One eyebrow raises, lips curling to mirror the movement. They’re familiar with the concept of a ‘shovel talk’, of course, but this is the first time they have ever actually come across one – or rather, the idea of one, since it seems Brokkr knows such a thing would be pointless in this scenario.

Brokkr will surely understand what they mean. A flick of the wrist and a large tankard, filled generously to the brim, appears in the trickster’s hand. “Are you obliged to threaten me further, or can I interest you in a drink?”
