a priority.

You're newly working with jeweler David Yurman. When did you start wearing jewelry? How would you advise a man who's looking for a place to start with it?

I think Istarted wearing jewelry properly when I was 17. I started with a ring, a silver ring. I think you have to start with one piece, like a necklace or a ring or a bracelet and see how it makes you feel. Commit to it for a week. Don't feel the need to be wearing tons of rings or tons of necklaces or bracelets or whatever. Just put on what you feel good at your pace and you'll start to build your own aesthetic, which can be a really fun process.

Do you sing in the shower?

I do, for sure. I still have a lot of insecurities when it comes to singing, so I take that opportunity to let it go.

What are you watching and reading?

Ijust started watching this series called "Normal People." There's a book by Sally Rooney. Do you know about it? It's pretty incredible. What am I reading? I was reading "On the Road" for a minute. I got halfway through it.

What's one piece of advice you've gotten that's guided you?

Understanding how setting boundaries does not make you an unkind person has really changed my life. And also understanding that it's not easy to do. It's a difficult thing to do. It feels uncomfortable. It makes other people feel a little uncomfortable for a moment, but ultimately it's a very powerful and helpful thing to do for every relationship. So yeah, boundary-setting is not mean, it's actually very important. It's very kind, actually. (x)
